The Official Unofficial Ouendan-EBA Formspring RP (Not the actual title) was an ongoing series of non-official Character Blogs featuring, well... the Ouendan and Elite Beat Agents. On Formspring. It was very Slice of Life, with plenty of Alternate Character Interpretation among other interesting things.

Sadly, after the departure of most of the major characters, (most notably half of Yuuhi, Asahi, and virtually every agent) it slowly began to die off, with very few interactions between characters and updates on their blogs.

The final blow came on August 1, 2015, when Formspring became a portal for twoo.com, an online dating service.

Links to their blogs are still here, (as well as any character-specific tropes) but don't expect to get anywhere.

The Yuuhi Ouendan

Kai Doumeki (DoumekiKai)

Captain/Danchou of Yuuhi. My job is the most important thing in my life next to looking after my subordinates. They're a handful, but seeing their progress makes every (painful) second worth it.

Bruiser with a Soft Center: Has shades of this at times.

Cuteness Proximity: He loves all things cute.
Figure It Out Yourself: He's very fond of being vague for this reason.

Licked by the Dog: Rho's baby brother, ChooChoo, likes Kai regardless of the latter's demeanor and appearance.
Mysterious Past: Would like to keep it that way.
Parental Substitute:
- Is something of a father figure to his students.
- Becomes one for Momo after his grandparents passed away. It grows into adopting the teen.
Poor Communication Kills: His one huge flaw.

Tsundere: Gets like this when Kaoru initiates P.D.A., which is very often.

Kai flat out states to Hajime that years ago Sayaka used to purposely forget her glasses due to hating how they looked. Cuddle Bug: Sometimes she can fall under the No Sense of Personal Space territory^noteNotably with Reika.
Daddy's Girl: Heavily implied. Could be the cause of their on and off ambivalence.

Even the Girls Want Her: If that one anon is to be believed.
Female Gaze: Morris assumes that she does this with her fellow Ouendan.
Friendless Background: As a child, she was more often bullied than befriended.

Hard-Drinking Party Girl: She certainly enjoys her beer, but can't handle mixed drinks well
I'm Taking Her Home with Me!: Has said to several of the others that she wants to keep them in a box (Honoka, Momotaro, Taichi), or lock them away in a tower (Reika). Actually built a rock, house-sized box for Taichi...with her fists.
I Thought Everyone Could Do That: How she regarded her (abnormal) strength. Granted, a large number of characters are quite powerful in strength.
Neat Freak: Falls into this occasionally.
That Came Out Wrong: But she's learned to embrace it.
The Gadfly: Will frequently fib just to get a reaction.

Roaring Rampage of Rescue: She can be quite protective of Momo.
Shrinking Violet: Surprisingly, she can't take very direct/sincere compliments very well. Probably a result of being bullied/teased as a child Played for Laughs when a confession from Ryuuta spurred a rare violent reaction.
Spear Counterpart: In Taichi. Naturally, they're good friends.

Take Off Your Clothes: Said to Momotaro once before.

Vitriolic Best Buds: With Reika, although it's limited to psychological warfare.

Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: She hasn't appeared in a long while. She reappeared for a brief stint, but has once again succumbed to the syndrome.

Aoi Kanda (PinkSparklesAoi)

Failed a Spot Check: Because Aoi didn't realize Ouendan was a paid job, Kai held onto twelve paychecks until she finally picked them up.

Shinta Kikuchi (kikuchishinta)

Junior member of the Asahi Ouendan. If you need help, just call for us! Yell it into the air... don't worry, we'll find you.

Actual Pacifist: Shinta always feels guilty after physically harming someone. Even if the aggressor had every intent on harming him.
Beware the Nice Ones: He can defend himself in a fight, even unintentionally.
Dark and Troubled Past: As the only son of the Corrupt Corporate Executive Kikuchi family's Black Sheep, Shinta's often been the dog everyone likes to kick.
Dude Looks Like a Lady: Taichi first thought Shinta was oddly named for a girl.
"Freaky Friday" Flip:
- With an Alternate Universe version of himself.
- Despite there being an actual Halloween Episode, this occurred close enough to the holiday for a few characters to comment on it.
Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Hayato.
In Vino Veritas: He's a lot more... light-hearted when drunk.

Paralyzing Fear of Sexuality: It's strongly suggested that Shinta doesn't feel ready to have sex with Sayaka whenever she brings it up. He usually ends up stammering and blushing whenever they discuss sexual things.
Pretty Boy: Sayaka explicitly calls him a Bishōnen.
So Proud of You: Often on the receiving end of this. Shinta's not a fan of such occurrences... Not because he doesn't like the praise-giver, but because he doesn't believe that whatever just happened was so praise-worthy.
Stepford Smiler: To prevent others from worrying too much about him.
Straight Man: This leads Shinta to play devil's advocate with various characters on occasion. Commonly Hayato, or Taichi, but one instance had him up against both Kai and Kaoru concerning Reika's fiancee. He also plays Straight Man to Hayato's Wise Guy.
Sweet Tooth: Why, yes, he'd be glad to take that giga pudding off your hands.
Taking a Level in Badass: Lampshaded by Ryuuta. Shinta vehemently denies it.
Vitriolic Best Buds: For all of Hayato's pranks and nonsensical talk, Shinta actually turns into a Deadpan Snarker. But they still consider each other best of friends.

I'm whiny, sarcastic, and head strong, but on the plus side I'm attractive! I'm being kind of sarcastic about this.

The left-hand cheergirl of the Asahi Ouendan. Values grace, beauty and ramen. Do not feed alcohol. Is still trying to overcome her naivety. There's a new experience every day~

Arranged Marriage: Was almost forced into one with a total Jerkass. A little forceful persuasion called it off.
Beware the Nice Ones: Is generally a very demure girl who can tolerate quite a bit, but if you push her too far, she might put that old nagitana of hers to good use.
Big Fancy House: She got it from her aunt as a sort of family keepsake. It should be noted that her parents' house is much larger.
Cant Hold Their Liquor: The few times she has alcohol are... interesting.
Cuteness Proximity: Loves all things cute.
Daddy's Girl: Her dad really likes to spoil her, and outright insulting him is a prime Berserk Button for her.

Drives Like Crazy: We've seen her in action once, and it was enough to temporarily give Sayaka a Heroic BSoD.

Hey! My name is Momotaro but some call me "Momo" or "Mo". I was born from a peach and I have two loving parents. I try my best to help my friends and family when they need it.

Affectionate Nickname: Calls Sayaka and Kai his "neechan" and "Papa" respectively.

Badass on Paper: He is an incarnation of the Momotaro legacy and managed to help save Wonderland from a zombie epidemic, but his timid, shy nature makes it hard to believe that.
Cant Hold Their Liquor: Passed out after drinking a full glass of sake, and was very drunk afterwards when Kai revived him. Kai has been helping him to improve from this and some other things like Tender Tears, Apologizes a Lot and Speech Impediment.
Cuddle Bug: From Sayaka, he probably learned to like to cuddle others more often, particularly her and Kai.
Dragged into Drag:
- He ends up wearing a dress once in awhile courtesy of Sayaka or Red.
- One of the outfits was a maid's dress which attracted a lot of guys.
Facial Markings: That peach-shaped mark on his forehead.
Happily Adopted: Was raised by a loving but aging couple. Unfortunately those parents passed away due to age. Kai ends up taking care of him, and adopting him too.

Glass Cannon: Kai describes him as such when offering Kishi coffee, Persona 4 comic style.

Time Travel: Claims to be an Elite Beat Agent from the future. ...But he seems to have crashed his time machine.

Haruka Saionji (fukakuaiiro)

Let's be clear; I am Saionji Haruka. Not "Saionji Hayato no Imouto". Former member of an Ouendan in a neighboring town. It's disbanded, now, so I'm back home.

Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: As with Hayato, implied.

Ice Queen: Lampshaded in a conversation between Sayaka and Taichi.
Original Character: For Ouendan.
Shout-Out: Her screen name is taken from this version of Matryoshka.
Strong Family Resemblance: Almost Half-Identical Twins with Hayato, if not for the fact that they aren't actually twins.
Tall, Dark, and Snarky: Though not really dark, and her skills and height have yet to be touched upon. Sayaka did want to call her "Onee-san" though.
Tomboyish Ponytail: A bun in this case.
Tsundere: Type A. Evident when she talks about Hayato.

A Birthday, Not a Break: A minor example. Shinta's dad ended up in the hospital the day before Trisil's birthday, giving the reason to not celebrate the day.
Complaining About Shows You Don't Like: He doesn't like My Little Pony, and complains about it if it's brought up to him.
Fanboy: He was pretty excited to meet the Ouendan and later Quote.

The Anons

Although most of them are just random questions, there are a few interesting characters among the bunch. Here are the character tropes for some of them.

The Cameo: Sometimes friends of characters who don't feel like making accounts end up showing up as Anons. Although certain ones temporarily ran existing characters' accounts. Uuji for Irisu, and Ryan for Rachii.
Fan Nickname: Stalker-san for Reika's Stalker with a Crush and Rezu-chan for the person who got Sayaka's swimsuit (but not really).
Logic Bomb: An anon account now exists... meaning the identity-less now has an identity, but remains identity-less?
Stalker with a Crush: Stalker-san is Reika's. You could also count Rezu-chan.
Unsettling Gender-Reveal: Sayaka thought the person asking for her swimsuit was a guy until this.

Reika is a bad driver, as evidenced by the shopping trip she had with Sayaka.
Usa-kun, Honoka's bunny plushie, is thought as sentient to Honoka.
Momo once noted a dream of being obsessed with pancakes.
Honoka admitted to being from Switzerland.
Kai mentioned offhand that he Eats Babies.

References to other series

Various video games of different systems and series are mentioned throughout blogs, notably due to a number of the characters being video game fans. The following series have just garnered a cameo by being played by the characters:

Trisil retorts to Snow White with cry of "Well Excuuuuuuse me Princess!" when she attempts to boot him off for upsetting Momotaro even more from the news of Ryuuta's confession to Sayaka.
There are plenty of references to the Persona series:
- During the trip to Japan, there was mention of them going to Inaba near the end. It didn't happen.
- Quote also mentions going off to find a similar robot to himself nearby.
- Sayaka decides to nickname Reika "Minako", a Fan Nickname for the female protagonist of Persona 3 Portable. It helps that she said her leitmotif would be the Persona Music Live Band version of Time. It also helps that they're both nagitana-users, as well as Way of Life possibly explaining part of Reika's backstory.
- After Shinta rejects his nickname of "Voyeur" (itself a Shout-Out to Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts), Taichi offers to nickname him Kashihara.
- One anon decided to send Sayaka the lyrics to various songs from the series. She only got "Your Affection".
- At the Summer Watermelon Party, Kai offers Kishi coffee, Persona 4 Comic Style
Kahn suggested that Kaoru and Kai try Grog XD.
Ageha was probably thinking of this theme song while she was drunk.
Shibuya as depicted in The World Ends with You seems to be the Shibuya some of the characters are familiar with.
- Shinta refers to Hideki Kikuchi, the shopkeeper from Mexican Dog, as his slightly-eccentric, Spanish-speaking cousin.
- Quote also confuses the Reaper's Game for a similar kind of game...
- Haruka owns Tigre Punks brand jeans.
Curly's first thought when it comes to a song about baking cupcakes? The Delicious Tomato Song!
765 Pro and 876 Pro seems to be quite popular, with their songs (and outfits based off of their works) appearing from time to time.
Karaoke sessions often brings in songs from different medias, including Vocaloid. Sometimes characters will break out into song, including things like The Time Warp and Magical Witch Punie-chan.
Quote explained his long absence as a trip to Bizzaro Earth. Made Hilarious in Hindsight now that the 3DS port of Cave Story was released by Nippon Ichi.
Sayaka and Rin once made a banana split, Swedish style. Then they remembered they had to clean up.
Taichi makes a few references to the Rance series, specifically with the running gag of a "ハイパー兵器"^notehyper weapon. Reika's Halloween costume was also a reference to Uesugi Kenshin from Sengoku Rance.
The last cartoon Taichi saw was Beat Blades Haruka.
Very early on, Quote wondered why Sayaka wasn't dead yet. Note this was shortly after a certain anime series ended...
Some of the girls^noteand Momo received a message claiming they could become magical girls if they formed a contract with it.
Kai tells an ill Momotaro to "go the f*ck to sleep" in a furious fashion.
Morris asks Red if one of the pirates that occasionally invade Wonderland is called Captain Hook.
Kahn is a pretty cool guy.
Taichi and Sayaka are both known fans of Yume Miru Kusuri's Shiraki Aeka.
In response to being asked what he'd legally change his name to, Shinta jokingly answers Mitsurugi Reiji.
A Shout-Out to Final Fantasy was made a little while back when Shinta received an anon message saying "DWARF?" and Shinta responded with "Lali-ho".
The song name that Ageha is trying to recall in response to this is Macuilxochitl.
Reika and Joe once took a trip to Gatewater Land.
Morris and Derek play a round of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, while also playing the 'Bop' game, which eventually culminates in Morris uttering "I'm eating old men". An anon lampshades this…and, along with Morris, makes another reference to Super Mario Sunshine Versus.
After Reika announces that their concert has raised 980,000 yen, Morris comments "Good! Great! Awesome! Outstanding! AMAZING!"
For her 17th birthday, Red got Momo, Quote, and Curly to come with her to an oni-infested manor on the outskirts of some town.

This Fan Work contains examples of:

Air Hugging: The characters aren't always implied to be in the same place, hence the Internet hugs that occur. In a different sense, averted, as a majority of the guys aren't afraid of embracing each other. Whether these are man hugs or otherwise isn't really specified.

All There in the Manual: This page is the main "manual" for some of the characters' backstories. There are also a few other works made by the RPers showing things such as What If? scenarios and characters not seen in the RP proper. Said scenarios may also count as Recursive Fanfiction.
Arbitrary Skepticism: Averted. There's no reason why they shouldn't believe in the things they encounter.

Chie still finds the non-Persona related things around her hard to believe, though.

Big Ol' Eyebrows: Applies to most of the male characters. Mostly noticeable on Kai and Hayato.
Big "WHAT?!": Happens when a character is confused or shocked.
Bilingual Dialogue:
- Taichi also speaks French, every now and then.
- Hajime knows several languages.
- Rho includes some Vietnamese in her dialog as well.
- In an odd case, Taichi and Sayaka had a conversation in binary and base64. It's probable that all the parties involved threw their text into a translator, though. Haruka and Ryuuta did just that to see what was going on.

Birthday Episode: Characters usually take the time to have some sort of celebration event for the birthday person.
Breaking the Fourth Wall: Sometimes it happens, complete with Lampshade Hanging over the ruins. Trisil is especially guilty of this.

Caught on Tape: A few incidents end up recorded, much to the victim's dismay. Unless you count the fact that the site keeps track of practically every detail.

Character Development: Due to many events, most of them have changed compared to when they first started their blog.
Characterization Marches On: Some of these changes aren't necessarily caused by canonical events, but simply a change in writing.
Chekhov's Skill:
- The Ouendan's ability to "read auras". It comes in handy when looking for people, helps determine whether a target is worthy of help, and to tell a person's mood.
- An ability lifted straight from White-Jet's fanfic, Life of an Agent.

Color-Coded for Your Convenience: The Yuuhi wear black and red. The Asahi wear blue and white. The cheer girls are opposite this. The Yuuhi cheer girls wear blue. The Asahi girls wear red.
Commuting on a Bus: Some characters tend to disappear for awhile, return, then disappear again.
Long Bus Trip: Save for Agent J, Hajime, Ryuuta, Saitou, Suzuki, Kaoru, Rin, Spin, Chieftain, Starr, and Missy never got off.
Competence Zone: Averted. Age doesn't make a difference here, even when not in the twenties age range. Occasionally played straight or inverted.
Continuity Drift: Due to players' different perspectives on the games as well as the continual introduction of outside fandoms.
Continuity Nod: Characters sometimes reference the events that happened in their games. They also refer back to previous FS events including the trips taken during 2011. The sun-saving incident gets mentioned especially often. Other examples involve the zombie infestation of Wonderland, Taichi's dimension-hopping, and the Rhombulan invasion.

Crapsaccharine World: Think about it. Almost everyone has some sort of troubled past or family issue, one character is a bad day away from trying to kill everyone and the one thing preventing him from doing so is gone now, the resident cute boys are traumatized from having to fight their friends, and the world has almost been destroyed/taken over nine times^note.
Crossover Shipping: Shipping can get pretty interesting because of all the different series involved.
Department of Redundancy Department: The name of the Asahi's boat. The name of their boat is Asahi Sunrise III, and Asahi means 'sunrise'. So... the name of their sailing vessel is "Sunrise Sunrise III".

Dysfunction Junction: Darn near every character has some sort of dark and tragic past.
Early-Bird Cameo: Quote suggested that they visit Upper Misaka-cho sometime. Note that this was long before Taichi made an appearance.

Fantastic Romance: Red Riding Hood and Pit. See also Mayfly–December Romance.
Feminine Women Can Cook: Played Straight and Subverted. Reika and Honoka are girly and cook well as Sayaka and Red are tomboyish and they cook well too.
Form-Fitting Wardrobe: Most, if not all of the female characters. Some of the guys, too.
Friendly Tickle Torture: Sayaka once gave Momo this treatment to make him spill the beans about his cooking skills.

Girls Love Stuffed Animals: Played straight for the most part; most of the females love plushies with differing levels.

Halloween Episode: Involved karaoke, a little bit of inebriation, and a short-lived haunted house. All in costume, of course.

Humble Hero: None of the characters brag about their heroic deeds.

Improbable Hairstyle: Hayato to some extent. His hair is parted in the middle, yet he still has a piece of it in his face.◊ Starting in the middle of the part.

In Name Only: Snow White has very little in common with her fairy tale and Disney counterpart.

Karaoke Box: There's often a karaoke party once in a while.

Kissing Under the Influence: May ensue with drunken Sayaka.
The Knights Who Say "Squee!": The gang can have their own fanboy/fangirl moments at times.
Kubrick Stare: Displayed in some of the character's icons.
Let's Mock the Monsters: Occurs whenever an anon decides to troll the characters.
Let's Just Be Friends: Occurred with Sayaka and Momotaro with the pair including this phrase word for word. However, it's somewhat averted as they still maintained their friendship afterwards with not much trouble.
Like Brother and Sister: Sayaka has sibling-like bonds with Momotaro.

Mega Crossover:
- There are characters from Cave Story, Zombie Panic In Wonderland, Irisu Syndrome! and CROSS†CHANNEL, alongside a few Original Characters from original and canon universes.
- Chie's arrival means that the Persona series can be counted as well.
- Kid Icarus (and by extent Super Smash Bros.) has been tossed into the mix with Pit joining the gang.
- Dante has made an appearance.
- Luigi.

Mood Whiplash: You'd be surprised at how often dramatic and non-dramatic events happen to occur at around the same time.

Ms Fan Service: The majority of female characters. Sayaka in particular. Out of all the girls, she's the one who has worn the most revealing/tight outfits.

Nonstandard Character Design: Due to the large crossover of characters, not to mention the amount of fanart made specifically for the RP or not.
Medium Blending: Some icons are made using 3D Custom Girl, which is Exactly What It Says on the Tin.
Mirror Character: Rachii and Irisu have disturbingly similar character arcs, despite being opposites in terms of personality. Both were Spurned into Suicide after a major decision on their crushes' parts. Both had their accounts temporarily taken over by a guy they knew well. Both recovered rather quickly, which is a good thing.

Only Known by Their Nickname: Agent Chieftain, J, and Spin.

Perfect Health: Played straight and averted. There are characters that have been sick, and others who haven't sneezed or coughed since they appeared.
Platonic Life-Partners: Taichi and Sayaka are... an interesting duo. Now subverted as Sayaka developed feelings for him. Those feelings are put aside when she started pursuing Shinta.

Protagonist-Centered Morality: A somewhat minor case, depending on if one views certain characters as the main protagonists.

Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: Snow White, of course. There are also some male examples: Kai, Chieftain, Momotaro, and Quote.
Relationship Reboot: Sayaka convinces Shinta (eventually) for the two of them to start over relationship-wise.

Say It with Hearts: Certain characters uses hearts in their conversations.

Shout-Out: All over the place! The title of this page is actually a Shout-Out to the Ouendan 2 Let's Play.
Sickeningly Sweethearts: Pit and Red can get overly affectionate at times.
Sick Episode: So far, a handful of the characters had their sick days whether it be an illness or an injury.
Slapstick: Practically anyone can be subject to abuse for comedic reasons.
Slice of Life: Normally, any other work under these sorts of circumstances would be labeled a Crack Fic, but most of the situations the characters face are positively tame compared to canon.

Take That!: Most of the comments Trisil makes about the characters. That's right. A Take That! about the RP's characters from one of the RP characters.
Theme Song Power Up: Invoked during the Halloween Episode, when Reika and Sayaka had a duel while the Leitmotif of their cosplayed characters was playing. Reika had Mars and Sayaka had Purity. It should be noted that Taichi was the one who started the theme-playing in the first place.
The Three Faces of Eve: The innocent Honoka as the child, the often worried Reika as the wife, and Sayaka who loves sexual things as the seductress.
Those Two Guys:
- Morris and Derek.
- Sugita and Moriyama.
- Saitou and Suzuki were also this.
Toilet Humor: Happens few times, especially since it's implied that Nobody Poops is averted when the situation calls for it.
Too Much Information: Kishi suffers hearing about Sayaka's sexlife and methods when he asked what "the d" is.

Twerp Sweating: Kai had a few "discussions" with Momotaro back when the peach boy was dating Sayaka.
Undead Tax Exemption: Averted. Momotaro had to go through a formal adoption process when he moved to Yuuhi. Taichi also mentions that he had some problems at first explaining his rather long absence, especially with regards to marriage papers.
Vacation Episode: The road trip around Japan and a summer vacation to Florida.
Violation of Common Sense: We're dealing with the Ouendan here, along with many other series with supernatural things.

Wacky Parent, Serious Child: Inverted with the serious Kai and childish Momo.

World of Badass: More like a high concentration of badass from multiple worlds, but you should be very careful with who you mess with here. Wonderland is a specific example.
Younger Than They Look:
- The Danchous look like they could be in their 40s, but Kaoru is only 38. Suzuki has stated that he's only 23; not much older than Rin and Sayaka, even with his official art's stern expression.◊
- Hajime is also stated to be 23, but looks like he's no older than 16 or 17.
You Won't Like How I Taste: Said by Sayaka when Sunagi attempts to eat the cheergirl.
