    General
  • Cool and Unusual Punishment: Apart from the ones that redeemed themselves, the main members are punished for their crimes by being sentenced to Little Homeworld and are forced to learn the norms of their lives.
  • Evil Reactionary: Implied to be the Legion of Doom's goal in the final scene of "Rejuvenated", judging by Holly Blue hoping the Big Bad's plans will let her have some peace and quiet.
    • When the group is first shown assembled in the final scene of "Black and White", Aquamarine declares they will take back Homeworld from "those delusional communists."
    • "The Warning" and "Enemy of my Enemy" fully show it, with the former revealing that tons of Gems also wish to restore the old ways and the latter showing a Bad Future where the Hive Caste System is reinstated, among other horrible things.
  • The Last DJ: Many of them refuse to accept Era 3 out of a belief that they could create a better society and would find a better leader who is far better than that what the Diamonds have become.
  • Legion of Doom: They are a group of malicious gems who have come together to seek revenge against the Crystal Gems and all who stand by their side.
  • The Remnant: Near the end of the series, what was once a powerful terrorist armada has been reduced to nothing but a club of grouchy bigots. At this point, they clearly realize the power of friendship may be more useful than what they originally thought.
  • Renegade Splinter Faction: Black Rutile's faction is made of Gems who formerly served the Great Diamond Authority until Steven came along and changed Homeworld's ways, infuriating Black Rutile and inspiring her to gather rebels to rise up against the Crystal Gems.
  • Standard Evil Empire Hierarchy:
    • The Emperor: Black Rutile
    • The Right Hands: Aquamarine, White Topaz, and Cinnabar
    • The General: Andesine, Emerald, and Holly Blue Agate
    • The Guard: Eyeball
    • The Oddball: Cat's Eye
  • We Have Become Complacent: They all believe Steven has made the Gem race weak enough to be enslaved and conquered. Black Rutile herself believes she's more worthy to rule Homeworld. Although, there are a few that disagree with her being in charge.
  • You Can't Go Home Again: Ironically, these gems who go against everything the Crystal Gems stand for, and are supporters of the oppression of the Gempire, are unable to return back to Homeworld after everything they have done.
  • Your Terrorists Are Our Freedom Fighters: They all believe they are fighting to free Homeworld from the Crystal Gems' oppressiveness, but how they do so makes it very hard to believe.

    Black Rutile (Unmarked Spoilers
Voiced by: Noël Wells
  • Allegorical Character: She's implied to be this of the Hatedom, not just Steven Universe's hatedom, but in general. She accuses the heroes of many things that were critiques of the series like letting enemies go unpunished just because they say they're sorry, and thinking everything can be resolved by hugging and crying. White Topaz calls her, Aquamarine, and Eyeball out on this during Fragments.
White Topaz: I'm being serious you guys! The three of you may think you're Gems of the people, but I don't think Gems like those would ever hyperfocus on ruining the life of one person instead of just focusing on something healthier!
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: Black Rutile gathers as much intelligence on her foes as she possibly can to prepare for her invasion of Earth. Despite this, the Crystal Gems were still able to outsmart her the first time around.
  • Badass Bookworm: Black Rutile demonstrates herself to be a fearsome warrior and a master planner in all her appearances. As she proclaims during her Villain Song, she worked and studied hard to gain her high status among White Diamond's court.
  • Badly Battered Babysitter: Black Rutile reveals herself to be both this and a Babysitter from Hell to Pink Diamond in "Gems' Night Out."
  • Big Bad: Black Rutile has served as the Greater-Scope Villain of Parts 1 & 3 and the Climax Boss of Parts 2 & 4. While there were other antagonists, she's the Woman Behind the Woman for most of them.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: When we first are properly introduced to her, she seems to be a nice but carefree reporter that wants to inspire all gems across the stars and is willing to learn about the lives of the Crystal Gems. Turns out, she did this to find a way to get under their skin and exploit some fatal flaw of theirs.
  • Black Swords Are Better: Black Rutile has one that she uses to cut Cactus Steven to pieces at the end of "Prickly Pair". As stated by Word of God, it's a bowie knife that can transform into either a regular sword or Cloud Strife's Buster Sword.
  • Bond Villain Stupidity: She tries to avert this by dropping a boulder on Steven after tossing him off a cliff to make sure he's truly crushed to death, but she didn't account for Connie making it just in time to save him.
  • Break Them by Talking: Black Rutile spends her entire screen time in "Gems' Night Out" doing this to Steven in the hopes that she'll turn him against his friends.
  • The Chessmaster: Realizing Jasper had no true allegiance, she decides to manipulate her and Steven into going against each other in "Fragments", leading to Jasper's death. Bonus points for creating a holographic chessboard in the opening with her visor and placing a piece resembling Jasper in the middle.
  • Complexity Addiction: Black Rutile's initial plan is implied by Mean Lapis to be this, making her wonder why they can't just go down to Earth and kill the Crystal Gems. Upon hearing this, Holly Blue shuts her down. Aquamarine and Eyeball also point out that they tried to bluntly kill them, and it caused them to fail miserably.
  • The Corrupter: In contrast to Steven being The Redeemer, she is very good at persuading people into helping her. In fact, she is surprisingly good at bringing out the worst in them.
  • Dance Battler: Her fighting style is described as a mix of capoeira and gymnastics.
  • Detrimental Determination: Her fixation on destroying Steven and ruling the Gem race slowly causes her to lose everything, from her subordinates, to her lair, and White Diamond's respect for her, until she's left wondering "Was It Really Worth It??"
  • The Dragon: Essentially became one of these to The Diamonds after centuries of hard work. However, she is just merely one of many.
  • Enemy Eats Your Lunch: While mocking Steven about his recent shortcomings in "Gems Night Out", she eats his Cookie Cat Ice cream bar.
  • Establishing Character Moment: Black Rutile's introduction is described as confident and charming, contrasting with her true persona revealed at the end of her debut chapter.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: While she does love being praised, she actually hates it when her subordinates take it too far by brown-nosing her. This is best shown with Navy Ruby.
  • Evil Chancellor: Black Rutile is a highly esteemed member of White Diamond's court who has been plotting against her.
  • Evil Counterpart: Black Rutile may be billed as Steven's most recent Arch-Enemy, but she also shares similarities with Pink Diamond/Rose Quartz (bringing Gems together because of her anger at Homeworld society) and Bismuth (plans revenge against those she believes are more powerful in terms of status for the perceived betterment of others).
  • Evil Mentor: To Cinnabar during the Rebellion, as revealed in "Hard as Stone".
  • Expy: Of Captain Hook, Frieza, Yzma, Dr. Nefarious, N. Tropy, the Hacker, Megabyte, Lord Dominator, Lex Luthor, Megatron, Aku, Bradford Buzzard, Senator Steven Armstrong, Handsome Jack, Lilith Clawthorne, Vergil, Grogar, Cinder Fall, Doctor Doom and Xemnas.
  • Fatal Flaw: Pride. It is not only her greatest strength but also her greatest weakness. It was her oppressive ego that started all of the shenanigans that led to the events of the series. And this weakness isn't caused by her underestimating her opponents, but rather because she is overestimating herself. And this extreme confidence almost always causes her to neglect the tiny flaws that can make the largest impacts on her plan. And while she is fine with taking responsibility for her actions, it is usually the catastrophic aftermath that always enrages her.
  • Full-Circle Revolution: The first Bad Future shows self-proclaimed rebel Black Rutile as the supreme ruler of the Gems and a far crueler dictator than the Diamonds.
  • Gaslighting: As foreshadowing in the closing notes of "Change your Heart", "Gems Night Out" features Black Rutile manipulating Steven into believing that no one ever truly loved him and that he should do the same. Despite Steven assuring himself that he's still loved in the end, it seems to be working.
  • Go-Getter Girl: Black Rutile has risen up to the upper echelons of White Diamond's court through hundreds of years of hard work.
  • A God Am I: In "Little Homeworld Life", she calls herself an angel wreathed in luminescent darkness. She really isn't.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Black Rutile serves as this for "Cracks and Buds", "Bluebird", "Rejuvenated" and to a lesser extent "Why so Blue?".
    • Black Rutile would also be confirmed as the one who helped Spinel find the Rejuvenator and the injector before her debut in the movie, partially making her this to that as well.
  • How the Mighty Have Fallen: Black Rutile's ultimate fate by the story's end. She's lost her good standing with the Diamonds, all her assets, and most of her minions, and is enrolled against her will at Little Homeschool. However, she still plans to get her revenge.
  • Hypocrite: She berates Pink for throwing tantrums when things don't go her way, yet she is prone to throwing tantrums when things don't go her way either.
  • Immortal Immaturity: Despite her age, she has the mentality of what can only be described as a rowdy teenage girl.
  • Ironic Name: Rutiles are said to give off an aura of safety and calmness. Black Rutile wants to destroy Steven and is said by Word of God to throw tantrums when things don't go her way.
  • Kick the Dog: "Prickly Pair" ends with Black Rutile attacking Cactus Steven and cutting him to pieces after he makes peace with Steven.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Black Rutile was hinted to be this before, but "The Warning" firmly establishes her status by showing her shatter one of Demantoid's Bismuths (on-screen, no less) and took great joy in awakening Cluster Gems to add to her army. Then the climax of "Enemy of my Enemy" has her attempting to kill Steven by throwing him off a cliff!
    • Black Rutile's appearances after that play her as even more dangerous than we've seen her prior, from gaslighting Steven into turning against his allies to turning the human race against the Gems.
  • Knight Templar: Black Rutile believes she would make a better leader than Steven and the Diamonds, and says that she'll build a utopia once they're all out of the picture. However, the Bad Future implies that she would have been a terrible leader.
  • Let No Crisis Go to Waste: While the Crystal Gems are occupied throughout "I Am My Monster", Black Rutile uses this opportunity to turn humanity against them.
  • Manipulative Bitch: Black Rutile plays others like a fiddle on a regular basis. She fooled the Crystal Gems into thinking she was a friendly Intrepid Reporter to hide her true intentions, has turned Yellow Zircon's electoral campaign into a mouthpiece for her revolution which she uses to gather more followers, gaslights Steven into thinking he was never loved in order to spawn negative thoughts that would culminate into turning him into a monster and convinced the human race to turn against the Crystal Gems via hacking a US government satellite.
    • This review for "Fusion Frenzy" puts it best:
OMAC001: "Yeesh, Black Rutile knows how to play people. Of course, she only knows how to bring out the worst, instead of the best".
  • Must Have Caffeine: Becomes a coffee addict by the first episode of "Little Homeworld Life", and she describes it as slowly realizing how it's one of the only things keeping her sane now.
  • Never My Fault: Subverted in "Fragments", where Black Rutile admits that her large ego is just as much to blame for her failures as White Topaz's bumbling.
  • No Love for the Wicked: According to this post, Black Rutile is an Aroace. According to her creator, this is because "she has better things to do than find a lover like plotting schemes, thinking of ways to harm the Crystal Gems & being a complete lunatic".
  • "Not So Different" Remark: Black Rutile claims Steven is this to Pink Diamond for forcing the Diamonds to do what he says. Though she's thankful he didn't get his way by throwing tantrums as Pink does. Steven eventually uses this against her at the end of the story.
    • Black Rutile points this out to Jasper during their battle in "Love Like You." Both refuse to move on, but Black Rutile wants to make her perfect future while Jasper insists on staying in the past. This makes Jasper declare that she is "cracked".
  • Psychopathic Woman Child: She will often throw violent childish fits of rage when things don't go her way and has a fortitude similar to that of a typical teenage girl.
  • Puppet Queen: Black Rutile is secretly in control of Prosecuting Zircon's campaign, by installing Navy as her campaign manager.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: As of "The Future", she replaces her broken green visor with a red one. How she got it was further explored in "The Trial of Black Rutile", were Holly Blue managed to obtain it while the rest of Black Rutile's assets were seized.
  • Red Baron: Black Rutile is referred to as the "Striking Shadow of the Rebellion" by Holly Blue in "Made Me Realize".
  • The Resenter: Black Rutile has long resented Pink Diamond for her status despite her bratty behavior while Black Rutile's hard work earned her a high spot in White Diamond's court.
  • Shadow Archetype: Black Rutile is this to multiple characters, particularly Steven, Pink Diamond, White Diamond, and Jasper.
    • Like Steven and Jasper, Black Rutile refuses to accept the current status quo. However, she has a far unhealthier way of doing so.
    • Like Pink, Black Rutile has a very high standing in Gem society and a bunch of attitude problems. While Pink Took a Level in Kindness over time, Black Rutile never changed for the better, leading her to become The Sociopath menacing the Crystal Gems.
    • Like White, Black Rutile believes herself to be a symbol of perfection and has the abilities to back that claim. She also seems to be what White could've been if she was Beyond Redemption like Black Rutile is stated to be.
  • Smart Jerk and Nice Moron: Black Rutile is an Evil Genius with Delusions Of Grandeur, White Topaz is her sweethearted Dumb Muscle.
  • Smug Snake: It's her defining trait. She absolutely loves bragging about just how great she is, when in reality she is nothing more but a low ranking Rutile who honestly believes she could be just as magnificent as a Diamond.
  • The Sociopath: Black Rutile is called one multiple time, and shows it best through feeding lies about Steven to other Gems, showing little care for her subordinates when they're defeated, showing no empathy while the Diamonds mourned Pink Diamond, pretending to be all sweet & friendly to hide how wicked and spiteful she is, and believing herself to be a Well-Intentioned Extremist.
  • The Starscream: During Black Rutile's Villain Song, she reveals that she'll be coming for the Diamonds once the Crystal Gems are destroyed. As shown in the Bad Future earlier, she would've succeeded too.
  • Villainous Breakdown: "Made Me Realize" ends on Black Rutile losing it and snapping her visor in two after being betrayed by White Topaz, and she shrieks Pink's name at the top of her non existent lungs.
  • Villain Decay: She becomes far less threatening after her defeat. And what is worse, she knows it.
  • Villain Has a Point: Lightyearpig implies Black Rutile is intended to be this. She may be a sociopathic Evil Reactionary, but she does raise some good points about how drastically Steven changed the Gem race and the number of Gems cast out due to refusing to change with the times sided with her.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: Black Rutile presents herself as the true savior of Gems while Steven is demonized for helping begin Era 3.
  • Virtue Is Weakness: Black Rutile extols this philosophy at the end of "Gems' Night Out."
Black Rutile: Kindness is a mere concept that can easily be exploited and turned against you. That is why I prefer power through fear and control. And you should start doing the same. When you think someone is deliberately doing something selfish without thinking of you despite you being dragged along, you must fight back! Got it?!
  • Visionary Villain: Black Rutile believes herself to be a far worthier ruler of Gemkind than the Diamonds and will go to any lengths to prove it.
  • Walking Armory: Black Rutile possesses many gadgets that she stores in her gem.
  • Walking Spoiler: Because she is essentially the driving force of Alternate Future and plays a crucial role in almost every single event, then her being this shouldn't come as a surprise.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Rutile admits that she was never made for combat, but the only reason why she became the deadly foe she is today is through hard work and skilled training.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Black Rutile states that she and Hessonite were close before Hessonite was sent to Earth in Save the Light.
  • What You Are in the Dark: Upon hearing of Pink Diamond's shattering, she gave a speech to her subordinates that she'll be missed. After she's out of the public eye however, she is ecstatic Pink's gone, so she won't have to deal with her anymore.
    White Topaz (Unmarked Spoilers
Voiced by: Lauren Ash
  • Anti-Villain: Starts to show shades of this from "Fragments" onwards, objecting to her sociopathic master's plans while trying to help Steven by suggesting he get help. Black Rutile continues to shut White Topaz down with the threat of shattering her, and White Topaz has no choice but to obey.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Just because she is a Nice Girl, doesn't mean she is a weak one. She has the strength to incapacitate a person with a single good punch, and is by no means a push over.
  • Bruiser with a Soft Center: According to Aquamarine, all Topazes are like this after she was partnered up with a pair of Imperial Topazes.
  • Butt-Monkey: She almost always is the gem that is being picked at by her allies simply because of how she often shows reluctance in trying to stand up to the Crystal Gems and often questions the morality of her allies.
  • Co-Dragons: She and Aquamarine both serve as Black Rutile's second in commands.
  • Cynic–Idealist Duo: She is the idealist to Jasper's cynic.
  • Establishing Character Moment: Similarly to her boss, White Topaz turns the camera to face her and waves to the audience.
  • Evil Counterpart: White Topaz shares a few similarities with Pearl, as white Gems with an Undying Loyalty to their superiors, and Amethyst, as the Big Fun of her group with a complicated relationship with a more slender Gem.
  • Expy: Of Mr. Smee, Scorpia, Kronk, Harley Quinn, Gluntz, Lefou, Sonata Dusk, Pinky, Lugnut, Soos, GIR, Ty Lee, Demencia, Free, Android 16, Norm, Whis, Knut, Buff Frog and Noi.
  • Grew a Spine: After the main Diamonds, Spinel, and Lemon Jade made White Topaz realize that Black Rutile never truly cared about her and only was doing this for self alone. As such, she finally has the courage to stand up to her once and for all.
  • Heel–Face Turn: She undergoes one in "Made Me Realize", where White Topaz finally stands up to Black Rutile for her constant abuse and delusions of grandeur before deciding to help save Steven.
  • Impossible Shadow Puppets: Justified as White Topaz likes to shapeshift her fingers into various characters whenever she does a shadow puppet show.
  • Mighty Glacier: As expected from a Topaz. She is extremely strong and very durable but is also quite slow and can get out of breath quite easily.
  • Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: Among many other factors, this is one of the reasons White Topaz betrays Black Rutile halfway through Part 4.
  • Morality Pet: She becomes one to ''Jasper'' out of all gems.
  • Mundane Utility: As stated above, she likes to use her shapeshifting for making shadow puppets.
  • Noble Top Enforcer: White Topaz is Black Rutile's bodyguard who is far nicer than her boss.
  • Subordinate Excuse: Despite Black Rutile's abuse, White Topaz stuck around her regardless because she thought of Black Rutile as a friend. Unfortunately, Black Rutile doesn't feel the same way at all, which is one of the factors behind White Topaz's Heel–Face Turn.
  • Ship Tease: Jasper and White Topaz become each other's first true friends in "Be-All, Cure-All", but it's also implied there might be something more.
  • Token Good Team Mate: She is the only Lucent Gem who is genuinely not malicious and shows no form of grudge against the Crystal Gems whatsoever.
  • Villainous BSoD: She is completely dumbfounded by how easily Stevonnie was able to destroy her fusion with her boss. She only snaps out of it once her teammates start approaching a nearby cave.
  • Visual Pun: A very clever one at that. Her gemstone is located on the back of her right hand and is Black Rutile's most loyal subordinate, and personal bodyguard. One could say that she is Black Rutile's right-hand gem.
  • Walking Spoiler: While not as colossal as Black Rutile, she still plays a large role in the story considering she is the sidekick who is always questioning her boss's decisions.
  • White Hair, Black Heart: Subverted with her, she's actually a Nice Girl with an F in evil.
    Aquamarine
Voiced by: Della Saba
  • Arch-Enemy: She seems to be one to Peridot. But considering their history with each other, it isn't that surprising.
  • Ascended Extra: Aquamarine & Eyeball were never heard from again after "Bluebird" despite flying off vowing revenge. In Alternate Future, they're major antagonists.
  • Bubble Gun: After some extensive training, Aquamarine can lob bubbles from her wings. At first, they seem harmless, but they can actually pack quite the punk on their targets. She can even create mist bombs with them that can blind her opponents for a while.
  • Co-Dragons: She and White Topaz both serve as Black Rutile's second in commands.
  • Ironic Name: Her name means "Water of the Sea", and yet she doesn't know how to swim.
  • Villain Has a Point: Despite being a very snobby and brattish gem, she is right about most Topazes being "hard on the outside and soft on the inside". This then causes Eyeball to jokingly call White Topaz a "jawbreaker with a nougat center".
    Eyeball Ruby
Voiced by: Charlyne Yi
  • Ascended Extra: Aquamarine & Eyeball were never heard from again after "Bluebird" despite flying off vowing revenge. In Alternate Future, they're major antagonists.
  • Dragon Ascendant: After having enough of dealing with Doc' incompetence, she decides to finally stand up to her and take over her position of being the leader of the Ruby Squad.
  • Flaming Sword: after some extensive training, she can now set her chisel knife ablaze and turn it into a flaming sword.
  • Forgotten Friend, New Foe: Downplayed. Jasper barely acknowledges Eyeball in "Love Like You", though Eyeball never personally knew Jasper anyways.
  • Never My Fault: She brings up that Steven and the Gems left her to rot in space, ignoring that the only reason they did this was that she tried to kill Steven.
  • Token Good Teammate: Eyeball initially seems to be set up as this due to her newfound questioning of Black Rutile's ideals following their defeat at the end of Alternate Future. However, any chance of a Heel–Face Turn is dropped as soon as Eyeball realizes that she and Aquamarine are the only friends they have left, and regains her faith in their master.
  • Wreathed in Flames: Just like Ruby, Eyeball can also engulf herself in flames and perform a very devastating fire dash. She uses this ability to counter Amethyst's spin dash.
    Emerald
Voiced by: Jinkx Monsoon
  • Adaptational Villiainy: The author for the revamp states that Emerald will be far more dangerous in the revamp, as she will be treated less like a joke and more like a genuine threat.
  • Adaptational Weapon Swap: She wields a spiked club in the original version, but her revamped counterpart instead uses a ray-shaped saber.
  • Ascended Extra: She makes her grand return in this series and serves as a major antagonist. And is clearly far more threatening than she was in her debut.
  • Berserk Button: She hates being reminded of all the times she was humiliated. So much so that she will snap at the simplest mention of it.
  • Birds of a Feather: She and Morganite have become good friends due to their mutual hatred towards the Off Colors.
  • Demoted to Dragon: She was once the commander of her star fleet, now she is the advisor of what she describes as a "lower crust, pretending to be an upper crust" However, she does respect Black Rutile as she greatly admires her tenacity.
  • Dragon-in-Chief: However, despite what has been stated above, she still has command over her various crew mates.
  • Emerald Power: As the name implies, she is green and very powerful. She demonstrates this by blasting her foes with green lightning.
  • Honest Advisor: She became Black Rutile's loyal advisor after the two elites decided to form an alliance.
  • Not-So-Harmless Villain: She wants to make it very clear that she is a powerful, high-ranking beryl that you should not mess with. Lars and the Off Colors learn this the hard way.
  • Oddly Shaped Sword: Downplayed. Her weapon of choice is shown to be a saber with a blade that is shaped like a very pointy ray attached to a chappe that has a lightning design similar to her tiara.
  • Red Baron: She is often referred to as the "Verdant Stormer" during the gem war.
  • Tranquil Fury: Despite her mellow nature after being enrolled into Little Homeworld, it is very much clear that she still hates the Off Colors.
  • Yellow Lightning, Blue Lightning: In this case, it is a mix of the two in the form of green lightning.
    Holly Blue Agate
Voiced by: Christine Pedi
  • Adaptational Villainy: Goes from having a Hazy-Feel Turn in the original series to remaining a villain and being a proud member of the Legion of Doom here.
  • Ascended Extra: She is now a recurring antagonist of the series.
  • Failed a Spot Check: As noted by Black Rutile, her not noticing Pearl's star, the symbol of the Crystal Gems, that she wasn't even trying to hide, was an epic fail on her part.
  • Sarcasm-Blind: She genuinely thinks Morganite was willing to surrender even though there was so much on the line, and wasn't aware she didn't mean it.
    Morganite
Voiced by: Hayley Kiyoko
  • Adaptational Badass: It has been confirmed by the creator of revamp that Morganite will play a much bigger role in the story.
  • Art Attacker: While not literal pigments, her "spells" are all art-themed and create the illusion that they are some form of ink/paint.
  • Asian Rudeness: While she isn't from Asia, she does have a lot of Japanese motifs in her design, and is very rude.
  • Bad Boss: Morganite to her Pearl and Ruby, who would eventually form Rhodonite. Although she claims to be more reasonable in the present, it's all a cover for her true allegiance.
  • Birds of a Feather: She and Emerald have become good friends due to their mutual hatred towards the Off Colors.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She presents herself as being very mannered in polite, however, her true colors are far more malicious and calculating.
  • Creepy Child: While she only looks like a child, she is definitely unnerving to those around her.
  • Creepy Monotone: She speaks in a very deadpan monotone which is quite unnerving.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Despite her regal appearance, she is very snarky.
  • Evil Sorceress: She is a mage of sorts that is known for being quite malicious.
  • Expy: She seems to be based on Morgan Le Fay. But she also seems to have a few quirks and mannerisms that are based on both Ashley, and Mandy.
  • I Surrender, Suckers: She sarcastically tells Citrine that they surrender and that she can cuff them. But she is shown to be smirking while doing so, making it very clear that she believes the Quartz has little to no chance of winning the fight. Surprisingly, she was wrong.
  • It's All About Me: Morganite is very self-centered and when Rhodonite is born, she's worried they'll put her reputation on the line. She even states that the two gems would be less than nothing if weren't for her accomplishments. She even shows reluctance in calling Black Rutile her superior as she secretly thinks the Rutile is too incompetent to achieve any of her "plans". And she was right.
  • Mad Artist: There are a lot of paintings in her temple that resembles the smoke monster that Garnet burned. It is implied that these were gems who disobeyed Morganite far too many times, and their gem shards were ground into the very pigments that made up those paintings.
  • Magic Staff: Here weapon is a staff that resembles a pen that she can use to channel her magical abilities. It can even shrink down and become a Magic Wand for more precise work.
  • Mind over Matter: Not only can she float herself, but she can also use telekinesis to lift both people and large objects into the air and then fling them about at high speeds as if they were a mouse cursor dragging a file.
  • Narcissist: As she appears more often, it is made clear that her ego is even bigger than Blcak Rutile's and she loves to inflate it whenever she can. It take ridiculously comical lengths when she demands to have her own trial without having to share it with Holly and Navy.
  • Old Master: Zigzagged. While she physically and mentally acts like a young girl, she is one of the smartest and wisest gems on Homeworld and one of the first Morganites to emerge. She even refers to the gems that are under her command as her "pupils".
  • Pink Means Feminine: She is a very ladylike gem and is mostly pink in color.
  • Psi Blast: These are what her art-themed projectiles are.
  • Psycho Pink: She is definitely a malicious pink gem with a superiority complex. Plus, she has shown to be surprisingly powerful.
  • Power Floats: She can levitate in mid-air, and can use this to help her make a quick escape when she needs to.
  • Silk Hiding Steel: At first glance, she looks like a cheery little girl in a kimono. However, despite this, she has crazy powerful telekinesis and can create deadly bursts of energy.
  • Starving Artist: She became this at the start of Era 3 and feels like Steven and his friends have stolen the limelight from her and she now believes are accomplishments were for nothing. It becomes worse once she realizes that she has no longer been shown any respect by the gems she called her "pupils". Although, a few of them remain by her side, and a few more are still interested in her work.
  • The Stoic: She remains surprisingly calm in the direst of situations. However, she will crack under pressure if the situation becomes too out of hand.
  • Squishy Wizard: She can unleash devastating blows of psychic energy at her opponents, and it doesn't take much to knock her out and unable to fight.
  • Unseen No More: After being mentioned in the original series by Rhodonite, Morganite finally makes her debut in Rejuvenated.
  • Zen Slap: When she becomes annoyed with someone who questions her principles, she often ends up bopping them on the head with her staff.
    Lapis Lazuli (Mean Lapis)/Laz
Voiced by: Jennifer Paz
    Demantoid
Voiced by: Melissa Fahn
  • 11th-Hour Ranger: She and Pyrope are freed by Black Rutile to join her Legion of Doom near the end of Part 2.
  • The Cracker: She was able to reprogram the Prisms into obeying their commands with no resistance. That is until Hessonite and Squaridot manage to get through to them.
  • Hazy-Feel Turn: At first it seems that she has finally changed her ways, however, she seems to like experimenting and analyzing her findings, more so then she does about appreciating and enjoying them.
    Pyrope
Voiced by: Kari Wahlgren
  • 11th-Hour Ranger: She and Demantoid are freed by Black Rutile to join her Legion of Doom near the end Part 2.
  • Hazy-Feel Turn: At first it seems that she has finally changed her ways, however, she seems to like being popular and in control more so then she does about protection and kindness.
  • Meaningful Name: Her name is Greek for "fire eye". And it is now surprisingly accurate as she now has flaming Eye Beams.
  • Playing with Fire: After her defeat by the combined efforts of Hessonite and the Crystal Gems, she has somehow learned to manipulate fire, and can use it effectively by summoning flaming tornados.
    Navy Ruby
Voiced by: Charlyne Yi
  • Devious Daggers: When she is forced to fight, she is shown being able to summon some kunai which she can use as both melee and ranged weapons since they are a type of throwing knife.
  • Manipulative Bitch: It's for this reason that Black Rutile planted Navy as her mole in Yellow Zircon's campaign.
  • Mole in Charge: She is Yellow Zircon's campaign manager but is secretly in allegiance to Black Rutile.
  • Professional Butt-Kisser: Navy to Black Rutile, as shown in "The Warning."
    Cactus Steven(s)

  • Ascended Extra: Appears in more than just one episode here.
  • Elite Mooks: They become this thanks to their great durability, fast regeneration, and prickly hide. And considering there is only five of them, that's saying something.
  • Heel–Face Door-Slam: After being taught the importance of forgiveness and kindness by Steven. Cactus Steven seems to be walking down the road of redemption just like the Watermelon Stevens were. But, before they could put their new-found knowledge to use, they are swiftly shredded into pieces by a cloaked figure.
  • Unwilling Roboticisation: After being cut to pieces by Black Rutile, the remains of Cactus Steven are used to make five cyborg cactus soldiers.
  • Yank the Dog's Chain: The Stinger of "Prickly Pair" shows Cactus Steven on the verge of making a change after his battle with the Crystal Gems, only to be cut to pieces by Black Rutile and his remains later used to make new minions.
    Cat's Eye
Voiced by: Casey Lee Williams
  • 11th-Hour Ranger: Despite claiming she doesn't care about Black Rutile in her debut, Cat's Eye is shown to have sided with her in the final part of the series.
    • This seems to have originated from Cat's Eye siding with Cinnabar in the Grand Finale of "The Black Pearl Brigade".
  • Aristocrats Are Evil: Well, she is actually a mercenary, but she definitely fits all the requirements.
  • Alpha Bitch: As a mercenary, Cat's Eye wears very fancy clothing, is incredibly rude & condescending to almost everyone; even other high-ranking Gems like Holly Blue, use violence to force good behavior from others via her riding crop, and eventually lose her temper due to being shown up by Pearl.
  • Amoral Attorney: Is this, despite knowing nothing about the law.
  • Animal Eyes: As the name implies, she has eyes like a cat.
  • Animal Motifs: Cats, hence the name. Peridot even likens her to the Cats Are Mean trope when Cat's Eye is first introduced.
Peridot: Incredibly smug, loves making others mad solely for her amusement, and that grin on her face just rubs me the wrong way.
  • Asshole Victim: She is violently poofed near the end of the trial of three accused Lucent Gems. Although, considering how she was acting toward everyone around her, she kind of deserved it.
  • Bitch Alert: Cat's Eye makes her debut by strutting into the courtroom, which alone makes the Gems groan at how annoying she'll be.
  • Cats Are Mean: She has many cat-like attributes and is one of the more loathsome characters.
  • Cats Are Snarkers: This Cat Girl, definitely has her moments.
Cat's Eye: "Looks like someone's(Black Rutile) still being a bit of a Sore Loser."
  • Cat Girl: She has hair that resembles a pair of ears, and a thin drape on her rear that resembles a tail.
  • Catchphrase: "That does NOT, MAKE, SENSE!"
  • Establishing Character Moment: Cat's Eye introduces herself by strutting into the Diamonds' throne room, kicking her feet up on the prosecutor's table, filing her nails while ordering Holly Blue Agate to give her some space, and whipping Amethyst for laughing at her.
  • Expy: In writing Cat's Eye, Lightyearpig states that he was inspired by Cruella de Vil and Franziska von Karma.
  • Fur and Loathing: And just like the character she is based on, she too wears a literal fur coat. Unlike her, it is made of synthetic chroma instead of from the pelt of an animal.
  • Glass Eye: Her gem is located where her right eye would be and can move just like Nephrite's.
  • Good Smoking, Evil Smoking: Her weapon of choice is a riding crop, it will become a cigarette holder of sorts when she doesn't need it for combat. However, instead of releasing smoke, it actually releases a yellow mist which disorients the senses of those who breathe it in.
  • Hate Sink: Cat's Eye is deliberately written this way as a stuck-up mercenary who uses her looks to get her way, whips Gems she sees as beneath her, and tries attacking Pearl for winning their last argument before getting poofed.
  • Hated by All: None of the Gems she interacts with seem to like her. Many of them even completely despise her. Humorously, the only crystal gem that isn't annoyed by her is Heliodor.
    • This becomes subverted later on as she was able to convince half of Little Homeworld to join her side.
  • Hates Being Nicknamed: Inverted. She doesn't like the fact that many gems aren't being referred to by their proper titles and names.
  • High-Class Gloves: An intersting case where she actually wears fingerless opera gloves.
  • Ultimate Lifeform: While most Cat's Eyes are small in size, she was actually made perfectly and as such is taller and stronger than the average Cat's Eye. This trait is also what makes her so arrogant and spiteful. Although, she is only slightly taller than Pearl.
  • Villainous Breakdown: She goes ballistic when Pearl is able to outsmart her and debunk her claim. And the fact it was done by what she sees as a lowly servant, makes it all the more humiliating.
  • Whip of Dominance: A riding crop in this case, but she will often use it whip those who tick her off.
  • Yellow Eyes of Sneakiness: Her eyes are yellow in color and she is definitely not a friendly character.
     Marshallsussmanite
Voiced by: Wendy Powell
  • Afraid of Blood: Downplayed. While she is uncomfortable at the sight of blood, she is disgusted with it and isn't deeply afraid of it.
  • Ax-Crazy: She loves fighting a wee bit too much. So much so that will she is more than happy to jump into a fight just to feed her bloodlust.
  • The Beast Master: While not her preferred tactic, she can force other lifeforms to fight for her by using her compelling voice
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: With Black Rutile and Cinnabar in the revamp.
  • Blood Knight: Even more so than Jasper. She really enjoys fighting to the point that she saw the Gem War as being "one long party".
  • Brains and Brawn: She is the brawn of Pink Sapphire's brain.
  • The Brute: She is beyond that of a Quartz warrior; she's stronger, faster, and deadlier.
  • Canon Foreigner: She is completely exclusive to the revamp.
  • Co-Dragons: White Diamond was actually very pleased by how such an extremally rare silicate had been created, and decided to make her own of her personal elites.
  • Compelling Voice: Her Lovecraftian Superpower, and most frightening ability. She can control organic life through her vocals and hold them under a trance-like state. The higher the pitch in her tone the larger the organic she can control. This power extends not only to fauna but also to human beings, and other sapient lifeforms.
  • The Dragon: Became one to White Diamond.
  • Dragon with an Agenda: Despite being one of Black Rutile's most powerful lieutenants, Marshall knows for a fact that the Rutile would be a terrible leader for all of the gem kind, and is more than willing to usurp her when she gets the chance.
  • The Dreaded: She is by far one of the most feared gems and for good reason!
  • Drunk with Power: Defied. Unlike Black Rutile who was spoiled by her high status, Marshall never developed such complexity simply because she didn't care that much about it. But, she does think she would be the best leader for all of gem kind.
  • Eat Dirt, Cheap: She sometimes likes to eat rocks.
  • Elite Mook: Marshallsusmanites are among elite soldier gems, being even stronger than regular Quartz soldiers. Because of their rarity, they also hold some high-ranking status.
  • Evil Is Bigger: How big you may ask? Well, she is slightly taller than Pink Diamond.
  • Faux Affably Evil: She usually acts civil but in reality, she's battle crazed and war-hungry.
  • Giant Woman: She is the largest gem that is neither a fusion nor a diamond.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: The author of the revamp has stated that Marshall will be a very important character in the revamp.
  • Hellish Pupils: Her eyes are very slanted in shape and make her appear quite threatening.
  • Horrifying the Horror: She's frightened of organics because she sees their squishy flesh and blood as being disgusting.
  • Insane Admiral: She is a high-ranking soldier who doesn't fight for the honor or duty of her people. But rather because it is just fun to her and she sees it as a game.
  • In-Series Nickname: She is often called Marshall simply because of how long her name is.
  • Intangibility: She can alter her density to become intangible, leaving only her gemstone visible. Doing this for a long time will exhaust her and leave her gemstone vulnerable.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Even more so than Black Rutile. She is by far one of the most dangerous foes the Crystal Gems have encountered and has very few comedic moments. And unlike Black Rutile, she doesn't have any type of complex and thus will never underestimate her opponents.
  • No-Nonsense Nemesis: Instead of trying to interact with her foes, she instead just goes straight to the part of killing them.
  • No-Sell: When Blue Diamond's grief aura was used on her, it absolutely had no effect. Similarly, when Yellow Diamond tried to destabilize her with her lightning attack, she was shown to actually resist it long enough to break free.
  • Overly Long Name: Downplayed. Just like most gems, she has Only One Name, but it is definitely by far one of the longest.
  • Psycho Pink: She is pink in color and is by far one of the most ruthless and violent gems in the entire franchise.
  • Recurring Fanon Character: She is based on a gemsona that Gemcrust made for Rhodocrosite's court.
  • Rolling Attack: Just like a typical Quartz, she too can rapidly roll in a ball-like shape to attack enemies.
  • Royal Rapier: She is shown to be quite skilled with her weapon of choice, a rapier. The blade is so sharp that slice through rocks. And just like Black Rutile, she too is also able to adjust the size of the blade.
  • Sizeshifter: She is able to alter holo form just enough to make herself become smaller or larger.
  • Slasher Smile: When she smiles, it is completely terrifying.
  • Sadist: She prides herself in vanquishing her foes, but not before she makes them suffer.
  • The Sociopath: A different flavor, but she still qualifies. She is merciless, aloof, unsocialized, and extremely violent. She is more then willing to cross a few lines just to get what she wants.
  • Shout-Out: Her design is stated to be inspired by the characters from Moonbeam City.
  • Super-Toughness: Because of the way she emerged, the thickness and density of her mass allow her to sustain severe pressure for longer than an average Gem would, thus making her harder to poof.
  • Tele-Frag: She can use her intangibility to poof nearly any Gem instantly, by phasing her arm through unsuspecting ones and then materializing it.
  • Ultimate Lifeform: Marshall is somehow bigger and stronger than the average gem of her cut. The reason for that is that she is actually a perfect cluster. An extremely rare type of gem that is formed when two gems emerge but are completely in sync.
  • Villainous Friendship: With Pink Sapphire. She is the closest thing she has to a best friend.
  • Villainous Respect: She doesn't fear the Diamonds, rather, she respects them. She secretly wishes to fight one to see the true extent of a Diamond's power.
  • War Is Glorious: She is one of the few gems that wasn't traumatized by the war. If anything, it's where she embraced her passion for carnage.
  • Why Did It Have To Be: She has thalassophobia, the intense and persistent fear of the sea or of sea travel. That's arguably her only weakness, she doesn't like water or being wet, but the ocean seems to terrify her the most.

    Pink Sapphire
Voiced by: Erica Luttrell
    Cinnabar
Voiced by: Avi Roque
  • The Apprentice: Revealed to have been this to Black Rutile during the Rebellion in "Hard as Stone".
  • Berserk Button: Being called a disappointment to Black Rutile seems to be this for Cinnabar, as implied in "Black, White and Red All Over" and "Shining Diamond."
  • Big Bad: Of The Black/Monochrome Pearl Brigade.
  • Cool Sword: She is able to summon a broadsword and is quite skilled with it as well.
  • Dragon-in-Chief: She is the de facto leader of her faction of gems, but is also one of Black Rutile's elite officers.
  • Evil Red Head: She has short pentagonal-shaped red hair and is the main threat the Brigade has to face.
  • Expy: Cinnabar is stated to resemble Raine Whispers cosplaying as Heidigger. Cinnabar is even voiced by Avi Roque.
  • Large and in Charge: She is very tall in size, being nearly as big as Rose Quartz and Jasper.
  • General Ripper: She is a former general of the Homeworld armada and will do what ever it takes to crush anyone who opposes her.
  • Recurring Fanon Character: She seems to be inspired by another Cinnabar who appears as an antagonist in the Tourmaline series.
  • Red Is Violent: As mentioned below, she is a sadist who is a big fan of warfare. And to top that off, she is completely red in color.
  • Sadist: Revels in her Hellsing-style Rousing Speech about how War Is Glorious.
  • The Starscream: Cinnabar and Andesine attempt to overthrow Black Rutile and become the new leaders of the Rutile Rebels in Snake Eyes, but it doesn't end well.
  • "Well Done, Daughter!" Gal: Given how Black Rutile was the one who helped her become the gem she is today, she has a strong desire of earning her respect and approval.
    Kyanite (Alpha)
Voiced by: Awkwafina (original) Mitski (revamped)
  • Adaptational Job Change: In the original, her race of gem acted as fiercely loyal bodyguards. In the revamp, however, she now is a consultant police officer of sorts.
  • Affably Evil: Zigzagged. While it genuinely one of the more polite antagonists, her friendly demeanor is genuine to her friends but is a complete facade for her enemies. Even when engaging them in a friendly conversation, she knows better than to try to reason with them.
  • An Ice Person: Just like her Kyanite sister, she too is able to freeze her opponents. She often tips her quindent with ice and then uses it to freeze and stab her foes.
  • Bodyguard Babes: In the original, she serves the role of being Cinnabar's bodyguard, and is said to be very attractive too.
  • Cannot Tell a Lie: Due to being a Kyanite, she is quite literally unable to lie. This often causes her to blurt out things that will often trigger those who can't handle the truth.
  • The Dragon: To Cinnabar.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Hates being called Tiny.
  • First Day from Hell: Kyanite was made near the very end of the Gem War. And what is her first mission? Why rescue her superior Cinnabar who had just been poofed on the Galaxy Warp and had to rush through a crowd of panicked gems to get to her. And she barely manages to escape just when the Diamonds unleashed their fury.
  • Hates Being Touched: She goes berserk when Mr. Manco spanks her in the rear.
  • Honest Advisor: She serves this role for Cinnabar in the revamp.
  • In-Series Nickname: She is called Alpha by her Kyanite sisters since she was the first one to emerge from her vein, and is the closest thing to a perfect Kyanite.
  • Large and in Charge: She is Cinnabar's first lieutenant and is the same height as Garnet.
  • Lean and Mean: She is a very tall, and thin gem and can be quite the jerk when she needs to be.
  • Living Lie Detector: Her main purpose. She was created to identify potential rebels or spies and hunt them down.
  • Prongs of Poseidon: Her summoned weapon is a Quindent. One that can deliver chilling icy blows.
  • Rabid Cop: While she is normally very chipper and an easy pleaser. But when she is interrogating someone, that personality is completely gone and replaced with one that is both erratic and violent. Often screaming at them, and threatening them with assault.
  • Recurring Fanon Character: She seems to be partially based on one of PinkSpagethi's gemsonas. More specially, Kyanite 7XT.
  • Tall, Dark, and Snarky: She is a very tall gem, has dark blue hair, and is quite sassy.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Indirectly. While searching for Cinnabar in a flashback during the war, Kyanite hears a Vauxite accidentally stepping on something she believes to be her master's Gem and pushes her out of the way to check on it, only to discover that it's the mirror Lapis Lazuli was trapped in. It is later revealed this same Vauxite was actually going to try and free Lapis after stepping on her but Alpha stopped her before it could even happen.
  • Yes-Man: In the original, she agrees with everything Cinnabar does because she is that loyal to her and is greatly infatuated with her. Or she is at least too cowardly to oppose her.
    Pyrite
Voiced by: Allison Janney (original) Amber Lee Connors (revamped)
  • Accordion to Most Sailors: Well, to most astronauts in this case. But, she does store an accordion in her gem and often uses it to sing "space shanties" to pace the time.
  • Arms Dealer: She made her living by selling weapons to other gems. At least she did until Era 3 came around. And while she is trying to make up for her losses, she will never forgive the Crystal Gems for what they have done to her.
  • Classy Cane: In the original adaptation, her weapon is a stylish cane that can turn into a staff. It can even regenerate after being chopped off.
  • Clothing-Concealed Injury: She hides her cracked pupil behind an eyepatch, and wears a choker over the small crack on her throat.
  • Con Woman: Pyrite is described to be an ace con-Gem, best shown when seducing shopkeeper Grouper into giving her a makua motor and taking advantage of Braids' Horrible Judge of Character to give it to her. As a bonus, the chapter where she serves as its Villain of the Week is titled "A Fool and their Money".
  • Eyepatch of Power: She wears a square-shaped eyepatch over her left eye.
  • Eye Scream: Once she realizes how she is powerless from saving her profits, she ends up dissipating her form and cracking her pupil in the process.
  • Finger-Snap Lighter: She does to ignite the flames in her fireplace.
  • Pirate Girl: She resembles a young woman dressed as a pirate.
  • Playing with Fire: As the name suggests, she has the ability to create sparks that can ignite into flames.
  • Punny Name: Pyrite sounds very similar to pirate, doesn't it?
  • Riches to Rags: As shown in her flashback, Pyrite made a living as an Arms Dealer who sold weapons to both Homeworld and the Crystal Gems during the Rebellion, and later sold weapons to colonize planets. But when Era 3 banned all non-summoned weapons, Pyrite's products were returned and she was left destitute before joining Black Rutile.
  • Space Pirate: She was this originally before she became an arms dealer. However, she still likes to steal things just for fun.
  • Sword and Gun: Or rather a sword that can turn into a gun. More specifically a cutlass that can turn into a flintlock that uses embers as ammunition.
  • Walking Armory: She is able to summon weapons and objects out of nowhere. It is implied that just like Black Rutile, she stores a large variety of gadgets in her gemstone.
    Dalmatian Jasper
Voiced by: Kimberly Brooks
    Zoisite/Anyolite
Voiced by: Zehra Fazal
  • Adaptation Name Change: While she was originally called Zoisite in the original, she is now referred to as Anyolite in the revamp, which is really the green and red variety of Zoisite.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Dalmatian Jasper calls her Zee in the original version, and An in the revamped version.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Zoisite headed her own black-ops team prior to meeting Dalmatian Jasper before they were all shattered in an attempt on the life of a king who refused to surrender his planet to the Diamonds. The narration states how devoted she was to make them into good assassins before Zoisite murders the king out of spite.
  • Evil Redhead: Well, pinkish red in this case, but this trope still applies with her.
  • Expy: Of Molotov Cocktease, and by extension Undyne.
  • Eyepatch of Power: Just like Eyeball, her gemstone is located where her left eye would be.
  • Green-Skinned Space Babe: She has bright green skin and is said to be quite attractive.
  • Naginatas Are Feminine: She is able to summon a naginata and use it with great efficiency. It is also a fitting weapon for such a lady-like gem.
  • Playing with Fire: Anyolite has been shown to be able to create pinkish red flames and is even able to fire flaming projectiles from her naginata.
  • Redhead In Green: She wears green armor and has pinkish-red hair.
  • Significant Green Eyed Red Head: While also having a single green eye and serves as a major supporting antagonist throughout the series.
  • Sword Beam: Much like Pearl, Anyolite can also fire blasts of energy from her blade on a stick of a weapon. However, unlike Pearl's which are slow moving with a big impact, Anyolite's are much faster and far more precise. This is best shown when she snipes Bartok when tries to backstab Batsputin.
  • Villainous Friendship: She and Dalmatian Jasper are remarkably friendly to each other to the point of being Heterosexual Life-Partners.
    Bloodstone
Voiced by: Lena Hall (original) Alanna Ubach (revamped)
  • Adapted Out: Played with. The author of the revamp said he would be removing her because he did not want to add a memetic mutant in his story. However, he did say he would split her up into two different characters in the revamp.
  • Evil Redhead: Yet another red-haired gem on the side of evil.
  • Expy: Of Ronaldo Fryman in the original.
  • Mad Scientist: Despite being a delusional Quartz, she is a brilliant genius. She shows this by creating not only certain gadgets but also an entirely new type of gem.
  • Redhead In Green: Just like Anyolite, she too has red hair with mostly green clothing.
    Concretes
Voiced by: Dee Bradley Baker
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Gems are beings who have bodies made of light. Here, it is heavily implied that the Concrete's bodies are made of gravel or cement.
  • Refitted for Sequel: Concrete's original concept was a Gem that many saw as a negative stereotype of black people. The Concretes shown here have none of those traits, as proclaimed by Word of God.
  • Rock Monster: This is pretty much what they are in a nutshell.
  • Super-Soldier: Designed by Bloodstone to be unstoppable warriors.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: Despite being near unstoppable, the cracks on their bodies can render the Concretes unable to use their abilities in battle when touched. It is implied that this is because these cracks when damaged cause the golems extreme pain.
    Xenotime
Voiced by: Jodie Whittaker (original) Ellen McLain (revamped)
  • Abnormal Limb Rotation Range: While all gems don't have bones, Xenotime makes this fact very clear. She can twist and bend her body and joints in ways that are completely unnatural and are downright disturbing.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: So much so that she seems like a completely different person.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Her weapons of choice are a pair of clock hand-shaped retractable wrist blades, and she is frighteningly efficient with them.
  • Ceiling Cling: Has shown that she can do this to ambush her targets or to avoid being cornered.
  • Chameleon Camouflage: She can cloak herself and blend into her surroundings. She once used this ability to observe other gems stealthily from afar.
  • Clocks of Control: She has many clock motifs in her design and she was made as an enforcer of the Diamond's will.
  • Decomposite Character: It has been stated by the author of the revamp that her role in the story of being a treacherous elite would be given to another gem.
  • Domino Mask: Her visor is shaped like one.
  • The Greys: She resembles one, however, her skin is orange in color.
  • Heads-Up Display: She has one thanks to her visor, which allows her to better survey her surroundings.
  • Idiot Hair: She has a little on in the center of her scalp that invokes the ringer of an alarm clock.
  • Implacable Woman: Thanks to her time-manipulating powers, Xenotime is nearly untouchable. Able to fix mistakes and screw with her opponents. The only way to actually even beat her is to somehow knock her out with a sucker punch, or crack her gem so that her powers become weakened.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: Despite her powers, she almost always knows when she is about to lose. And instead of fighting to the end, she will always try to escape. Not because she is a Dirty Coward, but rather because she isn't a Fearless Fool.
  • Latex Spacesuit: She wears one like most gems, but unlike them, it is stylized to resemble that of Clock Punk.
  • Odango Hair: They are dome-shaped and give off the vibe that she has bells on her head.
  • Physical God: Downplayed. It's frequently stated that her control over time could make her on par with the Diamonds. Although, it is implied that the use of time travel can cause her to become quite exhausted. Additionally, she states that she is much, much weaker than a diamond.
    • This trope is completely averted in the revamp.
  • Punny Name: She is an alien that can control time. And her name does not hide that fact in the slightest.
  • The Quiet One: She doesn't speak often, and is most of the time very silent.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Her eyes are actually mahogany in color, but they do glow a bright red when she is angry.
  • Robot Hair: Her hair is stylized into two dome-shaped space buns which essentially resemble the bells on a classic alarm clock.
  • Rubber Woman: Downplayed as while not as elastic as a Spinel nor is she able to increase the size of certain parts of her body. Xenotime can stretch her limbs without the means of shapeshifting. She often uses them to help her move quickly from place to place. She can even squeeze herself into tight spaces to avoid being seen when she is unable to camouflage herself.
  • Running on All Fours: Can become extremely fast when she is using all of her limbs at once, and the fact she can stretch them to even length definitely helps. Disturbingly enough, her movements seem to resemble that of a spider when she is doing this.
  • Sickly Green Glow: Her chronokinetic powers in the original are stated to glow green, but in the revamp, they are orange instead.
  • Sinister Shades: She wears an hourglass-shaped visor over her eyes. Interestingly, the transparency changes depending on whether she needs to emote with her eyes.
  • Stealth Hi/Bye: She often appears and disappears without a trace. Justified, since she can stop time long enough for her to escape.
  • Terminator Impersonator: She is an artificial being with robotic features that has an orange almost human-like skin tone, but like any gem, her body is made of Hard Light. She has mahogany eyes that glow slightly under her Sinister Shades which give her a Heads-Up Display viewpoint. She wears a cool Clock Punk Latex Spacesuit that makes her look like a machine. And she is a Stoic Implacable Woman who will relentlessly hunt down those who are against her.
  • Time Master: Her main ability since she is a timekeeper.
  • The Starscream: In the original version, she originally grew a superiority complex that made her seek to overthrow the Diamonds, which led to her nearly being executed. After being broken out and recruited into the Rutile Rebels, Xenotime then changed the object of her desires to becoming the new leader of the Rutile Rebels and conquering the universe.
  • The Stoic: She shows little to no emotion whatsoever, making her quite unnerving to her fellow gems. Although, when she was humiliated and beaten by her enemies, she showed a more feral and erratic side to her, which ironically made her far more dangerous than she was before.
  • Visual Pun: She looks like a stereotypical alien and has chronokinesis.
  • Wall Crawl: She has shown that she is able to scale vertical surfaces.
  • Wing Ding Eyes: Sometimes her pupils turn into question marks if she is confused or exclamation marks if she is surprised. However, it seems that her eyes can only do this while she is wearing her visor.
    Doc Ruby
Voiced by: Charlyne Yi
  • Demoted to Dragon: Eyeball has finally had enough of Doc and states that she lacks the experience and ferocity that was required for a leader. And thus, she overthrows her and declares herself the new leader of the Ruby Squad.
  • Trapped in Villainy: After Eyeball seizes control of the Ruby Squad, Doc and the others have no choice but to follow her and join the Rutile Rebels.

    Andesine
Voiced by: Gina Torres
  • Adapted Out: It has been confirmed by the author of the revamp that she won't make an appearance in the story, and her role will be given to a different gem.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Prior to making her present day debut in "Seeing Black", Andesine makes her appearance during a flashback in "De-Clustering" where she shattered Tanzanite.
  • Great Escape: She arranges one with help from Cinnabar to break the remaining Rutile Rebels out of Revanche 666.
  • The Kirk: She's described by Word of God as similar to its Trope Namer.
  • The Starscream: Cinnabar and Andesine attempt to overthrow Black Rutile and become the new leaders of the Rutile Rebels in Snake Eyes, but it doesn't end well.
    Amber
  • Adapted Out: It has been confirmed by the author of the revamp that she won't make an appearance in the story, and her role will be given to a different gem.
  • The McCoy: Much like Andesine and Howlite, Amber is described as this.
  • Those Two Guys: Supplies a good amount of comic relief with her arguments with Howlite.

  • Those Two Guys: Supplies a good amount of comic relief with her arguments with Amber.
