    Watermelon Stevens
Voiced by: Zach Callison
  • Big Damn Heroes: They try to pull this during "I Am My Monster", but it doesn't fare out well.
    Light Prism Trio
Voiced by: Dee Bradley Baker
    Negative Steven (Unmarked Spoilers
Voiced by: Ron Perlman
  • Canon Character All Along: While not stated, it is heavily implied that he is the evolved form of Pink Steven.
  • The Comically Serious: Even Steven's darker side finds Spinel taking control of White Diamond to be very unnerving.
  • Dark Is Evil: He is very dark in appearance since he is most of the time cloaked in darkness.
  • Enemy Within: Steven's inner voice becomes more prominent in Part 4, taking control of Steven at the worst moment and generally feeding him negative thoughts about those who care for him.
  • Giant Space Flea from Nowhere: An in-universe example. He is a threat that no one saw coming. In fact, no one knows exactly who or what he is.
  • Graceful Loser: Surprisingly, he admits that no one is truly Beyond Redemption before fading away.
  • Hearing Voices: At the climax of "Mister Universe", Steven starts imagining Negative Steven calling him out for nearly killing Greg by crashing the van, and asks if this is because he wants to live a normal, Germ-free life.
    • This voice would make frequent appearances from that chapter onward, most notably in "Homeworld Bound" where he forces Steven to try shattering White Diamond and later makes him hit Spinel. The voice would become the main antagonist of "Be-All, Cure-All" and receives the name, Negative Steven.
  • The Heartless: He is an entity made from Steven's negative emotions.
  • Humanoid Abomination: He resembles Steven in his Quartz form, but he is obviously not a human and by no means a gem.
  • Nothing Is Scarier: We never learn how long he has been a part of Steven.
  • Tainted Veins: He has black veins that emerge from his glowing skin when enraged.
  • Walking Spoiler: The very fact he even exists can be seen as a spoiler since he is the driving force behind Steven's descent into madness.
    Flipso/Jestrix
Voiced by: John Mulaney
    The Lapidarist (Unmarked Spoilers
Voiced by: Samantha Newark (Original), The Crewniverse (Revamp)
  • Adaptational Villainy: It has been confirmed by the author of the revamp that the Lapidarist will not be the Big Good, but rather the newest Big Bad.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: Despite being the creator of all Gemkind, and by extension the Diamonds, thus making them the Greater-Scope Villain for all intents and purposes, the Lapidarist doesn't mean any harm as they just wanted to create a perfect universe, and are not pleased by the actions of Gemkind.
  • Last of Their Kind: There were numerous Lapidarists like them once upon a time who helped many civlizations prosper, but they were all hunted to extinction by their many enemies, and failed super weapon; Squamata, leaving only a few of them which became the universal overseer that they are today.
  • Mind Hive: The Lapidarist isn't actually a single being, but rather a small collection of the renmants of a fallen civiliation housed within a matrix unit.
  • Non-Human Non-Binary: The Lapidarist tells Steven that their species has no need for gendered pronouns.
  • Royal "We": They often refer to themselves in the plural instead of the singular. This is justified as they are actually an amalgamation.
  • The Watcher: After Diamond was shattered and exiled from Serpentes, the Lapidarist vowed to never interfere out of shame for what they allowed to happen. At least until the Crystal Gems dismantled the Gempire.
  • Walking Spoiler: The biggest one of them all. It is completely impossible to talk about them without mentioning not only the origins of Gemkind, but the origins of several other races as well.
    SQUAMATA (Unmarked Spoilers
Voiced by: Ray Porter
  • Adaptational Dumbass: Downplayed, but the author of the revamp has stated that they would likely change SQUAMATA from a Card-Carrying Villain into a Feral Villain.
  • A.I.-cronym: SQUAMATA is eventually revealed to be a synthetic being whose name is actually short for Stained Quantum Universal Assimilation Matrix And Terraforming Apparatus.
  • The Dreaded: Absolutely everyone is afraid of them once they have awakened from their slumber. Even Flipso is frightened by them.
  • Expy: Word of God confirmed on their Tumblr that SQUAMATA is effectively what Darkseid and Unicron are to Steven's Superman & Optimus Prime and Black Rutile's Lex Luthor & Megatron.
  • The Great Serpent: The Jörmungandrs were pretty big Snake People, but SQUAMATA completely dwarves them in scale being about as long as five football fields.
  • Human Sacrifice: Subverted. The Serpent Society thought they need to sacrifice someone to awaken them but it turns out this is unnessacry. They were trapped in a bubble and all they had to do to free them was pop it.
  • Mythical Motifs: They are an eldritch being who takes the form of a giant snake and personifies darkness and disorder. They lie beneath the surface of a vast desert being imprisoned by a light deity whom they clashed with in the ancient past. And their only goal now is to end all life and return the universe back into the dark abyss. Sounds a lot like Apep, doesn't he?
  • Omnicidal Maniac: They want to destroy the entire universe, and return it back to the empty nothingness.
  • Planet Eater: According to the Lapidarist, SQUAMATA sustains themselves by devouring worlds.
  • Precursor Killers: The Lapidarist claims that SQUAMATA is the one who wiped out not only their species but also countless other species as well.
  • Walking Spoiler: It is very hard to talk about them without mentioning that they aren't exactly the Ultimate Evil they were stated to be.
