This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Should it be unlocked, then?
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!Per Wick Cleaning Projects, The Crow split into The Crow (1994) or The Crow (2024). There are two locked pages with wicks that need to change
1) In Monster.The Crow
to
2) HarsherInHindsight.Real Life (second bullet point):
- During the filming of The Crow, the crews of other films shooting nearby had a joke that the production was cursed due to the high number of accidents, punishing production schedule (permitted because it was filmed in Wilmington, in "right-to-work" North Carolina), cocaine use among the crew, and too-low budget. This became Harsher in Hindsight twice; firstly when a fire destroyed part of the other films' sets (and most of The Crow's), and secondly, with the tragic, accidental, and easily-preventable fatal shooting of Brandon Lee.

In Monster. The Arkn Mythos, please change the following: Hunt The Most Dangerous Game to [[HuntingTheMostDangerousGame hunt the most dangerous game]]
Trimming the hedges, one trope at a time. Why? Redirects exist to be used, to make wicks flow more easily in sentences. They're only a problem when they mess with example alphabetization. I don't mean to pry, but like 90% of your edits are removing perfectly fine redirects.
Technically there's a rule that says we don't use them, though it's not entirely clear if that means we can never use them or...
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessHuh? That's extremely silly, then. Why do we even have blue redirects? Shouldn't they be green if we're not supposed to use them?
Good question, but I'm not the one who can answer. Redirect policy is kinda confusing.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAye, we don't link redirects in lieu of the actual trope except in particular circumstances, and this one isn't. Changed.
Did the other requests too, but I don't think there's a point in unlocking Main.Gamer Gate
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI guess I just don't see the point in keeping it locked; it's not like a TLP draft for "Gamer Gate" would ever be allowed to launch.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessDon't see a point of having a locked non-existing page only moderators or engineers can create anway.
I fail to find Main.Gamer Gate at either Permanent Red Link Club or Locked Pages, how so?
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSo if it should be locked, should it be on the PRLC? If the former but not the latter, why exclude it?
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!Minor edit request for Administrivia. There Is No Such Thing As Notability. I think the opening line should link to Website.Wikipedia. Like this:
This is not Wikipedia.
I like to eat poopPage splits were needed, so please lock the following:
Please have Comic Books: A to H & Comic Books: I to Z redirect to Comic Books.
Related, please swap the following: CM Dates; CM Pending; CM Drafts
Not sure if someone else requested this before (and, if so, why it got rejected), but please add Hollywood Tactics to Locked Pages. It says the page is under administrative lock (and thus not the result of a standard editor lockout), but it's not listed in LP at all.

This is Idol Tap. (My Troper Wall)Huh, I thought it wasn't because I didn't see it indexed. I guess Locked Pages isn't an index anymore.

I would like to suggest Anti-Education Papa as a redirect for Anti-Education Mama. Thank you!
So, for the past five or so months, the page for All For One from My Hero Academia has been locked, and as a result is unable to be edited. This is a bit annoying for those who would need to edit the page due to all the stuff that has been happening in the series, especially in the most recent chapters regarding him. Is there any idea when the page will be unlocked again so new information can be added, or is that a mystery at the moment?
^^^Doing...
^^Please link to the pages you want edited.
^The locking reason is "Apparently people aren't familiar with the rules about example length", has that changed?

Added the Magnificent Bastard entry, but work links ought to be capitalized.
