Weird dreams

I had weird dream tonight. Someone was critizicing "pig movies" and all the sexist cliches that are found in this genre. And then it suddenly cut to lots and lots of pigs escaping from some kind of barn thanks to one pig, with an old, senile pig being the last one to leave.

I had a strange dream when I dozed off in the rocking chair in my grandparents’ spare room yesterday evening.

First, there was a series of commercials for some kind of breath freshener. The commercials were highlighting that because of the product, it would be more convenient for people to whisper to each other for extended periods of time. One of those commercials featured a mother and daughter I know in real life.

Eventually, I was in my living room (in my fourplex) and starting to watch C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America, with the knowledge that my mom would soon be leaving for work (I think). I then found myself taking part in events that were near my city’s ring road, but were supposed to be part of the movie! First, there was dialogue between some adults, but all I really remember is the word “mosquito”. I was then required by the events of the “movie” to travel on the ring road. But since I didn’t have a vehicle, I was travelling very slowly by rocking chair! I think I was using the rocking chair that I have in my bedroom at my dad’s house. As I did this, a voiceover was saying something, but it got cut short as my Papa (grandpa) woke me up.

I once dreamt that a talking bird was complaining that only 0.5% of Disney characters were birds, and was complaining about tropes like Bird-Poop Gag, as she felt they gave birds a bad name.

First dream:
Dreamed of some evil mastermind capturing various female characters from Pokémon for the sole purpose of brainwashing them into being villainous team admins, and Ash, Goh, Brock, Cilan, Clemont, Gladion and the Alola team (minus Lillie who was among the captured) was forced to work with Team Rocket to put a stop to the evil mastermind. All the Champions were also having to deal with rampaging Legendary Pokémon.

Second dream:
There was a cat talking to me, telling me to wake up and give her some milk. Mundane compared to the first dream, maybe. ^^;;;

At some point last night I dreamed that Joe Biden was visiting my school, and then after that I somehow got lost while riding with my family somewhere (as in I was in the vehicle with them one minute and the next I was standing next to a street some miles away) and ended up having to spend the night in a small candy shop.

After having this dream, I feel like I really should do something about my crumbling morale.

For the first time in months, I finally had a new dream where my family and I were on vacation outside Venezuela. We were in an idyllic coast somewhere in the United States, though I can't tell where exactly. I only know it was the US because there were US flags here and there (but not a single state flag, huh). When we first arrived, it was noon and the sky was bright white. We approached a cape and it was almost empty, but I was told that the local people would prepare the staging for a big epic party during the night. I was also told by my brother to find a partner to dance.

And I was also told that people would celebrate Mardi Gras. So... we were in Louisiana. (I didn't have that realization in the dream, and only learned about it when I looked it up in Wikipedia).

I began walking across the perimeter, with the sea being at my right, and went upstairs to reach what looked like Ricco Harbor from Super Mario Sunshine, only the bricks were colored magenta instead of white like in that game. Before I knew, I saw Megan Nicole, Becky G, Laura Marano, Zack Effron, Peter Hollens and other popular people around... and they were already in Mardi Gras mode. I'm sure you know what that meant. Megan and Becky went into a race to see who won, starting by doing a tall diving. I felt tempted to invite any of them, but I didn't have the courage (also, AFAIK, Megan Nicole is married IRL). I tried finding some girl to greet her, talk to her and then invite her to the dance, but none of them seemed interested in me (either because they already had boyfriends, because they didn't know how to dance, or because I wasn't their type). I told myself "why am I even trying this? This is 2022, not 1998; I'm past my chances already".

So I returned to the cape where my family was, heartbroken. They had staged a large BBQ spot, with lots of tasty steaks, fried rice and fried chicken being prepared. But as hungry as I was, I didn't feel like eating after my prior failure.

I woke up. I watched the time in my Galaxy. It was 10:15 am. And I told myself: "Yes, [real name of MFE], it was only a dream, and you're 34 and soon to turn 35 next month. Move on"

You checked the time in your Galaxy? Does that mean you live in a different Galaxy from the rest of us?

We've had faulty wiring for literal years now, and once I dreamt that a talking cat was telling us to get an electrician.

Quentin Tarantino directed Bee Movie. Yeah.

My dream could be seen as a triple dose of What An Idiot.

Had an alt account (that's the first WAI instance) that got suspended (for ZCE's), fessed up with fellow mods, and had my modship revoked.

For a second I thought this was the "Things you didn't know until recently" thread.

I'd watch it.

There was some weird dystopian set up where some people were considered "the dirty" and sort of just second-class citizens (I think I got the idea by re-reading my page for Flawed) but the designation didn't even make any sense because it basically assumed that "the dirty" just constantly had grime on them 24/7 so there were moments where it's like me and my traveling band of friends had to like insist to people that, hey, all we did was fucking slip outside in the giant wet field we had to cross through, we're gonna have dirt on us" and the people were like "OOOH yeah that makes sense okay phewww sounds good" and it was just a very weird set up for me and the other protagonists to have some sort of Fugitive Arc of traveling across the land and bouncing from place to place and causing mischief and then escaping, and some wild shit happened, like several YouTubers were on the run and made videos about it, and there were these little areas where people could come in and grab supplies and head out, and we walked across biomes like it was a Pokemon region...

Technically, this dream was actually a couple of days ago, but I wanted to talk about it anyway.

Mostly, it was the aimlessness my dreams usually have, but there were two standout bits:

1: There was a list of video games that used Aphex Twin music, and among them, the only one that I had played was Portal 2. Of course, my real mind had enough control to not remember that ever happening in the game, and I got ready to ask on some forum what part of the game has Aphex Twin music. There are AT tracks I could see fitting the game, but ultimately, it is not part of the game in any way.

2: There was an "special" music video for "Declare Independence" by Björk. Mostly, it consisted of camera views from frighteningly high up in the air, with a somewhat surreal city underneath, as it had floating roads above the road below, with a bootleg Godzilla having his head sticking out of the floating road. The camera was far above even him, and there were still buildings even taller than that, with them reaching the camera. Even weirder, the video somewhat manifested in reality, with my brother and a friend of mine who I have never met outside the internet looking down at the view, yet somehow being protected from falling off. Now, your guess as to how this video fits the song itself is as good as mine, but with my fear of heights, it was tough watching it in the dream...

• I dreamt there was this live-action series based off Ghostbusters (1984), but it was terrible, 'cause everyone except Winston and Janine was an Adaptational Jerkass. Peter and Ray had become misogynists, and there was this new character (who was also Egon's girlfriend) who would throw things at them whenever they said something sexist, and speaking of Egon, he was a graffiti vandal.
• I dreamt I was watching this Star Trek: The Original Series episode, where they were trying to stop a potentially-universe-ending Negative Space Wedgie, and Spock was scarfing down a box of cookies.
  McCoy: "It's the week before Doomsday, and you're eating cookies?!"
• There was another Star Trek dream, but it was super complicated and weird. I dreamt that the movie of Star Trek: Enterprise came out and brought Trip Tucker back from the dead, but as a zombie. Then, I was in a building trying to take notes, but the receptionist was Reg Barclay, and he was flirting with me! And then, I was in this old house, and Will Riker was there but he was wearing a black turtleneck and night vision goggles, and a flying, translucent woman was there too!

Last night's dream was... interesting.

I began the dream playing The Sims 4. I created a blond campy man, to move into a house I built. He had a Mexican restaurant underneath his house, where he ran his business. As I opened his restaurant, his business was a success. However, fires appeared everywhere, and his restaurant went bankrupt.

During the next segment, I was hiding away from a killer with a knife in a radio tower, while I recited facts about the homoeroticism between David and Jonathan. Eventually, the killer found me, and threw their knife at me. But because the tower was open air, the knife flew down towards a young boy, and stabbed him. The segment ended with the ambulance dragging the boy into the vehicle, while the children watched. The killer was never brought up again.

The last segement of the dream involved me rereading a script from a Drama class task I had a few months ago. Apparently, a movie was being made, and the film would've been directed by me.

Also, during the dream, I was smoking a cigarette, hated it, and vowed to never smoke again.

Last night I dreamed that my brother was playing Star Fox Adventures for the first time, and apparently it was a remaster for the Switch that was bundled alongside Star Fox: Assault (I can't tell if those were the only games in the compilation). I was guiding him through the game, and my father was there as well to see us play. The part he was currently in was Cape Claw, and he was on the way to unlock the path to the Ocean Force Point Temple after clearing CloudRunner Fortress. When I woke up, I was like "noooooo, why was this only a dream?! "

I SEE CAT—

I dreamed of being at school and being the only one in uniform.
And there was some science lesson that, somehow, ended up with a very angry mob being formed trying to kill me because I dye my hair. ;-;

I dreamed an episode of The Owl House where Luz finds a wrecked plane. Inside the plane there's a fridge filled with ice cream bars with a smiling black man depicted on their wrappers. The reminder of the episode is Luz and the others trying to find who's that guy on the ice cream wrappers.

I had a dream where I was giving a hat to a draft on the Launchpad that had apparently been there for over two years despite everyone agreeing that the draft was ready.

We were all there in person, and for some reason I was in what looked like the convenience store in The Amazing World of Gumball episode "The Spoon." As I kept scrolling and trying to find out how old the draft was, I kept backing up into the wall.

Last night I had a very cool dream. In fact, it ended up being a lucid dream! ñ_ñ

See, it was 5:00 am and it was raining intensely. At first, it looked like I was inside an episode of Tom and Jerry, because I saw a cartoon couple forcefully putting Tom outside a house that looked very familiar; I heard them saying "come on, Tom! I know it's raining, but your bed is in the garage; now go sleep! It's 5 am, my wife and I need to sleep too, fuck!" (by the way, that couple is from the Hanna-Barbera episodes, since the Quimby ones used Mammy Two-Shoes, the Deitch/Snyder ones had all sorts of forgettable owners and the Jones ones didn't show any owners). Afterwards, with the entrance door locked, Tom saw Jerry and started chasing him... and both entered what seemed to be a wormhole, apparently taking them elsewhere. They never returned for the remainder of the dream, but for the next new minutes I thought about them and tried to recognize the episode... and before I realized, I found myself in front of the house, even past the surrounding walls that protected it; the rain also began to wane and I could see the first few sunlights from the far east.

I began strolling around the house's alleys, starting from the east one... and I saw two teenagers (a boy and a girl) there. And they weren't cartoons, but real-life people. I asked them what they were doing there, but they didn't answer, and began to step back. So I chased them around the whole house, and as I did so I began to realize why the house looked so familiar... and it was my house! It did look different, though, because it lacked the second floor and even the fences surrounding the ceiling the first floor above (because there was no roof there either). But most importantly, the rear half of the house was absent as well, as apparently it wasn't built yet. This made me realize something (and yes, I had the realization while still chasing those mischievous teens): I had traveled in time, and probably Tom and Jerry had done the same after they entered that wormhole (probably to the past), but I still wondered why Tom's owners were still in my house (at that moment, I only thought they were still inside at all).

When morning took over the sky completely, my mom opened the front door. She looked much younger, and greeted the two teenagers. It turns out they were two of her pupils in school, and they had waited for her to wake up. She asked me who I was and why I was chasing the teenagers, which surprised me. I told her my name, and that I was one of her sons. She told me she only had one son (it turns out she referred to my older brother). Luckily, the teenagers didn't look too upset at me, and convinced my mom to invite me to a coffee. It was a very heartwarming moment, and I realized why the house lacked the aforementioned areas: It looked very similar to how it was over 40 years ago (for reference, I was born in October 1987, while my brother was born in April 1980; my sister, who currently lives outside Venezuela, wasn't born until February 1990). Even when I was invited to enter the house, there was no sign of Tom's owners, so I assumed they left that era as well. The only other people inside the house were my father and my older brother, who were still sleeping.

That was the moment when I realized I was dreaming, so after I drank the coffee I asked everybody awake for their attention and I positioned myself a few meters past the back door of the house, as I wanted to give them a message: This is what I told them: "Thanks a lot for your hospitality, I really mean it. Mistress, I know I have no way to prove it, but that won't matter because we won't meet again until you have a second son and he reaches age 35. I come from the future, and there are many thing I would like to share with you, but I will only say three things. One, this house will get bigger in the future, it will have a second floor and more rooms here below. Second,... ummm... one day you'll visit Disneyland in the United States. And third, your second son will graduate in the Univerity of Zulia as a physicist, but will die single and not very old. God bless you and your illustrious pupils. Educate them and one day they'll save this country... see you all again one day, and tell your existing son to behave well."

I waved them goodbye and woke up afterwards. I left me thinking a lot. I tried not to cry...

Last night, I had a dream that my family and I were watching this awful CG animated movie. I can't remember everything that was bad about it, but I'll write as much as I can:

The movie was about a group of explorers. It started off with the explorers performing at a comedy club. Their entire shtick was doing celebrity impressions. This scene went on for a little too long, although there was one part that actually made me laugh: They had a pet cat that could only speak English by doing an impression of Vito Corleone.

Next, the explorers met another explorer who was much more famous than them. He was so obviously going to be the villain, but the movie tried to act like it was a surprise. He was a muscular guy with gray hair, kind of like Rourke from Atlantis: The Lost Empire. His behavior was so obviously shady, even though he was trying to act charming.

Sometime later, the movie said that the famous explorer had gone off on another adventure. Then it showed a giant, tunnelling vehicle underground. Inside the vehicle was a man wearing Darth Vader-esque armor. He was watching the heroes, and he said something threatening in a deep, robotic voice.

I can't remember what exactly the heroes were exploring, but I think it was a lost civilization.

At one point, the heroes did a video chat with the famous explorer. He said he was in Australia, but he had a pangolin with him.

The movie kept adding more and more characters to the story, even late into the movie. One of the heroes, who I think was the tech guy or something, fell in love with a girl who was apparently living alone in this lost civilization.

In the climax, the heroes met face-to-face with the Darth-Vader-esque guy. He took off his mask, and surprise surprise, it was the famous explorer. The heroes did not see this coming at all. The famous explorer said that he had "revealed" who he was earlier by showing them a pangolin even though he said he was in Australia. Why was he trying to reveal who he was back then???

And then, for the climactic battle, the famous explorer challenged them to... a basketball game. Yes, really. It was the tech guy and his girlfriend vs. the famous explorer and two new minions that the movie introduced out of nowhere: One, a Perky Female Minion. Two, the Cheshire Cat. The actual, pink-and-purple one from Disney's version.

Anyway, the heroes won the basketball game, and the villains never really showed up again after that.

I hope I didn't just predict the plot of Strange World.

I had a weirdly Christmas-y dream despite it being September. Like, from having to sing Christmas songs at school to hanging out on some weird arctic beach.

So this dream is mainly about somebody that I know in school. To protect her privacy, I will not be using her real name. Instead, let's call her Sara.

So, I get an email saying that she had a accident in volleyball practice & she was pretty broken. We (being the whole school) had to raise money to pay her bills, though from what I could remember, there wasn't a whole lot of fundraising.

So this dream went in all different directions, until me & some other people were helping Sara. From what I could remember, she had gotten hit in the face with a volleyball. (Apparently, those things are hard.) We were just talking, & then I woke up.

So yeah, not really weird, but just kinda absurd.
