This thread is dedicated to image suggestions for pages without pics (including those pulled by Image Pickin'). Guidelines:
- Please read How to Pick a Good Image and Just a Face and a Caption before suggesting an image. Additionally, make sure to source the image in your post.
- If you have multiple suggestions you'd like to field for a single page, that can merit its own thread. Otherwise, use this thread.
- It is recommended that you upload your suggestions as you would like them to be formatted on the page.
- A crowner will be generated with suggestions which will be voted on as normal:
- The crowners will generally run 12-15 items at any given time and may go as high as 20 if there's a backlog of suggestions, so please do not add items to a crowner once it's running.
- After 3 days, any options with a net vote count of ≥10 can be put on their respective pages. After 5 days, this can apply to options with a net vote count of ≥7. Anything below that will need to go the full 7 days.
- After 7 days, generally the unprocessed options that have a positive vote count (2:1) can go up on their respective pages. Old thread rule, no longer enforced
- Suggestions will generally be processed and added to crowners in the order they come into the thread.
- Selected images will be tagged using this template (which goes above the image):

What An Idiot is about stupid characters, not concepts like stores, and the series is absurd enough that this doesn't feel inherently stupid by that book's logic to me, without context at least.

I'm not sure if there's better examples (mainly because of the r-word usage even if it is misspelled and a very old translation) but I feel like this also works without context.

Given it has an entry on the page, I guess I had the last bit in mind with how certain moments look strange with or without context.
- The most infamous and memetic instance of this trope for this series would be the So Bad, It's Good "Duwang" fan translation of Diamond is Unbreakable, a Recursive Translation done by a Chinese student (using a Chinese translation of the manga) for an English class project. "Duwang" comes from the translation of the setting, more accurately translated as "Morioh". The series being already quite strange didn't help matters any, so dialogue and events that already didn't make a whole lot of sense out of context (or in context, for that matter) look like complete nonsense.

I guess looking over the trope page and what the manga ended up getting more properly translated as in that moment again, I'd say DIU's duwang translation does fit the bill with being "overly literal, grammatically incorrect", and "very awkward". Mainly because the first and last speech bubbles in the image don't exactly add up with newer translations. So to answer your question it's probably both?
