Inspired by this thread, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

I tried to clean up some of the negativity on Food Fight. Just the main page, haven't touched the YMMV or other subpages yet.
You can call me Red.Actual example from YMMV.Food Fight:
- WTH, Casting Agency?: The celebrity voices of Charlie Sheen, Hilary Duff, Eva Longoria and Christopher Llyod are wasted on such a garbage movie.
In addition, the example for Bile Fascination is one of many Bile Fascination examples that makes me wonder why it's not Flame Bait, and I personally don't see too many differences between it and Snark Bait, which was made Flame Bait after frequently being used as a stand-in for So Bad, It's Horrible.
Edit: Bile Fascination's description calls it a Fan Speak term, but it isn't definition-only (it's listed as allowing wicks but not on-page examples).

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Looking at some of the wicks, I'm inclined to agree. Maybe head on over to the Wick Check Project thread and start a wick check?
EDIT: I'm just gonna do it. I'm seeing lots and lots of complaining and ZCEs, I think it would just be better to get it over with.
EDIT 2: I have created a sandbox for the wick check. Sandbox here.

TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallNaturally, Porting Disaster attracts complaining, but it's far worse in the on-page examples. For example, here's an example from the Handhelds subpage vs. its corresponding wick at YMMV.Super Mario Maker: On-Page
- Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS suffers from baffling design decisions. For starters, there's no ability to upload levels, so instead the only way to share them is through StreetPass. Although it's possible to play levels from the Wii U version, there's no way to search for them, so the only way to play them is through the (dubious even on the Wii U) in-game filtering. There's also no Mystery or Big Mushrooms, so levels that used them are unplayable. It also suffers from slowdown, and it's one of the few first-party games on the system to have no 3D functionality. On the plus side, it does feature a heavily expanded single-player campaign.
- YMMV.Super Mario Maker: The 3DS port, while perfectly functional, is near-unanimously considered completely inferior to the original. Questionable choices such as the removal of Mystery Mushrooms and the lack of online are commonly accepted as destroying half of the original game's fun. On the technical side of things, the port suffers a good deal more slowdown than the original, and the graphics of the New Super Mario Bros. version are worse than in New Super Mario Bros. 2. The expanded single-player campaign has been praised, but also received some criticism for the poor implementation of the Challenge Medals, and is ultimately considered to not be enough to make up for the port's shortcomings.
I've been wondering why WTH, Casting Agency? is being used for good actors in poor-quality movies rather than just unfitting actors. In fact, I'm starting to think this constitutes misuse.

Isn't that what Took the Bad Film Seriously is for?
Nevermind, it's for good performances in low-quality movies, not for bad performances.

Do these examples from In Name Only read as complainy to anyone?:
- Five words: The Fox and the Hound. How Walt Disney Studios managed to look at what reads like a fictionalized documentary about the life and times of a mongrel hunting dog and a human-reared wild fox who live through bear hunts, rabies epidemics, and the rise of suburbia among other things and thought it would make a wonderful talking animals musical about racism is a mystery for the ages.
- Astro Boy keeps the broad premise of the original manga/anime (a grieving scientist creates a super-robot in the likeness of his deceased son), but changes the specifics, characters, and overall setting so radically that it frankly feels very much like a lawyer-friendly homage that somehow got permission to use the actual branding. The story is set in a World in the Sky After the End instead of the near-future, most of the cast act nothing like they do in the source, and the characters that are even from the manga to begin with are vastly outnumbered by the Canon Foreigners. What makes this one especially odd is that there are a ton of Mythology Gags, some quite deep-cutting, to such an extent that it's clear the creators were familiar with the source material, yet they seem to have ignored it anyways.
I think it needs a major rewrite or even removal. Both of them.
The Ben Chatham Adventures is an ongoing series of Doctor Who fanfics by Sparacus, a poster on Gallifrey Base. They star Ben Chatham ("played" by Adam Rickett), a heroic, self-deprecating, multi-layered character self-insert of the author.
Yes I get the fic has problems, but I don't see the point of sarcastic praise.
Wow, that's just a Sarcasm Mode pothole disguised as a link to Blatant Lies. Yes, sentences like these end up being very annoying, so let's just trim the parts linking to Blatant Lies and keep the rest.
I donโt see what the point of Eight Point Eight is, since itโs just complaining about stuff that didnโt get high enough scores. Same with Award Snub.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread! After reading the former's Administrivia.Tropes Needing TRS entry, I'd say that Eight Point Eight should be downgraded to Fan Speak since it has no direct relevance to the work. I'm unsure about Award Snub, though, since I don't see much evidence of actual complaining.
I'm back!Saw a tweet about this. Its on ExecutiveMeddling.Western Animation. There are so many things wrong here it's not even funny.
- The AT&T merger and restructuring changed a lot of things for Cartoon Network. The advent of HBO Max caused Summer Camp Island, Infinity Train, Tig 'n Seek, and The Fungies! to all move there when they were supposed to air on the linear channel. Instead of just making the movie already, CN is making The Amazing World of Gumball clipshows that require minimal effort and very little new animation. The merger is also why The Venture Bros. was unceremoniously canceled. It's very telling that CN's upcoming slate is very small. To wit - we have a Spinoff Babies show about We Bare Bears, a preschool show about the Batmobile, a Lucas the Spider show, and Elliott from Earth, which we haven't gotten new info on, except that the showrunner up and left the show in the middle of production. Also, Trick Moon was rejected in favor of the aforementioned Batmobile show.
That appears to be all complaining. Cut.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper Wall~Swim To The Moon is being an elitist douchebag and removed the Anvilicious example on The Simpsons S7 E11 "Marge Be Not Proud", even though that was clearly correct and isn't complainy at all.
- Anvilicious: It wasn't enough for Bart to get into trouble and punished for his shoplifting like any other episode, they had to have everyone flagrantly condemn him for what he's done, even by those who are guilty of goading him into shoplifting in the first place, and especially by his mother Marge, who proceeds to make him pay by ignoring him until Bart decides to make up for what he did. Audiences ended up feeling that the episode went a bit overboard in the lesson, especially when Bart had done things as bad as this in previous episodes, and wasn't condemned nearly as much like in this episode.
Plasma, you're edit warring and you're also being pretty rude yourself.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAside from the nasty language, I find it ironic that you get so angry at someone who acted towards you the same way you acted towards me in the YMMV page for "Marge In Chains". Heck, they even used the exact same quip questioning if you even watched the episode that you said to me.
I can't deal with these forums; they anger up the blood too much.Best I can tell, it's not an example anyway. Go ahead and just cut it.
SoundCloudAside from being blatant complaining, neither films are listed as So Bad, It's Horrible. Definitely cut that.

back lolZCE, and you can't link to SBIH in normal wiki pages (is either film even on SBIH?) so it should be removed. I highly doubt it's even a proper Spiritual Successor other than both being infamous movies about Christmas and commercialism. (Double 'd lol)
(Also, looking at the date that was added, I'm almost positive this is a Reviews Are the Gospel thing cuz Nostalgia Critic just reviewed Deck the Halls and brought up Kranks a few times.)

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Memes.Cyberpunk 2077 has jabs towards the developers, whether it's due to the delays, the crunching, or the bugs. Possible addition to the controversial works sandbox?
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope Report@Almighty King Prawn: Yeesh, cut that.
...do you happen to have a link to that tweet?
Jawbreakers on sale for 99ยขI suggest the Cyberpunk 2077 should be locked until further notice and the entry for Cyberpunk 2077 placed in the Controversial Works index.
Re: Superman: Removed the "Describe topic here" line; it's unnecessary, and the bashiness makes it even more so.
