    The Crystal Brawling Heroes Arc
Koji Kiyoshi, a 12-year old boy, always dreams of becoming a great Crystal Brawler. One day, he have unexpectedly failed his entrance exam to the Crystal Brawlers Junior High School, and got teased by Shinju Kumiko, his childhood rival. However, when he met Roaracryst for the first time to stop Darkslash from cutting off the power in town, he is granted another chance by Daichi Kentarō, one of the staff members from the Junior High School.

When Koji (now a Shuriken Crystal Brawler) enters the school, he first met Sora Nijiko (Rainbow type with Mouselette), and Saburo Shinchiro (Fire type with Ninecoat), during the simulation in health class by Takeshi Kenta, where Koji and Roaracryst learns fusion by Mergerist. Later, after they defeat the Pac-Mans that are invading the school, Koji encounters the Furious Five, the antagonists that steals Crystal Balls, and tricked him to stealing Crystal Balls, making him believe that it is a good deed.

Later, he met Aoha Atashino (Grass type with Plantmore), who may have a crush on him after invading her garden. Aoha gave Koji and Roaracryst a responsibility for her human-hungry plant. The next day, the gang met Manami Yoko (Water type with Dolphlor), part of the Yoko family who sells "God Water". The gang then met Ryou Fumihito, Shari's assistant, and helped him take care of Shari's lab, unsuccessfully. Later, Koji dreams about a mysterious Crystal Monster in the cave who claims to know him. Next day, he met Riku Katashi (Ground type with Godiggor), who is looking for his family treasure underground in Koji's garden.

Then, Koji and Aoha met Akimitsu Haruto (Electric type with Electro), when they are in the power plant due to power failure at the school. Koji and Akimitsu became quick friends and teams up to fight Shinju. Later, Koji befriends Makoto Minoru (Music type with Dragonar), who comes from an Orbon Region, and claims to be a master of Electric Guitar. • Big "YES!": Koji did this when his mother, Natsuki decided to register him to Crystal Brawling Junior High School.
  • Bitch Slap: Izum does this to Makoto after he thought that he rejected Natsumi.
  • Challenging the Bully: Koji challenges the ninth graders to the battle, with Katsuro being the leader.
  • Death Glare: Shinju gives Koji this when she realized that he is also applying to go to Crystal Brawler Junior High School.
  • Dream Episode: The chapter revolves around Koji dreaming that he is in the cave, where he met Marc for the very first time.
  • Dynamic Entry: Roakijushiku meets Koji like this. When Koji threw the book, Roakijushiku suddenly destroys it with some beam.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Lot of characters have oval-like eyes that are tilted towards each other in the very early chapters. In the very first chapter, the series uses a completely different concept other than fusion, in which the Crystal Brawler and Crystal Monster separately has the same aura, and can both be affected by injuries.
  • Eek, a Mouse!!: Natsuki Kiyoshi does this when Koji introduces Roakijushiku to home.
  • Enemy Eats Your Lunch: Katsuro actually shoved Koji's lunch on the ground by pushing the table.
  • Escaped from the Lab: The Ball Monsters have escaped from the lab
  • Establishing Series Moment: The Crystal Monster shown on screen is presented by an announcer, who stated that it will begin it's most powerful form yet, which makes Koji make up his mind about going to Crystal Brawler Junior High School.

  • Heat Wave: The chapter where Manami is immune to the heat, the school is up to 80 to 100 degrees inside (stated by Koji}.
  • I Was Just Joking: The police officer does this to Koji even though he was wearing a Furious Five Costume, but he didn't take part of their work.

  • Smoking Is Cool: Makoto does this, and encourages Koji to smoke once.
  • Starter Villain: The Furious Five appears to be the starter villain of the series, where they would have their own story arc after the first one. If you count the Crystal Monsters as this trope, then it's Darkslash, the most powerful monster Koji and Roakijushiku have ever faced.

  • Tearsof Joy: Natsuki Kiyoshi does this while staring at the flower that Koji and Riku planted.

    The Furious Five Army Arc
Following a warning from Marc at the beginning of May 2 that there would be a Furious Five invasion from that point in his second dream, Koji has to train for 14 days. So he chose Sabunako, Aohapura, Rikugro, Akimere, and Makodora, and their Crystal Monsters to train before the battle between them and the Furious Five began. But on the evening of the invasion, Koji dreamed again in the cave, and Marc sent him on a mission to find three stones to make cryptocrystalline. On the day of the invasion, Sabunako, Aohapura, Rikugro, Akimere, and Makodora arrived and defeated the Furious Five Blue. However, worried that Kojiroara wouldn't come back until late, they faced the Furious Five Blue group anyway.

Makodora attacked first, eventually killing the first member of the Furious Five Blue group and the Crystal Brawlers fought the other four members after. Meanwhile, Koji and Roakijushiku climbed to the top of the mountain, grabbed a blue stone and fell from the top, discovering a "steel nest" grown from Kojiroara's hands after they fused. Sabunako has already been defeated, and Rikugro confronts the Furious Five Yellow after finally killing the last two members. Meanwhile, Koji and Roakijushiku travel through the woods and encounter yellow stones while Crystal Brawler faces a Furious Five Yellow. When Koji tries to get it, a giant snake confronts him and eventually bites a yellow stone. Koji and Roakijushiku merge into Kojiroara to fight the snakes, but the snakes traps them. Returning to the Furious Five's hideout, when the yellow members of the Furious Five attack, Akimere eventually kills the first member and uses the "duo move" with Aohapura (the attack previously used with Kojiroara in Chapter 10). To kill the second member, Makodora attacks before long, but is paralyzed by the third member and cannot move.

While paralyzed, the third member drowned in Makodora's energy. However, after Rikugro attacked the third member of the Yellow Furias Five, Makodora was released again, and Akimere ended him with a "Thunder Power" move, killing the fourth member. However, Akimere was eventually knocked out by the fifth member of the Furious Five Yellow, and Rikugro began to attack him. Meanwhile, after it rained, Kojiroara was released from the snake. The snake and Kojirora have agreed to prevent the snake's master from dying of illness. She then rewards both red and yellow stones. Now with three stones, Kojiroara is now adventuring to save his friends. Meanwhile, the Crystal Brawlers began to face a Furious Five Red (this is the final round), and after he defeats the first member of the Furious Five Red, Rikugro is finally knocked out, and Makodora then defeated the second member.

However, Makodora was brutally beaten by the third member of the Furious Five Red, and Kojiroara finally arrived to protect Aohapura from the Furious Five Red, with Aohapura remaining. He killed two members and finally left the leader of the group. Kojiroara killed the Furious Five Leader, and he and Aohapura decided to heal the rest of the Crystal Brawlers with a potion. When the Crystal Brawlers are healed, they decided to name their Fusions because of the confusions. In a Furious Five hideout, they found a crystal ball on the top floor until they met the Furious Five leader, Hunter Grai. The Crystal Brawlers were faced when Hunter Grai announced that he would achieve the Crystal Ball away from them. Only Sabunako, Rikugro, and Akimere were knocked out as they attacked Hunter Grai. Meanwhile, Makodora forfeits the battle for Kojiroara to fight Hunter Grai alone. However, despite the different levels, Kojiroara refuses to accept the defeat from Hunter Grai.
