Formed from the ashes of a Yakuza group, Akanyatsura is a team of five people who's unity transcends all else. The group create exciting songs with diverse rap styles that draw from a number of genres to get the audience involved.

- Incredibly Obvious Tail: The younger members are bad stalkers, which Iori finds amusing.
- Meaningful Name: Their name means 'Those bad guys', reflecting their status as gangsters
- Odd One Out: Fitting with their traditional theme, Akanyatsura is the only group with Japanese song titles.
- Protectorate: Satsuki, Reo, and Hokusai are kept in the dark about a lot of Iori and Zen's more dangerous activities. While the three of them understand that the elders are doing it to protect them, eventually they get frustrated about it since they feel that they are not recognized.
- Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: Every member of the team were picked up by Iori, regardless of background.
- Secret-Keeper: Along with Kanata, Hajun, and the real Nayuta, Iori and Zen are one of the members from the original main cast who know about the side effects of the Phantometals besides the trap reactions. The two of them head investigations with the help of Kanata, and even try enlisting Hajun to work together with them. They are determined to keep this a secret from the other members of Akanyatsura to protect them, but turns out the three already deducted this from observing the older two.
- Survivor Guilt: The Suiseki group was annihilated two years prior to the main story, with the Akanyatsura members surviving due to being out during the time it happened. Even in the present day, the younger ones are especially shaken up at the events that occurred and their inability to save any of their family members.
- Theme Naming: All of their songs have English titles in capitalized letters with a subtitle that includes the group name Akanyatsura. The exclusions are:
- "EMPEROR - WE ON FIRE!! -", which does not include Akanyatsura in the subtitle. This is a collaboration song with Koda Kumi.
- "TURN IT UP!!!!!! -悪漢SOUL FEVER-" only has the first part 悪漢 (akan).
- "大火傷 - License To Kill -" and "喝采 -Leave It To Me-", in which the titles are in kanji.
- Undying Loyalty: Zen, Satsuki, Reo and Hokusai will follow Iori to hell and back even if it harms them. Their dynamic with each other emphasizes this.
- Discussed in FAMILY, where cozmez asks the younger ones if they would feel betrayed if they found out Iori and Zen were lying to them about something (which is about Alter Trigger and the Phantometals). They reply that they know Iori and Zen would only lie to them for their protection, so they wouldn't be worried over it.
- Later on in VIBES, upon the incident with Hajun, Hokusai and Reo reveal that they already realized that Iori and Zen were hiding the effects of the Phantometals from them but knew it was hidden for their own good. Satsuki, the only one Locked Out of the Loop, doesn't even dwell on it and immediately says he'd stake his life for his comrades.

- A Father to His Men: Views Akanyatsura as an actual family instead of being just a Yakuza gang, and it's clear that the feeling's mutual with the rest of the team. It's also notable that he was the one who picked up Hokusai, Reo, and Satsuki, and gave the three a home in the Suiseki group.
