Supporting characters

Family members

    Sugasano family
Composed of Allen from BAE and his parents: a pianist father and an opera singer mother.
  • Abusive Parents: Allen was raised to compete and take victory in violin competitions or his parents' ego. Upon learning about Allen's love for hip-hop, his parents burn his record collection and tell him that hip hop is an inferior form of music.
    Yeon family
Composed of older brother Hajun from BAE, younger brother Dongha from AMPRULE, and their parents, who are the owners of the Yeon Conglomerate in South Korea.
  • Fiction 500: The Yeon Conglomerate is the richest conglomerate in South Korea, with ties to companies in other nations and is a financial backer for Alter Trigger.
  • Happily Adopted: Hajun was adopted by a loving couple who groomed him to eventually inherit the Yeon conglomerate...
  • Parental Abandonment: ...until Hajun's mother gave birth to Dongha, who would eventually inherit the conglomerate naturally. Hajun got disowned as a result.
  • Parental Favoritism: Dongha was greatly favored over Hajun even as a newborn, because he was the blood-related son and Hajun was not. In Dongha's eyes, however, he feels inferior since Hajun is still seen by his parents as the superior one.
    Faulkner family
Composed of Anne from BAE and their mother. Their parents divorced when Anne was 15.
  • Abusive Parents: Anne was interested in fashion and knew of their identity from an early age, but was oppressed by their old-fashioned and strict mother who wanted them to become "mama's only prince."
    Saimon family
Composed of Naoakira from The Cat's Whiskers and his late wife, Tsubaki. Together with Saimon and Yohei, who formed the rap duo XXXX (pronounced Quadra-X), Tsubaki helped with composing the duo's tracks.
  • Amnesiac Lover: Due to the side effects of the Alter Trigger experiments, she eventually loses her memories of Naoakira (and in extension, Yohei).
  • The Lost Lenore: Tsubaki passed away before the events of the series and her death is the cause of Naoakira's trauma.
  • Love Triangle: Yohei was in love with Tsubaki, who was already Naoakira's lover at the time. The latter two don't know about this since Yohei never confessed or acted on his feelings, but Naoakira had a inkling.
    Yatonokami family
Currently composed of the twins from cozmez.
  • Abusive Parents: Their mother regrets giving birth and tells this outright to her children's faces. Their father is nowhere to be found.
  • Pet the Dog: Whenever their mother brought a new boyfriend home, the twins would be given money to spend so that they would get out of the house.
    Suiseki group
The Yakuza group was once a big family, but was annihilated two years ago, with the only surviving members being Akan Yatsura. Shingo Suiseki was the previous head.
  • A Father to His Men:
    • When Reo was kidnapped by goons who were after his father's debts, the entire Suiseki group came to rescue him, including the clan head Shingo himself.
    • Shingo supported the path that Yohei wanted in life and continued looking after him despite leaving the group. The Saimon couple had a good impression of him, even questioning if he was really a yakuza head.
  • Japanese Dialects: Shingo spoke in a Kansai dialect, and Iori has been imitating this ever since he succeeded Shingo as the new head.
  • Mysterious Backer: Iori and Hajun find out that the head of the Suiseki group had been helping in the funding of Alter Trigger's experiments. Turns out the man himself didn't know that this funding went to supporting human experiments: what he knew was that those were experiments on Phantometals being used to help deaf people. Once he withdrew, the whole group was killed except for the members of Akan Yatsura.
