- Comet of Doom: Hails from THE Comet of Doom, Halley's Comet.
- Crazy Homeless People: Rosetta sings an apparently random lullaby, drinks a lot, and flirts with Lupin, insisting that she's really quite attractive.
- Fan Disservice: Lupin's reaction to her attempted striptease early on in the motel room.
- I Was Quite the Looker: Claims to have been romantically involved with Napoléon Bonaparte and Alexander the Great, as well as being a popular dancer in Europe. She really was.
- Really 700 Years Old: After a set amount of time (usually 76 years), she changes between her elderly form to her younger appearance.

- All Chinese People Know Kung-Fu: Qing Xiao, the Chinese Interpol agent, is a kung fu expert.
- Amazon Brigade: The ICPO Beauty Contest nominees following Zenigata through the movie.
- Amazonian Beauty: Zakskaya is the tallest, bustiest, and strongest of the group.
- Anime Chinese Girl: Qing Xiao, including stereotypical clothes, hairstyle, and speech.
- Ax-Crazy: Compared to Zenigata only wanting to arrest Lupin, the girls are all perfectly fine with killing him using Kuwaiti tanks.
- Brainless Beauty: Nearly all the nominees.
- Dark Horse Victory: How Lasagna wins the competition, with no introduction prior to the final results.
- Defeat by Modesty: Interestingly, it affects both combatants. When Qing Xiao tries to drop-kick Goemon, she accidentally gives him a great view of her panties. Qing Xiao and Goemon both get flustered and embarrassed by this, and can't keep fighting.
- Edible Theme Naming: Each woman is named after a food from their home country. Qing Xiao is named after chow mein noodles and Zakskaya is named after Slavic hors d'oeuvres.
- Saranda is the odd name out, instead being named after a city in Albania
- Leitmotif: Qing Xiao is often accompanied by a short ocarina tune whenever she makes a solo appearance or makes a romantic gesture towards Goemon.
- Love at First Sight: Qing Xiao and Goemon fall for each other while fighting on a train.
- Marshmallow Hell: Zakskaya does this to Zenigata when he accidentally insults her. Unlike many examples, this is played as a Cool and Unusual Punishment rather than fanservice. Lupin, Jigen, and Goemon even comment on what she could possibly be doing to him.
- Sassy Black Woman: Saranda, owing to her being Kenyan. The English dub plays this up with her sounding more African-American than African.
- Show Some Leg: In the Iraq desert, the female ICPO agents convince some passing tanks to stop and help, by stripping down to their beauty pageant swimsuits. Then they steal the tanks from the soldiers.
- Sixth Ranger: Technically, Qing Xiao becomes one for Lupin, Jigen, Goemon, Fujiko, and Rosetta, by way of stalling for Goemon.
- Tank Goodness: The nominees steal some army tanks at one point to chase Lupin with. They all end up being partly destroyed.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: Alas, Goemon doesn't look for Qing Xiao after their train scene, and the other nominees gag her when she calls for him in the finale.
Marciano

- Big Bad: Boss of the New York Mafia and primary competition against Lupin in his goal to find the gold.
- Crazy Jealous Guy: Marciano does not like the idea of Fujiko being interested in any other man, especially not competition like Lupin III.
- The Don: He leads an outfit of the New York Mafia.
- Meaningful Name: A variant based on Alternate Character Reading. The name means "little warrior" and acts as Named After Somebody Famous, with the celebrity in question being boxer Rocky Marciano.
- The Spanish dub had to enforce the original Italian pronunciation with a Spell My Name With An S exmple, changing it to "Marchiano". Otherwise, his name would mean that he is a Martian.
Kowalski
Japanese: Chikao Ohtsuka

- Cigar Chomper: Most of his scenes show him with one in his mouth, acting as an Establishing Character Moment.
- Explosive Cigar: Near the end, Lupin threatens Kowalski with some cigars which are presumably bombs powerful enough to wipe out the floor of the skyscraper they're in. Kowalski thinks this is a bluff and after disposing of Lupin and Fujiko, lights one of the cigars. Lupin wasn't bluffing.
- Cool and Unusual Punishment: Kowalski's punishment for failing him is... spanking. He uses a custom-made flyswatter which looks like a spiked club of sorts, hurts like hell and can even be poisoned.
- The Dragon: The second in command to Marciano, and leader of his gang while Marciano is away in Baghdad.
- Dragon-in-Chief: Marciano is pretty much a wimp, but Kowalski poses the greatest threat.
- Poisoned Weapon: Kowalski's flyswatter can release a deadly toxin.
- The Starscream: Near the end, Kowalski murders Marciano and takes his place.
- You Have Failed Me: He punishes members of his gang for failure by flogging them with with the flyswatter of doom, and with every subsequent failure, the floggings get more severe. On the third failure, the punishment is death by poisoned flyswatter of doom. He later does this to Marciano.
Marciano Gang
Japanese: Obon (Willy), Kobon (Chin)

- Bumbling Henchmen Duo: Willy and Chin are the first two bad guys to appear in the film and are always seen together
- Cowardly Lion: Despite being members of a known mafia outfit, they're rather spineless.
- Dodgy Toupee: Willy's hair is a target of the Zantetsuken, revealing that he has been wearing a toupee the whole time.
- Exact Words: Willy tries to enforce this from his first meeting with Lupin in New York when he and the others under Marciano surround Lupin exiting the Iraqi tower ruins. In Lupin's case, he jokingly suggests that he be fired at with golden bullets or diamond bullets. Willy makes a Call-Back to the joke, this time having made actual golden bullets with the intention to kill.
- Hulk Speak: Chin in the English dub. Most of his lines are mainly his own catchphrase: "Me wanna kill Lupin!"
- Latex Perfection: Their first scene together has Willy and Chin disguised as Jigen and Goemon.
- Minion with an F in Evil: All of them, save for Kowalski.
- The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: Chin's MO throughout the film, since he wants to be the one that kills Lupin, even spoiling Willy's attempt at shooting Lupin with gold bullets.
