I'm PeachySqueezy, but you can call me Midori instead, which is my handle in games. I'm just a regular guy who wants to be an animator, has been studying English for 10 years nonstop, composes music in his spare time, likes studying history, does Taekwon-Do, loves scriptwriting, plays videogames, watches certain cartoon shows, among other things. I live in a barren wasteland otherwise known as the Argentine Patagonia.
Personality-wise, I can be either jovial and naive or downright snarky. I am rather energetic and hyper sometimes and, while it may sound like an oxymoron of sorts, I'm both an introvert and an extrovert, that is, I'm outgoing, provided the others appeal to me. I'd rather hang out with people slightly older than me than hang out with people my age. People usually say I'm going places, but I always reply "I'm not sure about that".
Shoot me a PM if you wanna have a FREE friend! I'll be more than glad to reply back.
This Troper provides examples of:
- The B Grade: Since I'm a straight-A student, this is my standard reaction whenever I get grades lower than 90 or 85%. I should mellow out a bit.
- The Perfectionist: Sadly. I wish I weren't one of these.
- Super OCD: Zig-zagged. Whereas I'm kind of obsessed about symmetry, I couldn't care less about whether my surroundings are tidy or not.
- Beneath the Mask: Averted, even though sometimes I act in a more cartoonish manner in order to sound funnier or more friendly. It often backfires on me, making me look weirder.
- Ditzy Genius: Yeah... it's kind of embarrassing, y'know. Let's say I'm the kind of person who may inadvertently reply "Likewise" to something like "Happy birthday!", and at the same time, I'm the best student in all of my school...
- Moreover, I tend to be extremely forgetful and I always misplace important stuff such as important assignments, keys, you name it.
- I forget words, or even entire statements mid-sentence.
- Behold! Thou art standing before Midori, King of Malapropers! note
- Cloudcuckoolander: Only when it is humorous.
- Cuteness Proximity as well as Cuteness Overload as a result of the former.
- Gratuitous Japanese: The only kind of Japanese I can speak as of the time of writing. That aside, let me tell you that I'm teaching myself how to speak this beautiful language, so this might change in the long run.
- Surprisingly Good English: At least that's what people say. Of course, I don't really think my English is good though.
- Not to be big-headed, but not very long ago a girl from New York mistook me for an exchange student. More specifically, she thought I was British.
- According to Cambridge, my English is on par with that of a native speaker. However, in my honest opinion...
- Bilingual Dialogue: Some of my friends or classmates understand English, but would rather communicate in Spanish, and this happens when I speak English (which I like better) to them.
- The Ace: Again, that's what people think, which is downright irksome. For some reason, this puts a buttload o' pressure on me.
- Broken Ace
- Determinator: Yep, that's me - if I have a goal in mind I won't stop till I succeed.
- Art Evolution: As seen in the page picture.
- The Smart Guy
- Misunderstood Loner with a Heart of Gold: I'm a loner because people don't really know what to talk to me about.
- Informed Loner: I do hang out with people, but it feels off. This might as well veer off to Alone in a Crowd.
- Plucky Comic Relief
- Animesque: My drawing style as of right now.
- Cultural Cringe: Oh, god. Don't even get me started on this. I mean, I don't hate us Argentines, I just dislike how we think we're superior when we are just smug simpletons. Not all of us, though.
- Does Not Understand Sarcasm: Zig-zagged. Despite the fact I can come across as a wry person at times, and that I'm fond of sarcastic humour, when people make a wry remark I most likely didn't even understand what they meant, or worse, I might assume they were being completely serious, unless they provide some kind of cue such as voice tone.
- Late to the Punchline: It can happen regardless of the kind of joke, but more so when it's lewd jokes we're talking about. Sometimes I might not even get the joke at all, and ask for an explanation.
- Made much more irritating (for me) when I know they're making a double entendre, but I can't quite put my finger on what they actually mean by it.
- Naturally, this leads to me unwittingly making double entendres.
- But on the other hand, it also renders most double entendres null when people are talking to me.
- Incorruptible Pure Pureness: I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't go clubbing, I never stay up overnight, I'm extremely hard to influence or coax... and I'm really proud.
- On the other hand...
- I pity those who indulge in these activities for the sake of approval. If people don't like me the way I am, then I don't even bother talking to them, because doing so is clearly not worth my time.
- In spite of the above said, I too fail to accept my own slip-ups, because deep within my heart I'm kind of afraid of not being regarded as "that guy who never makes mistakes" anymore...
- B.S.O.D: Only when I'm pretty hooked watching anime. I also make the same expressions as the characters on-screen if they happen to be going through one of these.
- Serial Tweaker: Yes indeed. After I click "Post" on formus, a myriad of thoughts such as "IS THAT GRAMMATICALLY CORRECT?", "WAS MY CONTRIBUTION EVEN RELEVANT TO THE TOPIC??", "DID I GET MY POINT ACROSS OR IS IT PRONE TO MISUNDERSTANDING?", "OH GOD DOES THAT SOUND AGRESSIVE? BECAUSE I TOTALLY DIDN'T MEAN TO CONVEY THAT!!" wildly race through my head. In the end, I always yield to the pressure and wind up clicking "Edit".
- British English: Oi, this is the type of English I grew accustommed to speaking, mate. note
- Nevertheless, I used to speak American English in the past.
- Foreign Culture Fetish: I... kinda love all things Britain. I also respect Canada a lot. And Australia too.
- And alongside that comes cultural rebelliousness... note
- Don't get me wrong - I love my language. I just dislike my regional accent/dialect. I find Castillian Spanish utterly mellifluous. note
- Dandere: This term pretty much describes me.
- Moe: According to my older friends. Some think so because of my body language.
- Hikikomori: Downplayed. Although I enjoy myself when I go out, I'd rather not do it unless I have a good enough reason.
