The Kingdom of Albion

    Roboute Guilliman
Primarch of the Thirteenth Legiones Astartes - the Ultramarines - from the prime timeline, and who has been sent back through time into an alternate universe by Cegorach in an attempt to save Isha and - if possible - change the future for the better.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Overlapping with Adaptational Nice Guy; Thanks to the Odd Friendships he builds among the Aeldari along with him gaining more nuanced perspectives on the galaxy around him (i.e., learning of the hellish childhoods of some of his sibling Primarchs), this version of Roboute is significantly kinder and more empathetic than he is in canon 40K.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: Oof, where do we even begin? He became the King of Jedediah through trial by combat and is the head of an alliance between Exodite and Imperium of Man.
  • Badass Bookworm: Can memorize, plan, and understand information at a superhuman level and can fight against giants, daemons and superhumans almost effortlessly.
  • Badass Bureaucrat: Roboute's specialty is administration, being specifically designed to be by the Emperor, who gave him a extremely potent gift for it. Because of this, Roboute is able to smooth over hundreds if not thousands logistical problems at the same time, and this ability allows him to apply his knowledge of the future to it's maximum effectiveness.
  • Big Brother Mentor: Thanks to his centuries of experience he serves in this role to his little sisters.
  • Big Good: He has become one for the Exodites and the Imperium to some extent due to his actions and intended goals.
  • Blue Is Heroic: Roboute's favored color is blue, was the leader of the Ultramarines, and wore an Exodite-made body armor that has the color blue. A very coincidental and fitting choice of color as he is the one who will save Isha.
  • Clueless Chick-Magnet: Asarnil repeatedly pokes fun at how clueless Roboute is to the lustful attention he is getting from numerous different Exodite Eldar maids and female servants.
  • Failed a Spot Check: When helping Morrigan deal with the Overlords on Barbarus, he noted how the battle against each Sorcerer was relatively easy. Apparently, the sorcerers had been gathering the human sacrifices-turned experiment along with the deceased Xeno chaos sorcerer's souls for a planet-wide spell. And Roboute failed to notice this until the last minute.
    • A second example of this is when Roboute failed to realize that he and his siblings have latent psychic talent, especially the ones who does not have shown affinity of it in canon considering he never questioned nor even wondered what is the fuel source for the psychic flames generated by his father's sword.
  • Giver of Lame Names: The prime timeline version of Fulgrim once commented that his naming sense is terrible, and Roboute finds himself in something of an awkward realization that he might have been on to something while penning some of the planned works for future governance and can only think to call it the "Codex Administratum", even awkwardly telling himself it's just a "work in progress" title.
  • Heroic Build: As a Primarch, not only Roboute is huge but he stands around 10 feet tall and weighs several hundred pounds of pure muscles.
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: Downplayed. Roboute knows he's an immensely powerful superhuman, but views his brothers as much more able than himself and thinks his gift as a lot less impressive and spectacular than those his brothers have.
  • Identical Stranger: Explicitly noted; Amadeus DuCaine, Legion Master of the Storm Walkers noticed that Roboute looks almost identical to the Unspeakable King who he killed fifty years before. Both Roboute and the Unspeakable King rule over a land called Albion/Albyon, ruled from a mountain top keep and had red right hands.
  • Immune to Fate: One of the many effects of being transported shortly after dying into the past, per the Word of God Roboute is now hidden from the sights of those who have prophetic gifts related to Tzeentch, the Chaos god of fate, and even Tzeentch himself can't detect him. This is because Cegorach is specifically screwing with Tzeentch, and only Tzeentch, so Kassandra can still see him in her visions.
  • Knightly Sword and Shield: Wields the sword and shield belonging to his father in the prime timeline. Both are incredibly potent weapons as Petra notes neither are capable of breaking.
  • Mr. Fanservice: While it's Played for Laughs more than anything else, the fanfic's narration doesn't exactly shy away from noting how Hunky Roboute looks. It's even repeatedly lampshaded as part of a Running Gag where Asarnil teases Roboute about how oblivious he is to virtually all of Roboute's female staff openly lusting after him.
  • My God, What Have I Done?:
    • He notes that once he would quietly laugh at Leman Russ's jokes about Konrad Curze's jitteriness and dark mutterings about the future, but he can no longer do so after seeing the state of Kassandra on the streets of Nostromo and implicitly knowing that's what happened to Konrad.
    • He's genuinely horrified and angered when he realizes what Aurelia suffered on Colchis and tells her that if he had known he would have made all speed to her first to rescue her before any of that could have happened. Aurelia for her part doesn't hate him at all for this and simply tells him the fact he's here now and that she knew he would come is what mattered in the end.
  • Naked on Arrival: Cegorach sent him back in time armed with the Emperor's sword and shield along with healing the fatal injury Motarion inflicted upon him plus the old one Fulgrim gave him that required his specialized Eldar device to come out of his coma, but also naked as the day he was born as part of the "grand jest". Roboute is unamused, especially when he has to go over wild ground completely barefooted and the Exodite Eldar (subtly and not-so-much) laugh at the sight of him.
  • Not So Above It All: It's helped by the fact that his goals are going quite well and he has ample time to make working towards them viable, but Roboute is fully willing to indulge himself in rather silly endeavors, be it his Snark-to-Snark Combat with Arsanil or teasing his sisters.
  • One-Man Army: Thanks to him starting out with the Exodite Eldar, his associated forces initially lack any true form of infantry. This is made up for by Roboute simply soloing entire armies by himself, as best shown by him beating Asarnil’s best Stormlords in melee combat when he is being tested by the Exodite Warrior Prince.
  • Parental Substitute: As a consequence of taking away his siblings from the planet they were stranded on, he eventually became their adoptive father as a result, though he usually insists that he's just their "big brother".
  • Red Baron: He was given many titles by the Exodites for his deeds and origin.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: As he beholds for himself the kind of Crapsack Worlds his sisters ended up on, he finds himself thinking back on his fallen brothers' various "eccentricities" and deeds and realizing that they had some truly good Freudian Excuses for how they ended up broken men, and berates himself for having not tried harder to help them.

Primarchs Rescued by Roboute Guilliman

    In General
  • Big Brother Worship: All of the Primarchs found so far quickly come to adore their new big brother, especially since he pulled some of them out of truly horrific circumstances (he specifically made first for the Primarchs who had the worst childhoods).
  • Broken Bird: All the Primarch sisters were in a pretty bad position when Roboute found them, or were tormented by their own special abilities.
    • Petra can't not see how everything she looks for can be broken and feels constantly observed by the Eye of Terror.
    • Kassandra was a feral child growing up on the streets of her homeworld eating animal corpses and tormented by horrible nightmare visions of the future.
    • Aurelia was abused in multiple different ways at the hands of Kor Phareon and his men.
    • Morrigan's adoptive father tried to force her to become his successor as an evil necromancer and had to watch the world she fought so hard for turn into a Nurglite Daemon World.
  • Decomposite Character: An interesting In-Universe case, with the Emperor having designed each of them to embody and take inspiration from specific periods in his own life.
  • Gender Flip: They are alternate universe female versions of the Primarchs.
  • Honorary Princess: As one noblewoman of Jedathra points out, because Roboute is crowned king of Jedathra, all the other Primarch sisters are now technically princesses. The same can be said about their role in the Imperium of Man, being the daughters of the Emperor of Mankind, they're all technically crown princesses.
  • Raise Him Right This Time: Guilliman is making an effort to rescue the Traitor Primarchs from their crappy circumstances and molding them into functional individuals out of the hope that this time around they don't end up falling to Chaos.
  • Superior Successor: Much like the ones under their father, they were all designed to become better than their father in some aspect relating to him.
  • Superpower Lottery: Each of the Primarchs possess unique abilities that set them apart among their siblings.
    • Petra can instantly spot & recognize the weaknesses of whatever she lays her eyes upon. She also possesses an innate knowledge regarding how different devices function, can instinctively create great technological & architectural marvels that seem impossible to virtually anyone else, and can always see & sense the Eye of Terror.
    • Kassandra has powerful precognitive abilities in both the long and short terms (such as being able to tell how someone will likely die after seeing their face), with the latter manifesting in her being able to predict the actions of her opponents in combat and counter-act them before they even come to pass. She also possesses superhuman skill in terms of stealth, often being described as skulking around with the skill of a cat despite being a huge Primarch. And while it has yet to appear in the story proper, Kassandra can also emit a “psychic EMP” that dowses lights and shuts down electronics around her.
    • Aurelia’s abilities mostly manifests in terms of her possessing both incredible charisma and an aura of radiance about her, but she also has a far more limited (in comparison to Kassandra) ability to see the future, with her being able to keep her sanity intact during her abuse at the hands of Kor Phaeron thanks to having psychic dreams telling her that Roboute was coming to rescue her.
    • Morrigan is excellent in stealth (though not on the same level as Kassandra), but most notably is completely unmatched among the Primarchs in terms of physical resistance and durability, typically defeating her foes by invoking Victory by Endurance.

    Petra
Primarch of the Fourth Legionas Astartes, and the alternate universe counterpart of Perturabo.
  • Attack Its Weak Point: Even with the slightest glance Petra can tell where the weakest part of a structure, took or even person can be found, making any of her attacks/fixings all the more devastating/effective.
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: Petra can see structural weak points with a glance; however, it also makes them feel observed constantly by the Eye of Terror, and as Guilliman notes how seeing weaknesses everywhere he looks was likely a major reason as to why Perturabo was so miserable.
  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: As a result of never staying on Olympia, Petra never got close to Calliphone.
  • Blessed with Suck: As noted above, her abilities make her a technical prodigy, but also make her deeply cynical since she is basically cursed with always instinctively seeing the worst in anything she lays her eyes upon. Additionally, she can always sense being observed by the Eye of Terror.
  • Cool Big Sis: Attempts to become one to the others, as she goes and helps Kassandra get some feathers from raptors and even gives Kassandra her name.
  • The Engineer: Petra's affinity for technology is evident even from early on, and Roboute makes a note to get her a proper tutor as soon as he can, which he does when he makes an alliance with the Mechanicus on Gryphonne. She takes to said lessons eagerly.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: As Roboute himself tells Morrigan, Petra hides how much she cares behind a wall of criticism.
  • Machine Worship: Played with. Petra recites the litanies of the Mechanicus as a habit despite undemanding many of them are not really needed, and doesn't actually worship the Omnissiah while still being fascinated by the practices and technology of the Mechanicus. On the Mechanicus side a sect has started to form around her as they have proclaimed her "Blessed-By-Deus-Mechanicus" thanks to her being a technical prodigy.
  • Perpetual Frowner: Some form of frown or glare is all but her default expression, though thanks to the positive influence of Roboute and her other sisters it hasn't progressed to straight-up despising everyone out of resentment.
  • Robot Buddy: She has three different servo-skulls she programmed herself (originally donated by Karl Calculatus) that she likes to use in her everyday life.
  • Surveillance Drone: Has one in the form of a servo-skull she build herself, even naming it "Ena".
  • Terse Talker: Much like her canonical counterpart of Peturabo, Petra talks with as few words as possible. During her first meeting with Roboute, he took note of the fact that the first two sentences she ever spoke to him were single words. The third was a diss at "the prophet" (actually himself unknown to her) who thought she would be a boy.

    Kassandra
Primarch of the Eighth Legionas Astartes, and the alternate universe counterpart of Konrad Curze.
  • Animal Motifs: Lampshaded in one canonical omake where she is described as a cat in power armor. Considering she likes to snuggle up to her older brother a lot and is quite good at being stealthy this holds.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Had to be one during her time on Nostramo; a specific example was when she had to leave a woman to get raped as she was too hungry and weak to help the poor woman.
  • Cry into Chest: Had one when receiving from Roboute what was quite possibly the first act of kindness given to her in her entire life.
  • Establishing Character Moment: An In-Universe case; the Eighth Legion of Space Marines is almost entirely made up of the formerly-imprisoned children of criminals and other prisoners, and generally have an internal culture evocative of prisoners (i.e., they all seem to enjoy smoking, playing cards and drinking cheap beer while presenting themselves as hardened toughs). As such, Kassandra immediately gets off on the right foot with them by showing that she views them all as equals via approaching them with lots of bottles of Exodite Ambrosia instead of ordering them around like a slavedriver.
  • The Fatalist: She was in danger of developing into this due to her precognitive visions, but part of her training to control them with the Exodite Eldar has them emphasize that her visions are not absolute due to the ever-shifting nature of the Warp and that each successive vision of a situation can result in, however minor, changes.
  • Magic Knight: One of her greatest advantages in battle - and one of the primary reasons for why she becomes regarded as the best duelist among her fellow sisters rescued by Roboute - is that she uses her ability to see into the future to predict her enemies' motions before they happen, making it near-impossible for properly counter her.
  • Meaningful Name: Kassandra, just like The Cassandra from Greek mythology, has the gift of prophecy that allowed them to see the future, and just like Cassandra it's cursed, which caused them to be tormented by their visions that would eventually drive them into despair and madness. Had Kassandra not have gotten the lessons to control her gift from the Eldar, she would likely have suffered the same fate as Cassandra and the original Konrad Curze.
  • Mundane Luxury: Kassandra was forced to kill for food, eating nothing but raw meat, and generally living as a feral animal from the moment she was essentially still a baby. So when she eats a simple loaf of bread given by Roboute, she thinks it's so tasty that she cries inconsolably and keeps eating even though her stomach hurts from eating too much.
  • Seers: Kassandra has precognitive visions that show her the future, but due to growing up on Nostramo, she almost always sees the worse things that could happen, including how people die. She later gets training from the Exodite Eldar, gaining control so she can turn if off when she wants, and allowing her to see things that aren't horrible.
  • Shrinking Violet: Has a pair of amethyst-purple eyes and is incredibly quiet. Not particularly shy but close enough.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Thanks to the training, aid and (most importantly) love & support of her sisters and Roboute, she goes from a scared & near-helpless little girl to a formidable and dangerous warrior, with her fellow sisters rescued by Roboute openly regarding her as the most dangerous in direct combat among them.

    Aurelia
Primarch of the Seventeenth Legionas Astartes, and the alternate universe counterpart of Lorgar Aurelian.
  • Abusive Parents: Had the misfortune of being raised by the Chaos-aligned religious fanatic Kor Phaeron, who abused her into growing up into an adult within seven months.
  • Cute Bookworm: Loves reading and is as cute as a button.
  • Devoted to You: As a result of receiving love from Roboute despite the terrible treatment she had to endure by Kor Phaeron and the Colchian men, she is incredibly devoted to him and desires to aid in his galactic conquest.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power: While Aurelia's gift of knowing through dreams that her brother Roboute would come to rescue her is not as spectacular as the gifts of her sisters or her brother, it did give her the strength to hold on while under the abuse and sexual assault of Kor Phaeron and his men, when she would have broken otherwise.
  • Nice Girl: Easily the kindest and warmest of the initial Primarchs Roboute rescues. When Roboute ends up critically injured saving Morrigan from her own folly, Aurelia is the only one to treat the self-loathing Morrigan with kindness and understanding from the start while Petra and Kassandra don't hesitate to make their anger and disappointment with their sister's actions known.
  • Rape as Backstory: While it's thankfully only alluded to in broad strokes, one of the punishments she often received would be sexual assault. Aurelia's words indicate it was only because she knew through dreams that Roboute would come to rescue her that she didn't break.
  • Stepford Smiler: Became one overtime, and is noted to still have the general air of "half-broken glass" whenever she speaks to people who are her brother's potential enemies or not his allies and even to Morrigan. This is because while she may have forgiven her "misdeeds," she will never forget it.
  • Younger Than They Look: While all Primarchs mature much quicker than humans it typically take a few years to reach adulthood (in Guilliman's case, about a decade). However their growth can be accelerated by hostile circumstances. The fact that Aurelia fully matured within seven months tipped Guilliman off that something really awful must have happened to her.

    Morrigan
Primarch of the Fourteenth Legionas Astartes, and the alternate universe counterpart of Mortarion.
  • Abusive Parents: Not as bad as Kor Phaeron, but her adoptive father was still a Chaos-worshipping alien sorcerer who used to subject her to his experimentation.
  • Action Girl: While all of the Primarchs will be this in time, Morrigan was the first sister Roboute encountered who had already been tested on the field of battle against the rotting zombie hordes of Barbarus' overlords.
  • The Atoner: She first fought for Barbarus against the hordes of Necare since she wanted to atone for indirectly helping in the subjugation of their people by acting as one of his agents. Furthermore, she's made it a major goal of her to forever make up for nearly getting both herself and Roboute killed when she tried to kill the last Chaos sorcerer on Barbarus alone even when it was clear the planet was about to turn into a Daemon World.
  • Deliberately Painful Clothing: Not quite painful but during her brother's coronation, she had difficulty walking in the dress given to her by Jedethrah's Dam leader as the dress was too small.
  • The Grim Reaper: Had this appearance like her canon self, using a scythe as her weapon of choice and even a hood on.
  • Meaningful Name: She shares her name with the ancient Celtic goddess of witchcraft, death and war.
  • Neat Freak: After bearing witness to Rotigus's revolting powers over decay, Morrigan understandably developed an obsession for cleanliness.
  • Odd Friendship: She forms an odd camaraderie with Fulgrim when they meet on Bastonne and attend a Harlequin theater production together.
  • The Resenter: Something she shares with her original counterpart Mortarion is the tendency to hold onto grudges and stew in resentment. Kassandra has to bring this up to Roboute in order to prevent him making a bad first impression with her by swooping in to completely wipe out the zombie horde she's fighting, and instead he deals with its giant reinforcements and letting her defeat the foes she was already engaging and could reasonably beat.
  • Sinister Scythe: Her primary weapon when she started out helping the people of Barbarus was a beaten-up old farming scythe. She later gets a far better war-scythe made of wraithbone courtesy of the Exodites.
  • Tsundere: Non-romantically. When the resettled Barbarus Lord approaches her to let her know she is being immortalized in their memories as their savior and liberator, she first reacts with disconcertment, as she does not believe she achieved anything compared to Roboute. When the Lord clarifies that they are thankful to him as well, but they have not forgotten how she was the first one to revolt against Necare and they want to honor that resolve, she pulls up her scarf, tells the Lord to do whatever they want, and beats feet.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Growing furious at their inability to detect Necare's plans in advance, Morrigan had the brilliant idea of leading a one-man assault on Necare's fortress which results in the ritual finishing earlier than anticipated. This in turn causes the remaining people of Barbarus to get caught in the crossfire.
  • Victory by Endurance: Lofn observes during a duel that Morrigan relies on the Primarchs' inherent Made of Iron nature more so than their fellow sisters, often tanking direct attacks and defeating her foes through wearing them down to the point of exhaustion.

    Female Angron
Primarch of the Twelfth Legionas Astartes, and the alternate universe counterpart of Angron.
  • Put on a Bus: In a narrative sense as Angron hasn't arrived on Nuceria for roughly 40 years. Also according to Word of God, it is because the author doesn't know what to do with her just yet.

Exodite Eldar

    In General
  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: Their faction as a whole have often been considered in the same grace as the Drukhari and other hostile Xeno species in the previous timeline. In this timeline, not only they are a tentative ally of the Imperium of Man, they are also more united in terms of goal considering Roboute, Primarch of the Ultramarines, told them about the survival of Isha in Nurgle's garden.
  • Badass Native: They possess technology that are considered obsolete by their more advanced counterpart such as the Craftworlders and pre-industrial levels.
  • Color Motif: The Aeldari associates emotions with colors and uses them to describe emotions.
  • Defector from Decadence: As a faction, they had chosen to disown the horribly hedonistic lifestyle that serves as the downfall of their race and civilisation, which allowed them to survive the cataclysm that was the birth of Slaanesh.
  • Redemption Earns Life: A somewhat Downplayed case, as their rejection of the horribly hedonistic lifestyle ended up, saving both their lives and souls, but all of them are still in danger of having their souls consumed if they die without a spirit stone or if they let their emotions get too strong.

     Asarnil
The Dragonlord of Charnac and a close friend of Roboute Guilliman.
  • Action Pet: Has one in a massive lizard whose name is shortened as Deathfang and rides him into battle.
  • Actually Pretty Funny: When he learned about what the future hedonist Aeldari would call themselves, he burst into laughter so bad until he had a Near-Death Experience.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: A reminder of the difference between him and Roboute as the Primarch desired to put certain caste members of the Aeldari like the merchants and toymakers to good use by integrating them into society while he desired to kill them all or at least exiled them because of they are being unproductive and fully aware they are too deep-seated in their ways to change.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Tends to use this, usually while talking with Roboute.
  • Good Is Not Nice: While he does care for the Exodite people, he will not tolerate foul forces of Chaos like the Colchian people and this applies to the toy-makers and merchants that came to his planet when a moot was held.
  • I Owe You My Life: Is deeply irritated that Roboute still views himself as indebted to the Eldar when he is the main reason the Exodites have coalesced into a viable faction and has effectively prevented their decay into the Drukhari or the Craftworld Eldar by rescuing the Everqueen.
  • My Species Doth Protest Too Much: He despises both the Eldar who would become the Dark Eldar and, to a lesser extent, the Eldar that become the Craftworld Eldar. Considering their debauchery, the very same he and like-minded Eldar abandoned to become Exodites, is what birthed Slaanesh, who proceeded to shatter the Eldar interstellar empire and devour most of their gods, this is understandable, and it doesn't hurt that a lot of the Craftworld Eldar he meets are still far too self-conceited with themselves.
  • Near-Death Experience: A downplayed case as he nearly died from letting his emotions getting the better of him by laughing too much at the fact that the Eldar in Commorragh will call themselves in the future, which was enough for She Who Thirst to notice him and tries to eat his soul.
  • Rank Scales with Asskicking: As the Dragonlord of Charnac, not only he is the leader but also one of the strongest fighters it has.
  • Red Baron: Owns many titles.
  • Shipper on Deck: He's planning to help Miriel seduce Roboute.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Of all people, it is Roboute Guilliman. Likes to throw snarks at him and take it as well.

     Miriel
One of the many maids of Charnac and the maid assigned to Roboute Guilliman

     Malekith Mallorn
Malekith Mallorn is the leader of the Exodite faction of the Aeldari race.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Malekith is still the arch traitor to the Eldar, just like in Fantasy, it's just that at the time, the majority of Eldar were the proto-drukharii, which means he was the first one to reject the pleasure cults and lead the first Exodites.
  • Baritone of Strength: Has a voice that is described as powerful.
  • Big Good: As the Lord-Commander of the Exodus Fleet, Malekith similar to his Warhammer Fantasy counterpart, is the leader of the Exodite faction of the Elves. In a way this is also similar to Roboute as he wants the best for the Exodites.
  • Commonality Connection: Has one with Roboute Guilliman of all people, as the two finds filling out documents and paperwork are incredibly important.
  • Expy: Is one of the Witch King Malekith from Warhammer Fantasy, but with the caveat that in this universe he is one of the first of the Exodite Eldar and a Defector from Decadence to the proto-Drukharii.
  • Ironic Nickname: Malekith is known as "the arch-traitor" to the Eldar, but this was because he was the first one to reject the pleasure cults that eventually caused the creation of Slaanesh, so it's safe to say he did the right thing.
  • Large and in Charge: Even amongst the Aeldari Exodite, Malekith stands out as he stands at 9 feet tall and have a powerful build possibly equal to a Primarch.

     Worldsinger Savan
The first person to found Roboute Guilliman.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: Reading Roboute's mind to confirm his story and realizing the vast implications of it all causes him to drain his cup, get a refill, stop when he's half-done to tell a servant to bring a whole bottle, and then amends the statement after a moment to three bottles.

     Malwyrn
An Eldar Wraithlord assigned to Charnac's military forces.
  • Archnemesis Dad: Mother in his case because she is a Daemon Prince.
  • Badass Cape: Has one made out of dragon scales.
  • Cool Old Guy: Comes with the territory of getting interned into an Aeldari equivalent of a Dreadnought, good at a fight, likes to tell war-stories and is an overall a pleasant fellow to converse.
  • Dynamic Entry: Comes through a Webway portal and smashes blade first into Rotigus.
  • Hero of Another Story: Malwyrn was once a great soldier and warrior who had his fair share of conquest, reciting them through poems as he battled.
  • Scatterbrained Senior: Due to his incredibly long lifespan and the mechanism of the Wraith suit, Malwyrn had forgotten much and tends to forget what he was talking about.

     Everqueen
An avatar-host of Isha who lived in the times before the War in Heaven.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Wanted to give the Primarchs adorable nicknames because she finds their actual names very unfeminine.
  • Break the Cutie: A somewhat minor case, as she did spend months mourning over what had happened to the Aeldari society as a whole and the death of their culture and even the destruction of their empire; she decides to push through it and make the best she can. Crosses with The Determinator.
  • Flowery Elizabethan English: Justified as she lived before the fall of the Aeldari civilization and even lived through the War in Heaven, and as such her speech would be different. She can understand them but some of the words become lost in translation.
  • Hidden Depths: Per the Word of God, The Everqueen's reason for trying to befriend the Primarchs is to prevent Roboute from dissolving the alliance between man and Eldar. In addition, she was able to accurately discern the right method to befriend each of the Primarchs.
  • Honesty Is the Best Policy: When confronted by Kassandra for her actions' reasoning, she explicitly states she wants to befriend them for the sake of it.
  • Impossible Hourglass Figure: Is noted to be incredibly beautiful and has a body unlike most Aeldari women as she is incredibly buxom.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: A literal case as she was placed into stasis sleep before the fall of Aeldari.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Even when compared to other Eldar, she is likely physically the oldest Elf alive simply because she was in stasis; that said, as Eldar undergo a reincarnation cycle, or at least did until the Fall, they can spiritually be even older than she, with either Malekith or Malwyrn being the current oldest known in this story.
  • Stronger Than They Look: A case combined with Muscles Are Meaningless as she is a beautiful woman even by Aeldari standards and looks just as dainty (despite standing at the towering height of nine feet tall). She was able to restrain Abram into a smothering hug. Justified as, being the Everqueen, she is literally a walking, talking mold that a goddess can seamlessly pour herself into.
    • She was also able to see past the Emperor's passive blinding psychic emanation and compliment him on his eyes on meeting him, something not even his own children are capable of.
  • Shipper on Deck: She teased Miriel for her affection for Roboute and supports her endeavor in pursuing a romantic relationship with him.

Other Allies/Members of the Kingdom of Albion

    Thunder Warriors
The Thunder Warriors is an ancient Terran-born legion of superhuman army. Dying from their rushed genetic alterations, they are taken in and cured by the Exodite Aeldari to serve the Imperium.
  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: In the original timeline, the Thunder Warriors were exterminated as they were all breaking down on a genetic level. In here, they were healed by the Exodite Aeldari and given a new role to serve Roboute.
  • Badass Army: Serves as one to The Emperor of Mankind and Roboute Guilliman despite the last of them numbering a measly 260 soldiers.
  • Flawed Prototype: Similar to their original timeline counterpart, they were the first mass produced legion of superhuman army but due to the rushed work they were falling apart. In this timeline though, through Roboute's intervention, they are cured of their problems.
  • The Remnant: The Thunder Warriors sent to Roboute are the last survivors of the final great battle on Terra that reunified it under the Emperor and the only ones who haven't yet succumbed to their deterioration. The Emperor fully intended it to be The Last Dance for them if it turned out Roboute was a liar that needed to be annihilated, and they welcomed the chance for a glorious death serving mankind rather than wasting away.
  • Super Prototype: Serves as one for the Space Marine as while the Space Marine have a wide variety of organs that allows them to survive in harsh conditions and adapt, the Thunder Warriors are simply incredibly strong and resilient.

     Arik Taranis
Ad-hoc Primarch of the Thunder Warriors and current leader of the Star Slayers
  • Actually Pretty Funny: Made a statement about the emperor of mankind's sexual preference and chuckled along with the fellow Thunder Warrior.
  • Bodyguarding a Badass: As he is one of the many who are tasked with protection of Roboute Guilliman, he is one given Roboute is a transhuman genetically designed to be a leader and capable warrior.
  • Establishing Character Moment; Upon meeting Roboute, he stated that the Emperor of Mankind has a love for 'blonde-haired and cream-skinned woman' and even expressed the desire to maul Roboute if he lied about his nature.
  • Four-Star Badass: Serves as one to the Thunder Warrior, not only is he their commander but he is also one of their top fighters.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Wore a broken suit of power armor, a sword and carried a banner when meeting Roboute as it was the few things he had from the Unification Wars.

     Abram Cadmus
Knight-Lord of Raisa and Baron of the Golem Keep. His homeworld becomes one of the first to join the Kingdom of Albion, and is later revealed to be the long-lost resting place of the Everqueen.
  • Anti-Magic: Abram is a Blank, so he's immune to all psychic power, and presence will suppress psychic abilities around them. His nul-aura of just about above average in terms of strength, but has a notably large range, having a radius that can be measured in kilometers, which combined with his Knight battlesuit, makes him extremely devastating to anything that uses warp-sorcery.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: Remains as the Knight-Lord of Raisa for eight consecutive years through the participation of yearly culling of abhumans.
  • Bestiality Is Depraved: Dislikes the goat women he actively butchers, unlike a majority of the knight-lords of his home planet. This doesn't deter him from having his way with a descendant of one with a strong human lineage.
  • Black Knight: Abram is renowned amongst his people for his skill as a warrior, and has an all-black armored suit that he uses to slaughter Beastmen.
  • Blessed with Suck: Was born as a Blank, making him immune to any psychic attacks or the influence of the Warp. This in turn makes him universally hated by everyone on Raisa to the point of no woman being willing to marry him.
  • Blood Knight: Takes a great deal of joy in bombarding and slaughtering the Beastmen with his Knight.
  • Expy: Bore a strong resemblance to Adam Smasher from Cyberpunk 2077 in terms of mentality and personality. Per Word of God, Abram is made using characters like Adam Smasher, Robert Baratheon and Beowulf as a general basis.
  • Freudian Excuse: Hated and scorned by almost everyone on his planet (largely thanks to him being a Blank), Abram decides to embrace the reputation and perception others have towards him.
  • Hated by All: Due to being a Blank, people unconsciously find him repulsive and he is only able to stay king by lieu of being the best warrior of his planet.
  • Has a Type: Inverted, as he does not like full animal-headed beastwomen, but would say yes to the descendant of one with human lineage.
  • Hidden Depths: Displays tactical knowledge for a brute, pointing out to his Beleaguered Assistant Wealhteow that they would have a tactical advantage over Roboute if they hold a feast and have them come down instead of outright war against them. In addition, he is also fully aware of how people scorned him and decides to live up to the reputation.
  • Irony: His cruel and bloodthirsty personality would normally make him the perfect candidate for Chaos corruption, but his status as a powerful Blank means he's immune to Chaos.
  • Jerkass: Even putting aside him being a Blank explaining why most people feel instinctively uncomfortable around him, Abram is such a loud-mouthed, obnoxious and casually bigoted asshat that it is more than understandable why he is Hated by All.
  • Man of Kryptonite: He is this for entire armies that make heavy use of psykers or consist of Warp entities like daemons due to the incredibly wide range of his Blank aura. While his aura isn't strong enough to shut them down completely, they're much weaker just by his presence on the battlefield alone.
  • Large and in Charge: Unlike a majority of his fellow Knight-Barons of Raisa, he is incredibly strong and powerful outside his Knight suit, standing at 7 feet tall for a human (though a good part of it is cybernetics).
  • Mecha: He pilots a Knight battlesuit outfitted with very powerful weapons, and might be the single most deadly Knight pilot that his planet has ever produced.
  • Politically Incorrect Hero: And only in terms of Nominal Hero, too; not only does he have a fervent hatred of abhumans (such as Beastmen), but he is also a casual misogynist as shown in his highly exploitative and derogatory outlook regarding women.
  • Red Baron: Known as the “Baron of Golem Keep” and is well-known for being good at killing people.
  • The Stoic: Tries to be one as he knows killers like him does not talk, they only murder.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Serves as one to the Kingdom of Albion, as he is someone who enjoys to Rape, Pillage, and Burn abhumans.

    Karl Calculatus
A Magos (high-ranking member of the Mechanicum) of the Forge-Empire of Gryphonne (a powerful and de facto independent empire of the Mechanicus located in the southern reaches of the galaxy), and the main tech-priest assigned to Roboute Guilliman's fleet.
  • Badass Teacher: A high ranking members of the Mechanicum cult of Gryphonne IV and is a personal tutor to Petra in regards to technological-related endeavors. Given his rank, he is also a highly capable combatant.
  • The Comically Serious: Serves as one. When Asarnil jokingly stated Roboute have interest in female tech-priests, Karl was more willing to let Roboute take several as his mistresses if it could place Gryphonne IV in the Primarch's good favor.
  • Commonality Connection: Finds one in Asarnil when they discuss the languages unique to their own factions.
  • Creative Sterility: Discussed and surprisingly downplayed; as he explains to Petra, the reason why the Mechanicum shuns novel research and focuses instead on following clear, set parameters created by their ancestors is because the galaxy they live in is such a hellish Crapsack World and they don't have the resources yet to both conduct potentially dangerous research and keep their technological relics running. Karl does muse, though, that he hopes in the future when the galaxy has finally been "civilized," actual research can actually be performed once again. He also tells Petra that he and the other tech-priests of Gryphonne IV don't always follow the scriptures regarding no research to the letter, as evidenced by him showing her how to construct a servo-skull and being excited when she notes she's already coming up with methods that will greatly streamline their creation process without any loss in function.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Played for Laughs; He doesn't particularly like the fact that Roboute supposedly has interest in xeno women and even female tech-priests, but will let him take several if he likes them.
  • Expy: Of Karl Franz from Warhammer Fantasy, to the point where they even have the same first name.
  • The Mentor: He becomes Petra's tutor on all things mechanical.
  • Plasma Cannon: Has one in the form of a plasma gun strapped to the side.

The Imperium Of Man

The Emperor of Mankind/Conan of Cimmeria
Father of the Primarchs, Master of Mankind, Anathema to Chaos, the most powerful psyker to ever live, and former Barbarian Hero (more specifically, he used to be Conan the Barbarian).
  • Absolute Xenophobe: Downplayed in that while cleansing the galaxy of mutants, sorcerers and aliens is part of his grand plan, he's willing to tolerate ones that aren't threats to humanity. It's just that since this is a Warhammer setting, such examples are in short supply.
  • Action Dad: Is naturally one due to his nature as Conan the Barbarian and the creator of the Primarchs.
  • Actually Pretty Funny: Some of his daughters' eccentrics manage to get a laugh out of him, such as when Lofn calls him "a great big fucker" as her first words to him.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Downplayed, but his treatment of the Thunder Warriors bears mention. In canon, he simply had them wiped out by the Custodes and the Dark Angels once they were obsolete. Here, he considered doing that, but decided against it, instead sending them to join Roboute and either be useful or die trying. His reasoning is that not even he has the right to deny a man the chance to fight for the survival of his species.
  • Aura Vision: Through his senses, he was able to discern and see the nature of the Primarchs' soul.
  • Baritone of Strength: Comes with the territory when said individual is a four meter tall giant who can use magic.
  • Barbarian Hero: In his past, he was a brutal barbarian who detested the idea of civilization and preferred solving things with a sword. While he's mostly grown out of these tendencies, it still forms the foundations of his ruthless and direct approach to politics.
  • Big Good: On paper, as he is the leader of the Imperium of Man and is devoted entirely to humanity's safety, prosperity and survival as a species. In practice, his prejudices and methods which Roboute know will only lead to ruin in the future puts this into doubt, and Roboute knows that if worse comes to worse he might well be forced into a fight with his father over their conflicting visions for the future.
  • Bigger Is Better: He has this thought in line, having modified his height up to a freaking four meters tall and considered increasing the size of his armor to accommodate new upgrades and devices at his daughter's suggestion.
  • Been There, Shaped History: He was Alexander the Great, Heracles, and possibly many other historical figures.
  • Can't Take Criticism: Inverted, in a major contrast from his original timeline version, turning him into a downright Reasonable Authority Figure. When Guilliman's letter arrives, it explicitly tells the Emperor that something went horribly wrong with the Primarchs of Roboute's time specifically in how they were raised and particularly in being left to their own traumatized devices. Emps takes this to heart, and not only leaves Terra immediately to find them (helped by the Thirteenth Son giving him exact coordinates), but displays infinitely more warmth and kindness for them and their adoptive families from the get-go than he ever did in the original timeline due to the letter genuinely chastising him to do better.
  • Composite Character: Overlapping with Intercontinuity Crossover, this fan work’s iteration of the Emperor of Mankind is revealed to also be an Alternate Universe version of Conan the Barbarian.
  • Debt Detester: Paid back the gang overlord who raised and ensured Hathor's, his daughter's, safety. This also applies to others who raised his daughters.
  • Fantastic Light Source: Nearly every Eldar in the galaxy, even old and powerful ones like Asarnil, experienced a Mass "Oh, Crap!" moment when the Astronomican came online, paired with being what could only be described as momentarily psychically flashbanged, as seasoned warriors training Roboute's sisters staggered and yelled mid-spar. Asarnil told Roboute that he was point-blank terrified of his father's sheer power, noting that the Emperor had done, by himself, with only a portion of his power, and with a ruined technology base, something that would have taken an entire cabal of the greatest Eldar psykers and their best technology at the height of their empire to even contemplate.
    • As in canon, the constant psychic exertion the Emperor is always undertaking also has a side effect of making his eyes shine like a miniature sun, which prevents almost anyone, including his Primarchs, from getting an actual look at his face. It's intense enough that it's a major power move when the last Everqueen meets him and immediately compliments him on his eyes, revealing that she is psychically gifted enough to see through the glare.
  • Fantastic Racism: He hates mutants with a passion, especially Navigators, whom he's planning to exterminate once he no longer needs them… Thought he admits internally that this wouldn't stop him from having sex with one. He also has mixed feelings in regards to Guilliman allying with the Eldar since he's most familiar with the ones responsible for birthing Slaanesh.
  • The Fog of Ages: A lot of his memory of tens of thousands of years of life has become a bit blurry. For instance, he can only remember his conquests as Alexander in broad strokes, and he can only vaguely recall the details of his Labors as Heracles, such as while he remembers the broad strokes of slaying the Nemean Lion and a desire to atone for some mistake, he can't remember exactly why he was doing it or even who exactly was giving him the tasks.
  • Good Is Not Nice: Had considered the idea of ending the entire Navigator clans because they are inbred, incestuous jerks who will do anything to ensure they stay in power. Not to mention what he had planned for the Thunder Warriors, though given their dying status it was understandable.
  • Good Is Not Dumb: Knowing there is a risk of Roboute Guilliman of being a fraud, he sent the Thunder Warriors in hopes of they could end him. He was also banking on them being properly healed and used by Roboute if he was true.
  • Julius Beethoven da Vinci: He was Conan the Barbarian. He destroyed Atlantis. He fondly remembers a lover from when he was a pharaoh, revels in memories of slaying the Nemean Lion, and smiles about that trick with an enchanted sword in stone. He named his spaceship Bucephalus and jetbike Gringolet after his horses from long ago when he was Alexander the Great and Sir Gawain, was called St. George, once knew an old one-eyed man who named his spear Gungnir, and once served a king who had a fine-looking sword and whose kingdom fell to the bastard spawn of two sorceresses. Pick a notable character in human history or myths, and you have a good chance that it was either him or he at least knew them personally.
  • Large and in Charge: Easily the largest known human and of course he's the "Emperor of Mankind". Malcador even snarks to himself that the Emperor always feels the need to be the literally biggest person in the room and internally mocks the fact that he's apparently decided being "just" three meters tall isn't good enough anymore and is now pushing four meters.
  • Older and Wiser: He considers himself to have become a lot wiser than when he was a simply Barbarian Hero fighting his way across the pre-Bronze Age. How true that is is up for debate.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Him being exposed to the Sword of the God-Emperor (as in, the version of the Emperor from M42 in the prime timeline) physically takes him aback and visibly disturbs him.
  • Papa Wolf: While he is more than willing to let them take care of themselves, hurting his daughters and sons is a good way to end up being wiped from existence. As an example, after learning of Aurelia’s Rape as Backstory, he’s visibly furious and even laments how he wishes he could’ve been to Colchis sooner to not only save Aurelia from such a nightmare, but to make sure her captors suffered horrifically prior to him incinerating their entire planet.
  • Parents as People: A very skewed and complicated nature as the creation of the Primarchs was inspired by the Emperor's personal virtues and traits that he believed were the best. Hathor, for example, was designed to be an ideal leader who doesn't suffer the problem of being arrogant, but this in turn gives her a massive inferiority-superiority complex. This in turn causes the Primarchs to have certain flaws that are transparent to both Roboute and the Emperor himself. Furthermore, while the Emperor can be very affectionate and caring towards his children, the struggles of managing the Imperium also frequently draw his attention away from them along with him having a bad habit of being Innocently Insensitive.
  • Pet the Dog: Has multiple moments of this. One in particular was him deciding to take in Fulgrim's foster parents so they could accompany her.
  • The Phoenix: Not a literal case, obviously, but Asarnil and the Everqueen both compare him to the angelic “fire-birds” of Asuryan, the former head god of the Aeldari pantheon and whose phoenixes were capable of burning through the influence of entire Warp storms… something the Emperor himself does when he leads his fleet to make contact with the Kingdom of Albion on Bastonne.
  • Rage Breaking Point: Narrowly subverted; After learning that the Drukhari and their forebears are directly responsible for the creation of Slaanesh, the Emperor is able to narrowly restrain his outrage to the level of Tranquil Fury… but this still results in virtually everyone aboard the Bucephalus physically reeling as they feel the near-literal waves of seething hatred emitting from him.
  • Really Gets Around: The Emperor Of Mankind was Conan the Barbarian in his youth, and from his inner monologue it's clear that his lustful habits have never really stopped. For example, despite hating mutants like Navigators with a passion, this still wouldn't stop him from having sex with one. Nor the last Everqueen of the Eldar, who he immediately complimented on her, err, vast tracts of land upon meeting and, with some scheming on her end, promptly ravished within days.
  • Skilled, but Naive: Downplayed. By human standards, the Emperor seems like the exact opposite of this trope, being the World's Best Warrior, a seemingly Immortal Ruler, and the Emperor Scientist responsible for creating various races of Super Soldiers. However, he's practically a Naïve Newcomer when it comes to dealing with the galaxy's major factions due to lacking his modern 40K counterpart's accumulated knowledge and experience.
    • He's mostly ignorant about Chaos — he doesn't even know the four Chaos Gods exist, let alone what their names are; he underestimates the Chaos Gods as big dumb monsters that he can easily slay when he finally does learn of their existence; he generally seems to treat daemons as near-mindless wild animals rather than the malicious, intelligent Eldritch Abominations they truly are; and when he encounters his first Daemon World (Barbarus in the aftermath of a successful Chaos ritual), it is clear that he has never fought Chaos on this scale or magnitude before, and makes the rookie mistake of trying to nuke Barbarus from orbit (which the Daemon World naturally no-sells).
    • He's knows even less about the Aeldari — he's unaware that the Eldar are divided into separate factions, apparently having assumed they were all like the Drukhari; he has to be educated about the Eldar pantheon by one of Roboute's Exodite messengers; he is astounded upon learning the Eldar have existed for millions of years after boasting to that same Exodite messenger about how humanity is over 50,000 years old; and the news that Aeldari pleasure cults were responsible for creating the Eye of Terror and causing the Age of Strife came as genuine shock to him.
    • He is genuinely unaware of the subtleties of how he comes across, psychically terrifying every Eldar not old or powerful enough to be able to comprehend his power just by approaching a system, and either amusing or insulting the others. He likely wouldn't care even if he did know, of course, but it's notable that he legitimately has no idea.
    • And in general, Roboute notes to his curious sisters that the Emperor seems to be blissfully unaware when trying to explain concepts that others don't have the same knowledge base or perception.
  • When All You Have Is a Hammer…: Having spent a good chunk of his life and youth killing Xenos and Chaos sorcerers, The Emperor's first and foremost choice of method in dealing with any of that category to kill them with prejudice. This eventually comes to become the basis of the policy of his empire as well.

    Malcador the Sigilite
Closest aide to the Emperor of Mankind and the second strongest psyker in all of the Imperium.
  • Absolute Xenophobe: Much like his close friend and leader, he detests alien species. The latest target for his ire is the crazy metal xeno sorcerer that infiltrated Terra and stole a shipment of geneseed.
  • Bad Boss: Invoked by him in regards to the Twentieth Primarch; he treats her with condescension and casual indifference to help prevent her from gaining an emotional attachment to him and others so that in case they ever turn against the Imperium, she can properly form stratagems to take them down without any hesitation.
  • Badass Teacher: Serves as one to The Hydra and even wants her to act as a safeguard should he become a threat to the Imperium.
  • Beleaguered Assistant: Crossed with Hypercompetent Sidekick, as he finds certain actions of The Emperor of Mankind childishly frustrating, particularly his constant tinkering with biomancy.
  • Boomerang Bigot: Lampshaded at one point when Malcador drily notes that the irony is not lost on him when he rants about how much he despises sorcerers despite technically being one and even being arguably the second best psyker in the Imperium.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Most of his internal monologues consist of him snarking at everyone and everything around him.
  • Devil's Advocate: Serves as one to on behalf of the Emperor when they received a missive from Roboute Guilliman, with him pointing out that that the man might not be who he claims to be and thus he suggests giving him little gifts or at least gifts that provide little strategic benefit or greater advantage over them if he's proven untrue.
  • The Engineer: The well-documented and researched manual describing the maintenance and operation of Knights and Titans he sent to Roboute? He didn't just pull it out of thin air or ask it to be compiled from a bunch of tech-priests — he wrote it himself based on only his own knowledge.
  • Evil Old Folks: The Emperor at one point (without explicitly going into it) notes that Malcador has done far more heinous things than he has.
  • Future Imperfect: Explicitly noted by him, with him briefly grousing about how frustrating he finds it to deal with the Mechanicum of Mars since from his Really 700 Years Old perspective, the Dark Age of Technology relics they worship were essentially the standard appliances of his youth.
  • Honest Advisor: Malcador is probably the only one who can freely question and criticize the Emperors views or decisions, without getting any disdain, other than momentary irritation.
  • Hypercompetent Sidekick: Downplayed, as while the Emperor himself is in many way the only reason why his Imperium could be formed in the first place, Malcador's administrative skills are invaluable as he is the one who handles the writing and recording of documents along with aiding the Emperor in a wide variety of tasks, such as supervising the Astronomicon's construction.
  • Knight in Sour Armor: In spite of being incredibly old (though not as old as the Emperor) and have a dour disposition, Malcador cares for humanity and seeks to ensure the survival of his race. In addition, he tutored the Twentieth Primarch to the best of his ability.
  • Made of Iron: Was able to walk away in a single piece after getting punted through a literal spaceship (though he did grouse about getting some chest pains).
  • Mind over Matter: Possesses telekinetic powers as he is a psyker, using it to levitate a half-defunct anti-grav carrier and had intimidated The Hydra into backing down when she protested too much.
  • Pet the Dog: For all of his Jerkassery, he gifts the Twentieth Primarch with a prosthetic eye (to replace her previously ruined left eye) because it was her birthday.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Share this status with the Emperor of Mankind, with him being probably the only person in the galaxy who can regularly snark at him without getting potentially incinerated.

    The Angel
The prototype basis for the Primarchs and one of the Imperium's greatest killing machines.
  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: In the original timeline, The Angel never bonded with nor even met any of the Primarchs. In this, he is considered their older brother and gets to know several of the Primarchs.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: In the canon series, The Angel's personality can be summed up with “Kill Chaos”. This one can actually learn and has some capacity to be civilized, even if he considered it a low priority to the 'Kill Chaos' mission.
  • Berserk Button: Chaos and anything or anyone related to them can send the usually quiet Lucem into a frenzy. When deployed against the daemons of Barbarus, the Angel literally smashed against Rotigus while screaming out to the Great Unclean One to die repeatedly.
  • Crippling Overspecialization: Was built with the singular purpose of killing evil-doers and worshippers of Chaos, causing him to be often placed in sleep and he doesn't do much else besides that. As the Emperor notes when considering why he went forth with the Primarchs' creation despite The Angel's existence, he needed not a powerful weapon, but a powerful ally.
  • Flawed Prototype: Lucem was the first attempt by the Emperor to see if it was even possible to create a being close to his level to aid in his mission to destroy humanity's enemies. While a success, the Emperor notes that the initial process was flawed and limited, creating not a son or even a warrior, but a weapon. Even so, Lucem's creation taught the Emperor much about the process that would be further refined with the production of geneseed before creating the Primarchs.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Lucem, unlike his siblings, was forged using the technology of the C'tan along with the Emperor's knowledge and essence.
  • Meaningful Name: His name is descended from “lux,” the Latin word for “light.” The Angel emits almost blinding white light during battle that erases Chaos corruption thanks to him containing part of the Emperor’s psychic essence.
  • Named by the Adaptation: In canon, The Angel never had a proper name (or if he does, it has never been revealed). Here, The Emperor reveals his name is "Lucem".
  • Playing with Fire: Able to emit intense psychic flames from his body to destroy his surrounding enemies.
  • Protectorate: When introduced to Atalanta, the Angel starts cuddling to her protectively. They are later seen napping together.
  • The Stoic: Unlike the Primarchs, The Angel is incredibly stoic to the point of being near emotionless. Justified considering his flawed creation process left him with really only the interest to kill evil-doers in general.
  • Winged Humanoid: Why he is called “the Angel,” as he has a huge set of beautiful white wings that enable him to fly. Notably, the feathers on his wings are incredibly strong and sharp, allowing him to use them as makeshift blades in combat.

Primarchs Rescued by the Emperor of Mankind

    In General
  • Decomposite Character: An interesting In-Universe case, with the Emperor having designed each of them to embody and take inspiration from specific periods in his own life.
  • Gender Flip: They are the alternate universe female versions of the Primarchs.
  • Honorary Princess: As one noblewoman of Jedathra points out, because Roboute is crowned king of Jedathra, all the Primarch sisters are now technically princesses. The same can be said about their role in the Imperium of Man, being the daughters of the Emperor of Mankind, they're all technically crown princesses.
  • Point of Divergence: The Emperor taking back some of them earlier than when they were rediscovered in the prime timeline caused said Primarchs to diverge from their canon counterparts. For example, Danu Dorn was never able to fix the Phalanx and Lofn Russ did not manage to properly integrate herself into the Russ Clan before the Emperor arrived, resulting in her lacking the Undying Loyalty and many of the beliefs of the Fenrisian people.
  • Superior Successor: All the Primarchs were designed to become better than their father in some aspect relating to him.
  • Superpower Lottery: Each of the Primarchs possess unique abilities that set them apart among their siblings.
    • The Hydra is a Stealth Expert par excellence, being able to shift and hide her appearance in a manner akin to the Emperor himself.
    • Hathor’s abilities are more or less limited to “just” possessing incredible charisma and an instinctual knowledge & skill in tactics greater than virtually any of her other sisters.
    • Danu Dorn is an incredible genius in terms of crafting and augmenting devices & fortifications. And while it hasn't come up in the story proper, she also possesses an anti-Warp field akin to a Pariah/Blank, being able to shut down Warp incursions by her mere presence.
    • Fulgrim possesses both a potent Healing Factor (even when compared to her other sisters) and is nigh-universally recognized as the World's Most Beautiful Woman due to having supernaturally enchanted good looks. Her time on Chemos has also made her a genius in terms of machinery and mechanics.
    • Madonna is an incredibly powerful psyker, with only the Emperor and Malcador likely being stronger than her. She is also skilled in biomancy, being able to change her appearance however she likes (such as her increasing her breast size out of feeling envious regarding her better endowed sisters). Additionally, she can see into both the past and future with incredible skill and accuracy.
    • Lofn is instinctively an excellent huntress and warrior, and also naturally possesses the Wulfen gene.
    • Athena is inherently a genius technician and inventor, easily able to craft incredible tools and weapons with whatever she has on hand.
    • Vesta is the Ultimate Blacksmith bar none, being able to create devices that seem like magic even under the eyes of her more technologically-oriented sisters. Additionally, she also has both an incredibly powerful Healing Factor and Innate Night Vision.

     The Hydra/Alpharius
One of the Primarchs of the Twentieth Legionas Astartes and (rather obviously) the alternate universe counterpart of Alpharius.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Unlike the other Primarchs, Alpharius was referenced in an omake which is a stark contrast of the other Primarch who first appeared in actual chapters/interludes.
  • Beleaguered Assistant: Alpharius dislike having to handle the paperwork and bureaucratic work that comes as The Spymaster for the Imperium. Justified as she is only seven years old at the time.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Whilst working for Malcador, she decided to prepare her own special hidden outpost and plant her own agents in places she can use.
  • Handicapped Badass: Lost an eye during the invasion of a Daemon on the gene-cult Luna and had been working without an eye for several years. She eventually gets a replacement Bionic Eye thanks to Malcador.
  • Hiding Behind Your Bangs: She has her white hair cover her gouged-out left eye.
  • The Spymaster: Much like her canon counterpart, Alpharius excels in subterfuge, espionage and creating a spy network to keep an eye out on potential enemies.

    Hathor
Primarch of the Sixteenth Legiones Astartes, and the alternate universe counterpart of Horus Lupercal.
  • Action Girl: By the time she was discovered she was already pushing three meters tall and had a muscled build to match, and unlike Aurelia (whose growth was forced by her horrific conditions), she had plenty of fighting experience as a gang member to back it up. She spends much of her time training after being discovered.
  • Brutish Character, Brutish Weapon: As a (former) member of a violent gang, Hathor starts out rather crass and her choices of weapons reflect in this, as seen in her primary weapon being a mace.
  • Commonality Connection: Like her canon self, Hathor bonds with Lofn, the Sixth Primarch, and even connects with the Tenth Primarch, Athena, through sparring matches as they are all warriors at heart.
  • Cool Big Sis: According to Danu, Hathor believes that since she is the oldest sister, she must logically also be the strongest, and so she spends her time sparring with the custodians.
  • Dual Wield: Implied given that she would have used her mace and gun if the Emperor of Mankind decides to use violence on her people.
  • Has a Type: Implied in how, much like Lofn, she apparently prefers "cute-looking boys".
  • Meaningful Name: Was named after the Egyptian goddess of love and family as her soul is that of a bovine-headed woman with a crown of sunlight. Given her nature as a Primarch, this may be a hint to her nature. Hathor also literally translated from ancient Egyptian means  "House of Horus," signifying who her counterpart is from the original universe.
  • A Mother to Her Men: The Emperor explicitly notes the aspect of himself within Hathor represents his ability to lead others and inspire them to a cause. By the time he finds her, she is not only a high-ranking member of a large gang, she has earned their loyalty despite the obvious cutthroat nature of their life and she is reluctant to part from them, only doing so once the Emperor affirms they would be compensated and taking a moment to affirm herself that he will keep his word. This trait has continued on into her leading the Luna Wolves, with her taking it the worst out of her sisters in regards to the hideous losses they take in the Scouring Barbarus.
  • Normal Fish in a Tiny Pond: On her planet surrounded by criminal gangs, Hathor quickly rose to the top of the pack by virtue of her enhanced physical abilities paired with her keen intelligence letting her stomp anyone who tried to challenge her. As she quickly learned sparring with the Custodes of the Emperor, however, those gangs were child's play compared to someone with their own enhancements and actual combat experience and technique.
  • Poirot Speak: It's subtle and primarily restricted to her internal monologues, but whenever she gets frustrated her speech transitions back to her native accent as a "ganger" on Cthonia and her dialogue becomes peppered in Future Slang.
Hathor's Narration: (on her Space Marine Legion) Luna Wolves, apparently they got the name from some people they killed back on Terra's moon, Luna. It was a pretty preem name, she liked it.
  • Spit Take: Hathor has one when learning from Lofn that Madonna uses biomancy to increase her chest size out of Breast Envy.

    Danu Dorn
Primarch of the Seventh Legionas Astartes, and the alternate universe counterpart of Rogal Dorn.
  • Adorably Precocious Child: Acts like one when first meeting her biological father and maker, crawling into his hand of all things.
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: To a lesser extent, not too dissimilar to Petra, Danu was able to detect the flaws in Emperor's plan to improve his power armor and suggests to simply make it bigger.
  • Bigger Is Better: When her father asked for suggestions to solve the problem of how to include a new feature into his power armor that would seemingly need to compromise on another quality to fit, she told him to just make the armor bigger so that it could hold everything.
  • Brutal Honesty: Danu, like her canon counterpart, speaks in a very laconic style. Also like her canon counterpart, this can cross over into Innocently Insensitive territory, such as when she tells the Emperor to find any flaw he can in her and Fulgrim's sketches and scale model of a castle.
  • Determinator: The Emperor of Mankind had Danu's core personality to be that of a worker who will face any problems head-on, working tirelessly to plan and adapt to any problems and work to solve them.
  • Meaningful Name: Danu translates to "swift-flowing" in Celtic, and refers to the Earth-mother goddess in Celtic mythology. Given that her soul is that of a large, immobile bulwark of frost and her intended purpose, it is a fitting name. Not to mention her name of "Danu Dorn" roughly translates to "river fortress" in Celtic, and fortresses found on rivers were often described as ideal places for fortifications in classical warfare.
  • Odd Friendship: Has one with Fulgrim, which reflects canon to some extent.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: A small case with Fulgrim, as while Danu is quiet and of few words, she tends to be the red oni as she forges ahead without caring what others think.
  • Sentimental Homemade Toy: A variant of one, as hers isn't a toy but the fur cloak of her adoptive grandfather.

    Fulgrim
Primarch of the Third Legiones Astartes, and (rather obviously) the alternate universe counterpart of Fulgrim.
  • Armed with Pepper Spray: When she was summoned to greet the Emperor of Mankind, Fulgrim decided to bring a can of "tox spray", intending to spray the aggressor in self-defense. It's noted that the reason she went with the can is because that's considered "more lady-like" than beating unwanted attention black-and-blue with a wrench, according to her foster mother.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Or at least in her case, Big Sister Instinct as Fulgrim has tasked herself to watch over Madonna and Danu as the two are younger than most of their sisters (with the exception of Atalanta, who is still a baby).
  • The Engineer: During her time on Chemos, Fulgrim was able to learn and memorize the machineries and factory equipment at an alarming rate. This is apparent when she and Danu worked together to create a blueprint for a castle.
  • Gender-Blender Name: Despite being female she was named by her parents after Chemos' male deity of the same name. She shows a bit of annoyance about how her foster mother tries to impress on her the values of being a Proper Lady when they gave her a boy's name.
  • Girly Girl with a Tomboy Streak: Plays up her femininity and wearing Terran fashions, but still is interested in mechanics.
  • Ironic Name: Two-fold. Fulgrim states that she was named after the water-bringer Fulgrim, ironic considering Emperor sensed her soul is similar to that of a roaring fire that never stops devouring. Also, the first Gender-Blender Name amongst the female Primarchs belongs to one of the most overly feminine of them.
  • Odd Friendship: She eventually strikes up a friendship with the quiet but brash Danu Dorn, even going as far as making a blueprint for a castle together.
  • Pauper Patches: Due to her size, Fulgrim's clothing were terrible-looking clothes that looked like it had several other patches of clothes sewn on for coverage. This is also a given considering her foster parents were essentially miners and at the lower rungs of their society.
  • The Perfectionist: This was her intended purpose, as the Emperor had planted the desire for knowledge, continued growth and improvement for the sake of it, and never stayed idle or focus on unproductive endeavors. Of course, this makes her very vulnerable to even assumed criticism, which Danu doesn't exactly help with when she tells the Emperor to find any flaw he can in their castle so they can make the next one better.
  • Proper Lady: Well, as "proper" as you can be while on a place like Chemos, but Fulgrim was raised by her foster mother to try and embody more feminine values when applicable. Such as it being more "ladylike" to go around Armed with Pepper Spray than bashing brains in with a wrench.
  • Rags to Riches: After being taken in by her true father, she is enjoying the luxury of her new life, alongside her foster parents that accompanied her.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Is the Blue Oni to her sister, Danu's red, being far more shy than her.
  • Younger Than They Look: As a result of the harsh environment of Chemos, Fulgrim's figure is close to that of a full grown adult woman despite being chronologically four years old.

    Madonna the Magnificent
Primarch of the Fifteenth Legiones Astartes, and the alternate universe counterpart of Magnus the Red.
  • Adorably Precocious Child: A young child roughly around the same age as Danu and just as adorable.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Unlike a majority of her sisters including the deathly pale ones like Kassandra, Madonna has red skin. Justified as she was created during the time where The Emperor was busy researching the ways of sorcery and magic drenched in blood.
  • Breast Envy: She decided to compensate for her A-Cup Angst by subtly using her psychic powers to increase her breast size.
  • Composite Character: The ability to see both the past and the future is typically associated with Kairos Fateweaver. Madonna however doesn't seem to have Kairos' weakness of being incapable of seeing the present.
  • Cute Bookworm: An incredibly smart girl who understood all of the lessons taught to her in under a year, and is a young child no older than preteen.
  • Chuunibyou: She introduces herself as "She who has mastered all [Prospero] had to teach in a single year! Greatest prodigy and sorcerer of Prospero! She who will one day master all psychic arts!" while hyping up her tutors in the same way, and wearing a blindfold that only covers one eye.
  • Dynamic Entry: Thought up the brilliant idea of making fireworks when foreign people comes from the stars as a way to introduce herself and terrify the foes.
  • Hidden Depths: Crossed with Obfuscating Stupidity and Hope Bringer to a certain degree as she puts up a big act to prevent the people of Prospero from worrying about the spiritual parasites that hunts the psykers of her planets and she believes her arrival was meant to herald a turning point for the people of Prospero.
  • Impressive Pyrotechnics: Was able to pull off one of her own as a way to intimidate intruders.
  • Magical Eyes: The Emperor designed Madonna's eyes to allow her see the future and see the past, allowing her to understand lessons at a higher rate in theory and practice. Considering she describes herself as having mastered all of Prospero's education, they seem to be working fine.
  • Magic Staff: Wields one as a child.
  • Meaningful Name: “Madonna” is an Italian word/name that describes a woman worthy of admiration, which is quite fitting as she is a young child who quickly mastered all fields of education on Prospero and is also a brilliant prodigy in the ways of war & sorcery.
  • Mundane Utility: Comes in the form of affecting her physical form, specifically making her chest area larger.

     Lofn
Primarch of the Sixth Legiones Astartes, and the alternate universe counterpart of Leman Russ.
  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: As the Emperor came to take her back just when Lofn was recently discovered by the Russ Clan, she never developed a strong bond with them nor picked up their fervent disdain for psykers.
  • Action Girl: Spend a good time in the wilderness before getting picked up by the Russ Clan and The Emperor of Mankind. When the latter meets her, she's fully decked out in the wargear of the Russ Clan and looks like a natural in it. She was one of the two Primarchs who joined their father in the hunt on Caliban.
  • The Alcoholic: Picked up a taste for alcohol, shared a Fenrisian ale recipe with her genesons, and even shared them with her sisters.
  • Brutal Honesty: A downplayed case as Lofn, after spending much time with the Clan of Russ, has come to the conclusion of seeing things and call them for what they are instead of just listening to the words of others.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: Has this in spades as Lofn enjoys flaunting her strength, showcasing her superior physical prowess to members of the Russ Clan and to the knights of Caliban while hunting the great beast of the very same planet.
  • Big Brother Bully: Downplayed, as Lofn enjoys teasing Madonna but does not have any ill intentions behind it.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Upon learning she had been using plant life known for its poison that could kill a man as an ingredient in her moonshine, she decides to add more to spice up the drink.
  • Gargle Blaster: "Mjod", the version of Fenrisan ale she shares with her sisters and genesons. Since she couldn't find all of the exact ingredients aboard the Bucephalus, she incorporated a type of pink flower she discovered... which, unbeknownst to her, are used to create highly lethal contact-poison, Apparently, Mjod so potent that it was able to knock several Space Wolf Marines unconscious and Hathor describes it as the first drink she's ever had that actually burned her throat.
  • Has a Type: Apparently, Lofn prefers "cute-looking boys".
  • Hidden Depths: She is far more perceptive than she looks (with it being strongly implied that she uses Obfuscating Stupidity to get people to underestimate her so she can manipulate them), such as her noticing Madonna subtly using biomancy to increase her breast size. More seriously, she also seems to be the fastest of the Primarchs in terms of them all acclimating to their future purpose as generals, as seen in her pointing out to Athena & Hathor that death is a natural part of a soldier's life and how that means that she is able to shrug off the deaths of her Astartes soldiers as that is just part of the norm in war (so long as they die nobly and for a good cause, of course).
  • A Mother to Her Men: Has shades of this, what with her boasting of her Legion's accomplishments during the Scouring of Barbarus being presented as akin to a proud mother boasting about her children passing a difficult test at school. Below is how she describes her thoughts to Athena and Hathor when she's sharing her home-brewed Mjod with them:
Lofn: My boys went down [to Barbarus] and fought bravely, and the ones that died went down with weapons in hand and honor intact. That's all I could reasonably ask them to do. [grins boisterously at Hathor] So if you feel like feeling bad over them, do me a favor and drink up instead so we can get to the part where I boast on their behalf for a few hours.
  • Meaningful Name: Lofn is the name of a Norse deity associated with comfort and nurture, something that the Sixth Legionas Astartes Primarch was built for as she is meant to be the one that excels in forging and nurturing the friendships made among fellow warriors.
  • Mundane Utility: Uses her mastery over psychic power to help ferment Mjod, a Ferinsian ale so she can gorge herself on alcoholic beverage.
  • Refuge in Audacity: Her first reaction to seeing her The Emperor was to comment that he's "a great big fucker". Thankfully, instead of infuriating him, this made him burst into laughter.
  • Tell Me How You Fight: Can quickly analyze a opponent based on their fighting style. As an example, she could tell from only two sparring sessions that Morrigan is used to pain and prefers Victoryby Endurance, while Kassandra spends a lot of time in ambient danger.
  • Wild Child: Like her canon counterpart, she lived in the wilderness and lived with the Fenrisian wolves, to the point the Russ Clan would just call her "Wild Girl" since she hadn't yet earned her name.

    Atalanta
Primarch of the First Legionas Astartes, and the alternate universe counterpart of Lion El'Jonson.
  • Accidental Murder: She didn't even mean to nor had any control over whatsoever as her pod had just so happened to crash right into a big Caliban Lion's head and crush its skull.
  • Baby Of The Bunch: Comes with the territory of getting recently picked up by her biological creator, fresh out of the landing pod, though ironically she was the first proper and successful Primarch created.
  • Hunter of Monsters: The aspect of The Emperor she represents was drawn from his memories of fighting and slaying various terrible beasts.
  • Little Big Sister: Atalanta was the first successful creation of the twenty Primarchs, but due to them all being scattered to the Warp and arriving on various planets at different times, Atalanta was plucked from her pod by her father as an infant when no less than ten of her younger sisters have already been found with many already fully-grown adults in body.
  • Meaningful Name: The First was named after a famous heroine and huntswoman from Greek mythology, and the young Primarch was created as the ideal warrior through the Emperor's memories of his life as a hunter of beasts in his distant past.

    Athena
Primarch of the Tenth Legionas Astartes, and the alternate universe counterpart of Ferrus Manus.
  • Action Girl: Spent a good chunk of her life surviving and scrounging off the planet by her lonesome. Not to mention fighting against the various mechanical beast that roamed the land.
  • Adaptational Wimp: Heavily downplayed, but thanks to the Emperor taking her off of Medusa far earlier than in canon, she never suffers the accident that granted her canonical counterpart with a set of formidable, Necrodermis-coated arms that he could turn molten hot whenever he wished.
  • Agony of the Feet: As she heads back to one of her hideouts following her hunt of a scorpion metalbeast, she's briefly forced to run over molten lava... while wearing heavy iron boots. Thankfully, she's able to survive, but the sheer pain she experiences as she loses almost all of the first two layers of skin on her feet is enough to make even a Primarch like her grit her teeth and almost scream.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Athena set up multiple outposts all over Medusa, each one having a different purpose to help her survive on the planet.
  • Commonality Connection: Finds one in Hathor and Lofn as the three enjoy sparring with one another.
  • Genius Bruiser: Athena is just as smart as she is strong, capable of setting up various outposts, cook food and make rations, and create weapons on her own by constant tinkering and experimentation.
  • Good Is Not Dumb: Naturally, Athena chose not to trust an absolute stranger who claims to be her father and does not bring him to one of her many hideouts out of fear of the stranger. She even stated whatever he said could have been well-crafted lies.
  • Hunter of Monsters: Not to the same extent as her canonical counterpart thanks to being rescued by the Emperor much earlier in time, but Athena has showcased her strength and cunning when facing the mechanical beasts of Medusa. Her introductory chapter even features her killing a huge mechanical scorpion just so she can get some higher quality metal for crafting a new sword.
  • Meaningful Name: Named after the Greek goddess of wisdom, craftsmanship and warfare to reflect her purpose - constantly working on the simple and mundane activities that will drive lesser man bored.
  • Misery Builds Character: A more positive case mixed with Taught by Experience; when she's trying to comfort Hathor following the Scouring of Barbarus and her "older sister" is grieving over the loss of many of her Astartes, Athena simply muses aloud that while her own forces also took hideous losses, that's to be expected when fighting a new foe for the first time in a war and the next time they fight a force similar to the Nurglite daemons, her soldiers will know how to properly fight against such a force and will triumph and emerge even stronger than before.
  • Not So Above It All: While she spends most of her time as The Stoic, she cracks a smile when Lofn's reaction to learning that the Mjod she'd brewed contains highly lethal poison is to decide it needs more poison to "give it more of a kick".
  • The Stoic: Much like Danu Dorn, Athena is a quiet sort (though less laconic) and more often than not doesn't show any emotion.

    Vesta
Primarch of the Eighteenth Legionas Astartes, and the alternate universe counterpart of Vulkan.
  • Adaptational Heroism: While the canonical Vulkan was already among the kindest and most benevolent of the Primarchs, he unfortunately also possessed a fervent Fantastic Racism against all xenos and the Aeldari in particular thanks to the Drukhari having regularly raided his homeworld of Nocturne during his youth, most infamously showcased in him burning an innocent Eldar child alive (though to Vulkan's credit, he was at least partially goaded into it by Konrad Curze and later had an appropriately horrified My God, What Have I Done? reaction). Here, thanks to the Drukhari raiders on Nocturne being almost single-handedly culled by the Exodite warrior Ciunas Roimh Ri, Vesta does not develop a hatred of the Aeldari and in fact builds an Odd Friendship with Ciunas, to the point where she specifically has him brought with her both when she meets the Emperor and travels to Bastonne.
  • Adaptational Wimp: Heavily downplayed, but the author has noted that Vesta is not a Perpetual in this story, instead “merely” possessing a ridiculously powerful Healing Factor.
  • Black and Nerdy: She has the coal-black skin of Nocturne’s native human inhabitants, and is also an Ultimate Blacksmith bar none.
  • Innate Night Vision: She possesses a set of volcanic-red eyes that let her see in the dark far better than any of her siblings.
  • Meaningful Name: Named after the Roman goddess of the hearth and family, serving as an allusion to her affectionate nature, habit of seeing even her comrades as family and status as a master craftswoman.
  • Odd Friendship: Forms one with Ciunas Roimh Ri, an Exodite warrior sent to Nocturne by Roboute Guilliman to help protect Vesta.
  • Ultimate Blacksmith: The Emperor hand-crafted her to be one.
  • Who Watches the Watchmen?: Invoked by the Emperor for her in a roundabout case; the Emperor was smart enough to know that his conquest of the galaxy would require immense super-weapons and other powerful tools, but he also feared said super-weapons being abused so as to cause suffering and misery during times of peace (or at least when their use would be ridiculous overkill). As such, he instilled a fervent kindness and empathy into Vesta along with making her the Ultimate Blacksmith, so that she would be able to properly judge when it was the right time to use her dangerous abilities in a way that minimized damaging everyone & everything around her.

Chaos Gods

     In General
The Greater Scope Villains to the setting of Warhammer 40K. The Chaos Gods are four terrifyingly powerful and malicious Warp entities created and empowered by the emotions of sapient life, and wish to ravage the universe for the rest of time in service to their own power. They consist of Khorne (the god of war, rage and hatred), Tzeentch (the god of knowledge, deceit, fate and sorcery), Nurgle (the god of plagues, decay and the endless cycle of life & death) and Slaanesh (the goddess of excess and depravity created by the Fall of the Eldar, and who is the “youngest” of the Ruinous Powers).
  • Adaptational Expansion: A case done by the author, as he has stated that he desires to add more variety to the daemons affiliated with the Chaos Gods.
  • Almighty Idiot: According to the author, prior to the creation of Slaneesh, the Chaos Gods were still dangerous but fairly mindless, being unable to properly direct their power and were capable of being handled relatively easily by other Warp entities such as the Aeldari pantheon thanks to them being created slowly over time by rough amalgamations of different sins and acts of cruelty within the Warp (akin to glaciers being formed by sufficient snowfall under freezing temperatures over long periods of time). However, when the Aeldari Dominion intentionally engaged in “god-forging” when crafting Slannesh so as to make her into a goddess of pleasure to grant them an earthly paradise of revolting decadence, this resulted in Slannesh becoming truly self-aware and indirectly raising the other Chaos Gods into levels of real sentience & sapience, making them exponentially more dangerous and formidable than they were before.
  • Animal Motifs: Each of the Chaos Gods and their daemons are generally associated with specific animals - Khorne with hounds, Nurgle with toads, Tzeentch with birds and Slaanesh with serpents.
  • Arch-Enemy: A multi-layered example.
    • Collectively, they all act as one to the Emperor, Roboute and their assorted allies, with the Ruinous Powers all being (rightfully) seen as the greatest possible threat to them bringing peace and prosperity to the galaxy.
      • Additionally, thanks to her having devoured most of their pantheon and now holding ownership over their afterlife, the Aeldari all hold a special level of hatred for Slaanesh.
    • Within the Chaos Gods themselves, while they all hate each other Khorne & Slaanesh particularly loathe one another, as do Nurgle & Tzeentch.
  • Eldritch Abomination: The Chaos Gods are all each corrupted blends of assorted emotions empowered by conscious thought and feeling, and simply trying to either examine or discern their inner workings runs the risk of going mad.
  • Evil Counterpart: Discussed; When talking with Roboute, Asarnil notes that he and the other Exodite Eldar regard Khrone as the "foulest admirer" of their own War God Khaine. Similarly, Slaanesh and Nurgle are both negatively compared to Isha, and Tzeentch is described as being a dark reflection of their Trickster God Cegorach.
  • Evil Is One Big, Happy Family: Completely averted, with them regarding each other as arch-rivals and near-constantly feuding with one another for both souls and influence in the Materium.
  • The Heartless: Each of the Chaos Gods and their assorted daemons are essentially semi-physical and self-aware amalgamations of the various vices and sins of mortals.
  • Jerkass Gods: The Ruinous Powers are all sadistic monsters whose only desire is to unleash endless suffering and pain upon as many innocent people as possible.
