openCreator's Pet in Digimon Adventure 2020 Anime
The YMMV page of Digimon Adventure: (2020) has Taichi Yagami and Agumon listed as Creator's Pets. The entry is written like this:
"Taichi and Agumon have been accused of becoming this in the reboot. While the main character and his Digimon getting extra focus has always been a part of the franchise, 2020 has been particularly egregious about it, with the duo often robbing other characters of their plotlines and climatic moments and Agumon getting more forms and evolutions before most of the main cast even has their Ultimate level Digimon. The straw that ended up breaking the camel's back for many was the preview for episode 36, which showed that Agumon was gonna get the BlitzGreymon form, another Mega Evolution, before MetalGarurumon has even shown up. Some have started to derisively take to calling the reboot 'Taichi and Agumon's Adventure'."
Okay, I have to ask: is this entry valid or not? Long story short, a Creator's Pet is a character who is loved by the creators and given lots of focus and shilling, but is HATED by the fans. Taichi and Agumon are the main characters and have always been popular amongst Digimon fans, which is why I question the validity of this entry. What do you say?
openTrivia trope clarification
What is the trope for when a celebrity is a known fan of say, a band or music group? I thought it was Big Name Fan, but reading the actual trope page makes it seem like that's a whole different ball of wax.
openHow do I include special characters in page titles? Videogame
Things like quotation marks or colons. I'm trying to create a work page where the title has an apostrophe but if I try to create a page by modifying the URL, special characters aren't allowed. This is the game I want to create a trope page for.
openTrans girl finding a single strand of facial hair: FauxHorrific or real horrific?
To give context to those who don't know the work, Zombie Land Saga is about a group of girls that was brought Back from the Dead to become an Idol Singer group. The youngest of them, Lily, is trans and died before really hitting puberty. While the circumstances of her death can be summed up as a heart attack induced by her stressful child actor job, The Last Straw was finding a single strand of facial on her face. I noticed that last event was the basis of a Faux Horrific entry for the anime.
What little I know about gender dysphoria gives me a few doubts about whether a trans girl seeing a clear sign of male puberty would qualify as Faux Horrific, so I wanted to know what others thought before doing anything about the entry.
openWhat Happened to the Mouse? and Chuck Cunningham Syndrome
Okay, these two are kind of similar to Put on a Bus and I just wanted some clarification on a point differentiating them. Mainly, is the character/thing allowed to return or is it required for these tropes that the character/thing be gone permanently?
I just thought I'd ask since Put On A Bus requires the character's disappearance to have an explanation while the other two don't.
openWhat kind of page do mods and fanmade songs for Friday Night Funkin go into? Videogame
So, I'm the main guy who launched and frequently checks the Friday Night Funkin' page, and as I've been looking around the edit histories, it's become evident that a few tropers would like to add examples of mods/fan created songs to pages like Awesome Music and Nightmare Fuel. I for one think that FNF has a healthy modding community ripe with lots of examples and I was hoping that these would breath new life into the page during the lulls of waiting for the game itself to be updated, so I tried making a fan works page, since you can't add examples of mods to main pages. Unfortunately, I used the page incorrectly (Accidentally. My bad.) and it got cut. I can only assume that we should use the Fanfic Recs option? I'm a little confused on the matter since I wouldn't really consider game mods fanfics.

I love the Lucky 13 episode of RAGU, and was sad to see the recap page was cut. Is it safe to recreate it, and if so, what can I do to prevent it from being cut again afterwards?
openEverythingIsBigInTexas - Trope or Useful Notes
Howdy, long time troper but first time forum-er. Sorry I don't know exactly where to bring up this question, so bringing it here and hoping if this isn't the right space that I can get pointed to a better one.
The Everything is Big in Texas page seems like it may have drifted away from its original purpose. I think that it's meant to be a trope page about exaggerated Texas stereotypes, but it seems to have morphed into a de facto Useful Notes page for the real state of Texas, down to being listed under both the National Stereotypes index and with all the other state Useful Notes pages on the index section for The United States. It seems to me like there should be a separate Useful Notes page for Texas that fits the model of the other states and that much of the current page should probably be migrated over there so that the actual trope can be described more clearly. If it's not meant to be a trope page, though, should it just be listed under Useful Notes?
Edited by ClaystripeopenEdit war on RoleEndingMisdemeanor.Music
Dongwa Chan added the following example to RoleEndingMisdemeanor.Music yesterday:
- This almost happened to Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran. On July 11, 2018, Le Bon was accused by a psychotherapist named Shereen Hariri of groping her while she stood behind him at a April 10, 1995 meet-and-greet at a record store named The Wherehouse. Le Bon denied the accusations, and photographic evidence surfaced revealing that the encounter wouldn't have been possible since there was "no room" for him to grope her, since he was sitting close to the wall. This caused many Duran Duran fans to label Shereen a liar and fraudster.
It was then deleted later that day by thelivingtoad with the edit reason ""almost happening" means it's not an example of this trope."
Today Dongwa Chan re-added it with the edit reason "Its an aversion actually but is still worth noting".
What should be done about the Edit War? Furthermore, should we keep the example, or remove it?
Edited by themayorofsimpletonopenVandalism on Critical Role Pages Web Original
Slyde has removed all information from Awesome.Critical Role Ongoing Arc and Funny.Critical Role Ongoing Arc without an edit reason. Both pages now have an empty folder labeled Episode 125.
openGreen Lantern Ring
I found the page Green Lantern Ring, which appears to be a disambiguation page and has no examples, yet isn't on the Ambiguity Index, is in other indexes meant for actual tropes, has a page quote, laconic, and image links, and doesn't instruct tropers to replace it with a more specific trope.
So, what's the deal? Is it an actual trope, or a disambiguation page?
Edited by ZuxtronopenWeird shippy entries Live Action TV
I'm a bit concerned about Julia 1984's troping of Drake & Josh. Most of it is fine, but there's some select posts that really seem to suggest Shipping Goggles between the two lead characters...who are stepbrothers on a children's show.
They added an entry to Flirty Stepsiblings about them (and I presume they also added the video example), which comes across as cherrypicking a few moments of comedic Homoerotic Subtext, some of which isn't even that (i.e. twisting their friendship breakup or their platonic Operation: Jealousy to sound romantic). I discussed this in video examples and it was inconclusive whether Flirty Stepsiblings includes unintentional subtext (the description suggests that it does but this seems like you have to squint to really see the dynamic).
On its own that'd be enough, but they also included the Flirty Stepsiblings bit on their entry for the show on Opposites Attract (which does not require a romantic relationship).
I already asked about this on the "Is this an example?" thread and one person said it was probably Shipping Goggles, and I agree, but I wanted to get more opinions and also keep an eye out in case this person edits more things from a weirdly-shippy perspective. They seem like a generally decent editor otherwise though.
Edited by mightymewtronopenHow do I know when to put folders?
So the page Not the intended use (Zantetsuken Reverse) is getting quite lengthy, since it has three works listed in there, but I'm not sure if I should add folders or not. When do I know the correct time to put a folder?
openRe-added examples
woerer1 re-added two examples to UnbuiltTrope.Mythology And Religion that was previously deleted for being complaining and also not examples of the trope (ATT thread here). There was no explanation given for the re-adding. This was a few weeks ago but just noticed it now.

openReligiousAndMythologicalThemeNaming and a Halo franchise example with possible spoilers Videogame
My main concern is how to write this so as to avert creating a Self-Fulfilling Spoiler. The Flood in Halo is very clearly named after the Genesis flood narrative, but how would I go about adding this in to the page without creating a Self-Fulfilling Spoiler since in the backstory, the Flood were effectively created as a means to purge the Forerunners, who retaliated by creating an Ark to preserve most species?

open WandaVision RealityEnsues Live Action TV
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Series.WandaVision
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/remarks.php?trope=Series.WandaVision
The troper Alphatater deleted the entire Reality Ensues section for Series.Wanda Vision, writing see Discussion for the edit reason and then posted there reason in the discussion on top of the discussion. Now first of all, I am not sure if that is kosher to do it that way, but I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they thought if anyone disagreed, the discussion was already set up.
Secondly, I know Reality Ensues can be shoed in and I suspect that they are right but their reasoning doesn't sit well with me: "They describe fantastical situations that have never and can never happen in "reality.""
The reason I am bringing this here is, I am still shaky about how to describe the way Reality Ensues works. It has nothing to do with whether or not the situation is fantastical, right?

Hey, I saw that Curse Relay had been cut (on It Follows page specifically). I couldn't find any reason why it would be so I wondered if it was safe to recreate? If so, should it be taken to TLP?
