Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Works with tropable content go on their own pages, not on the pages of related works. Backstroke of the West examples don't belong on Revenge of the Sith. Songs can be troped in the Music/ namespace. Mods can be troped in the VideoGame/ namespace.

Fanfic Recs is a catch-all term that includes any kind of fanwork: comics, fics, games, animations, ect. It just focuses on fanfic because most people write fanfic.
There are guidelines for how to make a FFR page though - see Fanfic Recommendations.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢FanWorks/ is where you can index those pages, not where you collect trope examples.
I meant the Fan Works subpages. BreakTheCutie.Fan Works, for instance.
You said mods and fan music go under the Video Games and Music tabs, I was just adding that some pages have a fanworks folder/tab for those instead.
Edited by Crossover-Enthusiast Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Okay, but BreakTheCutie.Fan Works is in the BreakTheCutie/ namespace. The Fanworks subpage of a trope puts the trope name in the namespace and the media category in the title. You should never be adding examples of tropes in the FanWorks/ namespace. The Fanworks media category will show up in the Main/ namespace or in a trope namespace.

So, I'm the main guy who launched and frequently checks the Friday Night Funkin' page, and as I've been looking around the edit histories, it's become evident that a few tropers would like to add examples of mods/fan created songs to pages like Awesome Music and Nightmare Fuel. I for one think that FNF has a healthy modding community ripe with lots of examples and I was hoping that these would breath new life into the page during the lulls of waiting for the game itself to be updated, so I tried making a fan works page, since you can't add examples of mods to main pages. Unfortunately, I used the page incorrectly (Accidentally. My bad.) and it got cut. I can only assume that we should use the Fanfic Recs option? I'm a little confused on the matter since I wouldn't really consider game mods fanfics.
