@ The Bounty Hunter Wars

  • Ace Pilot: N'dru Suhlak is a hotshot pilot who washed out of the Rebel Alliance for insubordination and makes a living transporting wanted fugitives away from bounty hunters. Prior to the events of Slave Ship, he's eluded or destroyed the ship of very bounty hunter who pursued him.
  • Great Offscreen War: The backdrop of the series is a bloody civil war amongst the Bounty Hunters Guild that the Empire and Xizor are benefitting from. Practically none of the actual conflict is shown. Aside from the bounty hunters from The Empire Strikes Back (several of whom don't take a side), only four guild members (Craddosk, Ob Fortuna, D'harhan, and Gleed Ontondon) appear in the trilogy, and two of them die before the conflict starts.
  • Shoot the Builder: In the Back Story, Gheeta the Hutt hired Emd Grahvess to design a spaceport to receive visitors to Gheeta's territory. Gheeta planned to murder Grahvess once the job was done so that the design would be unique. Grahvess anticipated this betrayal and hired Boba Fett to spirit him away once the job was done, humiliating Gheeta.
  • Sudden Sequel Death Syndrome: Craddosk's treacherous majordomo Ob Fortuna has several POV scenes in the first book, but in the second book, he dies in his first chapter.

@ Shoot the Builder

  • The Tom Clancy book Against All Enemies features Pedro Romero, a construction engineer who reluctantly makes a tunnel under the Mexican border in order to afford a medical operation for one of his children. A group of Islamic terrorists who pay Romero's boss to use the tunnel kill Romero once they see how uncomfortable he is about the idea of what they'll do in America. Romero briefly gains the upper hand by threatening the terrorists with a detonator that can trigger explosives rigged to collapse the tunnel if the authorities find it, but ultimately he's stabbed In the Back.
@ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003): Ninja Tribunal Arc

    Bone Demon
A henchman of the Foot Mystics who was tasked with infiltrating the Lap of the Gods when the Turtles were very young.
  • Dem Bones: He's a distinctly non-human skeleton creature with wings, a tail, and creepy teeth.
  • Starter Villain: Zigzagged. He's the very first villain the Turtles ever fight, but he only appears in a flashback episode more than halfway through the series.

    The Kappa Tengu
A tribe of demons who protect an artifact for the Tengu Shredder.
  • Elemental Shapeshifter: They can turn into water and use this to fight the Turtles and the human Ninja Acolytes.
  • Lizard Folk: They're a dangerous group of carnivorous reptilians.
  • Spikes of Villainy: They serve an evil overlord and have spikes sticking out of their backs and heads.
  • You Have Failed Me: The Heralds harshly rebuke them for failing to protect the artifact and then combine their powers to destroy their trembling subordinates.
@ Silly Will
  • In the Star Wars Legends comic, The Jabba Tape, Jabba the Hutt leaves his greedy nephew Gorgia "the entire holdings in the Bank of Jabba." Gorga starts celebrating, only to be informed that the Bank of Jabba is Jabba's piggy bank.
@ Pet Heir
  • Mchales Navy: Downplayed in McHale and his Jet Set. Parker's aunt only leaves her pet canary $1,000 out of her million-dollar estate, but that's still more than Ensign Parker gets.
@ I Know What You Did Last Summer

@ Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted Adding a sentence to Ensemble Dark Horse.

Vitaly's Broken Ace characterization and triumphant return to glory greatly endear him even to viewers unfamiliar with Cranston's more famous roles.

An idea for Age of Wonders (this is for the Draconian folder).

  • Our Hydras Are Different: The Hydra in Age of Wonders 2 is a monstrous dragon that fights alongside the Draconians. It is capable of attacking enemies in all directions that can strike twice and can regenerate. It is also immune to poison.
  • Magikarp Power: The Hatchling in Age of Wonders 2 and 3 are weak Irregular units that can only attack with one spit. However, upon reaching Elite rank, they Evolve into a random Draconian unit as a sign of maturity.

Here's also a Legends of Runeterra idea.

Hello guys. It's me again. Let's have another try.

A Headscratcher for Who Framed Roger Rabbit:

  • While hiding with Eddie from the Toon Patrol, Roger almost reveals his hiding place by taking a breath while Eddie cleans his dishes in the kitchen's spout as the Toon Patrol checks the apartment. Why does Roger nearly expose himself? He can't drown, as the movie shows that toons can only be killed by laughter or by being dipped by the Dip.

And another Headscratcher for Pulp Fiction:

  • Why doesn't Marcellus Wallace just kill Zed instead of torturing him? Wanting to see Zed suffer for raping him aside, Zed could yell and gloat during his torture how he raped Marcellus and Marcellus' men could hear him. What guarantees Marcellus that his men are totally loyal to him and not going to share the information with other criminals or mobsters? By that point, the other guy who knows about Marcellus' rape is Butch, who has promised to leave the town and not speak about what happened.

P.D.: Michael Katsuro, I'm doing my best to not list complaints as Headscratchers, but I didn't think that pointing out an hypocrisy counted like a complaint.

Okay, but it's still not a headscratcher. Simply saying "this character is a hypocrite" is not a headscratcher, it's just stating something that everybody knew already.

I feel that if Marcellus had doubts about whether his men could be trusted, he wouldn't have them working for him in the first place.

Hi guys. It's me again. Let's have another try.

A Headscratcher for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier:

  • As she dies, why doesn't Karli Morgenthau, in addition to apologize to Captain America for her actions, also informs him about that Sharon Carter is none other than the Power Broker? Something like "I'm sorry, Sam. But Sharon has shot me because is the Power Broker!". As Sam doesn't suspect anything of Sharon right now and Sharon has been pardoned by the government, at least a warning out of human decency towards Sam could have been very useful given Sharon's plans...

P.D.: Michael Katsuro, I don't doubt that Marcellus hires men absolutely loyal to him, but what if eventually one of them becomes disgruntled with him? They could use that information to blackmail him.

  • The Many Deaths of You: There is multiple different ways for Gretel to die in both game. Hansel, their father and an helpful fairy can also die which also results in a game over because the story cannot continue without them. The first game has ten differents deaths, while the second game has fourteen.
  • Moon Logic Puzzle: The solution to cross the swamp doesn't make much sense. If Gretel tries to cross it alone, she's killed by a snake in the middle of the swamp. But if she finds Hansel, they can get past the swamp by having Hansel cross it while Gretel rides on his shoulder. The game doesn't explain why the snake never attacks Hansel.
  • Nightmare Sequence: The second game starts with Gretel having a nightmare where she sees her father and her brother getting killed by trees sprouting on them. Then, she runs away and meet her mother who is about to kill her, only to wake up.
  • Patricide: In the first game, it's possible for Gretel to kill her father. Doing so counts as a game over.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Hansel is almost always smiling, even when he dies.

How's it now?

Star Wars: The Bad Batch

  • Took a Level in Jerkass: After Order 66 kicks in, all the clones get collectively more short-tempered and stand-offish, even outside of combat. Crosshairs likewise becomes almost single-minded in following his orders, unlike the rest of his team who retain their independence.

Hi guys. It's me again. Let's have another try.

A Headscratcher for Sleeping Beauty:

  • During the final battle, when Philis finally does kill Maleficent by throwing his sword into her chest, Maleficent lets out a scream of agony before throwing herself upon Philip to bite him in one last attempt to kill him and drag him along with her off the cliff. The problem is that Philip narrowly avoids being bitten by Maleficent but the cliff goes down along with her immediately and Philip isn't seen running to the cliff's edge. How does Philip avoids falling with Maleficent and safely appears on the cliff's edge along with the Three Fairies? Does he somehow teleported or what?

For What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids? Video Games:

  • The video game adaptation of Made in Abyss looks like it's about adorable heroes searching for their mom. Actually, unlike Bloodborne or even Dark Souls, this game is rated CERO Z (the Japanese equivalent of the ESRB's) AO rating for a good reason.

Is this even a word?

I found the word "flubadubadub" (yes really) which is defined as "a particularly bad hand in cards". Thing is, it's from a fanfic, so I don't know if that's a legit word, and I feel that if it's not, then I should stick some trope on it.
