  • Accel World: White Cosmos—older sister of Black Lotus—is the beloved King of Oscillatory Universe and the real leader of the Acceleration Research Society. One of the first Burst Linkers, Cosmos is determined to survive the eventual destruction of Brain Burst to discover its secrets. For this goal, Cosmos convinces many powerful players to her cause, using the White Legion as a cover while the Society realizes experiments to become more powerful, murdering other players like Saphron Blosson to obtain unique items. When Red Rider started to create a lasting peace that Cosmos saw as stagnation, Cosmos manipulates Lotus to murder Rider, causing Lotus' exile in both the virtual and real world. In the present, Cosmos prepares to tame the unbeatable Tezcatiploca and thanks her enemies for their unwilling help after her success, before kidnapping Silver Crow—Lotus' boyfriend—to confuse him with her affable behaviour before blackmailing him into becoming her spy.

For Magnificent Bastard. I put a emphasis on her traits like she earning the loyalty of strong Burst Linkers and how her Affably Evil attitude makes The Hero himself feel mixed feelings towards her.

So I was planning of adding a new example of Horrible Anime And Manga page about a new anime adaptation of Ex-Arm. But first I you check my example if there's anything to fix on my grammar. Here's my example:

  • The all-CGI anime adaptation of Ex-Arm, a manga about a boy named Akira got his brain transfer to a superweapon by a policewoman. The story and the fight scene looks interesting but the animation looks incredibly janky that it looks like it was an ad for a mobile game. The facial expressions of characters looks unsettling and tedious. Not to mention that none of the staff members have any experience of making an anime.. The trailer on Website/Youtube got 32k dislikes and the show itself got 2.32 rating (Which is even lower then Pupa) on My Anime List. Watch Lost Pause tear it down here.
I was planning to add more details but I want you to check it first.

  • Look-Alike Lovers: When The Cat's wife appears in early comics, she tends to be drawn as a female clone of himself. She as a more distinct appearence in later comics.
  • Losing Your Head: One strip is about The Cat's nephews casually removing The Cat's head from his body during his sleep and playing basketball with it. In the end, they put the head back on The Cat's body and he doesn't seem to have noticed anything weird after he wakes up.
  • Medium Awareness: The Cat and sometime other characters are clearly aware that they are comic book characters.
  • Protagonist Title: The Cat's name appears in the titles of every comics.
  • Shout-Out: Characters and references from other comic books tends to often appear, especially from francophone comics.

For Unreal:

Video Game Cruelty Potential:

  • There's nothing stopping the player from killing the friendly Nali if they want to. Doing so is usually a bad idea, however, as they will often open secret passages and the like to help you.
  • You'll sometimes find trios of Krall huddled together playing some kind of dice game. Shooting six eightball launcher rockets or grenades into the group is a good idea as they can all be taken out at once.

For Rage 2:

  • Mêlée à Trois: The Authority are the main villains, but the game includes several other villainous factions, such as various bandit clans, the Shrouded, and some "independent" mutants who have escaped from Authority control.
  • Too Awesome to Use: The BFG in the Deluxe Edition is just as powerful as one would expect, but only holds a maximum of 7 cells, and cells cost $1000 each. As such, a smart player will save it for things like bosses and Authority Sentries.

For Anarchy Online:

  • Scrappy Mechanic: No vehicles of any type can be used in the Shadowlands. Even worse, there is no In-Universe explanation for why this is the case. The game just tells you that "vehicles do not function here."

Thanks Arivne. Well that was more mistakes than I would have liked, but it's nice to see that none of them were spelling errors. Hopefully that's a good sign, and means that I'll be able to master commas soon.

@ Secret Santa

The story was previously published in an edition of Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine.

  • Sheep in Sheep's Clothing: Alex Sandberg is Erik Bigelow's one-sided rival and main Secret Santa suspect. To quote Erik, "His image was squeaky clean - never gossiped, worked hard, took care of his staff, blah, blah, blah." Sandberg is innocent of sending Erik malicious Secret Santa gifts. The real Secret Santa is trying to get Erik to self-destruct at least partially to make sure that he won't get Sandberg unjustly fired.
  • Stink Snub: Among the insulting Secret Santa gifts Erik gets are a book about overcoming halitosis and extra-strength deodorant.
  • Villain Protagonist: Erik Bigelow is the POV character and focus of the story. He's also a bullying slacker and thief who gets anyone who might be promoted over him fired and sexually harasses his executive assistant Marcy and the associate editor of Antiques Now!
@ ''Loving
  • Bait-and-Switch: In one scene, Raymond comes wildly speeding down the Lovings’ driveway as if he has urgent news to deliver. It turns out Raymond just always drives that way.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Richard and Mildred are seconds away from being sent to jail for violating their probation when their lawyer arrives and claims that they only returned to Virginia because a clerical error made them think they had permission. This is hinted to be a lie, but the judge believes it and lets them go.
@ Dan Shamble, Zombie P.I. Are we allowed to use the future tense I have for the Not Growing Up Sucks entry?
  • Abusive Parents: McGoo's ex-wife Rhonda makes her daughter Alvina sleep on the couch and feed herself. When Alvina is injured in a skateboarding accident, Rhonda insists on taking her to the cheapest clinic possible, causing Alvina to be turned into a vampire thanks to a sketchy blood transfusion. Rhonda then calls her daughter a freak and sends her to the Big Uneasy to live with her two potential fathers.
  • Not Growing Up Sucks: In Tastes Like Chicken, Alvina becoming a vampire at the age of ten is portrayed as sad and serious. She'll spend the rest of her potentially eternal life going through puberty without being able to get older and have kids one day. Also, she'll never have a chance to try out for cheerleading.
@ Beetlejuice
  • The second half of "Say My Name" is an awesome moment for Lydia. At first, it seems like she'll agree to a Deal with the Devil, then she taunts Beetlejuice by repeatedly saying his name twice, then saying a different word that begins with "be." Lydia points out that if any ghost can possess a human, then "What do I need you for?" Instead, Lydia uses the more trustworthy Maitlands to ruin her parents' party and leaves Beetlejuice trapped.

[up][up] There are no serious grammar issues with that example, but it's wrong. Sokka is not an example of the trope. The cited incident is not making a joke but planning a war strategy, and it is not insensitive as Sokka has no reason to know it'll make Aang upset.

If you're explaining something, don't start a new sentence; use a semicolon. You were also missing an "a" between "is" and "more".

That's not quite correct. Whether a semicolon is appropriate or not doesn't depend on whether you're explaining something.

This is hinted to be a lie, but the judge believes it and lets them go.

^ According to its Laconic and Description, Big Damn Heroes is about heroes (or something similar) saving the day in a heroic way. I'm pretty sure it's not meant to include shyster lawyers lying to allow their clients to get away with violating probation.

^ As written, this at least violates Examples Are Not Arguable, and is probably Not an Example.

Are we allowed to use the future tense as I have in the Not Growing Up Sucks entry?

^ Yes, as long as what you're talking about occurs in the future In-Universe.

...then she taunts Beetlejuice by repeatedly saying his name twice, <- comma then saying...Instead, Lydia uses the more trustworthy Banners to ruin her parents' party...

^ If Banners is someone's name, it shouldn't have an apostrophe at the end: that indicates that Banners possesses/owns something, e.g. "parents' party".

Arivne. I won't post the Loving Big Damn Heroes example. However, considering that the "crime" Richard and Mildred are on probation for is entering into a mixed-race marriage, his intervention (whether it was a lie or not) is portrayed as a positive thing. Also, for Beetlejuice the name I meant to put was Banner, not Banners. Which is redundant because I somehow got the characters last names wrong anyway.

@ Beetlejuice Is this sentence correct after I change the name Banner to Maitland?

Instead, Lydia uses the more trustworthy Maitlands to ruin her parents' party and leaves Beetlejuice trapped.
