Character-Specific Pages (CSPs) are created when individual characters have so many trope examples that they can't reasonably be included on a shared page.
The Administrivia Character-Specific Pages policy details the rules that apply to these pages. All Character-Specific Pages must also follow the basic How to Create a Character Page policy, as well as the wiki's more general policies about spoilers and examples.
This cleanup thread handles the following tasks:
- Reviewing and approving new CSP proposals. All new potential CSPs must be reviewed and, if necessary, cleaned up before they're created.
- Agreeing on page names for new CSPs.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a new CSP is created.
- Reviewing existing CSPs if there's a concern that they need cleanup, or if it's believed that the character may no longer qualify for a page.
- Merging existing CSPs into other character pages when necessary.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a CSP is removed/merged.
- Creating, updating and cutting redirects, as necessary, to reflect these splits and merges.
Crowners are not normally required but, where appropriate, can be used to formalise decisions on any of these points.
If a character no longer qualifies for a CSP, it's often more practical to turn the CSP into a redirect than to cut the page entirely. This keeps the page history visible to users, and also helps to steer offsite 'inbound' traffic (search engine results) to the right place. With that in mind, cut requests for CSPs may be declined and referred to this thread if they don't have a clear consensus.
Comments linking back to this thread can be added to CSPs when needed - e.g. to confirm their creation was approved, to warn tropers that a cleanup is in progress, or to note the date and outcome of a more recent review.

Mod update 07 Mar 2024, reflecting new CSP policy, updated again 22 Mar 2024 to mention redirects for removed CSPs
- Other options must have been tried first, like splitting pages into further groups.
- The character's folder is cleaned up beforehand, fixing any Zero-Context Examples and Wall of Text entries and removing any outdated, misused, or non-character tropes.
- A character's folder is at least 6,000 words/40,000 characters (with spaces). Here is a byte counter.note
- The current character page bypasses technical limitations and requires a split up.
- A single character takes up the majority of a page or is disproportionately bigger than other folders.
Splitting a character into their own page is a major change and needs to be run by the community before it is enacted. Even if you believe a character meets these requirements, they should be run through this thread first. Having other tropers take a look can help spot issues you may not notice or believe to be issues.
Per How to Create a Character Page, character-specific pages should only include tropes that describe the character. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly). If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask the Are these Character Tropes? thread.
If you have concerns with a general character page, they have their own separate cleanup thread, as do the self-demonstrating character pages.

Before we even attempt to merge any MCU CSPs, that franchise's character page needs a whole dedicated Byte Count page like One Piece.

re: One Piece. I think it'd make sense to merge all the members that joined on the Grand Line onto a single page, it'd be around the 220k mark with their byte counts added up:
- Chopper
- Robin
- Franky
- Brook
- Jinbe
Then I'd propose keeping the original five members' pages since when added up, they start to just barely hit the limit. And that group of five includes the three biggest pages already, being Luffy Zoro and Sanji.

Alright, I can do that later. In that case, could the Grand Fleet be moved to the base Straw Hats page since without any of the main Straw Hats the two pages combined would be under 200k?
Also I've started an MCU Byte Count here: Marvel Cinematic Universe Full Byte Count. Did not have time for the other pages yet, and what I've gotten done is only a small portion of them. This franchise is going to be quite the effort lol.

I've rounded up the Danganronpa pages to assess. There's some series-wide issues with how these pages are edited that we'll have to account for, like how individual characters have a folder per installment (i.e. Makoto used to have a folder in the first game, second game, and anime). And the biggest pages, Junko and Nagito, may not be proofed for ZCE and the like.

Ok, so I saw this project was going and since I edit them a lot, I figured I would help out and started taking a look at the SW pages. First up Rebel Heroes:
- Rebel Alliance & New Republic Heroes - 105,596
- Luke Skywalker - 121,340
- Leia Organa - 111,574
- Han Solo - 66,476
Probably should merge Han back (total 172,072), but Luke and Leia are both large enough that they would push it way past the 250,000 limit and should remain as CSPs.
- Crew of the Ghost - 159,786
- Ezra Bridger - 50,605
- Sabine Wren - 57,653
Putting both Ezra and Sabine back would push it over 250,000, so Ezra as the smaller page should probably the one merged back to the Ghost page (210,391 total).
Alexsandr Kallus (73,087) can be merged into the Rebel Alliance & New Republic Intelligence (39,676) page. Ahsoka Tano (95,499) can probably be kept - she doesn't really fit anywhere else.
- Crew of the Stinger Mantis - 54,367
- Cal Kestis - 49,703
- Bode Akuna - 47,626
Both Cal and Bode can be merged back under the new policy.
- Resistance Heroes - 78,059
Finn can be merged back, but adding Rey would put it over.
Vader and Palpatine's pages are both over 200,000. Palpatine is actually 264,068, so some work might need to be done on it regardless.
Grand Moff Tarkin (66,115) can be merged with the Death Star Crew (31,525). Thrawn (79,396) should probably be placed on the Imperial Remnant page (102,993) for a total of 182,389.
- The First Order - 192,140
Kylo obviously needs to remain separate. If Snoke is put back on the First Order page, it would be less than 7,000 away from 250,000. That would probably be gone in a couple months and something would need to be split, so I would say keep Snoke as well.
- Jedi Council - 80,062
- Yoda - 60,898
- Mace Windu - 47,492
- Obi-Wan Kenobi - 150,711
Merging Yoda and Mace back would bring the Council page up to 188,452. Kenobi can't be merged back into that and should remain.
Dagan Gera (46,875) can be placed on the Jedi Order High Republic Era page (133,786) for a total of 180,661.
Anakin's page is 222,714 and can't be combined with anything. Padme's is 176,118 and wouldn't fit on either the Republic Senate or Naboo page without pushing them way past 250,000. Darth Maul is at 135,498 and likewise wouldn't fit on any page he would be associated with.
- The Separatist Alliance - 109,323
- Count Dooku - 113,501
- General Grievous - 76,504
- Separatist Military - 185,271
I would argue that both Dooku and Grievous should be kept. Dooku's page is over 100,000 and would be more than half the Separatist page. Grievous would push the Separatist Military page over 250,000, and wouldn't make sense to put on the main Separatist page since he commands the military.
Din Djarin and Grogu could be merged into one page at 134,143. Qi'ra can be merged with Crimson Dawn Syndicate for a total of 103,150. Boba Fett can be merged into the Fett Gotra for a total of 108,061. Asajj Ventress (42,345) should be kept because she doesn't really fit anywhere, but could go to Other Force-Users and Beings. She is grouped under Dathomir currently but I'm not sure that makes much sense given her story.
I think that covers all the CSPs. Any suggestions or alterations to what I've suggested?
Looking at the character page for The Office (US) and the pages for Michael Scott (49,871) and Dwight Schrute (45,749) could feasibly be merged back with The Office (US): Main Characters (96,839).
On-topic, The Office (US): Threat Level Midnight Characters is a measly 13,502 bytes. I assume they only have their own page due to not fitting any of the other pages. Considering the page titles are "Secondary" and "Recurring", there should probably be a reorganisation with some more defining names.

It's been almost a week overdue but let me try and merge The Calamity Trios back to their parent folder and decide on what to do with Andrias and The Core later
Taken another look at Harry Potter:
- Draco Malfoy to merge back into Slytherin (130k total)
- Dolores Umbridge to merge back into Ministry of Magic (163k total)
- Sirius Black to merge back into Marauders (150k total)
- Death Eaters (Inner Circle) to merge back into Death Eaters (220K)

Regarding the sandbox page for All For One, the word count has been lowered to 219,354 characters as per the edit page, and several entries have been trimmed down significantly. Is it possible to remove the edit lock on the main character page with this, as recent events in the manga have ensured there'll be little new entries added regarding All For One.

Actually, that would be a good idea, but let's see if they'll fit into one.
I have checked the Undertale and Deltarune pages for the sake of this thread and I'm confident some merging has to be done.

- Spoiler Characters (103,280 bytes)
- Chara (174,965 bytes)
I propose we remove Frisk, Asgore and Mettaton's pages: merging all three of them into the Main Characters page would make it around 227,312 bytes which, while large, wouldn't be big enough for a split. The remaining characters can keep their pages.
DELTARUNE
- The Three Heroes (39,935 bytes)
- Card Kingdom (76,946 bytes)
- Card Castle Royalty (74,366 bytes)
- Cyber World (70,206 bytes)
- Lightners (78,293 bytes)
It quickly becomes clear only Spamton is big enough to keep his page.
Even if we kept Kris and the SOUL together, the Three Heroes page would still be too small for a split. I propose Kris and Susie are merged back into the Three Heroes page, making it 149,521 bytes, while the SOUL goes to the small Other Characters page, thus making it 75,862 bytes long.
Obviously, Card Castle Royalty should go back to Card Kingdom, making it 149,877 bytes, while Queen should be merged with Cyber World, thus making it 125,160 bytes.
With the Lightners, Noelle and Berdly should be merged into the page, making it around 171,799 bytes.
Anyways but these are just my propositions, what do you guys think?

Just going to bring these pages up to attention since they're not listed in the CSP pages.
Characters.The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You Pro (Rentaro Aijou) and Characters.Ensemble Stars Anzu have very low byte counts for a CSP (30,402 characters and 22,700 characters respectively) so they should be moved to existing pages. For Anzu I think it would make sense to place her in Characters.Ensemble Stars Yumenosaki Academy Faculty, but for Rentarou it would be trickier, but Characters.The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You Others might not be a bad choice.
