I can get behind a rename.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI think there's also a significant overlap with Seen It All.
I vote for option 2 (cut and expand the definition of Quirky Town). The current definition of City Of Weirdos is covered by other tropes.

I vote option 2 to clear out any redundancies.

Gonna be honest, I thought this trope was used a lot more.
My vote is cut City Of Weirdos for being redundant with Seen It All and a couple other tropes, redirect the page to Quirky Town, and most of the examples will probably end up on Quirky Town.
Option 2. The overlaps with Unusually Uninteresting Sight always bugged me.
Cut and redirect as per option two seems a good course. My vote is behind that.
Cut and redirect to Quirky Town.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I think Unusually Uninteresting Sight covers much of what City Of Weirdos wants to do, and I'm not sure it's distinct enough from that to stand on its own. I can support a cut because of this.
I agree with this in addition to what I originally said.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Cut and redirect because of the misusable name and being covered by Unusually Uninteresting Sight.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Bump. 8 votes for cutting so far.
The debate appears to be between redirecting to Quirky Town or Unusually Uninteresting Sight.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Bump. Any more thoughts?
back lolPer the wick check, Option A ("Residents of a city dismiss unusual sights as just part of city life.") is covered by Unusually Uninteresting Sight, no? And Option B ("A city or town full of strange people or happenings.") is Quirky Town? Because if the examples are of both tropes, then I don't see the need to redirect to either. Just cut and move to the appropriate trope.

Do we need a crowner to call this or can we start the clean-up?
I tend to prefer a crowner just to make sure everything is being done officially, but there's been no dissenting opinion.
Well, just so we're all on the same page: Crowner
Hooked!
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportWhile there is overlap Unusually Uninteresting Sight is meant to be examples of straight up ignoring weird things while City Of Weirdos is more treating such instances as normal/casual events, and usually involves commenting on them. The description on that page makes it explicit that it's about unusual things not being commented on at all. If this gets cut the description on Unusually Uninteresting Sight would need to be changed in order to move examples from this page to that one without causing misuse there.

Calling in favor of cut and move examples accordingly, no redirect.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope Report260 wicks to deal with. I'll deal with the subpages.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI’m assuming we should change the description of Quirky Town a bit to include cities, per Tropes Are Flexible?

Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
This trope is about when citizens of a city dismiss unusual sights as just part of city life, due to how diverse and bustling cities tend to be. However, the trope’s name sounds a lot like “city/town full of strange people” (which Quirky Town is; that trope’s description itself incorrectly says this trope is Quirky Town on a larger scale), which has lead to some severe misuse.
Here is are the results of my wick check of 50 wicks, separated into multiple categories:
A) Residents of a city dismiss unusual sights as just part of city life.
1) Men in Black II
2) WolfCop
3) Peter Is the Wolf
4) An American Werewolf in London
5) Faith Testers (I think so?)
6) Power Academy
7) Colour Wheel (I think so?)
8) Mummies Alive!
9) ThePowerpuffGirls.Tropes A To I
10) A City of Weirdos
11) Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
12) Biker Mice from Mars
13) KHR Nuova RP
14) Metro Manners
15) The Newest Challenger
16) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
B) A city or town full of strange people or happenings. (Some of these examples provided little to no context, so I had to figure out if they were examples by looking elsewhere on the work pages or assuming their usage from the context they were used in)
1) Characters.Gravity Falls Adults (both usages)
2) Eureka
3) Cyberpunk 2077
4) The Mighty Ducks
5) MapleStory
6) Doctor Who TVM (The TV Movie)
7) King Falls AM
8) Ninja High School
9) Polyester
10) The Demon Girl Next Door
11) Marîd Audran
12) Characters.Bojack Horseman Hollywoo Residents And Other Stars
13) Shadowchasers: Backwater
14) Funny.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out Of The Shadows
15) Planescape
16) Donut County (both usages)
17) Persona 2
18) Ugly Americans
19) Craig Of The Creek S 2 E 13 Cousin Of The Creek
20) The Flash 2014 S 2 E 5 The Darkness And The Light
21) Jessica Jones (2015)
22) Welcome to Night Vale
23) Uncanny Tales of Linburn
24) The Batman Adventures
25) The Simpsons S 8 E 19 Grade School Confidential
26) Characters.Thirty Rock
27) Characters.Fallen London
28) Ghost World
C) Other/unclear usage.
1) Callahan's Crosstime Saloon
2) The Amazing World of Gumball S2E36 "The Sweaters" (Seems like it might be correct usage, but it might overlap with Only Sane Man too much)
3) Your Family (ZCE, but I though it was notable due to the odd usage)
D) Zero-context examples (although I encounted many other ZC Es, these are just ZC Es that I couldn’t find additional context for on the page)
1) Paradisa
The results are:
Category A: 16/50
Category B 30/50
Category C: 3/50
Category D: 1/50
3 out of 5 wicks were definitely misuse, and that’s not including the status of the wicks that fell under categories C and D.
This trope needs some fixing overall. Here are two proposals for what could be done:
1) Rename the trope to something more descriptive and leave the basic concept of the trope how it is.
2) Cut this trope, change the name and expand the definition of Quirky Town to include any urban area full of unusual characters and sights, and move any of the correct usages of this trope to similar tropes such as Weirdness Censor and Unusually Uninteresting Sight, since there already seems to be some overlap with those tropes anyway.
Thoughts?
