     Main Characters / Tormented Fathers

Rosemary Reed

Voiced by: Danielle McRae (Tormented Fathers)
Voiced by: Haley C. McCarthy (Broken Porcelain)

The main character of Tormented Fathers, who interrogates a sickly old man and breaks into his manor, to find proof that he may be responsible for his daughter Celeste Felton's disappearance.

  • Action Survivor: In shades. While Rosemary won’t engage in combat, if grabbed she will use any defence item she has on hand to attack her captor. She also uses her lighter to light someone on fire, which increases her action hero status.
  • Anti-Hero: Is introduced as a woman on a mission to solve the disappearance of a girl named Celeste Felton, and is willing to do anything to ensure that she can find her, even if it means interrogating a sickly old man and breaking into his mansion in the middle of the night.
  • Beauty Is Never Tarnished: Subverted. Rosemary's trip in the nightmarish Felton Villa results in her being beaten up, falling from a great height, submerged in sewer water, and nearly burned alive.
  • Expy: To Clarice Starling from The Silence of the Lambs. Rosemary's appearance is overtly based on Jodie Foster and she has a near identical outfit to Clarice's check blazer, as well as her hair style.
  • Final Girl: Rosemary is the only person to make it out of the villa alive, while her attackers have all perished.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Rosemary is greatly concerned of the well-being of the missing girl Celeste Felton, and appears to be the only person in the story motivated enough to find the truth of her disappearance. That being said, Rosemary does commit some questionable and outright illegal acts in her quest to find Celeste.
  • The Unreveal: In Tormented Fathers, it is not revealed why Rosemary takes such a strong interest in locating Celeste Felton, an unrelated party, after her disappearance.

Celeste Felton

Voice by: Olivia Steele (Tormented Fathers), Elsie Lovelock (Broken Porcelain)

The adopted daughter of Richard and Arianna Felton, who has gone missing after the strange events inside the Felton Villa. Rosemary takes a strong interest in her disappearance, to the point where she risks her own life to search for Celeste.

  • Creepy Child: Was implied to be this due to Richard Felton's protest that Celeste returned home as 'Jennifer', a dangerous individual who meant to do harm to his family, and whose presence had prompted her father to be rid of her by killing 'Jennifer'. In truth, Richard was brainwashed by Gloria into believing that her daughter was 'Jennifer', who also happened to be the original persona that Richard carried deep inside him, and had wanted to be rid of by any means necessary.
  • The Runaway: Celeste had ran from her parents once before, and did willingly come back home. A shocking incident occurs during the Felton Villa, involving Celeste being sealed in her bedroom with her ailing mother Arianna Felton, which then prompts Celeste to break out of her home and running away for the last time.

Richard Felton

Voiced by: Adam Harrington

The sickly and mysterious old man who owns the Felton Villa, and appears to be hiding a dark secret that may or may not have any relations to the disappearance of his daughter Celeste.

  • Abusive Parents: His father was emotionally abusive to him, and had saw Richard as a 'disappointment'. Richard himself eventually became one upon being brainwashed by the Red Nun into locking up his daughter in her room, and eventually kill her (or so he thought), upon being convinced that she was the source of his inner turmoil.
  • Evil Old Folks: Rosemary certainly seems to believe so, who she suspects to be responsible for the disappearance of his daughter. Her suspicions appears to be well-founded when she finds the corpse of Arianna in her bedroom, who was murdered by her husband. However, Richard is then revealed to be an unwitting accomplice to Gloria and her murderous plan to avenge the Cristo Morente convent, who were victims of the Feltons experiments. It is also revealed that he was unsuccessful in killing Celeste, as he mistook his sick wife for Celeste, who he had also believed to be 'Jennifer'.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He loves his wife and daughter, and is hurt deeply by the disappearance of Celeste. The Red Nun takes advantage of this by turning Richard against his own family, as part of her plan to bring about the demise of the RossoGallo company formerly owed by Richard and Arianna Felton.

Arianna Felton/Gallo

Voiced by: Mallory Echelmeyer

The wife of Richard Felton and the adoptive mother of Celeste Felton.

  • Dead All Along: She was murdered by Richard Felton long before Rosemary had arrived to the Felton Villa.
  • Only Sane Man: Arianna was the only member of the Felton family to fully understand the motivation behind the Red Nun's schemes, and had desperately tried to put a stop to it to no avail.
  • Second Love: She dated Stefano Ashmann before falling in love with Richard, but whatever feelings she had for him were long gone by the time Stefano started tormenting the couple.

Gloria Ashman

Voiced by: Lani Minella

A kindly nurse who cares for Richard and Arianna Felton, and is wary of Rosemary's investigation of the missing daughter Celeste.

  • Bewildering Punishment: It's revealed in the second game that she was sent to the convent due to her older brother not being able to keep his hands off of her.
  • Big Bad: The main villain of Tormented Fathers, who is responsible for the events that would lead to the downfall of Richard Felton and his family within the Felton Villa.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Is introduced as a kindly yet nervous nurse who cares for the Feltons, and also aids a terrified and wounded Rosemary upon finding her trapped in an elevator. Moments later, she drugs Rosemary and reveals herself to be the Red Nun, a survivor of the Cristo Morente convent that had perished in a fire caused by Rosemary, which had occurred within a harvesting facilities owned by the Feltons.
  • The Corrupter: As the Red Nun, she mesmerizes Richard Felton into turning against his family and picking them off one by one.
  • Death Equals Redemption: As she dies, she realizes that she doesn't want to pass on holding hatred in her heart, and forgives Rosemary for burning down the convent, as well as notifying her that Celeste had successfully escaped the Felton House years ago.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: The tragic and horrific demise of the Cristo Morente, a small cloister of Red Nuns, lead to the surviving Gloria to hunt down those responsible for the unjust death of her sisters.
  • Freudian Excuse: Her brother was heavily favored by her parents and used to touch her inappropriately, leading to her having issues even before the traumatic events she suffered later in life.

Stalkers / Tormented Fathers (Major Spoilers)

As a Whole

  • Made of Iron: Thanks to the Phenoxyl, they're a lot tougher than normal humans and have a Healing Factor allowing them to come back from physical trauma which would kill a normal human.
  • Healing Factor: As mentioned. It does work slowly enough that sufficient force can make them unconscious for a bit.

Richard Felton/Jennifer

Voiced by: (Richard) Adam Harrington, (Jennifer) Olivia Steele

  • Kill It with Fire: Richard/Jennifer dies as he is mesmerized and commanded by Gloria into dousing the entire manor with gasoline, herself included, and goes to set a bound Rosemary alight. Rosemary is able to break free in time and toss her lighter towards Richard/Jennifer, setting her on fire and killing her.
  • Hammer and Sickle: Interestingly, both Richard and Jennifer fill these roles, as Richard arms himself with a sickle, and Jennifer uses a nail hammer.
  • Mad Woman In The Attic: Jennifer is introduced in the attic, surrounded by mannequins and dolls she had adored across the room. Upon Rosemary innocently inspecting her possessions, she screams in a rage and gives chase.
  • Raised as the Opposite Gender: Jennifer, as a little girl, was abused into growing up to become a man by her father via drugs and brainwashing, and would soon develop a new identity: Richard Felton. However, the original persona would eventually emerge and try to take back her true identity, causing an inner-struggle that would soon lead to madness.
  • Screaming Woman: Jennifer is constantly shrieking and shouting as she gives chase, which is at odds with her childish and passive nature when she is either not interesting in pursuing Rosemary, or has yet to find her.

Red Nun/Gloria

Voiced by: Lani Minella
  • The Fundamentalist: The Red Nun's quotes highlights how deeply devoted she is to her religion, to the point of fanaticism, and appears to go after Rosemary due to her 'sin' as a woman. In reality, Gloria as the Red Nun is after Rosemary due to her arson to destroy a potential infection had ended up inadvertently killing Gloria's fellow sisters.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Gloria, as the Red Nun, speaks with a raspy and deep voice.
  • Nuns Are Spooky: The Red Nun's attire not only hides her face, but is designed to make her appear almost inhuman due to her disproportionately large cornette.
  • Red Is Violent: The Red Nun wears an appropriately red-coloured habit, and has a deeply bloodthirsty streak as she goes after Rosemary with a ceremonial spear.

     Main Characters / Broken Porcelain

Jennifer "Jen"

Voiced by: Elsie Lovelock
The main character of Broken Porcelain, who is described as "unruly yet reserved", is sent to work for the Ashmann Inn after having been expelled from the Flemmington Girls Institute. During her stay, she encounters strange and horrific events with the Inn, and is forced to use her wits to stay alive as the staff hunts her down.

  • Acquired Poison Immunity: Thanks to being exposed to Phenoxyl 2.0 in the womb, she can interact with the Hive Mind created with it without being absorbed into it and controlled like the others, although she finds the hypnotic loop its trapped in disorienting and confusing.
  • Action Survivor: Jen can fight back using her defence item, this is done when sneaking up on a stalker in which Jen will stab the stalker 3 three times, something Rosemary couldn’t do.
  • And Now for Someone Completely Different: Replaces Rosemary Reed as the player character of Broken Porcelain.
  • Child by Rape: She learns that she's actually Richard/Jennifer Felton's biological daughter, conceived when Stefano Ashmann raped Felton out of revenge for marrying the women he loved.
  • Healing Factor: She can bond with the ulcerative proliferative parasitosis, granting her accelerated tissue generation.
  • I Am Who?: The biological daughter of Jennifer Felton (a.k.a. Richard Felton). She is also a natural-born "queen bee" to the Hive Mind created between all Phenoxyl users and the moths.
  • Psychic Link: As mentioned, thank to having Phenoxyl as part of her biological makeup, she can join the Phenoxyl Hive Mind and influence it without being eaten by it—until she loses to fellow queen Gloria in a mental battle, but even then she manages to break free with Wyman's help and reassumes control, freeing everyone.
  • Troubled Teen: Jen enjoys engaging in rebellious activity. Not to mention she’s been moving around quite a bit.
  • Two Aliases, One Character: She is Celeste Felton, who also takes the name "Madame Svenska" late in life.
  • You're Not My Father: When Stefano mocks Richard, Jennifer fires back that Stefano is not her father and that Richard was a great father regardless of gender.

Lindsay "Linn"

Voiced by: Abigail Turner
A timid violinist with a stutter who works as a maid in the Ashmann Inn, and befriends Jennifer due to their mutual passion for music.

Andrea Massino

Voiced by: Tamara Ryan
The housekeeper of the Ashmann Inn.
  • Expy: Her appearance and demeanour is highly reminiscent of Kathy Bates from Misery.
  • Gossipy Hens: She tells Jennifer about Stefano's bad temper and incestuous proclivities behind his back.
  • Mean Boss: During the hypnotic loop, she's very strict and harsh with Jennifer, and it's unclear if this is her real personality or forced upon her by the people controlling the loops.
  • Missing Time: One of her notes reveals that she's been having incredible migraines, during which she does terrible things she's horrified of and can't understand when she comes to. Like just about everyone who goes nuts in this game, it's due to the Phenoxyl.

Stefano Ashmann

Voiced by: David Dixon
The son of the heads of the aristocratic Ashmann family and a key investor in the Phenoxyl project.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Gloria makes Porcelain hack off his left arm.
  • Brother–Sister Incest: It's rumored that he had a habit of inappropriately touching his younger sister Gloria, which is why she was sent to the convent. He still has twisted feelings toward her years later.
  • Karma Houdini: The player has a choice whether or not to kill him. No matter what you choose, though, Stefano still outlives most of the other characters, including the sister whom he victimized into evil to begin with.
  • Nightmare Face: Porcelain also struck his face during the aforementioned attack, permanently disfiguring him.
  • Parental Favoritism: Since he was his parents' sweetheart, the abovementioned "habit" of his only led to him being sent to a relative up north for a few months.
  • Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: Shown to have both molested his sister Gloria and Richard/Jennifer Felton, and is regarded as a reprehensible, dangerous figure by those who know him.
  • Speech Impediment: Thanks to his disfigured face.

Elisa

Voiced by: Erin Evans-Walker
A maid who works in the Ashmann Inn, who seems acutely aware of strange events occurring within the inn she works in.

Stalkers / Broken Porcelain (Major Spoilers)

As a Whole

  • Hive Mind: Thanks to Phenoxyl 2.0, their minds have been linked together. "Hive" is a particularly appropriate term as Wyman intended for it to be a hierarchy, with his own mind acting as the "queen" and controlling it...until Gloria/Elisa usurped him.
  • Super-Toughness: Since the stalkers are on Phenoxyl just as in the first game, they possess the abilities it grants. However, this game showcases their unnatural resilience more clearly and often.

Andrea Massino

Voiced by: Tamara Ryan
  • Being Tortured Makes You Evil: After the two-year hypnotic loop is broken, an infuriated Andrea attempts to attack Gloria for causing it, only to be shot by Stefano. While she's implied to have had a harsh personality before the loop, it's unlikely that she was violent until being trapped in the loop.
  • Crazy Bird Lady: She started out sane, albeit with a room full of a dozen or so pet birds whom she thought of as her children. However, we don't learn about them until she's already gone psycho.
  • Hate Plague: Becomes infected by the epidemic within the Ashmann Inn, and just like the rest of the staff, she irrationally hunts down Jennifer in a frenzy.
  • Shear Menace: Uses a pair of scissors as her signature weapon when hunting down Jennifer.
  • Yes-Man: She originally presents to Jennifer as having a having a negative opinion of Ashmann in spite of being polite to his face and even talking about his dirty laundry behind his back. When the deception is no longer necessary, however, she acts more like this to him.

Porcelain

Voiced by: Matthew Curtis
A strange robed figure who wears the mask of a porcelain doll, who hides within the walls of the Ashmann Inn, and whistles a distinctive tune.

  • Mad Man In The Attic: Lives within the walls of the Ashmann Inn.
  • Malevolent Masked Man: Wears a cracked porcelain doll mask.
  • Parasite Zombie: He is the physical body of Professor Albert Elias Wyman which was taken over by the Acherontia parasite after a failed group hypnotic session where he attempted to regain control of the parasite as Mother Acherontia. As a result, his mind became "fractured" and trapped within the collective consciousness. Some part of his mind remains in his physical body as he can speak and eat.
  • Sinister Whistling: He is heard whistling throughout the Ashmann Inn, which only adds more to his unsettling presence as he hides in the shadows.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Wyman unwittingly passed his Alzheimer's Disease to Linn when she was part of the Phenoxyl Hive Mind, who developed it in later life and passed away in her early sixties.

Stefano Ashmann

Voiced by: David Dixon
  • Gun Nut: Can attack Jennifer from afar with his revolver, making him a threat when spotted from afar.
  • Hate Plague: Is among the staff members of the Ashmann Inn that appears to be infected by a plague.

Elisa

Voiced by: Erin Evans-Walker
  • Ax-Crazy: Literally. She wields a fire axe to hunt down Jennifer, making her very dangerous up close.
  • Hate Plague: Much like her employees, Elisa is also infected by the plague that has scattered across the Ashmann Inn.

Red Nun

Voiced by: Unknown

  • Collective Identity: There are two Red Nuns; Gloria, and her subordinate Lindsay.
  • He Who Fights Monsters: Everything Gloria wants vengeance for is completely justified. Unfortunately, her path of revenge against the people who experimented on her and her molesting brother is full of Misplaced Retribution that not only brings more people into the tragedy, but makes sure that even the other victims have their lives ruined even after the people who hurt her are long dead. She even refuses to accept that Linn's "betrayal" was beyond her control and a result of the same experimentation she wants vengeance for.
  • Kill It with Fire: She now uses a small flamethrower to burn her victim to ashes
  • Would Hurt a Child: She chases after Jennifer, a fifteen year-old girl, with the full intent to burn her alive with it.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Implied, as she seems to be using a flamethrower to eliminate the infection that had spread across the Ashmann Inn, even if it means burning everyone alive.
