openWork name for simulator series Videogame
I am considering making a page on a series of idle simulators by Hippo Games (that includes USSR Simulator, European Union Simulator, Russia Simulator, and USA Simulator). I don't think the series has an official name though, but would Hippo Games Simulators be an acceptable name (because Country Simulators and similar names don't sound like they'd describe this series precisely)? Or do people have better ideas? By the way, I don't intend to give individual pages to each game as they're very similar to each other, just with a change in setting and some mechanics. Thank you.

Edited by Crossover-EnthusiastopenHow do I make images smaller?
I broke the "image size" rule on Stock Poses and got chewed out... but I don't know how to follow that rule, since I don't know how to make images smaller.
openI know this trope is being Played With... but how?
I found the trope Love Father, Love Son and realized it reminds me of a situation in a work. But I can't figure out how to mention it on the work's page. Here's how the situation is:
Characters A and B are Star-Crossed Lovers; they meet, have about a month together, and have to part.
Then character A meets character C — who just happens to look like a younger version of B. Thus C becomes a Replacement Goldfish to A. They live together for some years.
Then B reappears, wrecking the peace between them. (Also it turns out B had a child and now that child has died.)
After some trouble they all meet to make peace. C says to A they know they've been a Replacement Goldfish, but B says C reminds them of their dead child, too.
...Which one is it? Zig-zagged? Discussed? Something else? It's probs not a subversion, since the fact that B and C weren't related was not made into a big deal in the resolution.
Help please!

So far from what I've seen, he's changed the images on Cruella to Animals, Pirate, Killer Robot, NightmareFuel. The Lord Of The Rings The Fellowship Of The Ring (although I'll admit this one is an improvement), TearJerker.Western Animation, and possibly more (I just don't have the time to look through all their edits right now).
Edited by jandn2014open 90's kid show/movie about zombies Live Action TV
I am trying to remember the name of a tv show, or possibly movie, that I remember seeing as a kid, in the '90s.
The basic premise is a bunch of young children running from zombies, or possibly some sort of possessed, brain parasite type creature.
they hide in their school cafeteria, and then make mannequins to fool the monster out of the mashed potatoes, and/or tater tots.
I originally thought it was an episode from Goosebumps/Are you Afraid of the Dark?/ Tales from the Crypt, but can't seem to ever find the episode in question.
any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance for your time.
openAvoiding an Edit War
Kevjro 7 and I are disagreeing over this entry on WebVideo/MauLer:
- Defeat Means Friendship: He's willing to extend an olive branch to debate or talk with those he feels he wants to respond to, and in cases such as Jay Exci, I Hate Everything, and The Right Opinion, may even become friends with or support them in future endeavors.
I don't believe this to be an example in any case. As written, it has nothing to do with anyone being defeated or losing at all, and the justifying claim in the most recent edit reason that restored this example says "And the reason why these qualify as defeats is because all these people ended up agreeing with MauLer's opinions and became friendly with him," which doesn't make clear if those people lost a debate to him or came around to agreeing with him independently.
Edited by caivuopen Weird ass entry
So this entry was re-added to PanderingToTheBase.Live Action TV by Phelan after being deleted to for being really sexist. Since the entry is awful and kinda is. Can I remove it again. Its really vitrolic and frankly has many weird stuff like "winning with his progressive critics" that read like a weird rant.
- The Twelfth Doctor's era (Series 8-10) was accused of pandering to the feminist side of the fanbase. Showrunner Steven Moffat was attacked in the press and the media for his supposedly sexist writing during the 11th Doctors era. (To the point where he was even driven off of social media.) Many fans and critics feel that he attempted to win favour with his 'progressive' critics throughout the 12th Doctors era as a result. First Moffat brought back the Master (a character he was known to dislike and hadn't used throughout 11's era) as a woman. He also retconned the Master/Doctor relationship to be romantic. Whilst some fans appreciated Michelle Gomez' performance, many argued that she ruined the Master/Doctor dynamic by changing it from a Holmes/Moriaty relationship to a case of Dating Catwoman. Many also felt that the character of Clara (already a very unpopular companion) was given too much focus, at the expense of new Doctor Peter Capaldi. Finally many also pointed to various misandristic remarks made by Clara and Missy and other female characters throughout the shows run as examples of feminist pandering. (Such as Clara repeatedly threatening to and hitting the Doctor.) During 12's era the shows viewers crashed to the absolute lowest they had ever been in the shows 50 year history, whilst the reception from fans and critics alike was mixed at best. (It should be noted that most fans and critics praised Capaldi's performance, but even then many feel that he was sidelined and even emasculated by Moffat's pandering.)
- The Twelfth Doctors final story was also accused of pandering to the more extreme feminist audience when it rewrote the First Doctor into being a straw misogynist, which was not well recieved. (Though many did praise David Bradley's performance nonetheless.)
- The Thirteenth Doctors era has been accused of pandering to the same audience too. It should be noted however that its viewers have been higher than Capaldi's last few seasons. However some have claimed this was more due to a change of timeslot, better advertising and the novelty of a female Doctor. It should be noted that Jodie's first series' viewers did drop dramitically (until they reached record lows for a festive special.) Jodie's performance as the Doctor has also been polarising (to put it mildly.)
- The Twelfth Doctors final story was also accused of pandering to the more extreme feminist audience when it rewrote the First Doctor into being a straw misogynist, which was not well recieved. (Though many did praise David Bradley's performance nonetheless.)

open Audience-Alienating Premise?
I'm finding the concept of Audience-Alienating Premise confusing, as well as some of its examples. Isn't the work supposed to be considered a failure (or at best a "success d'estime") to qualify?
I'm especially concerned about the listing of two Classical Music works as examples, Mahler's Kindertotenlieder and Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, as this is a genre I'm especially familiar with. I can see the premises of both as potentially off-putting, but both works are considered cornerstones of the Classical Music repertoire, and have been now for over a century. They are performed and recorded regularly and nothing resembling unsuccessful. If these examples are considered acceptable, you'd have to include about one-third of the operatic repertoire such as Rigoletto, I Pagliacci, Carmen, Otello, Elektra, Tosca, Madame Butterfly, Wozzeck, Salome, etc. They're all lurid, all successful, and all part of the standard literature. I'm thinking both examples should be deleted (my suspicion is that this is a personal taste issue more than anything else), but I don't want to do so without some feedback and plenty of blessing.
Thanks!

Was on a wiki walk and noticed this entry under Video Games in Word Salad Philosophy:
- Everything by Michael Kirkbride. Everything.
It was added a whopping 5 years ago by Kestrellius with few changes since (it also appears to be the last edit they made before vanishing from the site).
For those not aware of the context Michael Kirkbride is the writer credited with coming up with most of the New Weird aspects of the Elder Scrolls franchise, including some (in)famously dense in-universe philosophical texts.
Edited by Dirtyblue929openPersonal Venting in YMMV? Videogame
Zoic Alcelaphine has been adding a great deal of lengthy edits to the YMMV page of ''Undertale'' that read to me like personal venting rather than proper descriptions and summaries of opinions held by a portion of the fanbase, as the page is meant for. A bunch of them also come off as Darker and Edgier or Ron the Death Eater interpretations. We've had other problems with editors around this time adding such charged entries onto the page for Sans.
From my own experiences with the fanbase, and asking others still in it, these do not seem to be widely-held opinions.
Shivader added the following example of Adaptational Wimp to Justice League Dark: Apokolips War:
I deleted it because a) The trope is for characters who are made less effective in certain adaptations, yet the entry is about an inanimate object; and b) It's absurd to say that an object is not sturdy when the villain had to pour several tons of scorching hot lava on top of it for it to be destroyed.
Shivader re-added the exact same entry in the Headscratchers page, but it reads more like complaining at the way the Green Lantern Corps were portrayed in the movie than a question that he genuinely expects to be answered. Cut?
