Heartwarming Moments, Funny Moments, Moment of Awesome, Awesome Music, Tear Jerker, and Nightmare Fuel subpages tend to attract low-quality and unillustrative images that don't evoke the emotions they should, even if the scenes are examples in context. While it is very easy to pull them, the Image Pickin' forum has trouble finding replacements most of the time, leaving most of these threads to close due to inactivity and take up room while doing so.
In order to free up slots, this thread is designed to handle moments subpages with a single bad image.
This thread is not for:
- Start a thread in the following cases
- Removing an image because you already have an alternative suggestion on hand
- Moments page images that are duplicated somewhere else
- Moments pages with multiple images
- Pages that are on Image Pickin' Special Cases (assuming their status allows it)
- Images that you personally don't find funny/sad/heartwarming/awesome/scary, or can't fully glean the context of, but still have some visual element of the Moment they're supposed to evoke (for example, a messy explosion might still be worth keeping on an Awesome/ page even if you don't understand what's exploding, because of Stuff Blowing Up). Remember that these are YMMV items.
- If the only problem is that it's low-quality, try the quality upgrade thread
first.
- If the problem is that the on-page examples are bad, please see the Moments cleanup thread and the specific Nightmare Fuel cleanup thread.
How it works
- First, have you Failed a Spot Check? Check the page source: maybe a previous thread has explained the reasoning for why it's on the page. You can also go to the Ask for Explanations thread for other opinions.
- Link the page with the image you want examined. Please explain why you think it is a bad image (e.g. JAFAAC, "more funny than scary"). Posts without such reasoning will not be entertained. (You can use the Image Pickin' thread guidelines for reasoning help.) If suggesting multiple pages in a single post, please put them in a bulleted list to ensure that each entry can stand on its own and that they won't be missed when the crowner is made.
- Similar to the Image Suggestion thread, a crowner will be run containing the proposed pulls. Each crowner will run about 15 items at a time and last for 5 days. Please do not add items to a crowner once it's running.
- After 24 hours, anything with 10 or up votes will be pulled.
- After 3 days, anything with 8 or up votes will be pulled.
- After 5 days, anything with a positive ratio of at least 2:1 will be pulled.
- Pulled images will be tagged as such:

I think I'd keep Awesome.The Irate Gamer. It is laid out to look like a big event worth looking forward to.
For the record, questions like "is it fanart" should ideally be answered before going on this thread. Make a solid case. I won't put the Heartwarming.Twitch Plays Pokemon Crystal on the crowner with that argument without a concrete answer to that question.

Fifteen suggestions for the inaugural crowner.
I clarified in the rules that you have to actually link the page you want examined as a courtesy.
Notes: The following did not get added:
- Heartwarming.Turning Red: Premature image, made the mod call to insta-pull based on the rules on Creating a Work Page for an Upcoming Work.
- Funny.Dune 2021: Got moved to Memes.Dune 2021 in its own thread.
- Awesome.The Irate Gamer: No reason given, just a solicitation for opinions. If you want it pulled, (ie. on the crowner) give a solid argument as to why.
- Funny.Tasty Cools: 'Not great' is not an argument either. We have lots of 'not great' pics that are Keep Until Better Image Suggested-level. Please explain why it is actually worth pulling. (I almost didn't put in NightmareFuel.The Walking Dead Telltale for this reason, but 'too subtle' is at least something.)
- Heartwarming.Twitch Plays Pokemon Crystal: As explained above, please confirm it is actually fanart before asking to pull it. We have threads that can help with that as well.

Those are all terrible, either for quality issues or relying on knowing what's going on in the scene.
A lot of the Twitch Plays Pokemon pics are pretty bad, although given the format I'm not certain a lot of them can be fixed. For example, while we did get it working, TearJerker.Twitch Plays Pokemon Emerald is Just a Torchic and a Caption.
TearJerker.South Park Bigger Longer And Uncut, separated from context, is just Kenny hoodless.
Pull. Funny.South Park Bigger Longer And Uncut is also just Cartman making a funny face.

Can I request "help" for Awesome.Wario Ware? It doesn't illustrate anything "awesome" about it.
Single thread? Good idea! Here are two pages from my to-do list:
- NightmareFuel.Dexter New Blood is JAFAAC. From this angle, it's impossible to tell that there's a Mummies at the Dinner Table situation going on. To anyone who hasn't seen this Dexter miniseries all the way through, it just looks like a container with wooden boxes. Can't think of a replacement that wouldn't be incredibly spoilery either.
- Funny.Bean: Poor quality, but is it even clear enough?
The images that have been pulled should probably have a "Closed" note next to their entries on the crowner.
I didn't bother for this one, since it looks like everything is on track to be pulled tomorrow. I'll do it for crowners that have more controversial entries/have more stuff moving up and down.
FWIW, I tried brightening the image on NightmareFuel.From Russia With Love, and it's still not NF-levels of scary. Essentially it's an action shot, not any more NF than a gun being fired at a person.

This crowner covers posts from here to here (inclusive) and may run for up to 5 days, depending on voting.
- Vote UP to pull an image; vote DOWN to keep it on the page.
- After 24 hours, anything with +10 or more will be pulled.
- After 3 days, anything with +8 or more will be pulled.
- After 5 days, any remaining items with a positive ratio of at least 2:1 will be pulled, any items below the 2:1 ratio will be kept, and the crowner will be closed.
- If an item has a (CLOSED) note, there is no need to vote on it; the result has already been decided.
