Heartwarming Moments, Funny Moments, Moment of Awesome, Awesome Music, Tear Jerker, and Nightmare Fuel subpages tend to attract low-quality and unillustrative images that don't evoke the emotions they should, even if the scenes are examples in context. While it is very easy to pull them, the Image Pickin' forum has trouble finding replacements most of the time, leaving most of these threads to close due to inactivity and take up room while doing so.
In order to free up slots, this thread is designed to handle moments subpages with a single bad image.
This thread is not for:
- Start a thread in the following cases
- Removing an image because you already have an alternative suggestion on hand
- Moments page images that are duplicated somewhere else
- Moments pages with multiple images
- Pages that are on Image Pickin' Special Cases (assuming their status allows it)
- Images that you personally don't find funny/sad/heartwarming/awesome/scary, or can't fully glean the context of, but still have some visual element of the Moment they're supposed to evoke (for example, a messy explosion might still be worth keeping on an Awesome/ page even if you don't understand what's exploding, because of Stuff Blowing Up). Remember that these are YMMV items.
- If the only problem is that it's low-quality, try the quality upgrade thread
first.
- If the problem is that the on-page examples are bad, please see the Moments cleanup thread and the specific Nightmare Fuel cleanup thread.
How it works
- First, have you Failed a Spot Check? Check the page source: maybe a previous thread has explained the reasoning for why it's on the page. You can also go to the Ask for Explanations thread for other opinions.
- Link the page with the image you want examined. Please explain why you think it is a bad image (e.g. JAFAAC, "more funny than scary"). Posts without such reasoning will not be entertained. (You can use the Image Pickin' thread guidelines for reasoning help.) If suggesting multiple pages in a single post, please put them in a bulleted list to ensure that each entry can stand on its own and that they won't be missed when the crowner is made.
- Similar to the Image Suggestion thread, a crowner will be run containing the proposed pulls. Each crowner will run about 15 items at a time and last for 5 days. Please do not add items to a crowner once it's running.
- After 24 hours, anything with 10 or up votes will be pulled.
- After 3 days, anything with 8 or up votes will be pulled.
- After 5 days, anything with a positive ratio of at least 2:1 will be pulled.
- Pulled images will be tagged as such:

From the various NightmareFuel.SCP Foundation sub-subpages:
- The size and landscape orientation of NightmareFuel.SCP Foundation SC Ps 7000 To 7999 don’t look great on the TVT layout. (Which sucks, because it’d be an amazing image otherwise, but oh well)
- NightmareFuel.SCP Foundation SC Ps 5000 To 5999 is terrifying in the context of the original article, but I’m not sure if it’s that scary by itself?
- NightmareFuel.SCP Foundation SC Ps 2000 To 2999 is, again, nightmarish in the original context, but I’m not sure if it has the same effect outside of it.
- NightmareFuel.SCP Foundation SC Ps 4000 To 4999 is small and really blurry, but that might intentional in a “scary low-quality photo” way. I don’t know if this affects anything, but this image has been removed from the SCP article it was taken from.
I definitely think we should remove the image on the 7000-7999 subpage, but I want to hear people’s thoughts on the other three.

My opinions:
I think the first one's fine. At least on my mobile, I can still tell it's some sort of ominous gigantic winged creature.
Second one gives a bit of a "party city Halloween decoration" feel, but it's still probably scary enough.
The third one is creepy enough to keep even without context.
The fourth one is the one I'm most iffy about, but it does still have the freaky tone.

I think the nightmare fuel page of Cult of the Lamb gives off to many spoilers. Can I suggest this one as replacement? When I suggested this for tearjerker because Lamb, the last of their kind is going to be sacrificed and crying, people told me it would fit better at nightmare fuel.
Do we replace images if they give too many spoilers or do we keep them regardless of being spoilers or not? Is this even the right place to ask this?

With a quality upgrade I'd defend Awesome.Family Guy. A dorky teenage girl beating a guy up is pretty impressive.
Awesome.The Simpsons is borderline as the implied act of climbing a mountain is pretty cool, but there's surely a better option.
The lonely framing of TearJerker.The Simpsons makes it work for me.
Awesome.Futurama is good to me because a spaceship army shooting lasers is inherently cool.
I think NightmareFuel.Futurama went through a thread and was kept.
I do not expect TearJerker.Futurama to be pulled. Putting aside the absolute infamy of the context (because I wouldn't defend it on that basis alone), Seymour does look old and sad even out of context.

- Awesome.Family Guy: A character delivering a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown to another is awesome enough for me. Quality's really bad, though.
- Awesome.American Dad: This one is bad; why is it a collage?
- Awesome.The Simpsons: Doing a triumphant pose upon summiting a mountain seems quite awesome to me.
- TearJerker.The Simpsons: The imagery of someone sitting alone, in the middle of nowhere, under a starry sky, definitely suggests an atmosphere of pensiveness. I'd certainly prefer it over a more generic illustration of a character crying.
- Awesome.Futurama: I can kind of infer why it would be awesome, but I could take it or leave it.
- Funny.Futurama: Another take-it-or-leave-it. I think Leela's annoyance elevates it a bit for me.
- NightmareFuel.Futurama: Looks freaky enough to me, even with the cartoonish expression.
- TearJerker.Futurama: I feel this one can be excused somewhat on behalf of being an infamous Tear Jerker, though like the Simpsons page above, it manages to suggest sadness in a more abstract sense. Though maybe a collage of him waiting underlined by the current would work better.

Crown Description:
This crowner covers posts from here to here (inclusive) and may run for up to 5 days, depending on voting.
- Vote UP to pull an image; vote DOWN to keep it on the page.
- After 24 hours, anything with +10 or more will be pulled.
- After 3 days, anything with +8 or more will be pulled.
- After 5 days, any remaining items with a positive ratio of at least 2:1 will be pulled, any items below the 2:1 ratio will be kept, and the crowner will be closed.
- If an item has a (CLOSED) note, there is no need to vote on it; the result has already been decided.
- Do not add more items to the crowner once it's running.
Moments sub-subpages are allowed to have images, I believe.
