Ambiguous Name: Spectacled Sadist

Spectacled Sadist is a Love Interest character type and a subtrope of Bastard Boyfriend. A long time ago, it was called Kichiku Megane. At some point (a couple years ago?) this was rejected for being Gratuitous Japanese, and the name picked for the rename was Spectacled Sadist. Since then, people have been trying to use it for "sadists with glasses" (which should go in Four Eyes, Zero Soul). Both the page and the wicks are full of villains with glasses with no romance connection whatsoever. I'll do a wick check in a bit, but the name clearly isn't working. I propose a rename.

An alternate name that was proposed way back when: Sexy Spectacled Sadist. Other suggestions?

Yes, rename. And since it's not that wide a concept, and we have so many good Japanese examples, the Japanese term may not be so bad.

If it's getting misuse that way, then I support the rename.

45 correct-ish, 29 wrong, 5 dunno. Around 10 of the correct ones are about characters in the Kichiku Megane game (which are obviously examples since that's its gimmick). Almost all of the non-Japanese examples are misuse.

I agree that this needs a rename, and Sexy Spectacled Sadist sounds good enough. I'd prefer not to give it a Japanese name.

So, can we go straight to an alt-names crowner, or do we have to do a rename crowner first? Or is Sexy Sepectacled Sadist good enough for everybody?

The name needs to indicative of an abusive relationship and or rapist. A sadist might just be a person who likes overworking his employees or some torture technician who likes what he does but has no sexual overtones...thus you're back to Four Eyes, Zero Soul.

Got everything except for a few wicks that I guess should stay (an old newsletter, the Italian translation project pages, etc). Left Spectacled Sadist as a disambig. I think we're done.
