- Broken Base: Whether Nick or Brent is the luckiest member of the group is an argument for the ages, something Brent even lampshades in "How to Cheat in Mario Party":Brent: You know what's funny whenever we go live? Every time something good happens to you, my chat goes: "Brent's the lucky one, by the way." But then when something good happens to me, I go into your chat they go: "Nick's the lucky one, by the way."
- Catharsis Factor:
- With Nick being barnone the most toxic out of the four, it's very easy for viewers to find him rather annoying and unlikeable. Thus it is incredibly satisfying seeing him get absolutely bodied in his Mario Party Raid Boss session, getting crushed in nearly every single minigame. The fact that he starts from being incredibly confident that he's gonna win the whole thing to losing almost all hope nearly half-way through the game makes it all the better.
- Brent always winning nearly every game of Mario Party has gotten tiresome for many viewers, especially given how the others hardly ever do anything to prevent it, with them harming each other instead. Thus it is immensely satisfying seeing them completely annihilate Brent in his Mario Party Raid Boss session, as they actually work together to take him down and bring him to last place.
- Sophist's Chance Time in Mario Party 3's Woody Woods is simply amazing to watch, where he secures himself the victory by stealing all of Brent's Stars near the end of the game. This is made even more pleasing when you remember how Brent previously screwed over Sophist in Mario Party 3's Deep Bloober Sea, where the former snatched the latter's guaranteed victory at the last second by forcing him to give 2 of his Stars to Vernias on the final turn and getting the 2 Bonus Stars he needed to overtake Sophist in 1st place.
- Crosses the Line Twice: Artwork of Sophist peeing on Vernias? Rather gross. Said art being caused by Vernias misinterpreting a drawing of Sophist attacking him with magic in their first Gartic Phone video? Pretty humorous. Nick, Brent, and Sophist making even worse and more direct variants, with Sophist's drawing◊ depicting him decapitating Vernias with an excessive stream of urine? Absolutely hilarious!
- Ensemble Dark Horse: Nearly everyone seems to be rather fond of the editors, even going as far as to call them their favorite members of the crew.
- Friendly Fandoms: It's not uncommon for fans of the Party Crashers to also be fans of other collaborative Let's Play group channels consisting of Vitriolic Best Buds playing friendship-stressing video games (mainly ones created by Nintendo). This is especially true with Sidequest Party and the Underdogs, as Vernias is also a member of the former, while Nick has collaborated with Poppt1 of the latter on multiple occasions, with the most viewed video uploaded by any of the Party Crashers members being "Smash but everyone is their canon size...", which has the both of them playing together.
- Fountain of Memes: It's no surprise that Vernias has bar none the most memorable and iconic memes out of the group, to the point of having not one, but two dedicated tiers at the top of the Party Crashers Running Gag tier list:Sophist: I think the rest of the kingdoms get B-tier or something, they're not nearly as powerful.
Nick: Yeah, compared to the Vern Nation, I'm in shambles. - Harsher in Hindsight: The many jokes the group made about the "Vern Virus" became this to an extent when after the group played together at the Sidequest house, all of them except Sophist ended up getting COVID-19, as noted in their "How to Cheat in Mario Party". Thankfully, it wasn't too serious for any of them, with the editor even attempting make a bit of humor from it:Brent: (after Vernias rolls a 1) The Vern Virus is real.
Editor: Everyone but Eevee proceeded to get sick via the Rona. Vern Virus is canon. - Hilarious in Hindsight:
- When Sophist states that he has went at least 3rd nearly every time when deciding the turn order in "Mario Party brings out the worst in you...", Brent decides to put in a montage of Sophist going at least 2nd for most of his past Mario Party videos, disproving Sophist's statement. However, as time has went on, Sophist would continue to get only 3rd at best in the turn order for many more Mario Party sessions to come, effectively turning Sophist's statement as fact and making Brent's montage very outdated.
- When Vernias beats Brent by 2% on the minigame Trace Race in "Don't EVER betray me in Mario Party", the former states that he's really good at drawing, which is Blatant Lie nowadays if their Skribbl.io and Gartic Phone videos are anything to go by.
- Nick Slut-Shaming Brent and Sophist in "Mario Party but there's only ONE star" for playing as Donkey Kong and Rosalina instead of their usuals mains Luigi and Wario respectively is already pretty humorous, but it's made even funnier when Nick decides to play as Boo instead of Daisy for Mario Party 6's Snowflake Lake 1 month later.
- When Vernias finds a Hidden Block in Brent's Mario Party Raid Boss session, he clarifies to Nick that he can't get a Star from it because Bonus Stars are off. Cut to "Mario Party but we need to TIE", where Nick receives a Star from a Hidden Block on the final turn, despite the fact that Bonus Stars were off.
- When Brent makes a Fortnite reference in "Mario Party but we're TOXIC at night...", the editor asks when the group will make a video on the game. Guess what game they decide to play for the first Party Crashers video of 2024.
- In "Mario Party but it's Simon Says 2", Guest-Star Party Member Peanut ponders out loud if Birdo has teeth, much to Vernias' disgust. Later in 2024, the Ace Attorney Author Avatars on Nick's channel would be replaced by animations of the group's Mario Party Superstars mains imitating the original characters' sprite animations, with Birdo's angry sprite giving her the sharp teeth of Larry Butz.
- While playing the minigame Toad's Bandstand in "We played EVERY minigame in Mario Party 2", Brent requests the editor to put Vernias' face◊ on the flowers in the background, to which the editor declines. Brent would then make this edit himself while playing the same minigame in "Mario Party 2 Bowser Land is WAY too toxic..." three days later.
- Memetic Mutation:
- Vernias' face◊, which the other Party Crashers (especially Brent) and fans have edited to hell and back.
- "GUYS, LOOK!" *Penguin Image* "IT'S TCNICK3!"Explanation
- "WAAAAAAAARIO TIIIIME!!!" / "YOU PICK WAAAAAAAARIO!!!"Explanation
- To the surprise of absolutely nobody, this is a meme. *Insert Mr. Krabs face*
- "Perfect Rotation!"Explanation
- "I CAST THUNDER SPELL!"Explanation
- "I SEE!"Explanation
- "Daisy!" "Daisy!" "dAiSy!"Explanation
- Never Live It Down: There are a number of fans that still haven't forgiven Sophist for being the main cause of Vernias' constant torment in their earlier Mario Party sessions, therefore not feeling any sympathy for his misfortune surpassing Vernias nowadays.
- Rooting for the Empire: If any viewers are watching a Mario Party session uploaded by their least favorite member of the group, either because they're the only one to upload the video or to simply check out their edit of the game, expect them to not be rooting for the original uploader.
- Shocking Moments:
- Sophist of all people winning and tying with Brent on the minigame Mecha Marathon in "Mario Party but we must DESTROY GOD", much to the surprise of everybody, including Sophist himself.
- Nick receiving a Star from a Hidden Block on the final turn in "Mario Party but we need to TIE", despite the fact that not only were Bonus Stars off, but he was also in 1st place when he got it, effectively debunking the notion that players can't get Stars from Hidden Blocks if they're in 1st place or if Bonus Stars are off in Mario Party Superstars.
- Signature Scene:
- Nick betraying Brent on the minigame Honeycomb Havoc despite promising not to in "Don't EVER betray me in Mario Party", cementing Nick's status as the most toxic member of the group:Nick: The Kingdom of Skill fucking hates me. Ever since I did Brent dirty in that one Honeycomb Havoc, they have never forgiven me.
- Sophist's Star steal on the final turn in "Sometimes Mario Party wants you to win... or lose...", where he selects the Random option when visiting the Boo and ends up stealing a Star from Vernias while he was already in dead last, leading to #JusticeForVernias trending on Twitch and solidifying Vernias' status as the group's Butt-Monkey.
- Vernias' dominating performance on Paddle Battle while repeatedly shouting "Perfect Rotation" in "The WORST Board in Mario Party 1..." has gone down as one of the most iconic moments in any of their Mario Party videos, to the point where a fan made a trap song remix of the moment, which has since become an Ascended Meme, being used by the Party Crashers themselves in subsequent videos with the original creator's permission.
- Nick's Chance Time in "Mario Party but it's 1 vs 3...", where he tries aiming for himself in stealing a Star. He's initially excited when he manages to get himself on the roulette... only to start screaming in despair immediately afterward upon realizing that the arrow was pointing away from him, resulting in him losing a Star rather than gaining one.
- Sophist casting Thunder Spell on an innocent child in "I Made A Game Designed To Be Bad" has become the most iconic moment from any of the group's collabs with Magic the Noah. Sophist's subsequent defense of it being an "optimal play" would cement his status as the group's Token Evil Teammate.
- Nick betraying Brent on the minigame Honeycomb Havoc despite promising not to in "Don't EVER betray me in Mario Party", cementing Nick's status as the most toxic member of the group:
- Spiritual Successor: The Party Crashers could very well be this for The Runaway Guys, as they are also a group consisting of No Indoor Voice Vitriolic Best Buds playing friendship-stressing video games (mainly Mario Party). Some fans hoped for a Crossover between the two groups before the latter's indefinite hiatus.
- Spoiled by the Format: The thumbnail◊ for "The Impossible Mario Party Nuzlocke" saying 74/100 is meant to be a Schrödinger's Gun, but the video's runtime being shorter than average ultimately ends up clueing-in that Vernias isn't going to win, ensuring that the 74/100 estimate is Not Hyperbole.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Some viewers were disappointed that Nick and Vernias didn't invite Brent and Sophist to watch the 47 Fan Animations in "These animations went too far...", similar to what they did in "SOMEONE MADE A RAP ABOUT US?!".
- Unintentional Uncanny Valley: In 2024, the Ace Attorney Author Avatars on Nick's channel were replaced by animations of the group's Mario Party Superstars mains imitating the original sprites. This includes Birdo being used in place of Larry Butz for Vernias, but her mouth is drawn to resemble actual mouth movements, which looks incredibly out-of-place on Birdo, especially with her angry sprite giving her spiked teeth.
