• All-Star Cast:
  • The Japanese cast includes Nobunaga Shimazaki, Marina Inoue, Ayana Taketatsu, Aya Endo, Takehito Koyasu, Ryōtarō Okiayu, Shizuka Itō, Joji Nakata, Maaya Uchida, Minori Chihara, and Hitomi Nabatame. The Movie brought in Sora Amamiya, and the visual novels include Kana Hanazawa, Ayane Sakura and Rie Takahashi. Talent was not wasted here.
  • The English dub has the likes of Jessie James Grelle, Michelle Rojas, Bryn Apprill, Tia Ballard, Alexis Tipton, Brittney Karbowski, Jad Saxton, Katelyn Barr, Felecia Angelle, J. Michael Tatum, Caitlin Glass, Christopher Wehkamp Trina Nishimura, Leah Clark, Jamie Marchi, and Monica Rial.
• B-Team Sequel: AIC produced the first season. With producers Jiyū Ōgi and Chiaki Kurokane leaving AIC to help start Production IMS, all of the animation work was done there for the second season and the film. After Production IMS shuttered in October 2018, the third and fourth seasons were respectively produced by J.C. Staff and Geek Toys.
• Creator Couple:
  • Michelle Rojas (Tohka's VA in the dub) was married to Justin Rojas, who also worked for Funimation at the time. They have since divorced.
  • Ditto for Jad Saxton (Miku's English VA), who was married to Nick Haley at the time of recording the series.
• Directed by Cast Member: In the Latin Spanish dub of the fourth season, Andrés García is Elliot Baldwin Woodman's voice actor as well as the ADR director.
• The Other Darrin: From the English dub of Season 3 onwards:
  • Christopher Wehkamp replaces Alex Organ as the Big Bad Isaac Ray Peram Westcott because the latter retired and moved on to directing theater.
  • John Swasey takes over the voice of Elliot Woodman after Ed Blaylock's passing.
  • Cynthia Cranz takes over as Fraxinus crew member Shiizaki following Maeghan Albach's passing.
  • Clifford Chapin voices Hiroto Tonomachi instead of Nick Haley.

• Schedule Slip: The 4th season was intended to begin in October 2021, as part of the franchise's 10th anniversary, but ultimately got delayed to April 2022 (the COVID-19 pandemic likely being a big factor).
• She Also Did: The character designs were done by tsunako of Neptunia fame.
• Star-Making Role:
  • In America, Tohka was this for Michelle Rojas, who began accepting more work and would be taken more seriously as a voice actress.
  • Even though he is far from an unknown name (having previously voiced Haruka Nanase from Free!), Nobunaga Shimazaki's role as Shido solidified him into one of the most prolific male voice actors of this generation.
• Studio Hop: The anime's first season was produced by AIC, followed by Production IMS for the second season, by J.C. Staff for the third season, and by Geek Toys for the fourth season.
• What Could Have Been: According to a Twitter post from Tachibana, a Sylph or a Bandit/Thief design was considered for Yamai before settling on Bondage.
• Word of God:
  • Kurumi was the first character conceived by Tachibana, all the way back when he was in high school.
  • According to an interview with the author in the May 2020 Dragon Magazine, Kazamachi Yamai's deceased twin was Yayoi.
• You Sound Familiar: Kentaro Tone, Mikimoto's voice actor, had a minor role as Origami's father in the third season.
