She made the effort to go about the day as they do to understand them in Chapter 43, and joined Tsubaki and several other team leaders to confront Hinagiku after discovering the latter cheated several younger classmates out of their food.
Series.Clarissa Explains It All: Clarissa and Ferguson are capable of getting along, and in the last episode he admits he'll miss her when she leaves for New York. He even hugs her.
Fanfic.Ancienverse: Bonnie and Rotom constantly bicker...except for when they want to troll Keoni and show they care about each other. They also easily work together during the attack on the Aether Foundation. Rotom later admits that Bonnie is his best friend.Hits hard when Bonnie gets enraged that Lusamine killed Rotom.
Characters.The Amazing Race 29: The two argued a lot during the first three legs, but Leg 4 went on to show the two's actual affection towards one another, with Scott actively encouraging Brooke during the challenge, and the two even hugging upon her finishing, with him saying how proud he was of her. It should be noted from that leg onward, while the two still fought occasionally, it was nowhere near as bad as the start.
Heartwarming.Dragon Age Origins Awakening: If a male Human Noble Warden married Anora in Origins, then at the end of Awakening one of the epilogue slides will state that when the Warden finally returns to her side, she's glad to see him. Considering her usually stuffy nature, it's a rather nice Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other moment.Conversely, if a female Human Noble Warden married Alistair, he has a fun cameo at the end of the DLC's prologue which clearly demonstrates how strong and affectionate their bond continues to be. The epilogue slide says that when she returns to court, her husband is beside himself with joy to have her back. There's also extra adorable scenes with a female non-Noble Warden that convinced Alistair to keep her as his mistress. Wardens who romanced Zevran or Leliana are treated to letters from their beloved.
Pantheon.Quirks: Was absolutely happy to find Daisy in the Pantheon, although Daisy chewed him out for not telling about the Pantheon sooner. Then, kissed him and stated how happy she was to see him. It turns out it goes deeper than that. While most gods are unable to understand what he's saying, or even singing, Daisy actually has no problem hearing it for what it is.
Literature.About A Boy: Adaptational Alternate Ending: Owing to the film's new chronological setting, its ending is completely different from the book's. To wit: instead of an altercation at a police station and a Take That! at Joni Mitchell, Marcus uses the Concert Climax to sing his mother's favorite song in the hopes of cheering her up, with Will as last-second back-up.
Recap.Dragons Riders Of Berk S 4 E 4 Bad Moon Rising: Ruffnut spends the whole episode worried about her brother and pissed at Snotlout for tricking him. Snotlout would come to regret getting on her bad side.

Characters.Young Sheldon The Cooper Family: While she is regularly annoyed by Sheldon, she actually starts to miss him when he is sent to live with a couple so he can attend a school for gifted students, and is overjoyed when he comes home. She also slept in Sheldon's bed when he had to spend several nights in the hospital following a surgery. Also, despite her desire to make fun of Sheldon, she will comfort him in times when he is genuinely upset.
DannyPhantom.Tropes A To G: The Fenton family. Danny is often embarrassed by his family but he genuinely loves them and will always protect them just like they will do for him. The same goes for Jazz, who is very vocal about how much she dislikes her parents' occupation but will not hesitate to defend them against others.
Film.Mr And Mrs Smith 2005: Quite possibly the most non-standard use of this trope, as the Smiths both have this moment as they're pointing guns at each other.
Characters.God Of War Series Atreus: He gets annoyed by Kratos' utter lack of parenting skills, but when the chips are down, he does love his father and acts to save him if he's in danger, much like Kratos does for him.He gets in the way of one of Baldur's attacks against Kratos (which results in Baldur hitting the mistletoe arrowhead, and in Ragnarok he's utterly horrified that the Jotnar prophecies involve Kratos dying and he immediately loses his enthusiasm about fulfilling them.
Characters.Rascal Does Not Dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai: A dark version of this. Rio is usually constantly snarky towards Sakuta and half of the time she is not explaining her stuff, she will be insulting him but in The Movie, once she finds out Sakuta will have to die in a car accident to save Shoko, she throws away her usual behaviour and tells him she doesn't want this and cries Tears of Joy once she sees the next day that he survived.
Webcomic.At Arms Length: Ally and Calpurnia spend most of "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" at each other's throats. But after a mother-daughter heart-to-heart, they hug it out.
WesternAnimation.Breadwinners: T-Midi is a jerk who acts like he hates SwaySway and Buhdeuce, but in "TNT-Midi", he cares about them. In "Bro's Night Out", "A Crustmas Story", "Birthday Bread" and "Slumber Party of Horror", he is shown to actually like hanging around them.
Characters.Kono Suba Kazuma Satou: A downplayed example with Aqua. Despite their grievances with each other, they still have a strange attachment. This is best exemplified with him clinging onto Aqua after being rescued from female orcs, as well as ramming the door of her room upon hearing her crying on their first night at his newly-acquired mansion to see if she was okay. Or him drop-kicking a Demon King General in the face as soon as she causes Aqua to cry.This is essentially the entire crux of Volume 15, with Kazuma's actions demonstrating just how much Aqua actually means to him (as a friend).
Characters.The Virgin Suicides: When the girls run out to protect their tree from being cut down, the boys note that this was one of the few times they seen Mr. Lisbon hold Mrs. Lisbon in affection. Likewise, Mrs. Lisbon tells the yard workers that her girls have a right to stand there.
Series.Chef 1993: Happens often in the first two seasons. Gareth and Janice will spend 90% of an average episode bickering but there's usually at least one scene that ends with them embracing. "The Big Cheese" opens with Janice mad at Gareth for not spending enough time with her, but she eases up on him after he serves her a delicious salmon mousse.
Characters.Sing Calatonia: After Rosita and Gunter's amazing performance at the film's end, Norman runs onstage and kisses his wife. It's not out of nowhere like most examples, since most of his dialogue consists of small (sleepy) compliments to Rosita. In the second movie, Norman feels sad for Rosita when she isn't able to jump off the diving board during rehearsal. He also gets offended when Jimmy rudely asks if the "mommy pig" can do her part.
Characters.Breath Of Death VII: Even though Sara dragged him into adventure against his own will, he does show concern to her, and over the time he had grown to reappreciate her feelings.
Heartwarming.RWBY: After leaving Yang to have some privacy, it's kind of nice to see Weiss and Blake go off to have coffee/tea together, cementing the fact that, in spite of their earlier issues, the two of them really are friends.
Series.Drake And Josh: As antagonistic as she could be to Drake and Josh, Megan's multiple Pet the Dog moments show she cares about her brothers, such as when she saves them from counterfeiters, won't let anyone else hurt them, and kisses them when they defend her from her cheating boyfriend.And it works the other way around too. Drake and Josh may not like Megan's pranks, but they do care about her and don't want anyone to hurt her.
Awesome.The Proud Family: When Suga Mama learns that her older sister Spice is conning Oscar in "Penny Potter", she prevents her escape with the money to prevent her son from being hurt by the scam. Then Sista Spice tries to move Suga Mama with her Mind over Matter powers, which Suga Mama then turns against her by reflecting it back with a garbage can lid.
Characters.Law And Order: Despite their many disagreements, it’s occasionally shown how much he and Jack genuinely respect one another. Two examples are when Jack publicly thanked Cutter for giving him a What the Hell, Hero? for overcharging a group of defendants, and when Cutter bluffed a corrupt governor, who had declared a personal vendetta against Jack, into resigning.
Film.My Girl: Thomas J and Vada snipe at each other plenty of times, but do ultimately share a kiss.
Series.Treinta Y Un Minutos: The cast's interaction to each other usually vary from abrasive to abusive, but in the episode "Bodoque Deprimido", Tulio's attempts to cheer up his friend include giving him his own new and expensive clothes, paying off Bodoque's enormous gambling debts out of his own pocket and allowing him to be take his place as the show's anchor. In the end, the cast of the show ends up quitting TV altogether to go work with Bodoque on the radio
Characters.Care Bears Adventures In Care A Lot: He is the one who most exalts himself with Oopsy's clumsiness, but at the end of the day he really loves him and considers him a good friend.
Film.Ride Or Die: It's made clear from the beginning that Rei has always been in love with Nanae, but Nanae takes much longer to work out her feelings, only realizing she loves Rei near the end of the film.
VideoGame.Lollipop Chainsaw: Despite all the weird shit that happens to them, and however often Nick complains about the situation, Juliet and Nick really do care deeply about each other.
Characters.Kollok 1991: She will rarely show it, but she eventually comes to care for the other members of the Radar as much as Rachel.
Characters.Chaos Wars: When Rin is devastated with finding out that she is a tool for the Egg of the World and that everything was her fault, Hyōma comforts her, saying that he "never doubted her."
Anime.Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight: Despite the characters all vying with each other to be Top Star, and their not too pleasant interactions with each other at times, they all band together to try and keep Karen and Hikari from getting into trouble after both girls miss the school curfew and don't return for the night. When the two girls do return in the morning, the rest of the class is there to greet them and welcome them back. They initially come off as the most impersonal school in -Re LIVE-, but the Edels from Siegfeld care a lot about each other. The event "Siegfeld General Hospital High-Class Prescription" is a good example of this.
Recap.Big Finish Doctor Who TLSS 3 E 1 The Elite: After spending the beginning of the story grumbling about having Tegan back, the Doctor proves his affection by vehemently defending her to the Elite, saying that she is much smarter than she appears and doesn't need a lot of big words to prove it.
Characters.Dawsons Creek: With his father, surprisingly. Most of the time, his father is a Jerkass who hates him but they share a few heartwarming scenes in a couple of episodes.
Characters.Conversations With A Cryptid: Bakugou may be a bully and has a history of cruelty to Izuku, but he does help Izuku when the latter is in genuine emotional distress by sending Todoroki to help him. While Bakugou is still a massive asshole, he can be kind in his belligerent way.After figuring out Hisashi's true identity, he promises to rescue Izuku from his father.
Literature.Star Wars Razors Edge: For all of their bickering, Leia trusts Han implicitly and completely, which Han himself is startled to realize (she's glad the Millennium Falcon is going to be their backup ship, because she trusts Chewbacca, and by implication his partner). She never once considers that he might be the Imperial mole; among the Gamble crew, only General Willard himself rates the same consideration.
Literature.Deltora Quest: Lief and Jasmine. Also, Barda and Lindal. Jasmine and Doom have these moments, as well, but not in a romantic way.
Manga.Wolf Girl And Black Prince: Kyouya has shown on numerous occasions he's capable of being nice to Erika and does genuinely care for her.

Characters.My Vampire Older Sister And Zombie Little Sister: While she and Erika often get into fights, they nevertheless still see each other as siblings. When they first tried to escape the Bright Cross, Ayumi protected Erika during the day, even though it led to both of them being recaptured.

Recap.Monsters At Work S 1 E 5 The Cover Up: When the group are finally confronted by Mike and Sulley for their cover-up, both Tylor and Duncan try to defend each other’s actions and take the blame themselves.
Characters.Finding Nemo: Nemo loves his father dearly, but he is often annoyed and exasperated by his overprotective behavior (and in the sequel when he tells Dory to just forget everything). He even tells him that he hates him early in the first movie when he gets too fed up with Marlin's overprotectiveness. However, it is clearly established that they do in fact love each other despite this.
Characters.Ozzie The Vampire: Kimmy has a few moments like this regarding Ozzie, like when she threatens a demon that thinks she summoned them to fight Ozzie and not just Alastor, or when she was younger and gave Ozzie her lunches when she didn't have anything to eat.
Recap.Phineas And Ferb Summer Belongs To You: One of the few times that Candace does not spend the full episode trying to bust her brothers. When they finally make it back to the backyard in time, she ends up hugging them, and even expresses her love for them during her verse of the title song.
Fanfic.Custody Battle: Subverted at the end of Chapter Eleven, when Yuuto confesses that he missed his brother and feels glad to see him alive, only for Hisashi to immediately betray him.

Cloud: You thought of that while you were waiting, didn't you? Tifa: It's like, why didn't Hojo pick this floor for his f**k dungeon, right? Haha...haha...ha, let's go down? Cloud: Uh...yes, let's. Tifa: That's what she saaaaaiiii— (cut to Barret, Aerith, and Red XIII on the ground floor)
Characters.Blood Blockade Battlefront: Platonically with Leo. He tends to bully him a lot, but in the Season 2 opener, he starts crying when he thinks that he got Leo killed.
Fanfic.The Many Dates Of Danny Fenton: As much as Katie's family fears her, after Danny yelled at her, they looked visibly concerned and tried to comfort her. In the alternate ending where Danny chooses Penny Proud, Suga Mama's stated to have passed away about six months after they got married. Despite how tense their relationship was, Oscar gave his mother a touching eulogy at her funeral.
Characters.Merlin The Character: Merlin and his relationship with Arthur. They may insult each other like no tomorrow, but deep down, they really do love and care for each other and are willing to sacrifice themselves to protect the other.
Literature.Pictures Of Hollis Woods: Hollis has this moment in-universe when she notices in her drawing that the Old Man really does care about Steven despite how they argue.
Series.Shine A Light: Wally and Les are always bickering, but when Les plans to leave him in "Two's a Crowd", Wally gets genuinely upset.
Heartwarming.The Powerpuff Girls 1998: The relationship that the girls have with each other as sisters in itself is just heartwarming. In spite of all the times when they squabble and disagree with each other, it's clear that they love each other very much and will stay by each others' side no matter what the situation. In a time when media is saturated with antagonistic and sour sibling relationships, it's good to see a genuine loving bond between our three heroes.
Characters.Dot And The Kangaroo: Although they seem to be always arguing and snarking towards each other, in Dot Goes to Hollywood, Grumble-Bones plants a kiss on Dozey-Face's lips while doing impersonations of certain Hollywood film stars.
Characters.Vampire The Masquerade Coteries Of New York: Downplayed, but present. Throughout the game Sophie is distant and only becomes warm when trying to manipulate you, but at the end of the game when she thinks you've betrayed her she becomes so upset about it that she doesn't even hear when Arturo explains you're just a puppet.
Characters.Pasila: Implied to be the reason why he stays with his wife even though she's rarely happy with anything he does and keeps punishing him for his perceived wrongdoings: as he states himself, they're a "pair of angry old seniors, nobody else wants us". There might be other underlying reasons for it though, like having her be related to him to begin with so that "the money stays in the family and nobody else gets it!".
Manga.Kodocha: Sana and Akito regularly throw insults and tease each other, which is the only reason why Sana still refers to Akito as her "arch-enemy" even after becoming friends. The minute either of them is in distress, they'll drop all of the malice towards each other, swiftly come to their aid, and comfort one another without a second thought.
Characters.Donkey Kong Island: While he doesn't show it too often, K. Rool does have a soft spot for DK and his friends.
Characters.Hey Ash Whatcha Playin: In the episode about Limbo, Anthony thinks this sorta thing would ensue when Ash asks whether he would look for her if she was stuck in a dark forest. When he asks whether she would come looking for him, she shoots down the possibility completely.
Series.Passions: Luis and Sheridan. They constantly fight, argue and bicker so much yet they clearly adore each other at the same time and just can't stop thinking about each other or stay away from each other.Also Sam and Ivy. Despite Sam's proclamations that he absolutely cannot stand Ivy and wants nothing to do with her, it is clear (especially later on) that he does and always loved Ivy, even though he was married to Grace for a long time. Julian and Eve. They appeared to have hated each other, but there is no denying that Julian in fact did love Eve and always had a strong affection for her. In fact, it could be argued that Eve is the only woman whom Julian ever truly loved. Julian and Ivy get this. After a decades-long loveless marriage that they were forced into by their parents, they actually reconcile for a while when they get fed up with Sam and Eve, realizing that they accept each other despite, or perhaps because of their numerous faults.
Characters.Rune Factory 3: For as much Karina and Hazel bicker and argue, when Karina, in one of her requests, asks to tend to the shop all by herself Hazel accepts needing only a small push from Karina. When the day looks like it's going to end on a low note Hazel appears and makes sure to give pointers on shopkeeping for Karina as well.
Heartwarming.The Police: Stewart Copeland's review of their reunion tour's opening night, where after a scathing review of their first concert in twenty years he mentions that they "fall into each other’s arms laughing hysterically" before the encore. Considering how legendary they are for in-fighting, it really shows that after thirty years the three of them are still close friends.
DarthWiki.Watchtower Grotto: Forrest and Mikami have occasional moments like this, in which Mikami stops hiding how much he cares about Forrest.

Characters.The Amazing Race Asia 4: Their interactions in the last leg. While most of the season had been spent with Hilda complaining about her leg and other physical limitations, their last few scenes where rather sweet and showed what their relationship was really like.
SandBox.GUAG Robot War Division Support Command: Loyalty to Cosmos: Medium to High. A cold but sensitive pragmatist, she has a strong sense of loyalty to the IS Academy and a strong sense of discipline. However, she also has a soft spot where her class is concerned and remains loyal so long as Cosmos protects them, which she has promised to do. She may be cynical, but she knows a true promise where she sees it. In return, Cosmos appointed her the School guardian overseeing the Division's academy which trains trainee pilots.
Fanfic.The Fiery Blush Of Dawn: Naruko and Sasuke have moments like these in their younger years, despite them always getting on each other's nerves.
Recap.The Interns S 10 E 8: When Sophia decides to quit internship — and leave his life — due to being too much of a burden to her uncle, Kupitman actually stops her at the last moment when she almost leaves his house (being ready to depart immediately), and states that he overreacted, but never actually meant this — he just needs time to get used to living with someone else.
Characters.Robotboy: He shows rare instances of caring about Tommy, like when he realized he left him behind in "Mancation", yet he failed in check if Tommy got into the car and not the bear from before, until it was too late.
Heartwarming.WWENXT: During the early months of the feud between Big Cass & Enzo Amore and Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy in 2016, it looked like Carmella was going to turn on Enzo and Cass and side with their opponents. After all, she seemed to appreciate Blake and Murphy flirting with her and had historically shown to be repeatedly annoyed by Enzo's antics. However, the second Blake and Murphy insulted "her boys," she immediately turned on them and made it clear that for all their stupidity, she will ALWAYS be loyal to Enzo and Big Cass.Her embracing Enzo after he got the pin in their Six Person Mixed Tag Match. Again, considering she normally treats him as an annoyance at best, it's a great Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other moment.
Literature.Harrow The Ninth: Subverted with Mercymorn and Augustine; there are several times when it seems like they've finally reconciled, only for it to be revealed later as little more than a temporary truce. Double subverted after they've killed the Emperor, where Augustine admits that while they have hated each other too long to stop, he's glad to have her by his side as they work towards undoing necromancy and finally bringing peace to the galaxy. They embrace. Cue the Emperor reconstituting himself, killing Mercy and spattering Augustine with her organs.
Fanfic.Fuzzboy Total Pokemon Series: A platonic example with Izaya and Sage. The two often spend a majority of their time snarking at one another and get into small fights quite a bit, but the two clearly care a lot about each other, since the former sees the latter as his closest friend, while the latter actually sees the former as a Parental Substitute.
Characters.Verdant Moon Azure Wind Officers Academy: Anger Born of Worry: His reaction to seeing Dimitri’s one on one fight against one of The White Dragons and the reckless tactics used to defeat it?
