The Walking Dead is a Zombie Apocalypse media franchise. It started with a comic book created by Robert Kirkman, followed by a TV series and its spinoffs, novels, video games, and various other media.
Comic Books
- The Walking Dead (2003-2019): The original black and white Image Comics series.
- The Walking Dead Heres Negan (2016): A one-shot detailing the backstory of one of the series' big bads.
- The Walking Dead Negan Lives (2020): A one-shot produced after the conclusion of the series intended to aid struggling comic book shops during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, depicting Negan’s further adventures after the conclusion of his Story Arc.
- The Walking Dead Clementine Lives: (2021): A one-shot which aims to bridge the story between Telltale's game series and an upcoming comic series.
- The Walking Dead: Rick Grimes 2000 (2021): A five issue comic following a "what-if" ending of issue #75 from the original comic, which has Rick Grimes fight the ones responsible for the zombie outbreak.
- The Walking Dead Clementine (2022): A sequel to the Telltale's game series following Clementine after she leaves Ericson's Boarding School to seek new adventures, finding new friends and falling in love.

- The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor: The tragic backstory of one of the series' big bads.
- The Walking Dead: The Road To Woodbury: A young woman lives under the despotic reign of the Governor.
- The Walking Dead Fall Of The Governor: The siege of the prison, and the downfall of the Governor, as witnessed by him and the previous novel's protagonist.
- The Walking Dead Descent: Lilly Caul, the protagonist of the two previous novels, is put in charge of Woodbury after the prison assault. After encountering and inviting a group led by an enigmatic and affable priest, Lilly realizes that she made a serious mistake as the priest's dark secret is revealed and the town starts tearing up from the inside.
- The Walking Dead Invasion: Following Woodbury's destruction, Lilly's group lives in the sewers designed by Bob Stookey (another recurring character from the previous books). Lilly wants Woodbury back, but once Jeremiah hears the news of some Woodbury citizens surviving the town devastation, he decides to finish them off with a secret weapon.
- The Walking Dead Search And Destroy: One year after Jeremiah's sect is dealt with (and four years after the outbreak), Woodbury is being restored under Lilly's leadership, but one day a brutal military faction attacks the town, destroys it and kills almost everyone before kidnapping children, prompting Lilly and her group to go on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge.
- The Walking Dead Return To Woodbury: Taking place one year after the previous novel, Lilly, now living in a different place with her old and new friends, wants to take the town of Woodbury back and restore it (again), but yet another enemy faction gets in her way.
- The Walking Dead Typhoon: Unlike other stories, this novel takes place in China and centers around a community to survivors living in the mountains and having inner conflicts with the remnant of the Chinese government when an undead horde which consists of millions of walkers shows up, and things only escalate from there.

- The Walking Dead Television Universe:
- The Walking Dead (2010-2022): A television series based on the comic series above that began airing on AMC in 2010. Like its' source material, it focuses on a community of survivors founded by Rick Grimes as they survive the undead and hostile confrontations with human survivors as they try to rebuild civilization. It concluded in 2022 with its eleventh season.
- Fear the Walking Dead (2015-2023): A companion series (and first spinoff) that starts out as an Interquel featuring an original story and cast, initially set during the early days of the apocalypse when Rick Grimes was in a coma. The series follows a group that escapes the carnage of Los Angeles and travels through the undead-infested western and southern regions of North America. It concluded with its' eighth season in 2023.
- The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020-2021): A companion series (and second spinoff) that follows a group of teenagers who grew up in the apocalypse as they leave their sheltered community and head out into an unprotected world of walkers; described as Stand by Me with zombies. It consists of two seasons that concluded in 2021.
- Tales of the Walking Dead (2022): An anthology series depicting the adventures of characters new and old, including some who have long been deceased on the mothership series.
- The Walking Dead: Dead City (2023-): A series focused on Maggie Rhee and Negan Smith as they team up fighting through an undead-infested Manhattan Island set years after the conclusion of the mothership series. It has been renewed for a second season.
- The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon (2023-): A series focused on Daryl Dixon as he tries to find a way out of Paris. It has been renewed for a second season with the subtitle The Book of Carol as Carol Peletier returns.
- The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live (2024-): A series focusing on Rick Grimes and Michonne Hawthorne after their departures from the original series. Originally announced as a trilogy of movies before being retooled into a series.
