
Judd Seymore Hirsch (born March 15, 1935 in The Bronx, New York) is an actor best known for his roles as Alex Rieger on Taxi and Alan Eppes on NUMB3RS., both produced by Paramount Television (but in the latter case, only for the first two seasons). Hirsch also starred in Dear John and George & Leo for Paramount.
Hirsch has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role twice: for his role as Dr. Tyrone C. Berger in the 1980 film Ordinary People, and for his role as Boris Schildkraut in the 2022 film The Fabelmans.
He was married to Elisa Sadaune and Bonni Sue Chalkin and he has three children.
