Leo Walker
Leo is an average 12-year old boy who wants to play basketball.
- Arch-Enemy: School bully Colin.
- The Cutie: Leo is a very kind-hearted and endearing kid who loves basketball. Not to mention him getting flustered around Kay.
- I Just Want to Be Badass: Leo aspires to be a basketball player someday.
- Kid Hero: Despite the fact that he is only 12 years old, Leo is a hero who saves the world with his magical Powered Armor.
- Let's Get Dangerous!: Leo will get serious and beat the crap out of anyone who tries to harm his family.
- Nice Guy: Leo is very friendly most of the time.
Kefer
Kefer is the leader of the golden army, brother of Exaton and son of Ra. Kefer is a wise, brave and compassionate leader.
- All-Loving Hero: Kefer respects all life.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Kefer is a very nice guy, but he's not stupid.
- Nice Guy: Kefer is a very cheerful, compassionate, and understanding leader.
- Papa Wolf: Kefer does not like when children are harmed.
Ramses
Ramses is brave warrior and excellent tracker, he first met Leo on Earth in the guise of "Professor Kirby".
- Horrible Judge of Character: For supposedly being Kefer's top spy, Ramses tends to trust people inherently. He once mistook Colin for being one of Leo's friends.
- The Rival: Anubi, though it doesn't appear as bitter for Ramses as it does Anubi.
Horus
Horus is a hawk-headed humanoid, he is one of Kefer's loyal advisors. Horus is courageous and loyal and is the only warrior among the golden army who can fly.
- Bird People: While mostly humanoid, he also has some of the physical traits of a hawk.
- Flying Firepower: Horus can fly and fire blasts of energy from his hands.
- Momma's Boy: When Horus learns that a ship with Bes and Iside onboard is in trouble, his first instinct is to make certain his mother is safe.
- Number Two: He's often seen by Kefer's side. Whether on the battlefield, or in a council meeting.
- Undying Loyalty: Horus is very loyal to his friends and family.
- Winged Humanoid: He gains a pair of wings whenever he dons his armor.
Neith
Neith is the guardian of the city gates, she is a fierce and brave warrior.
- Contralto of Strength: Has a very deep and gruff voice, befitting a mighty warrior like herself.
- Pintsized Powerhouse: Neith is the smallest member of the golden army, not counting Leo, but also its most powerful.
Apis
Apis is the bull-headed warrior of the golden army, loyal and honest, Apis is the strongest of all the Egyxos warriors. Apis owns a training arena called the Labyrinth.
- The Big Guy: Apis is this by default, naturally.
- One-Man Army: Apis once took on almost the entire Dark Army as a distraction for Leo and Neith. Once they'd escaped he was only slightly winded.
Hyksos
Hyksos is very intelligent and capable, he is both a warrior and an inventor. Inventing weapons and useful tools for the golden army.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Hyksos is usually a very friendly and cheerful guy, but he's still one of Kefer's most skilled warriors. On one occasion, he was trusted with being Leo's bodyguard.
- Genius Bruiser: Hyksos possesses great skill as a warrior, but is also very intelligent.
Kha
Kha is a courageous and trustworthy warrior who uses chains on his arms as weapons.
- Designated Victim: If someone gets mind-controlled or poisoned, it's probably going to be Kha.
- Lightning Lash: Kha's primary weapons are a pair of chains tied to his arms, electrified thanks to magic, that he uses like whips.
- The Quiet One: Kha is a good guy, but isn't very chatty.
Exaton
Exaton is the leader of the dark army, Kefer's brother and son of Ra, he is evil and feels a great deal of jealousy towards his brother. Exaton wants to rule over Egyxos and the Earth.
- Expy: When he dons his armor he's the spitting image of Megatron from Michael Bay movies.
- Faux Affably Evil: Any politeness is merely an act to get what he wants, though he does treat his followers fairly well.
- Obviously Evil: His skin is grey and the main theme for the design his armor is black and silver.
- The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: Exaton appears to consider his rivalry with his brother Kefer to be a personal vendetta.
Anubi
Anubi is a jackal-headed warrior, he is Exaton's shapeshifting spy. Anubi has a rivalry with his fellow shapeshifter, Ramses.
- Badass Longcoat: He wears a long dark coat when using his human disguise on Earth.
- Obviously Evil: His true form and his human disguise are both very sinister looking.
- The Rival: Anubi hates Ramses.
- Wolf Man: Anubi shares some obvious physical traits of a jackal or dog.
Thoth
Thoth is a ibis-headed warrior, and one of Exaton's top advisors. Thoth does his best to please Exaton in the hope of gaining greater rank.
- Bird People: Thoth is more or less a humanoid with the head of a bird.
- Playing with Fire: He can blast his enemies with a torrent of flames.
- The Starscream: Thoth has shades of this, while he is loyal to Exaton. He does appear to not want to share his position with Anubi.
Sekhmet
Sekhmet is a warrior but also a scientist. She creates new weapons for Exaton to use against the golden army.
- Cat Girl: Is an anthropomorphic lioness.
- Genius Bruiser: She might be more of a scientific expert, but she's not afraid to get into a fight.
- Ms. Fanservice
Karnak
Karnak is one of Exaton's lower ranked generals, he is very loyal to Exaton.
- Butt-Monkey: Poor Karnak once had to endure being bossed around by Astrid, who was supposed to be his hostage.
- Pity the Kidnapper: Once had to take on the duty of guarding Astrid. She eventually had him cooking her meals for her.
- Undying Loyalty: Karnak is very loyal to Exaton. So much so that he was uncomfortable seeing Kefer, who's mind was trapped within Exaton's being held prisoner.
Hatanor
Hatanor is another low ranked general of Exaton, he is ruthless but also not very bright.
Nakt
Nakt is a low-ranked general, alongside Karnak and Hatanor. Nakt is fierce and ruthless, though he's also very dim.
Sobek
Sobek was once a loyal warrior to Kefer. Though he eventually betrayed Kefer and became a follower of Exaton.
- Beast Man: Sobek is an anthropomorphic crocodile.
- Combat Pragmatist: While Sobek is muscular and fierce, he prefers to use his brains to win a battle.
- Evil Former Friend: Sobek was once a loyal warrior of the golden army, until his Face–Heel Turn.
- Wouldn't Hurt a Child: Despite given ample opportunity with Leo and Kira, it appears Sobek would rather not harm children.
Leo's Family
Leo's family consists of his father, mother and two younger siblings.
- Annoying Younger Sibling: How Leo often views his siblings, Toby and Juliet.
- Good Parents: Mr. and Mr. Walker are kind and supportive of their children, though they're not above disciplining their kids if they cause trouble.
- Happily Married: Neither of Leo's parents ever get into a quarrel with the other.
Kay
Kay is a sweet, pretty confident girl who Leo's had a crush on for a long time.
- Childhood Friend Romance: Subverted. Leo would like to ask her out on a date but Leo gets tongue-tied whenever he tries to ask her out.
- Fiery Redhead: When Kay gets angry, it would be best for everyone to get out of her way.
Dale
One of Leo's longtime friends.
- Butt-Monkey: Dale is dumped on by Colin almost as much as Leo. It becomes part of the plot in "The Giants of Sand" when Colin routinely bullies him to make a "movie".
Bernie
One of Leo's longtime friends. Bernie loves to play video games.
- Nerd Glasses: Large, round green ones.
Colin
Colin is a bully who likes to pick on Leo, on and off the basketball court.
- The Bully: Starts the show out as this, but slowly grows out of it through Character Development over time.
- Character Development: At the start of the series, Colin was a nasty piece of work who bullied Leo because he thought it was fun. Once Leo wins over head cheerleader Astrid, he focuses more on trying to prove he's "better" than Leo. Eventually culminating in (reluctantly) deciding to hang out with Leo and his friends.
- Dirty Coward: When facing Anubi disguised as Leo, Colin was more than happy to flee rather than face him in a fight.
- Green-Eyed Monster: Colin seems to get very jealous over Astrid's affection for Leo.
Astrid
Astrid is the most popular girl in Leo's school. Captain of the cheerleader team, Astrid develops a crush on Leo after a trip to Egyxos.
- The Ditz: Astrid can come across as... not very bright and isn't always on the same page as everyone else.
- Took a Level in Kindness: Played straight after she's returned safely to Earth. Even though Osiride used a device on her that was supposed to erase her memories of Egyxos. She retained enough to retain her newfound feelings of admiration and respect for Leo.
Bes
Bes is the friendly and jovial member of the Council of Regents. Who assists Kefer in governing over the kingdom of Egyxos.
- Cloudcuckoolander: Bes can be a bit silly and jovial at times, but he can also be serious when the situation calls for it.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Bes can be quite the goofball, but still shows competence when the situation calls for it.
Osiride
Osiride is the grand inventor of Egyxos. He is also a loyal friend to Kefer.
- The Medic: While mostly a scientist, Osiride seems to take up this role for the people of Egyxos when needed.
- The Smart Guy: Kefer's resident top genius.
Iside
Iside is the kindest and most thoughtful member of the he Council of Regents. Who assists Kefer in governing over the kingdom of Egyxos.
- Martial Pacifist: Iside does not believe that violence is the best solution, but that doesn't mean she won't resort to using it.
- Team Mom: Iside's kind and thoughtful nature keeps the rest of the Council balanced and helps them work together.
Seth
Seth is the most stolid member of the Council of Regents. Who assists Kefer in governing over the kingdom of Egyxos.
- Fire-Forged Friends: Upon their first meeting, Seth and Leo don't get along very well. As the series goes on, however, they gain respect for each other.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: As hot headed and stubborn as he can be, he's still a good person with the best interests of Egyxos at heart.
- Took a Level in Kindness: Played straight after the episode "The Feather of Maat" where he has an Heel Realization.
Maat
Maat is the fiercest member of the Council of Regents. Who assists Kefer in governing over the kingdom of Egyxos.
- Good is Not Nice: When Bes introduces her, Bes says she's one of Kefer's most trusted advisors. Her first action upon meeting Leo is to fix him with a stony glare. Then again, she wasn't really good to begin with.
- Walking Spoiler: The episode "The Feather of Maat" is a Wham Episode that reveals that her loyalty to Kefer was a ruse, and she is the mole for Exaton.
Shu
A mighty robot created in Egyxos ancient past.
- A.I. Is a Crapshoot: In his backstory, before Shu's Face–Heel Turn. He was programmed to fight against evil and protect the innocent. It was his growing arrogance that eventually caused his turn.
- Demoted to Dragon: Subverted in his second appearance, when Exaton appears to succeed in taking control of him. Shu eventually overcomes his control and turns on Exaton.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Ra deactivated Shu and disassembled him thousands of years ago, which is tragic. But Shu doesn't get much sympathy since that only happened because the rouge robot decided he should rule over the humans as a dictator.
