You may or may not have seen me lurking around the forums or occasionally editing pages. If you haven't, allow me to introduce myself: I generally go by DelightfullyQuirky, among other aliases. I'm fifteen years old, I'm female, I live in Canada and I'm a practicing Catholic. Those are probably the most important things you need to know about me.
The most important facts after that would probably relate to what a big nerd I am. I'm crazy for sci-fi, video games, cartoons and comics and my nerdiness has only been increased by my frequent use of this infernal website: I now over analyze many of the numerous media properties I'm interested in, which is both a blessing and a curse.
If you'd ever like to talk to me for any reason, feel free. I may be a bit weird, but trust me, I don't bite.
- Adorkable: I've been called this before; heck, one of my friends refers to me as "her little nerd."
- Agent Scully: I'm a skeptical person most of the time and try to look at things somewhat realistically.
- All Girls Like Ponies: When I was younger. I still have a fondness for them today, but they're no longer my favourite animal.
- Brainy Brunette: I have brown hair and my grades are typically in the 80-90 range.
- Bookworm: I really love reading.
- Brilliant, but Lazy: I'm decently smart, but I'm also a chronic procrastinator.
- Brown Eyes: To go with my hair.
- Conversational Troping: I namedrop a lot of tropes without even realizing I do it. It's become part of my everyday vocabulary, really.
- Creepy Long Fingers: Though my fingers are very long and people tend to comment on them a lot, they aren't exactly creepy. They are good for Milking the Giant Cow, though.
- Deadpan Snarker: I've been compared to GLaDOS because of my dry wit.
- Fangirl: I try not to be the overly obsessive, annoying type of fangirl, though sometimes I can't help it. There are certain things that I can't resist squeeing over.
- Fan of the Past: Some of my interests, particularly my taste in music, are from the sixties, seventies and eighties.
- Fun T-Shirt: My wardrobe consists of a lot of these.
- Gamer Girl: Not as much as some, but I definitely won't turn down a game of Mario Kart.
- Girls Love Stuffed Animals: I've amassed a large collection of them over the years, including everything from cats to companion cubes.
- Gosh Darn It to Heck!: I'm not fond of profanity, so most of my cursing comes in this form.
- Inferiority Superiority Complex: Though I sometimes act like a stuck-up egghead, I have a fairly low opinion of myself.
- Insufferable Genius: Occasionally. Which is ironic, considering that I hate people who flaunt their intelligence.
- Meganekko: Comes with wearing glasses and being somewhat "cute".
- Messy Hair: I have short, extremely curly hair that can turn into a bird's nest overnight. It's kind of annoying.
- Nerd: Obviously.
- Nice Girl: I try to be this, most of the time.
- Not So Above It All: Despite all my pretentiousness and skepticism, I can be pretty wacky at times.
- Only Sane Woman: Even when it's not true, I tend to feel like I'm this.
- Poster-Gallery Bedroom: The walls of my room are adorned with pictures of many of my interests.
- Quirky Curls: As mentioned above, my hair is curly and tangles easily. As for the quirky part... well, it's in my username.
- Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness: I use words that are fairly large when I want to sound extra smart.
