The Walten Family

    Jack Walten

LAST SEEN: 06/11/1974

Voiced by: Martin Walls

"It's about Edd and Molly. They have a school event tonight. A school party. And they have no one to pick them up. I need to stay at the workshop to finish the paperwork and Rose is taking Sophie to the dentist. We were wondering if you could pick them up for the event and drive them home later."
— Jack talking with Felix on the phone.

A co-founder of Bon's Burgers. He went missing sometime before the events of the series.

  • Ambiguous Situation: Aside from the fact that he's gone missing, we still don't know whether he's dead or alive, and if the former, whether he's possessing Bon, something else, or nothing at all. CyberFun Tech confirms that he's NOT possessing Bon and that the main antagonist seems to be someone else entirely; interestingly, he has the name Bon.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Jack can be a pretty friendly person when he's in a good mood, but never try to get on his bad side or hurt his family.
  • Decoy Protagonist: While a major character in the story whose disappearance forms one of its overarching mysteries, he is not the principle "Walten" the files are concerned with. His children are.
  • Deliberately Monochrome: He's portrayed in the same Black & White monochrome of the Founders photo, which certainly makes him stand out from the rest of the characters.
  • Disappeared Dad: He has had three children before going missing, in accordance to the description of Lucky You.
  • Good Parents: Despite his short temper and being a workaholic, Jack loved his family dearly; after the events of "BunnyFarm", while they are talking, Sophie tells Jenny that her father never raised his voice either at Rosemary or at her and her siblings.
  • Happily Married: with Rosemary, before the events of the series unfolded.
  • Hot-Blooded: One of Jack's most recognizable personality traits is that he gets angry very easily, despite his normally passionate and focused personality. It got to the point where in CyberFun Tech, he threatens to kill Felix if he did anything to Edd and Molly while dropping them off.
  • I'll Kill You!: he makes these threats to Felix in episode 4, when he goes looking for him in his house.
  • Lethal Chef: unlike Rosemary, is confirmed that Jack is terrible at cooking. In a sketch published on Martin's Twitter, the results of a culinary challenge they set themselves are shown: while Rosemary's pizza came out perfect, Jack's was terribly burnt, complete with a dead mouse as decoration.
  • The Namesake: With his status as co-founder of Bon's Burgers and father of the main character, it would seem that he is the series' namesake.
  • Papa Wolf: His children clearly mean a lot to him, and he sounds absolutely furious when Felix refuses to answer his calls and tell him where Edd and Molly are.
Jack Walten: Felix. Pick up the phone. Now. I need you to pick up the phone. It's been three hours since I told you to get Edd and Molly home. What happened to my children?
    • Further exemplified in Episode 4, where on the night of the crash, and Felix and the kids have been missing for hours, Jack is seen driving to Felix's house fast, in terrifyingly complete silence, but plainly obvious rage on his face. And after he arrives, he immediately begins hammering on the doorbell and slamming the door, screaming his name and demanding he open the door. The scene climaxing as he peers through the window, and cementing his Papa Wolf status with this chilling line:
Jack Walten: Felix...Felix, if you did anything to those kids...I'll fucking kill you.
  • Red Herring: Early episodes imply that he's somehow possessing the animatronics to commit atrocities. The killings actually began before his disappearance.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Wears a suit in his every appearance so far and was last seen wearing a dark red suit before going missing, plus Martin has said Jack usually dresses "fancy and old timey".
  • Smoking Is Cool: Jack enjoyed smoking, especially Marlboro cigarettes.
  • Tranquil Fury: He doesn't raise his voice much when confronting Felix over his children missing and Felix not answering his calls for three hours. Although the slight shake in his voice tells you that he's doing everything he can to keep his composure. Sophie also notes that he "had a temper" when remembering her family with Jenny on one of the hidden findjackwalten pages. She's quick to shoot down the implications of abuse, but hesitantly repeats herself in the end.
  • Unperson: Seems to be what's happening to him, seeing as how he's been removed from the founders photo and the tapes, only showing up as an abnormality.
  • The Un-Smile: On occasion, his face bears an unsettling grin that looks as if he's trying too hard to smile normally. Special mention goes to the cartoon illustration of him in Relocate Project, whose grin covers the entire bottom half of his head. Of his three children Sophie has currently inherited it.
  • Vocal Dissonance: He's a very lean and thin man, both in his photos and in his cartoonish depiction. But when his voice is finally heard in Bunny Farm, he has a very deep voice, easily the deepest in the story, outside of Pumpkin Rabbit.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Him and Felix were incredibly close friends, enough so that they started a business together and Jack's children saw him as an Honorary Uncle. And he trusted Felix enough to call upon him for family matters. But everything changed after the accident. Even when Jack called him pleading to know what had happened to his children, he starts the call giving him the benefit of the doubt, that maybe something suddenly came up and to just tell him; but his justified frustration and emotional distress causes him to start speaking as of Felix had done something. During CyberFun Tech, he sounds utterly hurt, on the verge of tears, making it clear that even if his children turned out to be okay, Felix has broken his trust as a result of the incident.
I asked you to do one. Thing. I wanted to know that they would be safe with you. I wanted to know that I could trust you. So I need to know what happened.
  • Workaholic: Sophie in the Find Jack Walten website implies Jack was this, as she says she didn't get to spend much time with her father because he was always busy with his work.

    Rosemary Walten (née Peony)

"Sophie, where am I?"
— Rosemary's last words.

Jack's wife, who went to investigate her husband's disappearance. She possesses the Sha animatronic.

  • Affectionate Nickname: Jack used to nickname her "Rosie"; she apparently preferred to be nicknamed that instead of "Mary".
  • An Arm and a Leg: Her body was ripped apart limb by limb by Bon before being stuffed into the Sha animatronic.
  • And I Must Scream: The narrator heavily implies that Rosemary's experience — when her spirit finds itself trapped in the body of an animatronic sheep mascot — is not a pleasant one. Confirmed in BunnyFarm, where the Sha portion of the game contains what is all but stated to be her screaming in agony as she’s stuffed into Sha.
  • Art Reflects Personality: She drew a painting of her and Jack outside the house, with the colors being noticeably dominated by black and white except for the bouquet of roses and candle. As this was drew after Jack's disappearance, it is likely this was trying to show how much she missed Jack and how she was grieving the situation.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: A non-superpower variation. Rosemary bears a notable resemblance to Sha , the animatronic character she ends up having her remains stuffed in. Her '80s Hair is shaped similarly to Sha's Tuft of Head Fur, and she is portrayed wearing a puffy yellow sweater reminiscent of sheep's wool; to drive it home, the cartoon illustration of Sha in Relocate Project repeatedly glitches into Rosemary, with the two sharing an identical silhouette. Interestingly she was the in-universe artist behind the concept art of Sha and the Showstoppers which suggests that the identical silhouette was intentional on her part.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: She was ripped apart limb by limb by Bon before being forced into Sha which is horrible way to go. Disturbingly enough Bunnyfarm and Spectacle implies that she was alive during most of it with a recording and a news report of her dying screams well into the night..
When she woke up, she looked beautiful. But on the inside...
it felt like every single part of her body was BLEEDING OUT.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: although she is portrayed as a loving woman, Rosemary could be intimidating when she wanted to be.
  • Eye Scream: gets it after Bon kills her.
  • Good Parents: she was a very sweet and caring mother towards her children; however, Edd and Molly's deaths and Jack's disappearance have left her paranoid and overprotective of Sophie. Justified, given that she's the last family member left alive.
  • Happily Married: with Jack, before the events of the series unfolded.
  • Hidden Depths: CyberFun Tech reveals that she's an artist and was the person who oversaw the designs of all of the characters. She was also a musician as well.
  • Missing Mom: after she dies and Sophie remains the only member of the Walten family still alive.
  • Morality Pet: she was towards her husband Jack: every time he started to lose patience, she always succeeded into calming him down. According to Sophie, Jack never abused Rosemary or raised his voice against her.
  • Nightmare Face: A distorted version of her face is superimposed over Sha's in "BunnyFarm. It's a stark white with an unsettling grin, looking fittingly like a ghost.
  • Supreme Chef: she is very good at cooking, unlike her husband Jack.

    Sophie Walten

Safety in pills, Sophie.

Voiced by: -Lighth0use-

"You know, I keep thinking about Bunny Smiles. Sounds so familiar. This game is bringing back so many memories but it's so hard to just remember exactly."
— Sophie attempting to remember her past while playing BunnyFarm with Jenny.

The protagonist of Episode 3, though her name has shown up as early as Episode 1. Something has been trying to contact her for a very long time. She is the eldest daughter of Jack and Rosemary Walten, as well as the elder sister to the late Edd and Molly Walten as well.

  • Affectionate Nickname: "My Little Bunny", although it is not yet known whether it is explicitly referred to her; it is implied that it was addressed by one of her parents (probably by Jack) or as a subtle threat from "Bon", who is still looking for her.
  • Amnesiac Hero: Sophie openly admits she doesn't remember most of her childhood, until the events of Bunnyfarm jog her memory.
  • Artistic License – Pharmacology: Sophie's unnamed but oft-mentioned pills, whatever they may be, make her almost completely unable to remember her childhood. They also seem to stop working as her memory is jogged over the course of BunnyFarm.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Word of God confirms that Sophie inherited anger issues from her father Jack; this will be explored in future episodes. She also apparently has the strength to break a person's arm.
  • Butch Lesbian: Well, bisexual, in this case. Is a Tomboy and in a relationship with Jenny.
  • Captain Obvious: Many of her lines in Bunnyfarm are rewordings of whatever is happening on screen.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: Only mentioned until BunnyFarm, and her importance to the story wasn't revealed until then.
  • Conveniently an Orphan: It's a little odd that we find out that her family's gone and she doesn't remember what happened to them either.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: towards Jenny: at first Sophie hated her and was annoyed by her behavior; as time passed she began to get closer and change her opinion of her, and then became her girlfriend.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: "Soapie", after a typo while trying to make a new save file in Bunnyfarm. Jenny lightheartedly calls her out on it.
    Sophie: S, O, P [types "S O A P"] Fuck, oh shit, I can't go back—
    Jenny: [Chuckles] Dumbass!
  • The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You: An in-universe example. The game eventually begins refering to her as "Sophie" rather than Soapie, the name she inputted at the beginning. This is the least of her problems, however.
  • Heroic BSoD: Sophie is entirely silent for the last twelve minutes of Bunnyfarm after talking to herself on and off for almost whole video, her last spoken dialog being "That's... Edd and Molly. That's Edd and Molly."
  • Living Emotional Crutch: she was it for her mother Rosemary after Edd and Molly's death and the disappearance of Jack.
  • Nice Girl: Overall a chill and friendly person. However, she inherited anger issues from his father, which will be explored in future episodes.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: Implied by Jenny, who, after talking about the glitches in Bunnyfarm, mentions that she knew that "[Sophie]" is into that sort of stuff. She also likes horror movies.
  • Pubescent Braces: Sophie apparently wore braces when she was a teenager; Martin confirmed that the dentist visit she had in episode 3 was a regular check-up that went well. There are also other illustrations of a 14 years old Sophie by Martin that confirm this.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: the calm blue Oni to the energic red Oni of Jenny.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: From her pictures as shown above, Sophie bears a hairstyle that's very reminiscent of her late mothers'. By Word of God her smile is much like her late fathers'.
  • Stronger Than They Look: according to the author, Sophie is strong enough to break a person's arm; apparently she did it to someone after she was teased.
  • The Un-Smile: as seen and written in her reference sheet for the second season of The Walten Files, Sophie seems to have inherited Jack's disturbing smile.
  • Tomboy: This is implied, as, from what her picture from above indicates, she may harbor a passion for sports, as she appears to be wearing a letterman jacket.

    Edward "Edd" and Molly Walten

"It's sad that we can't really remember you, Sophie. But soon we'll be together, forever and ever :)"
— Edd and Molly's message to Sophie.

Rosemary and Jack's other two children, and Sophie's younger siblings. They possess Rocket Bunny doll.

  • Affectionate Nickname: it is implied for Edward, who is briefly nicknamed "Edd".
  • Annoying Younger Sibling: according to Martin, Molly often annoyed Edd, with him ending up getting angry and arguing with her. This doesn't stop him from protecting her in the afterlife from "Bon".
  • Big Brother Instinct: In Wonderland, Edd is visibly taller than Molly and seems to be trying to keep her hidden from "Bon".
  • Big Good: While still rather disturbing (especially when they're talking through Rocket Bunny), the kids are shown to be against whatever Bon is planning and try to save Susan from him in Wonderland, but they arrive too late.
  • Creepy Twins: They aren't actually twins but they certainly are two creepy siblings that always appear with each other, especially after their deaths when they soon haunt the Rocket Bunny doll.
  • Death of a Child: The two are killed in a drunk driving accident caused by Felix, kicking off the plot.
  • Determinator: It's all but stated they went on to possess Rocket Bunny after Felix buried their bodies.
Showbear: He buried them here. He was too scared. But they found a way out eventually.
  • Girlish Pigtails: Molly has them.
  • Nice Girl: Molly showed Felix nothing but kindness during her and Edd's final moments, being understanding of Felix's messy divorce. In Wonderland, she argues in favour of trying to help Susan (recognizing they're in the same predicament) while Edd is more focused on keeping themselves safe. According to the author Molly was a very polite and kind child also when she was alive.
  • Plot-Triggering Death: If they hadn't died, Felix wouldn't have needed to cover up their deaths nor would his toxic tendencies get worse.
  • Rebellious Spirit: According to the author, Edd was the most rebellious of the three siblings when he was alive.
  • Pink Means Feminine: Molly wore a pink/magenta sweater under her red overalls.
  • Tempting Fate: Molly's last words are her comforting Felix about his divorce and telling him that it's all going to be alright... right before Felix crashes his car.
    "Everything is gonna be okay!"
  • The Unintelligible: Zig-zagged. Edd and Molly's spirits speak in a jumbled and distorted language. The only reason the viewers (i.e., us) can understand them is due to the captions. But this is only in Wonderland. They can speak fine through Rocket Bunny, as when Molly calls for "Uncle Felix." Though, Felix thinks he's losing it due to the guilt.
  • Walking Spoiler: It is very difficult to discuss these two without mentioning the fact that their accidental deaths during a tragic car accident kickstarted the entire plot.

Bunny Smiles Incorporated

    Felix Kranken
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_20210324_072100_youtube.jpg
"A man with not only a giant brain, but also a giant heart!"

Voiced by: Coker Easler

"I'm so fucked...what am I gonna do now? The restaurant's gonna open next month...!"
— Felix regretting accidentally killing Edd and Molly.
One of Bon's Burgers' co-founders. Was friends with the other co-founder, Jack Walten, before they had a falling out at some point.
  • Accidental Child-Killer Backstory: while driving Edd and Molly home from a party, Felix crashed his car, accidentally killing them; all this because he was drunk while driving.
  • The Alcoholic: Felix had this problem for a while and it was the catalyst of the end of his relationship with Linda. Since she left, he drank even more. This led to some very poor choices and unfortunately, he never realized how bad his addiction was until he got Edd and Molly killed in a drunk driving accident. He seems to still be hitting the bottle and seemingly harder than ever up to at least 1977, no doubt further driven to drink due to his responsibility for the deaths of Edd & Molly alongside whatever happened to Jack and all the other victims.
  • Ambiguously Evil: The opening episodes seem to frame his the series Big Bad, with his self-aggrandizing introduction and Unpersoning of Jack implying he had something to do with the supernatural events of the series. He did, but not in the way it seems, as he accidentally killed Jack's 2 children and buried them in unmarked graves in grief, which caused them to possess the robotic doll he had given them shortly afterwards. While the "Evil" part of this seems to subverted for now, it's too early in the story to be certain.
  • Attempted Suicide: Episode 4 reveals that shortly after the accident, he almost threw himself off a cliff into a river, but didn't go through with it.
  • Dirty Coward: Thinking the best course of action after accidentally getting your best friend's kids killed is burying them in an unmarked grave, running away, and not answering his justifiably panicked phone calls should speak for itself.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Though he didn't mean for any of it to happen, Felix is ultimately responsible for the events of the series.
  • Honorary Uncle: Jack's kids lovingly refer to him as Uncle Felix.
  • Ironic Name: "Felix" means lucky. Ruining your marriage with an alcohol addiction, getting your best friend's kids killed while drunk driving a month before your restaurant opens, and unleashing a chain of events that leads to murderous animatronics possessed by ghosts isn't lucky.
  • It's All About Me: Seems to have the tendency to be self-centered. As evidenced by the aggrandizing of him and his role as a founder in the second tape, and even in the secret tape "Guilty", he has to manually catch and correct himself when he nearly says that he never thought he would've made it far, leaving everyone else in the company out of the equation. Even after the car crash that resulted in Edd and Molly's death, in the same secret tape he takes a moment to bemoan how the restaurant is going to open the next month, as if how this event is going to affect his business is an equal to or greater consequence than his best friend and business partner finding out he accidentally killed his children in a drunk driving accident, and buried them in an unmarked grave in the forest.
  • Jerkass: It's made clear that he's quite a toxic person, with his selfish tendencies, his treatment of Jack after the incident, and his alcoholism that he recognizes but refuses to do anything about; and some members of the crew behind The Walten Files outright describe him as "a dick". But while he is indeed selfish and cowardly, he's far from evil. At most, he seems to simply be a pathetic, miserable wretch of a man; who runs from his problems and leaves devastation in his wake. Even still, he clearly regrets how he treated his wife, is absolutely devastated after his actions cause Edd and Molly's deaths, and his burial of them in the forest is at least partially driven by a misguided desire to spare Jack the pain of seeing what happened to them, because he sees him as the best friend he's ever had and doesn't want to do that to him. And judging by Detective Collins log in the hidden website pages, may only be getting worse due to the events of the series.
  • Meaningful Name: Contrary to his first name, his last name "Kranken" means to suffer, which is much more accurate to what Felix has been going through.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: His reaction after accidentally killing Edd and Molly, to the point that he even considers committing suicide in the immediate aftermath. In the "Guilty" tape, as he reminds himself that he accidentally killed them, that it's not a nightmare and they're not okay, he begins breaking down, and pauses multiple times to sob bitterly into the recorder from grief and regret. The guilt from this and everything else that happened seems to have worsened his drinking by at least 1977.
"That's probably why I'm recording this in the first place...b-because I kn-(Beat)...I know I'll wake up tomorrow and...I'll think this is all just a nightmare...th-that...Edd and...M-Molly are okay...b-but-(Beat)...but they're not, th-they're not...th-they were just children and...and Jack...o-oh god, what am I gonna tell Jack...?"
  • Nightmare Face: His appearance in the unlisted Guilty video after Edd and Molly’s death has him sport a distorted face, though it’s not as bad as the other examples on this page.
  • Pointy-Haired Boss: Implied in Relocate Project. Instead of creating new robots for the restaurant, Felix decided to fix the old models and bring them back. There were a few problems with his plan though. Firstly, the robots had been languishing in decay for years in a storage facility in the woods, which rendered some of their parts beyond repair. Second, the technicians were not given the proper equipment to fix these parts or replace them. Third, he wanted the robots all fixed up within a week. Lampshaded by Kevin who complained about not being given enough time to complete their task, forcing the technicians to deem the reprogramming phase a failure.
  • Red Herring: Given the show's clear influences from Five Nights at Freddy's, Felix is initially set up as a stand-in for the murderously corrupt William Afton as one of the founders of a fast food restaurant with a dark history related to haunted animatronics. While he is responsible for Molly and Ed's deaths, they were a result of an accident, and it transpires that the diabolical force driving the plot is someone (or something) else entirely.
  • The Reveal: He is not a malicious Green-Eyed Monster who had something to do with his friend’s disappearance, but instead a pathetic wretch of a man who took up drinking during his marriage, which ultimately led to his divorce. It's implied that it got worse after he accidentally killed Jack’s children in a drunk-driving accident. Him burying their bodies was not to cover up his crimes, but a drunken attempt to stop his friend from being devastated by their deaths.
  • Slave to PR: Desperately trying to save face after everything that's happened to Bunny Smiles and the Bon's Burgers franchise, despite it all.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Despite Felix Kranken and Jack Walten being the co-founders of Bon's Burgers and close friends, the fact that the latter is given the Unperson treatment in the first two episodes gives the impression of Felix being a treacherous Green-Eyed Monster who had something to do with Jack's disappearance. "BunnyFarm" reveals what actually happened: Jack asked Felix to drive Edd and Molly to a school party and then get them home later, and despite Felix's tone and words clearly suggesting he wants to say that now wasn't a good time, his close friendship for Jack pushed him to accept, even when Jack clarified "if it was possible". But Felix's alcoholism led to him driving the two children home while drunk, resulting in a car accident along the way. Felix survived the crash; Edd and Molly didn't, and Felix was too afraid to tell Jack about it, because he knew he'd be devastated and misguidedly wanted to spare him of that. As the "bad ending" of the titular arcade game heavily implies, to say that Felix regretted that incident would be an understatement.

    Susan Woodings

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ey5owbuwuaocoef.png
LAST SEEN: 06/30/1974

Voiced by: CoralineHecc

"I noticed a few irregularities in the stage and in the audio animatronics. As the engineer, and the person who basically built the animatronics to begin with, it was easy to notice these. Especially in Bon. Something felt off. The limbs weren't moving properly; they looked stiff and odd, especially in his right arm."
— Susan talking during an audio recording.
The head engineer of BSI, a transfer from Cyberfun Tech, where she was a technical supervisor, as part of their business deal with BSI. She was one of the first to pick up on something strange with the animatronics. She possesses the Banny animatronic.
  • And I Must Scream: She got her neck snapped and eyes gouged out after being attacked by Bon, but is left barely alive and ends up crudely stuffed into Banny. Horrifyingly, despite everything done to her, she's clearly still alive and breathing. She then spends the majority of Lacrimosa wandering around Bon's Burgers in that state before crossing over to Wonderland. The rabbit is starving, indeed.
  • Body Horror: Her skin seems to have been stretched over the animatronic's exoskeleton, if the scene of Banny's head fading over top of her corpse is any indication. And if the text on her photo and the "THE RABBIT IS STARVING" scene is accurate, she somehow survived this, and only died when she eventually starved to death.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: She was grabbed by Bon when she went to check up on him and likely had her spine broken judging by the fact she mentions she couldn't move at all after. She was crudely jammed into Banny which resulted in her skin being stretched out over Banny's exoskeleton and that still didn't kill her. It's implied very heavily by the creepy The rabbit is starving segment that what finally killed her was her starving to death after her whole torturous ordeal. Not only that, but she also tried to get Felix's attention to get help but wasn't able to.
    • The broken spine was confirmed in Cyberfun Tech, where she was unable to do anything but choke and watch as Bon loomed over her to purposefully mangle her face further before dragging her off to Banny. Even after being forced into Banny its confirmed that she was still alive and aware. Lacrimosa makes it even worse as she was still struggling right before Bon forced Banny's mask on her and started wandering Bon's Burgers not long after to try to find help despite her neck barely hanging on to her body and the rest of her body being crudely mangled to fit into the animatronic.
  • Curiosity Killed the Cast: If she just didn’t stay behind to check on the animatronics, then maybe she wouldn’t be inside one right now. Justified as being the head engineer means you can pick up on the animatronics acting weird pretty quickly and she would have checked on them anyway, as it's her job to do so.
  • Detrimental Determination: She hung on for an impressively long time after losing most of her ability to breathe and having her neck broken. Even when she was close enough to death to start controlling Banny, her first instinct is to try and find help... but all it does in the end is prolong her suffering, as it's implied that "Bon" is steering her around in circles to tire her out until she's ready to cross over into his Wonderland.
  • Eye Scream: she receives it in episode 4 when Bon mutilates her face to "make her beautiful".
  • Ironic Hell: Being trapped in one of the animatronics she helped create adds an extra layer of undeserved poetic cruelty to an already awful fate.
  • Machine Empathy: Justified and subverted. She can tell that they're off by looking at them because she built them, however it doesn't save her from being murdered by Haunted Technology.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: She shows concern for the animatronics’ wellbeing, and stays behind just to check on them. This gets her horrifically mutilated by Bon and she is shoved inside the Banny animatronic.
  • Straight Gay: Is confirmed lesbian by the creator, but so far has shown no known lesbian traits.
  • The Engineer: Susan's official occupation is this, being a technical engineer as well as a Technical Supervisor.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Has a soft, feminine face, but also has a deep, contralto tone of voice, as heard from an audio file in BunnyFarm.
  • Wrench Wench: Self-explanatory.

"Hi! Just got hired officially as the Computer Supervisor for "Unnamed Bunny Smiles Restaurant" (Though, I've been coming up with a few names myself). I've known these guys for a while, they're family! I've done some work for them along with Susan for years now, even before Cyberfun Tech! Getting to meet the Waltens and the Krankens has been super fun! So excited to get to work! The future is bright."
— Charles, in a note written by him.
The Computer Supervisor of Bon's Burgers, the second transfer from CT as part of their business deal, to aid in the maintenance and troubleshooting of the animatronics computation processes while Susan handled the hardware and machines. He possesses the Boozoo animatronic.
  • Ambiguous Situation: Until episode 3, there wasn't much information about him, other than that he was probably the soul that possessed Boozoo. Episode 4 reveals that he was a BSI employee working on the software side of the animatronics while Susan worked on the hardware.
  • Amicable Exes: He apparently remained on good terms with his ex-wife Emily; according to the author, if Charles had not died, they would have gotten back together.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: He had his lips ripped off and was stuffed into the Boozoo animatronic still alive, if the shot of Boozoo's bloody and empty head breathing is accurate.
  • Disappeared Dad: he has a daughter named Lily and he is killed by Bon, probably while searching for the previously missing Susan.
  • Eye Scream: it's sure that he received it too, being one of Bon's victims.
  • Good Parents: He is described as a loving father towards his daughter Lily: according to Martin he would put her before anything else.
  • Lip Losses: His lips were ripped off before he was killed, presumably by Bon.
  • The Illegible: Downplayed, as his writing is still decently comprehensible and other characters have like Linda aren't that much better. Still, his handwriting can become confusing as his E's are spelt uniquely and with some words he doesn't even complete the spelling at all.
  • Trauma-Induced Amnesia: In typical fashion for Bon’s victims, Charles’s face has been mutilated and distorted beyond recognition.
I don't remember my face
  • Unknown Character: It's not clear what his connection is with the other characters but we do know he was a victim of the events surrounding Bon's Burgers.
    • Episode 4 provides more context as he is a programmer for the animatronics alongside Susan Woodings as a Bunny Smiles technician.

"WHAT WAS THAT THING?!"
— Brian's last words.
A new employee of BSI, who's the first person we see to die onscreen. He doesn't possess any animatronic.
  • Annoying Younger Sibling: not him, but his younger brother Jimmy Stells, who apparently has a mutual hatred towards Sophie Walten.
  • Barred from the Afterlife: heavily subverted: of all the souls of Bon's victims, Brian would be the only one who could go to Heaven after his death due his body wasn't stuffed in any animatronic; this is because, according to "Bon", a vessel-less spirit would disappear within a week. Confirmed by the fact that Brian will no longer appear in future tapes.
  • Body Horror: Bon rips his arms off and gouges out his eyes. Martin Walls's redesign post-Bunnyfarm only makes it worse.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: According to his VA he was still alive when he had his eyes ripped or gouged out, and it wasn't a fast death at all.
  • Disposable Intern: Dies on his first day.
  • Eye Scream: Has his eyes destroyed while he was still alive.
  • Ghostly Gape: Martin's post-BunnyFarm redesign of his carcass has this in spades.
  • Incurable Cough of Death: Coughs a lot in response to the foul smell inside the facility and when running from Bon.note  Subverted in that it wasn't the cough that killed him.
  • Inelegant Blubbering: according to his voice actor, Brian would cry aggressively if he did end up in Wonderland.
  • The Intern: It was his first day and he quickly establishes what kind of series it is
  • Jawbreaker: His jaw appears to have been ripped apart, and it's especially noticeable on his redesigned corpse.
  • Likes Older Women: played for laughs: in a Martin sketch, Brian tries to flirt with Rosemary while trying to dissuade her from looking for Jack.
  • Thoroughly Mistaken Identity: How Brian met his end; he was mistaken for Sophie Walten, despite looking nothing like her:
Brian: He thought I was her.
  • Sacrificial Lamb: The series' first kill and just sets a precedent for the Cruel and Unusual Death that will follow.
  • Slashers Prefer Blondes: he has blonde hair and is one of Bon's victims (as well as being the first death shown on screen).

    Ashley Parks

LAST SEEN: 07/14/1978

Voiced by: Em C.

"I don’t really know why this dude has a cassette player thing installed, but my guess is that used for um, for birthday parties, like, they would play a customized tape or something? I don't know. But we're about to find out."
— Ashley's last words.
A curious employee who went to investigate K-9. She possesses the Billy animatronic.
  • An Arm and a Leg: According to Martin's personal version of events, Ashley was unconscious for about half an hour after being attacked and, once awake, began screaming as Bon slowly dismembered her. However, it has been stated that it is not the official version and that everyone may have different ideas on how Ashley lost her life.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: We see a brief glimspe of her body after Bon was done with her and its very obvious by her eyeless mangled face that her death was not pretty. Notably an brief secret message mentions that she was screaming for help as she was being murdered in the back doors by the time Kevin and Hilary left the very next day. Ashley was caught by Bon at some point during the night. Ashley's death was not only extremely brutal like most of Bon's victims but also, judging by that extra bit of information, a long one.
  • Curiosity Killed the Cast: How Ashley is killed; she inspected the backrooms of the K-9 storage facility and played an old cassette tape listing 5 names before getting caught, killed, and stuffed into the Billy animatronic by Bon.
  • Disposable Intern: Dies very quickly just like Brian, though Ashley lasts a little longer on-screen in comparison.
  • Eye Scream: like the other Bon's victims, Ashley fulfills this trope.
  • Fearless Fool: To her credit, Ashley did display remarkable courage when she ventured alone in the middle of the night to investigate the facility filled with decaying animatronics. Sadly, Ashley ignoring her fear and continuing to brave onwords was what led to her death.
  • Lip Losses: It seems that Bon ripped her lips off.
  • He Knows Too Much: As said during the end of TWF 2, she saw something she wasn't supposed to see. It's implied to be the tape titled 'DISCARD', which carries a hit-list order against the people who were originally associated with Bon's Burgers.
  • Idiot Ball: Why did Ashley think going off in the middle of the night while the rest of her co-workers were asleep to investigate a room full of decaying animatronics was a good idea? You'd think a technician would know better.
  • Scream Discretion Shot: We don't see how Ashley dies, but judging by her screams, it wasn't a pleasant experience. Practically confirmed when we see her face post-Billy.
  • The Engineer: she worked as a technician for the B.S.I.; apparently she also proposed the job to Hilary and Kevin.
  • Thoroughly Mistaken Identity: according to some theories it's possible that, in addition to knowing too much, Ashley was killed by Bon after falling into a trap intended for Sophie; it would also appear that, based on the cassette containing the hit-list, Billy was supposed to hide Sophie's body, not Ashley's.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: She's the girly girl to Hilary's tomboy.
  • Too Dumb to Live: You know, having an overnight stay at a definitely-not-haunted abandoned animatronic diner is risky on its own, but wandering alone in the middle of the night into a room full of decaying animatronic parts isn't really the wisest of choices.
  • Youthful Freckles: Ashley had them and was a young adult, probably to emphasize her naivety and determination which unfortunately led her to a horrible death.

    Hilary Barkley and Kevin Woodings
Voiced by: MissCaution (Hilary), Panini (Kevin)

Kevin: "You're just overlooking stuff."
Hilary: "I mean, why would they give us a key with no use whatsoever?"
— Kevin and Hilary talking to Ashley.
The two other B.S.I techs who went to the the K9 unit with Ashley.

    Chris Easteryear
A BSI employee only mentioned by name so far.
  • Ambiguous Situation: The only thing known about him is that he has been working at BSI for at least 8 years; his exact role in the company and whether he'll be important to the story are currently unknown. According to Word of Saint Paul, he's the employee loading Billy into the truck in Relocate Project, but this has yet to be confirmed by the series itself or Word of God.
  • The Ghost: Mentioned by other characters such as Brian and Susan, but has yet to actually make an appearance. Currently the only appearance he makes is in the minigame of the second episode in the form of a sprite and in Martin's previous sketches.
  • Those Two Guys: he probably was this with his friend Richie.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Has left the restaurant earlier than Susan and sent Brian to K-9, allowing both coworkers' tragic deaths to happen.

     Richie
An employee of the B.S.I. who works during the night shift.
  • Butt-Monkey: albeit to a lesser extent: he is not a very bright guy and would appear to be rather lazy; Jack would have intimidated him with his presence to force him to return to work, as well as never giving him one of the many sandwiches that he prepared for other employees in order to reward them.
  • Cloud Cuckoolander: from the statements of Martin and his VA, this would appear to be Richie; it has been said that he would fail at selling weed because he would smoke it all.
  • Lazy Bum: apparently Richie doesn't like working, preferring instead to smoke marijuana; Jack even has to intimidate him to get him back in line.
  • Marijuana Is LSD: Richie loves smoking marijuana, so much so that he hides himself in the bathroom to continue doing it instead of working.
  • No Last Name Given: in a Twitter chat, TWF crew members revealed that Richie's last name could be Ratterson or Cox; however it has not yet been officially declared.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: His VA believes Richie is 17, making him the only minor and the youngest of the group.
  • The Ghost: like Chris, he has yet to appear in the series; he is currently only seen in Martin's sketches and on the "findjackwalten" page.
  • The Stoner: implied: he smokes marijuana and appears to be rather incompetent at his job.
  • Those Two Guys: he probably was this with his friend Chris.

Other Human Characters

    Jenny Letterson

Sometimes you need a friend to get you through tough times.

Voiced by: Izzsplash

"But here's the thing. These glitches are very uh... freaky, if I'm totally honest, that's why I wanted to show you this in the first place."
— Jenny telling Sophie about BunnyFarm's "glitches".
Sophie's girlfriend and room-mate at the hotel, and the one who found the Bunnyfarm arcade machine in the basement. Fast-talking and blissfully unaware of the supernatural.
  • Fiery Redhead: in an understated way, but it seems like Jenny is much more energetic and outgoing than Sophie.
  • Gamer Chick: Jenny seems to know a lot more about games, or at least Bunnyfarm, than Sophie. She even takes the time to show her the controls so she "doesn't have a hard time playing later on."
  • Lipstick Lesbian: Definitely the more feminine in comparison to her girlfriend.
  • Mrs. Exposition: Spends most of her screentime in Bunnyfarm explaining things to Sophie, from BSI's exploits, to recent disappearances, to the game itself, and the... "freaky" glitches that have been cropping up.
  • Nice Girl: Is a sweet, helpful and supportive girlfriend to Sophie.
  • Plucky Girl: she has freckles and is an cheerful, friendly girl.
  • Queer Colors: she is a lesbian girl wearing a colorful sweater.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: the energetic red Oni to the calm blue Oni of Sophie.
  • Rainbow Motif: Jenny wears a colorful sweater that looks very rainbow-like; she is also canonically lesbian.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: In Bunnyfarm, anyway. She's only in the short for a little while before she has to go to bed, but her showing the Bunnyfarm game to Sophie kicks off the plot and leads to some major revelations.
    • Judging from the season one trailer and hidden pages on the findjackwalten website (found by typing her name and Sophie's after the link), Jenny will be stepping up as a supporting character soon.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: The it seems the entire series is happening because she wanted her girlfriend to try out a video game.
  • Youthful Freckles: downplayed version: she is an adult but has freckles, which emphasize her playful nature.

    Anthony
The person writing the descriptions of each Youtube video, and the one uploading them in universe. Appears to exist in present day, as, in Relocate Project, he references avoiding COVID.
  • Author Avatar: May appear to be this, as he is in charge of the Youtube channel.
  • Genre Blindness: Does not comment ONCE about the strange paranormal, disturbing events of any of the videos. He comments that it took weeks to fix the corruption on the Bunnyfarm video, meaning that he has indeed watched it in full. That, or whatever the viewers are seeing in-universe is different to the videos uploaded to the channel. In the description of Cyberfun Tech, he eventually admits he doesn't even watch the footage he's recovering, likely skimming the first mostly harmless segment of each one, assuming that the entire tape is like that, and then just posting them with the video titles being based on whatever the tape is labeled.
  • Horror Host: Shaping up to be this.
  • Mr. Exposition: His only goal appears to be writing about the videos as he uploads them.
  • The Stoner: A newspaper clip on findjackwalten.com/brightonghosts reveals that he dug up multiple graves believing he "saw a ghost by the graves" while under the influence of marijuana.

    Linda Thompson
"What you said to me last week hurt me a lot but it opened my eyes. Hopefully, this opens your eyes too. Our relationship isn't healthy, it never was."
— Linda's message to Felix.
Felix's ex-wife whose diary Sophie finds in Bunnyfarm.
  • Awful Wedded Life: She used to have this with Felix, until she got sick of it and decided to divorce him over his alcoholism.
  • "Dear John" Letter: She left one behind in the form of her last diary entry, where she mentioned that she'd be going to Hurricane and that enough was enough.
  • Destructive Romance: She did love Felix but admits that their relationship wasn't healthy and so decides to leave.
  • Miss Exposition: Through certain pages of her diary, we find out that Molly was born August 23rd, 1965 and that Rocket was made in 1970.
  • Morality Pet: If we go by the "I am sorry, Linda I am so sorry" note in her diary, she was likely Felix's morality pet or Living Emotional Crutch, regardless, her leaving him was one of the events that proved his alcoholism went unchecked for so long.
  • Noodle Incident: Most of her diary pages are redacted, so we don't know what happened but we do know that they likely had something to do with Felix and his drinking.

    Jimmy Stells
Brian's younger brother, of which nothing is yet known.
  • Annoying Younger Sibling: implied, as he and Sophie hate each other.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: chances are he will be if he can make Sophie hate him.
  • The Ghost: apart from one sketch done by Martin, he has yet to appear in the series.
  • Unknown Character: almost nothing is known about him, except that he is Brian Stells' younger brother and that he and Sophie hate each other; he appears to be interested in space given his "Apollo 11" sweatshirt.

     Lily Brooks
Charles' daughter, that he loves and would do anything to make her happy.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: In "Bunnyfarm", in the Boozoo minigame, the birthday girl was a girl named Lily; in the next episode Susan asks Charles how his daughter (who has the same name as the little girl in the video game) is doing. Many fans speculated that it was actually a reference to a possible daughter since Charles possesses Boozoo.
  • The Ghost: like her mom, she has yet to appear in the series.
  • When You Coming Home, Dad?: as in Sophie's case, Lily's father has also disappeared and she doesn't know what happened to him; however, while Jack is still missing (and unknown if he's alive or not), Charles is officially dead and haunts Boozoo's animatronic.

     Emily Brooks
Charles' ex-wife and Lily's mother.
  • Amicable Exes: she apparently remained on good terms with her ex-husband Charles; according to the author, if Charles had not died, they would have gotten back together.
  • The Ghost: like her daughter, she has yet to appear in the series.

Animatronics/Mascots

The Showstoppers

Tropes present in the whole group

    Bon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ew_dagkwgaeoczg.png

Voiced by: Bravvyy/EVA (cartoon), a text-to-speech program (animatronic)

"Oh, don't tell me you guys forgot about today! No? Anyone?"
— Bon during a cutscene of BunnyFarm.

Bon the Bunny is the mascot and face of Bon's Burgers. He's quite an affable individual, prone to joking around, and does what he can to help out his friends.

His actual animatronic self on the other hand, is anything but friendly. For reasons unknown, this robotic entertainer has become a sadistic, determined monster...

  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Wears nothing but a red bowtie, just like his inspiration. In his Bunny Farm appearance, he also wears a straw hat in addition.
  • Ambiguous Situation: Is he possessed by a spirit, reprogrammed by someone into a killer, or both? Muddied even further in episode 4 where his spirit is encountered in Wonderland, but it's unclear who or what exactly Bon is.
  • Ax-Crazy: Murderous and absolutely sadistic with his methods of killing. Dismemberment, mauling, stabbing, and even shoving endoskeleton parts into their bodies are just a few of the confirmed ways he mutilates his victims. The only truly consistent detail however, is that he always ends up gouging out his victims eyes, as every one of his confirmed victims' bodies are depicted as eyeless.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: Possibly. He seems to truly believe that dismembering people and stuffing them into animatronics is making them "beautiful", and doesn't really seem to understand that what he's doing is wrong.
  • Creepy Monotone: Whether it's the TTS voice or his actual voice in Wonderland, Bon somehow manages to pull this off.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Dishes this trope out like candy, horrifically maiming anyone unlucky to get in his way.
  • Determinator: Chases after Brian Stells after he does some maintenance work on him with the intent to kill him...Outside of the K-9 facility, something we've never seen any of the other animatronic terrors do. And he did it just because he thought Brian was Sophie.
  • Dreary Half-Lidded Eyes: Bon usually sports a dopey, half-lidded expression on his face in artwork, both In-Universe and out. His animatronic self, however, gives off the impression of a Smug Smiler in this manner, fittingly for the main antagonist.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: While we don't know if he's truly evil, the TTS voice he uses is quite deep.
    • When Susan encounters him in Wonderland, Bon's voice is no longer a TTS robot, but more human-like. It's still rather deep.
  • Hair-Raising Hare: Naturally.
  • Hero Killer: Has killed numerous people in the series, this includes Susan, Brian and Rosemary.
  • The Heavy: Whenever this guy appears in a video, anyone unfortunate enough to be in the same room as him won't be coming out of the story alive.
  • Jerkass: Bon’s character is an absolute tool, to put it lightly. Especially to poor Banny.
  • Jerkass to One: While the Bon character is — in the words of Martin Walls — a "sarcastic asshole" in general, from "BunnyFarm" onwards he seems to have a noticeable dislike for Banny and treats her much more harshly, being the most irritated towards the latter's antics and often berating her for it. This is best demonstrated in one illustration posted on Martin's Twitter account, which shows Bon angrily grabbing Banny by the ears and yelling at her face. Even in the first episode, Little Bon invites every member of the Showstoppers to his sleepover except Banny.
  • Kick the Dog: His character’s treatment of Banny borders on physical and psychological abuse.
  • Mechanical Animals: The cartoon versions of him maintains the animatronic's withering, making him appear more like a Ridiculously Human Robot given he's still seen getting coffee and suffering from bodily injury.
  • Platonic Life-Partners: With Sha. Out of all the Showstoppers, she and Bon are the ones who appear side-by-side the most in the main series, as well as in both non-canon videos and artwork. While it is ambiguous whether the fictional characters themselves are meant to be an actual Official Couple in-universe, Bon and Sha's interactions in "BunnyFarm" imply that they are very close; whereas Boozoo, Banny, and Billy's respective minigames mostly involve Bon helping them fulfill tasks and chores, Sha's minigame consists of her and Bon playing a friendly game of tag together.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: Not the Bon animatronic itself, but rather Little Bon, the design used in BSI's promotional material, due to his big head, wide eyes, and looking like a child. Doesn't stop him from giving the viewer an unsettling Death Glare in the second episode, however.
  • Scary Teeth: Due to detorioration, his rounded, somewhat goofy teeth have degraded into dull yet pointy chompers, giving him a terrifying smile.
  • Slasher Smile: His animatronic self has a horrific one that seems to never leave his face.
  • Synthetic Voice Actor: His animatronic form is voiced by a TTS program.
  • Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist: His character is this to a T. Bon is a toxic, borderline abusive Jerkass. It’s a wonder why a character like him is made in a franchise for children.
  • Vocal Evolution: until "BunnyFarm", Bon had a rather high-pitched, nasal voice; after that, seems that his official voice is now harder and deeper, making him sound more aggressive when yelling at Banny.
  • You No Take Candle: Speaks in a stilted, blunt manner when discovered by Rosemary, though he seems to speak normally at other times.

    Sha

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sha_the_sheep_animatronic_appearance.jpg
Am I still beautiful to you, Sophie?

Voiced by: Anastasia V. (cartoon), a text-to-speech program (animatronic/Technical Support)

"Well, I'm sure that this party will be much better than last year's, right?"
— Sha during a cutscene of BunnyFarm.
A sheep animatronic with a more human shape and unusual canine teeth.
  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Wears nothing but a dark blue collar with her name on it, occasionally sporting a pretty red flower on her head in cartoon artwork. In her BunnyFarm appearance, however, she is a Fully-Dressed Cartoon Animal wearing a sundress with red and white stripes.
  • Author Avatar: Rosemary appears to have based it on herself and used it as a self-insert; all of which turns out to be sadly ironic after she is killed by Bon and her body hidden inside Sha's animatronic.
  • Bloody Horror: After she delivers the already disturbing line "But on the inside, it felt like every single part of her body was bleeding", it cuts to her twitching and covered in blood
  • Butter Face: While she was somewhat cute and easy on the eyes when Bon’s Burgers was in its’ heyday, now she looks quite worse for wear, with her left eyehole being torn open and her jaw being dislocated. Her body looking mostly intact, minus the rips and tears.
  • Dreary Half-Lidded Eyes: Much like Bon, Sha tends to have a half-lidded expression on her face. In-Universe, this is likely meant to give her the friendly and gentle appearance of a Sweet Sheep.
  • Fan Disservice: A fluffy, cute and feminine sheep animatronic with a somewhat curvaceous shape... that is also decrepit, worn-out, and possessed by a dead woman in complete agony.
  • Hartman Hips: Yes, you read that right. A quick comparison shows that Sha does have much wider hips than the others, even Banny.
  • The Heart: Sha the mascot is described as being the kindest member of the Showstoppers.
  • Morality Pet: The In-Universe Sha acts as this to Bon, who generally acts like a Jerkass to most people but enjoys hanging out with her.
  • Odd Name Out: The only named animatronic character whose name doesn't begin with the letter "B".
  • Sdrawkcab Speech: From Relocate Project:
"Rosemary would go to the restaurant every night hoping that her beloved husband would reappear after being missing for weeks, but no response, until one day she heard a voice saying, 'I know where she is Rosie' coming from the backstage."
  • Southern Belle: Sha's characterization in her "BunnyFarm" appearance is very akin to the Bonne Belle variant of the archetype, with her kindhearted demeanor and soothing Southern accent being in line with her portrayal as a Sweet Sheep.
  • Sweet Sheep: Her In-Universe personality; in "BunnyFarm", Sha is shown to be a very kind and motherly character, and Martin Walls stated that she acts nice to everyone around her.
  • Synthetic Voice Actor: Both her chibi form from Technical Support and her animatronic form are voiced by a TTS program.

    Boozoo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/boozoo_the_magician_animatronic_appearance.jpg

Voiced by: Kyle DeNigris (cartoon/main series), Vivian/SmokeyDream_ (Boozoo's Ghosts)

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! Step right up! Get ready for entertainment like you've never seen before!"
— Boozoo during a cutscene of BunnyFarm.
A humanoid magician animatronic.
  • Blush Sticker: Has orange ones.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: In Boozoo's Ghosts, he suffers a particularly horrifying and visceral death at the hands of Mortality. Even though it's non-canon and unrelated to the story, it was still pretty gruesome.
  • Evil Counterpart: Ebenezer Boozoo is for the original Boozoo: while the first is stingy and a total jerkass with his employees, the other one is friendly and ready to help his friends.
  • Nightmare Face: Has one that is particularly disturbing in BunnyFarm.
  • Out of Focus: When the series started, he was, as he didn't get many uncanny moments in the first two episodes, though Bunny Farm changed that rather quickly.
  • Red Oni,Blue Oni: Boozoo is the Red Oni (cheerful and kind) to Ebenezer Boozoo' Blue Oni (evil and cold).
  • Repulsive Ringmaster: Though his design takes more cues from a magician, he still looks quite the part, and introduces himself to an audience just like one in "BunnyFarm". Somewhat zigzagged in that his original concept as a ringmaster wasn't evil, he's evil because he's Haunted Technology.
  • The Scrooge: Plays this role in the non-canon Christmas special Boozoo's Ghosts, as Ebenezer Boozoo, a more soft-spoken yet greedy and selfish version of himself.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Wears a red tuxedo in the main series and a blue suit in Boozoo's Ghosts.
  • Token Human: Along with Billy, he is the only other human character in a cast mainly composed of Funny Animals.

    Banny

"YESSS BARN ADVENTUREE!! I LOVE BARNS I WANNA SEE THE PIGS AND THE CHICKENS AND THE ANIMALS AND THE BARNS AND THE PIGS"
— Banny during a cutscene of BunnyFarm.
The second rabbit animatronic of the Showstoppers.
  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Only wears a pink bowtie in the main series and a brown cap and bowtie with a white collar in Boozoo's Ghosts.
  • Ambiguously Gay: In BunnyFarm, when Holly, a female horse that works as a farmer, introduces herself in the cutscene before Banny's level, Banny says "Whoa! Pretty horse girl!" as her entire face turns red as she looks at her. Eventually confirmed by Word of Gay.
  • Blush Sticker: Has bright pink ones.
  • Butt-Monkey: Poor Banny is constantly mistreated and gets the short end of the stick in the cartoons.
  • Distaff Counterpart: When it comes to overall looks and design, she looks just like a purple-and-white Bon save for the Tertiary Sexual Characteristics such as long eyelashes, pink cheeks and bow.
  • Genki Girl: An implied example. Banny's animatronic self tends to sport a notably wide-eyed expression that looks outright manic, in contrast to the Dreary Half-Lidded Eyes most of her bandmates have, and she is often portrayed as peppy, energetic, and cheerful in Martin Wall's artwork. Bunny Farm eventually establishes this as the Banny character's actual, In-Universe personality, with Banny's voice fittingly being a high-pitched one reminiscent of Minnie Mouse and Pinkie Pie.
Bon: Oh, don't tell me you guys forgot about today. No? Anyone?
Banny: OH OH I KNOW ASK ME PLEASE ASK ME
Bon: Anyone else asides from Banny?
  • Hair-Raising Hare: Of course.
  • Lipstick Lesbian: Is a pretty feminine Genki Girl who has a crush on horse girl.
  • Motor Mouth: Fitting of her Genki Girl personality, when she gets especially excitable she tends to start speaking a mile a minute, at one point needing to actually stop and take a deep breath.
  • Nice Girl: Banny’s character is a very sweet Genki Girl who doesn’t have a mean bone in her body.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Downplayed. Her fur is purple, and she’s likely capable of all the other horrific things the others can do, but she hasn’t done anything to really prove the “powerful” part.
  • Tragic Monster: Even more so than the other haunted animatronics, seemingly. A small portion of Relocate Project focuses on a simplistic, toon version of her desperately struggling to escape a room, while a TTS voice speaks about how “the bunny rabbit is starving”. This, coupled with the way Banny turns to the viewer and begins to cry, as if asking for help, paints an oddly saddening picture.

    Billy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eg1a_ngvgaawh_g.jpg

Voiced by: Manny204553 (both cartoon and animatronic)

"I'm supposed to start this party but most of the stuff I need is located in ridiculously complex puzzles... Say, could you help me out and solve the puzzles?"
— Billy during a cutscene of BunnyFarm.
An older model clown animatronic.
  • The Cameo: In The Mysterious House, he appears as one of the friends of Witch Sheep in a more colorful outfit and facepaint, but doesn't ever speak or do anything noteworthy.
  • Creepy High-Pitched Voice: His animatronic voice certainly is very high, and very uncanny.
  • Forgettable Character: Downplayed; In-Universe Billy generally gets along with the rest of the band just fine, but Bon constantly forgets he's a part of the group to the point he often misremembers his name.
  • Monster Clown: A robotic one, to be exact.
  • Perpetual Smiler: A very special case. While the other animatronics can use their jaws and eyelids to invoke certain facial expressions, Billy only has a rubbery face with black empty eyes and a small grin, meaning he physically can’t change expressions.
  • Repetitive Audio Glitch: This happens to both Billy's song just before it starts playing the hit list and his dialogue after Ashley's death.
"Things are gonna be great- great- great- greeeeeaaaaaaaa-a-a-a-"
"Hello! I'm Billy-ly-ly-ly-ly the funny loony clown. Can I-I-I- can I-I- sing you a song?"
  • Sdrawkcab Speech: From Relocate Project:
"The boy went to college, filled with knowledge, but never with Walten."
  • Sixth Ranger: In-Universe; he isn't mentioned in the line up of animatronics on the Company Introductory Tape dated 1974, and was silently added to the main group during the failed Relocate Project around 1974-79. This explains the almost pristine condition of his animatronic form compared to his older bandmates.
  • Stealth Hi/Bye: Pulls one off in Bunny Farm's intro scene, much to Banny's surprise.
Billy: (Appears out of absolutely nowhere) BILLY.
    Banny: WHAT.
  • Token Human: Along with Boozoo, he is the only other human character in a cast mainly composed of Funny Animals.

Other

    "Bon" (UNMARKED SPOILERS)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_2024_02_10_103656976.png
Pleasure to meet you. My name is..."Bon"...

Voiced by: Bravvyy/EVA

"Don't you worry...you're in safe hands...Susan. Welcome...to Wonderland. Your new home. Isn't it...beautiful?"
—"Bon" welcoming the spirit of Susan Wooding to her new existence in CyberFun Tech.

A mysterious entity that is the force possessing the Bon animatronic and making it commit his violent acts in an effort to "Fix" his victims and make them "Beautiful", and the seemingly dominant force in the place where spirits arrive in, that it calls "Wonderland". Was formally introduced in Episode 4 "CyberFun Tech", but has been in the background of some shots during the series, and was most prominently present in the deepest depths of the FindJackWalten website.

  • Ambiguously Human: Looks human for the most part... but something is profoundly... off about "Bon". He seems to wildly change in height, from being eye level with Susan, to greatly hunching down over her, with arms that wildly change from average length, to unnaturally long. Then there's his face, which looks completely mutilated not unlike that of his victims. And that's not getting into the fact that he seems to have intimate knowledge of spirits, how long they last after death, and how to bind one to an object to keep them rooted in the land of the living. The confirmation that Bon seems to be supernatural in origin also makes one wonder if he was ever human to begin with, with the only indication he was being that he mentions being scared when he first worked out how to tether himself to a body.
  • Big Bad: As the spirit possessing the Bon animatronic, and thus being the one behind all the murders so far, he serves as the series' main antagonist.
  • Dissonant Serenity: He constantly speaks with a serenely calm and wistful tone, even as talks about how he's the one who murdered Susan right to her face.
  • The Dreaded: Whatever he is, it's very obvious that Edd & Molly are afraid of him. As when Susan arrives, Molly seems desperate to find her, not wanting her to be hurt anymore after what "he" did to her. While Edd is clearly against the idea at first, but relents at Molly saying how Susan "doesn't deserve this", under the condition that they stay quiet and hurry. But after "Bon" gets to her first, the two are entirely absent from the rest of the scene, not returning until a couple seconds after "Bon" leaves, and both sound clearly fearful for Susan.
  • Lack of Empathy: While he believes he is "Fixing" people and making them "beautiful", he seems to be terrifyingly aware that he is gruesomely killing people with what he does. He just plainly does not care.
"Bon": Apologies for what I had to do to you. But, look. The hard part is over with now. Besides...you can't make an omelette...without breaking a few eggs.
  • Sinister Whistling: Makes it's arrival known with a serene whistling of "The Blue Danube" by Johann Strauss
  • Villain in a White Suit: He dons a white suit, but except for his tie, it is barely visible as the rest of his body is also white.
  • Walking Spoiler: The reveal of it's existence, with the fact that the spirit possessing Bon is NOT Jack, is a major revelation for the series; and he brings with him many answers about the nature of what's going on with the spirits of this setting.
  • White Is Pure: Horribly subverted because all we see of him is admitting how much he enjoys savagely murdering innocent people for the sake of making them look more "beautiful", not to mention that he "apologies" to Susan for getting her in a twisted physical fate and then downplays it by claiming the "hard part" is over.

    Rocket Bunny

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ogfj6b1.jpg
You finally start to remember that old doll.

Voiced by: Martin Walls (cartoon), a text-to-speech program (backwards message)

"Hello Bon, I'm so glad you're here to help me clean the corn maze."
— Rocket during a "cutscene" of BunnyFarm.
An animatronic doll created by Jack Walten for his kids Edd and Molly.
  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Wears nothing but a blue bowtie.
  • Ambiguous Situation: It’s not clear how big Rocket is supposed to be, or where he is now. There’s a puppet of him hanging in the K-9 facility that’s roughly the size of the other animatronics, but the Bunnyfarm flashbacks and other images show him to fit in a chair and be carried by at least one child. Finding out the truth will likely reveal where he is as well.
    • The season one trailer implies that Rocket is the size of a child given how he fits on a chair within a seemingly household room, and is confirmed by the aft-titled hidden findjackwalten website page.
  • Ambiguously Evil: The altered hippo statue plaque that blinks in and out acts as both an obituary for Edd and Molly, but also has them talking about missing Sophie and being sad they can't remember her while promising they would "see her soon" and be "together forever and ever." For a series centered around people possessing animatronics after being brutally murdered and stuffed into them, this is...concerning.
  • Dreary Half-Lidded Eyes: While many animatronics/mascots in The Walten Files are often depicted with these, Rocket in particular is shown to always have them, whether in animatronic doll, cartoon, or game sprite form.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Rocket Bunny makes two separate appearances before his proper introduction in Bunnyfarm:
  • Hair-Raising Hare: Indeed.
  • Haunting the Guilty: Episode 4 seems to give off this impression, as even after Felix finally came clean to Jack and Rosemary about their lost son and daughter, Rocket still kept showing up in rooms with him, as if they're a constant reminder of his tragic mistake.
  • Sdrawkcab Speech: From Company Introductory Tape:
"You finally start to remember that old doll. They'll be back for you soon, Sophie."
  • Sharing a Body: It's implied that Molly and Edd are both possessing him at the same time. Flatout confirmed in Cyberfun Tech. They both are not only possesing Rocket but they are able to see directly through him and to some degree talk to others considering that they briefly try to do so with Felix.
  • Synthetic Voice Actor: His backwards message is voiced by a TTS program.

There's still something you forgot to remember.

Voiced by: ThunderingStatic

"Come one and come all, welcome to my magic fountain of memories! Step right up and enter your most repressed experiences and get ready to be amazed by my magic."
— Showbear's introduction.
A mysterious bear character that looks somewhat like a polar bear and clown.
  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Wears a black top hat and bowtie with red buttons.
  • Blush Sticker: Has dark red ones.
  • Creepy Good: Even though he seems to be on the side of "good" in this story, he still has a wide, discomforting Slasher Smile.
  • Dreary Half-Lidded Eyes: Hard to notice at first, but artwork done by Martin portrays him with them.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Prior to making his first proper appearance in "BunnyFarm", Showbear can actually be found in "Relocate Project" as a cartoony cardboard cutout of himself. He is also heavily implied to be the voice addressing Sophie in the hidden video "Lucky You".
  • Face of a Thug: Has the same horrific look as the other animatronics, but does not try to hurt Sophie in any way shape or form.
  • The Watcher: Is almost always hidden just out of plain sight, and seems to be firmly devoted to helping Sophie.
  • Token Good Teammate: Possibly judging by the reversed message he leaves in Episode 1, he's trying to warn Sophie of Rocket Bunny (who contains the souls of her deceased siblings Edd and Molly) eventually coming for her.
  • White Sheep: The only animatronic in the entire series who is not hostile or murderous, since Rocket Bunny is more on the Ambiguously Evil side.

    Pete the Hippo
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/petethehippo.jpg
Apples!

"Say! Why don't you guys do me some small favors and I'll give ya all the fruits you need?"
— Pete during a cutscene of BunnyFarm.
A hippo character that shows up in BunnyFarm.
  • One-Word Vocabulary: Downplayed. He talks normally in the cutscenes, but whenever Sophie interacts with him he only says "apples".
  • Overalls and Gingham: Owns a farm and wears a pair of green overalls.

    Holly the Horse
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hollythehorse.jpg
Why hello there!

Voiced by: Panini

"Alright, I need you to pay attention to what I say and follow the instructions I give you. Okay, so, first of all, do NOT open the cages unless I tell you to."
— Holly during a cutscene of BunnyFarm.
A horse woman who shows up in BunnyFarm.
  • Ambiguously Gay: Due to her reaction to seeing her, Banny has been speculated to perhaps have a crush on her. There was no indication of Holly's feelings though, so the rest is headcanon. Though in the plushy commercial, Bon is seen talking to his love interest Sha, while Banny is speaking to her, implying a relationship.
  • A Lizard Named "Liz": She's, "Holly the Horse," after all, with her name having the first two letters of her species.

    Johnny the Hippo
Pete's brother appearing in BunnyFarm.
  • Delicious Distraction: Sophie has to distract him with a bucket of fried chicken in order to get the key under the couch he was sleeping on.
  • Heavy Sleeper: He can't be waken up until the bucket of chicken is placed in front of him.

Holiday Special Characters (Non-Canon)

The Mysterious House

    Duckie and Tammy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cirvwan.jpg
Two unfortunate souls.

Voiced by: Bravvyy/EVA (Duckie), Pinkuvelvet (Tammy)

Duckie: "Aw man! This year's Halloween sucks! We barely got any candy!"
Tammy: "Maybe it's because your costume looks cheap and basic! What kind of ghost looks like that?! You didn't even try!"
— Their first lines of dialogue in The Mysterious House.
Two kids that disappear at Pumpkin Rabbit's House.
  • Bedsheet Ghost: Duckie's costume, though the fact it seems to be made from a picnic blanket makes it far less effective.
  • The Cameo: Duckie appears briefly on a piece of merchandise in Relocate Project.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Pumpkin Rabbit appears to have heavily mutilated Duckie and ripped his beak off whilst Tammy seems to have had her eyes gouged out. These poor kids' deaths were not pleasant.
  • Curiosity Killed the Cast: If you look closely at the victims in the room, not all the kids shown in TVA's pictures are there. Ducky and Tammy would still be alive if they stayed in bed and didn't explore the house.
  • Death of a Child: Their ultimate, tragic fate.
  • Establishing Character Moment: The two are introduced pinning their slow Trick-or-Treating spree on the other, calling out each other's costumes before Duckie calms Tammy down, reassuring her that there's plenty of time left to get more candy. This shows how they value their friendship.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: While not actually related, they have this dynamic, with Tammy being the foolish (and Genre Blind) one and Duckie being the responsible one.
  • Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: Duckie wears pink pants but no shirt, while Tammy wears a yellow vest and white button up shirt underneath, but no pants.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Tammy is irresponsible and insults Duckie’s costume, but she values his friendship and is horrified by his horrifying death.
  • Lured into a Trap: Unclear if this happened to Duckie, but Tammy was lured into a trap by Pumpkin Rabbit imitating Duckie's voice.
  • Mythology Gag: Their very existence serves as one, as they were both planned to be enemies in Welcome to Bon's Burgers, a FNaF Fangame which was canceled and then "recycled" into The Walten Files.
  • Nice Guy: Duckie is a sweet, cautious little thing.
  • Out-of-Character Moment: Duckie's decision to get up in the middle of the night and wander around the house.
    • However, given his cautious nature and Pumpkin Rabbit's ability to copy voices, it's less likely he wandered about than he was lured into the back of the house like the rest of the children were.
  • Tears of Fear: Tammy has this at the end.

    Pumpkin Rabbit

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/el8qeksxiaaysil.jpg
What are you doing here?

Voiced by: Martin Walls

"What a naughty child..."
— The Pumpkin Rabbit confronting Tammy.
A rather off looking orange rabbit with a orange face and bunny you'd be better off not leaving your kids with.
  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Wears a purple bowtie and a bright yellow mask.
  • Ax-Crazy: His calm demeanor does nothing to mask the sadistic, child murdering bastard that he is.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Manages to kill both Duckie and Tammy, free to commit more murders.
  • Big Bad: Of "The Mysterious House".
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: Perhaps. He claimed he needed to punish Tammy and Duckie for wandering around the house. Given that not all the children shown in the pictures are dead, he may only target those he deems "troublemakers"- even when he's the reason they're wandering around in the first place.
  • Catchphrase: Fond of using the words, "Little Children".
  • Creepy Monotone: His voice rarely changes inflection.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Has a deep voice, similar to Bon's TTS voice, and unlike his canon counterpart, is unambiguously evil.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He has a calm, quiet, almost polite way of talking, even when in a room full of dead children, just as he is preparing to claim another victim.
  • Hair-Raising Hare: Certainly.
  • He Knows Too Much: He kills Tammy due to her seeing the room with the corpses.
  • Hero Killer: He killed Tammy and Duckie by the end of the short.
  • Hostile Animatronics: Unlike Duckie, Tammy, and the rest of the children, Pumpkin Rabbit is shown to be an animatronic in the end, in the worst way possible.
  • Karma Houdini: He gets away with murdering the heroes.
  • Knight of Cerebus: The most wicked and evil character in the entire series, so far.
  • Malevolent Masked Man: This man-sized (perhaps taller) orange bunny wears a cheap yellow mask with a disturbing grin on it, and whether this is in spirit of the Halloween season or if it's his usual attire is unclear. Underneath the mask is an unnervingly realistic Nightmare Face, which the Pumpkin Rabbit reveals as he prepares to "punish" Tammy.
  • Not Even Bothering with the Accent: The credits list Martin Walls himself as Pumpkin Rabbit's voice actor, and if you listen closely through the heavy voice filtering, he speaks with a Hispanic accent.
  • Obviously Evil: This guy screamed bad news since the very beginning, with the music cutting out once he's introduced, to his voice, to the very fact that he's a rabbit who looks like Bon. But just what he does is not so obvious...
  • Pet the Dog: POSSIBLY. Not all of the children in the photos are accounted for in the room with the bodies, implying that he might actually spare those who don’t wander the house and give him the excuse to "punish" them.
  • Serial Killer: He and Witch Sheep murdered upwards of five children on Halloween Day before Duckie and Tammy dating back to 1975. This is evident by the panover of pictures we see on the wall that Pumpkin Rabbit took as mementos of his victims with Johnny Bear notably being the most recent child killing. It's very likely that he will continue murdering children after he murdered Tammy and Duckie by the end of the short.
  • Soft-Spoken Sadist: Speaks in a chilling, quiet voice that makes it clear that he's not as friendly as he makes himself seem.
  • Walking Spoiler: As if the many spoiler marks didn't give it out.
  • Would Hurt a Child: He's been killing children as far back as 1975, with both Duckie and Tammy being the most recent victims of his...

    Witch Sheep

Voiced by: A text-to-speech program

"Don't you think it's a bit dangerous for two kids like you to be wandering around the streets at this hour?"
— Witch Sheep convincing Duckie and Tammy to stay.
A ewe with black hair. She looks similar to Sha, except for the horns and spiked choker.
  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Wears a purple Witch hat as well as a spiked choker.
  • Affably Evil: Just like Pumpkin Rabbit, she's extremely polite and kind to her guests, yet she assists him with his murderous pastime.
  • Ambiguous Situation: It's never specified what her relationship with Pumpkin Rabbit is exactly aside for being partners in crime.
  • Hostile Animatronics: Like Pumpkin Rabbit, she's not exactly organic, nor friendly.
  • Serial Killer: She aids Pumpkin Rabbit in his killings, appearing to be very nice and kind to the children but once Tammy begins searching through the backrooms for Duckie, you see Witch Sheep emerging from the darkness and quietly creeping up behind Tammy each time she opens each door. Eventually, you can see a brief creepy glimspe of Witch Sheep shutting the door behind Tammy in the last room to trap her with Pumpkin Rabbit.
  • Synthetic Voice Actor: She's voiced by a TTS program.

    TVA

HELLO.

Voiced by: A text-to-speech program

An anthropomorphic TV.

  • Remember the New Guy?: Is shown as a friend of Mysterious House's version of Bon, Sha, and Billy, and yet has no known canon counterpart so far.
    • Though that seems to no longer be the case with the introduction of Cyber-Telly in Cyberfun Tech.
  • Hostile Animatronics: Hinted at.
  • Synthetic Voice Actor: Voiced by a TTS program.

Boozoo's Ghosts

    Sad Ghost of Past Experiences

Don't lie to me...

Voiced by: Martin Walls

"Sometimes our past can lead up to our future actions. You've done bad stuff, but there's still some time to fix your mistakes."
— The Sad Ghost talking to Boozoo.

    Jolly Ghost of Present Times

Tell me. What do you see?

Voiced by: Anastasia V.

"You see, your greed doesn't only affect you. It affects everyone."
— The Jolly Ghost talking to Boozoo.

  • Anthropomorphic Personification: According to her, she is a manifestation of Boozoo's flaws.
"Oh old man... I am your mirror. The reflection of your own flaws. The living representation of your own greed. Except I'm nowhere near as ugly."
  • Faux Affably Evil: Despite her chipper demeanor, bright colors, and eager smile, there is no genuine friendliness or kindness in her, and she spends her time being very vile and sinister.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: She picks up a plush of Boozoo when she first appears. And that's just one of her toys.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: She does one of these to essentially shame Boozoo for being greedy after showing him Banny's foodless and presentless family.

    Ignorance and Want
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wm2xceu.jpg

"They are dying. You're killing them."
— The Jolly Ghost talking to Boozoo about them.

  • I'm Melting!: They die this way. When Boozoo wondered what was happening to them, The Jolly Ghost of Present Times informs him that they're rotting alive.
    Boozoo: ...What's happening to them?!
    Jolly Ghost: Everything rots, Boozoo.
Boozoo: But I don't want them to die! I don't want anyone to die! Please... Please save them, I beg you! Please don't let them die! Please!
Jolly Ghost: Your actions are out of my control, old man.
  • Monster Clown: Both look like deformed clown statues.

    Mortality

Your future awaits.

Voiced by: Bravvyy/EVA

"Oh Boozoo, you still don't understand, do you? This is it. Like everything else in this world, we turn into nothing eventually. It's always been and always will be this way, my friend."
— Mortality during a conversation with Boozoo.
An animatronic rabbit that seems to be death incarnate.
