Main Characters

    General (Unmarked Spoilers)

  • Beat the Curse Out of Him: For all three of them, they manage to fight off the Corruption out of their body by the power of their singing.
    • Boyfriend's teamwork with Soul Boyfriend allows both together to weaken the Corruption's grasp on their head to emerge with control over their body.
    • Girlfriend is freed from the Corruption, by Boyfriend confidently singing towards her and refusing to allow himself to fall for any of her illusions. Through time, the Corruption is weakened enough for it to crack and Girlfriend to be freed out of its control.
    • Pico was saved from the Corruption by receiving a punch to the head by Boyfriend.
  • Mass "Oh, Crap!": All of them are taken aback from feeling the Tank Amalgam slowly rise behind them by the end of "Brainstorm" and the start of "Hivemind".
  • Men Act, Women Are: Boyfriend and Pico are taking active actions to rap battle against the kaiju-sized Tankman that is attacking them. Girlfriend, meanwhile, looks behind the danger and cheers for them without any worries over getting killed.
  • Nice Mean And In Between:
    • Boyfriend is the nicest of the main characters, as he never acts rudely to Pico and Girlfriend.
    • Pico is the mean, since despite getting saved by Boyfriend, he punches his savior in return for getting punched in the face during "Blood Moon".
    • Girlfriend's attitude is in-between by only attempting to take violent options over witnessing Boyfriend get hurt.
  • Pre-Explosion Glow: Whenever their Corruption is either weakening or is on the verge of breaking out of their bodies, a white glow starts emitting. After it finishing glowing, the Corruption is shattered, which frees them all.
  • Staring Down Cthulhu: Other than Girlfriend who is looking behind Tankman and is only cheering, Boyfriend and Pico look towards Tankman to fight him head on. For whatever attacks Tankman throws, Boyfriend continuously raps in "Hivemind" and Pico does his best to fire as many bullets as he can to hurt Tankman.
  • Stealing the Credit: Boyfriend, Pico, and Girlfriend believe themselves to be victorious in having killed the giant Tankman. However, the only reason they "won" the battle is because the Harvester intervened in the sidelines to obliterate Tankman. The Harvester easily took down Tankman by simply snapping their finger and the way Tankman died appeared as though the trio of survivors were the ones that won.
  • Two Guys and a Girl: The trio of protagonists are composed of Boyfriend and Pico as the guys and Girlfriend as the girl that cheers them on.
  • Villain Protagonist: They all once served to the Corruption and were the main playable characters that go around to corrupt the surviving characters. Evil Girlfriend is always with Boyfriend to back him up and Evil Pico is given A Day in the Limelight to rap battle Mommy Mearest, as of Week 10 this no longer applies to any of them.

Just Give Up!
Evil Boyfriend in "Roots"
The Former Villain Protagonist of the game. Rather than be a rapper that raps against his opponents to prove himself worthy for Girlfriend, he instead a major victim of the Corruption and seeks to corrupt every character he encounters. Evil Boyfriend's first victim that he encounters is facing off Pico on top of a building roof.
  • Adaptational Badass: In Friday Night Funkin', according to Word of God, its been stated that Boyfriend is capable of fighting, but the latter is never shown to be directly engaging in combat on the screen. For the Corruption mod, Boyfriend showcases his fighting skills by his abilities to dodge Evil Girlfriend's tentacles in her illusion of pretending to be freed and by avoiding the many powerful attacks Evil Pico utilizes in his Nexus form. In Evil Pico's battle, Boyfriend succeeds in ending the battle in his favor by using his bloodied hand to blind Evil Pico, so that the latter could get a punch in the face.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Originally, Boyfriend was somewhat of a neutral character that primarily seeks to prove himself worthy for Girlfriend. He has no notable heroic acts, other than rap battling opponents for fun and loving Girlfriend. In here, after Boyfriend is freed from the Corruption, he sets himself out to free Girlfriend and Pico from their Corruption.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: Boyfriend used to be a Fearless Fool in Friday Night Funkin', with his mind not caring about the dangers he is put in and is constantly a Smug Smiler when facing it. Here, Boyfriend is aware of the dangerous threats of what the Corruption poses, upon breaking free of the Corruption trapping him inside his mind. He gets to showcase his increased intelligence by noticing something was off about "Girlfriend" being freed so easily, allowing him to dodge before getting hurt. Boyfriend also manages to strategize with Girlfriend on how they could take out Evil Pico's Nexus form together and using his own bullet wound to blind Evil Pico, allowing Boyfriend to punch him right in the face.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Boyfriend is much more villainous that his original counterpart as he is one of the first victims infected with the Corruption. Upon first appearing, he and Girlfriend are shown to be fighting off Pico as their first victim to corrupt. Boyfriend rather than battle his opponents to prove himself worthy for Girlfriend, is now instead rapping his foes as a way to have them infected with the Corruption.
  • A Handful for an Eye: Upon receiving a bullet wound in the hand during "Headshot", Boyfriend utilizes his bloodied hand as a weapon to blind Evil Pico. Before using Boyfriend uses his bloodied hand, he makes sure to test out his strategy first by playing his hand around. Once his idea is ready, Boyfriend makes sure to initiate on blinding Evil Pico with the bloodied hand when the latter attempts to launch a powerful punch.
  • Anti-Regeneration: He struggles to properly heal up his health icon because of Evil Girlfriend's illusions and her draining the energy from his body. Boyfriend losing his energy causes him to tightly clutch on his head from losing his ability to focus on his battle opposing Evil Girlfriend.
  • Autobots, Rock Out!: The music that he and Soul Boyfriend create for Week 8 is that of the Rock genre. The instrumental for their week is on the optimistic side and intense, as they shake their minds off from thinking about the Corruption and to focus on the intense music both are generating. In "Discharge", Boyfriend receives a guitar to play his own Rock music to break free out of the Corruption. Averted in "MEMORY//LEAK", as Boyfriend and Soul Boyfriend sing a more melodic, calm song for their farewell for each other.
  • The Bad Guys Win: Evil Boyfriend's efforts to corrupt every surviving character ends up being in triumph, as every character that has confronted him has always resulted in them losing. Even Pico's attempts to save him from the Corruption end up in vain seeing how Boyfriend's Corruption ended up fully corrupting the latter in the third song. Daddy Dearest, the last surviving character loses to the Evil Boyfriend and his army, due to being forced to confront his own corrupted wife. Unexpectedly, Evil Boyfriend's victory is subverted because of a Sequel Hook teasing Boyfriend eventually taking back control over his own body.
  • Battle Aura: A purple Battle Aura appears behind Boyfriend in "Discharge", and the aura acts as a way for the Corruption to drain Boyfriend's energy to stop him from continuing to sing with Soul Boyfriend.
  • Battle in the Center of the Mind: The battlefield of Week 8 takes place inside the mind of Boyfriend, as the Corruption inside him is slowly weakening with the appearance of Soul Boyfriend. Inside the mind, Soul Boyfriend wakes up Boyfriend, so that they could battle and force the Corruption out of their body.
  • Beat the Curse Out of Him: Usually for battling corrupted victims, Boyfriend uses his singing skills to weaken the Corruption, allowing the corrupted opponent to be given a chance to break free. However, when it comes to defeating Evil Pico in his Nexus form, Boyfriend utilizes violence as a way to win the battle. Boyfriend first blinds Evil Pico with the blood on his palm before proceeding to have Evil Pico punched in the face. With the attack, Boyfriend successfully frees Pico from the Corruption and the latter is ready to start shooting the horde of Tankmen zombies.
  • Being Watched: "Neuroses" has Boyfriend start to lose focus on the battle with Soul Boyfriend and becomes worried from the Corruption spotting them and taking action to intensify the environment. Eventually, the Corruption gets rid of Soul Boyfriend, leaving Boyfriend all alone to confront the Corruption.
  • Black Blood: After being shot in the hand by Evil Pico, Boyfriend lies down on the road seemingly dead and appears to be bleeding Black Blood out of his own hand. When Boyfriend briefly plays around with his hand in "Blood Moon" to test out a plan, it still bleeds Black Blood.
  • The Blank: Evil Boyfriend's icon in Week 6 becomes glitched from having to transfer his corrupted soul inside Hating Simulator. The transaction causes his facial icon to completely disappear, while his body is slowly becoming a darkened version of himself.
  • Blank White Eyes:
    • As Boyfriend approaches "Girlfriend" under the assumption she has been saved from the Corruption in "Allure", "Girlfriend tries to stab him in place. Boyfriend, realizing the danger he is in, dodges at the last second. Whilst dodging, Boyfriend's eyes briefly become white from the shock of being nearly killed.
    • Boyfriend's eyes become white again from the nervousness of the Tank Amalgam rising from the highway railings during the end of "Brainstorm" and the beginning of "Hivemind".
  • Blue with Shock: If he is feeling down and depressed from fighting against the Corruption, his face will turn blue from being too demotivated. He can get out of his blue face if Soul Boyfriend is able to cheer him up with music to regain his willpower.
  • Bullet Catch: Boyfriend celebrates in the midst of battle in "Headshot", and it nearly costs him his life, as Evil Pico shoots him off guard. Fortunately, right before the bullet reaches Boyfriend's head, he catches it with his hand, allowing himself to carrying on his fight against Evil Pico. Sadly for Boyfriend, the bullet nearly drains his health because of the blood loss.
  • Casual Danger Dialogue: When Evil Pico is temporarily resting from the strain of having to use his Nexus form, Girlfriend and Boyfriend take the time to plan about how they could beat Evil Pico in his powered-up state.
  • Catapult Nightmare Inverted. Instead of a nightmare to be awakened from, Boyfriend is catapulted into waking up because of having overpowered the Corruption inside his body. After defeating the Corruption, he and Soul Boyfriend sing one last song together as a farewell, before the latter punches Boyfriend into waking up.
  • The Cavalry: Inverted. Instead of the heroes requiring support, Evil Boyfriend gains a massive army of corrupted victims to use against Daddy Dearest. Despite the huge army thrown at Daddy Dearest, he manages to keep up pretty well, until being forced to fight his wife in the horde. Once Daddy Dearest is in his weakened state, Evil Boyfriend returns to finish him off.
  • Cerebus Call-Back: Back in Friday Night Funkin', Boyfriend sings a string of notes in the tutorial, which acts as an easter egg to throw off new players. In "Deathmatch", Evil Boyfriend sings the same string of notes as a way to flaunt his victory over Daddy Dearest.
  • Cruel Mercy: The Corruption's dialog in "Discharge", has it state that it kept Boyfriend alive because of the latter's loyalty and how his life is owed to the Corruption.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: With the exception of Pico and Senpai, Evil Boyfriend has easily dominated Skid and Daddy Dearest in their weeks.
    • For Skid, he lacks any notable abilities or skills that can help him beat Evil Boyfriend in a rap battle. Along with Skid being outnumbered by three corrupted opponents, Evil Boyfriend easily overpowers and corrupts Skid in the week. "Chiller" in particular has easier note patterns for Evil Boyfriend to sing, practically giving him an easy victory against Skid.
    • Daddy Dearest at first is doing quite well in fighting back Evil Boyfriend and can actually keep up the entire army of Corruption victims. Unfortunately for Daddy Dearest, having to face Mommy Mearest among the horde proves to be too much for him. Once Daddy Dearest crossed the Despair Event Horizon, Evil Boyfriend easily beat Daddy Dearest in the second half of "Deathmatch".
  • Dented Iron: Boyfriend receives a bullet wound in the palm from having celebrated too early in "Headshot", giving Evil Pico an opportunity to shoot him. Boyfriend can still carry on his fight, but it does drain his health and the bullet wound sticks around in "Blood Moon".
  • Don't Celebrate Just Yet: Halfway in "Headshot", Boyfriend celebrates by posing a V-Sign, but Evil Pico takes that opportunity as a chance to have Boyfriend shot. Although Boyfriend protects his head with hand, he gets his health drained in the fight.
  • Dramatic Shattering: Boyfriend and Soul Boyfriend use their guitars to shatter the darkened Mental World that the Corruption had created. The shattering of the environment reveals a White Void Room where there is nothing left. They then use their guitars to smash the white void, which leads into another bright environment for "MEMORY//LEAK".
  • Face of an Angel, Mind of a Demon: His initial sprite appearance in Week 6 looks friendly because of his colorful appearance, but as his soul is being transferred inside Hating Simulator, Boyfriend starts to show his true form. While transforming into his true form, Boyfriend is simultaneously corrupting the game and is gaining the power to have Senpai and Spirit killed inside their game.
  • Flunky Boss: Downplayed. The other corrupted victims that Evil Boyfriend uses to fight Daddy Dearest aren't minions, but bosses themselves. Despite being bosses, it is clear that Evil Boyfriend is the one taking the lead and sings the most in rap battling Daddy Dearest in "Deathmatch".
  • Foregone Victory: Played for Horror. In his corrupted state, he basically defeats any character that chooses to resist the Corruption being infected onto them. As the Villain Protagonist where he is the only playable character for Week 3, 2, 5, and 6, Evil Boyfriend has overpowered all of the victims he has confronted. Evil Boyfriend is ultimately defeated by Boyfriend himself, once the latter is Promoted to Playable in his mission to take back his body. In his normal state, this is downplayed since the corrupted opponents he is facing are still capable of endangering his life, despite overpowering their opposing health icons.
  • Futile Hand Reach: When Soul Boyfriend disappears in "Neuroses", Boyfriend desperately continues to sing as attempts for Soul Boyfriend to return back into his mind. Once singing for Soul Boyfriend fails, Boyfriend reaches his hand into the void for Soul Boyfriend, but not responses were made.
  • Glitch Entity: Evil Boyfriend shoves himself inside Hating Simulator, so he would corrupt Senpai's world and gain the admin controls to have Senpai deleted. As Evil Boyfriend's soul is slowly transferred inside the game, he slowly starts to become a dark, Glitch Entity that threatens the existence of Senpai and Spirit.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom:
    • As Glitch Boyfriend in Hating Simulator, he gains the Glowing Eyes of Doom by having his soul be transferred into the game. The more that Glitch Boyfriend's soul is transferred, he starts to look like a malevolent Glitch Entity with glowing white eyes, signifying that his powers are growing.
    • Initially, Evil Boyfriend only had pink eyes when he fought Pico and Skid to have corrupted. Though in Week 7, Evil Boyfriend's eyes are constantly glowing white as he stares down Daddy Dearest in battle.
  • Go Mad from the Isolation: Downplayed. He doesn't become unstable inside the depths of his mind, but without Soul Boyfriend with him, Boyfriend loses his hope to firmly oppose the Corruption. To combat the loneliness inside his mind, Boyfriend resorts to singing a lonely tune to call Soul Boyfriend back.
  • Gotta Get Your Head Together:
    • Boyfriend's corrupted self in "Tormentor" is holding his head from having to watch Boyfriend himself and Soul Boyfriend playing music inside the mind to break free of the Corruption. The music Boyfriend and Soul Boyfriend are playing irritates Evil Boyfriend from being unable to stop them.
    • The illusions Evil Girlfriend casts in "Estranged" quickly overwhelms Boyfriend's will to counter her attacks. With the illusions sucking away his energy and his mind, Boyfriend is forced to hold onto his head, so he could focus on retaliating Evil Girlfriend's tricks.
  • The Heavy: Combined with being the Villain Protagonist of the Corruption, Evil Boyfriend is given the most focus in his goals to corrupt every FNF character. He serves as the main opponent for Pico, Skid, and especially Daddy Dearest. While the other corrupted victims get to fight Daddy Dearest, Evil Boyfriend is clearly taking the lead in having Daddy Dearest corrupted.
  • Heroic BSoD:
    • Boyfriend loses his ability to continue fighting back from the Corruption inside his body when the Corruption inside him removes Soul Boyfriend. Without Soul Boyfriend, Boyfriend temporarily gives up singing, until he later calls Soul Boyfriend back in "Strength of Will".
    • He is frequently nervous in "Allure" and "Estranged", as Evil Girlfriend's illusion is clouding his progress on saving Girlfriend from the Corruption. Boyfriend nearly loses hope when Evil Girlfriend makes herself look like she got fully corrupted again, so that Boyfriend's efforts were All From Nothing.
  • Hero Killer: Out of all the corrupted victims, Evil Boyfriend proves to be the most active in corrupting the entire FNF cast. Every character that has attempted to resist his Corruption have all fallen in battle and are always corrupted in the end of their week. As for Senpai and Spirit, Evil Boyfriend instead chooses to kill them, rather than focus on having the both of them corrupted.
  • Heroic Resolve: Whenever Boyfriend is slowly losing hope during his battle against the Corruption, Soul Boyfriend's encouragement and rocking skills can jumpstart his confidence back to resume fighting.
    • By the end of "Neuroses", Boyfriend loses the will to reclaim control over his body, due to Soul Boyfriend leaving him. Fortunately, Boyfriend succeeds in calling Soul Boyfriend back in "Strength of Will", leading to the both of them singing "Discharge" to overpower the Corruption holding them.
    • During the first half of "Estranged", Boyfriend slowly loses hope in his ability to free Girlfriend from the Corruption and her illusions are rapidly deteriorating his sanity. At Boyfriend's lowest point, he manages to regain his desire to continue fighting because of Soul Boyfriend's appearance to cheer him on.
  • Hero Protagonist: Week 3, 2, 6, and 7 portray Boyfriend as a Villain Protagonist that constantly succeeds in corrupting every character he is faced with. Boyfriend as one of the early victims infected with the Corruption has him be taking on this villainous role, until coming up in Week 8. For Week 8, Boyfriend in his uncorrupted form is battling the Corruption controlling him and is doing so with the help of Soul Boyfriend. Once they both succeed in freeing themselves from the infection, Boyfriend takes on the role as the Hero Protagonist by freeing the victims trapped within the Corruption.
  • Hope Spot: The second song of Week 3 brings hope that Boyfriend might break free of his Corruption with the help of Pico uncorrupting him. This sadly doesn't turn out to be the case, as Boyfriend reverts back into his completely corrupted self in "Full Clip" and Pico's Corruption has gotten worse.
  • Idiot Hero: After being freed from the corruption, Boyfriend goes back to being just as dumb as he normally is, happily posing in the middle of his confrontation with the corrupted Pico as he's still trying to kill him. He gets shot in the hand for his troubles.
  • The Immune: Implied. Unlike the other characters who have faced the Corruption and had a part of their bodies affected by the virus, Boyfriend after breaking out of his Corruption doesn't seem to be affected by it anymore. Despite losing his mind in Evil Girlfriend's illusions, he doesn't appear to be getting corrupted and is faring better at uncorrupting her when compared to the previous characters who have fallen from the Corruption.
  • Impaled Palm: As Evil Pico points his gun at him, Boyfriend defends his head from getting shot by using his hand as a type of shield against the speeding bullet. Boyfriend's hand gets impaled by the bullet and is bleeding badly, but he at least survives and can keep going to rap battle Evil Pico.
  • Instant Waking Skills:
    • Inside the depths of his mind, Boyfriend is sleeping soundly from the influence of the Corruption, but once Soul Boyfriend shouts to wake up, Boyfriend quickly gets up and is ready to rap as a Smug Smiler confident for victory.
    • When he succeeds in making his escape from the Corruption taking hold of his body, Boyfriend is awakened to the real reality and is not at all feeling groggy. He tosses his microphone on the air from having awoken himself so quickly and catches it to quickly celebrate his victory.
  • Interface Screw: His battle with Soul Boyfriend in Week 8 may become difficult to play in "Discharge" and "MEMORY//LEAK", as the songs have mechanics that can confuse players.
    • "Discharge" will have Boyfriend's four arrow keys be switched into three circles that are similar to Guitar Hero. The lack of a fourth note receptor can confuse players when they have to switch into three receptors.
    • "MEMORY//LEAK" has the entire screen be occasionally split from Boyfriend floating around in the sky as he says his farewell to Soul Boyfriend. To make hitting the arrows even harder, since the receptors become invisible in the song.
  • Invincible Villain: As Evil Boyfriend, he is portrayed as an Invincible Villain that can defeat any uncorrupted victim that chooses to oppose him. While Pico got close to uncorrupting him, Evil Boyfriend reverts back into his completely corrupted state in the last song and gets Pico corrupted by the end of their fight. Despite Senpai and Spirit's attempts to kill him, Evil Boyfriend successfully transfers his soul inside their game, eventually acquiring the admin commands to delete them. Although Daddy Dearest was indeed stronger than him, Evil Mommy Mearest is what breaks his will to fight forward, allowing Evil Boyfriend to overpower the last victim. Soon after the Corruption of Daddy Dearest, Evil Boyfriend is proven to be Not So Invincible After All, with Boyfriend making his appearance to take regain control of his body once again.
  • I Will Find You: "Strength of Will" has Boyfriend singing all alone as his desperate pleas for Soul Boyfriend to return back to his mind, so they could both rap together in beating the Corruption. By singing, the Corruption threatens Boyfriend to stop thinking about Soul Boyfriend, but the former refuses to give up, until Soul Boyfriend is back. Fortunately, Boyfriend's efforts overpower the Corruption's words and Soul Boyfriend returns with a brand-new guitar for him to use for "Discharge".
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: Evil Boyfriend is constantly dominating all of the characters who have attempted to resist his corruption or have tried to free him. In the end of all his battles, Evil Boyfriend emerges victorious and is never punished for his actions. Not even Daddy Dearest, the last victim is enough to stop his rampage. Thankfully, Evil Boyfriend gets what's coming to him, with Boyfriend awakened from his mind to confront the Corruption possessing him. Boyfriend and Soul Boyfriend's rocking is successful in eliminating all of the Corruption in their body, thereby preventing Evil Boyfriend from reigning free on their body.
  • Light Is Good: Inside his mind, Boyfriend looks just as colorful as his normal self, since in the depths of his mind, he is working with Soul Boyfriend to free themselves from the Corruption. As they make progress in uncorrupting their body, bright lights begin to form around their environment, signifying that the Corruption is gradually growing weaker. In "MEMORY//LEAK", the initial dark background from the previous songs is now replaced with a shining environment because of Boyfriend being finally free from the Corruption and taking his time to say goodbye for Soul Boyfriend.
  • Light Is Not Good: His colorful appearance on Week 6 can appear deceiving towards the viewers and Senpai, as Evil Boyfriend looks exactly like Boyfriend's normal pixelated sprite. However, despite Evil Boyfriend's seemingly friendly appearance, his dialog inside Hating Simulator proves that he is transferring his soul into the game and his initial colorful appearance is slowly transforming into a dark, malevolent, Glitch Entity. Once the soul is fully transferred into the game, Evil Boyfriend is able to gain full admin controls to have Senpai and Spirit deleted.
  • Near-Villain Victory:
    • The first five weeks of the Corruption mod result in Evil Boyfriend succeeding in overpowering the entire world with the Corruption. However, deep inside the mind, Boyfriend is awakened by Soul Boyfriend and is given the chance to stop the Corruption from fully corrupting the world and his body.
    • In "Neuroses", The Corruption spots Boyfriend and Soul Boyfriend's efforts to free themselves from it. In retaliation from their singing, the Corruption takes away Soul Boyfriend so that Boyfriend would lose hope. The Corruption nearly succeeds in bringing down Boyfriend's faith, but its plan ends up failing in "Strength of Will". "Strength of Will" has Boyfriend succeed in calling back Soul Boyfriend, but the Corruption refuses them to leave the depths of their mind. As one last measure to defeat Boyfriend, the Corruption tells Boyfriend lies on how his friends are already gone and creates a purple aura to demotivate him. Luckily for Boyfriend, he still succeeds in thwarting the Corruption's efforts through the remembrance of his friends and Soul Boyfriend's words of encouragements.
  • Non-Lethal K.O.: Near the end of "Blood Moon", Boyfriend uses the blood on his hand to blind Evil Pico's eyes, so that he could punch Evil Pico's face. Boyfriend's punch on Pico results in the Corruption getting completely shattered and it briefly knocks out Pico for a few seconds. Once Pico wakes up from the attack, he is ready to blast the incoming horde of Tankmen zombies.
  • Not Quite Dead: Throughout "Tormentor" and the first half of "Neuroses", the Corruption appears to be dead, due to Evil Boyfriend clutching his head in pain from Soul Boyfriend and Boyfriend singing inside the mind. However, the Corruption ends up awakening the Glowing Eyes of Doom of Evil Boyfriend to directly stare at Boyfriend and Soul Boyfriend. With Evil Boyfriend staring, the Corruption begins to taking action to shut down the efforts of Boyfriend and Soul Boyfriend's attempts at escaping.
  • Not So Invincible After All: In all the battles that Evil Boyfriend has gone through, he has overpowered every single opponent that has tried to resist his Corruption. In spite of his victories, Daddy Dearest ends up his last and only obstacle to require The Cavalry of corrupted victims to beat. Even when Daddy Dearest fell in battle, Evil Boyfriend is ultimately beaten in battle with the teamwork of Boyfriend and Soul Boyfriend singing inside their mind.
  • Our Hero Is Dead: In "Headshot", Boyfriend is seemingly shot in the face as he celebrates his supposed victory over Evil Pico. After getting shot, Boyfriend lays down in the ground with blood coming off of his hand. Appearing as though Boyfriend had died, Girlfriend lets out an a Death Glare from behind Evil Pico with plans to fight the latter. Fortunately, Boyfriend is revealed to have survived to gunshot, although it does drain his health and leaves an open hole on his hand.
  • Quaking with Fear: Following his awakening from driving away the Corruption out of his body, Boyfriend's body trembles in fear from the Sequel Hook that Evil Girlfriend will be the next opponent to face.
  • Power Floats: In Week 6, Evil Boyfriend's pixelated body first starts off colorful, before his true form as a dark Glitch Entity slowly peaks through the initial skid. Once Evil Boyfriend's true form completely consumes his once colorful body, he reaches the height of his power over Hating Simulator and is able to fly inside the game during "Roots".
  • Precious Photo: Boyfriend remembers a Precious Photo of Girlfriend, Mommy Mearest, Daddy Dearest, Skid and Pump, and Pico as friends to motivate himself on breaking free of the Corruption. Through Soul Boyfriend's help Boyfriend is able to resist the purple aura the Corruption used to suppress his will to escape and remembers the Precious Photo to gain greater motivation.
  • Promoted to Playable: Downplayed. Boyfriend is playable in his corrupted state, but when his uncorrupted self is finally shown in Week 8, Boyfriend as the Hero Protagonist becomes playable, instead of Evil Boyfriend as the Villain Protagonist. With Boyfriend in his uncorrupted state as the main character, he faces off against the Corruption that has turned him into Evil Boyfriend.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Inverted. The purple aura that forms around Boyfriend halfway in "Discharge" acts as an aura that weakens Boyfriend's will to escape the Corruption. The purple aura gives rise to Boyfriend's negativity and requires him to remember his friends to resist the aura exhausting him.
  • Red Sky, Take Warning: While his mind is not exactly a sky, the Corruption spotting him and Soul Boyfriend rapping together, sparks trouble for the Corruption controlling their mind. Once the Corruption takes action in suppressing their attempts to regain their body, the Mental World of Boyfriend glows red. The red glows start to worry Boyfriend and causes him to lose focus on the battle, which eventually leads to Soul Boyfriend disappearing.
  • Rescue Hug: As soon as Girlfriend is saved from her Corruption, Boyfriend catches her from falling into the ground. With her in his hands, they both share a touching hug with each other, only to receive a Moment Killer from Evil Pico attempting to kill them.
  • Rockers Smash Guitars: Boyfriend along with Soul Boyfriend both smash their guitars to completely destroy the corrupted environment that the Corruption had placed inside their mind. Both of them smash their guitars on the completely white environment to end "Discharge".
  • Spotting the Thread: As he walks towards "Girlfriend" in an illusion she created, he takes the time to stop and think about what she meant by "stay right there". By analyzing the situation, Boyfriend barely dodges the Tendrils of Darkness Evil Girlfriend nearly impaled onto him.
  • Sanity Slippage: Boyfriend clutches on his head during "Estranged", because of the maddening effects of the illusions that Evil Girlfriend is using on him. The illusions quickly result in Boyfriend panicking and being unable to focus on the battle. The smile he wears to force himself to fight harder clearly indicates that he is losing his mind.
  • Single-Stroke Battle: Boyfriend ends his battle of "Blood Moon" against Evil Pico by smacking him in the head by a single punch. Before trying to land the punch, Boyfriend makes sure to blind Evil Pico with his bloodied hand, before giving the latter a clear punch in the face. After landing the powerful punch, Pico is saved from the Corruption and their battle with each other is over.
  • Speed Echoes: Inverted. Boyfriend's speed doesn't create any afterimages of himself only when his mind is thinking clearly. However, when Evil Girlfriend's illusions drive him insane in "Estranged", Boyfriend's body quickly echoes in speed, despite clearly not feeling well.
  • The Stinger: In the aftermath of "Deathmatch", The Stinger for the video reveals Evil Boyfriend to be dormant at the stage, which could imply Boyfriend eventually taking the lead in fighting against the Corruption.
  • Super-Reflexes: Boyfriend can greatly display his abilities to quickly dodge attacks that his corrupted enemies throw at him.
    • In Evil Girlfriend's illusion where she pretends to have freed herself from the Corruption, Boyfriend approaches her and quickly dodges her Tendrils of Darkness the moment he stops to analyze the situation.
    • Boyfriend shows himself to be even better at dodging than before as he can keep up with Evil Pico's Nexus form, a state where the latter has better fighting capabilities. Boyfriend has dodged Evil Pico's Blade Below the Shoulder, the dark energy balls thrown, and the Razor Wind created.
  • Sweat Drop: In his nervous state, a little drop of sweat will appear on the side of his head, indicating that he is feeling uncomfortable in opposing the Corruption in battle.
  • Take My Hand!: Boyfriend tries to twice to reach out his hand to Girlfriend in "Yandere Attack", as a way for her to respond and break free of her own Corruption.
    • The first time Boyfriend reaches out his hand, Girlfriend does not respond because of being way too corrupted to do anything.
    • Thankfully, the second time Boyfriend reaches his hand towards Girlfriend, she responds by trying to take his hand, appearing as though the Corruption is slowly weakening in the fight.
  • Tareme Eyes: In his depressed state where he lacks a drive to focus on resisting the Corruption, Boyfriend's eyes will become droopy and his face is Blue with Shock from the inability to do anything.
  • Tsurime Eyes: When feeling as though he is self-assured and prepared to confront the Corruption, Boyfriend's eyes have sharp edges for his confidence.
  • Two Lines, No Waiting: As Evil Pico is paired off to face down and corrupt Mommy Mearest in Week 4, meanwhile, Evil Boyfriend and Evil Girlfriend are transferring themselves inside Hating Simulator, so that Senpai and Spirit would be deleted inside the game.
  • Victory Fakeout:
    • Boyfriend assumes himself to have saved Girlfriend from the Corruption, because she had created an illusion to fool him. "Girlfriend" requests Boyfriend to come over, but as he approaches her and hears her say "stay right there", Boyfriend realizes that he is still in danger. In response, Boyfriend quickly dodges Evil Girlfriend's attacks and resumes his fight with her.
    • Halfway around "Headshot", Boyfriend celebrates in the middle of battle, believing himself to be overpowering Evil Pico in the fight. Suddenly, Evil Pico takes the opportunity to shoot Boyfriend in the head while the latter takes his break to celebrate his supposed victory. Luckily for Boyfriend, he is able to get back up since the bullet only hit his palm, but he did receive a considerable amount of damage from the attack.
  • Villainous Breakdown: The Corruption inside him undergoes a Villainous Breakdown since he and Soul Boyfriend's constant rocking inside their mind are causing the Corruption's control to slowly fade away. The Corruption uses its powers to suppress Boyfriend's determination to break free and feeds him lies on how his friends are already dead inside their corrupted bodies.
  • Villain Protagonist: Being he and Girlfriend are the first people infected with the Corruption, they also act as the main forces that go out to corrupt every character. Unlike Evil Girlfriend who is only bopping her head around her speakers, Evil Boyfriend is actively taking the lead in singing at odds with the survivors to have them corrupted.
  • V-Sign:
    • Boyfriend lets out a little V-Sign while he catches and holds onto his microphone from having regained complete control of his body.
    • Boyfriend lets out another V-Sign to celebrate in the midst of battle against Evil Pico. It quickly becomes a horrible idea as Evil Pico takes the chance to shoot Boyfriend.
  • Walking Spoiler: In his corrupted form, he doesn't reveal any strong spoilers other than he was one of the first victims overpowered by the Corruption. However, his uncorrupted self can spoil himself becoming the Hero Protagonist to take the lead in overpowering the Corruption holding him inside of his own mind.
  • White Void Room: He and Soul Boyfriend rapping so loudly inside their mind results in the entire bleak environment of the Corruption to get completely destroyed. In the aftermath of having overpowered the Corruption, the only thing left inside Boyfriend's mind is a White Void Room.
  • You Are Not Alone:
    • The end of "Neuroses" has Boyfriend lose hope in opposing the Corruption, as Soul Boyfriend's disappearance is removing his hopes of escaping. Eventually, Boyfriend receives his emotional support once Soul Boyfriend returns in "Discharge", allowing the both of them to play Rock music to irritate the Corruption. Even when the Corruption temporarily discourages Boyfriend, he is reminded of his friends through a Precious Photo, which gives him to final push to overpower the Corruption.
    • By the first half of "Estranged", Boyfriend's nervousness and the feeling of hopelessness from being unable to make progress in saving Girlfriend causes him to lose his mind. Before all hope is lost, Soul Boyfriend appears as a silhouette behind Boyfriend to aid him and restore his confidence for the fight. Afterwards the encouragement, Boyfriend is ready to confront every illusion Evil Girlfriend throws at him.
  • You Have No Chance to Survive: The moment the soul transaction finishes inside Hating Simulator, Evil Boyfriend declares to Spirit that the latter's fate has already been sealed with death. In retaliation, Spirit intends to bring Evil Boyfriend down with him as the last way to ensure victory. Sadly, for Spirit, he loses the battle just as Evil Boyfriend had predicted. Once "Roots" ends, Evil Boyfriend has him and Senpai deleted from existence.

That's the you I want to see.
Girlfriend is the deuteragonist of the Corruption mod and is usually with Evil Boyfriend as he corrupts the victims he meets. Girlfriend mostly bops her head around in her speakers as a way to assist, just like her canon counterpart, until she becomes an antagonist of Week 9.
  • Adaptational Badass: Downplayed. Girlfriend is not at all weak in Friday Night Funkin', but she never really takes the chance to show off her true powers. The closest she ever got to using them in the original game was when she prepares to fend off the Tankmen holding her hostage, but never uses it, due to Pico rescuing her. Though in here, in her corrupted form, Girlfriend is able to create illusions that can shatter Boyfriend's determination to save her. Evil Girlfriend's illusions allow her to create a false image where she is uncorrupted and can drive Boyfriend to insanity. She is also able to grow black tentacles in her corrupted state and create a pair of wings in "Yandere Attack".
  • Adaptational Intelligence: Girlfriend in canon is a dimwit that doesn't realize the dangers she is put into and simply bops her head, allowing only Boyfriend to handle the danger as a Fearless Fool also. In "Blood Moon" though, Girlfriend demonstrates her intelligence by talking with Boyfriend in the middle of battle to plan out a strategy on how they can wear down Evil Pico's Nexus form.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Just like how her and Boyfriend were the first people infected with the Corruption, they are the most active in corrupting other people. Unlike Boyfriend, while Girlfriend wants to help him in corrupting everyone, she mainly bops her head in her speakers. However, in Week 9, she takes an actively villainous role by being the main corrupted opponent for Boyfriend to face. She uses her illusions to break Boyfriend's will to save her and actively makes attempts to kill him.
  • Arc Villain: For Week 9, Evil Girlfriend serves as the main antagonist for Boyfriend to confront after he frees himself from the Corruption. She frequently uses illusions to lure him into a false sense of security and uses her Tendrilf Of Darkness to stab him while off guard. Once she is freed from her Corruption, Girlfriend supports Boyfriend in fighting later threats from the Corruption.
  • Art Evolution:
    • Evil Girlfriend's first appearances on Week 3 and Week 2 have her be corrupted design be a completely darkened version of her normal outfit. Her clothes are not visible and the only part of her body that is colored pink is her face. For her appearance in Week 9, her corrupted design becomes much more detailed, as it shows outlines of her Christmas outfit, bloodied claws as her hands, pink strings on her legs, and her hair being partially dyed pink.
    • In Week 10, her uncorrupted self gets an Art Evolution where she is slimmer than what she looked like in her original Friday Night Funkin' art style.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Evil Girlfriend pretending to be saved by Boyfriend "acts" gracious towards him for his efforts to uncorrupt her. She soon requests for him to come closer to her, while she extends her hands for a hug. Once Boyfriend gets close, Evil Girlfriend orders her to stay before proceeding to unleash her tentacles on him. After attempting to kill him, she reveals her true nature and returns back to her corrupted state to resume rap battling him.
  • Crocodile Tears: Evil Girlfriend lets out fake Tears of Joy in an illusion casted to trick Boyfriend to come towards her. The tears Evil Girlfriend makes is to falsely be grateful for Boyfriend, which would cause him to lose focus on their battle.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Evil Girlfriend's original design for herself and speakers is different when compared to her appearance in Week 9. Her appearance on Week 3 and 2 has her corrupted design completely overshadow whatever clothing she wore. Evil Girlfriend's speaker was initially covered in Christmas lights, but when she reappears in Week 9, the lights are gone.
  • The Faceless: Her pixelated face is initially visible until the Hating Simulator game starts to glitch. With the game glitching, a black box appears in front of her face to block it from being seen. When Senpai tries to make his declaration to save her, Evil Girlfriend only screeches at him.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Evil Girlfriend speaks politely as Boyfriend slowly loses his mind in "Estranged". When Boyfriend begins to fail on saving her from the Corruption, Evil Girlfriend calmly taunts him for believing that he was making progress. Afterwards, she softly tells him on how his transformation into Evil Boyfriend is the version of him she wants to see.
  • Giggling Villain: During the moments where Boyfriend is struggling to keep up with her singing in "Estranged", she giggles evilly to mock his failures. In Boyfriend's Darkest Hour, she laughs one more time before Boyfriend is encouraged by Soul Boyfriend to continue battling one. The last time Evil Girlfriend laughs is when she is overpowered by Boyfriend near the end of the song and is forced to grow wings out her body to transform even further.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Evil Girlfriend's attack to have Boyfriend killed whilst his guard is down to use her Tendrils of Darkness to stab him in place. Luckily for Boyfriend, he realizes her attack and dodges at the very last moment to continue singing against her.
  • Imposter Forgot One Detail: When she casts an illusion to pretend to be uncorrupted by Boyfriend, her disguise isn't her Christmas outfit from Week 5. By wearing the wrong clothes to trick Boyfriend into thinking he had won, the latter ends up realizes her illusion and dodges the last second.
  • Loving a Shadow: One of Evil Girlfriend's lines have her claim that Evil Boyfriend is the version of Boyfriend that she wants to see inside him. She claims to love Evil Boyfriend, despite Boyfriend struggling to keep up to her illusions.
  • Luring in Prey: Her strategy to lure Boyfriend into coming closer to her in "Allure" is to create an illusion where she appears to be free from the Corruption. In her illusion, she pretends to cheer for Boyfriend's Fakeout Victory and requests for him to come closer for a hug. Once he is close enough, Evil Girlfriend takes her chance to let out a Psychotic Smirk in preparation to stab him with her tentacles.
  • Master of Illusion: Evil Girlfriend has the ability to create illusions that can break Boyfriend's mind from fighting her, and she does so by manipulating his perception of reality. The first illusion she casts is by pretending to be uncorrupted, so that Boyfriend would be lured into a false sense of security and be impaled by her tentacles. For the second illusion, she fakes being fully corrupted to drain Boyfriend's hope that he failed to make any progress on saving her. Once Boyfriend is too demotivated to fight her, Evil Girlfriend takes the chance to drive him insane and to drain his energy.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Evil Girlfriend nearly gets Boyfriend to give out fighting in two instances of her week.
    • For "Allure", the illusion she creates where she fakes being uncorrupted by Boyfriend gets him to drop his guard and to come to her for a hug. Once he is close, Evil Girlfriend takes the chance to impale him with her tentacles but misses due to Boyfriend taking the time to be suspicious of her and by dodging to continue rap battling.
    • She gets even closer into beating Boyfriend in "Estranged", as her illusions to trick Boyfriend into thinking that he hasn't uncorrupted her, pushes him to undergo a Heroic BSoD. As Boyfriend loses his mind, she giggles in victory over having caused him to lose his mind, until the latter regains his confidence with Soul Boyfriend's help and is much more ready to continue fighting.
  • Neutral Female: In her initial appearances with Evil Boyfriend, Evil Girlfriend doesn't really do much to help him, other than to bop her head around her speakers. The closest she ever becomes a threat is by screeching at Senpai to scare him off. This is soon subverted in Week 9, since she becomes the main antagonist of her own week and is constantly threating Boyfriend in the concert stage.
  • Psychotic Smirk: At first, "Girlfriend" smiles warmly from Boyfriend being under the assumption that he has freed her from the Corruption. When requesting Boyfriend to come over, "Girlfriend" lets a small malicious smile as she orders him to stay still. At that moment, Boyfriend is alerted of the danger and instinctively dodges before getting hurt.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Her eyes shine brightly red when she gets up in "Headshot" after having been knocked out in Week 9. Witnessing Boyfriend get supposedly killed by Evil Pico, Girlfriend's eyes shine red and is prepared to fight Evil Pico to avenge Boyfriend. Fortunately, when Boyfriend gets back up to reveal himself to be alive, Girlfriend's red eyes disappear and becomes glad he survived.
  • Removing the Head or Destroying the Brain: Implied. As the Corruption on her body rapidly grows weaker in "Yandere Attack", the last part of her body that is still corrupted is her head. Girlfriend stops being an active threat to Boyfriend and is saved, just as the Corruption from her head is removed.
  • Starter Villain: Right after Boyfriend escapes from his Corruption and celebrates his victory, Evil Girlfriend appears and acts as the first corrupted opponent for him to face off. Evil Girlfriend proves to be a difficult threat for Boyfriend, because of her ability to cast illusions as a way to give Boyfriend a Sanity Slippage, but he manages to pull through and defeat her.
  • Tendrils of Darkness: As part of her Transformation Sequence, she grows herself four black tentacles in "Allure" for preparation to stab Boyfriend in an illusion she plans on casting. Evil Girlfriend nearly gets Boyfriend impaled with her tentacles during an illusion where she pretends to have been uncorrupted. The next time Evil Girlfriend uses her Tendrils of Darkness is by destroying her speakers, so she would attach herself into a large set of wings.
  • Transformation Sequence: Evil Girlfriend goes through two transformations in her week in order to threaten Boyfriend into giving up from saving her.
    • Her first transformation happens in "Allure" and it involves growing four black tentacles out of her speakers. The tentacles she created is later used to stab Boyfriend while his guard is down during an illusion where she pretends to have been saved.
    • For her second transformation, she creates a large set of wings during the time where Boyfriend is going through a Heroic Resolve with Soul Boyfriend. With Boyfriend refusing to back down on fighting her, Evil Girlfriend uses her Tendrils of Darkness to destroy her speakers before attaching her body onto the wings.
  • Unkempt Beauty: Even after she gets freed from the Corruption by Boyfriend and is tossed on the road, she still looks beautiful. Though she receives small specks of dirt on her face, it doesn't degrade any of her beauty.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: For each time Boyfriend is hurt or is in a dangerous situation, one of Girlfriend's eye will glow read to express herself to protect Boyfriend.
    • After waking up from getting knocked out, she angrily glares at Evil Pico for shooting Boyfriend and appears to be ready to fight him. All of a sudden, once Boyfriend gets back up and Girlfriend sits in the sidelines to allow him to deal situation, knowing that he is safe.
    • Just from watching Boyfriend receive a punch from Pico as a way to get payback from getting punched in the head during "Blood Mood", Girlfriend is shocked at what happened and gets a Hidden Face to give Pico a Death Glare.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Right after Evil Boyfriend kills Senpai and Spirit in Week 6, Evil Girlfriend is no where to be seen in Week 7. Even when the other victims that have fallen to the Corruption return in "Deathmatch" to have a chance in rap battling Daddy Dearest, Evil Girlfriend is not among the group. Eventually, she makes her reappearance again in Week 9, where she serves as the main antagonist for Boyfriend to confront.

    Pico
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pico_corruption_mod_video_picture_5.png
On the top of the Newgrounds' Office Roof, Pico being half corrupted, is trapped in a situation where he has to rap battle Evil Boyfriend and Evil Girlfriend. Pico's efforts to save Boyfriend appear to be working in the second song of Week 3, but by the last song, Boyfriend had reverted back into his fully corrupted state. With Pico's efforts to save him ends up being a failure, it only becomes a matter of time before Pico falls to the Corruption. Now having fallen to the Corruption, Pico returns for Week 4 to rap battle Mommy Mearest on the middle of the road.
  • Adaptational Badass: Downplayed. Pico was always a strong gunslinger in Friday Night Funkin', and he demonstrates his great shooting skills by being able to combat a huge number of Tankmen soldiers for "Stress". In his corrupted form, he shows new feats of strength that was never present in his original counterpart. The Nexus form that he acquires in his corrupted state allows him to gain greater physical strength to better combat Boyfriend. The types of abilities the Nexus form grants Evil Pico is moving in fast speeds to stab Boyfriend, create large energy balls, and to slash the air to hurt Boyfriend.
  • Adaptational Heroism: From Friday Night Funkin', Pico is portrayed as an assassin hired by the Daddy Dearest to kill Boyfriend. Although Pico didn't kill Boyfriend, he was still willing to accept an assassination mission for money. In the Corruption mod, Pico is now taking active actions to save Boyfriend in Week 3 and is portrayed sympathetically upon failing the goal.
  • Anti-Frustration Features: Pico singing in "Hivemind" will occasionally be automatic if he and Boyfriend are singing in a duet against Evil Tankman. By singing automatically, the amount arrows that appears for the player is reduced and is only focused on one character.
  • Arc Villain: With his Corruption from having lost to Evil Boyfriend, Evil Pico later reappears as the main antagonist for Week 4 and Week 10.
    • In the aftermath of his Corruption, Evil Pico appears in Week 4 to confront and Corrupt Mommy Mearest. On the top of her limousine, they both rap battle each other until Mommy Mearest is slowly getting corrupted. Despite Pico having his eye uncorrupted by her, Pico in his corrupted state still ends up winning with the help of the corrupted Henchmen.
    • Once Boyfriend succeeds in saving Girlfriend from her Corruption, Evil Pico makes his entrance by shooting the walls of the concert to get both Boyfriend and Girlfriend killed. Boyfriend counters the attack by dodging it, before throwing Girlfriend on the side of the road, which leads into Evil Pico rap battling Boyfriend. When starting "Extractor", he stands on Atop a Mountain of Corpses as his battlefield before blowing it up with a grenade to start "Headshot". In "Headshot", he gets close to killing Boyfriend, but fails when the latter gets up from his gunshot. As a last resort, Evil Pico uses his Nexus form to have him killed, before being overpowered and freed from the Corruption.
  • Ascended Extra: Pico in the original game is only fought as an opponent that is hired to kill Boyfriend in Week 3. In here, Pico gets the chance to be playable in his corrupted form and be able to corrupt Mommy Mearest as the playable character. Pico later reappears in "Deathmatch" to be briefly playable and is fought as an opponent in Week 10 for Boyfriend to rap battle.
  • Atop a Mountain of Corpses: For his battlefield in "Extractor", Evil Pico stand on top of many Tankmen corpses in his battle against Boyfriend. He stays there to rap battle Boyfriend, until deciding to have the corpses blown up with grenade.
  • Back for the Finale: Just like with Evil Skid and Pump, and Evil Mommy Mearest, Evil Pico assists them in rap battling Daddy Dearest in "Deathmatch". When compared to the roles the other corrupted victims had against Daddy Dearest, Evil Pico gets only one turn to sing in the fight.
  • Bad Moon Rising: Throughout "Extractor" and "Headshot", the background of the fight against Boyfriend has the moon be rising. The first two songs focus on the moon's rising altitude, while "Blood Moon" makes the moon glow from Evil Pico's Nexus form.
  • Better to Die than Be Killed: Implied. Due to how his "left" pose in his corrupted state has him point a gun right at his head, there could be implications that he attempted to kill himself, so that the Corruption won't use his body. Sadly, for him, he survives the gunshot, and the Corruption uses his body to battle Mommy Mearest on the top of her limousine.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: The times where Evil Pico is charging a Boyfriend to stab him, Evil Pico grows a sharp blade on his arms. Evil Pico's bladed arms allows him to quickly launch many stab attacks at Boyfriend.
  • Blade Spam: The bladed arms he gains from the Nexus transformation allows him to perform many strikes at Boyfriend in a rapid pace. Evil Pico rapidly attempts to stab Boyfriend in the moments where "Blood Moon" is quickly dropping its beats, which synchronizes with the stabbing.
  • Blank White Eyes: Once Pico loses to Boyfriend at the end of "Headshot" the Corruption inside him proceeds to transform into its Nexus form. In the beginning of the transformation, Pico's uncorrupted eye becomes completely white from the shock of his body preparing to transform.
  • Boom, Headshot!:
    • Implied: His left pose in his corrupted state always has him point his gun right at his head. While he points his gun towards his head, a splash of blood can be seen beside it. The way he reacts to the Corruption implies that he attempted to kill himself by a headshot, but the Corruption ended up forcing him to live.
    • Subverted. During "Headshot", Evil Pico takes the opportunity to have Boyfriend shot in the head while the latter is busy celebrating in the midst of battle. Having shot Boyfriend, the Corruption laughs in victory and Pico, slightly uncorrupted, is shocked as to what he did. Fortunately for Boyfriend, he ends up surviving the shot since he blocked the bullet with his hand.
  • Bottomless Magazines: Despite the number of bullets, he used on the undead Tankmen horde, Pico is never running out in every shot he lets out of his Uzis. The closest he ever takes the time to stop shooting is when he throws his guns in the air midst the song.
  • Brick Joke: By the end of "Blood Moon", Pico is punched in the face by Boyfriend as a way to be freed out of the Corruption. Although dizzy from the attack, Pico protects Boyfriend and Girlfriend from a horde of Tankmen zombies in "Brainstorm" and the Tankman Amalgam in "Hivemind". After surviving the threats, Pico then lets out his frustration to Boyfriend over getting punched in the face.
  • Can Only Move the Eyes: In times where he is slightly uncorrupted of his Corruption, Pico's eyes are the only body parts he can move to react in situations.
    • "M.I.L.K." has one of Pico's eyes get uncorrupted by Mommy Mearest singing against him. Despite being slightly uncorrupted, he is still a threat to Mommy Mearest and can actively corrupt her in the song. For "Schizophrenzy", his uncorrupted eye is fully corrupted again and both of his eyes are now glowing white as he dominates Mommy Mearest in battle.
    • The second half of "Headshot" has Pico get one of his eyes uncorrupted again and it instead happens in the worse time for him. As the eye uncorrupts, Pico is left in horror from having to watch Boyfriend bleed out on the ground. Thankfully, Boyfriend is alive from the gunshot since he had used his hand to protect himself from the bullet. Afterwards "Headshot", Pico's uncorrupted eye becomes white from the shock of his corrupted body transforming into the Nexus form.
  • Chained by Fashion: In Week 4, Pico gets himself a set of chains attached to his body. Through a Word of God statement, Evil Pico got chains stuck on his body because he was dumb enough to attack a fence for no reason.
  • Crystalline Creature: The Nexus form of Evil Pico transforms his body to become a crystalized version of itself. The crystalized design serves as one of the main components that Evil Pico uses to stab Boyfriend with his bladed shoulder.
  • Deadly Upgrade: The Nexus form of his grants him great combat abilities that is adept at killing Boyfriend in their battle. However, Evil Pico has to deal with the drawback of no longer having the option to corrupt him and needing to be quick in ending the battle before the Nexus form completely degrades the Corruption.
  • Desecrating the Dead: The explosive grenade that Evil Pico unleashes by the end of "Extractor", results in the Tankmen corpses he once stood on top of to blow up. Once the explosion is over, Evil Pico, Girlfriend, and Boyfriend are the only ones left standing. The corpses are all desecrated from the explosion.
  • Energy Ball: The Nexus form provides Evil Pico the capability to generate multiple dark EnergyBalls in the air and launch them in a fast pace to hurt Boyfriend.
  • Evil Laugh: By shooting Boyfriend in the middle of their battle during "Headshot", Evil Pico laughs in triumph from supposedly killing Boyfriend in the head. Evil Pico quickly stops laughing once Girlfriend angrily glares from behind and when Boyfriend gets back up to reveal that only his hand was injured.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Her normal singing voice in her corrupted form sounds deep and distorted in her fight against Boyfriend. In contrast to the illusion, she created to fake an act of having been freed from the Corruption, her voice sounds soft and calm, so she could charm Boyfriend into lowering his guard.
  • Feet-First Introduction: Right after Boyfriend frees Girlfriend from her Corruption in the aftermath of "Yandere Attack", Evil Pico attempts to shoot the both of them. Once Boyfriend escapes the stage, Evil Pico's introduction to him is started off by the feet. As the camera goes higher above the feet, Evil Pico makes his presence known to Boyfriend.
  • Glass Cannon: Nexus state Evil Pico is on for "Blood Moon" grants him lots of attack abilities to hurt Boyfriend in their fight. A huge setback the state grants Evil Pico is that the Nexus state is incredibly vulnerable to receiving damage and can crack the user if used for too long. Near the end of "Blood Moon", Evil Pico is easily defeated by a single punch that Boyfriend successfully lands on him.
  • Gun Twirling: As he shoots down the Tankmen horde in "Brainstorm", Pico throws his guns in the air to give them a quick spin before continuing to sing and blast the Tankmen horde at the same time.
  • Guns Akimbo: When dealing with the Tankmen horde in "Brainstorm", Pico resorts to using two of his Uzis to blast the Tankmen from both the left side and the right side.
  • Guns Are Useless: When it comes to shooting his Uzis at the giant Evil Tankman, Pico is unable to damage him in anyway. Every shot Pico fires does nothing in flinching Tankman and the reason the latter was killed is only because of the Harvester intervening.
  • Heart Beats out of Chest: The Nexus state of Evil Pico shows a dark and purple heart beating on the outside of his chest.
  • Hero Killer: Just like how Evil Boyfriend corrupted him in their battle on Week 3, Evil Pico succeeds in corrupting Mommy Mearest in her week. Despite the difficulties of Mommy Mearest slightly uncorrupting him, Evil Pico emerges victorious in the battle with the help of her former backup dancers appearing in "Schizophrenzy".
  • Hope Spot: Pico's battle against Mommy Mearest in Week 4 brings a chance that Mommy Mearest may succeed in saving Pico from the Corruption. While Mommy Mearest gets her hand corrupted in "M.I.L.K.", she at least uncorrupted an eye from Pico. Tragically in "Schizophrenzy" Pico is back to being fully corrupted again and is now clearly beating Mommy Mearest in battle with the help of her former Henchmen.
  • Hour of Power: To utilize the Nexus form, Evil Pico is actively trying to kill Boyfriend in the quickest ways possible. Evil Pico launches many powerful attacks at him in a rapid pace, as the longer the battle continues, Evil Pico's Nexus form is slowly cracking up his body.
  • I Cannot Self-Terminate: Implied. With how Evil Pico is always pointing his gun right at his head during his "left" pose, he could have been actively trying to kill himself to stop the Corruption from using his body. In the end, Pico couldn't kill himself and the Corruption just controls his body to repeat at pointing the gun at his head.
  • Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy: Downplayed. Each time Evil Pico releases and aims his Energy Balls at Boyfriend, they always come close to hitting him, but never actually hurts him. The attacks get close to Boyfriend, but not close enough where the latter has to move much.
  • Interface Spoiler: Before the premier of "EVIL Pico vs BF FINAL BATTLE!", the Nexus transformation of Evil Pico is not revealed, since the thumbnail only shows Pico's Corruption slowly degrading. However, after the premier, the thumbnail was changed, and it now shows the Nexus form on screen. Even if the thumbnail doesn't explain the concept of the Nexus form, it does reveal the end result of Evil Pico's transformation in the end of "Headshot".
  • Jitter Cam: For each time Evil Pico releases a Razor Wind with his claws, the entire camera shakes violently from the attack being launched towards Boyfriend.
  • Last Ditch Move: Once Boyfriend is able to keep up with his Corruption, Evil Pico in a last desperate attempt to kill him, transforms into Nexus as a last resort. With the Nexus transformation being draining to utilize and losing the ability to corrupt victims, Evil Pico hurries to use his arsenal of attacks to kill Boyfriend in the fastest way possible.
  • Last Stand: For the last song of Week 3, it becomes clear that Pico won't save Boyfriend and that both of their Corruption has gotten a lot worse compared to the second song. Despite Pico's Corruption taking hold of over half of his body, he actively sings even harder in a futile attempt to beat Evil Boyfriend and Evil in their battle.
  • Last Villain Stand: Knowing full well that Boyfriend is going to beat him in his normal corrupted state, Evil Pico transforms into Nexus as a Last Ditch Move to have Boyfriend killed. Despite Nexus being an incredibly taxing transformation for Evil Pico, he wants to make a last desperate attempt to kill Boyfriend before being put down for read.
  • Mickey Mousing: Each time Evil Pico prepares himself to launch a barrage of Blade Spams at Boyfriend, it always happens when "Blood Moon" is quickly dropping its beats. Afterwards, Evil Pico returns back to his original position of the battlefield to rap with Boyfriend normally, until deciding to launch more attacks.
  • Moment Killer: Right after Boyfriend saves Girlfriend from her Corruption; they both share a touching hug with each other. Their hug however is immediately interrupted once Evil Pico releases a barrage of bullets inside Daddy Dearest's stage. Having ripped open a giant hole inside the stage, Boyfriend goes through the hole to confront Evil Pico in a rap battle.
  • Nerves of Steel: Even before Pico is engaged to fighting Evil Boyfriend, he is already at a disadvantage since his own body is half corrupted. Despite the setbacks, Pico keeps his cool to focus on rap battling Evil Boyfriend. It appears to be working, as Pico had partially uncorrupted Boyfriend in their second song. When Pico's cool ends up failing for the first and second song, he panics in the third song over how his own Corruption had gotten worse and is struggling to follow Evil Boyfriend's raps.
  • Not Enough to Bury: The explosion that Evil Pico causes him his grenade is so great that the Tankmen corpses are all desecrated by the time "Headshot" begins. Not single one of the Tankmen is even present and there aren't even enough body parts for them to even need to be buried.
  • Oh, Crap!: As Evil Pico laughs victoriously from the assumption that he got to kill Boyfriend, his celebration is quickly cut short from Girlfriend giving him a Death Glare behind his back. With Girlfriend glaring at him, Evil Pico is somewhat scared to look at her, but instead focuses on fighting Boyfriend again, due to the latter surviving the gunshot.
  • Ominous Fog: An Ominous Fog arrives in "Extractor" and "Headshot" to cloud up the battlefield of Evil Pico and Boyfriend.
  • Ominous Visual Glitch: Each time the beat drops in "Extractor", glitches appear on the screen to sync with the song.
  • Ornamental Weapon: For Week 4 and Week 7, Evil Pico never bothers to use his Uzi to give himself an advantage over the fights he is in. Even when Mommy Mearest uncorrupted his eye, Evil Pico doesn't use his Uzi. Averted in Week 10, as he actually utilizes his Uzi to have Boyfriend shot in "Blood Moon", and in "Brainstorm", he actively uses both of his Uzis to shoot the undead Tankmen army.
  • Power at a Price: The Nexus state Evil Pico activates on Boyfriend grants him lots of physical abilities that can be useful in killing Boyfriend. One of the major flaws of the Nexus form is that it no longer has the ability to corrupt its victims, forcing Evil Pico into murdering Boyfriend as the only solution to have him beaten.
  • Promoted to Playable:
    • In the aftermath of his Corruption in Week 3 from having been overpowered by Evil Boyfriend, Evil Pico becomes a playable character in the latter's appearance in Week 4. As the corrupted villain, Evil Pico has the player's support and takes the lead in having Mommy Mearest overpowered by the Corruption.
    • Following Evil Pico's defeat by Boyfriend in the end of "Blood Moon", Pico is released from the Corruption. As soon as Pico breaks free of the Corruption's control, he takes the lead of "Brainstorm" in shooting down the Tankmen zombies approaching him, Boyfriend, and Girlfriend.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Zig Zagged. The Nexus transformation of Evil Pico has purple outlines around it, and it gives him lots of physical strength to combat Boyfriend in "Blood Moon". However, while the Nexus state grants lots of abilities, Evil Pico is more vulnerable from attacks and the form can't be maintained for long.
  • Quaking with Fear: The final song of Week 3 has Pico's hand be trembling in fear from the Corruption getting closer to consuming. Combined with Boyfriend being fully corrupted all over again, Pico is clearly Quaking with Fear over the grim situation where he is struggling to survive the battle.
  • Razor Wind: One of the attacks his Nexus state grants him is that he can slash the air to create powerful waves of wind. The slashed winds move at incredible speeds that pushes Boyfriend to dodge them.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: As Evil Pico begins his transformation of the Nexus form; his uncorrupted eye becomes white from the shock while the corrupted eye quickly becomes red. The red eye glows so much that it causes the screen to explode and begins his transformation.
  • Red Filter of Doom: As "Headshot" becomes more intense, the screen glows a red filter to give off an intimidating factor of Evil Pico's more derange rapping and Boyfriend's life in greater danger. The red filter reaches its strongest following Boyfriend recovering from the gunshot that Evil Pico gave him.
  • Red Sky, Take Warning: "Blood Moon" has the entire sky be transformed into a purple atmosphere as a result of Evil Pico screaming loudly into his Nexus form. The warning the purple sky produces is Evil Pico's newfound strength in a Last Ditch Move to kill Boyfriend and Girlfriend.
  • Reliably Unreliable Guns: After making repeated shots at the Tankman Amalgam, Pico's Uzi guns are jammed. To compensate for his lack of firearms, Pico releases a Spam Attack of notes to hurl at Tankman.
  • Removing the Head or Destroying the Brain: For how his corrupted self is defeated in "Blood Moon", Boyfriend punches him directly in the head. The direct blow on Pico's head had caused the entire Corruption to disappear from just one punch.
  • Shout-Out: Pico singing "Brainstorm" has a Leitmotif that references the instrumentals of Terraria Calamity.
  • Shows Damage: His Nexus state Shows Damage by his sprite slowly deteriorating from its extended use. The long usage of the Nexus state in Evil Pico's battle against Boyfriend has caused the former's transformation to crack under the pressure. Eventually, Boyfriend only requires delivering a single punch to beat Evil Pico in their battle.
  • Sinister Silhouettes: Evil Pico's body becomes a Silhouette in his transformation to reach the Nexus form. With his body darkened by the Transformation Sequence, Evil Pico becomes crystalized by the end of the transformation and has a purple outline.
  • Skyward Scream: Evil Pico's first note right after he transforms into the Nexus form is to scream loudly at the sky. The "up" arrow has his body look at the sky while he screams so loudly that the entire background turns purple.
  • Speed Echoes: In some parts of "Headshot", Evil Pico's rapping speed is so fast that it creates afterimages of himself. The afterimages and Evil Pico's Super-Speed are more apparent in "Blood Moon", since his Nexus state gives him the necessary combat abilities to move at greater speeds.
  • Spikes of Villainy: His body during its usage of the Nexus transformation caused him to become spikier than before, so he would gain greater power in the goal to have Boyfriend and Girlfriend killed.
  • Super-Speed: Evil Pico's Nexus state provides him with great speed that can allow him to quickly dash in front of Boyfriend. By using the Super-Speed to get close to Boyfriend, Evil Pico is able to quickly launch a barrage of blade attacks towards him.
  • Sweat Drop: As the Tankmen begin jumping out of the highway railings to create a kaiju-sized Tankman, Pico has a little drop of sweat on his head over worrying from the enemies becoming more powerful.
  • Twitchy Eye: "Extractor" and "Headshot" both have Evil Pico's one corrupted eye be constantly twitching throughout the entire battle with Boyfriend. The twitching could serve as a foreshadowing of Pico doing his best to break out of the Corruption. Following Evil Pico shooting Boyfriend, the initial twitching of the corrupted eye, results in Pico's real eye coming out of the Corruption.
  • Two-Faced: For his appearance in Week 3, Pico has one side of his entire body and face corrupted, while the other side is uncorrupted. In the final song of Week 3, his Corruption spreads and the uncorrupted part of his body is being quickly consumed by the Corruption.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Downplayed. Pico getting punched in the face to be freed of the Corruption causes him to get dizzy from the attack, but is at least glad to be freed and ready to fight the Evil Tankmen army. After surviving the threat of the Tankmen, Pico punches Boyfriend as payback for getting punched in the face, despite Boyfriend only doing so in "Blood Moon" to save himself from getting killed and to save Pico.
  • Vampire Refugee: Despite having half of his body corrupted by Evil Boyfriend, Pico does his best to save him in the first two songs of Week 3. When the Corruption gets a lot worse for Pico in the third song, he desperately raps harder to save himself.
  • Violence is the Only Option: A villainous example. Evil Pico is more interested in having his victims be corrupted as a way to defeat them. For Boyfriend however, Evil Pico instead opts to have him killed since Boyfriend is too threatening to bother corrupting. As a last resort when Boyfriend starts to uncorrupt him, Evil Pico uses the Nexus form to kill Boyfriend, thus losing the ability to have Boyfriend corrupted.
  • Walking Spoiler: Evil Pico unleashing the Nexus transformation on screen is a big spoiler that reveals the Corruption's capabilities of being able to grow even stronger to beat their opponents in combat. The major flaws of the Nexus transformation are revealed from Evil Pico being drained from using it for too long and by losing the ability to corrupt others.

Supporting Characters

    Skid and Pump
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/skid_and_pump_corruption_spookeez_static.png
Skid and Pump are two kids living inside of a house, until being confronted by Evil Girlfriend and Evil Boyfriend. Presumably before the battle, Pump was already in his corrupted state, which forces Skid into a situation where he has to rap alone. With three corrupted enemies for Skid to rap against, it quickly becomes clear that he won't survive encountering the Corruption.
  • Adaptational Sympathy: In Friday Night Funkin', Skid and Pump were opponents that wanted to rap battle Boyfriend for fun. For their counterparts in this mod, Skid is worried over Pump's corrupted body and is scared of having to face off Evil Boyfriend on his own. The battle quickly become too much for Skid to handle and he is constantly crying from his body being transformed by the Corruption. By the time of "Chiller", Skid can no longer control over his own body and his Expressive Health Bar has his remaining uncorrupted eye grow weaker, while a corrupted Slasher Smile grows stronger.
  • Back for the Finale: Right After Evil Pico finishes his turn to rap battle Daddy Dearest in "Deathmatch", Evil Skid and Pump make their appearance to rap battle him. The both of them rap themes of their spooky songs, before Evil Mommy Mearest enters the stage.
  • Break the Cutie: Skid is a lovable child that once rapped alongside with Pump against Boyfriend. Now, in this mod, Skid is actively trying to survive the Corruption and is failing to keep up with the corrupted opponents cornering him. While facing against Evil Boyfriend and Evil Boyfriend, Skid has to deal with Pump's Corruption. To make the situation worse, Skid struggles to keep up with Evil Boyfriend's raps and is quickly corrupted in the span of three songs. As the Corruption nearly consumes his body, Skid can only cry out of his remaining eye as he watches his corrupted body dance on its own.
  • Can Only Move the Eyes: By "Chiller", the Corruption has spread so much in Skid's body that the only body part he is able to move is his one eye. Based on Skid's eye expression, he is crying from the experience and the rest of his corrupted body is forced to do the Spooky Dance.
  • Cry Laughing: Played for Horror. In some parts of "Chiller", Skid's corrupted body laughs with Evil Boyfriend. As Skid's corrupted body laughs, his uncorrupted eye is crying from no longer having control over his own body.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Skid's battle against his corrupted opponents in Week 2 was never going to end well for him. Even before fighting Evil Boyfriend, Skid is already on his own, as he also has to deal with Pump's fully corrupted body. Once the fight begins, Skid is basically a Dead Man Walking and is quickly corrupted through the songs with no clear chance at fighting back.
  • The Dividual: Similarly in canon, both Skid and Pump's rapping animations will always include them rapping together. Even when Skid is the uncorrupted one of the pair, both of them still rap together to battle Evil Boyfriend. Both Skid and Pump truly team up together in their corrupted forms when they return to battle Daddy Dearest in "Deathmatch".
  • Duel Boss: Zig Zagged. Skid and Pump both act as two opponents for Evil Boyfriend, except for the fact that Pump is a corrupted partner for Skid. With Pump corrupted, Skid is technically on his own to face off Pump on the bottom, Evil Boyfriend as his opponent, and Evil Girlfriend on her speakers. This is eventually played straight in "Deathmatch", since both Skid and Pump are corrupted enemies that work together in fighting Daddy Dearest.
  • Evil Laugh: As Skid's Corruption consumes a huge majority of his body in "Chiller", the corrupted body forces him to laugh in the song. Meanwhile for Skid, he can only cry from the painful experience.
  • Involuntary Dance: Initially, Skid is always holding onto Evil Pump for protection in "Spookeez (RenRenNumberTen Remix)" and "Sanguine South". Yet once "Chiller" starts, Skid's body has consumed so much of the Corruption that he is forced to perform the Spooky Dance.
  • Plot Armor: HORRIFICALLY defied. Pump was already corrupted before the week even began, and Skid was the second character to be corrupted on screen, coming right after Pico.
  • Security Cling: For the first two songs of Week 2, Skid clings onto the body of Evil Pump and is nervous on having to face off Evil Boyfriend. At "Sanguine South", Skid's body is partially corrupted, and as he cries from the pain, he still grasps onto Evil Pump's body. Defied in "Chiller", since the Corruption ends up forcing Skid to do the Spooky Dance, despite his cries on his uncorrupted eye.
  • Slasher Smile: When the Corruption takes control over a huge majority of his body, Skid gains a menacing smile from his corrupted body. For his Expressive Health Bar, Skid's Slasher Smile will grow even stronger if he is failing to keep up rapping against Evil Boyfriend.
  • Tears of Blood: Evil Pump's facial health icon has him cry out small tears of blood from watching Skid lose the Evil Boyfriend become even more corrupted from the battle.
  • Two-Faced: Skid's losing icon in "Sainguine South" has half of his face be filled with the Corruption and the other half, though still uncorrupted, is crying from the pain.
  • Wing Ding Eyes: Skid gains "X" marks as his new eyes in his new corrupted form. For "Chiller" he only has one "X" for his corrupted eyes and his return on "Chiller" turns the remaining uncorrupted eye into another "X".

    Mommy Mearest
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mommy_mearest_corruption_mod_video_picture_2.png
Mommy Mearest, who was once a popstar that rap battled Boyfriend previously is now fighting for her life against Evil Pico. In the middle of the road, Mommy Mearest encounters Evil Pico, which results in them rap battling each other. Mommy Mearest not knowing how the Corruption works, she gets her hand corrupted between "Matricide" and "M.I.L.K." in her fight with Evil Pico. Initially in the battle, Mommy Mearest looks as though she can survive and uncorrupt Pico from the Corruption, but once her former corrupted henchmen ambush her, Mommy Mearest is overpowered by the Corruption.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Her appearance in Friday Night Funkin', has her rap battle Boyfriend on top of her limousine and intends to have him killed in her week. For Mommy Mearest in this mod, her circumstances to rap battle Pico on the middle of the road is to save him from the Corruption.
  • Adaptational Sympathy:
    • Similarly like her canon counterpart, she and Daddy Dearest wanted to kill Boyfriend through overly complicated tactics. However, because of the Corruption bringing an apocalypse onto the world, Mommy Mearest is clearly distressed about the situation. Her confrontation with Evil Pico has her be worried and troubled on the danger Evil Pico poses. Mommy Mearest does her best to uncorrupt Pico, but ultimately loses in "Schizophrenzy" and her loss is played with sympathy. As she loses from her former Henchmen and Evil Pico, all she can do is to desperately sing, before being consumed fully by the Corruption.
    • When Mommy Mearest later appears in "Deathmatch", her fully corrupted form ends up acting as the biggest tragedy for Daddy Dearest. Their love for each other is so abundant that when Daddy Dearest faces her, he just gives up fighting the Corruption.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Her relationship with Boyfriend is for him to have him killed, most likely for dating Girlfriend. As titled in her original Week 4 being "Mommy Must Murder", it's clear that she only lets him near the Dearest family, so he would be killed. In this mod, it is implied that Mommy Mearest is no longer enemies with Boyfriend, due to her appearing inside a Precious Photo in "Discharge". Mommy Mearest's appearance in the photo can imply that she, along with her husband had patched up their grudges with Boyfriend and are now treated as friends.
  • Cavalry Betrayal: The Henchmen that were once her backup dancers for her rap battle with Boyfriend have turned against her in their sudden emergence in "Schizophrenzy". The backup dancers stand statically in the background to assist Evil Pico in his fight with Mommy Mearest. Being outnumbered by so many corrupted foes, it becomes clear that Mommy Mearest no longer stands a chance of surviving.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: In the aftermath of her Corruption, she disappears for a while until appearing again in "Deathmatch" to briefly rap battle Daddy Dearest. Her corrupted form acts as the catalyst for corrupting Daddy Dearest, since it exploits his love for her and destroys his anger to resist the Corruption. With Evil Mommy Mearest's help, she is the most essential in providing Evil Boyfriend his victory over Daddy Dearest.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Her final battle against Evil Pico results in her body getting largely corrupted by him and his overwhelming reinforcements. Mommy Mearest needing to deal with Pico's Corruption was already hard, but the arrival of her corrupted Henchmen quickly becomes a Curb-Stomp Battle she is not able to survive.
  • Hope Crusher: Her appearance in "Deathmatch" serves as the main reason as to how Daddy Dearest failed to beat the Corruption army. Upon taking a turn to rap battle Daddy Dearest in the song, Mommy Mearest's corrupted form is what allows Daddy Dearest to give up fighting and just cross the Despair Event Horizon. Following his despair, it only becomes a matter of time before he is corrupted by Evil Boyfriend.
  • Hope Spot: Her battle with Evil Pico brings the possibility that she may be able to succeed in saving him from the Corruption and survive the infections that he had inflicted onto her. Yet when the final battle came, the opportunity to have Pico saved is All for Nothing, since her former Henchmen have appeared and backed her into a corner. No matter how much Mommy Mearest sings in "Schizophrenzy", she loses to the Corruption because the reinforcements Evil Pico received.
  • Nerves of Steel: She keeps herself calm in her battle against Evil Pico, despite not having any knowledge over how the Corruption works. While she does lose her hand to the Corruption, Mommy Mearest nevertheless remains cool for the battle, so that Pico is saved.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: She only appears in "Deathmatch" to briefly sing against Daddy Dearest, but she gives off the biggest impact in the fight. Mommy Mearest's corrupted form is what allows Daddy Dearest's anger to fade away and his heart be filled with sadness, providing Evil Boyfriend the opportunity to corrupt him. With no more hope for Daddy Dearest to have any reason to fight, he is quickly corrupted by Evil Boyfriend.

    Senpai
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/senpai_corruption_static_normal.png
I've seen the world out there, I no longer wish to exit this place.
Senpai, an Artificial Intelligence character that lives inside Hating Simulator is confronted by two players. The two players being "Boyfriend" and "Girlfriend" confront him, while Senpai gracefully introduces himself to them. Suddenly, "Boyfriend's" strange way of talking confuses Senpai, until the entire game starts to corrupt. Senpai witnessing his game getting corrupted, begins to feel frightened of the situation and demands Evil Boyfriend to leave Hating Simulator.
  • Adaptational Badass: Senpai was never weak in his original game, but he does become more violent in singing once Boyfriend beats him at the first song. Senpai in here proves himself to be stronger than his canon counterpart, as he is able to work with Spirit to sing "Treacherous Thorns" and has genuine control over his game. Being the administrator, Senpai can No-Sell Evil Boyfriend's attempts to delete him.
  • Adaptational Heroism: His original counterpart was a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing that acts like a Sore Loser after losing one song. Afterwards, he gives Boyfriend a Freudian Threat and sings harder as a desperation to win. For his counterpart in here, Senpai genuinely wants to save "Girlfriend" from Evil Boyfriend supposedly harming her. Seeing Evil Boyfriend infecting the game, Senpai focuses on warning Evil Boyfriend to stay away from "Girlfriend", until realizing that "Girlfriend" is also a threat. With both opponents threatening Hating Simulator, Senpai's desire to beat them is to ensure his own safety from the Corruption.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Upon losing "Senpai" in Friday Night Funkin', Senpai reacts violently from the song and becomes more vulgar. Being never programmed to lose a match, Senpai can easily crack from being the victor. In here, Senpai is never vulgar towards "Boyfriend" and "Girlfriend". Even when the Hating Simulator game is getting corrupted, he opts to save "Girlfriend" from the assumption she is innocence. It is only when both Evil Girlfriend and Boyfriend are actively making attempts to delete him is what causes Senpai to go serious in fighting back.
  • Adaptational Sympathy: His motives to beat Boyfriend from the original game were purely out of petty spite from having been beaten in the first song. For "Roses", Senpai becomes a lot more aggressive and is willing to give a Freudian Threat to Boyfriend. Senpai taking losing as a serious business was the result of his programming not being designed to lose. For his Corruption mod counterpart, however, Senpai wishes to beat Glitch Boyfriend and Evil Boyfriend out of a desire to protect himself. Their existence in the game threatens his life and his hostile behavior is out of self-defense reasons.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Senpai is generally polite to "Boyfriend" and "Girlfriend" in their arrival to the game. However, once the both of them start to threaten Senpai's game, the latter really starts to reach his Rage Breaking Point. Senpai's anger reaches its zenith when Glitch Boyfriend makes an attempt to delete him, but only ends up deleting Senpai's eyes.
  • The Blank: His unused Expressive Health Bar icon has his face be completely blank from presumably, the glitches Evil Boyfriend was causing to Hating Simulator.
  • Bloodless Carnage: His eyes are ripped off from Evil Boyfriend attempting to make an admin request for his deletion. Though the eyes of Senpai are removed, no blood can be seen out of his eyeless sockets.
  • Cessation of Existence: For characters that have lost to the Corruption, they are usually still alive, but trapped in a state where they can't control themselves. For Senpai's fate from having been deleted by Evil Boyfriend, Senpai simply stops existing inside Hating Simulator and is just Killed Off for Real.
  • Deader than Dead: If his body getting destroyed by Spirit wasn't enough to kill him, then Evil Boyfriend gaining administrator control over Hating Simulator can definitely confirm Senpai's death. Evil Boyfriend getting his request to delete Senpai is written on the game saying that it was accepted and that Senpai is for real dead in the end of "Roots".
  • Dies Differently in Adaptation: Downplayed. Friday Night Funkin' has Senpai be killed right after "Roses", when Spirit bursts out of his body to confront Boyfriend. While Spirit bursting out of Senpai's body still happens in Friday Night Funkin': Corruption, Senpai gets permanently killed when Evil Boyfriend gains admin commands to have him and Spirit deleted from existence. Later subverted in "Null and Void", as Senpai makes a return to battle Boyfriend as a glitch entity.
  • Duel Boss: "Treacherous Thorns" showcases Senpai going all out in a rage of fury, alongside with Spirit to battle Evil Boyfriend in their game. Senpai works together with Spirit by occasionally switching the background of the game, which provides Spirit an opportunity to directly rap battle Evil Boyfriend. Afterwards "Treacherous Thorns", Spirit kills Senpai by bursting out of his body and now decides to kill Evil Boyfriend by himself.
  • The Dulcinea Effect: The moment he meets "Girlfriend" and "Boyfriend", Senpai assumes them to be innocent players playing his game. However, once "Boyfriend" starts to infect his game with the Corruption, Senpai orders him to back off from "Girlfriend". Sadly, for Senpai, his assumption that she is innocent and requires protection is proven wrong, as she ends up screeching at his face. Realizing the threat Evil Girlfriend and Evil Boyfriend poses towards Hating Simulator, Senpai can only give off a saddened look.
  • Eye Scream: When Boyfriend orders Hating Simulator to have Senpai be deleted, the game only responds by stating that Senpai is the administrator. Despite failing to delete Senpai, Evil Boyfriend at least succeeds in having his eyeballs be deleted. However, by trying have Senpai deleted, it only causes him to reach his Rage Breaking Point and raps even harder in "Treacherous Thorns".
  • The Immune: Zig Zagged. Unlike the other victims that have been infected with the Corruption, Senpai doesn't appear to be getting corrupted by Evil Boyfriend. What the Corruption does to Senpai is that it instead causes his body to glitch out. Initially, Senpai can No-Sell Evil Boyfriend's attempts to delete him, but Senpai is eventually left susceptible to being deleted when Evil Boyfriend fully transact his soul inside Hating Simulator. With Evil Boyfriend having full control over the game, Senpai and Spirit are both deleted from existence.
  • Interface Screw: Senpai's "Null and Void" song includes lots of intentional glitches and the arrow pads are moved into different locations of the screen, forcing players to focus on not losing sight of the arrows.
  • Killed Off for Real: Unlike the other characters who have been overpowered and corrupted by the Corruption, Senpai is instead killed inside his video game for failing to beat Evil Boyfriend.
  • Major Injury Underreaction: Zig Zagged. Upon having his eyes get deleted in Evil Boyfriend's attempt to order the game systems to have him killed, Senpai only gives out a frustrated reaction. Senpai doesn't react from his eyeballs deleted, but he does rage out in "Treacherous Thorns" to reject Evil Boyfriend out of the game. Senpai's lack of reaction from how his eyes were deleted can be somewhat bizarre, as before "Treacherous Thorns", he was afraid of Evil Boyfriend and Evil Girlfriend endangering his game.
  • Mind-Reformat Death: Senpai meets his end when Evil Boyfriend succeeds in transferring his soul inside Hating Simulator and corrupts the game so much that he gains admin commands. With Boyfriend's status as the admin, Senpai gets his coding deleted by the end of "Roots".
  • Not Quite Dead: He was thought to have been dead from having lost to Glitch Boyfriend by the end of Week 6 and was deleted from existence. However, "Null and Void" reveal Senpai to have survived Glitch Boyfriend's admin commands and Senpai is instead turned into a corrupted version of himself.
  • No-Sell: Evil Boyfriend tries to have him deleted before starting "Treacherous Thorns", but the request for Senpai's deletion is rejected. The reason for its rejection is that Senpai is the administrator of Hating Simulator, therefore making him immune to Evil Boyfriend's attempts to kill him. Though Senpai survives the deletion request, he does lose his eyeballs, which frustrates him into rapping hard with Spirit in "Treacherous Thorns". Senpai's No-Sell ability is eventually averted, once Evil Boyfriend successfully transfers his soul inside the game and gains the power to make the game accept the request in deleting Senpai.
  • Rage Breaking Point: Before Evil Boyfriend chooses to delete him, Senpai is angrily making threats to warn Evil Boyfriend and Evil Girlfriend to leave his game at once. Knowing full well what the outside world looks like, Senpai refuses to take the chance in letting them stay inside Hating Simulator. Once Evil Boyfriend attempts to delete Senpai, despite the warnings the latter made, Senpai is revealed to be immune to being deleted, due to being Hating Simulator's admin. After Senpai survives Evil Boyfriend's attempt to kill him, the former now furiously raps along with Spirit to flush out Evil Boyfriend and Evil Girlfriend out of the game.

    Spirit
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/spirit_corruption_crazy.png
This really is the end of this world, isn't it?
Spirit by the end of "Roots"
Spirit is a type of being that was trapped inside Hating Simulator some time ago by Daddy Dearest. With Evil Boyfriend and Evil Girlfriend causing the Hating Simulator game to glitch out, Spirit is given an opportunity to confront the intruders. At first, Spirit works with Senpai to battle Evil Boyfriend, before destroying Senpai's body to eventually confront Evil Boyfriend by himself in "Roots".
  • Adaptational Sympathy: His canon counterpart has him desire to kill Boyfriend for the purpose of claiming his body to escape Hating Simulator. In this mod, Spirit wants to kill Boyfriend, but not out of a desire to claim his body. Instead, Spirit is aware of the danger of the outside world and wants to make a difference in bringing Evil Boyfriend down to death alongside him. Upon failing the goal, Spirit loses his Slasher Smile of confidence and is deleted by Evil Boyfriend afterwards.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: Although it was kind of rude for him to destroy the body of Senpai, so he would be able to confront Evil Boyfriend by himself, Spirit is treated sympathetically for having failed in his mission. Despite the efforts and the confidence Spirit had in "Roots", it all goes away once he realizes that Evil Boyfriend was stronger than him. The realization causes Spirit to revert back to his original sprite, appearing as though he crossed the Despair Event Horizon. Afterwards the song, Evil Boyfriend deletes Spirit from existence to move onto confronting Daddy Dearest, the last victim.
  • Cessation of Existence: By failing to have killed Evil Boyfriend in "Roots", Spirit's final fate is to be deleted from Hating Simulator, just like with Senpai. The deletion permanently wipes off Spirit from existence with no come back alive like the other victims who have only been corrupted.
  • Curb Stomp Cushion: Spirit and Senpai were at first even with fighting Evil Boyfriend at "Treacherous Thorns", even though the latter wasn't finished with transacting his soul into the game. Once Evil Boyfriend is finished transporting his soul inside the game, he starts to have an advantage over Spirit in "Roots". Spirit may have believed himself in being able to take down Evil Boyfriend before dying, but the outcome of the battle has Evil Boyfriend completely outclass Spirit throughout the whole song. As the song gets close to finishing, Spirit gives up fighting back his inevitable fate and is subsequently deleted by Boyfriend.
  • Death by Adaptation: Originally, Spirit's fate in Friday Night Funkin' was left unknown after Boyfriend and Girlfriend beat him in "Thorns". After the song ends, there is no conclusion to show what exactly happened to Spirit. For this version of Spirit in Friday Night Funkin': Corruption, his final fate from having failed to kill Evil Boyfriend is by getting deleted from Hating Simulator. Spirit's fate is played tragically by the somber "Roots" and his changed facial expression implying he gave up resisting Evil Boyfriend.
  • Despair Event Horizon: By the start of "Roots", Spirit is always wearing a huge Slasher Smile to show his confidence to kill off Evil Boyfriend, despite the latter having fully transported his soul inside Hating Simulator. At first, Spirit believes himself to capable of beating Evil Boyfriend, but as the song nears its conclusion, it becomes clear that Evil Boyfriend always had the advantage. Realizing how futile it is to resist, Spirit loses his horrifying smile and returns to his normal sprite.
  • The Immune: Zig Zagged. Just like with Senpai, Spirit appears to be immune to Evil Boyfriend's Corruption virus. However, one major flaw Spirit has is that he can be deleted from Hating Simulator forever if Evil Boyfriend gains the status of administrator. In "Roots", Evil Boyfriend's soul transaction of the game is complete, which gives him absolute authority over Hating Simulator. Once Evil Boyfriend gains the power, Spirit becomes hopeless in attempting to kill Boyfriend and is swiftly erased from existence afterwards.
  • Killed Off for Real: Just like what happened to Senpai, Spirit is deleted from Hating Simulator and is never at all corrupted like the other victims that faced the Corruption.
  • Mind-Reformat Death: Once Evil Boyfriend succeeds in overpowering him in "Roots", Spirit gives up trying to resist in their battle. What happens afterwards is that Evil Boyfriend uses his new admin commands to have both him and Senpai deleted from their video game.
  • Slasher Smile: Unlike his original counterpart who never really smiles, Spirit in here shows a horrifying smile when confronting Evil Boyfriend. Although Spirit is aware he is living in a Crapsack World, he wants to make a difference by taking Evil Boyfriend together in their graves. Initially, Spirit's Slasher Smile signifies his confidence over killing Evil Boyfriend, but once the latter gets through "Roots", Spirit loses his Slasher Smile. Spirit, no longer smiling can only indicate that the battle to kill Evil Boyfriend was futile all along.
  • Taking You with Me: In his initial team up with Senpai, Spirit kills him and confronts Evil Boyfriend by himself. Spirit admits that he has no interest in letting Evil Boyfriend leave the game and would instead prefer killing him inside the game. Being aware that Evil Boyfriend also intends to kill him too, Spirit laments that it truly is the end of the world. However, Spirit brushes away his thoughts to declare that both he and Evil Boyfriend will die together inside Hating Simulator.

    Daddy Dearest
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/daddy_dearest_corruption_mod_video_picture.png
No more going easy on you, kid.
Daddy Dearest, the last survivor of the Corruption mod and is the final opponent to be confronted by Evil Boyfriend, after having deleted both Senpai and Spirit in Week 6. Daddy Dearest's confrontation has him be a Perpetual Frowner from the situation that ruined his family, leaving him all alone inside his stage. At first two songs of his week, Daddy Dearest seems to be losing to Evil Boyfriend until deciding to use his full powers in "Deathmatch" as a valiant effort to confront every victim of the Corruption.
  • Adaptational Badass: In his original appearance from Friday Night Funkin', Daddy Dearest had some of the easiest songs in the game. Though "Dadbattle" is the hardest song Daddy Dearest sung on his own, it pails to compare to the songs he sang in here. For all the songs he rapped against Evil Boyfriend, they are considerably much more difficult because of the many note patterns. Daddy Dearest reaches the peak of his powers in "Deathmatch", as when compared to previous victims who fell to the Corruption, Daddy Dearest ends up fighting all the corrupted opponents with no problem, except for his wife.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Originally, Daddy Dearest was a Boyfriend-Blocking Dad that took many extreme measures to have Boyfriend killed. For the version of Daddy Dearest here, although it may be possible, he may have wanted Boyfriend to die in "Deathmatch", he has a much more sympathetic reason for doing so. With the Corruption having taken over the world, Daddy Dearest is actively fighting for everyone that has fallen and refuses to give up.
  • Adaptational Sympathy: Daddy Dearest from the original game lacked sympathetic qualities because of his villainous nature. He wanted to have Boyfriend killed at all costs and even hired Pico to assassinate him. For the mod, although Daddy Dearest's actions against Boyfriend remain the same, Daddy Dearest is now dealing with a Corruption apocalypse that endangered the lives of his family. Facing Boyfriend again in Week 7 in this mod, Daddy Dearest is no longer a Smug Smiler, but a Perpetual Frowner for having lived alone inside his stage. With how horrible the situation had become; Daddy Dearest takes on Evil Boyfriend and all of the corrupted victims going against him. However, when confronted by corrupt Mommy Mearest, Daddy Dearest's resolve to fight the Corruption is destroyed, which rapidly corrupts him. His last moments before being corrupted is by frowning again, before Evil Boyfriend dominates the battle with him.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Originally, Daddy Dearest was a personal archenemy to Boyfriend and always makes overcomplicated schemes to have him killed. While in this mod, Daddy Dearest is shown to have befriended Boyfriend and is viewed as a trusted ally, because of Daddy Dearest being part of a Precious Photo in Week 8.
  • Baritone of Strength: Compared to his voice in "Lament" and "Dusk", he sings in a lower tone for "Deathmatch" and it is when he is at the peak of his powers.
  • Bookends: The first time Daddy Dearest confronts Boyfriend is in a stage and the final fight where Daddy Dearest is at is inside of a stage again. Initially, Daddy Dearest once served as the first boss for Boyfriend to face and becomes the final uncorrupted victim for Evil Boyfriend to face in Friday Night Funkin' Corruption.
  • Despair Event Horizon: "Lament" and "Dusk" both have Daddy Dearest be frowning from rap battling Evil Boyfriend but hasn't given up all hope in beating him. For "Deathmatch", Daddy Dearest stops trying to frown and is now going all out against Evil Boyfriend and all of his corrupted allies. Daddy Dearest starts off having the advantage for the first half of the fight, until his wife, Evil Mommy Mearest, steps into battle. Daddy Dearest fighting his wife causes him to return back to frowning and loses the will to resume fighting the Corruption army. Once Evil Boyfriend returns, Daddy Dearest is given a Curb-Stomp Battle by the second half of "Deathmatch" and is easily corrupted.
  • Game Face: The entirety of "Deathmatch" has him be angrily glaring at Evil Boyfriend and all of the corrupted victims. Daddy Dearest's extreme anger allows him to use his maximum powers to heal himself from all of the Corruption on his body and dominate all the corrupted foes. Daddy Dearest later loses his Game Face in the second half of the song, because of Evil Mommy Mearest breaking his heart, providing Evil Boyfriend an opportunity to corrupt him while his guard is down.
  • Healing Factor: "Dusk" showcases Daddy Dearest's ability to reverse the Corruption inflicted upon him by Evil Boyfriend. Daddy Dearest's ability is best active in the times where his eyes are glowing red. "Deathmatch" has his Healing Factor reach its peak, as he is reversing all the Corruption that Evil Boyfriend and his corrupted army had infected onto him.
  • I Am Not Left-Handed: Right after "Dusk" ends, Daddy Dearest promises Evil Boyfriend that he will stop going easy in their battle. "Deathmatch" has Daddy Dearest fulfill his words by being so angry that he practically nearly heals himself from all of the Corruption on his body. No matter what opponent Daddy Dearest is fighting against, he is no longer being affected by the corrupted enemies.
  • The Immune: Downplayed. He isn't actually immune to the Corruption, but his Healing Factor to reverse the Corruption on his body is so powerful that he is practically immune in "Deathmatch". Daddy Dearest's using his full power makes him absolutely untouchable to all of the Corruption's infection, but when he is faced with fighting against his own wife, Daddy Dearest loses his immunity. With no desire to fight, Daddy Dearest isn't able to rapidly heal himself from the infection and he gets dominated in the battle by Evil Boyfriend.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: Before "Deathmatch", Daddy Dearest is a serious threat to Evil Boyfriend and is not allowing himself to get easily corrupted. Although depressed from the dire situation, Daddy Dearest is more than willing to rap against Evil Boyfriend. Once Evil Boyfriend survives through "Dusk", Daddy Dearest makes it clear that he will stop holding back. The moment "Deathmatch" begins, Daddy Dearest puts aside his sadness and lets his fury manifest into gaining the power to face down all of Evil Boyfriend's corrupted army.
  • Nerves of Steel: Although "Lament" and "Dusk" have him be partially wallowing in a saddened look over how the Corruption ruined his life, he still keeps a calm attitude in his rap battle with Evil Boyfriend. This trope is eventually defied in two ways during "Deathmatch", as Daddy Dearest completely goes ballistic in the first half when he battles an entire army of corrupted victims. For the second half of the song, he loses whatever composure or anger he may have, because of Evil Mommy Mearest filling his heart with grief.
  • One-Man Army: "Deathmatch" has him at first take on Evil Boyfriend as the first opponent of the song. Then suddenly, Evil Boyfriend disappears and brings in different corrupted opponents to fight him. Despite Daddy Dearest being outnumbered by the many corrupted victims, he can contend with the difficulty and shows no signs of faltering. Yet when his corrupted wife joins in, Daddy Dearest may have been able to compete with her, but his grief over her Corruption is what drives him over the edge. Afterwards Evil Mommy Mearest's departure, Daddy Dearest is too heartbroken to resist Evil Boyfriend and gets defeated in the end of the battle.
  • Perpetual Frowner: "Lament" and "Dusk" have Daddy Dearest be always putting on a frowny face as his default expression. The only time he ever stops frowning is when he uses his full powers in "Deathmatch" to gain a Game Face in facing down an entire army of corrupted victims.
  • Psychosomatic Superpower Outage: Depending on the type of mood Daddy Dearest is feeling, his powers will fluctuate with his emotions. In the state where he is frowning from the situation, he is vulnerable to having his body corrupted. However, when feeling angry, Daddy Dearest's eyes will flare up and heal himself from the Corruption.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Daddy Dearest's powers to fight back and reverse the Corruption on his body is activated in the moments where his eyes are flaring red. As best shown in "Deathmatch", Daddy Dearest's red eyes have flared up so brightly that nearly all of the Corruption on his body is gone. If his red eyes are gone, Daddy Dearest is most susceptible to being infected by the Corruption.
  • Series Fauxnale: His entire week appears to be the finale of the entire Corruption mod series, since is features almost all of the victims that have fallen into the Corruption. Even before the week, Daddy Dearest was teased in the end of "Roots" to be the last surviving victim to be corrupted. In the aftermath of Daddy Dearest's Corruption, the announcement of his defeat is to say that the entire world was overpowered by the Corruption. Yet after everything that happened in his week, a Sequel Hook happens in the end of "Deathmatch", which teases Boyfriend to break free out of his Corruption.
  • World's Strongest Man: Out of all the survivors who have fought the Corruption on their own, Daddy Dearest proves himself to be the most formidable survivor. Alongside with being a One-Man Army, Daddy Dearest can reverse the Corruption inflicted onto him by Evil Boyfriend. Regardless of the massive army of corrupted victims that appeared in "Deathmatch", Daddy Dearest can compete with the overwhelming numbers of enemy. Although the strongest character the Corruption has fought, Daddy Dearest still loses, since his love for Mommy Mearest is what gets him defeated. Daddy Dearest could have competed with Mommy Mearest in her corrupted state, but his grief consumes him, and it gives Evil Boyfriend the chance to seize his victory.

    Soul Boyfriend (Unmarked Spoilers)

Voiced by: Saster

"Ready to ditch this joint?"
"Confinement. Paralysis. Loss of control. Is this where you want to be?
Wake up.

WAKE UP"
Inside the depths of Boyfriend's mind, an unknown being wakes him up in his Darkest Hour. With Boyfriend awakened, Soul Boyfriend challenges him into a rap Battle in the Center of the Mind. The battle they started had caused the Corruption on Boyfriend's body to slowly fade away. At first, Soul Boyfriend appears to be the embodiment of the Corruption, before finally confirming himself to be on Boyfriend side. Later after Boyfriend breaks free of the Corruption, Soul Boyfriend makes an appearance in "Estranged" to bring his hopes back up.
  • Ambiguously Evil: His rap battle with Boyfriend in "Tormentor" gives the implication that Soul Boyfriend is the Corruption that is trying to make Boyfriend give out inside his mind. Yet when viewing the dialog Soul Boyfriend says, he never at all mentions the Corruption and is only judging Boyfriend's style of rapping. "Neuroses" drops even more hints that Soul Boyfriend isn't related to the Corruption, as he makes it clear that he isn't trying to make Boyfriend feel nervous in their battle. "Discharge" and "MEMORY//LEAK" fully confirm Soul Boyfriend to be good all along since he is rapping Boyfriend for the purpose to motivate him in rejecting the Corruption out of his body.
  • Ambiguously Related: To "Glitch" Boyfriend, the form of Corrupted Boyfriend seen when he transfers his soul into Hating Simulator in Week 6. They heavily resemble each other in appearance and both are described as being a manifestation of Boyfriend's soul in some capacity, but Word of God states that they are completely separate entities. Muddying things further is the fact that hidden binary text in Glitch Boyfriend's art on the options menu describes one as a "mere copy" of the other, but it isn't clear which one is which due to the ambiguous speaker.
  • Badass Armfold: His left pose has his microphone be held by his Prehensile Tail, so he would have his arms be free to make an arm fold look cool.
  • Curse Cut Short: Soul Boyfriend nearly says "ass" when "MEMORY//LEAK" nears its end. Before Soul Boyfriend gets to have a chance to fully curse, him punching Boyfriend to wake up is what cuts it from being fully heard.
  • Dramatic Shattering: By the end of "Discharge", he and Boyfriend had rocked so hard inside their mind that they both shatter the entire background created by the Corruption. Following the shattering, Soul Boyfriend and Boyfriend use their guitars to smash the ground to end the song on a high note.
  • Evil Knock Off: To Evil Boyfriend's glitch form in Week 6, there is a binary code of Soul Boyfriend that has him say that Glitch Boyfriend is only a copy of himself. The dialog can imply Soul Boyfriend to not actually working for the Corruption.
  • Expressive Health Bar: Averted. Unlike the other surviving victims who have fought the Corruption and show their losing health bar changing their expressions, Soul Boyfriend's expression remains excited, despite Boyfriend overpowering him. This could be because Soul Boyfriend may want Boyfriend to beat him in battle and to encouraged to reject the Corruption out of his body.
  • Good All Along: At first, Soul Boyfriend looks as though that he is the Corruption Boyfriend is fighting. Later in "Neuroses" Soul Boyfriend is proven to not be the cause that is corrupting Boyfriend because of his dialog warning him to focus on their battle, rather than the grim environment the Corruption is creating.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Soul Boyfriend may want to help Boyfriend break free from the Corruption inside his mind, Soul Boyfriend's help is by rocking loudly inside the mind. Soul Boyfriend's way to kickstart Boyfriend is to scream at him to wake up and by throwing a guitar at him in "Discharge" to feel motivated.
  • Horned Humanoid: His strengthened form in the early parts of "Neuroses" create two white horns for his head.
  • Imaginary Friend: In "MEMORY//LEAK", Soul Boyfriend himself admits that he was never really a real person, meaning that he is an Imaginary Friend that Boyfriend created, so both could rap together in overpowering the Corruption taking hold on their body.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: He has eyes that are blank with no pupils, and they are both colored fully white.
  • Move Along, Nothing to See Here: Once the Corruption takes action to turn the Mental World of Boyfriend's mind into orange and makes it crack, Soul Boyfriend warns Boyfriend to not be distracted from what the Corruption is doing. Instead, Soul Boyfriend orders Boyfriend to just focus on their battle, so that they may beat the Corruption.
  • My Name Is ???: Week 8, the week where he originates from, has its title be only filled with question marks. The title name could probably indicate his mysterious nature on whether he works for the Corruption or is trying to assist Boyfriend by rap battling him.
  • Not Me This Time: While rap battling Boyfriend in "Neuroses", the Corruption spots them and intensifies the environment, so that Boyfriend would give up fighting. Soul Boyfriend responds to the threat by telling Boyfriend that he isn't ruining the environment and that they should focus on the battle instead.
  • Original Character: Soul Boyfriend was introduced into this mod for the purpose of helping Boyfriend to reject the Corruption in his body. Soul Boyfriend's initial introduction was that he appeared to be the personification of the Corruption, before being revealed to have been an ally of Boyfriend all along. Once Boyfriend regains control over his body, Soul Boyfriend continues to assist Boyfriend by backing up his confidence to not give up.
  • Other Me Annoys Me: In a binary code for Glitch Boyfriend, Soul Boyfriend considers the glitch version of Evil Boyfriend as a copy or inspiration of himself that the Corruption had created.
  • Prehensile Tail: He uses his long tail to grab onto his microphone and sing without having to use his hands.
  • Power Glows: Soul Boyfriend gains Volcanic Veins that glow on his body, which signifies his powers to be getting stronger in the early parts of "Neuroses".
  • The Rival: Invoked. Soul Boyfriend may be the main opponent of Week 8, but he is only against Boyfriend for benevolent purposes that can help the latter beat the Corruption. Their battle with each other allows Boyfriend to build on the goal of getting stronger to impress Soul Boyfriend and gain the power to overpower the Corruption.
  • Rockers Smash Guitars: Soul Boyfriend, along with Boyfriend end "Discharge" by rocking their guitars so much that it dramatically shatters the dark void of the Corruption. Afterwards, Soul Boyfriends ends the entire Corruption inside Boyfriend's mind by smashing his guitar onto the ground just like what Boyfriend did.
  • Volcanic Veins: "Neuroses" has him gain glowing white lines over his entire body to show himself be empowered by assisting Boyfriend in battling the Corruption. The glowing white lines eventually disappear in the song, once Evil Boyfriend stares directly at his and Boyfriend's Battle in the Center of the Mind.
  • Walking Spoiler: Even before the reveal that he was Good All Along, Soul Boyfriend is the very first opponent that Boyfriend fights in order to combat the Corruption. In "Neuroses", hints are dropped that Soul Boyfriend doesn't actually work for the Corruption and is in fact supporting Boyfriend. Once "Discharge" starts, it becomes apparent that Soul Boyfriend's allegiance is actually with Boyfriend and that they have been working together the attire time to gain control over their body. For Soul Boyfriend's dialog in "MEMORY//LEAK", he is revealed to be a Helpful Hallucination created by Boyfriend, so the latter would have a rival to feel motivated.
  • You Are Not Alone: At the times where Boyfriend is feeling down, Soul Boyfriend comes to the rescue to give emotional support.
    • Boyfriend, getting his determination by the purple aura that the Corruption had created, Soul Boyfriend takes action by demanding him to wake up and remember his friends in a Precious Photo. Once Soul Boyfriend awakens Boyfriend's determination, both of them overpower the Corruption and take control of their body again.
    • As Boyfriend gets close to shutting down from Evil Girlfriend's intense illusions in "Estranged", Soul Boyfriend comes to the rescue inside the mind of Boyfriend. With the screen becoming static and blurry, Boyfriend temporarily sings with Soul Boyfriend and gets his confidence replenished by him. Following the encouragement, Boyfriend is now prepared to face down Evil Girlfriend for the second half of "Estranged".

Undead Tankmen and Tank Amalgam (Unmarked Spoilers)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tankman_amalgam_corruption_mod_video_picture.png
"WELCOME TO THE ENDGAME."
"THE FIRST ANGEL SOUNDED. AND THERE FOLLOWED HAIL AND FIRE MINGLED WITH BLOOD...AND THEY WERE CAST UPON THE EARTH. AND IN THOSE DAYS SHALL MEN SEEK DEATH AND SHALL NOT FIND IT. I AM ALPHA AND OMEGA. THE BEGINNING...AND THE END."
The Tank Amalgam
The Tankmen, although they were never shown to have been overpowered by the Corruption, they make their first appearance in "Extractor". The Tankmen are piled up on top of one another to form a large mountain of corpses for Evil Pico to stand on. Eventually, the Tankmen corpses are blown up by Evil Pico to start "Headshot". In the aftermath of Pico having been saved from the Corruption, an undead army of Tankmen surround Pico, Boyfriend, and Girlfriend. The Tankmen serve as the main antagonist for "Brainstorm", the last song for Week 10, and "Hivemind".
  • Adaptational Badass: Their original counterparts simply stay dead once Pico shoots them in the head during "Stress" from Friday Night Funkin'. However, the versions of Tankmen here are already dead, yet they are still capable of endangering Boyfriend, Pico, and Girlfriend. By the end of "Brainstorm", the undead Tankmen army quickly jump on top of each other to form a Tankman kaiju, and it worries the survivors that are fending them off.
  • Adapted Out: Double subverted: Tankman is not part of the initial few weeks that have Corrupted Boyfriend fight the cast, as he wasn't in the base game at the time. When Weeks 10 and 11 roll around, it isn't the Tankman the trio face, but rather deceased and corrupted tankmen soilders that combine into one larger hivemind.
  • A God Am I: His introductory lines come from quotes of the Revelation book of the Bible, and they serve as a way to declare his high status as an invincible being. Tankman believes himself to be the Alpha and the Omega, a title that acts as one of the names of God. To further push the lengths of his legendary status, he claims to own the keys of both Hell and death.
  • Always a Bigger Fish: Tankman proves himself to be a competent threat that forces Pico and Boyfriend to team up together just to have a chance at battling him. Despite the duo's teamwork, they fail to do anything in damaging Tankman. The only way Tankman was taken out was because the Harvester flicked their finger to obliterate Tankman, which shows how dangerous the Harvester is.
  • Atop a Mountain of Corpses: The dead Tankmen that were in "Extractor" were treated as a giant mountain of corpses that Evil Pico used to stand on top off. Later in the song, Evil Pico blows up the mountain of corpses, so he would be on the ground to start "Headshot".
  • Back from the Dead: Implied. The Tankmen army that had attacked Pico, Boyfriend, and Girlfriend are all dead, as their bodies are shown to have their internal organs exposed to the environment. Although the Tankmen may have died either through being blown up by Evil Pico or the Corruption, the Tankmen's corrupted bodies have somehow brought them back to life.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: Tankman is a genuinely competent threat that is able to endanger both Boyfriend and Pico fighting him at the same time. Even if Pico shoots him, Tankman can block out all of the bullets and is shown to be invincible for the entirety of "Hivemind". For the whole song, Tankman is frequently making Badass Boasts on his powerful status and how Boyfriend, Pico, and Girlfriend are no match for him. Nevertheless, Tankman's threat is quickly put to an end once the Harvester takes action in one Badass Finger Snap.
  • Big "NO!": The scream Tank Amalgam makes before he explodes sounds like one of these.
  • Body Horror: Tankman is a large humanoid creature that lacks any flesh and all of his bones are exposed for the trio of survivors to see.
  • Bolivian Army Cliffhanger: The Tankmen zombies begin to pile up and create a giant version of themselves in the background of "Brainstorm". As the anagram of Tankman grows, the video for "EVIL Pico vs BF FINAL BATTLE!" ends with the Sequel Hook that Tankman will be the opponent for Week 11.
  • Body of Bodies: To form the giant Tankman, the little Tankmen army all jump over the highway railings to create a giant form of themselves. As Tankman grew in size, his head is shown to be clumping in the background from the many Tankmen merging themselves.
  • Breath Weapon: In a third person view, Tankman shoots a powerful purple laser beam out of his mouth which will hit Pico and Boyfriend. Boyfriend and Pico both have to dodge the attack to avoid getting hit by the large laser.
  • Composite Character: This hulking, undead behemoth might be Tankman in name, but the constant visual glitches, the combined Body of Bodies' enormous size, the threatening red messages that pop up throughout "Hivemind", and the attempts to blow Boyfriend sky-high all call to mind Tricky the Clown, especially his third "Hellclown" phase from The Tricky Mod. The Amalgam's considerable Body Horror elements, gratuitous claims of divinity, scarily deep voice, and occasional taunts of "too slow" give it shades of Xenophanes, too.
  • Defeat Equals Explosion: Evil Tankman is defeated by Harvester intervening through a snap of their finger. The one snap causes Tankman's bones to inflate in size, before exploding into oblivion, putting an end to his terror.
  • Dies Differently in Adaptation: Zig-zagged. In Friday Night Funkin', a majority of Tankmen met their end from Pico shooting them in "Stress". For Friday Night Funkin': Corruption, the Tankmen are killed by the Corruption and come back to life as undead zombies. After coming back to life and turning themselves into a massive Tankman, they all eventually meet their demise by being blown open from the Harvester's finger snap.
  • Evil Laugh: Evil Tankman has unleashed two evil laughs for the duration of "Hivemind".
    • After finishing reciting a bible quote of he himself holding the keys of Hell and death, he releases an evil laugh to continue his battle.
    • In preparation to switch into a front forward view of himself, Tankman lets out an evil laugh to intimidate the trio of survivors.
  • Eyeless Face: Downplayed. Tankman's goggles are removed and behind it there is only a glowing white eye, but the face is devoid of any actual eyeballs.
  • I Am the Noun: After declaring himself as Alpha and Omega, Tankman pronounces himself as the beginning and the end for Boyfriend, Pico, and Girlfriend.
  • Immediate Sequel: The introduction to "Hivemind" begins at the very end of "Brainstorm". As the Tankmen zombies begin jumping out of the railings, a large anagram of Tankman begins forming in the background by the end of "Brainstorm". By "Hivemind", the Tank Amalgam begins speaking in bible verses, as it continuously rises. After it's finish with merging, the camera switches into another perspective that shows the appearance of the Tank Amalgam.
  • Immune to Bullets: No matter how many shots Tankman is hit by Pico, Tankman can endure them without a problem and shows no signs of weakness from it.
  • Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy: Tankman never succeeds in ever landing a direct hit to Boyfriend, Pico, and Girlfriend with his Breath Weapon. In spite of Tankman's laser being a large beam, he shakes his head so wildly that it never hits his targets.
  • Interface Spoiler: What sets Tankman from the other corrupted victims is how his appearance differs from them. Rather than be covered with black and pink tints around his body, the thumbnail shows Tankman's skeleton as he faces off against Boyfriend. The size of Tankman is shown to be larger than any corrupted victim, since the thumbnail only shows Tankman's face and not his entire body, which could imply his large size.
  • Killed Offscreen: Once the Tankmen make their first appearance in Week 10, they appear as a pile of corpses that are already dead, despite never having been faced off as an opponent. The moment they become the main opponents for Week 11, they fight Boyfriend, Girlfriend, and Pico in their undead state.
  • No Body Left Behind: Zig-Zagged. As an army of Tankmen soldiers, their corpses stacked on top of another to form a hill. However, in their merged form, Tankman's body is killed yet again by being blown up from a Badass Finger Snap of the Harvester. The explosion of Tankman obliterates all of the remaining body parts he might still have intact.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: The Tankmen look completely different from other corrupted characters and in fact have no outward signs of corruption at all, instead taking after more traditional zombies. Despite this, the opening animation indicates that they are still subservient to the Corruption, as several Tankmen can be seen following behind Corrupted Boyfriend, Girlfriend, and Pico.
  • Not So Invincible After All: Though it's able to shrug off everything Boyfriend and Pico throw at it and rub it in their faces in the process, the Tank Amalgam proves to be no match for Harvester, who easily dispatches him with a Badass Finger Snap.
  • Ominous Visual Glitch: Tankman's song, "Hivemind", can cause the screen to statically glitch from the intensity of his, Boyfriend, and Pico's rapping.
  • "Pop!" Goes the Human: Once the Harvester snaps their finger, Tankman's body begins to inflate like a balloon, despite having no skin on his body. Tankman continues to inflate, until his body explodes with nothing remaining of himself.
  • Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: While rising above and behind the highway railings, Tankman recites lines from the bible to introduce his status as the Alpha and the Omega, before the screen changes for Boyfriend and Pico to rap battle against him.
  • Pre-Explosion Glow: Right as the Tankman Amalgam is inflating under pressure, his body lets out beams of glowing lights, before exploding into pieces.
  • Red Filter of Doom: "Hivemind" gains a glowing red filter during most of the song for the second time the Tank Amalgam is given a face forward perspective of himself.
  • Shadowed Face, Glowing Eyes: Tankman's eyes are hollow without his goggles and the only thing that can be seen inside its hollow appearance is a glowing light when he viewed first-person.
  • Shout-Out: One of Tankman's lines during "Hivemind" is that he says Boyfriend and Pico are "TOO SLOW" to keep up, before the screen changes perspective. Tankman saying "TOO SLOW", could be a reference to "Too Slow", a song from Vs Sonic.exe.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Downplayed. A huge number of Tankmen soldiers were killed by Pico shooting them in "Stress" from Friday Night Funkin'. In this mod, although the Evil Pico blows up the mountain of Tankmen corpses by the end of "Extractor", the Tankmen corpses soon come back to life. While the Tankmen soldiers may be dead, they are technically alive for being able to function as a threat to Boyfriend, Pico, and Girlfriend. For Tankman's status as being technically alive, it is subverted in "Hivemind", due to having been Killed Off for Real by the Harvester.
  • Spikes of Villainy: Tankman's giant form has lots of spikes that formed around his shoulder and head armor to emphasize his menacing appearance.
  • Stripped to the Bone: As a group of Tankmen, some of their body parts have their bones exposed as they walk towards Boyfriend, Pico, and Girlfriend. In the fused state of the Tankmen, their whole body is stripped of its flesh and all the bones are showing through the armor it has.
  • Synchronized Swarming: The Tankmen at the end of "Brainstorm" all swarm together in a line by jumping out of the highway to form a giant singular being of themselves.
  • Wall of Text: The first time the Tank Amalgam releases his Evil Laugh, a text of his laughter appear in a Freeze-Frame Bonus to cover the screen, before switching into another perspective.
  • Walking Spoiler: Tank Amalgam is the only character that didn't appear in the opening animation, (But however, some undead Tankmen appear along with Evil BF, Evil GF and Evil Pico at one point) probably this is the reason why he didn't appeared.

Others

    Monster
The Monster, implied to be the creator of the Corruption that had infected the FNF casts. Despite being the creator of the apocalypse that ruined the world, he never directly confronts anyone and the closest he ever has to appearing is his cameo appearance in Week 2.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Originally on Friday Night Funkin', the Monster was only a villain that threatened Boyfriend and Girlfriend under his illusions. Monster's appearances in FNF ultimately left little impact afterwards and he was mainly a Giant Space Flea from Nowhere. However, the Monster's appearance in here implies him to be the creator of a dangerous virus that threatens to corrupt every character in the world. His influence can be felt throughout all the weeks where the Corruption is being dealt with.
  • The Cameo: For the only time he ever directly appears in this mod was his cameo appearance in Week 2. Monster pops up in the background window of the mansion where Skid is fighting for his life against the corrupted opponents.
  • Demoted to Extra: From the canon game, Monster faces off against Boyfriend in two songs, which are "Monster" and "Winter Horrorland". Yet in the Corruption mod, he has no songs where he ever rap battles anyone and he can only be seen in the background window of Week 2.
  • Sinister Silhouettes: The Monster's appearance of behind the mansion window of Week 2 can only be seen as a silhouette. None of his facial features are exposed and only a shadow of his body is seen.
  • Unseen Evil: The Monster is never presented as an opponent of the Corruption mod and can only be seen in a background appearance from Week 2. Yet despite his lack of appearance, there are implications that he unleashed The Corruption to infect the world, considering it is based off a Christmas tree head in Week 5 of the original game.

    Henchmen
Mommy Mearest's former Henchmen from Friday Night Funkin'. Initially, the Henchmen once served as her backup dancers when she once fought Boyfriend. Now, in their corrupted state, the Henchmen make their debut by ruining Mommy Mearest's attempts to save Pico from the Corruption.
  • The Cavalry: The Henchmen act as a reinforcement army to ensure that Evil Pico is given the edge in overpowering Mommy Mearest. If they had not come, there would have been a possibility of Mommy Mearest succeeding in uncorrupting Pico.
  • Cavalry Betrayal: Before their Corruption, the Henchmen once acted as loyal back dancers for her. They primarily dance in the background while watching Mommy Mearest and Boyfriend battle each other in Friday Night Funkin'. However, once the Henchmen are corrupted in this mod, they betray Mommy Mearest by ambushing her in "Schizophrenzy" to destroy whatever chance she may have on saving Evil Pico.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: Aside from their Sinister Silhouettes, the Henchmen's face can only be visible by the white glow their eyes are emitting onto the battlefield.
  • Sinister Silhouettes: The background appearances of the Henchmen can only be seen by their Sinister Silhouettes. Their bodies are completely darkened, and the Henchmen only move statically in the background. With their bodies shadowed, the only body features that can be seen are their Glowing Eyes of Doom.
  • Summon Backup Dancers: Played for Horror. Before their Corruption, the Henchmen once served Mommy Mearest as her back dancers during her battle previous battle with Boyfriend. After the Henchmen's Corruption, they become much more menacing because of their static movements and Glowing Eyes of Doom. Their sudden appearance in "Schizophrenzy" is what allows Evil Pico to corrupt Mommy Mearest, while they all stand in the background to watch her downfall.
  • Zerg Rush: Before their appearance, Mommy Mearest looks as though she may actually succeed in saving Pico from the Corruption during "M.I.L.K.". Yet once the corrupted Henchmen make their appearance, their support completely overwhelms Mommy Mearest, which practically hands Evil Pico a quick victory for "Schizophrenzy".

    Harvester (Unmarked Spoilers)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/harvester_corruption_mod_video_picture.jpg
THE HARVESTER
The Harvester is a completely Original Character to FNF: Corruption, first making their appearance in Week 10 and overseeing events going on.
  • Ambiguously Evil: It's not yet known what alignment The Harvester is on, considering their indirect aid against the Corruption by disrupting Evil Pico and forcing him to go into his Nexus form, or causing the Tankman Colossus to outright explode with just a snap of their hand. The cutscene following Week 11, however, shows them having harvested around 10,000 souls by that point, hinting that either they might be secretly working with the mastermind behind the Corruption, or are simply on their own agenda. The opening establishes them as either the Big Bad or specifically a rival towards Boyfriend, but it's not made clear.
  • Badass Finger Snap: By just the snap of their finger, Harvester immediately causes the giant Tankman to build up in pressure and explode in the end of "Hivemind".
  • Early-Bird Cameo: They make their official debut in "Hivemind", where they watch the ensuing battle between Evil Tankman, Boyfriend, Pico, and Girlfriend. Before Harvester's full on-screen appearance, they appeared in "Headshot" to watch over Boyfriend and Evil Pico. Harvester's appearance can only be barely seen in the background, since they are on top of a faraway building.
  • Feet-First Introduction: In an animated cutscene during "Hivemeind", the camera views the floor of a building, before a foot step of the Harvester is made. Once the footstep is onscreen, Harvester makes their face known as they watch the ensuing battle.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: In "Headshot", Harvester's silhouette figure can only be seen from afar in a background building. They stay there to watch Evil Pico battle Boyfriend, until choosing to fly away near the end of the song.

  • Hidden Agenda Villain: Harvester makes their debut by watching over Tankman battle out Boyfriend, Pico, and Girlfriend in "Hivemind". Near the end of the song, the Harvester takes action to kill the Tank Amalgam for no explained reason, other than extracting the souls it contained.
  • Meaningful Background Event: The Harvester watches over Boyfriend and Evil Pico battle out each other during "Headshot". While the Harvester may not be the main focus and is only seen in the background, they eventually play a role in killing the Tank Amalgam by the end of "Hivemind".
  • Monster Clown: When they first appear properly during Week 11, their gear is akin to a jester, with a mask concealing a face save for some glowing eyes.
  • Mysterious Watcher:
    • Right after Boyfriend gets back up from enduring a gunshot from Evil Pico, the Harvester appears in a background building to watch the ensuing battle. The Harvester leaves the battle as soon as "Headshot" reaches its end.
    • For "Hivemind", Harvester makes their official debut by looking from afar to to watch the Tank Amalgam battle Boyfriend, Pico, and Girlfriend. Harvester takes action near the end of the song by finger snapping Tankman to explode.
  • Ominous Cube: The Harvester has a floating black cube on top of their hand and it extracts the soul energy of the Tankman Amalgam that was killed.
  • Original Character: The Harvester was not present in Friday Night Funkin', the original game. They appear exclusively on this mod by acting as a Mysterious Watcher to Evil Pico and Evil Tankman.
  • Shadowed Face, Glowing Eyes: Behind the eye holes of their mask, Harvester's actual eyes are only seen through how it is glowing. Their eyes make a small sharp shrink in "Hivemind" to indicate their intrigue over watching Boyfriend, Pico, and Girlfriend battle Tankman.
  • Soul-Powered Engine: The cube that the Harvester is holding, extracts the white particles that are coming off the deceased Tankman Amalgam and it fuels the cube into temporarily charging up Tron Lines.
  • Tron Lines: The Ominous Cube the Harvester is holding in the aftermath cutscene of "Hivemind" temporarily gains glowing lines that indicate the energy it absorbed from the Tankman Amalgam.
  • Villainous Rescue: They have their own hidden agenda over killing the Tank Amalgam and using its death to absorb the many souls inside the Tankman. Harvester may be Ambiguously Evil, but by killing the Tank Amalgam, they saved Boyfriend, Pico, and Girlfriend from further endangering themselves in their fight.
  • Winged Humanoid: Harvester has a pair of wings behind their backs that they can use to fly away. In their Early-Bird Cameo appearance during "Headshot", they use their wings to fly out of the battle near the end of the song.
