open Old cartoon with animals
I saw a show when I was young and the entire premise of it was teaching kids to call 911 in an emergency. I remember one episode where some kids climbed into a cave and it collapsed on them and obviously you call 911. I remember a tiger girl dressed as a firefighter too. I just want to know what it's called.

Why is the icon for the Self-Demonstrating namespace some kind of fruit? (See here)
openMeet the New Boss
CH4S added an image to Meet the New Boss. But don't you have to start an Image Pickin' thread to even add a picture to a page?
openHelp editing Print Comic
I need help with editing and proof reading the character page for Spider-Man 2099. I started the page and I'm the only one editing it, so while I try to fix as much as possible, there are always some errors that escape my notice. Some help in actually troping would also be appreciated.
open Western Animation/Blues Clues Western Animation
With all due respect, Blues Clues did not "pioneer" the kid's show version of an interactive narrator. Miss Lois on Romper Room and Captain Kangaroo spoke directly to ME as a little kid watching TV in the late 1950s and the early 1960s. Blues Clues may have developed the idea, but they didn't pioneer it.
Edited by JeffinSTLopenHistorical Characters/Organizations and Useful Notes
When historical characters / organizations (e.g. Alexander the Great, The Teutonic Knights, modern military forces, etc.) appear in a work, how do we list them if you can't put Useful Notes in the trope list?
openYMMV edit for Sonic 2020 Film
I'd suggest adding Author's Saving Throw to the YMMV page for the film, mentioning the redesign, and how it was given more positive reception by fans.
openCharacter Sheet Artwork Anime
If a character has character sheet artwork (basically a full-body image of them), then can it unilaterally replace their previous image?
For example, Tropers.Emperormaskado (edit history) did a site-wide change earlier this year to several anime pages:
I tried looking for any evidence of them getting approval, but I've come up short. It's been a while since they did it, so I guess there's no point in questioning them, but their changes were unilateral, correct?
Edited by JRads47openWork pages needing help
Do we have a forum / clean-up thread dedicated to fixing poorly written work pages (ZCE, poor grammar, etc.) that you're not too familiar with, but has enough salvageable content to not outright cut?
openSteven Universe Nightmare Fuel images
imbouttoheadout has added some episode-specific images to the Season 1 folder of NightmareFuel.Steven Universe.
I was under the impression that this practice was discouraged, and that it was preferred to have just one image on top of the page. I've seen a few cases where there's one image per folder representing the season, but I don't think I've ever seen pages where individual episodes each have their own image in the folder.
openAdding a hat on a draft I grabbed
Few days ago I grabbed a very old draft, Barbarian Tropes, which has right now 4 hats. I'm basically done with it, I just have to discuss whether to reorganise the tropes present there and whether to add only a few more. Theoretically, nothing prevents me to add the fifth hat and launch it myself when I'll feel it is ready, but I'd feel like that would be "cheating" on the rules of the TLP, since if I had started the draft from scratch I wouldn't have been able to add a hat; like if I forcibly launched a draft with still 4 hats. Is it better for me to wait for a fifth hat by a third part, or what I'm saying was already done in the past without consequences?
open1-entry subpage
So, I read somewhere that a work page has to have at least three legitimate tropes to not be cut as a stub. Does this rule apply for its subpages? I've found YMMV and Trivia pages where there's only 1 entry (for the latter, it's usually just a note that the fandom has a wikia page). Is this allowed?
openSonic the Hedgehog Movie.
In YMMV.Sonic The Hedgehog 2020, I think some of the entries are premature and kneejerked reaction from the first official trailer. Some include Memetic Loser, Inferred Holocaust, Memetic Psychopath, and Rooting for the Empire. And mostly are about Sonic's first design and before he got a redesign.
Edited by WhirlRXopenMemetic Loser misused/complaining?
Question about the following examples from Memetic Loser:
- My Little Pony: The Movie (2017): The Princesses hit an all-time low with this, what with them being taken out by Tempest Shadow in only a few seconds.
- My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic S9 E24 "The Ending of the End – Part 1": Despite being the Grand Finale of the animated show, it's safe to say anyone that isn't the Mane 6 will taken out of the equation due to being side characters with the delicacy of a sledgehammer, resulting in this trope.
- The Pillars of Equestria. Their battle prowess mostly have only been told about by others rather than shown onscreen while their only onscreen victory was against the Sirens and it was less of an actual fight but a Wronski Feint without much fighting. Their onscreen defeat back that led them to be sealed in Limbo was against the Pony of Shadows, one of the more generally weaker villains in the show due to being an Anti-Climax Boss, which in turn makes the Pillars even weaker. Their quick defeat against Tirek was pretty much the last straw, making many viewers think that their reputation felt undeserved and/or was overblown as a whole. Not to mention, this also made the efforts of the heroes bringing them back from Limbo all the more pointless as they essentially brought back a team of Mauve Shirts.
- Celestia and Luna getting their magic sucked out by Cozy Glow in less than a minute. Many viewers compared it to their disastrous showing in the 2017 movie. Not to mention, this effectively squanders their last chance to show any of their magic that isn't a simple laser or raising of the Sun and Moon. The fact that their best showing in the series was against a freak snowstorm rather than any villain speaks volumes. Because of this, some have been speculating since the Season 9 premiere that their actual reason for retirement is because they are sick and tired of being constantly used for The Worf Effect as it's repeated usage had been chipping away at their confidence to handle violent threats until they can't take it anymore.
- While both groups were busted free by Starlight Glimmer, it's noted that they were defeated offscreen again buying the Mane 6 time while not participating in the Final Battle.
Memetic Loser is about fans exaggerating their ineptitude, this is just complaining about it without explaining how fans are exaggerating it. The former is, with explanation for why it's exaggerated, covered by Never Live It Down. The latter ones are not widespread opinions as far as I know (though other controversies from the episode might have overshadowed it), especially not compared to the former, and comes off especially the first part, as a personal beef. Any objections to cutting?
I also asked complaining cleanup.
open"Played for Horror"?
I've seen people adding "Played for Horror" onto Playing With pages, which seems to be very similar to Played for Drama, but sometimes the pages list both "Played for Drama" and "Played for Horror". What's with that?
open Question for a Quotes page
User Napoleon_Blownapart created a quotes page for Hazbin Hotel. The single quote they wrote in it however isn't stated anywhere in the show. It comes instead from Mark Twain and has no real connection to the show.
Here's my question. Shouldn't quote pages for series contain actual quotes from the series?
I'm asking because the Mark Twain quote Napoleon_Blownapart wrote is unrelated to the show and seems very misplaced. It expresses a somewhat similar theme to one expressed by the show but it feels very reaching and irrelevant.
I'm thinking of taking the quote out for these reasons but somewhat unsure if it's the right course of action.
Additionally, if I were to take out the quote, should I simply take out the quote and leave a completely empty page, or just ask for the page's deletion since there's just the one quote on it?
Edited by ElfkaiseropenAlmost Spoilers Off? Film
Stumbled upon the page for Star Trek: First Contact and I noticed that it has an unmarked spoilers warning, but it still says some spoilers will be marked?
Should we remove the handful of remaining spoiler tags and make it a Spoilers Off page, or should we just remove the warning?
This movie's over 20 years old, so we're long passed the point of having to be careful about spoiling it for people.
openTroping real life on Music/ namespace
Soufriere tropes real life on Music/ namespace despite knowing it's against the rules.
We had a conversation about this a while ago when I did some cleanup on Music.Lady Baby and Music.Baby Metal. Now there's Music.Sakura Gakuin.
I've actually put Characters.Sakura Gakuin to cutlist (don't know if it's gonna be approved for the cut but I think it's all troping the group members as if they were fictional characters; it's about the real life people, not their stage personas or fictional depiction of them). ETA: If it is about their fictional depiction for example in their official videos or reality shows, then I think it needs hard work on example context, especially with explaining this to people who are not fans and not familiar with the group and their style.
An extract from their PM: [removed as requested]
They probably need to hear it from moderators that we don't trope real life and that they should stick to Creator Page Guidelines (troping their work, not their life). There's probably some effort to stick to the rules on their part but they still hope they might sneak improper content anyway.
They claim I deleted some legitimate stuff that's fair game and should have stayed on the page. Now, it could have happened — but the page was (is) filled with natter and irrelevant entries that it's hard to say what is okay. If anything, I think the page needs even more cleanup (for correct example indentation and ZCE). ETA: However, if I removed something that should have stayed on the page, then I'm genuinely sorry. But I honestly did try to edit the page as best as I could.

Troper Jadabunz might need a tap-on-the-shoulder as far as the TLP goes. They've been making substandard drafts, but that's not what really concerns me. What does worry me is the fact that they don't seem to have the patience required to actually attempt to fix their draft.
They rage-discarded here and here, didn't listen to criticism here... and here, they didn't even stay around for discussion.
The key seems to be that they can't handle getting criticism on their drafts, but they're also too impatient to actually stick around and try to make their drafts better. While they claim to be making an effort, they've not improved. And they'll never improve if they won't take their time.
