This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Yes. Some may see it as a problem, but hey, you can do it (not actual new policy, that'd be too rash for one user even if the software allows it, but you can make that redirect).

EDIT: For the entry on "Rape Is Okay/Funny If...", I propose the following revision to remove a chained sinkhole:
- "Rape is Okay/Funny if..." tropes: Very troublesome names for the "Double Standard Rape" tropes that led to issues with advertisers. All five of them (Female on Male, Female on Female, Male on Male, Divine on Mortal, and Sci-Fi) were renamed and cleaned, with the original trope pages outright purged.

Can we finally unlock the Cyberpunk 2077 page? It contains outdated or flat-out incorrect information that doesn't take into account anything revealed in the last six months, and we're less than two months away from release, with the game being already considered completed.

On Monster.Film C To E, based on the cleanup thread, can the entries for District 9 be updated to:
- Koobus Venter is a sadistic member of a special ops team who gets his jollies off murder, and relishes being able to kill without repercussion. Koobus guns down a prawn after it's been subdued and later leads a violent hunt for Wikus, with full willingness to kill whoever gets in the way. Koobus psychologically tortures the prawn Christopher Johnson while beating him and threatens to kill him regardless of getting Wikus, gleefully saying he can't believe he's getting paid to do what he loves: he just loves watching the Prawns die.
- Obesandjo, the leader of the Nigerian gangsters, sets up his racket in District 9 and distributes cat food to the aliens, which is like a drug that keeps them hooked. He also operates "interspecies prostitution" rings, offering the prawns human women. The worst, however, is when he has innocent aliens butchered, so he can eat their flesh and gain their power. When he captures Wikus, he fully plans to cut off his Prawn parts and eat them himself.

OK, so I sorted out through the most egregious misconceptions and outdated info (for example, the Wall Crawl featured in the 2018 gameplay has been Dummied Out as the devs couldn't make it work on a larger scale, and the tech/power/smart weapons entries have been rewritten based on the updated info from August livestream).
I still need to figure out how to describe the Braindance gameplay presented in the August livestream, it basically describes Braindance recordings as containing things that you can't consciously see because your brain's filtering most of it out to avoid Sensory Overload - but when you go through it frame-by-frame, you can spot an amount of detail requiring Super-Senses.
