I have a Single Proposition Crowner for In The Blood Trope Transplant. Any thoughts and opinions?
Previous thread (which got locked because people lost interest, but we mostly had consensus) for reference.
Paging admins to hook up the single proposition crowner.
It's hooked.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportSupport has been unanimous so far. I say we should go ahead and put the proposal to work.
What should the new evil-specific trope be called?
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!Villainous Lineage? It's the easy answer I came up with a while ago, as a counterpart to Heroic Lineage. I think we can do better though.

right now it seems 12 to 0.
I like this, and I'm going to suggest Hereditary Villainy and Hereditary Evil as alternatives.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Once the rename crowner is finished, titles crowner.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project! When does the crowner end?
I am fairly certain that this can be called now.
Yep, safe to call. Let's start the transplant process.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportWait, what will the new name be?
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project! So if it's a supertrope, what would yhe subtropes be?
Off the top of my head there's Shared Family Quirks, It Runs in the Family, Superpowerful Genetics and Lamarck Was Right.

We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaThere is also a similar supertrope and index of subtropes Like Father, Like Son.
I think there will be a crowner for the new name? I like the Villainous Lineage as a name.
I'm suggesting Inherited Villainy for the transplanted trope.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I think we should have a crowner for the new name.
Yeah, unless it's currently a redirect, the name needs to be from a crowner. I'd like to suggest, though, the names Born Bad and Intrinsically Evil. Concerning the family lineage supertrope, isn't that already covered by It Runs in the Family? Couldn't bad examples be moved there?
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyThere are no redirects to transplant the definition to, so I made a crowner featuring the suggestions given in this thread, as well as an additional option (Born Evil):

Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.
In the Blood exhibits a case of Missing Supertrope Syndrome. Specifically, it exhibits the problem of "Generic name for a specialized trope." The Free Dictionary defines In The Blood as an idiom that means "innate", as if being passed down via genetics. The current trope definition of an evil trait being passed down is too specific, thus causing many to misuse the trope.
Examples: (for these wick checks, if the example mentions evil traits, it is considered a correct use. If there is no mention of evil traits, it is a misuse.)

I recommend performing a Trope Transplant.
