  • Bare Your Midriff: Buru and Pinku in their civillian forms also Coach Flannigan during her introduction.
  • Betty and Veronica: Poor Archie (Manuke Midori) has his hands full. Betty (Manuke Buru) is a sweet, kind childhood friend who has had a crush on him for years but this could mostly be due to a physical attraction to his appearance. Veronica (Manuke Pinku) is a cloudcuckoolander, genius ditz and a Type A Tsundere who likes to flaunt her intellectual superiority.
  • Big Bad: Gaki
  • Big Beautiful Woman: Coach Flannigan was accidentally transformed into one temporary by a magic spell gone wrong, unfortunately her belt didn't agree with her as it popped.
  • Big Good: Manuke Midori
  • Childhood Friend Romance: Sabrina has this with Harvey but it's completely one-sided (their relationship theme is Carly Rae Jepson's Call me Maybe). Harvey also has this with Kai who might return his feelings

  • Cool Crown: Gaiki wears a tiny crown similar to the one worn by Hatsune Miku in "World is Mine" except it's got a gold and indigo colour scheme
  • Cool Loser: The Manuke Rangers are the very meaning of this, two unpopular wannabe girls, a wannabe jock and the school's Alpha nerd.
  • Combat Hand Fan: Manuke Pinku (Kai-Mei Song) her weapon of choice is two steel Chinese folding fans
  • Composite Character: Dr. Robotnik is a cross between the version from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and the version from the modern day video games.

  • Did Not Get The Guy: Poor Sabrina Spellman, since the creator plans on pairing Harvey up with Pi (Kai)
  • Expy: Coach Flannagan is supposed to look like Carrie Underwood. She was also inspired as a female version of 'Jorgen Von Strangle'

  • Gender Flip: Manuke Pinku AKA Kai Mei, who is a female version of Pi.
  • Gratuitous Japanese: Gaiki means brat, Manuke means loser or goofy, Midori means green...

  • Hot for Teacher: A lot of students have a crush on Coach Flannigan...
    • Even the Girls Want Her: ...and it's not just the boys.
    • This is a solid contrast to the Coach Flanagan of Sabrina Hex D. Everyone is absolutely terrified of her and the boys crack wise about her having a masculine build.
  • Hot Teacher: Coach Flannigan
  • Five-Man Band as civilians Sabrina, Chloe, Harvey, Kai and Gem of all people form one for the talent show
  • Lady in Red: Coach Flannigan ADORES red.

  • One of the Boys: Kai-Mei is one of the Gentlemen and Coach Flannagan is one of the Jerk Jocks
  • Our Mermaids Are Different: Kai certainly doesn't sit on rocks combing her hair all day. Also her hair isn't flowing and long it's actually a Sci-Fi Bob Haircut
  • Perky Goth: Pinku, given her taste in music
  • Pink Means Feminine: Manuke Pinku. Also Coach Flannigan wears a pink hip alignment belt around her leotard. Both subvert this trope as they are both tomboys, one a sporty type (Coach Flannigan) the other the classy type (Manuke Pinku)
  • Playing with Fire: Manuke Orenji (Chloe Flan) has this as her primary mode of attack.
  • Popping Buttons: In one episode, a magic spell gone wrong temporarily turns Coach Flannigan into a fat woman, which causes her belt to pop
  • Sadist Teacher: Coach Baxter makes the football boys do extremely painful exercises and do push ups in the rain. Coach Flannagan works the cheerleaders like a feminist boot camp.
  • Sentai: The Manuke Rangers.
  • She Cleans Up Nicely: when Coach Flannigan is forced to dress up fancy she does a good job (with help) also the female rangers.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Manuke Pinku's fighting style is very similar to that of Princess Kitana.

  • Super Strength: Manuke Midori (Harvey Kinkle) has this also with Super Speed
  • Sweet Polly Oliver: Manuke Pinku while crossdressing
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Coach Flannigan and Manuke Pinku
    • The Coach Flanagan of Sabrina Hex D is a solid tomboy without a feminine bone in her body (she even wore a tux to the summer dance)
  • True Blue Femininity: Manuke Buru and also Gaiki wears a royal blue dress
  • Tsundere: Manuke Pinku can go from yelling poor Midori's head off to hugging him in meer seconds. (Their relationship theme is True Love by P!nk and Lily Allen)
  • Ultimate Universe: To Sabrina: The Animated Series, and DIC Entertainment to a lesser extent.
  • Whole Costume Reference: Minus her pink belt, Coach Flannigan's outfit resembles the same outfit worn by Lisa at the end of Weird Science where she becomes the new gym teacher. (In Sabrina Hex D she wears a red Track suit)
    • Also the female Manuke Ranger costume are based completely off the live action adaption of Negima's Baka Rangers. Midori is just a male variant.
  • Wholesome Crossdresser: a rare female example is Kai-Mei who often dresses like a boy complete with casual suit and nice hat
