Future X-Men
Bishop (Lucas Bishop)
Bishop is a mutant and the leader of Professor X's band of mutant freedom fighters in the apocalyptic future. Bishop's mutant ability allows him to absorb energy directed against him and project it from his body as concussive force. He can also utilize it to enhance his strength, increase resistance to injury, and boost his recuperative ability.
- Adaptational Nationality: Bishop is an American here as opposed to being an Aboriginal Australian like his comic book counterpart.
- The Big Guy: He's at least six feet tall.
- Composite Character: His role as a rebel leader in a Bad Future with the loyalty of Domino takes more from Cable.
- Energy Absorption: His power allows him to absorb several kinds of energy, including psychic energy, as well as redirecting it in the form of laser blasts.
- Facial Markings: As he comes from the Bad Future, he has an 'M' (for Mutant) branded on his left eye (it's apparently a genetically engineered disease "branded to his DNA", and can't be removed by anything).
- Future Badass: He is a badass mutant from an apocalyptic future.
- The Leader: He is one of the leaders of the X-Men from the apocalyptic future.
Berzerker (Ray Carter)
Ray Carter, also known as Berzerker, is a mutant who was seen in one of the camps for mutants in the apocalyptic future with Charles Xavier. He helped to escape, joined the future X-Men, and then was seen fighting alongside them again. He has the ability to generate and control pulsing bolts of electrical energy.
- Future Badass: A younger version of him shows up as a child in the present day.
- Hand Blast: He is able to generate and control pulsing bolts of electrical energy.
- Shock and Awe: He has electricity powers.
Domino (Neena Thurman)
In the apocalytic future under Master Mold's rule, Domino lived in a mutant detainment camp until Professor X's arrival, where she joined the resistance for freedom. Just like her present counterpart, she apparently has the ability to influence the laws of probability and mainly relies on her marksmanship and hand-to-hand abilities..
- Charles Atlas Superpower: Just like her present counterpart, Domino has probability altering powers, but she mainly relies on her marksmanship and hand-to-hand abilities.
- Goth: Just like present Domino, this is her fashion style.
- Improbable Aiming Skills: Just like her present counterpart.
- Irrational Hatred: She refuses to trust Professor X, seeing him as a manipulator, even when he can help undo the nightmare situation everyone's living in.
- Silver Fox: Several decades in a Bad Future, and yet she barely looks much different from her present day self. The benefits of her luck powers.
Hellion (Julian Keller)
Hellion is a member of the future X-Men team who has the incredibly strong ability of telekinesis.
- Adaptational Wimp: He's a lot less skilled than his comic self, who's one of Earth's most powerful telekinetics and an accomplished squad leader.
- Mutant: He is one that was born with telekinetic powers.
- Telekinesis: His Mutant power.
Kamal
Kamal was a prisoner of the mutant camps in the apocalyptic future. He was found by Charles Xavier and helped the two of them and other mutants escape by using his power to absorb the metals of the Sentinels.
- Adaptational Attractiveness: He is much more attractive and good looking than his comic book counterpart.
- The Big Guy: He is the muscle of the team and the tallest/largest.
- Energy Absorption: More like Matter mimicry as his mutant power allows for him to absorb metals of any type.
- Glowing Eyes: In his armoured form, his eyes flash yellow breifly when bantering with Berserker. Its unknowm why this happens.
- Made of Iron: Literally when armoured up.
- Non-Specifically Foreign: Much like his comics counterpart. He is implied to be Arab. Assuming his surname El-Alaoui is the same, he is likely from a former French colony in the Arab world.
- Super-Strength: His main attribute to the team.
- Tall, Dark, and Handsome: A 6'7" brown skinned Muscular man of Arabic descent.
Marrow (Sarah)
Sarah, also known as Marrow, is a mutant prisoner from the apocalyptic future in a sentinel detention facility where she was imprisoned, alongside Bishop, Domino, Firestar, and Hellion. Professor Xavier meets her here, and soon after she escapes with Professor X and the rest of the team. She has the mutant ability to enhance the growth of her skeletal structure. Her mutant physiology allows her to rapidly regrow the bone spurs which protrude from her body, which she uses as weapons. She utilizes this power in many ways, including the creation of knuckle guards, spears, and projectile spikes.
- Body Horror: Her mutant power is to grow bones out of her body, usually in the form of outward jutting spines or claws.
- Broken Bird: Mainly due to the fact that she lives in a Bad Future.
- The Cavalry: After selling out Mutantkind, she's filled with remorse and goes to find Polaris, about the only person who could stop the Sentinels.
- Composite Character: Marrow shares some characteristics with Tom Skylark in the comic book Bad Future Here Comes Tomorrow, mainly the fact that she befriends Rover the Sentinel.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Marrow's grown up in a dystopian future where everyone she knew and loved was killed by Sentinels. As Professor X notes, no-one should have to live like that.
- Dual Wielding: It is her default combat style.
- Face–Heel Turn: She has this for some time via selling out Professor Xavier to Master Mold.
- Jerkass: Rude, disobedient and petulant. Not exactly what you want in someone when you're in an apocalyptic future.
- Revenge Before Reason: Marrow gets so distraught over Rover's destruction that she sells Professor Xavier out to Master Mold, completely forgetting that this will mean the total extinction of all mutantkind.
- Spike Shooter: She is able to shoot the spikes that she creates.
- Too Dumb to Live: She took the loss of Rover a little too hard - and did something stupid.
- What Kind of Lame Power Is Heart, Anyway?: Her powers would be moderately useful if the X-Men were up against humans. But they're against Sentinels, so most times Marrow will toss a bone spike and it'll harmlessly doink off their metal hides.
Rover
Rover was one of the original Sentinels that was left outdated and partially destroyed. At some point, the X-Men from the apocalyptic future met Polaris who repaired and employed the Sentinel, whom they named Rover. Marrow was good friends with Rover, often helping him to destroy the more modern Sentinels, and scrapping them to perform further repairs to his badly-damaged condition. After Bishop planned to use Rover to distract five Sentinels, Marrow became enraged and ran away with Rover, however they still ended up aiding the X-Men, Rover destroyed two Sentinels, before getting a hole blasted into his chest, and a hand blown off. The Sentinel continued to fight, and killed the remaining Sentinels, however he was finally get killed himself when a pack of the smaller Wolverine-based Sentinels climbed all over Rover. His final words to Marrow were telling her to run before his demise.
- Fluffy the Terrible: Although, he's pretty nice to his True Companions and Marrow especially becomes very attached to him.
- Killer Robot: He used to be this.
- One-Word Vocabulary: Rover, a Sentinel that Polaris built out of scrap, only says the word "Destroy". Before being destroyed, he says to Marrow, "Run."
- Robot Buddy: He's this to Marrow.
- You Called Me "X"; It Must Be Serious: A variant. In his dying moments, instead of saying his usual "Destroy", he tells Marrow to "Run".
Vanisher (Telford Porter)
In the apocalyptic future, Vanisher was a prisoner in the interment camp for mutants. He then helped Charles Xavier escape and joined him and the other future X-Men afterwards. Vanisher has the mutant ability to teleport. However, he has to be able to see where he is teleporting and he creates a cloud of smoke when he teleports.
- Adaptational Heroism: Unlike his comic book counterpart, this version of Vanisher is a reliable and loyal member of the apocalypse future X-Men.
- Mutant: He is one with the ability to teleport. However, he has to be able to see where he is teleporting.
- Teleporters and Transporters: He has the mutant ability to teleport, but he has to be able to see where he is teleporting.
Future Wolverine
The version of Wolverine that is from the apocalyptic future.
- Future Badass: Not that present Wolverine isn't a badass, but future Wolverine makes this all the more clear since he's an apocalypse survivor and a Cool Old Guy.
- Mentor Archetype: He was this to Bishop.
- Perma-Stubble: Unlike present day Wolverine, the apocalyptic future Wolverine is shown with facial hair on his chin.
- Wolverine Claws: He has these, just like his present counterpart.
X-23 (Laura Kinney)
In the apocalyptic future, Wolverine found four exemplars of X-23's clones on ice in an old, abandoned Weapon X facility and he convinced them all to join him in the fight against Master Mold.
- Distaff Counterpart: Just like the original X-23 from the present, X-23's clones are female clones of Wolverine.
- One-Man Army: Only there's four of them. In the finale, they tear through a whole base full of Sentinels, off-screen.
- Opposite-Sex Clone: Just like their present counterpart, They are female clones of Wolverine.
- Wolverine Claws: They each have these.
