Galactic Treaty

    In General
The Galactic Treaty (or GT) is an alliance between various species in the galaxy created with the purpose to maintain peace.
  • Fictional United Nations: The GT is an alliance between the various species in the cosmos and their respective governments. Within the GT there isn't a real unique government, with the only real rule being to not mess with each other.

    Kymen

Kymenna/Kymen

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/28de5eb7_ba47_4360_a49a_66af942bd5bc.jpeg
An insectoid species originating from the Rosette Nebula.
  • Actual Pacifist: They refuse any form of violence.
  • Insectoid Aliens: The Kymen are 3 meters tall insect-like aliens.
  • The Spock: The Kymen overall have weaker emotions when compared to humans and prefer to rely on logic, and their ruling force—the Body—enforces them to suppress emotions as much as possible. Given how dangerous Kymen can be if they do get emotional, this isn't exactly unjustified.
  • Super-Strength: Since their equivalent of a nervous system doesn't limit their strength, the Kymen have this. However, this means that they have to consciously limit themselves to prevent damaging their own muscles.

Galactic Ranger's Protection Corp

    In General
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2a93e373_b957_40a5_849f_fcf92b886e5c.png
The Galactic Ranger's Protection Corp (GRPC) is an organization whose purpose is to preserve humanity and protect the galaxy.
  • Masquerade: Averted. Unlike the RPC Authority, the GRPC's existence and what they do are public knowledge, although obviously some of their stuff is gonna be restricted.
  • Space Police: The GRPC is effectively this, maintaining the order and peace in the galaxy.

    GRPs
Anomalies contained by the GRPC.

GRP-002 - That's All He Wrote

Various orbs principally used by the Karza that transport those that use them to an entity classified as GRP-002-A, granting a single wish upon request.
  • Affably Evil: While calling GRP-002-A "evil" might be a stretch, it's undeniable that he always demonstrates a genuinely affable personality when interacting with others, regardless of what plans he has for them. A prime example of this is when he warned Ranger Asker about the fate he was about to meet merely out of politeness.
GRP-002-A: "I just felt it was courteous of me to inform you before what might seem to you as an untimely demise."
  • Dead All Along: GRP-002-A existed only for a fraction of a second at the beginning of the universe. When people find themselves face to face with it, they're presumably being sent back in time to that brief moment where GRP-002-A existed.
  • The Omniscient: GRP-002-A seems to know all the events that will happen up to the end of the universe.

GRP-010 - Dream Aliens

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cool_monster_idea_lol.png
A species of extra-dimensional aliens known as the "Parasomnoids", able to enter the dreams of others.
  • Always Chaotic Evil: They're an entire species of evil aliens that induce nightmares.
  • Dream Walker: They can enter dreams and induce nightmares. Given enough time, they can possess people.
  • Emotion Eater: They feed off negative emotions, which is why their main prey are humans: they have complex emotions (and lack psychic defense).
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Since they're immaterial beings existing within the Infoplane, they can take any form they wish.

GRP-020 - Septeds

A species of plant-like aliens (collectively classified as GRP-020-A) able to terraform entire planets (collectively classified as GRP-020-B since some of them present anomalous properties).
  • Actual Pacifist: The Septeds are overall uninterested in conflicts, even when it involves a member of their species doing something bad.
  • Always Lawful Good: The Septeds are overall a peaceful species respectful of other life forms and they actively create life on dead planets. Of course, there are some exceptions...
  • Healing Factor: The Septeds are able to regenerate themselves and others. This also allows them to be functionally immortal.
  • Physical God: Functionally immortal aliens able to terraform entire planets and control them and their life forms as they wish.
  • Plant Aliens: The Septeds are plant-like aliens whose bodies are composed by vines and flowers.
  • Organic Technology: The Summative Seeds are semi-robotic organic devices that the Septeds use to terraform planets.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Since their bodies are made up by vines, the Septeds can take about any form (within some limits of course).

GRP-112 - The Moribund Wish

An anomalous planet that marks subjects from different species every 1000 years with the promise of making a their wish come true.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: While Jackson doesn't meet its expectations, Ohtli does and it successfully brainwashes her.
  • Karma Houdini: GRP-112 faces no punishment whatsoever for its actions and merely enters a dormant state.
  • Jackass Genie: GRP-112 lures others to itself with the promise of realizing a their wish, but its true intentions are brainwashing the subjects it deems "worthy".
  • Mechanical Abomination: GRP-112 is in truth a reality-warping artificial intelligence created by the Humanoids.
  • Robe and Wizard Hat: Its avatar is a classic and human-looking wizard.
  • Undying Loyalty: Even if the Humanoids are long gone, GRP-112 is still doing their will. Then again, since it's an AI that was created to do this, it's not like it has much of a choice.

GRP-178 - Planet Devourers

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_1671.jpeg
A species of amorphous extra-terrestrial extremophiles able to destroy entire planets.
  • Planet Destroyer: They use planets as reproduction grounds and have them explode, letting the asteroid fragments carry them.

GRP-239 - Bobo the Clown

An alien robot resembling a human clown. It can emit a sound that makes humans become violent and homicidal.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: In the main canon, Bobo/RPC-239 is a Demonic Dummy possessed by the soul of a human Serial Killer. Here, Bobo is a robot created by an alien cult in the attempt to convert humans.
  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: As revealed by GRP-239 itself, it was created by a cult to have humanity join said cult. However, it's very clear that GRP-239 is highly defective, which can be seen by the mere fact that it had various people in an ASPSnote  kill each other. It also acts in very random ways, essentially making it a case of Artificial Stupidity.
  • Better to Die than Be Killed: After accidentally revealing the name of the entity that its creators worship, GRP-239 decides that it's better to self-destroy rather than being destroyed by the cult.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: A robot that's so defective to the point of being hilarious... yet, it's also what makes it so dangerous.
  • Mind-Control Music: Well, not exactly music, but GRP-239 can use a sound to manipulate human minds. Problem is, it doesn't use in the way it was intended to.

GRP-774 - Alien Robots from Outer Space

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image0_67.jpeg
An instance of GRP-774.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image0_5.jpeg
GRP-774-A.
A species of radioactive extra-terrestrial robots. Aside from their designation, they're known as "Observers of Life" and "Penganoids".
  • Benevolent A.I.: They might be sentient alien robots who pretty much rebelled against their own creators, but they're anything but malicious.
  • Good Counterpart: To their creators. According to what GRP-774-1 says, the robots' creators were cruel and had no respect towards life, while, on the other hand, the GRP-774s find life pretty.
  • The Leader: GRP-774-1 reveals GRP-774-A to be this to the species as a whole, with the robots referring to it as "the Great Unit".
  • Mechanical Abomination: GRP-774-A is a massive, sapient, squid-like spaceship that can resist conventional weaponry, including nuclear warheads, and emits the same dangerous radiation of the GRP-774s. Fortunately, just like the robots, it's benevolent.
  • Mechanical Lifeform: They're a whole species of sapient robots.
  • Not Evil, Just Misunderstood: When they first come in contact with a Cosmic Rangers' Station, the personnel thinks the GRP-774s are attacking with radiations and so attack them, which causes the robots to do a violent counterattack. Fortunately, it's later revealed that the robots never meant to attack in the first place but were simply using radiations to communicate.
  • Perilous Power Source: The instances of GRP-774 and GRP-774-A are fission-powered, which causes them to passively emanate an anomalous radiation that can damage sensory functions.
  • Shout-Out: The GRP-774 instances are this to the robots appearing in We Happy Few's DLC They Came From Below, sharing a similar premise and their design being identical (except for the hands).
  • Turned Against Their Masters: Judging by what GRP-774-1 says, it might have been for the best.

Soshi Slave Empire

    In General
A massive alien empire controlling 40% of the entire galaxy.
  • Ascended Extra: In the baseline canon the Soshi appeared in a single article (not even physically) and we learn very little about them. In Cosmic Embers, on the other side, they are the main antagonists and we learn much more about them.
  • The Empire: The Soshi are a totalitarian force with countless slaves and a strict chain of command, with the emperor being at the top.
  • Galactic Superpower: The Soshi control 40% of the entire galaxy.

    Selohssa
The master race of the Soshi.
  • Absolute Xenophobe: Selohssa pretty much hate and see as inferior anything that doesn't belong to their species, especially humans.
  • Always Chaotic Evil: All Selohssa demonstrate a xenophobic behavior and they're unable to understand any kind of relationship that doesn't involve owning the other.
  • Lizard Folk: They resemble anthropomorphic reptiles.
  • Sdrawkcab Name: The name humans gave them is literally "assholes" but backwards. Hopefully, they will never find this out.
???: "I think we can all be thankful they never thought to read the English name we gave them backwards."

    Ectypes

Ectypes

Genetically-engineered creatures able to possess corpses of people who committed suicide via the use of occultnote . They serve the Soshi through the conspiracy cell "Red Wake".
  • Always Chaotic Evil: No Ectype has shown to possess any positive qualities.
  • Was Once a Man: The original members of the species used to be humans before being modified.

Celliut

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ee9bba6c_536d_48a6_8514_de36437249a1.jpeg
A species of bacterial aliens.
  • Horde of Alien Locusts: The Celliuts absorb any living organism they find and, as this tale proves, their only thought is eating.
  • Mega-Microbes: The Celliuts are effectively giant alien bacteria, with their sizes ranging from 5 cm to 24 km.
  • Technopath: The Celliuts are able to "infect" technological devices and use them.

Others

Brothers and Sisters of the Soil
A group of eco-terrorists formed by Septeds and the species resulting from their terraformings.
  • Eco-Terrorist: They want humans to be more in contact with nature... but their methods are all but peaceful. Not to mention, they hate those that merge their flesh with technology.
  • Token Evil Teammate: The leading members of the group are malevolent Septeds, who are otherwise known for being a peaceful and benevolent species.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Like the other Septeds, the Brothers and Sisters of the Soil can shapeshift to some degree, although they usually use a humanoid form.

Snee

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/c016dcaa_9a02_48c7_9be0_e0088bd5d703.jpeg
The founder and leader of the Brothers and Sisters of the Soil.
  • Absolute Xenophobe: Unlike most other Septeds, Snee considers most other life forms inferior, with the exception of humans and Humanoids. This is best shown with her having no problems whatsoever with causing the extinction of an entire species.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Partially. While in the GRP-020 article she does lure some humans on New Earth and keeps them trapped there, she didn't obtain as many as she wanted.
    • Completely averted in the GRP-112 article, where she's arrested by the GRPC.
  • Faux Affably Evil: She acts friendly and polite when interacting to the humans that arrived on New Earth and in the recorded message she sent prior. Of course, it's just to hide her true nature.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: While she gets away with her crimes in the GRP-020 article, she's arrested in the GRP-112 one.
  • Mother Nature: Snee herself invokes this trope by stating that she uses a female humanoid form specifically to resemble humans' concept of Mother Nature. She however is far from a benevolent example of this trope.

    Humanoids
Enigmatic aliens that inhabited the galaxy long ago before mysteriously disappearing.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: While they're long gone, their influence remains.
  • Humanoid Aliens: They are the only sapient aliens so similar to humans to have ever existed in the galaxy.
  • Reality Warper: Their machines are able to warp reality. They themselves were able to do this, although whether it was a natural ability or something deriving solely from their technology is unclear.

    The Path
Terroristic cells mostly formed by Kymen who wish to return to the old, violent Kymen culture.
  • Evil Counterpart: To the Body. While the Body wants to maintain order and peace and avoid Kymen returning to a violent era, the Path wants the exact opposite.
  • For the Evulz: The Path wants Kymen to give into their instincts and emotions, even if it means becoming extremely dangerous and violent.

Ohtli ███ Yaotl Xiuhcoatl █████ ████ ████████ ██████

A young Kymen who serves as the current leader of the Path.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: While Ohtli might have been more emotional and prone to violence compared to most other Kymen, she was all but malicious. After GRP-122 brainwashed her, she became the fanatic leader of an organization that does nothing but enticing violence.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Pulls this after getting brainwashed by GRP-112.
  • No Full Name Given: Only part of her really long name is revealed, with the rest being redacted.
