- Kid Hero: She's 13 in the original manga and 16 in Extend. Averted in Resurrection, where she's 18.
- Otaku: She absolutely loves plastic models of robots.
- Red Baron: Her accomplishments in the original manga have led the resistance to dub her as the "Black-haired Valkyrie."

The protagonist of the Jinki: Extend manga and main heroine of the Re:Vision visual novel.
- Amnesiac Hero: She doesn't remember anything from before 3 years ago, making her unaware of the original manga's events.
- Contrasting Sequel Main Character: While Aoba had black hair and was quite excitable, Akao has light brown hair and is portrayed as being on the shy side.
- Demoted to Extra: Due to the anime combining the stories of the two source manga together, Akao plays a more supporting role in favor of keeping the focus on original Jinki protagonist Aoba.
