Go To

Due to the Zero Goddesses' natures as a Tomato in the Mirror and a Walking Spoiler, this page will be spoiler unmarked. You Have Been Warned.

A group of fifteen Goddesses from ZeroTopia, who are working with the All Worlds Alliance. It turns out that their history is a complicated one, and it becomes the source of problems when most of them turned out that they are reincarnated and later inhabiting the various vessels of heroes in AWA.

WARNING: Each of these characters are all Walking Spoilers.

    The Zero Goddesses in General
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: A few of these Goddesses represent the personalities of their host, and in fact their personalities are virtually carbon copies of them:
    • Adamant: Gentle, well-meaning and polite. Which are Lincoln Loud's traits.
    • Callous: Perfectionist and obsession. Which are Elza Forte's traits.
    • Discord: Niceness and friendliness, and sheds her discordance and anger during her Character Development. The former two are Maricar Funabori's traits.
    • Harmony: Prideful, rude and competitive. Which are Chizuru Tachibana's traits.
    • Hope: Calm and caring. Which are Airi Arcadia's traits.
    • Radiant: Mischievous and easily bored. Which are Eddy Skipper McGee's traits.
  • Ascended to a Higher Plane of Existence: At least the original Zero Goddesses, whose physical bodies no longer existed after their deaths. Instead after their resurrection, they inhabit their own hosts. The new generation Zero Goddesses, on the other hand, have a physical form.
  • Divine Conflict: Both Harmony and Discord were at war with each other since day one, which started from a series of baseless conflicts into a full-blown murderous rivalry between the two, which definitely imperiled balance, putting ZeroTopia and even the entire multiverse into a state of chaos. Eventually, the rest of the Goddesses not part of their rivalry had to kill both of them, but at the same time heroically sacrificing themselves in the process.
  • Four-Temperament Ensemble:
    • Choleric: Harmony, who is impulsive, aggressive and competitive.
    • Sanguine: Amour, who is sociable and talkative.
    • Phlegmatic: Discord, who is level-headed and prefers to stay out of conflict, ironically.
    • Melacholic: Hope, who is quiet and reserved.
  • Heroic Host: Inverted. Few of the Zero Goddesses possess their respective hosts after their resurrection, which in return immediately gave them divine powers.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: The rest of the original Zero Goddesses sacrificed themselves after killing Harmony and Discord in the past in order to prevent the imbalance between worlds as a result of their petty rivalry. Also Averted however, when it is revealed that they were revived a millennia later due to Harmony and Discord putting a curse that would revive them one day, so they could continue their rivalry again.
  • Irony:
    • Amour, who is the representation of love and kindness, is a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing who is a sadistic troublemaker on the inside.
    • Harmony bears many traits that are the opposite to her name: prideful, arrogant jerkass who is rude.
    • Discord, who represents chaos, is a nice and friendly person. It is justified, however, since she's actually letting go of her anger and become friends with her host Funabori.
  • Jerkass Gods: Harmony, Amour and Radiant. Harmony, who is an ironic case due to her name, is very rude and prideful and has a bitter rivalry towards Discord. Radiant is a mischievous prankster who likes pranks. Amour is a troublemaker whose friendliness and kindness is just a front for her sadistic personality.
  • Living MacGuffin: Their hosts, especially. The Apostles have known about the Goddesses' existence as reincarnates thanks to Chikage awakening Discord through Funabori and the AWA are on a mission to find the remaining Zero Goddess hosts before the Apostles would use them to weaponize it.
  • Resolved Noodle Incident: While most of the Goddesses were killed a thousand years ago and later resurrected into their respective hosts, nobody knows the full story. It later turned out that both Harmony and Discord were responsible for almost causing a multiversal imbalance a millennia ago due to their petty rivalry, leaving the rest of the Goddesses to kill them at the cost of their lives.
  • Sealed Good in a Can: Also doubled with Reincarnation for some of them, since most of the Goddesses were dead in the distant past before they were resurrected. The exceptions are Justice and Amour, where they are not bound to a specific host since they are Physical Gods.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: It turns out that many of the reincarnated Zero Goddesses inhabit various bodies of specific AWA heroes and these heroes are in fact their reincarations. It is a fact that is known to them, but unknown to the heroes until the Internal Reveal.
  • Walking Spoiler: Most of these goddesses' existence are a spoiler, when it comes to mentioning their hosts. It's a significant Tomato in the Mirror moment when it turns out that their hosts don't realise that they are the reincarnations of these goddesses, as affirmed by Evangeline that Chizuru is the reincarnation of Harmony.
  • Was Once a Man: The original thirteen Zero Goddesses were once Goddesses with a physical body. And while they're resurrected within their hosts, they are within them and often inhabit their bodies.

    Adamant
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/adamant_render.png
One of the Zero Goddesses who is an elf, she inhabits the body of Lincoln Loud after her reincarnation.
  • Innocently Insensitive: For her niceness, she is often insensitive at times and has a habit of backing out from every promise she makes. The result is her getting others into trouble by proxy.
  • Mirror Character: Essentially the mirrored version of Lincoln, due to her having his personalities.
  • Nice Girl: Gentle and friendly, who is sweet-natured.
  • Reincarnation: After her death a millennia later, she is revealed to be revived inside Lincoln's body as her host.
  • Token Non-Human: She's the only Zero Goddess who is elven-looking.

    Amour
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/amour_render.png
One of the new generation Zero Goddesses alongside Justice. Contrary to her name, she is anything but, noted for her being a troublemaker with a sadistic streak.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Kind and friendly on the outside, but on the inside she is the opposite: a bored sadist who troubles others for her amusement.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Amour has a pink hair and pink eyes.
  • Cut Lex Luthor a Check: Her spell, while useful in giving someone the ability to find their potential romantic interest, is instead used for completely opposite means, as means to piss someone off.
  • Ironic Name: A person named after "love" in French turns out to be a sadistic sex maniac obsessing over polygamous relationships and gets easily bored over monogamy. And she even subjected Chizuru and Yoshika into her spell in her first appearance.
  • Polyamory: Seems to be her thing when it comes to romances, which eventually devolved into a Motive Rant of wanting "several dudes" around the world to do polygamy. Lampshaded by herself in front of Chizuru and Yoshika.
Amour: Nothing much, I'm just bored. I had nothing against monogamous relationships but it has been soooooo overdone for millenniums that I'm sick of it! That's why I decided to change things a little and decided to have several dudes in this world to enter a polygamous relationship and you're one of them!
  • Psycho Pink: Downplayed. She's a pink-themed Goddess but is with the good guys. The only reason she is within this trope is because of her nature as a sadistic trickster.
  • Sadistic Choice: When she implanted Chizuru with the love curse spell, it is revealed that Chizuru has to find a whopping total of 100 girlfriends that he has to mate with, which also doubles as an ultimatum from her: should he ignore them, then these girls would die from natural causes.
  • Thinks Like a Romance Novel: Deconstructed. While she's not against monogamous relationships in the slightest, her expectations for a relationship is skewed at its best. Also deconstructed, since she tries to give Chizuru completely high expectations of what relationships should be, even though it is clear as mud that Chizuru is in a monogamous relationship with Yoshika.

    Callous
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/callous_render.png
One of the Zero Goddesses, who inhabits Elza Forte's body as her host.
  • Ambiguously Gay: How Oohori describes Callous' relation towards Harmony, which is unknown if she is into other girls, considering that her relationship towards the other Zero Goddess is mostly on unhealthy, obsessive terms. Lampshaded during AWA Stories Chapter 55, Let's All Talk About Chizuru's Harem!, where Oohori heavily implies and speculates that if both Elza and Chizuru are in a romantic relationship, then there would be a possibility of Callous herself and Harmony being a couple.
  • Mirror Character: Her personality is exactly like her host Elza.
  • The Perfectionist: She strives to be absolutely perfect in her goals, no matter what.
  • Punny Name: Callous is, as anyone's guess, a callous perfectionist who will do anything to achieve her goal, despite it being uncharacteristically stupid and outright dangerous. She's clearly an exact mirror to her host Elza Forte, who is a perfectionist who does everything to achieve her goal of obtaining the Sun Premium Dress, despite the obviously risky actions she does in her own pursuit and plundering other idols for her goals.

    Discord
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/discord_render.png
One of the Zero Goddesses who is (in)famous for her bitter rivalry towards Harmony. She inhabits Maricar Funabori's body as her host and is the first Zero Goddess to canonically appear in this fic during AWA Stories' Chapter 39 The Funabori Chase.

Not related to Discord from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, despite bearing the same name.
  • Arch-Enemy: Towards her rival Harmony, since she was subjected to being mocked by her in the past. And their rivalry even continued in the present. There's also the fact that Harmony, despite a long time has passed, is still bent on murdering her, thus making their rivalry reminiscent to a Cain and Abel scenario.
  • Bait-and-Switch: Initially sets up to be part of the Big Bad Ensemble with Chikage and Cinch in AWA Missions - Friendship Games, but it turns out that she's actually not evil at all, but misguided. It gets enforced much later when she goes into a Heel Realization at the end of the story, where she joins the AWA to find the remaining Goddesses.
  • Character Development: She started off as a vengeful misanthrope, bent on causing destruction by using Funabori as an engine for her chaos. But once she encounters Chizuru as well as the rest of AWA during AWA Missions - Friendship Games, she slowly mellows down and becomes less vengeful, becoming on friendly terms towards Funabori.
  • Evil Versus Evil: When she was unsealed by Chikage after he removed Funabori's necklace, Discord, possessing Funabori, was not happy about him.
  • Ironic Name: She's named Discord, but she's a nice and friendly person who is conflict-averse. Turns out it gets a case of a Justified Trope since he's actively letting go of her anger so she can be a friendly Goddess especially towards her host Funabori.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She wears a skimpy black-and-white bikini as her main outfit that exposes both her chest up to her navel.

    Harmony
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/harmony_render.png
One of the Zero Goddesses, who has a bitter hatred towards Discord. She inhabits Chizuru Tachibana's body.
  • Ambiguously Gay: How Oohori describes Harmony's relation towards Callous, which is unknown if she is into other girls, since Callous' relationship with her is on rather obsessive terms. Lampshaded during AWA Stories Chapter 55, Let's All Talk About Chizuru's Harem!, where Oohori heavily implies and speculates that if both Elza and Chizuru are in a romantic relationship, then there would be a possibility of Callous herself and Harmony being a couple.
  • Arch-Enemy: Towards Discord to some extreme, since she's obsessively competitive over her on who is the strongest of the two. And it still persists in the present when Harmony still wants to kill her.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: For her name about harmony, she is actually a jerk on the outside who prefers chaos, especially towards Discord.
  • Competition Freak: In spades. Harmony is very, very competitive towards Discord, of whom is the stronger of the two. In fact her actions was what led to the entire pantheon of Zero Goddesses actually killing them, contributing to their Heroic Sacrifice, since their rivalry nearly caused a collapse between balance and chaos.
  • Ironic Name: The very person named "Harmony" is a rude, competitive Jerkass who is a troublemaker.
  • Jerkass: The most jerkish and the rudest of all Zero Goddesses, she is clearly antagonistic towards her nemesis Discord and to another extent her fellow goddesses, as well. She also skirts the line into being a Jerkass God, as well.
  • Light Is Not Good: She has blonde hair to match and is a Jerkass God.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She wears a blue sleeveless leotard where her cleavage is visible.
  • Smug Super: She likes to flaunt her powers with haughtiness.
  • With Friends Like These...: She's supposedly a friend to the rest of her fellow Goddesses, but given her history of butting heads with Discord, it's less likely.

    Hope
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hope_render_01.png
One of the Zero Goddesses who inhabits Airi Arcadia's body.

    Justice
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/justice_render.png

  • Super-Empowering: She empowers other heroes by giving them an Enhancement Bracelet.

    Radiant
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/radiant_render.png
One of the Zero Goddesses who inhabits Eddy Skipper McGee's body.
  • Back from the Dead: She can revive others with the touch of her hand.
  • Green Thumb: One of her powers allow her to manipulate nature at her own will.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Mischievous as she is, Radiant does have reedeming traits that shines. A triumphant example of this is when she helped Rolf and Lynette revive their dried vegetables and fruits, something her host, Eddy, refuse to do.
  • Jerkass Gods: A mischievous prankster who likes to annoy others for her own amusement.
  • Mirror Character: To Eddy, since they both have the same personality and nature as The Prankster.
  • The Prankster: Her signature trait. She likes to play pranks towards others until she gets bored. However, she has her own limits when she goes too far.
