The original version only identified the most likely counterpart, but the update, drawing upon the Multiverse's countless iterations, now isolates who are the most probable counterparts based on distinct variances in the counterpart, the most likely probabilities being displayed via percentages. Kratos vs. Spawn
In-Universe, due to the intervention of Zayden in making Izuku counterparts with both Kratos and Spawn, it was ambiguous which, if any, of the counterparts in the said fight were their actual counterparts, or if they were changed via chain reaction to Zayden's interference. Zayden himself would clarify in the author's note for "Interlude 3: Secrets" that the counterparts stated are legitimate counterparts, they just aren't the only possible counterparts, citing that Kratos is just as likely to be Bakugo's Counterpart as he is Izuku's.- God of War:
