Pantheon / Mon Partnerships

Go To

There exists specific sorts of creatures that are not only capable of fending for themselves and possess a special affinity, but have enough thought to consider working with and forming a sort of partnership with someone. These are known as Mons and they are very commonplace in the many universes in which they are championed. While usually used to do battle against others' Mons, they aren't exclusive to other sorts of menial and fantastical jobs and activities, such as being used as beasts of travel, performing on contests and shows, being messengers, caretaking and many more.

Due to the nature of the Pantheon being a magnet for the numerous multiverses being bought together, mons have established a large presence and are one of the more popular and well-regarded creatures that one would consider. As a result, many of the ascended Mons are not adverse in considering having a partner to look after and fight for.

Pokémon Partnerships

A list of ascended Pokémon who are partnered with other deities. It is arranged in the National Dex order. This place also contains stories on how they came together as partners and a reason why the characters were connected.

    Kanto
Venusaur | Yuuka Kazami

Connection: One fine day, Venusaur stumbled upon a field of exotic flowers managed by Yuuka Kazami. Recognizing the Pokémon as a fellow flower-lover, Yuuka left Venusaur alone. Day after day, Venusaur kept coming to the flower garden, and as time went on, Yuuka and Venusaur became friends.

On one occasion, as both of them strolled through the field together, they uncovered a small marble coupled with a large transparent rock, both with a double helix-like symbol in the middle. Venusaur seemed very interested in the large rock and offered Yuuka the marble. Yuuka took it, and suddenly a connection that felt like lightning formed between them, and Venusaur transformed into Mega Venusaur, confirming their partnership and further deepening their bond.

Charizard | Red

Connection: Charizard used to be Harry Potter's partner, but eventually they went their separate ways. Red encountered the three ascended Kanto starters, and challenged them to a triple battle with his non-ascended Kanto starters. Venusaur and Blastoise both had partners to help them mega evolve... but Charizard didn't, so he was the first to faint. Red took pity on him, so after the battle, he visited the Kanto starters in their temple and presented two mega stones to Charizard: a Charizardite X and Y. Charizard reacted to both (though not at the same time, of course), confirming his partnership with Red. Red's non-ascended Charizard is jealous.

Blastoise | Maisie Farange

Connection: Turtles and Tortoise are some of Maisie's favourite animals and recalls a time when she had a little one as a pet, but lost it due to issues regarding her parental neglect from her mother and a custody issue between her and Maisie's new guardians. During her days in the Pantheon, Maisie took a trip to a nearby lake with Margo and Lincoln where she would encounter a giant tortoise with dual cannons, the Pokémon known as Blastoise. Initially scared, Maisie clung to her foster parents when a Lagiacrus suddenly attacked the family and the Pokémon in an attempt to usurp it's lake. The Blastoise took it upon himself to defend Maisie, Margo and Lincoln against the Lagiacrus and simultaneous developed an attachment to them, fiercely fighting the Leviathan and drove it away. Immediately, it checked to see if Maisie and her foster parents were alright. The little girl then came to hug the Pokémon tightly with Blastoise reciprocating with a gentle growl and a stroke on her hair. He came to earn Margo and Lincoln's approval as Maisie imprinted on the Pokémon. She doesn't see Blastoise as a pet so much as it's a big brother to her, which he appreciated. Blastoise and Maisie usually try to hang out and have fun with one another, though the Pokémon becomes very territorial if she's threatened. Regardless, she's willing to try taking him around the Pantheon as Blastoise is someone she can play with and depend on for protection.

Pikachu | Ash Ketchum

Connection: Being Ash's very first Pokémon, him and Pikachu have an inseparable relationship with each other, with the Mouse Pokémon being his longest-lasting companion. Their friendship is such that they would sacrifice themselves to save the other and no matter what tribulations they go through Ash and Pikachu will always count on each other.

Detective Pikachu | Basil and Dawson

Connection: Pikachu found out late that several ascended Pokémon had a partner except him, so he decided to look into potential candidates. While he was considering asking Sherlock to be his partner, he ended up noticing that he wasn't the only rodent detective, and thus met Basil and Dawson, both being remarkably similar to Holmes and Watson. Both ended up accepting Pikachu's offer and while they are a bit taken aback by having a fellow rodent bigger than them, at least this Pikachu is on the side of good. On the other hand, this ended up putting Pikachu on Ratigan's radar, who scoffed at the idea of another mouse detective in the pantheon.

Jigglypuff | Nonon Jakuzure

Connection: Despite her adorable looks, Jigglypuff was... not exactly popular due to how her singing caused immediate drowsiness towards those who heard her, prompting the Pokémon to grow angry and draw embarrassing scribbles on their face. That said, an admirer of her voice was possible, which came in the form of Nonon Jakuzure, who found it cute. Appreciating the gesture, Jigglypuff immediately approached and handed her a mic for Nonon to sing. The Pokémon found the human's voice to be appealing as well and decided to stick out with her for the time being, hoping that Nonon can somehow train Jigglypuff to not cause people to fall asleep upon singing the first lyric. Nonon is willing to help her new partner out, that is, if she doesn't fall asleep herself...

Zubat and Golbat | Valvatorez

Connection: A flock of Zubats and Golbats made their way to Valvatorez's domain upon his ascension into the Pantheon, the Bat Pokémons looking for a place to roost and rest under. Valvatorez noticed and, upon seeing that they weren't malicious, decided to let the flock stay, thinking it would be nice for them to share a home with him. The Zubats and Golbats were grateful of Valvatorez's hospitality and accompany him for most of his travels. In turn, Valvatorez sees them as honorary guests of his residence and is willing to look after and fight with them.

Parasect | Joel (The Last Of Us)

Connection: Parasect's fungal infection is essentially the cordyceps fungus, though toned down for children. Joel has had experience with a zombie outbreak caused by a mutation of the cordyceps virus affecting humans. Joel is basically Parasect's handler and caretaker, and he wants to keep the bug safe and one day free it of the mushroom's control.

Meowth | Bastet

Connection: Bastet is a goddess with many occupations. She represents the arts, fertility, music, children and, among other things, cats. So it made sense for her to be neighbours with the Pantheon's felines — more specifically, those in the Hall of Felines — upon ascending. One particular cat — the Scratch Cat Pokémon, Meowth — caught her attention. Bastet became rather intrigued by the small cat, even if Meowth, in general, looked quite average compared to the other denizens of the Hall. It turned out that the Kantonian Meowth was actually an incredibly lucky cat compared to the others, often being able to spot shiny stuff and get away with collecting — and even stealing — it. It also turned out to have two regional variants; a regal yet vain Alolan form, and a barbaric Galarian form. As a result, Bastet decided to approach the three Pokémon personally and start tending to their needs. She quickly became partners afterwards with the three Meowths, all eager to tag along with Bastet wherever she goes. They just need to make sure they don't cause too much of a ruckus with a cat's usual obsession over shiny things.

Alakazam | Shigeo Kageyama

Connection: Through its implausibly high 5000 IQ, the Psi Pokémon wanted to calculate which psychic or telepath in the Trope Pantheon is best suited to be his partner. He quickly learned about Shigeo Kageyama, aka "Mob", who has psychic powers tied to his emotions. Having a more stoic demeanor Alakazam was both intrigued by this different type of psychic power, and concerned that without proper guidance Shigeo may lose control. As such Alakazam wants to help him grow and enhance his power, and in turn Shigeo can further Alakazam's own power.

Machamp | Chuck Norris

Connection: Machamp is a bodybuilder Pokémon that prides itself on personal strength. When it came to picking out a training partner there were plenty of famous martial artists and strong men he could work under. What made him interested in Chuck Norris is his legendary roundhouse kicks. Machamp is primarily about upper body strength and punches, so with kicks he's somewhat lacking. Chuck Norris has a legendary tough guy reputation, and has promised to make sure Machamp never skips leg day so his kicks will be just as strong as his punches.

Cloyster | Greed the Avaricious

Connection: Cloyster did not enter the pantheon as she was. Rather, she started as a Shellder that Greed fished up while looking for clams with pearls. He had the luck of finding one with the Big Pearl; a 5% chance. Greed became interested in Shellder's evolution for her defensive powers, and after training her evolved her with a Water Stone. He then requested that Cloyster could become his partner, as their defensive abilities and other powers would compliment each other. The pantheon eventually agreed if Cloyster was put under the trope of Clam Trap.

Gengar | Spooky

Connection: Due to their spectral nature, it was inevitable for Gengar to bump into other ghosts within the pantheon. When it came to theorizing about the matter, many hoped that a good friend would help Gengar adjust and be less prone to cause mischief. Needless to say, their hopes were quickly quashed after Gengar wandered into a strange mansion one day, hoping to transform it into a cool, quiet place to rest between acts of tomfoolery. Sneaking past the strange creatures who also called the manor home, his violation of the homestead's structure caught the attention of its owner. Confronting them personally over the matter, she was surprised to see the culprit wasn't some crafty escape artist or some brutish adventurer who broke down the walls, but a fellow spirit. Introducing herself to the grinning ghoul before her, Spooky managed to easily befriend Gengar through their shared love of ruining people's day through their mayhem. Since then, Gengar has become a regular guest of Spooky's manor, with them being granted the honor of being the secondary Specimen 9. As for Gengar, while didn't hold any major value of the strange girl's kinship, what really caught his eye was that of Spooky's master plan: unleashing an army of phantoms upon the pantheon to show their dominance. The idea of a world where he is free to devour armies of souls and pull tricks on the helpless masses was indistinguishable from paradise to Gengar, making the phantom do whatever he can to ensure it.

Hypno | Jervis Tetch/Mad Hatter

Connection: Unlike a sizeable chunk of partnerships within in the pantheon, the partnership between Hypno and the Mad Hatter was established not via friendly relations, but via pure convenience. Having become infamous throughout the pantheon because of his tendency to hypnotize blonde girls so that he can force them to become his "Alice", Jervis Tetch, better known as the Mad Hatter, was having difficulties acquiring new "Alices" as a result of his newfound notoriety. Whilst he was wandering around House of Nature trying to think of possible solutions, Jervis inadvertently stumbled across Hypno while they were brainwashing an undisclosed female deity in the middle of one of the House's many forests. Jervis immediately fought with Hypno with the intention of claiming the deity as his own, which had caused the deity to break free of her mind control, allowing her to escape. Realizing what he could accomplish with Hypno by his side, Jervis interrupted his fight with Hypno to propose that they join forces so that they would have an easier time in hypnotizing whatever brainwashing any deities that they encounter, which would theoretically allow Jervis to have as many "Alices" as he wanted to play with and give Hypno all the dreams that he could possibly eat. Although Hypno was still apprehensive about the criminal, he ultimately agreed to Jervis' deal and subsequently became his partner for the time being.

Lickitung | Gordon Ramsay

Connection: The ascended Lickitung in the Pantheon decided to become a food critic if it meant attending the House of Food as frequently as it can. Obviously enough, he found interest in Gordon Ramsay due to his reputation and is a major representative of said House. This led to the two of them meeting up during a setup for one of Ramsay's cooking competitions where the chef was impressed by Lickitung's interest in food and it's natural ability to determine how to distinguish between a good and bad meal. So much so that the Pokémon ended up becoming the mascot for Ramsay's future projects. Though Ramsay's anger does scare the Lickitung somewhat, he's still willing to look after and care for it.

Rhydon | Giovanni

Connection: Rhydon is one of Giovanni's signature Pokémon and evidently enough, it's also one of his most reliable and strongest. In turn, Rhydon has a lot of camaraderie for his trainer, given that even after going through a series of losses, Giovanni is willing to have him around. As a result, the two of them are pretty good friends with one another, with Rhydon being more than willing to serve or protect Giovanni when need be.

Chansey | Nurse Joy

Connection: Chansey is already the main Pokémon species that Nurse Joys use in the field of medicine. Because they are a naturally empathetic species with the ability to heal people through Softboiled and their egg, it made perfect sense for the Chansey in the pantheon to join up with the ascended Nurse Joy and work to give all Pokemon the care they need when injured and exhausted.

Scyther | Ruby Rose

Connection: The two of them are Speedy scythe specialists. Despite his dislike for red(unless you're his evolution Scizor) he considers her an exception with her proven skill using the Crescent Rose. The two of them met up when Ruby heard about Scyther's ascension and decided to see how the Pokémon met up with its reputation. She ended up being more than impressed and Scyther himself was surprised to see someone who really appreciated him, even if she was wearing red. Their partnership was formed when Ruby and Scyther went on a few trips together with both of them fighting alongside one another and keep each other in check. In time, Scyther also came to be accepted as an honorary member of Team RWBY, much to Ruby's delight.

Magikarp | Axel (Disgaea)

Connection: Axel came into contact with Magikarp after it has shortly separated from Lysandre. The sight of the Pokémon felt pitiful and Axel recalled once learning about how Magikarp was often derided and seen as a joke by many. This also made Axel uncomfortable as he recalls that he is often seen as the butt of jokes by his peers and was unsurprised, but still despondent to see Magikarp see itself in a very sombre way. To cheer him up, Axel decided to the Pokémon to his place and raise it. He's making an effort to have it swim more effectively and additionally when the time comes, Axel may have his own Gyarados. Though it will take a lot of training and dedication.

Red Gyarados | Kazuma Kiryu

Connection: While its reputation deserves its infamy, Gyarados is also a mythical inspiration of sorts; namely taking the basis from the story of the carp, with Magikarp representing its desires to climb the waterfall and fly from the top of it and Gyarados representing the end and very accomplishment of its greatest dream. As a result, Kiryu was keen on learning how a particular red Gyarados was roaming the Pantheonic oceans and met with the Pokémon on one particular day when he decided to take a trip at a beach. Despite an initially hostile stare competition, Kiryu's steely demeanour was enough to make the Red Gyarados stand down. Furthermore, Kiryu then told him that he has no ill will and that he can respect the struggles and tough life it must have endured as a Magikarp (while also relating to himself regarding Kiryu's early life and how he built up his reputation as the Dragon of Dojima and the aforementioned carp story). The Red Gyarados learned of how relatable he was to Kiryu and bowed in respect, willing to serve and protect Kiryu. The Dragon of Dojima became the first person, in a long time, to pet the Red Gyarados and earn its respect.

Ditto | Garfield Logan / Beast Boy

Connection: One day, Beast Boy was wandering through the House of Gaming, looking for a specific arcade game, and found a confrontation going on; someone was bullying a small, pink blob of some kind. This was Ditto, and Garfield could see it needed help. When he confronted the bully, the latter didn't take kindly to it, and it turned out they could put up a fight! Fortunately, the Ditto showed off what it was best known for; it transformed into a pink, beady-eyed blob version of Beast Boy. Though unnerved by this, BB quickly saw that Ditto was able to fight in this form — as well as other forms that Beast Boy also had. The Ditto was encouraged by the green changeling standing up for it. The two managed to drive off the bully, and that was the start of their partnership.

Eevee | Flint Lockwood

Connection: Of all the Eeveelutions that found themselves in the Pantheon, the progenitor of it all found the most difficulty in finding herself a partner. Not that it made her sad, only more determined to find company beyond her bigger, more powerful company. That's when she came across Flint Lockwood, who was in the middle of coming up with a science project ala a device to translate animal sounds to better communicate with them. The moment Eevee revealed herself, Flint was caught by surprise but didn't hesitate to use his work to see if it worked. It didn't but it amused the Pokémon to the point where it leapt onto Flint's table with a smile. Flint ordered her not to mess around the place, which she complied by leaping down to the floor and sitting down. Realizing how intelligent of a creature she was, Flint was impressed and asked if Eevee would like to hang out for a bit, which she agreed on. His pet monkey Steve was open to seeing a new companion be bought along and Eevee would often look around Flint's works and play along with him. In time, Flint started to grow close to the Pokémon and accepted her as his partner. Even with the surprise that she can evolve into several different variations, Flint chose to keep Eevee the way it was. She respected that decision, knowing that her fellow Eeveelutions will always be there to protect her and her friends.

Vaporeon | Ami Mizuno / Sailor Mercury

Connection: When the Eeveelutions ascended, one of the first instincts each of them did was to separate and find an ideal partner for itself. In Vaporeon's case, she ended up stumbling upon the House of Magic where she came across Ami Mizuno, a magical practitioner of Water. Feeling that it may have found the partner it wanted, Vaporeon showed off its water-based abilities, which caught Ami's attention and was pleased to see a cute creature try to find someone that it could see as a fellow friend and partner. That's when Ami decided to take Vaporeon into her company, much to the Pokémon's happiness. She'll often attend the House of Magic for Ai's company, though she's also beginning to like the Sailor Guardians as well and at some points, has come to Ami's protection and aid during some of her Pantheonic journeys.

Jolteon | Static

Connection: Like the rest of her fellow Eeveelutions, Jolteon marched her way to the Hall of Electricity, knowing that this would be the best place to find a deity with an affinity to electricity. Virgil Hawkins was the first deity that she laid eyes on. While she did witness other beings in the same Hall, maybe possessing more incredible power, Virgil was the one she had the most interest in, if mainly because he showed a lot of youthful enthusiasm in using his powers. As a result, she went to approach him, with Virgil interested in the Pokémon's appearance and interest towards him. Guessing that she might be a user of electricity as well, Virgil asked if he can see what she was capable of, which Jolteon reciprocated with some pride. He was impressed that Jolteon was a feisty and determined creature and was happy to have her as a partner. They soon tagged along in going around places doing some electric stunts, but have reprimanded that it is best that they use their powers for good first and foremost. After all, Virgil is the superhero, Static.

Flareon | The Panda King

Connection: Flareon loved fireworks. She loved the colourful lights and explosions, and she loved the way they made her feel. Flareon also loved when new gods ascended because there was always a fireworks display at the end. Every time she went, she got to watch the greatest fireworks she had ever seen. Flareon was determined to meet the one who crafted the fireworks and was soon led to the Panda King. The stoic panda refused to have Flareon around his temple, worried she could accidentally set off the volatile ingredients he used. Flareon, however, wouldn't quit and tried to catch his attention. Panda King took note of her spirit and dedication, and her admiration for his craft, and decided to let her stay in the end. Flareon was very happy. Soon, he became her partner, and he started to train her in the art of Flame Fu which she relished at it made great exercise. Thanks to his training, Flareon's already powerful Attack stat has reached levels that rival Greater Gods, and she can stand toe to toe with Legendaries with the power of her Flare Blitz alone.

Porygon | Neo

Connection: Porygon is a virtual entity capable of traveling and existing inside and out of cyberspace. Neo and the crew of the Nebuchadnezzar immediately saw that potential, and to a point emphasized with one of the more introverted Pokemon. Because of its power Porygon is able to travel from the real world to the Matrix and back without issue, which makes it incredibly useful for their cause.

Omastar | Zaheer

Connection: One day, when Zaheer was a mortal, he was meditating in his prison cell when he found an odd, spiral-shaped shell. It spoke to him, claiming that it was an ally of Vaatu's; in case Vaatu's plan to destroy the Avatar went awry, the shell (who called itself Omastar) would help guide the Red Lotus to world domination. But shortly after it arrived, it disappeared.

After both Vaatu's and Zaheer's plans failed, the shell appeared again, but this time in a fully realized form, made out of specific qualities of his fallen comrades: a shell made of earth, tentacles and a body made out of water, and the ability to shoot out lasers. Omastar told Zaheer to wait until the right time to call him for assistance. Now these brothers in anarchy have formed a partnership that can only be broken by the will of the Mob.

Kabutops | Eliphas

Connection: On one particular day, Eliphas, under a working schedule from the Grand United Alliance of Law stumbled across a mysterious creature trotting around the beaches. When they made eye contact, the creature, revealed to be a Kabutops took a keen interest before lunging towards Eliphas as a means of seeing if it was worthy of being a partner. To its delightful surprise, Eliphas fought back and proved himself the superior challenger, to which the Pokémon decided that it would stick around as Eliphas's fighting and supporting partner. He was curious as to why Kabutops wanted to seek him out, but decided to try bonding with the prehistoric Pokémon. Together, they will see to finding a way in reforming the GUAL in a more virtuous direction.

Aerodactyl | Jack Tenrec

Connection: Jack is a frequent visitor of the Hall of Prehistoric Beasts and is always on the lookout for the dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals around it to protect them, alongside Hannah and Cutter, who were just as eager to to work with Jack, in spite of Jack and Hannah's differing opinions of Nature and Science. The ascended Aerodactyl was something they were determined to look after, in spite of the Fossil Pokémon's territorial nature. Their meeting came to be when during a lookout session, Jack noticed a pair of tyrannosaurs, namely Sharptooth and One Eye suddenly intrude Aerodactyl's territory. The duo began to roar at the Pokémon, who decided to fight back ferociously. Aerodactyl did put up a good fight, but Sharptooth and One Eye kept being resilient to the point where the Fossil Pokémon began to tire out. Knowing just how vile the tyrannosaurs were, especially One Eye, Jack stepped in and offered a distraction, followed by Hannah and Cutter. One Eye turned his focus on what he perceived as new prey and began attacking them, but this opportunity allowed for Aerodactyl to spring up and counterattack Sharptooth, knocking him out. He then took to suddenly ambushing One Eye, who was too caught up attacking Jack, Hannah and Cutter. Eventually, Aerodactyl proved himself the superior beast and drove Sharptooth and One Eye off with an asserting bark. Jack took a quick glance, though he was noticed upon. Instead of acting irate, Aerodactyl growled softly and offered a slight nuzzle on Jack. It seemed to have won it's approval for trying to help him out. He reciprocated by tending it's wounds whereupon the Fossil Pokémon felt appreciated by Jack's helpful nature and decided that it would defend him from any threats that he would face, which also extended towards Hannah and Cutter. Wherever Jack goes, Aerodactyl will surely be there to look after him if need be.

Snorlax | Princess Syalis

Connection: When Princess Syalis encountered Snorlax, she was filled with joy, having found a new place to snooze (though she prefers snoozing on Totoro's belly due to Snorlax being much less fluffy, slightly less willing to let people sleep on him, and also because Snorlax had much more of a tendency to stir and roll over in his sleep, even having crushed and killed her by accident in doing so). Snorlax was the partner of Mako Reizei of the Anglerfish Team at the time, but after witnessing the Sleeping Pokémon's interaction with Syalis, they deemed the latter a better partner to him, so they have decided to allow the Princess to partner up with him. She was very disappointed because it wasn't Jigglypuff who got assigned to her, but having a sentient oversized bed to sleep on which she can call on demand and that can also fight for her if motivated enough is not something Princess Syalis will complain about. Mako wasn't pleased either, but the Princess has allowed her to sleep on him together, which Mako happily accepted.

Moments later, when Ash and company arrived to check the being in question, he immediately identified it as a Snorlax in its natural habitat, that being almost always sleeping with no intention to wake up whatsoever. They asked if Ash could at the very least help but before they could do anything, they found Mako sleeping above the Pokemon. It was at this moment he knew that she was a good match for Snorlax's partnership and before she could even wake up, he captured it in a Pokeball for good measure, giving said ball to her as a sign of the connection between the two after she woke up. The team went up to their usual training grounds with the Pokeball right beside Mako's driver hatch.

Articuno | Jack Frost (Rise of the Guardians)

Connection: It was a typical snowy breeze as Articuno roosted at its nest on the edge of a mountain. During its rest, the Legendary Bird caught the presence of a wandering spirit, Jack Frost, who was trekking the mountain for personal solace. Articuno decided to descend downwards to personally greet with the Spirit of winter, who was quickly awestruck by the grace and beauty of the Legendary Pokémon. Both were able to tell that they were deeply connected and were revered in their association with ice. This had Articuno consider taking Jack along as a partner. Jack wondered if Articuno was alone and decided that he is happy to fill in that role. He's since become a common guest for Articuno's personal domain, but they've also taken a stance at defending their homes and proving themselves as guardians of ice. An alliance that will come to be remembered for being formidable, feared and... fun-loving, at least on Jack's part.

Zapdos | Mikoto Misaka

Connection: The pair met when Mikoto attending the Hall of Electricity to experiment and improve her skills in manipulating electromagnetism and her railgun utility. That's when she came across Zapdos, who found intrigue in a lot of other electric-wielding beings, Mikoto included. That said, Mikoto was able to impress Zapdos enough by showcasing her railgun technique, and while there were some stronger beings there, Zapdos ended up preferring Mikoto. That's when they ended up being partners with Zapdos becoming a pickup transport for Mikasa whenever she has to attend the House of School. And for the record, woe betides to any bully who happens to be in Mikoto and Zapdos's vicinity, especially if they're bullying someone. Otherwise, Zapdos will look over Mikoto hanging out with her friends, practising her skills or doing some Pantheonic services.

Moltres | Fujiwara no Mokou

Connection: Being a firebird and all has given it some affinity with the immortal known as Fujiwara no Mokou. Mokou, in turn, sees quite a bit of herself in Moltres, such as “dying” in order to recover their injuries (with Moltres diving into magma before rising & recovering, whil Mokou literally dies in order to revive thanks to the Hourai Elixir). With Lady Eboshi already being Yveltal’s partner, Mokou would then offer to be Moltres’, which it more than gladly accepted.

Dragonite | Carter Grayson

Connection: Due to Dragonite's history of rescuing people from shipwrecks, he quickly gravitated to one Carter Grayson of the Power Rangers. He's the head of a group dedicated to rescues, which meant he was in tune to the Dragon Pokémon's inherently charitable and helpful nature. Together Dragonite serves as a might dragon mount that has helped the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue out immensely, though the psuedo-legendary has advised them to be a lot more cautious in cold and icy terrains

Mewtwo | Anne-Marie

Connection: Mewtwo had a lot of things in his mind, many of which were tragic circumstances. One of them was a little girl named Amber who used to look after Mewtwo, given that both were clones. She was the only human friend he ever had in his childhood, and her death was something that will continue to haunt him. However, when he visited the House of Beasts and Fauna after hearing of Mew's presence and looking for his genetic predecessor, he witnessed the sight of a little girl talking to animals, a scene that made the Legendary Pokémon instantly recall Amber. The little girl saw Mewtwo, forcing him to descend to formally approach her. The girl identified herself as Anne-Marie and offered a handshake. Her jolly, cheerful demeanor caught Mewtwo offguard; she reminded him too much of Amber. He reciprocated and even asked if there was anything she wanted. Anne-Marie politely states that she wanted to make some new animal friends, although when Mewtwo did speak, she noticed that his tone was gruff, yet melancholic. Mewtwo responded that he once knew a little girl like her and looked up to her a lot, but sorrowfully told Anne-Marie that he would never see her again. This made Anne-Marie tear up and hug the Legendary Pokémon. She then took the feeling that Mewtwo was a lonely being and, in an attempt to make him happy, told him that he could stick around with her if he wanted. Mewtwo, however, declared instead that he would rather be a guardian to Anne-Marie. Her innocence and kindness was just like that of Amber's, and Mewtwo is bound to keep that preserved. While he may not spend too much time playing with the little girl, he does exhibit a lot of instinctual care and concern towards her. It's a powerful feeling and bond that the Genetic Pokémon will hold on to for as long as he can.

Mew | Vanellope Von Schweetz

Connection: The two met when Vanellope decided to venture around the House of Gaming for fun. Even before that, she was fascinated to learn about the stories of Mew, given that they would sometimes appear during a glitcb., As Vanellope herself was one before. Mew was initially curious, but once he took notice of what Vanellope wanted to express, they quickly bonded and took turns in glitching out for the fun of it. Vanellope also speculated that Mew sometimes felt lonely as it only appeared on rare occasions and decided to make the effort in giving it more company. It helps in that they're neighbours in the same House.

    Johto
Feraligatr | Steve Irwin
Connection: One day, Steve was out wrangling crocodiles in the Pantheon's billabongs when he spotted a strange red-tinted fin emerge from the water. Being the man that he is, he dove in and wrestled with the beast... only to realize the croc was standing up on its hind legs. And was not happy. It quickly tossed Irwin aside and was ready to bite a chunk out of him, but Steve was much quicker, subduing the massive reptile and bringing it back to his temple. Two of the Nature Preservers, Nakoruru and San, were waiting for Irwin when he returned and straightened things out, explaining the "croc" he snagged was a Feraligatr, and his actions weren't exactly "humane." As "punishment", they assigned Steve as Feraligatr's partner, assuming he'd give up and release it back into the wild. They were wrong. Steve and Feraligatr get along swimmingly, with the bipedal archosaur performing with Steve in front of live audiences and acting as his main companion with catching real-world crocs. It may be smaller than the Saltwater crocodiles Steve is used to, but Feraligatr is just the croc he needed.

Pichu | Baby Bink

Connection: Pichu came to find Baby Bink randomly when the baby was crawling away to a construction site. She became concerned when Baby Bink was seen by a group of thugs who wanted to kidnap him and Pichu was having none of it and went to confront and zap them away. She succeeded, but Baby Bink then turned to crawl to the streets, much to the Pokémon's bewilderment. The baby himself did notice Pichu and immediately wanted to play with her. Pichu decided to take him back to the park and interact with him more, though she does get annoyed every time Baby Bink vanishes and ends up someplace else. She does, however, appreciate his enthusiasm and optimism and always tries to make sure she's there for his protection, taking up the role of a surrogate sister. Baby Bink's parents have noticed and were more than happy to allow the Pokémon to stay at their residence as a foster sibling to Baby Bink, who clearly enjoys Pichu's presence.

Togepi | Nausicaä

Connection: One day, while wandering around a shadowy forest, Nausicaä came across a peculiar Togepi and became enamoured by the Pokémon's precociousness, though seeing as she was ill, Nausicaä rushed to get it nursed back to full health. She soon learned about the Togepi line and how it's evolved forms have the ability to soothe others and provide comfort and happiness in times of stress and strife. Seeing as she herself had a difficult life, Nausicaä took to adopting the Togepi as a travelling companion, intending to work together to spread some joy and relief to others along the way.

Espeon | Haruka Kotoura

Partnership's story: It is no surprise a powerful telepath like Espeon was immediately attracted to Kotoura Haruka. Haruka at first saw Espeon as a cute cat and was immediately reminded about the stray cat from her childhood, which saddened her momentarily. Espeon, hearing this, offered her apologies for not only being able to hear Haruka's thoughts, but for tapping into her mind and learning of her tragic childhood. This scared the young telepath as she was unable to read Espeon's thoughts but the opposite could. Nevertheless, the Sun Pokémon assured her that she will be "her kitty" and remain by her side whenever she needs her. This made Haruka very happy and gave Espeon a good long hug, which the Eeveelution enjoyed.

Umbreon | Bruce Wayne/Batmannote

Connection: Umbreon trotted around the Pantheon during nights, either looking for a partner or just wanting to exercise and explore around. She then ended up in a grimdy alley where she came across a bunch of goons harassing a young men with a knife, demanding he gave them money. Furious, Umbreon suddenly attacked and defeated the goons I to submission, though not before receiving a cut on her limb. That's when she noticed a dark shadow descending downwards and revealing himself to be the Batman. Umbreon looked at the young man who felt appreciative of the Pokémon before departing, though she collapsed and fell unconscious. She later woke up, her limb bandaged and feeling a little better, albeit in a strange lair that seemed to be a mix of underground stone architecture and a science lab. She then saw Batman again, who unmasked himself as Bruce Wayne. He commended her for standing up to the man who was getting mugged and admitted to watching the fight as he was intending to save him before Umbreon beat him to it first. Seeing great potential in learning from him, Umbreon opted if she can provide Bruce as an partner. Bruce gave it some thought, but eventually decided that she can, which made Umbreon happy. Though Bruce has said that she is to be given a training routine to make her stronger and more capable of fending for herself and helping others. Umbreon obliged, though is not above wanting some fun with him and his close ones, which Alfred Pennyworth and the Robins are more than welcome to do. Damien Wayne seems to spend a lot of time with her, given that he loves animals and often butts heads against his father if he can take Umbreon along at some times. Bruce often relents as he does feel that some of the missions he partakes may be too dangerous for the Pokémon. He trusts Damian the most when it comes to taking care of Umbreon and he will make whatever use he could to hang out with her and fight alongside crime with her. And to further the sweetness, Umbreon really likes Damian as a surrogate brother and sees him as a second partner in case Bruce is absent.

Quagsire | Jeffrey Lebowski

Connection: Quagsire as a whole is among the calmest, most laid back Pokémon out there. Naturally, he felt a connection to the Big Lebowski due to their similar personalities. Quagsire respected the worldview of his Dudeness and wanted someone to chill out with, sometimes with Jeffrey being on a pool floatie with the Water Fish Pokémon floating around the pool.

Murkrow | Marisa Kirisame

Connection: The Murkrow flock made their mark in the Pantheon by laying havoc via a massive scale of theft in some Houses, notably those of Food, Royalty and Crime and Transgressions. It took a while before they were eventually rounded up, defeated and caught, but they received an unexpected ally when Marisa suddenly came in and freed them as she found their antics amusing and pleasing for her. As a sign of gratitude, the Murkrow leader affirmed loyalty and a partnership for her, much to Marisa's excitement. She'll be having a lot of fun in stealing things, much to others' dismay.

Unown | The Mob

Connection: They're engimatic, collective entities with great power in mass. if anything, The Mob would use the Unown as a symbol of themselves and that's before they were ascended into the Pantheon. And once they did, The Mob wasted no time in scouting them and forming a partnership. Their relationship seems to be pretty great, with the two of them often depending on each other for exerting much greater potential in their powers. Though they are kept in check by many suspicious deities just to make sure it doesn't go out of hand, even if The Mob aren't really malicious.

Wobbuffet | Funny Valentine

Connection: Wobbuffet initially had no idea who to pick as his partner and and a hard time wandering around and seeing who would not just look after him, but also see him as a valuable asset and a friend in need. To his delight, Funny Valentine happened to express intrigue towards the Pokémon, given its infamous Shadow Tag ability. He offered Wobbuffet some snacks as a means to pacify and earn it's approval, followed by the Pokémon eagerly saluting Valentine and following him to his domain. Since then Valentine has used Wobbuffet as a defensive asset, with its formidable combination of Counter and Shadow Tag. That, and he will often take the Pokémon out for local trots and other enriching activities to keep it active and happy. And he's sure earned Wobbuffet's happiness and respect, much to the shock and frustration of everyone who's familiar with both.

Dunsparce | Betty Suarez

Connection: Dunsparce suffers from an inferiority complex of sorts when it comes to its appearance and this is one of the reasons it secludes itself to living in caves with minimal contact. One fateful day, he came across Betty Suarez, who has her own insecurities regarding her body and looks. Initially, Betty and Dunsparce were shocked by each other's looks, which later turned into sympathy and understanding as both acknowledged their issues about their looks. Betty then approached Dunsparce with more care and patience and petted the Pokémon without any altercation. The two have formed a close friendship with them looking after one another and complimenting each other's looks.

Qwilfish | Ariel

Connection: In one particular day, Ariel was monitoring the Pantheonic Seas when she stumbled across a peculiar Quilfish swimming by itself. While Ariel was familiar with the Pokémon, she didn't see this particular one anywhere else and decided to tag along. To her surprise, this particular Quilfish was the representative of his race in the Pantheon. Ariel opted to bring him some company, leading him to Atlantica, where he quickly made company with Ariel's friends including Flounder and Sebastian. Pleased, Quilfish opted to become a resident of Atlantica, though he needed permission from King Triton. He agreed under the notion that Quilfish became Ariel's partner for her protection and well-being, which his daughter quickly responded. As a result, Ariel will normally be swimming with Quilfish whenever she's on an adventure and the Pokémon will be making sure to protect and play with her. That, and be on the lookout for someone like Ursula.

Shuckle | Bacchus

Connection: Shuckle's ability to ferment berries within its shell and make berry juice makes the Pokémon a great distillery for Bacchus, the god of wine. As a result, the two immediately liked each other on first meeting and decided to form a partnership out of mutual benefit. Bacchus is a fun guy to hang around with and Shuckle feels energetic whenever he is around him, whereas Bacchus himself can have some of the best berry juices in the Pantheon with Shuckle's aid. Oh, and whenever Bacchus needs an extra set of defense, Shuckle is always there to provide for that.

Kingdra | Orm Marius the Ocean Master

Connection: Orm was not happy to learn his half-brother gained a partner in the form of the Sea Basin Pokémon, Kyogre, and desired a partner to bolster his forces. His search led him to a stray Horsea, who was warding off a gang of Carvanha. Orm drove them away and took an interest in the feisty seahorse, bringing it back and training it until it became a Seadra. Then, during a meeting with Arthur, Orm learned Seadra could evolve one stage further and with a little convincing, the brothers made the Seadra evolve into a Kingdra. Kingdra is loyal to Orm, not only because of their respect for the oceans but because the Ocean Master was the first person to see potential back when it was a Horsea. It stays by his side at all times and will step up to protect Dagon's inhabitants whenever Orm isn't around.

Porygon2 | Kevin Levin

Connection: Thanks to Conversion and Conversion2, Porygon2 is capable adapting and changing its physiology in a different, but complimentary way to Kevin. Kevin's experience with alien life and exploration in space spoke to the Pokémon as it was originally designed with space exploration in mind, but failed to live up to expectations. With his help Porygon2 wants to overcome this, and alongside its powers it also uses its technical know-how to help out his car.

Miltank | The Farmer

Connection: As a farmer who loves the rural life, he grew a liking to Miltank. And while they prefer a simple, slow life, this does not mean Miltank is one to turn away from a battle. Striking a massive thunderbolt at the sky caught the Pokémon's attention and Raikou was immediately in awe at the Thunder God's powers. Raiden then spoke of how he desired company and reached out to the Pokémon, who allowed him to pet his head in approval. To solidify their partnership, Raiden invited Raikou to his domain where it could serve as an honorary guest, which it felt thankful for and it will normally appear to Raiden's aid whenever he is in a battle. It seems appropriate that one of Raiden's greatest partners happens to be a revered beast associated with lightning.

Entei | Charlie MacGee

Connection: The Volcano Pokémon went to search for a new friend to bond with after its old companion Annie Hastur left the pantheon, and found one in Charlie MacGee. Entei was known to sometimes demonstrate a paternal instinct to young and emotionally vulnerable girls, and it wanted to both protect her from the government and teach her to better control her own fire powers.

Suicune | Chaac

Connection: Suicine and Chaac met each other after the former galloped around the House of Nature, searching for a nearby water source to take comfort it. This is where the Legendary Pokémon came into contact with the Mayan God of Rain. Having learned the story of the Legendary Beasts and seeing one of them in his presence, Chaac was surprised and wanted to personally meet with the Pokémon. Upon notice, Suicune sensed Chaac's presence to be one of a relatable kind. To demonstrate this, Suicune unleased a Rain Dance, an act that made Chaac smile in approval, given his nature of providing nurturing rain for his followers. As a declaration of their newfound friendship, Chaac allowed the Legendary Pokémon to stay at his place if it felt like it. While Suicune declined, it was open to stating it was content in being a battle partner and a fellow provider of rain, a gesture which the Mayan God of Rain happily obliged.

Tyranitar | Gaara

Connection: It was a rocky day when Tyranitar decided to whip out a giant sandstorm out of frustration over not having any company in the House of Nature. The whole commotion attracted Gaara, who was able to take advantage of the situation and quell much of the whipping sands into a halt and went to confront the Pokémon. Once they did, Tyranitar's first reaction was to strike Gaara, who reacted by a quick stop with his own sand powers. Restraining him long enough, Gaara tried to understand Tyranitar's situation and came to sympathize with him, knowing full well how it's like to live without company. This happened to pacify Tyranitar, who stopped and took a growl of exasperation and deactivating its sandstorm. Gaara then told the Pokémon that he wouldn't have to be alone all the time and it's able to find company, regardless of its nature. Such was his tone that Tyranitar was able to accept his words. As a result, a partnership was solidified and the two of them have made an effort to keep each other company and use their power of generating sandstorms to dissuade invaders and offer protection.

Lugia | Poseidon

Connection: One would think Poseidon would get his hands on Kyogre, but the Lord of the Seas was more content with pairing with the Beast Beneath The Sea. After learning of Lugia's previous corruption, Poseidon sought the Legendary Pokémon out, only to discover it being harassed by a crew of lowly pirates. He sent the mortals into the fathoms below before speaking with Lugia, offering the aid of Olympus for it. Lugia accepted, and when it's not in the Whirl or Orange Islands, it can be spotted in the Aegean Sea, keeping an eye on anyone who violates Poseidon's dominion. On a side note, despite Lugia's immense power, Poseidon warned against it fighting Kratos. He speaks from experience.

Ho-Oh | Jean Grey-Summers

Connection: Ho-Oh was able to detect an incredibly powerful aura that was similar to itself and went out to search for it. This small journey was what led the Legendary Pokémon to encounter Jean Grey, who was trying to practice her psychic powers with Charles Xavier bearing watch over her out of concern. After discovering the power's source, Ho-Oh went to glance upon Jean, who responded back by a sense of awe by the sight of an actual phoenix. The two immediately sensed a connection and they eventually came to like and respect each other. It didn't take a long time before Ho-Oh and Jean established a strong partnership with one another. Where the X-Men are unable to pacify her during her time of stress, Ho-Oh (and Scott Summers) would be the one in doing so, giving Jean some much-needed company. That, and Ho-Oh itself has become pretty protective of the X-Men and their allies as well, a prospect which Jean obviously shares.

Celebi | Ashitaka

Connection: Ashitaka never sought to obtain a Pokemon partner to fight by his side. However, during one particular battle between the Nature Preservers and the advocates of pollution led by Mr. Burns, things happened in such a way that he ended up in the very gallant position of protecting Celebi from warriors of the polluting faction. Celebi was really quite taken with his actions, and so the time-travelling forest guardian became attached to him. Ashitaka worries about her tagging along with him, though he doesn't have the heart to chase her away and her psychic and nature powers do occasionally come in handy when he gets himself in a pinch.

    Hoenn

Gardevoir | Soranote

Connection: When her ascension came to be, Gardevoir was interested in looking for someone who valued loyalty and protection to the ones they cherished above all. She had this similar nature and thus, she wanted to find a partner with those same traits. And that's how she was able to make contact with Sora, who fitted all of the criteria Gardevoir was looking for. They instantly connected and became partners in that regard. Additionally, Roxas being Sora's Nobody also meant that Gardevoir had an additional connection to him as well and greatly appreciated his bond with Xion and Lea. She has dutifully taken the role as a guardian for the two Keyblade warriors and will fiercely defend them and their friends when the situation calls for it.

Breloom | Little Mac

Connection: Breloom is a green Boxing Kangaroo of a mushroom, and Little Mac is the pantheon's main boxer complete with green boxing gloves. Breloom felt that bonding with him was natural as they could improve their boxing skills with one another's help.

Slaking | Homer Simpson

Connection: When Homer came into the Pantheon, he was one of the few legendary and most well-known figures in the House who took minimal action, instead preferring to slack around all day and eat donuts, while on one of his trips to the House of Food he found himself face to face with the Pokémon Slaking, whose laziness rubbed off Homer well. The two tried to get some pastries from Oren's bakery and sat down for a small chat afterward before they got themselves in some shenanigans culminating in a life-or-death situation from which Slaking saved Homer. After that, Homer decided that he liked Slaking enough to be his friend and the two became partners properly once Homer had the concept explained to him.

Sableye | Spike

Partnership's Story: At first, many deities confused Sableye for Spike based on his short stature, purple color, and appetite for gemstones. When Spike himself approached Sableye to find out what this was all about, he discovered he and the Darkness Pokémon got along quite well. They frequently hang around since then, occasionally together pulling pranks on other deities or treating themselves to a nice meal of gems.

Medicham | Shantae

Connection: Medicham was intrigued by the concept of the Pantheon, though she did gather that because of the vast amount of powerful beings being able to easily overwhelm her, she decided to start looking for someone to train under. This was what led her to Shantae, who found the Pokémon to be weird, but fun, in her appearance. Once Medicham told her what she really wanted to do, Shantae smiled and said that she can train with her anytime she wanted and was eager to help Medicham out. The Pokémon was delighted to hear of such encouragement and lent herself to become Shantae's official partner. As usual, Medicham trains with her partner in an effort to become stronger whilst also tightening their friendship, though Shantae would also try to get Medicham out to a few different activities to give the Pokémon some extra enrichment.

Plusle and Minun | Lua and Luca

Connection: The twin duelists caught the interest of the Pokémon duo due to the two them being twins and they had a red/blue colour contrast with one another. When they did meet, up, Lua and Luca appreciated Plusle and Minun's respect towards them and their dedication towards one another, in addition to the twin duelist reciprocation their feelings towards them. As a result, they quickly partnered up easily and the two duos are often seen helping each other out in their personal lives, in addition to Plusle and Minun supporting and cheering for their partners and, by extension, the other Team D5 members whenever they are dueling.

Zangoose | Wolverine

Connection: Logan was on his way to see Professor Xavier when he came across a strange sight. A white and red mongoose-like animal, with sharp black claws dripping with purple liquid. It was limping and exhausted, by all accounts, it had been in a pretty nasty fight. He took it with him to Professor X, and while the other X-Men patched it up, the Profesor suggested to Logan about taking the animal, revealed to be a Pokémon called Zangoose, with him for company. Wolverine wasn't up for the idea, but that opinion changed when he clashed with Sabertooth a few days later. The rogue mutant was about to take Logan out when Zangoose threw itself at Sabertooth, leading to his defeat. From then on out, Logan has allowed Zangoose to tag along with him wherever he goes. He won't admit it outright but he actually enjoys the Pokémon's company.

Seviper | Oberyn Martell

Connection: Though their sigil is a red sun pierced by a golden spear, House Nymeros Martell are often associated with snakes. A fitting comparison, considering many in the family have snake-themed names and are known to be quick, unpredictable and use poison in their arsenal. Prince Oberyn, known throughout the realm as "The Red Viper", was looking for additional allies to get revenge on Ser Gregor Clegane when he came upon a most fascinating sight. A large black, gold and violet serpent with long blood-red fangs and a tail shaped like a blade. It had sustained injuries from a vicious battle and though he was hesitant to handle a potentially dangerous animal, he took it back to his temple. While the Sand Snakes tended to the reptile's injuries, Oberyn did some research on it, learning that it was a Seviper and that it specialized in Poison-type attacks. A few weeks later, Oberyn approached the fully recovered Seviper and offered it a place in Dorne, wishing to help hone its skills in combat. Seviper accepted and soon became a thorn in the Mountain's side.

Lunatone & Solrock | Tate & Liza

Connection: When Tate and Liza ascended to the Pantheon, so too did their signature Pokémon Lunatone and Solrock. The two pairs came separately - Tate and Liza via an anomaly in Mossdeep City while the Pokémon via asteroids - and when the Gym Leaders sought out proper representatives for The Face of the Sun and The Man in the Moon, they decided to give the tropes over to their own Pokemon. The four often stay in the House of Space And Time, monitoring the cosmos, but they do return to Mossdeep City Gym to take on young challengers, even allowing the occasional deity to take them on. For the most part, they get along quite well.

Castform | Ororo Munroe/Storm

Connection: Castform immediately became attracted to Storm immediately after the former's ascension, which made sense as it sensed the former's much greater control and presence in regards to the weather and having the power of it. Storm herself felt endeared go see a Pokémon that has similar powers and is keen on furthering it's control and power over it so that it could defend and provide for itself and for others. Their partnership was an easy one, with Storm even developing a motherly instinct towards Castform. One would think twice about harming her partner, lest they incur Storm's wrath.

Kecleon Brothers | Solid Snake

Connection: During an infiltration attempt in the House of Commerce to check on its more morally questionable deities, Snake took to using his box to hide in one of the backdoors of a shop. Incidentally, it just so happened to be a newly-established setting for the Kecleon Brothers. Feeling that they had never seen such a box before, they opened the box, which caused the revealed Snake to jump up in a panic and assure them that he was not there to steal. The two parties came to an understanding when Snake told the brothers about his situation, which made the Kecleon Brothers decide to give him a few items for help and let Snake occupy their new shop for some time. This helped Snake greatly and was able to make preparations for his mission. He formed a partnership with his new Pokémon allies before setting off, though Snake has since become a regular visitor, with the Kecleon brothers often helping him out. Still, even he isn't allowed to steal their items...

Absol | Riku

Connection: The two were attracted to one another due to their affinity to darkness, yet deciding to use their powers to benefit and protect others. As a result, Absol came to see Riku in high regard and tagged along when the two were suddenly attacked by a Heartless horde. They put in a valiant effort although Riku and Absol were forced into getting backup from their allies in order to truly win. This was the first sign of their partnership, after which Absol has dedicated much of her time in looking after her partner and looking into the future to prevent as many disasters as she could. Riku couldn't be any more appreciative and respectable about it.

Relicanth | Davos Seaworth

Connection: When Relicanth ascended into the Pantheon, it was decided that Davos Seaworth was to be appointed as her partner as they were elderly beings with a strong association to the sea. Unsurprisingly, the two got along quickly when they first met, with Relicanth often swimming alongside Davos' ship whenever they are at sea. The presence of a fellow sea creature that displayed a strong fondness for the Onion Knight was enough to crack a smile at him. They're also very defensive of one another, with Relicanth doing anything in her power to protect Davos from any of his attackers and enemies.

Salamence | Annabelle

Connection: Salamence loved flying. It was a dream it sought ever since it was a Bagon, but unfortunately, after reaching his final evolution, he began to grow cocky and took to boasting about his power shooting fire around the sky just because he felt like it. Even then, a chance meeting with Annabelle dispelled Salamence from acting like a jerk and treated the reindeer with the utmost respect. It mainly stemmed from the fact that both of them had a dream for flying since their youth, though Annabelle, obviously not happy with what Salamence was doing, told him to cut it down, which he quickly accepted. It got to the point where the dragon Pokémon not only saw Annabelle as a partner but eagerly accepted her as an equal, listening to her and taking her advice every now and then. He still acts rather boisterous and jocky, but Annabelle will usually be there to bring out the best of Salamence.

Metagross | Hal "Otacon" Emmerich

Connection: When Metagross lumbered around a nearby facility, he stumbled across Otacon, who was looking after the building's physical state and to check if there was anything wandering around. He was intimidated by the sight of the Pokémon, though Metagross itself didn't look too fazed and soon figured out that the building that Otacon worked on was filled with computers that were used to monitor the Pantheon. This piqued the Pokémon's interest who decided to approach Otacon as a means to form a partnership and make itself feel at home at a place where it would use its mind just as much as it's a physical force to provide benefit. Otacon showed kindness to the Pokémon, affirming their relationship, with Metagross often providing further information that Otacon collects from his analysis and defending him from the treats. It's also become an honorary member of the GUAG White Hats.

Regirock | Toph Beifong

Connection: After helping her family members fight Kuvira and the Earth Empire forces, Toph began her journey back to the Spirit Swamp, ready to retire in peace. On the way back, she came across a strange temple, unlike anything she had "seen" before. Toph entered and discovered a massive golem seemingly made of different rocks all mashed together. She remembered learning of this "Regirock" during her time in Pantheon and approached. Regirock, despite its status as a legendary Pokémon, could sense Toph's immense power and was initially intimidated by the elderly woman despite her small size. This was shortly dispelled when the former Blind Bandit sat down and talked with the Rock Regi. She explained she wasn't in the mood for a fight and offered to keep Regirock safe in case Kuvira discovered the temple and took it as her own. As a result, the two returned to the Pantheon and with the High God's approval, became close friends, with Regirock often keeping company with Toph and helping her out with maintaining peace in the former Earth Kingdom.

Regice | Victor Fries

Connection: Regice preferred to be in solitude. Unlike the other Regis, it wasn't exactly all too social and tended to look at the cool breeze in the Hall of Ice and Cold. It did have a chance meeting with Mr. Freeze there, who was tending to himself. The Legendary Pokémon took notice of a mutual habit Mr. Freeze had and approached him. He was ambivalent to seeing a giant beast of ice, but was more surprised when it decided to tag along. While they didn't verbally communicate much, Regice did feel sympathy for what Mr. Freeze had gone through. Seeing as he was lonely, the Rego decided to offer a partnership to fill up an empty void Mr. Freeze had ever since his wife Nora was encased in ice. He surprisingly accepted as Regice understood his need for being solitary and reserved, like itself. While not villainous, Regice has a lot of loyalty for Mr. Freeze and will do what it can to help him. That said, the Legendary Pokémon would like to help out Mr Freeze's personal issues too, even if they are difficult to comprehend.

Registeel | Optimus Prime

Connection: Megatron had made a discovery. One that had the potential to tip the balance of the Cybertronian war in the Decepticon's favour. Hidden away in an ancient temple was a creature made from a most unusual metal, one that could stretch and shrink despite its hardness and remain in perfect condition. He sent his Decepticons to capture this new asset and bring it back to the Pantheon. Shockwave was about to convert the metallic titan, known as Registeel, into an unquestionably loyal Decepticon... but thankfully, Optimus Prime and his Autobots burst into the lab, and made off with the Pokémon. It turned out that Optimus had been keeping tabs on Registeel and the other Legendary Titans, and feared what would happen if Megatron got his hands on them all. To that extent, Prime opted to secure the Iron Pokémon's protection by becoming his partner. While Registeel can't really express much, it did give off a sound reminiscent of a transformation sequence. Wheeljack could only guess that it was pleased, which Optimus was alright with.

Latios & Latias | Dipper & Mabel Pines

Connection: Both twins' share utmost dedication and care towards one another. While there are other examples, Dipper and Mabel displayed the strongest tendencies in that regard, which is why Latias and Latios took a keen interest in them. The two actually met after the Hall of Twins was attacked by Bill Cipher, which prompted the Eon Pokémon to arrive, given their symbolic relationship with the House, and they drove Cipher off before he could do any damage. Dipper and Mabel have since taken solace with the Pokémon duo and sometimes depend on each other, particularly Latias, who enjoys having fun and spending time with others. Latios, on the other hand, has extended his protective feelings to the Pines twins as well with a fierce disposition to keep them safe.

Kyogre | Arthur Curry/Aquaman

Connection: As the King of Atlantis and the Oceans, it is Arthur's duty to protect both from any destructive threats. When he learned of Team Aqua awakening Kyogre and sending it on a near world-ending rampage, Arthur feared what might happen if other individuals - namely his half-brother, Orm, and Black Manta, got their hands on the Legendary Pokémon. So he took matters into his own hands. He confronted the leviathan while out on a morning swim and conversed with it via telepathy, offering it a place within Atlantis to stay safe. The Sea Basin Pokémon took its time to respond, but much to Arthur's surprise, it accepted his offer. Kyogre will come to Atlantis to avoid capture and to occasionally recopirate from battling Groudon. While some in the Pantheon believe Aquaman to be Kyogre's "master", the truth is the pair see each other as equals, and both will not hesitate to help the other when things get ugly.

Groudon | Bolin

Connection: Groudon had reconsidered other deities as possible partners, before settling on someone who best fit their element and power in the world; lava. Initially ignoring Rayquaza's interest in the world of Avtarar due to scoffing at the legendary's interference, the Continent Pokémon changed its mind upon learning of Bolin. He's someone dedicated to helping out the Avatar of his time, and is notable for the ability to Lavabend. Their similar abilities and Bolin's eagerness to maintain stability and sustainability over the Earth encouraged a partnership, something others hope

Rayquaza | Aang

Connection: Air-elemental keepers of the balance, in addition to being incredibly powerful protectors and benefactors. Aang was eager and excited to hear about Rayquaza's origins and story, especially considering the similarities they had regarding their destinies. The Legendary Pokémon also took a liking to Aang as he does understand the burdens of keeping balance and what it takes to provide measures for it, even if the boy's cheery disposition can be annoying sometimes. Aang will joyfully hop and ride with Rayquaza into the high skies, having as much fun as he can, but should he ever decide to join a battle with the Pokémon, one cannot hope to think about the idea of challenging an Avatar and one of the most powerful Legendary Pokémons when together.

Jirachi | Oerba Dia Vanille

Connection: Jirachi and Vanille related and understood each other as they had a strong association with meteors and had to fend off giant monsters and threats. As a result, Vanille eagerly took Jirachi under her wing and has been treating him as her best friend outside of her fellow Defiers of Fate. Amusingly, they thought Jirachi was an "imaginary friend" Vanille made to help her cope with the fact that she could communicate with the dead. When a "Comet" woke Jirachi up, it proved Vanille's beliefs to be right, with the Defiers being open to allow Jirachi to be in their company.

Deoxys | X

Connection: Being someone with the ability to copy others, X took notice of Deoxys as it was a fellow being that was also able to modify and alter its appearance to suit its current needs and condition. The two first met when Deoxys was fending off an attack initiated by Omega, who just so happened to have invaded his territory. X quickly came to the Pokémon's aid where together, they proved to be strong enough to drive Omega away. Admired and grateful for X's compassion and determination to help, Deoxys allowed itself to allow X into its company. X decided that if the Pokémon needs help and company, he'll always be available and the two have remained fighting partners since.

    Sinnoh

Empoleon | Napoleon Bonaparte

Connection: In case it wasn't obvious, the Emperor (Penguin) Pokémon is inspired and and based on Napoleon. Same height, similar pride, part of the avian's name cames from the famed leader, and Empoleon even has the Classy Cravat. There was definitely a mutual need to appeal to each other's egos, however there was also a practical reason for their partnership; famed for its ice-breaking abilities, Napoleon saw Empoleon as a way to tackle that Old Man Winter that Russia had defeat him in the first place. And serving one of history's greatest generals was nothing short of an honor for the Emperor Pokémon.

Rampardos | Bonk

Connection: As a creature well-regarded for its head-butting nature, Rampardos met with Bonk when the latter was traversing around the Hall of Prehistoric Beasts out of curiosity. Surprised to see a creature with a similar habit of using their head as a weapon, Bonk decided to bring some leaves to tame and befriend the Rampardos. He was eventually able to win the Pokémon's approval and headbutted a nearby rock to pieces to demonstrate how the two were alike. Bonk and Rampardos have since become good friends and compete against one another in headbutting matches, alongside looking after each other if they're feeling down.

Lopunny | Hibari

Connection: As the leader of Team Charm, Lopunny felt somewhat entitled to have a partner, given that Gardevoir and Medicham have managed to secure one for themselves. In a rather mundane day, she stumbled across Hibari, who took particular notice of the Pokémon due to her rabbit-like appearance. In fact, after reading about her Mega Evolution, which just so happened to resemble Hibari's pet rabbit, Ninpo, her interest grew. During their first meeting, Hibari asked what Lopunny was capable of, which prompted the rabbit Pokémon to display her tricks and skills in an effort to impress her. Hibari quickly took to quickly liking Lopunny, which endeared her as this meant that she had found her partner. They immediately tagged along, with Lopunny making sure she's there to hang out and protect her new partner as much as she can. That, and hopefully not start a heated rivalry with Ninpo...

Garchomp | Cynthia

Connection: Of all the Pokémon Cynthia has carried with her, Garchomp is easily her most powerful and most notable. While the exact details of how they first came to meet each other are unknown, it is clear that Garchomp sees her trainer in very high respect and is more than willing to serve and fight for her. So much so that many would admit that part of Garchomp's strength and determination is just how willing it is to fight for Cynthia, a very commendable trait. They are also one of the most formidable duos in the Pantheon for a pretty good reason, and just as much of a role model as Ash and Pikachu regarding partnerships.

Lucario | Ryu

Connection: Wandering around the Pantheon, Ryu came into contact with Lucario nearby a steep hill where the Pokémon was meditating. It stopped as soon as it sensed Ryu's presence and initially tried to understand why the warrior came to his place. Ryu explained that he was wandering around in search of strong warriors, which was what attracted him to Lucario. In response, the Pokémon accepted a battle against Ryu, which left both of them impressed by the other for their determination and harnessing a peculiar type of aura. They eventually decided to create a partnership, with Lucario being more than happy to fight against Ryu as a means to hone each other's strengths and discipline. That and Lucario would like to help out Ryu in resisting his temptations towards the Satsui no Hado.

Probopass | Magneto

Connection: Probopass's powers suffered from a lack of control and as a result, the Pokémon often wandered around, looking for someone who could train and improve his power of magnetism. This led the Pokémon to Magneto, who was amicable enough to demonstrate his reputation as the Master of Magnetism and displayed that with enough hard work, Probopass can become strong as well. Inspired and determined, it immediately struck an alliance with Magneto, who has come to see the Pokémon as an individual to look after. Though the X-Men aren't too happy to see these turn of events, Probopass has made it clear that it has no enmity towards them, despite its loyalty to Magneto, but that doesn't change the fact that it will fight alongside him if need be.

Weavile | Erma Williams

Connection: Erma found Weavile's concept as a Youkai to be rather fascinating and decided to invite her and the Sneasel brothers to a tea party at her place. Erma did the best she can to provide and have with them. The Sneasel brothers very much enjoyed the party and quickly got to playing with their newest friend. Weavile appreciated the gesture and offered to become her partner. They'll often be seen having fun and trying to go around befriending others, given that Erma and Weavile don't have the best luck when finding friendly faces. But still, one should be wary of Erma if anyone tried to harm Weavile or the Sneasel brothers in her presence.

Leafeon | Poison Ivy

Connection: While Poison Ivy may be a notable for who goes toe-to-toe against the Caped Crusader every now-and-then, not many tend to know that she does have a code of honour and standards. Despite her status as a villain, Leafeon found her domain to be a strangely comfortable place to go to, which caught Ivy's attention. A fellow plant manipular like herself, Ivy quickly came to like the Pokémon rather quickly and acted very polite and caring for her. It turned out that Leafeon was actually capable of bringing out the best in Ivy, whether she wanted to admit it or not, but she will claim that the reason she adopted Leafeon as her partner was because the Pokémon wouldn't stop leaving her. That's not to say she is very defensive about her well-being. Harm Leafeon and Ivy will make sure to punish the perpetrator hard. Also, she finds the fact that Batman has an Eeveelution, namely Umbreon, as his partner to be rather amusing on her part.

Porygon-Z | Monika

Connection: The buggy Porygon-Z has come to be fond of Monkia due to her ability to glitch and hijack the game, and knowledge on coding; she can protect it from those who'd wish the Living Program harm, and the Virtual Pokemon has a lot of power to offer her. It doesn't seem to fully understand the point of a dating sim, however, given how its line is programmed.

Glaceon | Queen Elsa

Connection: One day, Queen Elsa was wandering around in the Pantheon, when she found a lone Eevee. Taking compassion on it, she took it back to her temple and cared for it until it was back to full health. Once it had fully recovered, the Eevee willfully stayed by her side and was eventually able to evolve into Glaceon. With their ice powers in synchrony both Queen and Pokemon were full-fledged partners from that day forward.

Gallade | Wally

Connection: This particular Gallade was the first Pokémon that Wally caught, back when it was a Ralts. Rotom | Nero Yuzurizaki

Connection: Nero has the power to sense electricity and take control of machines with her mind. With that in mind, she took a visit to a dilapidated building where she sensed an unusual surge of electric currents going around the area. As she investigated, she was surprised to discover that the source of it was the Pokémon, Rotom, which briefly scared her. Rotom himself expressed curiosity towards Nero, who slowly regained her composure and saw that the Pokémon was projecting a thoughtful expression at her. Then, when she took control of a nearby electronic, Rotom began to grin, meeting with someone with similar powers. He asked if Nero could stay for a little longer, just to have fun, and the girl decided to play along. They had some fun together, playing a few pranks and scares at one another, eventually developing a friendship. By the end of it, when Nero decided to leave the building, Rotom bumped at her back, wanting to tag along. Seeing as they bonded pretty well back then, Nero decided to take the Pokémon along with her. Maybe she and Rotom are going to have a pretty mischievous time with the rest of Milky Holmes pretty soon...

Uxie | Prometheus

Connection: While Prometheus's defiance towards the Greek Gods and presenting them fire as a means to help them develop and eventually pioneer technology was sneered at by the Gods themselves, some not only took pity to him but also admiration for wanting to provide something for benefit. Hence, Uxie decided to approach him and offer its condolences and to look after him. Surprised to see how a higher being came to respect him for what he did and tried to contribute, Prometheus thanked Uxie for the hospitality and allowed it to become his partner, especially considering that with the help of the Legendary Pokémon, he could seek further knowledge and wisdom for himself and towards others.

Mesprit | Leonard McCoy

Connection: As a person who was heavily associated with the passionate side of emotion, Mesprit quickly came to find a particular interest in McCoy often following around him without noticing. Once he did realize what was going on, McCoy pondered on why Mesprit came to see him with so much intrigue. When he met with James T. Kirk and Spock over this occasion, they figured that with the tropes that they represented, it would only be logical that Mesprit was interested in McCoy due to his strong representation of thinking and reacting on emotional responses. This allowed him to approach the Legendary Pokémon and offer it the chance to stick around with him as a guardian of sorts, thinking it would help that it could find new company and would potentially bond with it's new partner to the point of a close friendship and willing to defend him from overbearing threats. Mesprit happily accepted.

Azelf | Hal Jordan/Green Lantern

Connection: Azelf is the divine Pokémon representative of Willpower and hence, was seen as a sign of goodwill to those who attributed Willpower as their greatest virtue. It soon came into contact with Hal Jordan and immediately recognised his determination and willingness to fight for the greater good a d how he upholder the motto of the Green Lantern Corps, an amazing display of representing Willpower. Hal took to appreciating the Legendary Pokémon for its hospitality and respect towards the Corps and offered to form an alliance. The Green Lanterns were eager to accept Azelf as a close ally and are willing to work together. Still, Hal is the one Lantern that Azelf associates with the most and the two often visit each other's domains to check up on one another.

Dialga | Future Trunks

Connection: Being the Pokémon overseer of Time, Dialga is a notable presence in the House of Time and Space and, of course, looks after the aspect of time and anything related from its associated deities to Halls centered around it, in addition to preventing time travel from being used maliciously. It came into contact with the Pantheonic Time Police sometime after the latter's formation and the two parties agreed to work together in managing the Pantheon's time stream and to prevent potential catastrophes from happening. Dialga personally chose Future Trunks to be its partner as the future Z-Fighter was the most cautious and wary of the dangers of tampering with Time and felt obligated to fight for a better timeline. Dialga could respect that.

Palkia | Yukari Yakumo

Connection: They just happened to meet one day in the space between time. Palkia had detected that someone had invaded its territory, only to find Yukari sleeping soundly. Palkia blasted a Dragon Breath at her and Yukari retaliated, starting with returning its own blast against it.

Regigigas | Prince Adam/He-Man

Connection: Prince Adam and Regigigas met for the first time when the latter was trying to make landmass arrangements, courtesy of Gaea in the House of Nature. It just so happened that Adam stumbled by, only to feel the earth ruble beneath his feat. He quickly decided to investigate where he found the leader of the Legendary Golems exert much of its power into causing fissures and flipping over pieces of land, so that other animals may find more space or travel more easily. Not one to shy away from heroic acts, Adam quickly changed to He-Man and rushed in to help out. He quickly managed to lift up as many slabs of earth as he could and either rearrange them or place them in different, less obstructive areas to get the job done. The Legendary Pokémon was quickly impressed by He-Man's actions and personally went to greet with him. He-Man declared that now that his work is done and that he's being appreciated, he is welcome to attend and help anytime, hence they decided to formally begin a partnership with one another. As for Gaea, she thinks Prince Adam is a good soul, if not a pretty bombastic one and given that he and Regigigas get along really well, she'll let him be.

Giratina | Midna

Connection: On one particular day, Giratina noticed a strange portal in its realm of the Distortion World. Out of concern and to check on things, it ended up in the Realm of Twilight, where it was noticed by the Usurper King, Zant. He quickly attempted to capture the Legendary Pokémon for his own causes, but Giratina proved to be far too overwhelming for Zant to handle, let alone tame, and drove him way. The event caught the attention of Midna, who quickly went to meet the Pokémon ruler of Antimatter. To her surprise, she realized that Giratina had no ill will and, while highly aggressive, was willing to defend the Pantheon, in spite of its appearance and reputation. Seeing that Midna herself meant well as well, Giratina mellowed out for a while and considered sharing a partnership with Midna, given that the two of them hovered a realm of darkness and want what's best for their world and no harm towards the outside. Seeing a potentially powerful ally, Midna accepted the offer and as a result, a mutual connection between the Distortion World and the Realm of Twilight has been established for the two of them. This whole thing, however, has made Zant all the more jealous and promises to one day steal Giratina for himself.

Manaphy | Milo James Thatch

Connection: The Prince of the Sea has a special connection to Samiya, a now sea-based palace found in the red moonlight of a lunar eclipse. Because of his research on Atlantis and important role in saving it from greedy villains like Commander Rourke, Manaphy judged him worthy of partnership.

Shaymin | Viridi

Connection: Shaymin herself considered different partners like Swamp Thing and Yuuka Kazami, but found the former to be too dull and scary and the latter to have already formed a partnership with Venusaur. This led her into finding Viridi, who was adamant in looking after and maintaining protection of nature, as the goddess happens to be a nature spirit herself. Being boisterous individuals who sometimes butt heads against others, Shaymin and Viridi found some common ground with each other and decided to look out for one another in that regard.

Arceus | Mata Nui

Connection: Upon his ascension, Mata Nui quickly became accustomed to the good-aligned residents of the House of Faith and Religion. Ditto for Arceus, though he personally found making a partnership being rather difficult, in part of being the Pokémon God. He soon found some satisfaction upon encountering Mata Nui, who was pleased to see a divine figure who was kind and compassionate, yet compromising when it comes to getting his job done. The Alpha Pokémonbdecided it would be best to be partners with Mata Nui and thus, it was settled. Being neighbors of the same House has helped considerably as Mata Nui and Arceus are dedicated in looking after their respective races and are quick to help one another regarding advice. And furthermore, Arceus does not see Mata Nui as his trainer, but rather his equal on their relationship.

    Unova
Victini | Gentaro Kisaragi/Kamen Rider Fourze

Meanwhile, Gentaro found himself in a battle as Fourze vs the newly ascended evil Kamen Riders. This was in the hopes of Gentaro becoming his darker self. Just as Gentaro was about to lose hope, Victini arrived and, seeing Gentaro in danger, took a powerful blow meant for him. Seeing Victini hurt made Gentaro step in to protect the Legendary, the two cementing their new friendship with Gentaro's signature handshake. Victini then gave him a power boost that ended with Fourze's Cosmic States blasting the villains to the upper limits of outer space. After that, Victini shared some of its stolen macarons with his new friend just as the Food deities came to attack the thief. Gentaro quickly came to Victini's aid, saying Victini was his good friend. With this word, Victini was forgiven for his crimes and ascended into the House of Food, where Gentaro comes with his other friends to share freshly made macarons.

Oshawott | Katara

Connection: During an expedition around the territories of her Water Tribe, Katara came across an Oshawott, who was trying to make his way across the frigid, harsh waters and cold and was using its own ability in water and ice to manoeuvre and support his way through. Impressed and delighted to see how cute the Pokémon looked, Katara approached him, despite warnings from Sokka, which went to no avail on the latter's part. She used her waterbending skills to attract the Oshawott's attention, which how the two first met. Sokka witnessed his sister compliment the Pokémon and showing him more of her abilities, which made Oshawott more interested. Sokka tried to throw one of his boomerangs to see how he would react, which Oshawott did by catching and throwing it back upon first notice and firing a Water Gun on Sokka, much to the latter's displeasure and Katara's amusement. By the time she wanted to leave, Oshawott immediately began to follow. Remembering how Aang has a collection of animal allies like Appa and Momo, and having Rayquaza as a partner, she decided to allow Oshawott to join and become her partner. Sokka grumbled but decided to accept it, given that Katara does think that someday, her brother and her new Pokémon partner will get along someday.

Audino | Hisao Nakai

Excadrill | Jill Dozer

Given how useful he can be, even outside of battle, Excadrill gets involved a lot in the goings-on in the Pantheon; it helps that he gets involved with Team Dai-Gurren a lot after getting along with its founder and leader Kamina and Simon respectively. The latter considered debating who gets to have the Subterrene Pokémon as a partner, but the former, ever the Cool Big Bro, relinquished his claim. Not that that matters much since they're all together as one group now. Through them, he also became acquainted with Jill Dozer, who was interested in his drill-based implements, and they're both from Game Freak works to boot. Despite her status as the leader of a gang of bandits, due to their status as a group of Loveable Rogues, Excadrill still thinks it's alright to join forces with her from time-to-time to go on adventures. As such, given just how insane things can get with Team Dai-Gurren to levels that even he can't handle for extended periods, he decided to transfer his partnership to the Red Dozer leader.

Cofagrigus | Anakaris

Connection: In the past, Cofagrigus was a devoted follower of Anakaris. Pleased by his devotion, Anakaris made a case to ascend him and took him under his wing as his Pokémon partner. Wherever Anakaris goes, Cofagrigus is not too far behind a d they're more than dedicated to looking over their domains for protection, in addition to allowing travellers and residents for a safe journey and residence. Shocked and confused, Loki converted himself into his brother Helblindi, with Fenrir turning into Býleistr. After going back and forth between forms, the two finally reverted back to their original selves, revealing the Thor impostor was a black and red bipedal fox. Loki was initially not happy to have his joke fail, but he soon saw an opportunity. He conspired with the fox, Zoroark, to follow through with his plans. One dual World Serpent/Fenrir practical joke later and Loki and Zoroark became good companions, even if Thor isn't happy to have two shapeshifters together.

Ferrothorn | Lakitu and Spiny

Connection: The two met shortly after Lakitu ascended. During a short exploration around the Pantheon, Lakitu came across Ferrothorn, whose appearance and its way to defending and attacking immediately caught his attention. When Lakitu dropped a Spiny in front of the Ferrothorn, the Pokémon took notice and reacted with amusement and interest over a similar creature like itself. Both spiky creatures took a liking to one another immediately and when Lakitu descended to greet himself, Ferrothorn commended him for being a good partner for Spiny and would like to offer its services as well. Not one to throw away a potential asset for Bowser and to get a new friend, Lakitu agreed for a partnership, which Ferrothorn was delighted by.

When there was nowhere to go, Yoshino basically asked Cryogonal why was it panicky, to which the Pokémon answered that it hasn't really seen her around its Hall. That's when Yoshino displayed her affinity to ice, which cheered Cryogonal up and made it more expressive. She then stated that in case it felt timid and afraid of warm temperatures, she'll be there to comfort Cryogonal, stating that she'll use her powers to keep it comfortable. Appreciated and happy to see such a gesture, Cryogonal decided to partner up with Yoshino. It also helped that Yoshino herself was also shy and that was why it decided to follow the Snowflake Pokémon when it felt, feeling some degree of kinship towards it.

He was impressed by her reputation and fear factor, which was saying something as Hydreigon is one of the most aggressive Pokémon naturally. He did offer condolences when Daenarys was grieving for the loss of two of her dragons, Viserion and Rhaegal, even if they resurfaced in the Pantheon. As a gesture of goodwill, Hydreigon offered himself as a possible partner, which Daenerys accepted. They've since become a formidable force, with the prospect of Daenerys possessing four dragons being the words of nightmare for many a men. After all, her other three dragons are more than capable of destroying settlements if they wanted to.

He saw Artoria at the gates of a dilapidated castle, her scabbard Avalon, housing the legendary sword, Excalibur, perched on top of a pathway with her owner clenching it tightly and overlooking the fields and forests. Interested at her royal looks and steely demeanour, the Legendary Pokémon slowly trotted towards her as Artoria quickly noticed her presence. She calmly asked who he was and what was his intentions. Cobalion whinnied with authority and bowed before her, stating that he ended up in a strange world and was surprised to see a figure stay in a ruined settlement. Artoria replied that she, too, came by accident, but upon learning of Bretonnia, she decided to matters into her own hands and look after its settlements until its rightful rulers are ascended into the Pantheon. Artoria accepted the offer, with two renowned warriors establishing a pair that will fight for what they believe is right and just. Ever since then, many have revered Artoria and Cobalion as divine overseers of what was left of Bretonnia and as honourable leaders who will do anything for their comrades and friends.

Virizion | Maya Fallegeros

Connection: Maya met Virizion during an expedition in the House of Nature when a series of pollution left much of the greenery damaged and animals hurt or kidnapped. Maya leapt as high as she could, attacking Hunter J's ship and catching Virizion's attention. Impressed by the Jungle Princess's action, the Legendary Pokémon reciprocated with a Sacred Sword, doing enough damage to catch the poacher's attention. Maya and Virizion then decided, in the heat of the moment, that it was best to fight alongside one another and charged through Hunter J's ship, rescuing any Pokémon they came across and dueling against the poacher. They eventually managed to defeat and drive Hunter J away to yet another defeat, whereupon the rescued Pokémon bowed in relief and gratefulness towards the jungle princess and one of the Swords of Justice. Formally, Virizion recognized Maya as a worthy hero for the Pokémon and the forest and offered itself to be her human partner. Given that she already had Quilfish as an ally, the mermaid decided if she can introduce Keldeo to a new friend as a gift, said friend being Melody. When the two met for the first time, Melody told the Sword of Justice her experience as a rebellious girl when it came to Atlantis, which endeared Keldeo for similar reasons. They also admitted that their recklessness has been problematic and that it'll take some time before they can get over it. Eventually, they decided to stick around for a bit longer, whereupon Melody and Keldeo had a large understanding for one another to the point where they affirmed a tight partnership for one another. Still, Terrakion wasn't giving up and followed after Terumi when he ventured off to try and spite his enemies within the Supreme Kais. When Terrakion caught up to Terumi, he was engaged in battle with South Kai, and he attempted to use South Kai's apprentice Clay as a Human Shield. Terrakion then stepped in and attacked Terumi from behind, with him and South Kai ultimately driving Terumi off. In the aftermath, the two decided to converse with each other, and found a great deal of commonalities between each other, from their passion for combat in defense of others, to their stout bulk and durability. Satisfied and happy, Asuka then asked if she can take Greninja in as a partner. He declared her to be a good warrior and personally heard of her experiences in making friends via fighting and beating them. As an award for matching him, he accepted the offer. It marked one of Asuka's best days in the Pantheon, after which she occasionally eggs on her Pokémon partner to get into all sorts of fun with her, much to his chagrin. Worthy to note that the four Carbink take turns being at Rarity's side while the other three stay at Diancie's side as they can't afford to leave her alone. Infuriated by its humiliation, Klefki decided to change tactics. It sneaked into the House of Knowledge in a quest to find out about their backgrounds. Once it learned the identities of their closest allies, Klefki came up with a plan.

One day, while Haruka was separated from her group, Klefki approached her. It told her that Kanata had ascended into the Pantheon, but was trapped within the Demonic Legion. Excited to see him, Haruka rushed in and got trapped. Klefki then nabbed her Dress Up Keys. It then taunted Haruka by jingling her keys in front of her, but she showed no remorse or hatred. She wasn't fearful of the place, either.

Klefi felt bad for what it did, so it changed its mind and decided to help Haruka out of her imprisonment. It handed her keys back and opened her cage, and together, they busted out of the Demonic Legion.

Once they made it outside, Klefki tearfully apologized for what it did, but Haruka forgave it and thanked it for helping out of trouble. She then offered Klefki to be her partner, and it accepted in delight. Haruka entrusted all her Princess Keys to Klefki so that no one else can rob her powers, and encouraged her friends to do the same.

Gourgeist | Headless Horseman

Connection: Being an unfriendly creature that has some sort of association with spookiness, Gourgeist was not a popular Pokémon, with even Jack Skellington not wanting anything to do with her presence in Halloween. Still, there was one being who did feel like there was camaraderie to be found with the Gourgeist. The Headless Horseman himself was a fellow jerkish being and seeing Gourgeist trotting by itself, he approached her and asked what it was doing. When the Pokémon stated that it was thinking of pulling a prank at a nearby settlement in the House of Undead and Phasmata, the Headless Horseman chuckled and decided to tag along with her. In a short while, he even allowed her to sit at where his head should have stood, granting the Horseman one, which amused and entertained Gourgeist and affirming their partnership. If he's not terrorising, the Headless Horseman will be out playing all sorts of pranks with Gourgeist, much to her excitement.

Xerneas | San

Connection: During one day patrolling the House of Nature, San noticed a radiant light from a distance emitting deep within a forest. Feeling a mix of concern and curiosity, she went to investigate the light, whereupon she stumbled across the presence of the Legendary Pokémon, Xerneas perched at the center of a large, blooming meadow. Taking notice at the San, Xerneas bellowed a commanding cry to ask her who she was and what she was doing in the fields of nature. She then explained her motives and how her love for nature is the main driving factor for looking after the forests and it's inhabitants. Impressed, the Pokémon allowed itself to be petted by San and then advised her to put in her best efforts to defending what she cherishes with itself by her side. From now on, where San goes, Xerneas will follow, the former defending nature and the latter to blossom and revitalize it. And the forests will always revere and anticipate their efforts.

Yveltal | Lady Eboshi

Connection: It was a warm summer evening when the inhabitants of Iron Town, slowly rebuilding their homes, saw a creature approaching across the horizon. A massive creature, flying overhead and eclipsing the settlement in a y-shaped shadow. There was panic initially amongst the people and Lady Eboshi had to restore the peace. She followed the beast's trail to a mountain top not far from Iron Town and came face to face with a gigantic, red-and-black bird, and quickly noticed one of its wings was damaged. Eboshi sought out Ashitaka and San's aid and helped the creature recover from its injuries. San explained that the bird was a Pokémon, a Legendary known as Yveltal, who governed over death and rebirth. Eboshi listened and initially considered letting Yveltal go... but plans changed. Lord Asano's samurai attacked Iron Town, and to everyone's surprise, Yveltal flew in to help protect the small settlement, driving off the invaders with its demonic appearance. Eboshi thanked the Pokémon for aiding the town and decided to let Yveltal stay, eventually becoming its partner. San wasn't pleased with the decision, but the two understood the importance of maintaining life and death's balance, so they don't argue over it. much.

Zygarde | Gaea

Connection: Zygarde was an incredibly territorial Pokémon who took its job in overlooking the ecosystem seriously. It was something that Gaea simply couldn't ignore and she felt that the Legendary Pokémon would be a worthy ally to have in maintaining and defending nature. When the two did meet, they immediately recognized and acknowledged each other's dedication for the world's life. They didn't even need to invite the other to become a partner, they just became one in that one meeting. Their loyalty for another is astounding; Zygarde will always adhere to Gaea first and foremost and an attack on her is an attack on itself. His loyalty to her was absolute and this was why it secured a spot as Gaea's top offensive figure for the Gaea's Avengers.

Diancie | Madoka Kaname

Connection: It was a rainy day, a few weeks after the Great Upheaval. Madoka, wanting to take her mind off recent events, took a walk and admired the sight of the Pantheon in the rain. She strolled along, with an umbrella in her hand, taking in the view. As she walked past the House of Nature, she caught a glimpse of the Mythical Pokémon Diancie watching the rainfall. The wind suddenly picked up and blew the umbrella out of Madoka's hand, leaving her soaking wet.

Madoka found a cave nearby to take shelter and dry off a little. The storm got much worse, trapping Madoka in the cave. Afraid, powerless and alone, Madoka hugged her knees and sobbed. Hearing Madoka's cries for help, Diancie bounced over to see what she could do.

Madoka was not expecting a two-foot-tall rock Pokémon to start talking. She stopped crying, startled. Diancie introduced herself and asked if there was anything she could do. Madoka asked if Diancie really wanted to hear about her problems. Diancie assured her that if it would make her feel better, Madoka could talk as long as she wanted.

After explaining the Upheaval as best she could, Madoka, overwhelmed by her experiences, began to cry again. Diancie tried to comfort Madoka and made a small pink diamond to cheer her up. Diancie once again decided to help Madoka and declared she would do everything within her power to do so. The rain then stopped.

Grateful for Diancie's help, Madoka immediately thanked Diancie and accepted the diamond. She vowed to get stronger again and also vowed to help Diancie if she was ever in trouble. A partnership was born.

Hoopa | Chell

Connection: Portals are a unique phenomenon. The idea of traveling through certain distances with a simple step and an entrance to the other side is a great concept. Very few have tried it though due to the limitations of technology yet some companies, as with the case with Aperture Science, have managed to create such with great precision. In Chell's case, this is what gifted her with the utilization of the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device. This made traveling for her much easier, made even more so with a certain AI's tendency to create deadly puzzles that would have killed her had the Portal Gun not been in her use. Though, some beings, specifically a certain Pokemon have the capability to the same thing naturally, a feat that took its interest towards her.

After escaping another round of GLaDOS's puzzles did the AI notice another portal within the facility. At first, she thought it was Chell's gun acting weirdly but she did notice a pink being with yellow rings roaming the labs. That is when she decided to call a lockdown within Aperture Science but not before she snatched Chell away from the AI. With both together without GLaDOS's intervention, the two can now use portals at their own discretion. Thinking with portals times two.

    Alola
Decidueye | Takumi
Connection: Initially, Decidueye was conflicted between choosing Hawkeye and Green Arrow, eventually going for the latter due to his green aesthetics and being clear Robin Hood Expies. Eventually, he decided to change and consider Taking instead as both are pretty huffy and abrasive, though do care for their friends and both had some kind of affinity for ghosts. Takuma and Decidueye decided to do some target practice rounds, which they had fun with, which eventually solidified their partnership and the two would often look out for one another.

Incineroar | Zangief

Connection: Incineroar loved wrestling. Then again, it was what he was best at, plus he always found fun in adopting the identity of a smug, arrogant jerk whenever he was in the ring. Then one day, he came face-to-face against Zangief, whereupon the two had an epic brawl that ended with Zangief winning. While looking as if he didn't take the loss well, he congratulated Zangief for giving him a good match. They would later pit against themselves several times, either professionally or just for fun. They were even surprised at the amount of techniques they had looked similar to one another. Eventually, they decided to form a partnership with one another, given that they clearly enjoy any kind of moment they have together, whether be simply hanging out or being in a wrestling match, either against each other or as tag partners.

Popplio | Azura

Connection: Popplio's greatest talent and favourite hobby was dancing, and often times, she would go to the House of Musicality to find good music to dance around on. During one of her days in the House, she came across Azura, who also commuted there to express her desires for dancing and singing, which she was awed for due to its healing abilities. The two met in the middle of a starry night near a lake where Popplio wanted to impress Azura with her dances. The Lady of the Lake found the Pokémon's enthusiasm endearing and stepped in to perform herself, which instantly lulled Popplio into amazement. Out of sheer excitement, she joined Azura for a dancing duet, with the former performing vocals. It was one of the happiest moments Popplio had, so much so that she volunteered to be Azura's Pokémon partner, which she accepted gracefully.

Wishiwashi | Jimmy Hopkins

Connection: Wishiwashi values one thing above all else; unity. And it also hates its school being threatened and bullied by others. As a result, the story of Jimmy Hopkins was something the Wishiwashi appreciated and decided to try partnering with him as a means of goodwill and becoming friends. Jimmy himself was impressed by the Wishiwashi school's loyalty towards one another and decided to let them accompany him every once in a while. Oh, and find some bullies and throw them into a pool for the Wishiwashi school to punish.

Lurantis | Yuri (Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V)

Connection: Yuri was strolling around the House of Plants one day when he saw a conspicuous looking plant sticking out on a bush. The plant moved and it was revealed to be a Lurantis who was startled by his presence. Yuri tried talking to her but she acted as if she is rebuffing him haughtily, like he doesn't live up to her standards. As she flawlessly swatted down some flies, Yuri had an idea; he summoned his Predaplants to show her that she would be right at home by his side and she is a Man-Eating Plant that looked like a mantis after all. Liking Yuri's style and eager for battle, Lurantis decided to become partners with him and it helps that both shared mutual allies and enemies.

Salazzle | Ahri

Connection: If there's something that Ahri is uncannily good at, it's charming people. She is notorious among the Champions of Runeterra for being able to charm anyone she desires, gender or species be damned. This obviously piqued the interest of Salazzle, whose powerful pheromones can attract a reverse harem of male Salandit, and if rumors are to be believed, are strong enough to even influence the minds of humans. Ahri herself was impressed by Salazzle's charming and as such she took the poisonous lizard under her wing.

Shiinotic | Titania

Connection: Both of them are of The Fair Folk. Shiinotic's bioluminescence was something useful for her court, but her main interest is keeping Shiinotic well-behaved and not causing problems. The mushroom is fine with this as she likes the company.

Bewear | Bear Hugger

Connection: Bear Hugger is known for two things; his proficiency for wrestling and bear-hugging his opponents and his genuine fondness for the wildlife. A Bewear happened to be his follower, that it until she herself ascended into the Pantheon and immediately volunteered into becoming Bear Hugger's partner in this new world. Proud of how she managed to make herself a name and reputation by being a deity, Bear Hugger accepted the partnership. They're often seen taking wrestling matches and wandering in the Houses of Beasts and Fauna and Nature from time to time.

Silvally | Gladion

Connection: When Gladion ascended into the Pantheon, Silvally followed, not long after, and was immediately quick in determining that his original partner will remain the same. Gladion is glad to see how loyal the Pokémon is willing to be and the two have since accompanied one another in their life in the Pantheon, learning and traveling to something new every once in a while. This earned the respect of many, particularly those in the House of Beasts and Fauna who are willing to call upon Gladion and Silvally whenever they need help. And they will reciprocate, in spite of their travelling nature.

Mimikyu | Koume Shirasaka

Connection: Ever since Koume heard of the Pokémon partnerships, she has dreamed of having her own Pokémon partner. More specifically, she'd really like to have a spooky Ghost-type Pokémon, as she loves anything related to the horror genre like ghosts, vampires, zombies, and blood. One night, she was wandering around an abandoned mall when she heard a rustling sound. Investigating the strange noise, she discovered what appeared to be a creature wearing a ragged costume resembling a Pikachu. Startled by her sudden presence, the Mimikyu flashed her eyes and unveiled her shadowy arms to intimidate her. To her surprise, this made Koume squeal in joy, as she was amazed by her horror-movie powers and appearance, and quickly hugged her. Mimikyu, not used to this display of affection, lay limp and confused, yet relieved in her arms. Koume, sensing Mimikyu's inner sadness, decided to be her partner and friend. The two are now an inseparable duo, with Koume showing Mimikyu all of her favourite horror movies and paraphernalia. Mimikyu is extremely happy that she finally found someone who loves her unconditionally.

Tapu Koko | Lilo & Stitch

Connection: Tapu Koko seems to be the most well known and popular of the Guardian Deities mainly because of how much it pays homage to the state of Hawaii. One of it's known fans in the Pantheon just so happened to be Lilo, who herself was of Hawaiian descent. Tapu Koko itself seemed to be more interested in Stitch upon first notice and was quickly attracted by his hyperactive and playful nature. Incidentally, this also extended to Lilo and as a result, Tapu Koko quickly started to visit them more often. To his delight, Lilo didn't mind if he could tag along second and this was what affirmed the Guardian Deity's partnership with them. And as playful as he can be with the two, Tapu Koko is also just as determined to look after and protect them.

Tapu Lele | Puck

Connection: The two met up when, incidentally, they were trying to play a prank in the House of Beasts and Fauna for their own giggles. At first, they struck a rivalry and decided to see how many can they prank. Over time, however, they began to respect each others' dedication in their hobby and figured that if they worked together instead of competing against one another, they can probably perform better and more elaborate pranks. That was how Puck was able to start his partnership with Tapu Lele. That said, while their bond is strong, they're not exactly popular for obvious reasons. Still, it's not going to deter Puck nor Tapu Lele from what they do best. Oh, and they'll be willing to fight for nature if the need comes.

Tapu Bulu | Reuben

Connection: Inspired by Tapu Koko's partnership and friendly bond with Lilo and Stitch, Tapu Bulu decided to seek out someone similar to Stitch, thinking that someone of his kind would make a potentially suitable ally. That's when he came across Reuben, who, like Tapu Bulu, seemed to have an affinity for a specific diet, in Reuben's case, sandwiches. He also found Reuben to be similar in the sense that they have a special quality to them, with Tapu Bulu being a fervent defender of the weak and Reuben being resourceful and powerful, but really slacking. That's what got the two to partner up, with the two of them using each other as a means of motivating themselves to humorous effect. Time will tell if it does fully pay off.

Tapu Fini | The Spring Sprite

Connection: The two of them took an immediate liking to one another, given that the Spring Sprite and Tapu Fini have an incredible healing range that can cure and negate damage in a massive scale. As a result, it only felt natural for them to team up, thinking that together, they can serve as overlookers and protectors of the House of Nature and oversee any sort of environmental threats and damages they can witness. Soon enough, they'll be developing a revered reputation for them, given that they have placed a large dedication and effort to their goal.

Nihilego | Arael

Connection: Upon hearing it Nihilego's ascension and hearing stories of how it was capable of inducing others into insanity via its neurotoxins Arael took an incredibly gleeful interest towards the Ultra Beast. To that end, it managed to make contact and strike an alliance where the two of them will seek to expand their influence and control. Naturally, this hasn't gone well with a lot of deities, including other Pokémon Partnerships and have vowed to stop the two from any costs. That said, Nihilego and Arael do enjoy each other's company quite a lot, seeing as they can't really relate to lot of the other deities and that they can share solace upon.

Buzzwole | Alex Louis Armstrong

Connection: Following the Rainbow Rocket Crisis, the Ultra Beasts were unleashed upon the Pantheon by Maleficent, sending them on a rampage. While Avatar Aang was able to calm several of their kind there were still a few that proved to be a challenge. Among them, the muscular Buzzwole. When the Avatar arrived to calm the anthropomorphic mosquito, he was surprised to discover the Strong Arm Alchemist, Alex Louis Armstrong, was already there, trading blows with the creature. Their battle was intense and went on for a few minutes. But all that changed when Armstrong flexed his muscles. In response, Buzzwole flexed back. The fight changed from a simple brawl to a flexing contest, each combatant trying to top the other. After a further minute, Buzzwole finally calmed down, allowing Aang to approach and speak with Armstong. The young Airbender explained that he was seeking appropriate allies for the Ultra Beasts and having seen the way the Major impressed Buzzwole, Aang decided to let him keep the Pokémon. Major Armstrong agreed to this arrangement and was made partners with Buzzwole. While the two can get into flexing matches on occasion, their power and teamwork have proven valuable, especially in aiding Roy Mustang in fighting King Bradley's High Command.

Pheromosa | Lust

Connection: If there was one thing that's notable about Phermosa, it's her absolute disdain from getting dirty. This caught the interest of Lust the Lascivious, who was inspired by Gluttony's partnership with Guzzlord and decided to fetch a partnership for herself. When they first met, Lust made quick precautions to not make any physical contact with Phermosa and decided to explain her own beauty, in addition to mingling a few words on how she keeps herself attractive and keeping clean. Her way of expressing these thoughts struck Phermosa quite profoundly and prompted the Ultra Beast into wanting to take some tips from her. This eventually allowed the Homonculus to lull her into her partnership, where, in a surprising departure from her callous nature, treats Phermosa with a degree of respect and camaraderie. Then again, she knows pretty well that she cannot afford to lose a potential ally and member of the High Command.

Xurkitree | Cole McGrath

Connection: Cole's affinity to electricity prompted him to explore and investigate a gigantic surge of electrical power the moment he sensed it. This led to Xurkitree's domain where the Conduit came face-to-face with the Ultra Beast. Though he readied himself for battle, he was surprised to see Xurkitree make no offensive stand against him. Additionally, the entire place was filled with sources of electricity, which Cole expected, but still surprised him, given that he didn't expect to see it this potent and expansive. They eventually became partners as the two took to conversing with one another and seeing that they can rely on one another in regards to providing a source of power to aid each other. This has proven effective, given that Cole is a hero who is doing his best to uphold his status as the Patron Saint of New Marais whereas Xurkitree can benefit with Cole's lightning powers when it comes to fellow beastly rivals like Zinogre, Lagiacrus and Rajang.

Celesteela | Sailor Moon

Connection: Both of them met when Usagi felt curious about Celesteela's domain and went to explore. The Ultra Beast itself took intrigue towards the Sailor Guardian and quickly got along thanks to their association towards the moon. By extension, Celesteela also became quick associates with the other Sailor Guardians who have made an effort to keep in tabs with the Ultra Beast, who made a partnership with Usagi rather quickly and they're making an effort to look after the cosmos for safeguarding and protection. That, and Usagi can make an effort to have fun with the Ultra Beast in her spare time.

Kartana | Kubo

Connection: In spite of Katarna's physical appearance being dangerous in general, it still managed to attract a lot of deities to its forest-like domain, particularly those of Japanese descent. One, in particular, was Kubo, who himself had an affinity for origami and paper. Impressed with his skill in those, Kartana opted to practice and work together with Kubo as a fellow partner, which he gladly accepted. They will often be seen in the House of Knowledge via the Infinite Library sorting out documents and archives to keep stories and information updated, in addition to them hanging out in general and protecting their friends.

Guzzlord | Gluttony

Connection: In the days following the Rainbow Rocket Crisis, the Ultra Beast known as Guzzlord was transported to outside the House of Dragons, where it went on a hunger-fuelled rampage. Avatar Aang and his friends were sent to quell and stop the monstrous Pokémon, but before they could calm it down, the homunculus known as Lust captured Guzzlord in a Beast Ball and escaped. She had keeping tabs on the Ultra Beasts on behalf of Father and the High Command and was sent to obtain a few to bolster the organization's numbers. After securing the asset, she decided to give the Junkivore Pokémon to her homunculus brother, Gluttony. The two initially were wary of each other but eventually, the two came to realize they actually had a few things in common. Mainly having massive appetites and enjoying eating things. From then on out, Guzzlord and Gluttony were tasked with being the High Command's muscle and cleanup crew, taking care of any evidence that needs disposing of. And much like Gluttony, Guzzlord is seen with Lust's partner Pheromosa.

Necrozma | Ezalor

Connection: Necrozma has a deep- hungry desire for light and, as a result, tends to be very irate and aggressive about it. This caught the attention of Ezalor, who thought that the Pokémon's dark appearance meant that it must be stopped. It came as a big surprise when Necrozma took whatever Ezalor used to attack him and ate it up, fulfilling its hunger and transitioning into its Ultra Burst form. As a result, Ezalor took to meeting Professor Kukui, who explained Necrozma and its biological needs and metabolism. He was given a Z-ring which would allow him to gain control of Necrozma's transformation. Thankful for what he had received, Ezalor was able to establish a bond and partnership with Necrozma and to look after it. It seems to have paid off as Necrozma has become a lot more amicable and reserved under Ezalor's presence and partnership, though it is willing to fiercely fight for him if need be.

Naganadel | Magellan

Connection: Magellan had been appointed by the Grand United Alliance of Law to safeguard the organization's prison system, but the task was much greater than anything he faced at Impel Down. He needed an assistant to keep the prisoners from escaping. That help came around when a strange, purple and silver creature arrived at the Alliance's HQ. It resembled a dragon mixed with a wasp, its stinger shooting out a powerful, adhesive poison. Magellan wasn't initially sure about how to deal with the creature and tried to fight it. However, a break-out soon started and the two put their toxic powers to good use. Once the break-out was contained, The GUAL decided to assign the Pokémon, Naganadel, to Magellan, making the two partners and co-wardens. Anyone who tries to escape will be met with a toxic fate. You've been warned.

Stakataka | The Monster House

Connection: One might think that a sentient structure possessed by a bitter human spirit owning a non-ghost Pokémon a bit off-putting. But somehow the Monster House managed to get the Ultra Beast, Stakataka, as a partner. How you may ask? Well in truth, it was Stakataka who partnered with the Monster House. The Rampart Pokémon had encountered the house by chance, nearly causing a battle between the two. Eventually, the living wall stopped when it heard the house weeping. The two "conversed" for a time and that was when Stakataka learned of her past as Constance Nebbercracker, and how she was lonely since her husband did not ascend with her. While she didn't ask for its pity, Stakataka decided to side with her, in the hope that could make her behave a little better... And to, you know, keep her from attacking and eating others in the Pantheon.

Blacephalon | Mr. Mxyzptlk

Connection: The two got along pretty well when they first met, particularly as Mr. Mxyzpltk's trickster antics were rather very amusing for Blacephalon. The Pokémon also attracted some intrigue for the fifth-dimensional imp and it's rather bizarre sense of morality was something that they found pretty relatable. As a result, Blacephalon goes to Mr. Mxyzpltk first above anyone else as it feels that the imp understands the Pokémon the most out of anyone that Blacephalon knows. Oh, and the imp finds its exploding abilities and tendencies pretty fun to watch.

    Galar

Cinderace | Tsubasa Ozora

Connection: Though it kicks around fireballs first and footballs second, Cinderace is definitely a lover of the sport. The rabbit's British (well, Galarian) and looks the part. So you better believe Cinderace sought out a true expert in the sport as their training partner. While Tsubasa Ozora refers to it as soccer, he is still the official god and a master at the game. Naturally, the two got along swimmingly.

Drednaw | Bender

Connection: Drednaw became aware of a common joke that was to "bite my shiny metal ass" and took it literally, taking a lunge at Bender as their very first interaction. Instead of the usual scorn and frustration at being ignored, Bender came to be amused about the Pokémon and decided to adopt it as Bender personally has a soft spot for turtles to the point where would risk his life it meant defending them from harm. That said, both of them are pretty rude and abrasive in nature which helped them in getting along, but it doesn't change the fact that their friendship is genuine and can potentially bring the best out of Bender and Drednaw.

Applin | Isaac Newton

Connection: Applin eventually found a home in Isaac Newton's apple tree, and ended up re-enacting his famousnote  "Eureka!" Moment by falling on his head in a failed attempt to learn Grav Apple before evolving. Newton tried to find the Doctor for bothering him a second time before noticing the apple was moving. He was interested in the worm and how the move Grav Apple was a clear nod to said "Eureka!" Moment, eventually deciding to adopt the Apple Core Pokémon as a pet and partner; even he gets lonely sometimes.

Pincurchin | Benjamin Franklin

Connection: The Pantheon's Pincurchin was notable in that unlike most of its kind, it instead possessed the Lightning Rod ability that allowed it to absorb electricity and convert it into Special Attack buffs. Despite being reclusive towards the Hall of Electricity, one deity took a fascination to the Pokémon, and that was Benjamin Franklin, who was well-regarded for his innovation for the actual Lightning Rod. Instead of being panicky about accidentally powering him up, Benjamin decided to build a personal aquarium for Pincurchin to take residence in. Every now and then, Benjamin will bring out his lightning rods for the Pokémon to interact and play with, establishing a healthy and enriching relationship between the two.

Dragapult | Spyro the Dragon

Connection: Dragapult spent a lot of time in the Pantheon familiarizing with the many dragons that resided there. One of those examples was simply known as the Sorceress and she disgusted the Pokémon because of the Sorceress's habit of clipping dragon infants' wings and sacrificing them and given that the Dragapult has a pair of Dreepy as her offspring, it was understandably unsettling. This led her to Spyro, who also had a fierce enmity against the Sorceress and the two decided to venture and stop the Sorceress from further harming dragon infants. After they succeeded, Dragapult decided to offer herself into Spyro's company, wanting to stick with him after seeing how good of a team they made. Spyro reciprocated, further increasing his list of friends.

Digimon Partnerships

A list of ascended Digimon who are partnered with other deities. As usual, this is also a database for how said Digimon and their partners met with one another struck an alliance based on familial or characteristic connections.

    Royal Knights
Omegamon | Jon Snow
Connection: After hearing about the stories and struggles of Jon Snow, Omegamon took a keen interest in the boy with the intent of meeting him. They met in rather extreme circumstances where Jon was attacked by Daenerys Targaryen, who wanted payback for him betraying her over Westeros. Omegamon took quick heed of what was going on and immediately darted off to the battle, themself being familiar with serving a wrong or inadequate master. Their arrival distracted Daenerys and saved Jon from the combined might of her Hydreigon and her native dragons Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion, where the fused knight would fight and defeat four powerful beasts and intimidate Daenerys and her dragons into retreating. Grateful for their aid, Jon bent to Omegamon out of gratitude and respect, whereupon Omegamon spoke highly of him and offered a partnership. Seeing as they were the best possible being he could have on his side regarding greater threats in the Pantheon, Daenerys included, Jon accepted.

Dukemon | Karin (Cries and Whispers)

Connection: Back when it was just Omegamon and Dukemon in the Pantheon, Dukemon was unexpectedly asked a favor from The Love That Moves The Stars. The Love had designs to ascend four women of its interest. Two of them were Agnes and Anna, who were easily reached due to their piety. The other two were Agnes' troubled sisters, Karin and Maria, who proved more difficult, but Agnes steadfastly refused deification if she couldn't share it with them, despite their poor relationship. So Dukemon was sent to their world to tell them everything and try to convince them. To not draw so much attention to himself, he was reduced to a Gigimon while there. There were the usual snags to their meeting, with the two sisters disbelieving the whole thing at first. But going into essentially another world was also a very enticing prospect, given their unhappy lives. It took some time for them to be fully convinced, but it happened and they all left for the Pantheon. That wasn't all, as Karin and Maria had to travel to the House of Life and Vitality to retrieve their dead sister themselves, as a sort of test from The Love That Moves The Stars. It wasn't too dangerous with Dukemon escorting them, though still quite an adventure. Either way, the sisters were reunited and although they still have a lot of relationship issues to go through, it's looking up for them. Dukemon decided to stay with them and protect them indefinitely, having bonded with Karin in particular, having met her first of all. A lot of deities puzzle over what he sees in her as she is not the most pleasant person and he is sometimes ribbed for picking someone so high-prestige. Dukemon claims that he likes her serious and focused mindset (a better fit for him than the flighty Maria), and that he believes she is a good person deep down and loves her sisters despite her claims to the contrary. Karin seems to appreciate this despite a visible reluctance to return his affection.

Magnamon | Akari Mizunashi

Connection: Magnamon came into contact with Akari by chance when the former was exploring the Pantheon for his own curiosity. The two engaged in a conversation where Akari mused whether Magnamon didn't think "it was all a miracle". While her phrase came off as inspiring and immediately made Magnamon appreciative of her, he had difficulty in trying to understand what Akari meant. As a result, he found himself going to her company a lot via Neo-Venezia, though his armour makes him pretty ineffective when it comes to floating in the water, much to his dismay. Regardless, Magnamon will seek to one day decipher what Akari truly meant and will look after and protect as much as providing her with company.

UlforceV-dramon | Freya Carlson

Connection: These two rays of sunshine came into contact thanks to the two sharing mutual friends via Papyrus and Lisbeth, with Papyrus, in particular, recommending the two of them to one day converse with one another. UlforceV-dramon took a liking to Freya due to her keeping a positive demeanour and good work ethic despite her clumsiness. He liked her to the extent that he would be a critic in her favour, often criticising those who made fun of her and that if no one wanted her as a partner, then he will instead. This caused two important events to occur for Freya; she was enlisted in the GUAG White Hats and she had the Decode ability which she can use to decypher encrypted data. This was what solidified UlforceV-dramon and Freya's partnership, with them serving as brawns and brain respectively, in addition to occasionally hanging out and having fun in their free days.

Craniumon | Ai Astin

Connection: Oddly enough, Craniumon didn't really give much of a thought in establishing a partnership. So it came as a surprise when he ended up forming an alliance with a 12-year-old girl. The Royal Knight and Ai first met when an assassination attempt on the latter was attempted by Nu-13 under orders from the Grand United Alliance of Destruction. Disgusted, Craniumon leapt into action as soon as he heard about the attempt and, while he successfully warded Nu-13 off, he sustained moderate injuries that rendered him weary and dazed. Thankful for his action, Ai decided to remain by his side and tend to his sounds. Though he was grateful for her, Craniumon wasn't interested in forming a partnership until he realized how the GUAD were dead-set on killing her off, which finally prompted the Royal Knight to establish a partnership, much to Ai's joy. He's always there for her protection, though he does admit that Ai has helped him in opening up and developing a more caring side.

LordKnightmon | Sarah Churchill

Connection: A case of "birds of a feather flocking together", LordKnightmon chose Sarah for his partner once she became a force to be reckoned with within the GUAG as its treasurer. LordKnightmon, despite being a member of the alliance, has never cared for the GUAG's ideals, finding them unrealistic, and so choosing a partner he could be happy with proved rather difficult for him. He wasn't very keen on the idea of a partner to begin with, but he wanted to follow Norn's wishes. That changed when Sarah caught his attention, with her ruthlessness, intelligence and pragmatism being highly appealing to the knight. Thus he formally introduced himself to her and requested that she accept his services as her knight, which Sarah did, as she had heard about the immense power of a Royal Knight and knew having a leash on one would be extremely beneficial to her position. Together, the two are THE Token Evil Teammates among the Royal Knights.

Examon | Yona

Connection: Examon unintentionally developed an enmity against Ripto and Acnologia due to Examon being the Dragon Emperor of the Digital World. As a result, they plotted an attack on the Digimon, who was caught off-guard and took a big beating. Thankfully, help came in the form of Princess Yona and her friends who took notice of the incident and repelled Ripto and Acnologia, with Examon quickly regaining momentum and swatting Ripto off when he tried to do a sneak attack on Yona. As a result, the two thanked each other and decided to keep company to one another. It helped in that Yona herself is the reincarnation of King Hiryu, who was a red dragon that came to love the human race and decided to remain on Earth. As a result, Examon came to see Yona as a worthy woman to have as a partner and ended up being one of her most stalwart warriors and friends.

Sleipmon | Anna (Frozen)

Connection: Sleipmon noticed an odd digital bridge that connected her domain with the land of Ahtohallan. She eventually began to investigate the area as much as she could and developed a sense of intrigue towards it. Eventually, she would stumble across Northuldra, where she would meet Anna and Elsa, who already had a partner in a Glaceon. Though Elsa, out of concern and not knowing of Sleipmon beforehand, stepped in on offence, the Royal Knight stated that she had no intent to harm and was more interested in overlooking the place. This pacified the sisters into eventually telling Sleipmon about the circumstances of Ahtohallan and Northuldra, which made Sleipmon determined to look after it. In time, she was welcomed into Anna and Elsa's social circle of friends, with the Royal Knight, in particular, taking a fond liking to the former due to her extroverted and accepting attitude to the extent that Sleipmon saw her as a partner before it was formally formed. She will do anything to protect Anna, Elsa, their friends and their home, but is more than welcome to engage in casual talk and an assortment of weird activities.

Gankoomon | Izumi Curtis

Connection: Gankoomon normally oversees Jesmon's training and learning, given that the two of them share a teacher-student relationship. He befriended Izumi when the two found out about their shared preference for giving out harsh training sessions in an effort to toughen up and improve their students. Out of curiosity, Gankoomon decided to enlist Jesmon and David Lightman into one of Izumi's sessions via sending them to an empty island, as she did with the Elric Brothers. Uncompromising and strict as it may be, the results were more than impressive on Gankoomon's part, to the point where his relationship with Izumi greatly improved and became partners shortly after. They've since developed a feared reputation as far as mentors go, with them thinking about putting the entire GUAG White Hats into their training regime if it means making them stronger and more capable of defending themselves.

Jesmon | David Lightman

Connection: Jesmon, while powerful in her own right, was normally acknowledged to be the least experienced of the Royal Knights as she ascended into the Pantheon as her Rookie form, Hackmon. Back in the early days, she was an experienced hacker in her own right, which is what led her to David, who was a Digimon fan himself ever since he entered the Pantheon. The fact that David was training to become a member of the GUAG White Hats was also something that Hackmon really appreciated which is what prompted her to meet up with him. They immediately became accustomed to one another and David was overjoyed when he was given the opportunity to become Hackmon's partner, which was signified by the materialization of a Digivice. The established bond between the two was strong enough for Hackmon to advance through the levels faster and into Jesmon. The two can relate with their naivety and curiosity but as a Royal Knight, she's taken up the responsibility of looking after David in critical times of need.

    Four Holy Beasts
Qinglongmon | Sam Flynn
Connection: The Four Holy Beasts are sought after by malevolent digital beings who seek to capture and harness their powers for their own ends. This came to a head when Baihumon was targeted by Clu, who had just twisted and shattered his mind. It was around this time that Qinglongmon came into contact with Sam Flynn, whereupon the two had a mutual goal of trying to stop Clu from taking more power. Out of necessity, they formed a partnership, given that the power provided by a fellow Holy Beast would certainly prove too much for them. This was cemented when the two managed to defeat Clu, whereupon Qinglongmon found itself tied to Sam's loyalty and aid and decided that it would like to remain a staunch ally and friend in need.

Zhuqiaomon | Miaka Yuuki

Connection: Maika had her own experience with the Four Gods,, which weren't exactly pleasant, though she did attend this particular quartet's company to see if they were much better than what she dealt with. The four of them expressed disappointment in the gods Maika fought against, though when she mentioned that Suzaku was the "God of Love", Zhuqiamon expressed itself humorously to her words, given that he represented Suzaku and Zhuqiamon was rather ill-tempered and was impressed by Maika's three wishes to save others, in spite of heavy temptation. He soon developed some form of affection for the girl, which solifldified their partnership. That said, Zhuqiamon doesn't tend to consider itself Maika's partner, but his protective nature of her and their friendly relationship says otherwise.

Baihumon | Sarasa

Connection: Seeing that Baihumon was rather lonely without a partner, Maika decided to bring along a fellow familiar friend, Sarasa into the mix and try to get the two of them to bond. Initially, Sarasa was nervous that she may not catch Baihumon's attention, but was proven wrong when word for out that she liberated her country. Impressed, Baihumon decided to challenge Sarasa to a duel, which she surprisingly accepted. However, what won the Digimon over was not an actual battle, but the level of commitment and camaraderie Sarasa displayed towards her army and their plans for combating a beast as formidable as Baihumon, whilst explaining that she really wouldn't be much on her own. This intrigued Baihumon and greatly admired her stance, deciding that she really was worth a partner after all.

Xuanwumon | Kevin Flynn

Connection: The two of them met in rather mundane circumstances and during the rescue raid conducted by Sam and Qinglongmon. The two of them happened to meet in the House of Machinery and Technology whereupon they realized they had a lot in common, namely that they have good intentions, but didn't handle things the right, which Kevin angsted about for a number of years. Xuanwumon offered its condolences and offered to be of company for Kevin, which he accepted. It helped that as a Digimon, Xuanwumon is tied to the House of Technology to an extent, so his presence allows easy access for Kevin to visit his partner's domain, where he would spend a good chunk of his time meditating at one of branches of Xuanwumon's trees.

    Miscellaneous
HerakleKabuterimon | Sig
Connection: HerakleKabuterimon's ascension was a rather dynamic one. It happened when a serene day in the Hall of Insects suddenly turned upside-down when the generally benevolent Mothra Leo suddenly went berserk and started attacking everything in its vicinity due to Enter spreading Millenniumon's Dark Spores onto the giant moth, corrupting him. Two humans, Sig and Ken Ichijouji bore witness and tried to quell the attack alongside the latter's Stingmon. In desperation, Sig used a computer to send an SOS to the Digital World, which alerted a HerakleKabuterimon into notice. It immediately arrived and engaged in an epic battle against Mothra Leo until Ken's friends arrived to finally put a stop and contain Mothra Leo for the time being. The valiant effort of HerakeKabuterimon was enough to have him become a member of the Pantheon, alongside Sig being appointed his partner. Sig was happy to oblige being a good friend to the giant beetle and would oftentimes be playing together, usually with HerakleKabuterimon de-digivolving into Tentamon during these occasions.

Beelzemon | Jax Teller

Connection: Jax received probation from the Court of the Gods and while he was permitted to roam the Pantheon, he was to be monitored in case he was involved in any criminal activity, only possessing a gun in cases of personal protection. During a motorcycle ride at a dusty field, Jax passed through an unusually large bike ridden by a large humanoid figure. This caught the attention of both of them, whereupon Jax confronted the figure, who revealed himself to be the Digimon, Beelzemon. The latter asked what made him interested in confronting him, to which Jax replied that he simply caught his curiosity, which Beelzemon smirked in response. Jax did compliment Beelzemon's bike and the fact that he looks "rad" before offering him a smoke, which Beelzemon declined, though respected the gesture. The two them spoke about each other, whereupon they realized they had a lot of similarities than just their visual aesthetics and came to see each other as relatable figures. It was here that Jax was able to secure a formal partnership with the Lord of Gluttony, which Beelzemon agreed on. It was nice to have a partner that can understand how it felt to lament on past actions and atoning himself. They'll often meet up and hang out, with Beelzemon being more than willing to stand up and fight for Jax when the need comes, a gesture which the Courts decided to approve upon.

Lucemon | Darkseid

Connection: The two met when Lucemon was ascended into the Pantheon, upon having a long and deep conversation they came to the realization that they shared quite a lot in common with each other, given their similar goal of subjugating free will and rebellion of all other living beings, who they see as inferior to themselves. Afterwards, they were quick to strike up a partnership, with Lucemon refusing to be anyone else's partner and happily declaring his assistance to Darkseid from the day they partnered up forth.

Renamon | Lisbeth Salander

Connection: During her early days in the Pantheon, Renamon took a particular interest in Lisbeth, often watching her from a distance. The Digimon felt obligated to look after her as she found out that while Lisbeth is antisocial at times, she does have good intentions and fights for the weak. Their first proper interaction came when Lisbeth was suddenly attacked by the Kecleon Brothers and a swarm of their brethren who wanted payback for an earlier stint where she cut off power from the House of Commerce as a warning sign to the more corrupt members and she happened to have shoplifted the Kecleon Brothers during the whole ordeal. Luckily, Renamon arrived in time to repel the attack, driving the brothers away when she digivolved into Kyubimon and turned the battle in her favor. This was when Lisbeth realized that there had been a figure who was watching her all along and although she seemed aloof, she began to appreciate Renamon's efforts in protecting her and accepting the Digimon as a partner when need be.

Culumon/Calumon | Yui (Sword Art Online)

Connection: Culumon was chased by Love Machine almost the second it accidentally stepped into the Pantheon, but luckily Kirito and Asuna were passing by and saved Culumon. While staying with the Kirigayas, Culumon came to bond with their adopted daughter Yui, who eventually asked if they could keep Culumon, which Kirito and Asuna acquiesced to after making sure Yui knew what a big responsibility it was. Yui and Culumon are distinct from other Digimon partnerships for not having a Digivice, and also because Yui is generally the one who protects Culumon instead of the other way around.

Shoutmon | Yusuke "Bossun" Fujisaki (Sket Dan)

Connection: In one particular day, the GUAE Trollkaiger decided that would be amusing if they stole Shoutmon's mic, knowing full well it would utterly demoralize the Digimon into catatonic submission, which they did. After numerous Digimon had tried and failed to help him out, Jesmon decided to call upon the Sket Dan gang to help him out. Nothing was proving effective until Bossun landed a punch and told him to start looking for his mic. This was enough to to get Shoutmon out of his catatonic state, after which Jesmon intimidated the Trollkaiger into revealing that they dropped the mic somewhere at the House of Musicality. It was found by Yui Hirasawa of K-On, who used it for her band performances to bizarre and loud results. After finding out about it, she wasted no time in rushing and greeting Shoutmon, giving back his mic. Thankful and inspired by the efforts made by Sket Dan, Bossun and the Digimon decided to become partners from now on, in addition to Bossun wanting to get a fellow helper into solving cases together and Himeko and Switch also being given Digimon partners in Dorulumon and Ballistamon respectively.

Catherine the Numemon | Emilie "Lili" Rochefort

Connection In one world, a Numemon named Catherine became partners with Lili, of Tekken fame. The badassery must have rubbed off on Catherine, as she managed to evolve into a Monzaemon, and then into a Lilithmon. This has made Catherine into something of an icon and point of pride within the community (especially as Lili is hot in their opinion). Lili has no problem with acknowledging any of this, regardless of Numemon's infamy, and happily fights alongside Catherine against other deities with Digimon of their own, be it for recreation or for real.

Millenniumon | Radical Ed

Connection: Radical Ed trapped Millenniumon in her laptop thanks to her considerable skills, in order to prevent the extremely powerful mon from running amok. Millenniumon hated this at first, but grew oddly fond of Radical Ed as time went by, resulting in a partnership forming.

Diaboromon | Teseo of the Seven

Connection: Teseo was surfing around the internet one day until he manages to catch a sight of an unusual virus that was spreading around his computer. Out of frustration, he tried to remove it, though that later turned into utmost curiosity when he checked to see what it was first. Stunned at first, he became very intrigued to learn that the source came from a spider-like being, namely the Digimon, Diaboromon. Rather than taking it down, Teseo decided to track its location web-by-web until Diaboromon noticed and made contact. Rather than malice, it displayed a feeling of awe and acknowledgement in that a human would pay this much interest. Teseo decided that he wanted the Digimon to be his partner, even writing it down on a document to get the point across. Diaboromon reciprocated with glee, and what followed by a feared internet duo who would troll others and cause random mischiefs for the hell of it. It's only a matter of time before something truly malicious surfaces...

Others

A list of ascended Mons from other franchises who are partnered with other deities. As usual, this is also a database for how they and their partners met with one another struck an alliance based on familial or characteristic connections.

    Temtem
Platypet | Wade Ripple
Connection: One day, Platypet wandered into Wade's temple and started playing with the inflatable chair he keeps around for Ember's benefit. At first, Wade considered throwing him out before Ember got back, but he was quickly won over by Platypet's cuteness and easy-going personality. The next time Wade saw Ember, he begged her to let him keep them, and she didn't have the heart to say no. Then, a Temcard appeared in Wade's hand; he didn't know what it was, so Platypet motioned for Wade to throw it at him. Platypet was captured and became Wade's partner.

    Yo-Kai Watch
Jibanyan | Sakura Minamoto
Connection: Sakura Minamoto was running late to a rehersal, and in her hurry she crossed the street at a red light at the same time an absent-minded truck driver rolled down the street. Before she could get run over, Jibanyan tackled her out of the way, taking the brunt of the impact instead. When Sakura regained her balance, she looked to see the nekomata lying limply on the pavement, then she picked him up and carried him to the sidewalk. When Jibanyan came to his senses, he bragged about saving her life from that awful truck, only for her to note that as a zombie, she wouldn't be able to die from that. Still, them being undead beings whose mortal lives were ended by trucks made Jibanyan decide to give Sakura his Yo-Kai Medal so that she'd be able to call him anytime, especially if there's any truck related problems she's having. Sakura, on her part, is happy to make a new friend.
