    In General
  • Luz Noceda has a Quirk? Cool! Her Quirk is All For One? Bad. She has All For One's spirit living inside her mind? Really bad. A Supervillain crime lord and remorseless killer, he had been terrorizing Japan in his world for over a century, and now resides in the head of The Hero. To make it worse, he can be charming and makes valid points that makes her believe he's not completely vile when he's really a Jerk with a Heart of Jerk in the worst way possible.
  • The life of a superhuman in All For Luz can be nightmarish in itself. Manifesting powers at random and being possibly betrayed by your own families (i.e. the case with Julia and her parents) and have people like Wittebanes and their followers that deem you children of the devil to be eradicated out of Fantastic Racism. Not to mention the less fantastic bigotry towards minority groups thanks to the Wittebanes.
  • Luz Noceda. She might not be as powerful as Shigaraki was when he was in his prime, yet, but her Power Parasite Quirk has practically unlimited potential after the Mass Super-Empowering Event, and her attacks can crush and vaporize people. As the story progresses she finds It Gets Easier when comes to killing her enemies, something that canon Luz would never do or even consider. At best she's a dark Anti-Hero forced to do what she must to survive, at worst she's a violent Villain Protagonist that the readers can still sympathize with.

Season 1 - Summer Camp Saga

Arc 1 - The "Not-So-Dull" Summer Camp

    Chapter 1
  • The beginning of the story starts with All Might putting down All For One. Their Final Battle is a Pyrrhic Victory for the Symbol of Peace as even though managed to kill the Big Bad, not only does he receive is canon injury but a whole city was destroyed in the process with numerous innocent bystanders killed in the crossfire. Not to mention All For One's Last Words were that he had a plan to come back from the dead, almost as if he knows what's going to happen next in the story before All Might crushes his skull.
  • A mild one is where Luz wakes up and finds little holes in her palms that she can fit one of her fingers through. While Luz is fascinated by it, when she shows them to her mother, Camila is understandably alarmed and immediately takes her to a doctor, where other kids her age have emerged with superpowers. The hospital confirms Luz is fine, but its quite a shock for any parent.
  • At the end of the chapter, some mysterious figures are plotting something for Reality Check Camp involving the new superhuman children. It can't be good.

    Chapter 2
  • Before Luz heads off to camp she recalls the last conversation she had with her mother. Drunk and stressed out Camila reveals herself to be a Resentful Guardian towards her daughter nearly hits her with a wine bottle, scaring the poor girl. The next morning Luz has changed her mind about not wanting to go to Summer Camp and has even considered running away from home to get away from her mother if that happens again. This can hit close to home to those that have an Alcoholic Parent.
  • The chapter introduces Julia Wittebane, a 14 year-old girl who has just been disowned by her parents on her birthday for gaining superpowers and was even physically assaulted by her own father, much to Pastor Domenico's shock and disgust.

    Chapter 3
  • In this chapter, Governor Maxwell threats Counsellor Johnson's family to get him to comply with handing over the teenaged superhumans. All except Masha, his own child.
  • While asleep Luz has a weird dream and hears a voice speaking in Japanese. All For One is trying to make contact with his successor.
  • Rodger Maxwell, the governor of Luz's State, has her and 32 other superhuman kids going to Reality Check Summer Camp kidnapped and has has the Quirkless kids and the camp scout lady killed to Leave No Witnesses with a Boom, Headshot! approach in front of a horrified Luz before she's knocked out and taken captive by the army.
  • Camila finds out from Pastor Domenico that an incident occurred with the Reality Check Camp bus where several kids were gunned to death and many more are missing, including Luz. This is a parent's nightmare, as its not confirmed yet if Luz is one of the bodies or the hostages.
  • When Luz and the others wake up, they discover that they've been put in a Deadly Game, where as far as anyone could tell, is supported by the U.S. government. They're essentially forcing children to murder each other, on the pretenses of turning the survivors into Super Soldiers, under the threat of being gunned down if they try to escape with their families and loved ones that sent them to a normal summer camp none the wiser.

    Chapter 4
  • Rodger Maxwell also adds an incentive of a cash prize of $1.1 Billion, given a free pass to use their power whenever they want in public of Connecticut, and the promise that any crimes the kids commit in the Death Game will be swept under the rug, playing to their Greed. Luz is especially alarmed for, as far as she could tell, everyone else in the room had stronger, better powers than her.
Luz: This isn't a game…. This is murder with extra steps!
  • The Governor also demonstrates to be a Bad Boss, too. When one the soldiers shoots off a bit early, he pulls out a revolver and gives him a Boom, Headshot! for that. When Sergeant Dempsey protests that this Death Camp was Not What I Signed on For and tries to take him out, one of the other soldiers that was on board with the Governor's plans puts a bullet in his brain. Maxwell barely bats an despite him being a former friend.
  • When Luz's team reach their Home Base, Private Daniels pushes his way past them to leave. After he bumps into Judy, she uses her shadow to make him fall half-way through before turning him into Half the Man He Used to Be and steals his gun, to the shock of Luz and the rest of the team. The soldier might have been an Asshole Victim, but disproportionate, much?
  • When Luz first meets All For One in her sleep, she finds herself in a dark void with nothing but a fireplace and two red leather chairs, with him waiting for her stating he knows who she is despite the two having never met before, noting he gave her Creepy Uncle vibes (Ironically that's one the few crimes he's NOT guilty of). There’s no way Luz is ready to have that Manipulative Bastard in her mind.

Arc 2 - Search and Steal

    Chapter 5
  • Shigaraki explains to Luz that their Quirk allows them to steal other Quirks, rendering their victims powerless while increasing their own power, something that Luz is aghast to do.
    • All For One has been to The Boiling Isles before and intends to find a way to get there. Its also heavily implied the Titan's Blood he got his hands on came from King and caused the poor guy great harm to extract it before Eda rescued him from that monster when they ended up in the MHA world.
    • Another big reveal. His death caused the Mass Super-Empowering Event to happen in Luz's world when his soul was put in her body! He's directly responsible (albeit unintentionally) for all the death and misery in the story on a global scale. He even notes its more advanced than the one that happened in his world, with more people, a 5 digit figure, having Quirks and the powers being much more powerful like in current timeline MHA. Far from having a My God, What Have I Done? moment, true to form, the Card-Carrying Villain sees this as a Let No Crisis Go to Waste opportunity.
  • According to Pastor Domenico, there were Quirk users in Gravesfield before the Mass Super-Empowering Event, but all but one were killed off by the Witch Hunter Association led by Tyler Wittebane. Its also implied that the Wittebanes are using their influence to mitigate media coverage on the missing superhuman kids.

    Chapter 6
  • If Luz ever falls asleep, then All For One would be there, waiting to speak to her. Luz compares it to like A Nightmare on Elm Street situation, just without the threat of dying... yet.
    • Even when she's wake, he can still talk to her while causing her headaches.
  • Luz recalls a time when she was so enraged by Amber disrespecting her dead father that she actually brought a knife to school with the intention of stabbing her, only to change her mind at the last second and not get caught by the school policeman. For those who know people who have been driven to violence by bullying, this idea can strike too close to home.

    Chapter 7
  • The Governor reminisces on the previous Death Camp, he created with Tyler Wittebane 20 years ago, where the Sole Survivor (other than Arla's then-pregnant mother) ended up becoming the latter's personal assassin.
    • Its also heavily implied that The Governor is Arla's biological father, one of the kidnapped kids, who's mother was only 14-years old at the time of her conception, the same age as Luz.
  • Luz realises The Governor doesn’t plan to give any of the money he promised away…. The moment the Death Game is finished, he’s either going to forcibly recruit the teenagers into the military as super-powered Child Soldiers or Leave No Survivors.
    • There's also hints that Luz's Quirk (or even All For One's spirit itself) is slowly corrupting her. Especially this part:
Narrator: And while she didn’t realize it, a smirk came across her face. A small, toothy grin, as only one poisonous thought, filled her mind.
Luz: Once this is over… The Governor is going to pay for this with his life.
  • When Luz takes Julia's Quirk at her request in the chapter, it's described in detail how painful it is. Afterwards she's so grateful that she acts as Luz's first official cult member. If that wasn't bad enough, The Governor finds out about Luz's Quirk from his Sinister Surveillance camera.

    Chapter 8
  • Masha tries to help Camila put her mind at ease by using her Tarot Card Quirk to find out about Luz's fate. They foresee a Bad Future where its implied that Luz snaps and kills a lot of people at the Death Camp with a Psychotic Smirk from the perspective of one of her victims. Then, the teen sees another vision where Luz is a massive fight in Gravesfield causing untold death and destruction before the bystander gets killed in the crossfire. After the vision is over, Masha is left covered in sweat, shaking with Tears of Fear telling Camila that Luz is The Antichrist and should abandon her daughter for her own safety. Masha then returns Camila her money back and decides to pull a Screw This, I'm Outta Here on Gravesfield.
    • Also You Can't Fight Fate is very much play here, fighting last time caused Masha a literal heart attack. Not only is Julia's death and Luz's rampage guaranteed, but Gravesfield would be no more within just a few months.
  • All For One also claims that their Quirk gives the bearer an inherent addiction to stealing Quirks even if means hurting others and the risk of killing them via brain damage (something she didn't know about until after she used it), but Luz has no idea if he's outright lying to encourage her to start gaining Quirks or actually telling the truth.
  • Luz learns after taking Julia's power, that one other side-effect of her Quirk-stealing ability is that she also gains black, shadowy vestiges shaped like the original holders in her Mental World, that include echoes of their personalities. These are incomplete so long as the person Luz stole the Quirk from is still alive. Both she and even Shigaraki are unnerved by their existence.
  • A horrified Luz gets a glimpse into the past of All For One and his brother, during the chaotic time in the 1950s-60s when Quirks were first appearing and where rape, murder, and drug abuse were running rampant. All For One played the part of a hero since he was just 13-years old: bringing order to the chaos, taking power away from those who abused it or didn’t want it to one day overthrow the Japanese government, which he did in 1991. However, he didn’t bother to stop the bloodshed that ensued when the victims turned on their now powerless attackers, who were forced to join him if they wanted to live, or that he gave the victims Quirks to fight back. All he cared about was gaining loyal followers who would do whatever he wanted, something only his brother could see and was powerless to stop. Everyone else revered him and did whatever they thought he wanted.
Luz: You… what the fuck is wrong with you?!
  • As Luz rejects All For One's "Not So Different" Remark before waking up, the villain isn't left left angry or disappointed but still smiling, seeing his Corrupt the Cutie scheme as a fun challenge here.
    He had entertainment.

    Chapter 9
  • In this chapter, it reveals that not only is The Governor's Death Camp wasn't sanctioned by the government at all, and he's running it illegally out of fear and Fantastic Racism, he's set it up before 12 years ago with Tyler with only one Sole Survivor from it. He also plans to make Luz take all of the powers of those in Connecticut while contained in the forest, before then bombing the area with Luz inside.

    Chapter 10
  • In the second half of chapter 10, part of Luz's team gets massacred at their base by the other 2 teams, the Heaven’s Devils and Foxtrot, working together, 21 against 6. It starts, without so much as a warning, with one of lookouts on top of the team base's wall getting shot through the heart with an ice shard. If that didn't kill him, the fall from the wall certainly did, right front of his team.

Arc 3 - The Hunt Begins

    Chapter 11
  • A now awake Luz rushes to find her unaccounted teammates after noticing a giant plume of smoke in the direction of their Home Base. She is greeted by a grisly scene of scattered bodies, some with no heads, 2 cases of Torso with a View, and a corpse burned to a crisp. It didn't take long for her to realise that her new friends didn't die peacefully.
    Blood…. There was so… much… blood.
  • When Luz is having a guilt-fuelled breakdown after discovering the slaughter of her new friends, All For One encourages her to Pay Evil unto Evil with The Power of Hate to avenge them (heavily implying that he can and is influencing her emotions somehow)... an idea that she finds appealing, as she takes the Quirks from her fallen comrades.
Shigaraki: Yes! Noceda, feed your anger! Feed your rage! Allow it to overcome you! Allow your emotions to take center stage! Find those who killed your friends, and do unto them that which they did to you!
  • Luz, the Leader of the Alpha Squadron, was prepared to wait for over 48 hours with little sleep in-between and forgoing food and water for the killers to return to the scene of the crime. The constant Slasher Smile she has during the time is unsettling, suggesting a personality leak from Shigaraki to Luz.
  • Luz's very first kill. A large boy that seemed conflicted about killing the girl on Kennedy's orders. His indecisiveness would cost him dearly, as Luz uses her new Vibration Manipulation Quirk to make his heart explode. After absorbing his Super-Strength Quirk, she gains Shigaraki's red eyes and gives a Psychotic Smirk to the now terrified teenaged killers.

    Chapter 12
  • Throughout the chapter, the "fight" between Luz and the 2 others is very one-sided in former's favor with only one escaping with her life, and only because Luz let her. Its no wonder it would called "The Massacre Of Fools" as was foreshadowed in chapter 10, it's the bloodiest chapter so far. It's later compared in a later chapter to one of the worst acts of domestic terrorism in US history since the Columbine Massacre.
To call what happened next a “battle” would be like calling the initial beginnings of D-Day to be a siege.
  • Luz's next kill is a boy that tries to pull a Leeroy Jenkins with a Triple Impact Quirk... not knowing of her new Shock Absorption Quirk that allows her to No-Sell the attack. She then proceeds to tear out his heart and crush before taking his Quirk in front of his terrified accomplices, only mildly grossed out before taunting them like a Giggling Villain.
  • After crushing the skulls of one of her kills, Luz casually sets the corpse on fire as her starts to turn white. Kennedy notes the way she talks no longer sounded like that of Luz’s, but rather, of someone—no… of something else’s.
Luz: The moment you came here and needlessly slaughtered my friends… Your powers… (Red Eyes, Take Warning) Your lives… they became forfeit.
  • The girl that killed Julia tries to kill Luz the same way she killed her friend with Impaled with Extreme Prejudice via Absurdly Sharp Claws. However, Luz powers through it with her Heal Thyself Quirk and using Julia's Vines to break the killer's wrist and using the Flame Quirk in conjunction to burn her badly. The Evil Red Head tries to flee but Luz catches her and proceeds to use her new power to skewer her next target.
  • Nearly all of Luz's kills involve Head Crushing with her Super-Strength, quick but brutal ends. This becomes more jarring as Luz finds It Gets Easier when comes to killing the point with a Slasher Smile she enjoys the act of taking their lives. As Luz hunts down the rest of them, stops becoming Killing in Self-Defense to borderline spree killing as they're no longer going after her but running and begging for their lives. It's as if Luz the Genki Girl we know and love in the show has been replaced by a psychotic killer.
Catch, kill, steal, repeat. Ignore their pain, ignore their suffering. It was not worth her time to hear it. They brought this unto themselves. She knew it, they knew it, so why bother trying to change it? This was their fate, to die by her hand, and she was damn well gonna follow through with it. No more begging, no more pleading, none of it. This was her playground, and everyone else was fodder.
  • During her Roaring Rampage of Revenge, Luz appears to be Talking to Themself: One is a more rational side of herself screaming at her to stop her killing spree and pull a Screw This, I'm Outta Here and the other is a louder, angrier side wanting Revenge having No Sympathy for her victims. In the end, the latter one wins out, even going as far as to blame Camila for situation she's in.
  • According to Word of God, when they mean All For One takes over Luz, they mean The Quirk, not the vestige, as it is stated with canon MHA that Quirks can sometimes have personalities of their own depending on how powerful they are and how they can also influence a person’s persona; making it more like Toga and her Transform Quirk warping her views on life and love rather than Shigaraki pulling a Demonic Possession on her.
  • Not only can she use the Quirks she's stolen for herself but Luz can actually combine them that Shigaraki can, allowing her to do some rather horrific stuff: while killing Kennedy and ignoring his pleas for mercy, she combines no less than seven different Quirks to turn her arm into a gigantic monstrosity made up of blades, hypertrophied muscles and wrapped in thorny vines. This attack completely destroys the boy's head. All of this while she's nowhere near her full potential, meaning that she can be even MORE dangerous than that in the future! Hell, this move is similar to the attack All For One used against All Might in their Final Battle, giving an eerie feeling that our All-Loving Hero will turn into a Villain Protagonist.
  • Luz has at this point gained immense strength and power of 28 Quirks but this amount is more than her body is capable of handling. Its earlier foreshadowed before she kills her last victim as her body writhed in pain and spews Blood from the Mouth as blood leaks out of her head. As she starts to fight some soldiers suddenly a gory stream appears over her diagonally chest. Fortunately for Luz, she has a strong enough Healing Factor to survive and the soldiers that arrived are there to rescue her.
As she went to use the power, however, for a split second, her body writhed in pain.

    Chapter 13
  • Luz finds herself back in her Mental World with Shigaraki and finds cages full of vestiges of the enemy Quirk users she just killed. They are described as looking like in pain, wanting to be let out, and afraid of the disturbed girl.
They simply sat in the cages, peering out from the bars, their misshapen hands gripping the frames of the cells as their deep, soulless white eyes were all trained on her, and her alone.
  • According Shigaraki and the doctor performing surgery on her, Luz almost became Half the Man He Used to Be due to the blowback from having too many Quirks, only held together by a few threads of muscle and skin. With her heart split apart, the poor girl only survived due to her incredible Healing Factor Quirk but will leave a nasty scar behind.
  • Luz acknowledges she killed 20 kids her own after stealing most of their Quirks but she can't bring herself to feel real remorse at her actions, despite recognising her actions as terrible and trying to feel something. Instead she feels No Sympathy for towards her victims and justifying her actions as Pay Evil unto Evil (Which there is truth to). This realisation scares Luz that she's becoming more like Shigaraki who encourages her to not feel remorse for it.
So if what she did was bad… why didn't she feel bad about doing it? She committed a crime, one of the worst kinds, murder, and she felt nothing for doing it.
  • She is also concerned that she made The Governor's job easier, would acquitted of all of his charges, return to his job, and it would all be swept under the rug, and be played off as a rumour that never happened, due to his political power and riches. Truth in Television that many like Maxwell do get away with shit like this.
    • Shigaraki has tasked Luz with getting One For All which may exist in the Boiling Isles. The girl has no idea how significant this is.
  • Not long after she wakes up from her coma, Luz has a panic attack after having flashbacks of all the horrible things she witnessed at the Death Camp. This occurs in front of her distressed mother as she is hurried out of her hospital by the doctors trying to sedate her.
  • Poor Camila is told by one of the doctors what happened at the Summer Camp orchestrated by her state's governor as a case of Children Forced to Kill, with her daughter having the highest body count and gaining serve PTSD from the experience. A mother's nightmare.
  • Julia's funeral was a closed casket, for obvious reasons. In fact, it's later revealed that not all the dead kids came back in body bags, but urns because the condition of their bodies was so severe that it wouldn’t have been right to show the parents that.
  • According to the pastor Luz meets at the funeral, the Wittebanes are trying to get all the families in Gravesfield who were once families of The Witch Hunters to go after the children who have superpowers, proving themselves to just as bad as their ancestor, Phillip. If that wasn't bad enough, they knew what the Governor was planning (possibly helping him) with the summer camp, effectively sending their daughter to her death.
    • Luz is so disgusted and appalled by the Wittebanes' plans that she vows to stop them even if it means killing people again.

Season 2 - Hunt for the Wittebanes Saga

Arc 4 - Summer Break Shenanigans

    Chapter 14
  • One of Luz's former bullies tries to have a go at her at a Donut Shop, only for the All For One user to inflict enough pain in her shoulder for her to scream and threaten to do worse if she doesn't leave her alone. As awesome as it is in The Dog Bites Back fashion, it's a reminder that this Luz has fewer quarrels resorting to violence a hell of a lot more than her show's counterpart, and according to her, Shigaraki wasn't to blame as they hadn't spoken to each other in a 2-month time gap.
  • Luz recalls a time when she went as far as to punch a cop into a telephone pole for making a racist remark about her mother. She's lucky the police officer decided not to press charges, due to her age.
  • In the second half of the chapter, a pair of bank robbers kidnapped a teenager while escaping the police because They Know Too Much. They had no quarrels about shooting Luz, an even younger girl, at point-blank range with a shotgun when she pulled a Big Damn Heroes. Good thing her Shock Absorption could tank that.

    Chapter 15
  • At the beginning of the chapter, Gravesfield's sheriff goes into detail about stories of power-hungry children attacking people on the street and using their powers to go full Supervillain.
    • The first example, the 3rd day of the Mass Super-Empowering Event, had a kid from California with the power to continuously gain kinetic energy and build it up in his body to blow up his school in an unprovoked attack, killing 100s of people before being gunned down by the cops.
    • The second case, 4 days later, in Houston, Texas a 17-year-old girl with Magneto powers attacked a mall to steal every video game console and T.V. in the store. The police handled the situation was described as downright horrendous, it devolved into a shoot-out with the kid in a matter of moments because one of them was too trigger-happy with the kid retaliating by using cars as bullets. The resulting onslaught ended with 90% of the backup police dead before the Cop Killer was arrested. They now have to figure out how to contain her in a Tailor-Made Prison.
    • There are reports in the UK and Japan recording recorded high numbers of killings due to battles in the streets with kids who had powers to level whole cities, aged from 7 to just under 18. No wonder powers are now being registered as deadly weapons.
    • In another case, the president of China, the militarized police, and the entirety of the CCP were all killed by kid with a stressed based Quirk after they tried to crack down on people with Quirks, leaving the country in disarray with the possibility of the country collapsing into anarchy.
    • All these cases are fuelling the third wave of The Satanic Panic in the U.S. with Far Right-leaning mega-churches declaring that children with superpowers were “demons that had replaced our children”, under the guise of their right to "free speech". The worst peddlers of this Fantastic Racism is the mega church run by the Wittebanes in Gravesfield.
  • The Sheriff in question, unable to arrest her for no reason, intends to make Luz's life as difficult as possible, blaming her for his nephew's death at the summer camp (who she might not even be responsible for) and viewing her as a Serial Killer that pulled a Karma Houdini. He has bribed store owners, gyms, day-cares, libraries, restaurants, and even the schools (including online ones) to ban her from their shops spreading rumours that she was a crazy murderer. It's a mundane but realistic scenario that a lawman would abuse his position of power out of a personal vendetta against you until you decide to pull a Screw This, I'm Outta Here, with Camila not able to do much about it.
  • Riley Stewardson, Luz's cousin from her father's side, had the power to turn anything she touched with her bare hands into bombs. This includes people, as she found out while having a fight with her father and lost her right eye because of the explosion. Her face was only saved by her brother who has a healing spit Quirk. She was then kicked out of her house by her mother Accidental Murder of her husband not believing he abused her.
    • After that Riley was taken in by The Wittebane Mega Church, but they didn't save her from homelessness out of a Pet the Dog moment, instead there's the catch of turning her into their personal assassin. She didn't see any other option than destitute or ending up dead in a ditch by the Church Militants.
    • Despite their outward bigotry, the Wittebanes have trained, secret Child Soldier, assassins to kill oppositions that The Wittebane Mega Church wanted dead. Their main target is All For One for $10 million, which unbeknownst to Riley is her little cousin, Luz.
  • Millie Ravenclaw, one of Riley's assassin friends (possibly a witch), lets her know the Dirty Cop sheriff plans to bribe some crooks to draw out All For One the next day at supermarket and they plan to take advantage of it. Riley notes with all the Brainwashed church members and now morally bankrupt, corrupt police in Gravesfield she'd pull a Screw This, I'm Outta Here if weren't for her job.

    Chapter 16
  • In the beginning of the chapter, it focuses on All For One and his Evil Plan involving Luz. His death at All Might's hands hasn't caused him to have a Heel Realization or decide to become a Retired Monster while helping his Quirk's successor as an Evil Mentor. Oh no. He sees it as just a setback.
  • Despite seemingly agreeing with Luz that the Quirk vestiges are creepy he enjoys the sounds of their painful moans, believing they deserve to be condemned to eternal enslavement for standing up to the collective power that was All For One.
  • The Sadist also admits the “addiction” was really him influencing her in a More than Mind Control kinda way. It makes you wonder if Luz really is responsible for her actions back at the Death Camp or not.
Influencing her actions, her emotions, and manipulating her without even uttering a word. While he couldn’t take over her body, yet, he definitely could influence her.
  • He even admits to enjoy tormenting and manipulating the poor girl, only holding himself back out of Pragmatic Villainy instead Even Evil Has Standards, proving that at his core he is The Bully.
    • In this story, All For One used Titan's Blood to keep Gigantomachia Undying Loyalty to him as a Mind Control agent at the cost of his intelligence, his other Quirk experiments and travel to the Demon Realm to find more. There, he turned a few of the natives into moles in the Boiling Isles, including some belonging to The Emperor's Coven! He likely made promises to his Witch and Demon devotees fuelled by his charisma to extradite them to his world in hopes of a better life to keep them in his service... until the day he decides to pull a You Have Outlived Your Usefulness on them.
    • Even worse, he muses that he doesn't need to be Manipulative Bastard to get Luz into The Demon Realm to get Titan's Blood... Luz is walking right into an opportunity to get it without his intervention. Suddenly, having Luz come across the Portal Door doesn't sound like a good idea with the Card-Carrying Villain in her head essentially planning to become a Multiversal Conqueror.
  • The former leader of the League of Villains has noticed the changes to Luz's body making her vaguely look like a teen girl version of himself, due to him messing with her mentally and twisting of her mind to be more like him. It all appeals to his narcissist ego as he gives an Evil Laugh.
Luz’s life was playing mirror to his own. That was good. First persecution based on how one simply existed both in the past and the present. Now, there was seemingly a potential betrayal in the family. So long as this continued, and so long as enough tragedy strikes her, she’d be willing to listen to damn near anything he requested of her. It was only a matter of time before she gave way to her truest self. The truest self that All For One grants its user. Complete, and total, unrivalled POWER. Free from one’s limitations and morality. Free from one’s perceptions of the law. The moment Luz went quote-on-quote crazy, was the moment that he would be able to grant her the fullest of All For One.
  • He's also aware that Riley, Luz's cousin, plans to to murder her and doesn't seem to be in a hurry to warn her. In fact, he seems as an opportunity to turn her into more like him and make the girl distrust anyone else who isn't him. Any affection Shigaraki has for Luz Noceda is superficial at best.
  • His ultimate goal in regards to Luz: To what he tried to Touma in canon and pull a Villain Override on the 14-year old girl, change her name, use The Boiling Isles as a way to get his own world, modify her body with help of the Mad Doctor steal One For All from All Might in the guise of an innocent girl and continue his reign of terror with no one to stop him!
    • He also muses that time could flow differently between in his world compared to Luz's. Meaning that All For One could he get to the My Hero academia universe by the time the canon events are underway with the Pro Heroes none the wiser.
    • This all goes on to show that All For One is, in the end, heartless sociopath that does not care for anyone but himself and nothing can change him. He may very well be the True Final Boss of the story.
  • At the halfway point of the chapter, Riley is having a mental debate on rationalizing on what to do with her cousin Luz or not, after finding out she's All For One: the one that she was hired to kill. Especially since her bomb Quirk only works under The Power of Hate.
  • The climax with the chapter not only reveals that Emperor Belos is not only aware of Mass Super-Empowering Event situation his (possible) direct descendants that he's working are dealing with but can communicate with them via magic mirror and travel to the Human Realm, due to All For One's brief meddling in the Boiling Isles. The last part checks out with Millie confirmed to be a witch from the Emperor's Coven. Whether or not the Portal Door he possesses belonged to Eda or not has yet to be confirmed in the story.
    • Emperor Belos also confirms to have met the previous All For One user over a decade before the story began almost foiled his Final Solution plans in a fight, he approves Tyler killing his successor (most likely unaware that's its Luz). Its unlikely that Shigaraki is even aware of the other Big Bad's Evil Plan.
  • Tyler Wittebane. The patriarch of the Wittebane family is essentially a modern-day, richer version of Phillip proud of his The Witch Hunter heritage. A Fantastic Racism fuelled Hypocrite who's hatred for lgbt, non-whites and the supernatural exceeds any love he had for his late daughter, referring to her as "a mistake". He's not an immortal Social Darwinist like All For One, just an ordinary religious man with money and political influence whipping up hate, but his being so realistic is what makes him scary. He even goes as far as to believe that The Governor's Final Solution plan didn't go far enough.
    • He also plans on pulling a You Have Outlived Your Usefulness on Millie for being witch if she succeeds. Given Emperor Belos's canon backstory, he not only wouldn't care about his subordinate's demise but approve of it out of his own bigotry.
  • Tyler plans to send at least a dozen assassins to kill Luz, who he knows is the new All For One, many having superpowers of their own and described as straight-up psychopaths.
  • He's also borderline-delusional in extremist fervor, believing that Luz is The Antichrist and that it was his birthright to have the young teen killed and get into heaven's good books. Delusions of grandeur seem to run in the family.
No one and he meant no one, was going to stand in the way of his Crusade. Luz Noceda was going to die.

    Chapter 17

    Chapter 18
  • To put it bluntly, this chapter pretty much demonstrates that forcing Luz to fight to survive again is still a very bad idea, especially now that she decides to drop all of her ethical restraints she had left. As soon as Luz reforms her body, Millie and the police squad go on the attack. In response, the All For One user creates not one, but two Deadly Force Fields against them showing just how much devastation a Barrier Warrior can do...
    • The first one is fired at Millie who only barely manages to avoid it and then proceeds to smash into the supermarket they were fighting in and explode, causing the entire top of the building to be blown away and rubble to rain down across the parking lot that are big enough to crush nearby cars and trucks. Millie even momentarily compares its destructive capabilities to be on par with Emperor Belos, the most powerful sorcerer on the Boiling Isles. Hopefully the people inside managed to evacuate in time...
    • ...The second barrier has much more deadly consequences. Unlike Riley, the cops couldn't dodge it in time and get full blast of the explosion. Well, let's just say there was Not Enough to Bury of them afterwards as they were reduced to Ludicrous Gibs in a bus-sized crater. Unlike Luz, there's no coming back from dead for the Boys in Blue here.
All of them were wiped out at a moment’s notice. One second, they were alive, the next second, they were dead.
  • Now with the Dirty Cops out the way, Luz sets her sights on her main target: her treacherous cousin. Now an Implacable Man, she tanks a panicking Riley's explosions and powering through the Abomination sludge with her Healing Factor, while trying to crush her with a Giant Hands of Doom and stab her with Absurdly Sharp Claws, while powering through the witch's abomination slime despite the damage its doing to her body. Luz doesn't demand to know why she betrayed her and tell her to surrender peacefully, like her show's probably counterpart would. Blinded by Rage she just wants Riley dead, familial ties be damned. The only reason the young woman survives is because the equally scared Millie is backing her up with Deflector Shields and they decide to Know When to Fold 'Em and pull a Villain Teleportation.
Riley: She’s not human… she can’t be. This kind of power is unreasonable!
    • Furious that they escaped, Luz lets out a Skyward Scream as she slams her giant fist on the ground leaving another crater over 20 ft. in diameter. She's got some Unfinished Business with them.
  • By the time Luz calms down, she registers the death and destruction she has caused in the space of a few minutes since the first gunman showed up. She feels almost No Sympathy for cops she just killed, sans a brief These Hands Have Killed moment, due to their attempted Police Brutality towards her, even having some shades of a Smug Super mentality.
  • Then, she spots a small, terrified crowd of mostly teens and their parents, that includes her own horrified mother, with some that had witnessed and filmed her carnage on their phones. The All For One user rightfully has a short Oh, Crap! reaction, now that people know Luz Noceda is a Cop Killer the incident has well and truly fucked over any chance the teen girl had of ever having a normal life, let alone becoming a superhero. Now the only person she believes she can remotely count on is the Evil Mentor in her mind who intends to Corrupt the Cutie by instilling a Never My Fault attitude even further now that You Can't Go Home Again without being put in prison for life or killed on sight.
  • When a worried Camila asks Luz where she's going now, Luz with Brutal Honesty tells her mother she intends to track down and kill the Wittebanes before they kill her first and informs her that her that her niece Riley, that stayed the night with them, tried to murder her. Luz expects her mother to pull What the Hell, Hero? response or say I Have No Daughter!, instead it seems she's fallen into a Heroic BSoD at how messed up the situation is that it'll only end with the death of her beloved daughter or the Villain with Good Publicity sending assassins her them.
  • In the second half of the chapter, Tyler Wittebane is on the verge of a Villainous Breakdown and about ready to pull a You Have Failed Me on Riley and Millie. the Death Glare the man gives reminds the witch too much about her emperor when he gets pissed off.
    • Now all knowing about Luz Noceda being All For One and having new powers, Tyler Wittebane intends to request the Golden Guard, as in Hunter, from Emperor Belos to assist in killing her. There's no way the young lad can handle a more powerful and viscous Luz Noceda on his first trip to the Human Realm. Best case scenario Emperor Belos refuses for whatever reason and keeps him on the Boiling Isles, worst case... Hunter might become a case Death by Adaptation at the hands of a killer Luz before his Heel–Face Turn can happen.
  • Jonah. The Brute that stands 10 ft. tall whose Quirk has appeared to have turned his body into Super Smoke and must be contained in a special suit only Wittebane can provide to ensure his loyalty. Tyler now intends to abandon his pretense of Even Evil Has Standards virtue and kill Pastor Domenico and Camila to get to Luz. Riley is especially horrified knowing that Jonah went to prison for killing and raping his own wife at the age of 19, before Tyler pulled some strings and bailed him out when he awakened his Quirk. Death by this monster's hands is going to be gruesome.

Arc 5 - Death To Normality

    Chapter 19
  • Camila becomes aware she's Alone with the Psycho in her own home, Jonah Smith, who she heard about from news of this monster's crimes against his wife, causing her to rightfully scream in horror. With only her Healing Hands power, Luz's mother knows she has no chance of survival either fighting off the Giant Mook or escaping due to his Super Smoke.
  • On her way to the Wittebane Mega Church, Luz is confronted by another squadron of 8 cops holding her at gun-point. The unimpressed, recent Cop Killer warns them the last group of cops that tried this didn't work out for them with a Slasher Smile to try and scare them off.
Luz: Now… I don’t think I need to tell you guys how much of a dumb idea this is, do I?The last group of police got turned into smears on the road for attempting this. So long as you don’t fire your guns—any of you—you all can go home, have dinner with your families, and forget about what it is that happened today, kay?” (Narrows her flashing red eyes, as she smirks). Of course, we can also do things the fun way, but that’s up to you.
    • Not long afterwards a new assassin shows up, Sophia Humbolt, and informs the now terrified cops by pointing out that Luz recently killed their brothers and sisters on the force. One trigger happy policeman shoots the teen girl through the shoulder but its nothing her Healing Factor can't fix.
  • Sophia's Quirk is called "Limitless". Yes, that Limitless used by Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen. Except in this story, its in the hands of an super-human assassin that has no qurrels about killing a high-school girl. Her first act is to fire a red, basketball-sized Energy Ball at the cops but Luz is able to intercept it with her Forcefield Projection but the attack is actually able to shatter Luz's barrier, the first time any opponent could do that and send her flying into a nearby store by the explosion.
  • Luz stains a lot of damage from the attack despite her barrier taking most of the impact, with Clothing Damage being the least of her worries. The skin and muscle on her left arm and most of her upper body had been blown off, revealing the girl's bones and internal organs. She could also feel air passing through her lower jaw... realising that was missing now too! Sitting in a pool of her own blood, Luz also notices she's missing her right eye, too. The second All For One user notes as she recovers, if it wasn’t for her Pain Nullification and Super Regeneration, once again, she would’ve been dead. Shigaraki was right about that Quirk being a must-have.
  • The hitwoman's Quirk isn't one Shigaraki recognizes from his home world, as one he possessed, saw or even heard about. Meaning his knowledge will be limited in helping his protegee. It seems Luz's Realm has generated its own unique powers from My Hero Academia.

    Chapter 20
  • This chapter is one of action and brutality in the battle between Luz and Sophia. The assassin fires a blue Energy Ball that crumples the girl's forcefield like paper and tries to suck her in like a black hole, with Luz having an Oh, Crap! look on her face. It destroys her arm, spreading gore everywhere and sends her flying into another store.
  • After repairing herself, she tries to skewer the hitwoman with her Spear Fingers at her for only for Sophia to easily dodge them and fire a red Energy Ball knocking her through another wall into another building like a ragdoll, as terrified onlookers pull a Screw This, I'm Outta Here so that they don't get killed in the crossfire. This is definitely Luz's toughest and most brutal foe yet.
  • Not long after Luz fires her new Forcefield Cannon attack at the Wittebane assassin, she expects the enemy Quirk user to be good as dead. However, despite having enough power to cause a giant explosion that brought down the entire building they were in and turning the surrounding area into nothing but a giant crater (most likely killing dozens of bystanders), her foe emerges from the dust unharmed with a Slasher Smile on her face declaring Luz can't kill her. Apparently the blue Energy Ball can act as a good Deflector Shield, sucking up an explosion equivalent of a Hypersonic Cruise Missile strike.
  • The continuing battle shows Person of Mass Destruction describes the 2 Quirk users as many buildings are destroyed from each of their attacks. Luz believes if doesn't the fight soon the whole town will be turned to rubble as the street they in is turning into a warzone.
  • Later when the assassin fires a red Energy Ball at Luz's Forcefield Cannon, she surprises our heroine by giving a Badass Finger Snap turning the red, repelling attack into the blue, sucking attack. This destroys her Spear Fingers and forcefields, forcing Luz to try and retreat... giving Sophia an opening with her next attack as Luz takes full blast before she has time to protect herself.
Luz was hit point blank with Red, and once again, since she had been blown up by Riley, she felt pain. Her body seared in agony as her skin was practically boiled off of her body. Bones shattered, and muscles liquified. It was like being caught between a rock and a nuclear warhead.
  • Luckily, the second user of All For One's body can regenerate the damage quickly. Its still described that Luz was missing her right arm, the entire right side of her abdomen, and both her legs as she lay in a giant crater.
  • Luz, noticing she took a lot of Clothing Damage, chooses to lunge at a nearby high-school girl around her age and knocks her out to steal it. We understand you needed a new shirt and pants due to the attacks you suffered from, but did you really have to attack an innocent bystander and steal it from her, leaving the poor girl unconscious, alone and in her underwear? She rationalises this as needing it more but if the girl survives the battle she might be tramatised and assume she was assulted in a different way.
    • After doing that, she notices the girl has a Quirk. Which Quirk you ask? Its Zero Gravity! Uraraka's power! She immediately uses it with Super-Strength to levitate the surrounding rubble bypassing the 3-ton limit. Canon Luz would use her power like the hero from MHA. This Luz, on the other hand, is likely to use like Himiko, which would appall the hero-in-training.
  • When demonstrating her new Ability Mixing, Sophia Humbolt, instead of being afraid or intimidated, is estatic and gives a Slasher Smile Worthy Opponent. Even when she notices all the carnage her battle with Luz doing, she's more concerned about winning and having a good fight than the safety of innocent bystanders that have nothing to do with her hit. The assassin also doesn't mind death at the hands of Luz, the most powerful opponent she has ever faced, to be A Good Way to Die. She is noticably unhappy when Jonah joins the battle to assist.
  • Seeing the Smog Quirk user, Shigaraki remenises about it. Deeming it to be Awesome, but Impractical for him to use, he used it a Quirk project (heavily implied to be Kurogiri) but died before could see it succeed. We can only hope that Eraserhead's highschool friend is at peace...
  • The fight becomes Two-on-One against Luz. The 2 assassins create a Combination Attack to get past Luz's multi-layered forcefields. Jonah can combined his "Smog" with Sophia's "Limitless" Red orb turning the smoke from purple to black, allowing it to eat away at Luz's barrier to let the dangerous Energy Ball through her defenses! She barely able to block it a last minute forcefield allowing to fall back away from the deadly Super Smoke. According to Luz's Evil Mentor, while its not an Anti-Regeneration power, it can still bypass Pain Nullification.
  • Jonah, the surviving assassin, tries to use his black smog to eat through the girl's body faster than she can regenerate, and uses all her mental strength to not scream out in pain as the Psycho for Hire has a Slasher Smile. Luckily, Luz is able to successfully steal "Limitless" and uses the blue orb to suck away the attack. The damage done to her by the black smog had left a sizable hole in her left abdomen that fortunately heals up.

    Chapter 21
  • Seeing that he can't achieve anything more than Scratch Damage against his target, Jonah decides to try something else. Jonah tricks Luz (who has no idea Camila is Dead All Along) into believing she killed her own mother with her Forcefield Cannon when Charlie teleports her corpse in the attack turning Camila's body into Ludicrous Gibs, she about to go into a Heroic BSoD which is All According to Plan for Sadist. Had it not been for Shigaraki telling Luz to Get A Hold Of Yourself Man then Luz would've been open to a killing blow.
This anger… This despair… this hatred she felt. She would never let it go.
  • Giving off an Evil Laugh and believing the All For One user is too broken to fight, the Giant Mook orders the teleporter villain to summon all the millitary grade weapons they have: Heavy-duty machine guns, assault rifles, anti-tank rifles, 3 flamethrowers, several grenade launchers, and multiple rocket launchers. Not long after they deliver Macross Missile Massacre onto the lone teenaged girl with a Psychotic Smirk.
  • As the dust settles, Jonah believes they've won. He's about to tell his boss their mission is a success... unlike he hears a choking sound to his right and has an Oh, Crap! reaction when he sees his partner having her heart torn out and is Forced to Watch the vital organ be crushed by a badly burnt but Not Quite Dead Luz with her muscle and skin growing back, taking her Quirk. The now terrified Giant Mook collaspses onto the ground in fear as the girl destroys the body with Limitless covered in a black lightning aura as her apperance resembles more and more like a teen girl version of Shigaraki.
  • Luz completely No Sells the various smog punches from the panicking giant, thanks to her Super-Toughness and is radiating black and red lightning which is scorching the ground around them. She delivers this Pre-Mortem One-Liner (below is translated into English) before the monster meets his end with Luz's Finishing Stomp on his head, crushing his skull and scattering his grey matter. While Jonah is an Asshole Victim, he clearly so terrified of the little girl that he couldn't concentrate on his Intangibility. Jonah completely underestimated how Luz would respond to his plan. One can only imagine what Luz would've done had she known the truth of her mother's end before she killed Jonah.
Luz: You can run away. You can hide. You can call the authorities all you want. But nothing less than God himself will stop me from finding you and making you pay for your crimes. And in this godless world, that God is me.
  • While taking a breather, Luz is able take in the damage her various fights with the Wittebane assassins caused. Not only does she have the blood of her enemies on her hands but also indirectly a lot of innocent civilians, too.
Luz looked down at the road below, where all the carnage had taken place. It looked like a warzone. The blood, the fires, the destruction, and the bodies that lined the floor. She only realized now that the fighting had killed more than just Sophia, her mother, Jonah and Charlie. There were more than over a dozen bodies, and it made Luz’s stomach knot.
  • Riley appears not long after and tries to apologise to her little cousin for trying to kill her and explain why she did, but Luz is no mood for her traitorous cousin. She blames Riley for the carnage that transpire today, including her mother's murder, then steals her Quirk "Bomb Touch", ignoring the high-schoolers screams of pain and proceeds to kill her with it, turning her into Ludicrous Gibs. And unlike Luz, her cousin would never come back. She just added a family member to her body count.
Luz: This is your fault… all of this. Everything that happened today… It was all on you. So do me a favour, and die.
  • Not long after her kinslaying, Luz is knocked off the roof of the building she was on by a tidal wave of slime and into the destroyed streets below. After healing her Luz her arm, hand, and left side of her face, she narrowly avoids a column of fire, caused by a giant circle above her. Its Millie from the emperor's coven and fully intends on Avenging the Villain.
  • With Millie finally at her mercy, Luz interrogates the little witch on where Tyler wittebane is. The Pint-Sized Powerhouse spitefully tells her he left Gravesfield before the battle even started and she won't be able to find them. Not liking her answer she fully intends to cripple her enemy from the waist down, instead of outright killing her. Millie is only saved from becoming a paraplegic but Hunter's timely rescue. The last resort has arrived to take on Luz.
  • Many readers were worried that Hunter fighting Luz would be a Curb-Stomp Battle in the latter's favor followed by a Death by Adaptation for the boy. In turns out, thanks to Shigaraki in the past, the Golden Guard has not one, not two but four powerful Quirks in his arsenal, becoming an Empowered Badass Normal. Not only that but thanks to his Grimwalker physiology he doesn't to be suffering any ill-effects from having that many Quirks in him (that we know of). Oh and Luz, you can't steal his Quirks by your Power Parasite ability thanks to your Evil Mentor. And he probably has had a decade of training with his Quirks over you, too.
  • According to Shigaraki, he was able to convince the boy to become The Mole to him in The Emperor's Coven and could be a potential ally, and is about to test her mettle. Although considering his judging look, he may fight not only because of Just Following Orders but to also avenge the dead innocent bystanders of Luz's fights, in a caae of Even Evil Has Standards.
Hunter: Very well. Let’s make this quick, shall we? (Activates his Quirk) I am the Golden Guard of Emperor Belos. And you, All For One, will not be leaving this place.

Arc 6 - AFO versus The Golden Guard

    Chapter 22
  • The chapter begins the fight showing Hunter can cut right through Luz's forcefield with his Absurdly Sharp Sword made of Hard Light with one strike. The All For One user notes if that attack hit she would've turned into Half the Man He Used to Be.
    • After closing the gap, the Golden Guard slices Luz vertically with his sword like she was made of butter, and not only did it do that, but is able to bypass her Pain Nullification, which she describes as excruciatingly painful. To Luz's credit, she's able to hold back a scream of agony as her Healing Factor kicks in.
  • Luz decides to go for the kill with a Red Energy Ball, destroying half his body from the waist up. Luz smirks, believing that she's won… until, to her shock, she sees his entire upper body reformed out of light particles, clothing and all, acting like he was never injured. It appears the readers were Right for the Wrong Reasons. Right that it was a Curb-Stomp Battle. Wrong in who was getting stomped.
Luz: (With eyes widened) ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? SHIGARAKI! YOU DIDN’T TELL ME I WAS FIGHTING A KIZARU KNOCK-OFF!!!
  • Immediately afterwards, Hunter literally backhand slaps Luz through an entire block of houses with seemingly little effort, causing them to collapse on their occupants. The Conveniently Empty Building trope is very much averted here. Some readers believed Hunter would be disgusted or horrified of the death and destruction Luz’s battle with the assassins had unintentionally caused but here Hunter’s fight with Luz is doing the same thing. Those deaths while unintentional like Luz’s are on Hunter’s hand which means he either a) isn’t aware of what he’s done or b) just doesn’t care.
  • Luz tries to activate Multiplier and Limitless for a combo attack, only for Hunter to cut the extra limbs off, round-house kicks her into the ground and fires a laser beam for good measure. Luckily, Luz is able to block that last attack with her full-powered forcefield but is clearly losing her patience.
Every opponent she had fought had fallen to her hands. Every enemy who was out to kill her, or in this case, to defeat her had died. And while she wasn’t trying to kill him, there was a limit to her patience. And he was expending all of that patience.
  • When the teen girl internally rants she has nothing to counter him with, despite having 15 different Quirks, Shigaraki decides to tell her he's been holding back the entire time, something that scares her. Forget Sophia being the Wake-Up Call Boss, she has nothing on The Golden Guard.
Shigaraki: Every blow he delivers is restrained. If he really wanted to kill you, Luz, he would’ve done so already. I was right, he’s only testing you.
  • During her conversation with Hunter, Luz notices how much colder voice has become since the supermarket fight, like it belonged to some else's. It seems the All For One Quirk has changed her not just physically but emotionally, too
Had she been talking like that the whole time? She hadn’t noticed, and it had actually shocked her when she heard her voice. It sounded… distant, detached, and downright sociopathic.
  • The 2 Quirk users clash with their next big attacks. Hunter charges a powerful, explosive light beam, while Luz delivers an Enhanced Punch from the combination of her Super-Strength, Springlike Limbs and Multiplier Quirks. Both attacks hit at the same time, causing an explosion and the 2 combatants are sent flying in opposite directions over a mile away from the starting point. Of the 2, Luz took the most damage when she landed at her old school (tearing up the asphalt and destroying any cars in the way), with her face burned off showing her skull and her ribcage visible with her her heart and lungs shown pumping away. No wonder many of the teen witnesses wanted to throw up. But its nothing her Super Regeneration can't fix up.
  • Noticing all the panicking students and realising she's now topless from the fight, Luz picks out another target to mug for his clothes. Seeing he has a Quirk, she decides to steal that too, Godzilla Threshold move as she was already at her limit. After using her Power Parasite ability and taking his hoodie and shirt, Luz notices she accidently killed her victim as he Dies Wide Open with fear marring his face. While Luz expresses some remorse for her Accidental Murder, its more muted than it should be. To the other school kids acting as witnesses, the superhuman monster just straight up murdered their fellow classmate and friend for his clothes and powers. No wonder they run away from her, screaming.
  • When Luz asks Shigaraki for more information on her opponent's Quirks, her Evil Mentor refuses to divulge beyond the first 2 telling her she needs to Figure It Out Yourself if she wants to be a worthy successor of All For One.
  • Just as Luz is about to go after The Golden Guard again, she's hit repeatedly by his Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs created out of Hard Light from a distance that overwhelms her Shock Absorption and sending the girl flying into the air.
Had it not been for Pain Nullification, she would’ve felt her bones shatter, her organs practically explode, and it would’ve made the blood erupting from her mouth even more horrifying to the teen than it already was.
  • In desperation, Luz fires 5 red Limitless orbs from the many hands, with only one hitting its mark... That’s when Luz smirks, snaps her fingers, and transformed the Red into Blue like Sophia had done before, giving Hunter his first genuine Oh, Crap! moment throughout the whole fight as he almost gets sucked into the impromptu black hole.
  • When Luz fires her Deadly Forcefield at the Golden Guard, he cuts it in half again with his Sword Beam. Unfortunately, one half landed on top of the school, and the other half landed on a small group of other buildings. This results massive explosions that blow both parties back a bit, and when the dust settled, all that's left were 2 craters, killing anyone below. Nice Job Breaking It, Hero. Both of you.
  • And that ending… As she stares down at the Golden Guard from the sky with Red Eyes, Take Warning enveloped in black lightning, Luz calls herself The Chosen One… either she’s just differentiating herself from All For One… or she’s starting to somewhat lose it and believe Shigaraki's lies.

    Chapter 23
  • The fight continues with Luz becoming Impaled with Extreme Prejudice by Hunter's light spears but once again heals from it and answers with a massive, street-wide column of fire that he barely avoids when trying to cut her arm off. He notes she's unintentionally destroying her town and killing innocents with every big attack she does.
    • Luz punches the Golden Guard in the face by a massive arm, sending him into the asphalt and creating a giant crater, with the blast destroying the buildings surrounding them, including any occupants.
  • Under pressure from the dangerous girl, Hunter decides uses another one of his four Quirks: Selective-Gigantism. It causes his right arm to grossly swell up the size of a house uses to swat Luz.
    • Hunter notes he must end the fight in under 10 minutes, otherwise he'll be trapped in the Human Realm, possibly forever if Emperor Belos decides that retrieving this Grimwalker is more trouble than creating a new one.
  • Luz has taken back Vines but this proves to be not a good idea as she's about to attack again, her arm freaking explodes! Taking advantage of Luz's Heroic RRoD from having too many Quirks, Hunter uses his giant hand to use an Enhanced Punch on her into the ground. The shockwave of the attack travelled for miles, tearing up more buildings and houses, and leaving a massive crater in its wake, likely killing more civilians in the process, too. Hunter notes he takes no pleasure in it, he seems to have written off Gravesfield as It Is Beyond Saving.
    • Luz, trying to get back in the fight, tries activating her two flight Quirks, only collapse and start vomiting blood. Shigaraki reprimands her stealing the two extra Quirks and insists on expelling them to a bystander immediately. When she tries to argue, her Evil Mentor in all seriousness that she will die if she doesn't.
    • Before the girl has a chance to do anything, Hunter kicks her into the ground, overturning more tarmac down the street, adding a laser beam to plow her along. Luz notices her Healing Factor is finally being overtaxed as Hunter throws her into a school of frightened children hiding.
  • It looks like all is lost for our Anti-Hero. Her body is no longer responding to her from the toll of her battles and too many Quirks, in agony as her Pain Nullification fails her, struggling to breathe, heart rate slowing and has hit her Despair Event Horizon. She's at the mercy of her foe, where he offers the choice of death or being brought to her enemies as a prisoner.
    • ...Suddenly, Her body becomes enveloped by red lightning, her last of her brown hair turns completely white as it stands on ends. Luz has actually Awakened the All For One Quirk!
    • Shigaraki notices her Vestige World shake like an earthquake as it has reforms from a black void into something resembling a throne room. This causes the supervillain to do an Evil Laugh that borderlines Laughing Mad with bloodshot, crazed eyes, as Luz has exceeded his expectations. He now mostly likely will try to pull a Villain Override on her now instead of Tomura, seeing the girl as a Superior Successor.
  • If Luz wasn't a big enough of a powerhouse before she certainly is now. Her stored Quirks have all got massive buffs: Super-Strength, Multiplier, Flamethrower, Limitless, Spear Fingers, Vines, and Forcefield Projection. They're big enough in use to eclipse the portion of the sky that Luz took up, covering the street Hunter is in below in shadow, of which he has an appropriate Oh, Crap! reaction.
    • Case in point, Multiplier produces arms as big as buses, Flamethrower becomes blue like Dabi's fire, Blue and Red become Hollow Purple, Spear Fingers turns into actual steel blades that bend and home in on their target, Vines become the size of full-grown trees. Its only because of Hunter's Super-Speed and Nerves of Steel he manages to survive the onslaught of destructive power from the first awakened All For One wielder.
Shigaraki: And it not just All For One, but as a result, every Quirk stored within from now until forever has been Awakened! This is the very thing I wanted, but could never do! It is all thanks to you, Luz Noceda!
  • The last of Hunter's Quirks is revealed to be Overclock. Yes the Overclock from My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, of which All For One should have died before he stole it from its wielder. The implications don't look good for old Knuckleduster...
  • The Golden Guard, deciding to pull a Godzilla Threshold as it looks like Luz is going to kill him now that he's exhausted himself and all other options, uses his Dangerous Forbidden Technique of his Awakened Selective-Gigantism to turn himself into the size of an actual Titan! He becomes so titanic in size, that people from across the state of Connecticut could see him!
  • Using the only 10 seconds he had in this state and using it together with Overclock, Hunter throws a punch so fast that even Luz, the strongest she's been yet, can't dodge or stop it, shattering all 80 of her enhanced barriers to her horror. This results in the total annihilation of Gravesfield leaving few, if any survivors by this Finishing Move.
The resulting blast could’ve been felt from the nearest city all the way to the edges of New York. It physically shook the southern part of The United States of America and left destruction for hundreds of thousands of kilometres.
  • As Hunter returns to his home dimension, he believes he had just killed Luz once and for all, he suddenly starts violently vomiting black ooze from which Luz crawls out of the small puddle of goo. Her Warping Quirk has been boosted to the point of averting Teleportation with Drawbacks and transport herself now, admitting it was the only reason she survived that borderline Fantastic Nuke. Its only because she considers him Not Worth Killing and that causing her Doomed Hometown wasn't intentional she decides to not murder him in the name of vengeance and leaves.
  • It took Luz up to twenty-three whole chapters (and the author over a year), but she finally makes it to the Demon Realm... All According to Plan for Shigaraki.
    • Tyler Wittebane is in the Boiling Isles too under Emperor Belos's protection. He doesn't seem too upset about the loss of his ancestral hometown, unlike his wife, considering it to be Worth It for killing Luz.

Season 3 - The Boiling Isles Saga

Part 1: Arc 7 - A Late Start To A Wacky World

    Chapter 24
  • This chapter reveals that Shigaraki's "brief" visit to the Boiling Isles 24 years ago was actually a 10-year long war until Emperor Belos drove him off with his One-Winged Angel form. Titan knows how many people died in it.
  • If a witch is given a Quirk, they lose with ability to use magic as a result. This due to Bile Sac shrivelling up from it. Even if the Quirk gets taken back, it would take 3 years to show signs of recovery and further 10 years to fully restore, as in Alador's case.
  • During that time, many unfortunate witches became Unwitting Test Subjects for All For One's Quirk experiments. This included the parents of the Blight kids that were given Quirks against their will and painfully so after Odalia was foolish enough to try and make a deal with the Card-Carrying Villain. The matriarch of the Blight Family learned the hard way that Evil Is Not a Toy.
    • This also resulted with Amity being born without the ability to use magic but with a Quirk instead. But not just any Quirk: its a replica of One For All. Her birth was essentially a eugenics experiment for the madman to "get back what was rightfully his" with the 2 replica Quirks, including his long dead brother. Fortunately, he was chased off before Amity was born and find out he succeeded. Its heavily implied that Amity's conception was Questionable Consent too, making her the Black Sheep of the family.
  • If you were a witch with a Quirk, you would be a target for Fantastic Racism in the Boiling Isles. There are about 200 "Unique" children that exist in Bonesborough alone, and all of them, for the most part, were encouraged to keep to themselves by The Emperor's Coven. Knowing Emperor Belos is likely a feature and not a bug in the social system. All For One had destroyed whatever semblance of a normal life for many witch children could have in their society that focused only on your magic abilities.
  • As Amity leaves the manor, she notes the Blight name came their fair share of enemies. Most were political but others genuinely hated her family for harbouring Shigaraki in their home during the war, wanting revenge. The Emperor didn’t blame them, but conversations with him had been very hostile lately. Its as if now the most powerful man in the Boiling Isles had just found out they were, in fact, more responsible for what had happened 24 years ago than they let on.
  • Luz is now going by the name All For One suggested: Toshiko Shigaraki. Its heavily implying That Man Is Dead and she's fallen further into her Evil Mentor's sway.
    • When Amity hears her surname, she mentally notes its the same as All For One's. It may only be a matter of time before our hero becomes targeted for what her predecessor had done. Not to mention that the supervillain will eventually figure out who Amity is.

    Chapter 25
  • Luz changing her name was partly because the Wittebanes are residing here in Boiling Isles will likely turn the populous against her. The war between them is far from over. However, considering the carnage Rikitatsu brought and people know his last name unlike the Mutant Realm, it isn't any better as the citizens might think she's his daughter.
    • Luz, no, Toshiko makes note that Amity has a Quirk. It seems it'll be only a matter of time before All For One finds out his experiment to recreate One For All was a success.
  • On her way to the forest, Toshiko comes across Willow and her father Gilbert, who goes into blind rage by the sight the new comer as her white hair and red eyes remind him of Rikitatsu: The man who murdered his husband all those years ago.
    • Toshiko tries to warn the man to not start a fight with her for his daughter's sake as it won't end well but it falls on deaf ears as he's about to strike the girl. The All For One user responses by giving him a does of Impaled with Extreme Prejudice with her Spear Fingers faster than the witch father could react. His injuries include a stabbed shoulder, stomach, right eye, left knee, and right through his fist all in front the witch child. At first it looks like Willow is going to become an orphan, but fortunately Toshiko isn't like her Evil Mentor and saves his life.
  • The Owl Lady recalls the time during the war where the first All For One stood Atop a Mountain of Corpses of her people that was on fire. Things got so desperate that she had to pull an Enemy Mine and fight alongside her estranged older sister and Belos of all people drive him back home, as it was the Lesser of Two Evils at the time. Even it took The Emperor's One-Winged Angel sludge monster form, which is implied to be even stronger than in the show, and Lilith was put through an Eye Scream and lost her right arm to the power-hungry madman.
  • Briefly mentioned, but according to Eda an Orphanage of Fear is a thing in the Boiling Isles.
  • Eda notes that if Willow's dad reacted that strongly at the sight of Toshiko, she'd hate to imagine how King would respond. Implying he's almost as powerful as he always wanted in the show due to his Age Lift, except he lacks humility from his Character Development.

    Chapter 26
  • There's an entire Underground City directly underneath Bonesborough built on All For One's "ideals" that Emperor Belos doesn't know about. However, Gus implies that those that'll try to snitch to The Emperor will be dealt with severely with his father being made out to be a mob boss.
Gus: The Emperor cannot find out about this place. When I take you to my father, you will answer him honestly. Otherwise… well, I can’t vouch for your safety. Okay?
  • In this story, a Fantastic Caste System is in place: Witches were at the top, followed by demons, "Unique Children", Cyclopes, and finally the trolls. The trolls get it worse, often victims of hate crimes. This likely a feature put in by Belos to Kick the Dog even more and it really says something when The Underdark, a hidden town built by All For One's followers, has a more welcoming environment to social outcasts.
  • When Gus explains to his father who Amity is, he goes from annoyed and suspicious to overjoyed and friendly: seeing the Blight girl and her family as a potential ally to take down Belos! That's a good thing but what isn't good is that Perry is a devout follower of All For One who isn't much better. He wants Amity to send a message to her mother that gives vibes of The Revolution Will Not Be Civilized.
Perry: The time has come. The revolution will soon begin. For the sake of our glorious leader, we will prevail.
  • As the tournament begins, Gus let's the contestants know that unlike the witch's duals above ground, which are known for often causing gratuitous harm to the combatants, here killing the opponent is perfectly acceptable. This means this Fight Clubbing can easily become a Deadly Game with some of them Would Hurt a Child to get money.

    Chapter 27
  • Chapter 27's flashback of All For One shows us how bleak his childhood was with his younger brother. They were 12-year old street rats that wore nothing but rags and where forced to shelter in rundown houses with no adults to look after them. They often went without food for a week with Yoichi getting excited at getting fed an un-mouldy but stale loaf of bread instead of half-eaten or rotten meals.
    • Despite Yoichi's disapproval, Rikitatsu stole other people's Quirks to better take care of himself and his little brother. With Yoichi's hemophilia, Rikitatsu feared his little brother would die with out him, which eventually came true in this story.
    • At the end of the flashback, Rikitatsu announces to his brother he intends to save the world via domination: as an all-powerful dictator iron fist and stealing enough Quirks. While its a step up from him wanting to become a Demon Lord wannabe, this Well-Intentioned Extremist mentality can be seen as rationalizing his worldview as people his possessions to take care of. Given the Crapsack World that they lived him even Yoichi ponders if a world ruled by hid brother would be such a bad thing since this All For One takes good care of him.
  • While walking down the forest path, Toshiko could’ve sworn she saw a massive cockroach flying. Although she wasn't bothered by it, this would for any readers with entomophobia.
    • The second All For One wielder is still haunted by her actions at the Death Camp even though she barely recalls killing the others. She comments she's sometimes Hearing Voices of her victims blaming her for their deaths whenever she's in a forest.
    • When looking at her reflection, the girl comments she looks more like her Evil Mentor now without concern, even referring to her as sensei, like Tomura. It implied she's been groomed thoroughly that she doesn't mind looking like someone that she views as a monster.
  • King's introduction. Instead of the Ridiculously Cute Critter he is in the show, he's so massive that he causes the ground to shake. His full height actually intimidates Toshiko.
    • King who looks down at the girl with anger that she reminds him of the villain that attacked his homeland and fractured his face and broke one of his horns. Toshiko’s disinterested demeanor doesn't help and only acknowledges the fact, prompting the much larger magical beast take her anger out on her if she doesn't leave, preparing to breathe fire on her. She refuses instead goading the young Titan to come at her with everything he has.
  • The fight starts with King smacks Toshiko high into the air within a blink of an eye, before she can orientate herself the Titan reaches her In a Single Bound much to her shock and slaps her again. This causes his claws to dig through her clothes and into her stomach, leaving three jagged claw marks through her lower torso - but its nothing her Super Regeneration couldn’t fix up.
    • Not long afterwards, the giant creature is already on top of Toshiko, raining hammer-fists onto her to the ground before flames began to converge around his mouth, and fires a massive beam of heat down onto Toshiko. Its described as looking like a plasma beam, and the sheer heat had burned away her clothing, and leaving 3rd degree burns everywhere on her body. Luckily, our protagonist not only has a Healing Factor but has a Pain Nullification power, too.
    • But the King of Demons isn't done yet. He summons several ice spears and odges them into Toshiko’s shoulders, thighs, and chest, and hammers her down onto them further with his giant fists. After that, the ice spears explode into a vast wave of electricity.
    • Next, Toshiko is scooped out of the ground, still healing from the damage, before being thrown at Mach speeds through the woods, smashing through tree after tree, and rock after rock, all the while tearing up the ground as she went leaving a massive gash in the surface of the earth.
  • When that doesn't work, the beast tightly binds her still healing waist, wrists, and ankles with roots via Plant Magic, wrapping around her, before they violently began to pull her apart. King then charges toward her like an angry rhino and leaves a Torso with a View from his punch alone.
    King: Die...!
  • As the angry Titan pulls his arm out, out comes along a few feet of the girl's intestines. Toshiko is only saved from being Gutted Like a Fish by her potent Healing Factor. When that fails, King uses the roots he used to effectively draw and quarter the teen only for (once again) her Super Regeneration to save her, calmly stating all of that happened within only 10 seconds.
    • King then gives Toshiko a Facepalm Of Doom and proceeds to Wipe the Floor with You for another mile, tearing up the ground as they went. When that proves to be not enough, he throws her up into the air with several yellow rings appeared around his fingers. Then, beams of light not too dissimilar to The Golden Guards' Lightbringer, blasted through her body turning it into Swiss cheese.
    • Ticked off when even all that doesn't defeat the girl, King gives his iconic Super-Scream but this is so powerful that the shockwaves are enough to tear off skin and shatter her bones, bypassing her Shock Absorption. However, underneath his annoyance, Toshiko picks up on the excitement in the eyes the Blood Knight.
  • Knocking her into a tree, King finally decides to finish her off with a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown with his Super-Strength, until said tree finally gave way and falls on top of the teen to crush her. After that final thrashing, the Titan is exhausted both physically and magically in that full minute having never had to go that all out before, hoping it was enough...
    • ...But it wasn't. Toshiko emerges Out of the Inferno of blue fire she created while dusting herself off no worse for wear much to the Last Son of the Titan's disbelief.
  • The All For One wielder easy closes the gap between them and unleashes her blue Flamethrower right into his face causing a shockwave that so powerful it knocked down hundreds of trees behind it. Then, came the column of hellfire that could be something Dabi would do..
It was as wide as the base of half of a hill, and it scorched the ground, tearing up the earth and dug several feet deep in the process. The flames had been localized toward its head, before it blasted out further in a cone shape. After that, it was shoved to the ground, as another cone of fire erupted upward, blasting up into the sky like a beacon.
  • As Eda notices a column of blue fire near her house, the Owl lady rushes towards it as fast she can freaking out about her family's safety from the child related to All For One. She even considered letting the Owl Beast out just so that she could get there faster, despite haven't controlled it yet. Luckily, everyone there is okay.
A million different thoughts raced through the Wild Witch’s head. Was King alright? Was Hooty nearby, and was he safe? Was King still alive after that? She knew he was strong but was he that strong? Just what was that Shigaraki girl doing to her adopted son?
  • On another note, King recalls when he was eight-years old, when he tried, and failed, to defend itself from those creatures with exposed brains from kidnapping him, despite his best efforts. He must have been so terrified by that.
  • Meanwhile in the Vestige Realm, Rikitatsu is aware that his successor has made contact with Eda and King Clawthorne and is surprised as last recalled leaving the Owl Lady mortally wounded and for dead, as then weaker Titan in a mindless rage.
    • Now aware of them, Rikitatsu adjusts his plans around the two Clawthornes, while reminiscing about murdering Knuckleduster. This doesn't bode well for the Owl House residents.
    • But the real twist of the chapter, when one of the vestiges has developed sentience and has not gone unnoticed by All For One who is enjoying the look of her terror and disbelief.
Rikitatsu: Quite the turn of events, don’t you think? I find it peculiar how this happened, but then again, I suppose it was bound to eventually. After all, you were the only person who truly vowed allegiance to dear Luz. Or, should I say, Toshiko now? Isn’t that right…Julia Wittebane.

    Chapter 28
  • Despite her best efforts not to, Amity accidently kills her opponent in combat and is horrified that, despite the guy being an Asshole Victim, the crowd still cheers for her instead of acting just as shocked as she is, including Raine.
  • This chapter reveals a Dark Secret about the Deadly Game aspect of the tournament set up by Perry and Skara's father. The corpses of the losers that die are being used to create Nomu.
  • Perry Porter has figured out that Amity is a wielder of One For All is likely going to include her into his schemes. While he has a good cause in stopping the Day of Unity, it shows how far Perry's willing to go to win having been The Dragon to All For One since near the start of the war considering the crimes he committed to be a necessary evil. Now, he';s sending some of his men to track down Toshiko for their cause.
  • The Blackguard. The Underdark's equivalent of the Emperor's Coven. However, their Undying Loyalty is to their cause, not their boss. These soldiers would turn on Perry the instant they believed he no longer stood for what they believed in as per the man's instructions.
  • Perry notes the downside of witches not being able to have Quirks without losing their magic, he would’ve greenlit the surgery to have Gus, his own son, undergo the procedure otherwise.

Arc 8 - Truth, Lies, and The Inbetween
  • Chapter 29, its revealed that the Shigaraki brothers are the result Child by Rape and their mother was only 16-years old when it happened. When they found out Rikitasu and Yoichi tracked down their Corrupt Politician father to confront him and the older brother murdered him with a Neck Snap.
    • Not to mention that the new Super Registration Act for Meta-Humans was becoming akin more for laws on Jews in Nazi Germany... and All For One planned to take full advantage of it with the Yakuza and Meta Liberation Army by staging an uprising to create an opportunity for a power grab.
    • The chapter also reveals that Eda is actually considering selling Toshiko out to Emperor Belos or even killing the girl herself to prevent another war in her homeland, if she turns out to be like All For One.
