Despite the Darker and Edgier nature of All For Luz, there are still impressive moments that easily live up to the canons of both sources.

In General
- In each fight, where Luz emerges victorious and adds another Quirk to her growing arsenal, is worthy of praising the young girl on her road to becoming one of the strongest beings in The Multiverse. Especially when her opponent in question is an Asshole Victim.
Season 1 - Summer Camp Saga
Arc 1 - The "Not-So-Dull" Summer Camp
Chapter 1
- The story begins with one for All Might. This chapter also confirms that, unlike canon, All Might managed to put down All For One for good — a man who had, by his own admission in later chapters, 1000+ Quirks at his disposal and who basically ruled Japan in the shadows for at least a century — 5 years before the start of My Hero Academia story. Even if he still became a Handicapped Badass in the aftermath, he took down the main Big Bad in his universe permanently, avenging his sensei, their predecessors and everyone else that suffered because of that evil bastard.
- All For One on his part is Defiant to the End, even foreshadowing the events to come.
Chapter 3
- When kidnapped by the Antagonistic Governor and tries to explain its for for their own good and national security, Luz along with Ronny calls him out on his bullshit as he just had several witnesses, including children, gunned down to cover up his illegal actions.
Chapter 4
- Stanley demonstrates his Quirk, Shock Absorption, by getting Ronny to hit him as hard as he can with his Super-Strength. The punch blows all the leaves off the near by trees but he comes out of it, no worse the wear, to the awe of his team mates.
Arc 2 - Search and Steal
Chapter 5
- In this chapter, Luz first meets Shigaraki in her Mental World, she can immediately tell this guy is an Obviously Evil Supervillain and she should take what he says with a grain of salt. Despite initially getting excited when he appeals to her desire to be The Chosen One, finding out she has a Power Parasite Quirk Luz says what an awful thing it is to others. When he tries to plant the belief that Quirks have Addictive Magic behind them, the young teen calls him out on being a Manipulative Bastard and lets him she's not gonna do things his way and become a bad guy. She may be a Cloud Cuckoo Lander, but Luz is Genre Savvy enough to know that All For One isn't trustworthy and the Enemy Within will have to be a bit more subtle in his manipulations to have any chance of winning Luz over.
- When All For One claims to Luz that their power makes them gods among men, the girl points that he still died even with his power, getting under the villain's skin.
- One for Eda Clawthorne. Its also heavily implied the Titan's Blood Shigaraki got his hands on came from King after he got a hold of him when the 2 ended up in the "The Mutant Realm". Eda went full Mama Bear mode and was able to sneak into the Big Bad's Supervillain Lair, grab the young Titan and escape back their home dimension without getting caught. Its possible Eda and fought her way through to rescue her surrogate son to pull a Screw This, I'm Outta Here for the both of them. And that's factoring her being hindered by her Curse!
- Pastor Domenico reveals to Camila that he's been gathering evidence against Tyler Wittebane in his role in the children's kidnapping.
Chapter 6
- At the beginning of the chapter, All For One eggs Luz on to steal Julia's Quirk, but the girl resists temptation to betray her First Friend.
- When Luz reveals her Power Parasite ability to her entire team. Instead of being afraid of her, they point out how incredibly useful that's going to be in this Deadly Game and consider her The Ace in the hole for the Alpha Squadron to De-power the other teams if they try to kill them.
Chapter 7
- In the climax of the chapter, Luz gets her first Quirk taking her first step, in All For One's words, "on the road to becoming the strongest human being this world would ever know" from her ne friend Julia at her request.
Chapter 8
- A mild example but Masha using their Tarot Card Quirk for a living is pretty smart with the highest commission being $1500.
- Shigaraki asks Luz why she thinks stealing other people’s powers is wrong. Her response:Luz: Why do I have to explain it more? Shouldn’t it be obvious? Look, don’t get me wrong, I’m fine with taking a Quirk, superpower, whatever the hell you want to call it, every now and then. But I know what you’re implying. I’m not stupid. You want me to go around and strip power from everyone. That. That’s my problem! [...] Taking other people’s powers for the sake of taking them is evil. Period. And while I might be a little screwed up in the head, I’m not evil. Besides, why should I be the one to decide who gets to be special, and who doesn’t?” [...] All of my life, since the first day I went to school, I’ve been seen as “the weird one,” or “the kid who can’t separate reality from fiction.” And now people will finally get to see the world how they say I saw it. They can finally live whatever fantasy they want, be it good or bad. It’s not any of my business. [...] And now, you’re telling me that I should strip them of that?! Here’s a question for you, what gave you the right to do what you did in your world? ‘Cause I’ll be honest, you strike me as the kind of person who takes over countries and steps on babies for fun!
- Luz also calls out All For One on his past villainy, disregarding his "Not So Different" Remark and the treatment of this little brother, telling him she's not, nor will ever be, anything like him before she wakes up. The Enemy Within, on other hand, calmly says he appreciates the challenge.
- A villainous Hannibal Lecture example. After hearing her explanation, Shigaraki does an accurate psychological evaluation of the young teen and the situation she's in: She sees taking away other people's powers as not only taking away what's special about them but projecting her own pain and loneliness onto others. That she has an I Just Want to Be Special wish and deep down likes the idea of taking power away from those who don’t deserve it, especially those that discredited her creativity and wrote her off as a weirdo. He points out that the original Reality Check Camp was going to strip away her creativity when it would've been better to give her better direction instead and her own didn't do enough to stick for her and could've prevented getting her in this situation by not caving into the peer pressure. As much as Luz hates it, she can't deny that the Villain Has a Point. His ability to pick out a person’s weak spots and fears is impressive in a messed-up way.Shigaraki: My point is, Luz, is that those around you who have had power over you used it to make you feel small, weak, and little. And in the back of your mind, you’ve always wanted to strip that power from them. Now that you have the means to, are you really going to try and tell me that you would never do such a thing? That now that you have the means to point back at the world, and tell them for once that they’re wrong, that you won’t?Luz: (Tranquil Fury) No.
- The way All for One can read people truly speaks to his vast experience and intelligence going full Psycho Psychologist on Luz, especially with the fact that he was so easily able to read into Camila's thought process with such huge accuracy, despite having never met the woman, only from Luz's memories.
Chapter 9
- Stanley eats a whole moon pie in one go. Wow.
- When Judy starts undermining Luz's leadership after she takes Julia's Quirk at her request, The Leader lays down the law and puts the Token Evil Teammate in her place, using her Vine Tentacles to give the young woman a Neck Lift.Luz: I thought you were joking when you threatened me before because I honestly couldn’t believe the audacity that you had when you said that to my face. But, apparently, I was wrong. (Vines beginning to coil around Judy's body, as Luz’s eyes flashed red) So, let’s make one thing clear, from here on out. And this applies to everyone, so pay attention. What I say, goes. If I tell you to run, you run. If I tell you to walk, you walk. If I tell you to smash your head against a wall, you do it. And If you have a problem with that, then you can bring it up to me. And if I think it’s reasonable, I’ll consider it. (Slams Judy into the ground and stomps on her stomach) But if you threaten me, or try to touch me, hurt me, or even attempt to kill me, I will not hesitate to do the same to you in return. Does everyone understand?
- At the climax of the chapter, Luz, Stanley, Arla and Judy are ambushed by Cody, Amber, Hilbert and Lucas. While Cody takes Luz to fight elsewhere, Lucas and Hilbert kill off Judy and Arla respectively.
Chapter 10
- Its Luz vs. Cody. Luz wins even after being badly burnt by stealing his Pyrokinesis Quirk and burning him to ashes with it, a fitting Karmic Death.
Arc 3 - The Hunt Begins
Chapter 11
- At the beginning of the chapter, Kennedy approaches Stanley at night and attempts to invoke The Promise they made to watch each others' backs by getting him to betray Luz for a cut of the huge prize money. Stanley all but tells him to piss off, invokes Screw the Money, I Have Rules!, pimp slaps the Smug Snake into a tree after he tries to punch him and is prepared to fight the other enemies he noticed hiding in the darkness to protect his leader. If he wasn't sent to the Death Camp, he could have potentially been one of his world's first superheroes.Stanley: C’mon, Ken. You should’ve known that wouldn’t have worked. Besides, I thought we were ''friends''.
- Discovering the slaughter of part of her team, including her First Friend Julia, Luz vows to avenge their deaths, with Shigaraki's encouragement, as she takes their Quirks from their corpses, giving her seven different powers to fight with.Shigaraki: Yes, Luz! Show them the real you. The one that you had buried for so long! You allowed them to control you for years, allowed them to tell you that you cannot be, or who you want to be! Let that anger boil to the top and flow over! Let it be one with you, let it become you. Unleash it! Unleash your true self upon those that took, and took, and took from you! You are above them all, and will forever be! They toyed with you, made you their plaything, and when they were done playing with you they discarded you and threw you into this camp and left you to rot! I’ve told you this before, so it bears not repeating, but you should not allow them to get away with this! This is all their fault! Let the anger you’ve let sit for years rise. Here, in this domain, you are free to do whatever you please! Do unto them what they did to you! Show them how they messed up! Show them what happens when you toy with God! Luz Noceda, do what you know you have to, and KILL THEM ALL!
- After Luz sends her remaining teammates away to safety and waits nearly two whole days with no food, water, and very little sleep for the perpetrators to come back, they arrive expecting an easy kill. The second All For One user quickly proves them wrong by bringing down the large boy Kennedy just ordered to murder her first by using her new Vibration Manipulation Quirk to make his heart explode. After absorbing his Super-Strength Quirk, she gains Shigaraki's red eyes and gives a Psychotic Smirk to the now terrified teenage killers who are having a Deer in the Headlights reaction. And with a foreboding tone of voice, she uttered the four words that would make everyone in the immediate area shiver in fear and would cause everything to go downhill from there, and make the date of July 2nd, 2018, to go down in history as The Massacre of Fools.Luz: (Slasher Smile) Now… it’s my turn.
Chapter 12
- Throughout the chapter, the "fight" between Luz and the 20 other Quirk users is very one-sided in the former's favor with only one escaping with her life because Luz let her do so. As foreshadowed in chapter 8, she rightfully calls them out on killing her new friends which turns into a case of The Hunter Becomes the Hunted. As brutal as it is and not a heroic thing to do, many readers were cheering seeing Luz asserting "Black Air Force Activity" to avenge her fallen comrades.
- The next one Luz takes down is a boy that pulls a Leeroy Jenkins with a Triple Impact Quirk... not knowing of her newly acquired Super-Toughness that allows her to No-Sell the punch. She then proceeds to tear out his heart and crush it before taking his Quirk in front of his horrified accomplices.Luz: (Red Eyes, Take Warning) I have no sympathy for cruel, heartless monsters such as yourselves. (Power Echoes) The moment you came here and needlessly slaughtered my friends… Your powers…. Your lives… they became forfeit.
- During her Roaring Rampage of Revenge, Darlene, the girl that killed Julia, tries to take down Luz the same way she killed her friend with Impaled with Extreme Prejudice via her Absurdly Sharp Claws. However, Luz is barely slowed down her Healing Factor and uses Julia's Vines to break the killer's wrist. Taking notes from what Shigaraki told her about how she can combine Quirks together, she uses her Combat Tentacles while using the Playing with Fire Quirk in conjunction to burn her badly. The Evil Red Head tries to flee after a teammate with Spring Coil limbs comes to her aide but Luz steals his Quirk, kills him, catches the Dark Action Girl with her new Quirk, takes her superpower, and proceeds to use the same Head Crushing with her Super-Strength, effectively avenging Julia's murder.
- By the climax of her Gotta Kill Them All spree, Luz has now acquired 28 Quirks. That's 20 in the space of a few minutes. She saves Kennedy, the mastermind of her friend's slaughter, for last and proceeds to stab him the ankles with Spear Fingers to prevent him from escaping her wrath.Luz: (Quizzical Tilt) Oh, Kennedy~! Where the fuck do you think you’re going!
- Luz proceeds to go There Is No Kill Like Overkill on her final victim, Kennedy Jennkins. To be clear: after mutating to express those Quirks, Luz's left "arm" is bigger than the entire rest of her body, and is wrapped in thorny vines and metal spikes sticking out of a pile of stitched-together flesh. It's an abomination that wouldn't look out of place on a demon from The Boiling Isles, and looks even more monstrous attached to the teenage girl. It's very reminiscent of the same move All For One used to attempt to finish off All Might in their final battle. As she attacks and finishes off Kennedy, she makes it clear he brought his demise on himself and his Quirk isn't worth stealing before crushing him to death, completely averting If You Kill Him, You Will Be Just Like Him!Kennedy: N-No! P-Please! I-I-I’ll do anything! Anything at all! J-Just please, please don’t kill me!Luz: Funny… I bet that’s what Julia said, too. Then you killed her and desecrated her corpse with that power of yours. A power you don’t deserve… And while I’d normally take it like I did everyone else's, yours revolts me. So, keep your power… it’s not like you’ll be using it for much longer, anyway.
- When Luz suffers a Heroic RRoD from having too many Quirks, she hears that the 3 soldiers she was just about to fight came here to rescue her and her friends, as well as have Governor Rodger Maxwell in their custody to answer for his crimes, before she loses consciousness. The sane part of humanity is finally here to help the surviving kidnapped kids from their ordeal.
Chapter 13
- When Shigaraki explains to Luz that her max limit is only 10 Quirks at a time, Luz says 10 Quirks is already a lot. The Evil Mentor's response shows she hasn't even come close to her full potential.Rikitasu Shigaraki: Kid… at my prime, before my nemesis killed me, I had over a thousand Quirks flowing through my body, with another thousand deposited in a mountain of corpses that I could pull from at any moment and time. 10 is a drop in an ocean of uselessness.
- Shigaraki also lets his successor know that it's possible to travel across The Multiverse, meaning it won't be too long until Luz reaches The Boiling Isles and possibly explore the My Hero Academia universe.
- Pastor Domenico has no problems calling out the Wittebanes' bigotry as a blight on their community and their role in their daughter's demise, stating that Julia's death should be avenged.
- When Luz hears about the Wittebanes' plans and their role in their daughter's murder, she is so outraged that she vows to stop them even if it means has to take more lives to stop them.
Season 2 - Hunt for the Wittebanes Saga
Arc 4 - Summer Break Shenanigans
Chapter 14
- The opening of the chapter 14 that former Governor Rodger Maxwell has been sentenced to life in prison for his many crimes, without the possibility of parole. While many readers were hoping that Luz would kill him too, its good to know that the governor wasn't able to pull a Karma Houdini on his many crimes and won't see the light of day. The justice system, has prevailed.
- Luz, taking Shigaraki's advice, has taken up an exercise regiment in a nearby forest to increase the number of Quirks her body can hold at a time and fight off the Addictive Magic urge. In a month, she goes from a scrawny kid to having an impressive athletic physique for a teenaged girl. Her goal for herself Is to become the Symbol of Justice and Fear.
- Camila gets a more mild but noteworthy one. With the Quirk her daughter gave her, Repair, has improved her Veterinarian skills to the point that she now runs her very own animal hospital. Thanks to that, she and her daughter no longer live in that small lower-class house and are able to afford a better home for 2 to have a fresh start.
- Later, one of Luz's former bullies tries to antagonise her at a Donut Shop, only for the All For One user to show she's having none of that and push her to the ground. When the Alpha Bitch starts mouthing off, Luz inflicts enough pain in her shoulder for her to scream and threaten to do worse if she doesn't leave her alone. According to her, this the first time she ever stood up to one of her bullies.
- Luz recounts a time when she punched a cop into a telephone pole for making a racist remark about her mother after he accused her of speeding. While did have to spend time in a police cell for that, many readers believed the Bigot with a Badge deserved it.
- In the second half of the chapter, Luz makes her debut as All For One the Vigilante Man who's costume consists of a Cool Mask that goes with her Badass in a Nice Suit outfit. She makes her presence known to a pair of bank robbers, who kidnapped a teenager while escaping the police because They Know Too Much, by using her Absurdly Sharp Claws to grab their car radio and ends up ripping the entire car in half, scaring them out of the second half of their getaway vehicle. After tanking a shotgun blast, Luz decides the hell with it and kicks their ass, non-lethally.
- The subsequent chapters, its revealed that the second All For One user has gained enough of a crimefighting rep to be noticed and appreciated by the locals.
Chapter 15
- After finding out the local Police Chief has been making her Luz's life more difficult by making her Persona Non Grata in the local facilities, Camila calls out the Dirty Cop for abusing his position to stack the deck against her daughter and violate her human rights. While doesn't make the Smug Snake budge, it shows that Luz's mom fully intends to keep her vow to never fail her daughter again.
- Luz has been taking initiative in getting around being banned everywhere. Banned from a store? Use Amazon. Need to learn something? YouTube had learning and school channels. If she needed more tools for education? Khan Academy works, to.
Chapter 16
- The beginning of the chapter, is darkly villainous one for All For One and his Evil Plan involving Luz. You'd think his death at All Might's hands would've caused him to have a Heel Realization or decide to become a Retired Monster and act as a Spirit Advisor for his Quirk's successor. Hell no. He merely views his situation of being dead and trapped in a child's mind as a temporary inconvenience.
- All For One has been to The Boiling Isles before and intends to find a way to get there again. During the supervillain's time there, he turned a few of the natives into his moles, including a few in the Emperor's Coven! He had enough charisma to convince the cult-like loyal elite devotes belonging to Emperor Belos to come work for him instead. Sounds like sounds like Luz is getting a cult-following when she goes to the Demon Realm for some much needed allies. Oh boy, imagine Emperor Belos's face when he finds that out.
- All For One admitted to Luz a while back that Taking Over The World was his purpose in life back in "The Mutant Realm" he originated from. Now intends to add the "The Demon Realm" and possibly Luz's home world to his conquest as well. It appears that his end goal is to become a Multiversal Conqueror over three realms, possibly more. That's Ambition Is Evil fit for a True Final Boss and might very well have the means and drive to pull it off left unchecked.
- Another villainous one. The climax with the chapter not only reveals that Emperor Belos is working with his (possible) descendants (without them knowing) to deal with the superhumans. He has the means in this story to communicate and travel to the Human Realm, due to Shigaraki's brief meddling in the Boiling Isles a decade ago. The last part checks out with Millie confirmed to be an actual witch from his Coven.
- Emperor Belos also confirms to have met the previous All For One user, possibly fighting him. As in All For One vs. Emperor Belos. Evil Versus Evil. He also mentions that the Card-Carrying Villain almost foiled his Final Solution plan when he raised hell on The Boiling Isles and sees him and his successor as a legitimate to be eliminated.
Chapter 17
- This chapter has Luz being held at gunpoint by a Right-Wing Militia Fanatic. Her first response is politely ask him what he wants with a Seen It All attitude, until he fires a warning shot scaring away the other shoppers. She simply disarms the gunman by grabbing the rifle out of his hands and crushes it with mere squeeze with one hand, scaring him off his feet.Luz: (Tranquil Fury) Now. I don’t think I have to tell you how stupid that was.
- She also notes scared off the last two people that raised a gun on her with just a Death Glare. Guess they knew better than to cross out Anti-Hero.
- After being mortally wounded by gunshots from behind by more Church Militants, the Latina girl's Healing Factor allows her to survive her gunshots wounds and regrow a new arm while her assailants have a Mass "Oh, Crap!" expression on their faces. Luz grabs the first gunman by the neck and uses him as a Human Shield against his comrades' next salvo of lead. She then proceeds to smack the next gunman so hard with her Super-Strength that she caves in his chest, killing him, taking down in 2 threats in short order.
- The third one is revealed to be superhuman, later named as Derreck, with a Multi-Armed and Dangerous Quirk that can meshed to together as Giant Hands of Doom. The hitman is able to break Luz's Absurdly Sharp Claws when she tried to stab him and proceeds to send her flying through multiple aisles until she hits the wall. After Luz takes him down with her Deadly Force Field and stealing his Quirk, she even considers him a Worthy Opponent at the end of a fight for giving her so much trouble, equating their battle to something out of a manga.
- Not long after Luz has been reduced to Ludicrous Gibs by her traitorous cousin's Bomb Quirk and everyone assumes she's been put down for good, she simply pulls herself back together with her improved Healing Factor faster than the cops can shoot at her. Cue Mass "Oh, Crap!" from everyone fighting against her. Shigaraki aware of the scene unfolding, wasn't at all worried or surprised at all that his successor would live.Luz should have died. By all rights, Luz’s life should have ended right then and there. But Shigaraki knew better. He had come back from worse before, and so he knew how this was going to go. Because… Luz. Didn’t. Die.
- After having to put up with her months of being a Cosmic Plaything to Fantastic Racism, All of the Other Reindeer, Persona Non Grata, Dirty Cops, Assassination Attempts and topping off with an attempted Kinslaying Is a Special Kind of Evil... the second All For One user is going to show they've been poking the bear the whole time. Luz Noceda is angry, and when Luz Noceda is angry, people start dying.Luz could barely see anything. That was how furious she had been. That was how angry she had been. And thus… She gave in to her hate.
Chapter 18
- Luz coming back from the brink, disregarding her self-restraint that's held her back for months and let people in power make her life more difficult as a result, and basically eliminating the entire police squad sent to arrest her with her Deadly Force Fields creating massive explosions, including the Smug Snake Police Chief that has prevented her living normal life and moving on ever since got out of hospital.
- While fighting Riley and Milly, Luz levels the entire supermarket they were fighting in before, making it look like it was hit by an airstrike. while its a far cry from Shigaraki's devastation at Kamino Ward but the Emperor's Coven member momentarily compares its power to be on par with Emperor Belos, the most powerful sorcerer on the Boiling Isles.Millie: To think that someone so young can match the Emperor himself… perhaps she may even rival him?
- The All For One user effectively turns the fight between her and the assassins into a case of The Hunter Becomes the Hunted. Tanking and blocking their attacks, even seemingly perform a Flash Step when delivering Death from Above in the form of Giant Hands of Doom, narrowly missing. The 2 panicking hitwomen compare her to a Physical God, making them decide its a Hopeless Boss Fight and pull a Screw This, I'm Outta Here before they lose their Quirk and their lives to the angry teen.
- When Luz is about to have a My God, What Have I Done? moment, Shigaraki snaps her out of it in a way a villain can.Rikitasu Shigaraki: It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks or believes. Judge yourself on your own morals. Not anyone else's.
- Now realizing she has no chance of a normal life, Luz informs her mother she intends to track down and kill the Wittebanes and end this war once and for all.
- When Riley and Millie return, Tyler Wittebane is NOT happy with their failure and that he's down to just 4 superhuman assassins, which isn't going to be enough to take down Luz. He decides to request the Golden Guard from Emperor Belos as reinforcements. Hunter may be coming to the Human Realm to take on Luz.
Arc 5 - Death To Normality
Chapter 19
- Despite being in great pain, believing she failed as a mother and knowing she's going to die alone with only her would-be murderer as witness, Camila has the fortitude to Face Death with Dignity and Go Out with a Smile. She tells Jonah she has had a fulfilling life and believing Luz will succeed in avenging her murder, denying him the satisfaction of begging for life and showing fear.Camila: (Smiles) I-I’d rather die then… I’ve already lived a fulfilling life… the only regret I have is making my baby go to that horrid camp…
- On the way to the Wittebane Mega Church, Luz is confronted by another squadron of 8 cops holding her at gun-point. The unimpressed All For One user, warns them that the last group of cops that tried this didn't work out for them.Luz: Now… I don’t think I need to tell you guys how much of a dumb idea this is, do I?The last group of police got turned into smears on the road for attempting this. So long as you don’t fire your guns—any of you—you all can go home, have dinner with your families, and forget about what it is that happened today, kay?” (Narrows her flashing red eyes, as she smirks). Of course, we can also do things the fun way, but that’s up to you.
- Not long afterwards a new villain appears, Sophia Humbolt, and rallies the scared cops by pointing out that Luz just became a Cop Killer and their fallen brothers and sisters deserve justice. One angry one shoots the teen girl through the shoulder but its nothing her Healing Factor can't fix.
- The new assassin starts the fight by firing a basketball-sized Energy Ball at the cops but Luz intercepts it with her Forcefield Projection. Despite the Gravesfield PD having been the ones who gave her a lot of grief the past month, that doesn’t stop her from trying to save as many lives as she could. She wasn’t a monster. She wasn’t a villain. She wasn’t going to be like him.
- The red Energy Ball is actually able to shatter Luz's barrier, the first time any opponent could do that and send her rocketing into a nearby store. This causes serious damage to Luz's body and the only reason she survives is due to her insane Healing Factor.
- The Wittebane assassin introduces herself as Sophia, giving a Badass Boast that she'll kill her and that her Quirk is called "Limitless". Yes, that Limitless used by Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen. Man, Shigaraki will flip his shit if Luz gets this Story-Breaker Power and it's as powerful as it is in JJK or has the potential as the JJK version because damn, if you thought luz was OP as hell before...Sophia Humbolt: So, it’s true. You regenerate pretty quickly, All For One. Not only that, but you also don’t appear to be in any pain. Interesting… very very interesting indeed. My power, Limitless, will prove that beyond all else, even a giant like yourself can fall. As a member of The Wittebane Church’s Militia unit, I, Sophia Humbolt, was given orders to have you killed. Prepare to Die, girl.
Chapter 20
- In this Chapter: Luz Noceda vs. Sophia Humbolt. The assassin fires a blue Energy Ball that crumples the girl's forcefield like paper and tries to suck her in like a black hole. It destroys her arm and sends her flying into another store. After repairing herself she sends her Spear Fingers at her for only for Sophia to easily side-step them and the assassin to fire a red Energy Ball knocking her through another wall into another building like a ragdoll. This is definitely Luz's toughest opponent yet.
- Recognising Luz is struggling, Shigaraki advises her to try some more Ability Mixing. By using both Multiplier and Forcefield Projection to an unimpressed Sophia, to create several forcefields forming a multi-layered barrier. Each having the same level of offense and defense capabilities as the original. The first 4 barriers fall to the red orb attack, blocking it, the last 4 are sent out, to which Luz names the attack giving anime vibes...Luz: Forcefield Cannon!
- ...However. Despite having enough power to cause a giant explosion that brings down the entire building they were in and turning the surrounding area into nothing but a crater, her foe emerges from the dust unharmed with a Badass Arm-Fold and a Psychotic Smirk declaring she can't kill her. Apparently the blue Energy Ball can act as an effective Deflector Shield, sucking up an explosion equivalent of a Hypersonic Cruise Missile strike.
Sophia: You know, this is like something ripped out of one of those oriental comic books, isn’t it? Two powerhouses fighting against one another. My Limitless versus your wide variety of powers. - The continuing battle shows Person of Mass Destruction describes the 2 Quirk users as several buildings are destroyed from each of their attacks. Luz believes if doesn't the fight soon the whole town will be turned to rubble. Later when the hitwoman fire a red blast at Luz's Forcefield Cannon, she surprises our Anti-Hero by giving a Badass Finger Snap turning the red, repelling attack into the blue, sucking attack. This gets by the teenager's Spear Fingers and forcefields, forcing Luz to retreat... giving Sophia the opening she was waiting her as Luz takes full blast of what appears to be the killing blow... But once again she survives and gets back in the fight.Sophia: Even after hitting her point blank with Red, she’s recovered almost completely. It was just as Bombardier warned. No matter how much punishment you dish out, she’ll just come back from it.
- After Luz's body puts itself back together again, she steals another Quirk from a girl that used to go to her school. Which Quirk is it? Its Zero Gravity! Ochako's power! She immediately uses it with Super-Strength to levitate the surrounding rubble more than the 3-ton limit, as well as herself, in conjunction with Airwalk, to simulate powered Flight. Sophia, instead of being intimidated, is genuinely happy to have found a Worthy Opponent. She considers death at the hands of Luz, the most powerful opponent she has ever faced, to be A Good Way to Die.
- When Jonah joins the battle, the fight becomes Two-on-One. The 2 assassins create a Combination Attack to get past Luz's multi-layered forcefields He can combined his "Smog" with Sophia's "Limitless" Red orb turning the smoke from purple to black, allowing it to eat away at Luz's barrier to let the dangerous Energy Ball through her defenses! She barely able to block it a last minute forcefield allowing to fall back away from the deadly Super Smoke.
- At the climax of chapter, Luz is finally able to put Sophia down for good when she combines "Multiplier" and "Spear Fingers" to make her Impaled with Extreme Prejudice in all her vital areas. Just as the surviving assassin tries to use his black smog to consume the girl, Luz is able to successfully steal "Limitless" and uses the blue orb to suck away the attack. Jonah calls his boss to them their down another comrade and their target just got a massive Power-Up, requiring back-up.
Chapter 21
- The battle continues in Luz's favor against Jonah, No Selling his giant punches with her Shock Absorption, even when using his Super Smoke to mimic her Multi-Armed and Dangerous power and can bypass her Pain Nullification. Jonah only lasts as long as he did due to his Intangibility.
- After Jonah tricks Luz into believing she just killed her own mother with her Forcefield Cannon when Charlie teleports her corpse in the attack, she about to go into a Heroic BSoD which is All According to Plan for The Sociopath. What they didn't count on, was the Evil Mentor Spirit Advisor living in the girl's head to bring her out of it with Get A Hold Of Yourself Man pep-talk invoking The Power of Hate and to Pay Evil unto Evil which helps strengthen her resolve.Shigaraki: Calm yourself. Focus… You can grieve later. Channel that anger and despair you are feeling, and use it against your enemies. Push past this, and bring your wrath down on your foes!
- As the dust settled when after firing a hail of heavy-duty, military-grade gunfire, along with 3 flamethrowers, several grenade launchers, and multiple rocket launchers onto Luz, Jonah believes she done for. He's about to tell Tyler the mission is complete... unlike he hears a choking sound to his right and sees his partner in crime having his heart torn out and crushed by a burnt but still alive and regenerating Luz Noceda before taking his Quirk in front of the now terrified Giant Mook who collaspses onto the ground in fear.
- Luz completely No Sells the smog Enhanced Punches from this mountain of a man that murdered her mother, thanks to her Super-Toughness and is radiating black and red lightning. She delivers this Pre-Mortem One-Liner (below is translated into from Spanish to English) before the monster meets his end with Luz's Finishing Stomp on his head before he has chance to avoid it, crushing his skull. She avenged her mother's demise just like Camila believed she would.Luz: You can run away. You can hide. You can call the authorities all you want. But nothing less than God himself will stop me from finding you and making you pay for your crimes. And in this godless world, that God is me.
- Not long after that, Riley appears and tries to tries to apologise for trying to kill her and explain why she did, but Luz is having none it. She blames Riley for the carnage that transpire today, including her mother's murder, then steals her Quirk "Bomb Touch" and proceeds to kill her with it.Riley: Luz… I… I know y-you’re probably very, very mad at me… but you have to understand that I w-wasn’t given a choice…Luz: Shut up. This is your fault… all of this. Everything that happened today… It was all on you. So do me a favour, and die.
- Shortly after that, Millie attacks Luz fully-intending on Avenging the Villain using various spells in her arsenal on the teenager. Luz is able to withstand and counter the emperor's coven officer's magic with her Ability Mixing Quirks.
- On a side note, Jacob Hopkins gets killed in the crossfire. And There Was Much Rejoicing.
- When all her spells fail to put the second All For One user down, the witch, in desperation, tries to punch her in the face... which proves to be even less effective thanks to Shock Absorption. Luz then gives her a first-hand demonstration of a real punch, enhanced by Super-Strength and Spring Coil, knocking the petite creature off her Flying Broomstick, breaking her nose and ending the tough fight.
- Just as Luz is about to cripple Millie from the waist down, someone rushes in and rescues her with Super-Speed. Its Hunter the Golden Guard finally making his appearance as a last resort to take down the All For One user!
- Many readers were worried that Hunter fighting Luz would be a Curb-Stomp Battle in the latter's favor followed by a brutal death. Turns out, thanks to Shigaraki, has not one, not two but four different and powerful Quirks in his possession, becoming an Empowered Badass Normal in this story. Not only that but thanks to his Grimwalker physiology he doesn't to be suffering any ill-effects from having that many Quirks in him, a trait shared only with Gigantomachia, All For One wielders and One For All users. Oh and Luz, they can't be stolen by your Power Parasite Quirk either even if you had empty slots available. And he probably has had a decade of training with his Quirks, too. Have fun.
- According to Shigaraki, he was able to convince the Golden Guard to become The Mole to him in the emperor's coven and could be a future potential ally, and much needed one for Luz, who's running short on allies, and is about to test her mettle. Although considering his judging look, he may fight not only because of Just Following Orders but to also avenge the dead innocent bystanders of Luz's fights.
Hunter: Very well. Let’s make this quick, shall we? (Activates Quirks) I am the Golden Guard of Emperor Belos. And you, All For One, will not be leaving this place.''
Arc 6 - AFO versus The Golden Guard
Chapter 22
- The chapter starts the fight showing Hunter can right through Luz's forcefield with his Absurdly Sharp Sword made of Hard Light with one strike. The All For One user notes if that attack it she would've turned into Half the Man He Used to Be.
- The Golden Guard's wings made of light are powerful enough to create enough force to make a shockwave that blasted away all the rubble around them with a light flapping.
- After closing the gap, he slices Luz vertically with his sword like butter, and not only did it do that, but is able to bypass her Pain Nullification. To Luz's credit, she's able to hold back a scream of pain as her Healing Factor kicks in.
- Luz is able to hit her new opponent with a Red Energy Ball, destroying half his body from the waist up. Luz smirks, believing that it was over…. Because, it should’ve been. So, Luz was really shocked when she watched as his entire upper body reformed out of light particles, clothing and all, acting like he was never injured. To her frustration, she feel the smirk he had under his helmet. The Golden Guard: You’re going to have to try harder than that, All For One.Luz: (With eyes widened) ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? SHIGARAKI! YOU DIDN’T TELL ME I WAS FIGHTING A KIZARU KNOCK-OFF!!!
- According to Shigaraki, his Lightbringer Quirk wasn’t that strong when he first gifted it to him a decade ago. He speculates awaken it since then from training with it non-stop.
- Immediately afterwards, Hunter basically pimp slaps Luz through an entire block of houses with seemingly little effort. It takes all of the girl's willpower to not become Blinded by Rage by that.
- When she gets back into the fight, Luz about to be hit by a point-bank light beam from her opponent. Just in time, she raises her Forcefield Projection to block it. The All For One user then fires it at him with a Red Energy Ball. Just as both were going to hit, Hunter splits himself apart into light particles to dodge it.
- The Golden Guard decides to engage with his Laser Blade now as Luz puts up forcefield after forcefield. As one was destroyed, another took its place to block his strikes. It was clear that, unlike Luz, The Golden Guard was trained in combat—Shigaraki had assumed as such. The way he followed up each swing one after another without tiring, and the way he seemed to command the fight was unparalleled to her previous opponents who were sloppy at best and unable to fight at worst—the only reason Luz was able to get those attacks in was because she had caught him off guard. Now, he was completely in the zone.
- Luz tries to activate Multiplier and Limitless for a combo, only for the Golden Guard to cut the extra arms off, round-house kick her into the ground and fire a laser beam for good measure. Luckily, Luz is able to block that last attack with her full-powered forcefield.
- When the teen girl internally rants she has nothing to counter him with, despite having 15 different Quirks, Shigaraki decides to tell her he's been holding back the entire time, something that scares her.Shigaraki: Every blow he delivers is restrained. If he really wanted to kill you, Luz, he would’ve done so already. I was right, he’s only testing you.
- Luz next fires a Blue Energy Ball to suck up Hunter's light particles like a black hole, believing she just found his weakness... only to reveal he has a Healing Factor, too, albeit it still hurts him.
- Hunter tries to pull a What the Hell, Hero? on Luz pointing out all the Collateral Damage her fights caused only for the girl to call out his hypocrisy as he contributed to it.
- The 2 clash with their next big attacks. Hunter charges a powerful, explosive light beam, while Luz delivers an Enhanced Punch from the combination of her Super-Strength, Spring Coil and Giant Hands of Doom Quirks. Both attacks hit at the same time, and the 2 combatants are sent flying in opposite directions. Of the 2, it appears Luz to the most damage but its nothing her Super Regeneration can't fix up.
- When Luz asks Shigaraki for more information on her opponents Quirks, her Evil Mentor refuses to divulge beyond the first 2 telling her she needs to Figure It Out Yourself.Shigaraki: Because if I did that, then what would be the point? Just because I’m your mentor does not mean I am obliged to give you all the answers. I can’t coddle you. If you are to be a true successor to All For One, you need to figure it out on your own. Just because you have a plethora of abilities does not make up for a lack of problem-solving. I didn’t get anywhere in the world without figuring out my problems for myself.
- Just as Luz is about to go after Hunter, she's hit repeatedly by his Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs created out of Hard Light that overwhelms her Shock Abosrption and sending the girl flying into the air.
- Recovering, the second All For One user puts up a massive forcefield, before sending out a barrage of Spear Fingers enhanced by Multiplier, only for The Golden Guard to be more than able to dodge them all in flight.
- Desperate, Luz fires 5 red Limitless orbs from the many hands, with only one hitting its mark... That’s when Luz smirks, snaps her fingers, and transformed the Red into Blue like Sophia had, giving Hunter his first Oh, Crap! moment throughout the whole fight as he almost gets sucked in.
- Having taken a Quirk from a kid earlier in a Godzilla Threshold move, Luz decides to might as well use it. She creates basketball-sized Fireballs from the Flamethrower power that explode after the Golden Guard cuts them in half. This distracts him enough for Luz to use the same Enhanced Punch earlier to send him into the ground and shatter his mask. This hints to the girl Hunter was tiring out and she plans to invoke Victory by Endurance in her Heroic Second Wind.Luz: Round Two, Golden Guard. And this time, I’ll defeat you.
Chapter 23
- The fight between Luz and Hunter continues on. Luz tanks his golden lances and retaliates with a massive, street-wide column of fire that sends him flying back yet again. Yet he's unharmed by the Flamethrower attack, sans Clothing Damage.
- Just as the Golden Guard gets his bearings back, Luz decks him in the face by a massive arm, sending the boy into the asphalt ground, the resulting force making a massive crater, with the wind pressure blowing away the houses and buildings surrounding them.
- Being pressured, The Golden Guard to switch gears and uses another Quirk: Selective-Gigantism. It causes his right arm swelled up the size of a house uses to swat the All For One wielder away. He notes its something he typically uses against bigger enemies and it too is an Awakened Quirk.
- Hunter's loyalties are revealed to be not with Emperor Belos or Shigaraki (seeing them both as the horrible people they really are) but to the citizens of his homeland. He plans on moulding Luz to be the liberator of The Boiling Isles. He also notes he won't and can't kill her.
- Just as the Golden Guard is about to pull a Screw This, I'm Outta Here back to the Demon Realm, Luz grabs him and drags across the asphalt... Vine Tentacles? She's got Julia's Quirk back!
- Taking advantage of Luz's Heroic RRoD, Hunter uses his Giant Hands of Doom to punch her into the ground. The shockwave of the attack travelled for miles, tearing up more buildings and houses, and leaving a massive crater in its wake. Despite this Luz still walks it off.
- Just as it looks like Luz has finally met her match to the Golden Guard, unable to continue fighting and hit a Despair Event Horizon... Her body becomes enveloped by red lightning, her last of her brown hair turns completely white as it stands on ends and her Mental Landscape changes dramatically. Shigaraki laughs in pure joy as Luz was able achieve something in a month that he was never able to do in his century-long life: Luz has Awakened the All For One Quirk!Shigaraki: Out of all of my years of living, I have never seen this happen! I never even thought it was possible! It happened! It finally happened!! ALL FOR ONE HAS FINALLY AWAKENED!!!!
- Free from pain as she gains a Heroic Second Wind, Luz turns the tables on Hunter and slams her fist into his chest with her enhanced Super-Strength, shattering his armour and sending him flying up and out of the building from the same hole that Luz had earlier been through.
- Going after him, she activates Multiplier sprouting 25 arms from her back. Only now they're the size and width of buses, eclipsing the portion of the sky that Luz took up, covering the street below in shadow.
- The Golden Guard prepares lances of light to throw at Luz, only to stop and notice she wasn't done. 5 of the arms were charging up massive columns of blue fire, another set of 5 had a mix of Blue and Red Energy Balls, another set of 5 arms were turning their fingers sharp with actual blades and can bend, another set of 5 were creating massive amounts of Vines and the final set of 5 created 5 human-sized forcefields. There's No Kill like Overkill is there, Luz.Luz: CHAOS VOLLEY!
- Luz fires all of the attacks at once. Vines and Spear Fingers the size of trees came down on The Golden Guard, who created a light sword, cutting through as many of them as he could. Flamethrower’s flames came down upon him as he ducked and weaved with his Flight, the columns chasing after him as if they were heat-seeking, juggling keeping the vines and fingers away as he spun in circles, able to avoid it all.
- And then came the Red and Blue Limitless. As they got closer to their target, they fuse into 2 and become Purples, (as in Hollow Purple) both of which flew even faster than before. As the Purple Orbs came into contact with his body, and as it basically erased it, it didn’t explode on contact as the others. Instead, they keep on going, hit the ground, and drilled holes, causing asphalt, corpses, trees, grass, and anything in a 5-meter radius around the Purples to be sucked in, before finally evaporating once they had gotten to the center of Gravesfield.Shigaraki: And it not just All For One, but as a result, every Quirk stored within from now until forever has been Awakened! This is the very thing I wanted, but could never do! It is all thanks to you, Luz Noceda!
- Just when looks like Luz has claimed victory... Hunter stabs her In the Back with his light sword and cuts her in half. Nothing her enhanced Healing Factor can't fix though, not even leaving scars now. He explains he used the combination of 2 speed Quirks to dodge, leaving an afterimage.Hunter: (Smirks) I have four Quirks. Lightbringer, Regeneration, Selective-Gigantism, and my favourite of them all, Overclock. That last one is what saved me.
- That's right, you heard right, that Overclock.
- Not long afterwards, he cuts Luz up several hundred times before she can react, the force of which blows her back. He then follows up with his Giant Hands of Doom punch before the girl has a chance to bring up her forcefield sending her flying into a police station, causing it to collapse on top of her. Despite the power boost, Hunter is NOT going down easy.
- Just as he's about to hit her with another Enhanced Punch, this time she successfully brings up her buffed Forcefield Projection. The blow leaves the barrier undamaged, much to the boy's surprise, even after the impact creates a shockwave destroying several buildings, driving a smirking Luz deep into the floor.
- Luz fires several exploding forcefields at the Golden Guard, which he dodges with a Flash Step trying to pull a No, I Am Behind You on the second user of All For One. Unluckily, for him Luz anticipated this and ensnares him with her Vine Tentacles from the ground underneath.Luz: You’re so predictable. I awakened all of my Quirks. Meaning they’ve all gotten stronger. Now I’m at least somewhat on par with you!
- Hunter, now getting tired from using Overclock, desperate from how much more dangerous his opponent has become and only has 10 minutes to finish the fight before his portal closes, decides to pull a Godzilla Threshold. He flies high above town, with Luz chasing after him, and sucks in a massive gulp of air. He activates his Selective-Gigantism enlarged his entire body. He became so large, that people from across the state could see him!
- Using 10 seconds he had in this form and using it conjunction with his Super-Speed, Hunter throws a punch so fast that it was a blur and Luz can't dodge it, shattering all 80 of her massive barriers.
The resulting blast could’ve been felt from the nearest city all the way to the edges of New York. It physically shook the southern part of The United States of America and left destruction for hundreds of thousands of kilometres. - As Hunter returns to the Boiling Isles, the Grimwalker believes he had just killed Luz with his Finishing Move, he suddenly vomits black ooze from which Luz crawls out of the small puddle of goo. Her "Warping" Quirk has been boosted too, allowing her to escape the attack just in time. She then punches him in face, chews him out for his role in her hometown's destruction and heads off to explore this new world.
- It took Luz up to twenty-three whole chapters (and the author over a year), but she finally makes it to the Demon Realm.Shigaraki: Luz… you did it. You made it to where you need to be. Welcome… To The Boiling Isles.
Season 3 - The Boiling Isles Saga
Part 1: Arc 7 - A Late Start To A Wacky World
Chapter 24
- A villainous example in . According to records, Emperor Belos (supposedly) ended the 10-year war against All For One with his sludge monster form, driving him back to his dimension with no means to come back. He also likely used this event to increase his Villain with Good Publicity status making the populous worship him even more.
- Another bad guy example but for Shigaraki instead. With his experiments on the witch population, he successfully replicated One For All! He did it by giving replica powers that made it in the first place (Quirk Bestowal and Stockpile) to two witch parents and letting them procreate with the child inheriting them. Who's the child is question? Amity Blight! She may not have her abomination magic like in the show as a result but she more than makes up for it by being a Lightning Bruiser.
- An understated example, but the experience with All For One gave Odalia a Jerkass Realization and Took a Level in Kindness, giving Amity the mother she wanted and needed in the show.
Chapter 25
- Luz Noceda becomes Toshiko Shigaraki: The Clever Child of Death.
- When Toshiko mortally wounds Gilbert Park in front of Willow in an act of self-defence, she uses her new Healing Hands aspect of her "Super Regeneration" to save his life. To Eda this is proof she's better person than the other Shigaraki that terrorised the Isles.
- The Owl Lady remembers when All For One invaded the Boiling Isles and it took a Godzilla Threshold of teaming up with Emperor Belos and Lilith to drive him back to the Mutant Realm, where he came from, and win the war for the Isles. Even so, it involved Emperor Belos's sludge monster form and Lilith getting maimed in the process to accomplish this feat.
- For her contributions in the war effort, Eda is a recognised war hero despite her covenless status and Emperor Belos pardoned her for crimes as a thank you (most likely done out of Pragmatic Villainy), now she is (mostly) left alone by the authorities, as gratitude.
- Eda implies that the sight of Toshiko won't go well with King. But she's not worried about his safety, she's worried about Toshiko's. Adaptational Badass is hinted that King has the power to match his ego to take on the young All For One user.
Chapter 26
- Led by Gus, Amity discovers an entire Underground City directly underneath Bonesborough full of Mushroom Houses and glow-shrooms in the place of street lights via Secret Underground Passage to get away from the Fantastic Caste System. It has its own facilities like its own school, library, museum and even a colosseum the size of Hexside School of Magic and Demonics at its centre. Apparently it was started being built after the Ten-Year War ended, as a passion project for All For One's ideals. And who spearheaded this undertaking? Gus's dad, Perry Porter!Gus: Welcome to The Underdark. A town that The Emperor doesn’t know about. A safe haven for those who had rejected society and cast aside the law. It’s been a passion project of my fathers ever since the end of the Ten-Year War following The Principals of The Interloper. Strength Above Status, Ideals Above Rules, and Emotions Above Morals.
- Keep in mind, an entire functional city for social outcasts was being built for 14 years without being discovered by Emperor Belos or his elite coven. This is a massive step up from being a mere news reporter bit-character from the show.
- When Gus explains to his father who Amity is, he goes from suspicious to overjoyed: seeing the girl and her family as a potential ally to overthrow Emperor Belos! Hearing someone going by the name Shigaraki in the area, it seems Toshiko will get some much needed comrades to take down the Wittebanes once and for all. And they didn't even need to hear about the Day of Unity either.Perry: The time has come. The revolution will soon begin. For the sake of our glorious leader, we will prevail.
- As Amity prepares herself for the Deadly Game, it appears Underestimating Badassery is in full effect here and the One For All user plans to take full advantage to win.
Chapter 27
- Toshiko is confronted by King who is not the little guy as he is in the show. He's become so big and intimidating that the normally stoic Toshiko is doing all she can to not show fear in the presence of the Titan. This King looks like he throw down with the All For One wielder, as he possesses magical abilities.
- With her appearance resembling All For One's, King tells Toshiko to beat it before he takes his anger out on her. Instead of running away, the girl smirks wanting to test her powers on the monster. She makes a deal with him: If he can beat her unconscious within a full minute she'll leave. But, if can't she'll fight back and he has to take her to his home. The King of Demons accepts the challenge.Toshiko: How about this, I’ll give you a full minute to beat me into submission. If you can render me unconscious, once I wake up, I’ll leave. But, if you fail to do so, I get to retaliate against you, and then, you’ll take me to your home. Sound fair?
- The battle begins with King smacking Toshiko high into the sky within a blink of an eye, before she can re-orientate herself the young Titan catches up to her In a Single Bound much to her surprise and smacks her again with his giant paw. This causes his claws to dig through her clothes and into her stomach, leaving three jagged claw marks through her lower torso. But she regenerates from it.
- After that, the great beast rains down hammer-fists onto her into the ground before he gathers fire around his mouth, and shoots a massive beam of heat down onto Toshiko. Its described as looking like a plasma blast, and the intense heat had burned away her clothing, and leaves 3rd degree burns all over her body. But she regenerates from it.
- But King Clawthorne ain't done yet. He summons several icicle spears and Toshiko’s becomes Impaled with Extreme Prejudice and proceeds to hammer her down onto them further with his giant fists. After that, the ice spikes explode into a great shockwave of Lighting Magic. But she regenerates from it.
- The monster then pulls the teen out of the ground, before throwing her so hard the force breaks the sound-barrier as she's sent through tree after tree, and rock after rock, while upturning the ground before coming to a stop. But she regenerates from it.
- Seeing she's since not done, the Titan uses Plant Magic to hold her in place for him to punch her so hard it leaves her a Torso with a View for all to see. This still doesn't take her out of the fight.King: Die...!
- As King pulls out his fist, Toshiko is almost Gutted Like a Fish and proceeds to use the tree roots to draw and quarter her. But she regenerates from it.
- After 10 seconds of rag-dolling the girl but not defeating her, he chooses to Wipe the Floor with You for a full mile, tearing up the ground as he did so. To follow up, he throws her up into the air again and charges up some Light Magic. But unlike the show it has offensive capabilities, turning them into laser beams that fill the All For One user full of holes.
- To capitalize on that, King gives his signiture Super-Scream but this attack is so powerful that the soundwaves peel off her skin and shatter her bones, bypassing her Super-Toughness. However, underneath his annoyance, Toshiko picks up on the excitement in the eyes the fellow Blood Knight.
- Running out of time, King decides to screw making a spectacle and decides to just give the white-haired teen and good old-fashioned No-Holds-Barred Beatdown. When he finally finishes, the Last Son of the Titan is exhausted both physically and magically in that full minute having never had to go that all out before, hoping she was done but...
- ...Nope! Toshiko comes Out of the Inferno of hot blue fire she summoned while brushing herself of dust no worse for wear with a smirk on her face, much to the the young Titan's shock.
Toshiko: Times up, wolfy. My turn. - The All For One wielder easily closes the gap between them and slaps into the beast's right in his face with her Super-Strength causing a great shockwave that so powerful it knocked down hundreds of trees behind it but the Titan still stands. Then, she follows up a with a column of blue fire that ends the brutal fight. It was as wide as the base of half of a hill, and it scorched the ground, tearing up the earth and dug several feet deep in the process. The flames had been localized toward its head, before it blasted out further in a cone shape. After that, it was shoved to the ground, as another cone of fire erupted upward, blasting up into the sky like a beacon.
- As soon as Eda notices the massive column of blue fire near the Owl House, the wild witch races towards it as fast she can freaking out about her family's safety from the child that she believes is related to All For One. She even considered going Godzilla Threshold and letting the Owl Beast out just so that she could get there faster, despite haven't controlled it yet.
- On a side note, Eda has been learning how to control the beast's form instead of just using potions to supress it. When she starts to lose it, King with his superior muscle power is tasked to restrain her until she's no longer a threat.
- When Eda arrives at the scene, she finds the two no worse for wear from the blast, even laughing about their brawl. Defeat Equals Friendship almost Dragon Ball Z style as one sees the other as a Worthy Opponent and potential sparring partner.
- In the Vestige Realm, Rikitatsu is aware that his Superior Successor has made contact with Eda and King Clawthorne and is surprised as last recalled leaving the Owl Lady for dead, as then weaker Titan Blinded by Rage. It seems the Owl lady has her own Healing Factor that saved her life, even if the villain notes its fickle and inconsistent.
- At the end of the chapter is a massive twist, it turns out the vestiges can gain sentience if they give their allegiance to Luz... Right, Julia?
Chapter 28
- Amity's fight in the tournament is against a four-time champion Bear Demon with black flaming fists that fights like a berserker and Would Hurt a Child. Its still a Curb-Stomp Battle in the One For All user's favor with just her Super-Strength and Super-Speed and wins her first round.
- The tournament's host is none other than Raine Whispers, who was thought to have died in the war 14 years ago. Turns out they faked their death and had been hiding out in the Underdark plotting Emperor Belos's downfall with being none the wiser.
- Yoichi is building a connection to Amity, being the original One For All user and plans to become the mentor the girl desperately needs right now and inform his peers of the situation.
- Perry Porter is proving to be quite The Chessmaster and very involved in this story. He's figured out that Amity has One For All and planted several spies (Darius in the Coven Heads, Hunter right beside Emperor Belos and his son at Hexside). He is also re-creating Nomu behind the scenes with Skara's dad and plans to reach out to Toshiko. Just goes to show how much of an impact All For One made on the man.
Arc 8 - Truth, Lies, and The Inbetween
- In chapter 29, its revealed All For One killed his own father with a Neck Snap when he discovered the man sexually abused his mother and abandoned him and his brother to fend for themselves on the streets. You can't help but root for the villain here as the man was a Politically Incorrect Villain.
- To combat the new Super Registration Act, All For One had criminal organizations like the Yakuza, and even the then-new Meta Liberation Army (likely having met up with Destro himself) as his followers to overthrow the government that's oppressing their kind. You can get a lot of Magneto vibes from this plotting.
- During the war, Eda's Healing Factor, courtesy of the Owl Beast, is what allowed her to survive a mortal wound from All For One along with an illusion and by Playing Possum. It maybe possible in future for her to learn to have both her magic AND her owl forms in this story.
- Toshiko also asks if she and King could be sparring partners to subvert their Unskilled, but Strong status. Eda even considers training with them to gain more control of her Owl Beast form and have the best of both worlds.
Part 2:
Old Version
Season 1
- A minor one in Chapter 4, Stanley Richardson shows Nerves of Steel being one of the first of the kidnapped kids to calmly question the Antagonistic Governor that orchestrated the whole thing, while everyone else was afraid to say anything at all.
- Chapter 7 once again demonstrates Luz is not a case of Good Is Dumb by realising The Governor doesn’t plan to give any money away to the winner. The moment they finish this Deadly Game, he’s either going to forcibly recruit them into the military as Super Soldiers or pull a You Have Outlived Your Usefulness on them. Luz is one smart cookie right now to figure this out before any of the other kids did.
- In the climax of the chapter, Luz gets her first Quirk from Julia, who views her new friend as a Messianic Archetype and looks like to become the first devoted cult member.
And with the way the moonlight had shone on her like she was some sort of deity, Luz became something more to her than a friend. She became her saviour. - At the end of Chapter 9, Luz is attacked by Cody, whose Quirk is Playing with Fire. As the rest of the team scatter away from his flamethrower attack, Stanley pushes one of his comrades who couldn't get away from the flames and takes the full blast... only to No-Sell it being no worse for wear due to his Super-Toughness. He then proceeds to laugh, start Knuckle Cracking and give a wordless Bring It look, which encourages his teammates that they could take on their attacker working together.
- In chapter 10, it's Luz's team vs. Cody, A five-on-one fight. The Pyromaniac is proven to be too overconfident in his abilities with Luz co-ordinating her newly formed team. The battle ends with Stanley smashing the aggressor's head repeatedly into a tree, knocking him out cold, and Luz DePowering him with her Power Parasite Quirk, giving herself a Power-Up.
