"It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks or believes. Judge yourself on your own morals. Not anyone else's."

Rikitasu is the deuteragonist of All For Luz. In life, he was a powerful supervillain and criminal mastermind with who ruled Japan in the Mutant Realm, with an iron fist for years. Rikitasu had been around since Quirks first emerged in his world. Since that time, he used his power to amass many devout followers, with whom he led in the Japanese underworld from the shadows.

He had a younger twin brother, Yoichi Shigaraki, who opposed him and became the first wielder of One For All, which was passed down until the villain's death by the hands of All Might, putting a stop to his reign of terror but left the hero severely injured.

However, Rikitasu's death ended up creating the awakening of superpowers in the Human Realm. With his spirit spawning into Luz’s mind after she inherited his Quirk, Rikitasu decides to train the girl for his own agenda: using her body and mind to get back to his home via the Boiling Isles and steal One For All before possessing her body permanently. He plans to rule over the three realms in fear of him.

Rikitasu had the powerful Emitter-Class Quirk "All For One" which was inherited by Luz when he died. He also inadvertently created One For All in the first place.

    A-E
  • Above Good and Evil: All For One doesn't believe he or Luz should be bound by society's laws and morality due to winning the Superpower Lottery.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Downplayed but there.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Downplayed. All For One claims he locked up his brother not out of cruelty, but to in a misguided attempt to protect him from the outside elements, due to his poor immune system. He was genuinely distraught when the résistance busted him because he died not long afterwards, due to exposure to the elements and lack of blood clotting. He flat out admits to himself that he didn’t care about the power that claiming One For All would give him, only that it was his brother's Quirk. He also made a genuine effort to comfort Luz when she had an emotional breakdown.
  • Admiring the Abomination: Rikitasu admits he's been to the Boiling Isles before and found the creatures and powers he saw there… to be outstanding.
  • Albinos Are Freaks: His white hair and red eyes are explained to be albinism in the story and he's a Card-Carrying Villain.
  • All According to Plan: Rikitasu on his influence on Luz to get him back to his world.
  • Ambition Is Evil: All For One has expanded his Taking Over The World Evil Plan for his realm to becoming essentially a Multiversal Conqueror, adding The Boiling Isles and Luz's home world to his conquest. (After taking over her body, first.)
  • An Offer You Can't Refuse: He has done this with various minions in the past.
  • Antagonist Abilities: The Quirk "All For One" is very powerful and can be considered the ultimate nightmare in a society that revolves around superpowers.
  • Arch-Enemy: To One for All's wielders. He's killed most of them personally and gravely injured All Might during their last battle, at the cost of his life.
  • At Least I Admit It: Despite hating his Brutal Honesty, Luz does gain a level of respect in All For One because of his attitude of his supervillain status compared to the Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist governor. Though it's more because he's a Card-Carrying Villain than a case of Even Evil Has Standards.
  • Atop a Mountain of Corpses: Eda recalls the time during the war where All For One stood on the bodies of her fellow witches that was on fire.
  • Back from the Dead: After he dies to All Might, he respawns in Luz's Mental World as she inherits his Quirk.
  • Bad Powers, Bad People: Unlike Luz, Rikitasu plays this straight. The ability to steal powers from people and forcefully implant them into others is about as villainous as it sounds.
  • Badass in a Nice Suit: All For One, his world's oldest and the most powerful Super Villain, is never seen without an impeccable black business suit in Luz's mindscape. She notes how it's almost like a metaphor, how his appearance and reputation projects the image as if he were seemingly spotless.
  • Bait the Dog: His one semi-redeeming element seemed to be his relationship with Luz, his Quirk's successor. When his soul is put in her head, he acts as an Evil Mentor of sorts giving his centuries worth of advice on how to use her Quirk, telling her she's The Chosen One, reassuring her that she shouldn't feel guilty about killing her enemies when they tried to kill her first and letting her know she doesn't have to turn out like him. In reality, she sees her as his ride back to his world and hopes Luz continues her Trauma Conga Line until she believes he's the only she count on so he can pull a Villain Override on her.
  • Been There, Shaped History: All for One was alive during the rise of Quirks in his world and became one its first supervillains, alongside the Yakuza and Meta Liberation Army who he had connections to. He also created One For All succession through his brother and wagged a 10-year war for control of the Boiling Isles with Emperor Belos and introduced Quirks to the witch population, including recreating One For All through Amity. After his death, he caused a Mass Super-Empowering Event when soul ended up in Luz's mindscape.
  • Big Bad: Having always found himself relating to comic book villain's, All For One went full throttle with the idea of being this when he was alive in his world. He is ultimately this in the story as an Enemy Within for Luz without her knowing it.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Rikitatsu has this for Yoichi but can go too far for his liking.
  • Bio-Augmentation: He had these done to his body to hold more Quirks than he could naturally have. He intends to do this to Luz's body too.
  • Blood from the Mouth: All For One coughs blood before he dies to All Might.
  • Body Backup Drive: Although more of a Body Replacement Drive in this case, is All For One's ultimate purpose for Luz, if he can't get to Tomura in his world.
  • Boxed Crook: All For One is an unrepentant villain trapped in Luz's head after his death with no way out but acts as the girl's teacher when learning how to use the Quirk she inherited from him, having nothing better to do than her his successor.
  • Break Them by Talking: Shigaraki gets under Luz's skin with his theory why she thinks her power is wrong, preying on her fears with a brutal Villain Has a Point Hannibal Lecture with a barrage Armor Piercing Questions that leaves the poor girl wondering if her own mother doesn't love her for who she is.
  • Brutal Honesty: When Luz goes over What Ifs on how she could've prevented her friends murders to herself, All For One bluntly tells her nothing she could have done would have saved them, causing the poor girl great pain and to hit her Rage Breaking Point.
  • The Bully: At his core, All For One is this. For all his power and influence, he's nothing more than a narcissistic, psychopathic bully who just wants to lord his power over everyone and everything. Case and point, his speech to Luz wasn't out of Tough Love or Villain Has a Point moment for his successor's sake, but because enjoyed tormenting the poor girl.
  • But for Me, It Was Tuesday: Averted. Toshiko asks All For One if killed Harvey Park, one of Willow's dad's, 14 years ago, he confirmed he did as he was one of the few witches that managed to wound him, albeit lightly.
  • Cain and Abel: Rikitatsu had a younger twin brother called Yoichi who had a strong sense of justice and opposed his villainy. Yoichi became the first wielder of One For All and would create the line of heroes dedicated to ending All For One's evil once and for all.
  • Call-Back: Shigaraki admits that All For One can be replicated and has had imperfect copies like No. 6 and Nine. He laments he could never fully able to copy the thing to ensure his Villainous Legacy.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: He's evil and he knows it.
  • The Caretaker: He was his younger brother's provider and didn't dislike it, though he was possessive and controlling of him.
  • Casual Danger Dialogue: Since he's a voice inside Luz's head, Shigaraki sometimes engage in this with her while his host battles whoever she's up against. Although offer advice if he feels she needs it or shut up when she must concentrate.
  • The Chessmaster: All For One is very much this.
Narrator: Rikitatsu Shigaraki was a man of planning. He never did anything without a plan, a backup plan should that original plan fail, and another backup plan if that backup plan fell through. Some people would call him meticulous to a fault, and perhaps that was his downfall prior to his death, but he had plans in place should he ever die before his plan with Tomura would see through.
  • Child by Rape: He did not take it well when found out that he and Yoichi were a result of this. After discovering this, he and his brother tracked down their birth father and he murdered him by giving him a Neck Snap with his Super-Strength.
  • Commonality Connection: Shigaraki claims he understands her murderous rage over the death of someone you care about that any rational person would want revenge by any means necessary. He's most likely referring to his brother's death after escaping his vault.
  • Connected All Along: All For One worked alongside the Meta Liberation Army to fight against the repressive government towards Quirk users. Its highly likely the supervillain personally met Destro, too.
  • Consummate Liar: All For One mixes just enough truth in his lies to make him sound believable to Luz.
  • Control Freak: He's defined by his insistence of having everything play out according to his designs (while giving those under him the illusion of choice), especially when it comes to achieving control over people (notably Yoichi, and Luz) and being the one and only person to triumph against One For All. Despite this he's not upset when Luz stands up to him and when appreciates moments when someone defies his will.
  • Corrupt the Cutie: Shigaraki is trying to do this to Luz, with some success.
  • The Corrupter: All for One is this to Luz, with some results to his liking. This includes getting her to steal more powers, Gaining the Will to Kill, and having some resentment towards her mother. He's essential trying to be the Palpatine to her Anakin Skywalker.
  • Crazy-Prepared: He all but describes himself as this and is proud of this trait.
  • Create Your Own Hero: He accidentally created One For All, the Quirk that would defeat him.
  • Cult of Personality: When Quirks first emerged in the Mutant Realm, he used his power to amass numerous devout followers. He also has a following in the Boiling Isles, even after 14 years since he was forced out of the Demon Realm.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: The flashback in chapter 27 shows us how bleak his childhood was with his younger brother. They were 12-year old street urchins that wore nothing but rags and where forced to shelter in rundown houses with no adults to look after them. They often went without food for a week with Yoichi getting excited at getting fed an un-moldy but stale loaf of bread instead of half-eaten or rotten meals.
  • Dark Is Evil: Wears dark clothes, exists in the dark void of Luz's Mental World, and was the most powerful villain in his Realm.
  • Dark Messiah: Shigaraki used his Quirk to give powers to the oppressed Quirkless and take away those who suffered from them. This allowed him to amass an immense number of loyal followers whose gratitude grew into blind fanatics, who carried out his will, even without his command. His Power Palms also feed into this, as they give him the appearance of a stigmata. Not to mention his death led to a Mass Super-Empowering Event in Luz's world.
  • Dead Person Conversation: The deceased All For One is capable of speaking to Luz, although he can only initially speak to her briefly.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Shigaraki can be this sometimes, to Luz's annoyance.
  • Death Is a Slap on the Wrist: All For One merely views his situation of being dead and trapped in a child's mind as a temporary inconvenience.
  • Defiant to the End: He laughs at All Might telling him he'll be back to destroy everything he loves, before the Symbol of Peace kills him.
Rikitasu: Did… I… really? Ehehe… no… I did not lose... I will live on... In a different place… In a different time… I have supporters in places you could never reach… You… have not won this day… You will never win…
  • Deliberate Values Dissonance: Invoked by Shigaraki to Luz. He points out while his actions to her might seem detestable he emphasises know that they grew up in different situations.
  • Demonic Possession: He plans to do this to Luz in the Mutant Realm.
  • Determinator: All For One is STILL completely obsessed with claiming One For All for himself (as it houses the spirit of his younger brother whom he had always wanted by his side in his schemes) even after dying to it at All Might's back in his world. Not even experiencing death by its hands can dissuade him from stealing it.
  • Diabolical Mastermind: All for One was this in his world at the height of his power before being put down by All Might years before the start of the story. He ruled the criminal underworld with an iron fist and snuffed out any potential threat to his rule. In the present day, he's refocused his efforts to stealing One For Fall in the Boiling Isles, getting back to his home world, turning his successor Luz Noceda to be his new vessel, and re-establishing his criminal empire in both his world and the Boiling Isles. In that order.
  • Didn't See That Coming:
    • He didn't expect that his brother already had a Quirk, or that the "Stockpile" Quirk he gave him would merge with it, creating One for All.
    • In chapter 13, Shigaraki admits he did not think that Luz's Roaring Rampage of Revenge would've escalated quickly to the point that Luz would steal more Quirks than her body can contain and suffer a bloody Heroic RRoD.
    • In chapter 25, he certainly didn't expect Luz to hug him while crying, leaving him initially at a loss at first.
  • Die Laughing: All For One does this before being killed by All Might.
  • Dirty Cop: He worked as a cop for 10 years, eventually working his way up to being a Captain. However, that didn't stop him from actively committing many crimes in his free time.
  • Disappeared Dad: His father was never around for either of his sons, and likely didn't know they existed until they tracked him down when they became full-grown men.
  • Disowned Parent: He all but says this to his father before he murders him.
  • Dissonant Serenity: His voice is almost always perfectly calm, casually talking about his past crimes as a supervillain to Luz with the same tone he uses one would have while talking about the weather.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: As far as Luz was concerned, forcing anything on anyone, be it a drug or a power, was akin to… well, just thinking of the word made her sick. She's especially disgusted by Shigaraki non-consensually giving his little brother a Quirk.
  • The Dreaded: All For One became this in his world that it got to the point where there was a resistance force created solely to try and kill him. He was also this in the Boiling Isles for his war crimes.
  • Due to the Dead: Averted. Shigaraki leaves his father's corpse in the same alleyway where he murdered and robbed him.
  • Enemy Within: Shigaraki is ultimately this to Luz in the end.
  • Equal-Opportunity Evil: All For One has no issues making witches and demons his followers. A useful pawn is a useful pawn regardless of their race, after all.
  • Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas: Despite having never met his mother, he felt the strong need to avenge her rape at their father's hands.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones:
    • Played With. At first, All For One seemed to care about Luz in his own Evil Mentor way, being his Quirk's successor and all, but like with his younger brother and Tomura, at the end of the day he sees the young teen as little more than an extension of himself and he's merely grooming her to becoming his next vessel and means to get back to his world. However, it seems he's becoming genuinely fond of her, despite using her for his Evil Plan.
    • Despite seeing him as inferior, All For One he loved Yoichi in his own way and looked after him the best he could. He was genuinely upset and angry when he died.
Such a weak, frail, and pathetic man. Yet, a man who he loved as a brother with all of his blackened heart. It was why he hunted after One For All. To reclaim what was his. His brother.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Despite being a Card-Carrying Villain that had done many crimes, he firmly believes that Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil and Pædo Hunt is abhorrent just like anyone else. This was the reason why he murdered his biological father.
Rikitatsu had no morals, that much was obvious. But even then he knew where to draw the line. Sure, killing, maiming, and all of that fun stuff. He condoned that. Even human experimentation to a degree. But there were just some crimes that someone didn’t commit. Even someone like Rikitatsu, who despite the fact that he was a police officer who actively committed crimes in his free time, knew that committing those crimes made you an animal.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good:
    • Seemingly played straight then chillingly averted with All For One in regards to why Luz doesn't like the idea of taking other people's Quirk's.
    • In chapter 29, judging from his tone, he doesn't seem to quite understand why Luz would feel remorse for killing people in self-defence or to avenge her loved ones as he believes that's nothing to feel sorry for.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Luz his Quirk's successor, though he intends to Corrupt the Cutie.
  • Evil Is Bigger: All for One is over 7 ft. tall, easily dwarfing Luz, an average-sized teenage girl, and is even slightly taller than All Might.
  • Evil Is Hammy: Shigaraki becomes a Large Ham when hyping up their Quirk to Luz, something she wishes he'd stop doing.
  • Evil Is Not a Toy: The Blights found this out the hard way when Odalia tried to make a deal with him and she, her husband and youngest daughter got experimented on with his Quirks. Its described what he had done to the mother and father was akin to butchering them and became pariahs in their community for harboring him in their house.
  • Evil Laugh:
  • Evil Mentor: All For One acts as this to Luz, teaching how to use her powers and offering life advice, while subtly trying corrupt her. He acts as the Palpatine to her Anakin Skywalker.
  • Evil Plan: His ultimate goal is to take over Luz’s body using All For One after getting back to his Homeworld via The Boiling Isles and stealing One For All with the evolved Quirk. After that he intends rule the Human, Demon and Mutant Realms in fear of him.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: His voice is described by Luz and All Might as deep and baritone like a true demon.
  • Evil Versus Evil: He had fought Emperor Belos for a decade for control of the Boiling Isles.
  • Eviler than Thou: All For One showed himself to be this to Odalia in the past.
  • Evilutionary Biologist: He re-created One For All through Amity Blight via forcing Quirks that made it onto her parents before her conception.

    F-P
  • False Friend: All For One is ultimately this to Luz. Case and point: He's also aware that Riley, Luz's cousin, plans to to murder her and doesn't seem to be in a hurry to warn her. In fact, he seems as an opportunity to turn her into more like him and make the girl distrust anyone else who isn't him. Any affection Shigaraki has for Luz Noceda is superficial at best.
  • Fantastic Racism: All For One admits to Luz she shunned by his peers for having Quirk in his youth. His people were seen as monsters, were culled, and it was even worse with those who had mutations.
  • Faustian Rebellion: The entirety of One for All's legacy became this against him, starting when he gave his brother a Quirk which created One for All by accident to All Might killing him.
  • Faux Affably Evil: All For One is almost always polite and cordial towards Luz and his incredible charisma allowed him to amass a following of devoted servants when he ruled Japan and gain some level of trust from Luz despite knowing he's a bad guy. That said, he often laces his politeness with barbs and jabs when talking about others and views everyone as beneath him. Luz even notes his smiles seem forced and knows that for all of All for One's civility and cooperation with her lies a ruthless master criminal who's not afraid to murder, mutilate and silence anyone who gets in his way.
  • Finger-Tenting: Rikitasu does this a lot when talking to Luz.
  • Freudian Excuse Denial: All For One tells Luz he'd most likely still be a tyrannical monster on purpose with his Quirk even if he didn't suffer from the Fantastic Racism in in youth, much to the girl's annoyance.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: All for One was a street living orphan in the time of the first generation of Quirk users. As he grew up, he organized a network of loyal followers and terrorized Japan for over 100 years and almost total control of the criminal underworld. And then he invaded the Boiling Isles...
  • Gaslighting: He's a professional at this, especially on poor Luz.
  • Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: All For One gives a non-violent one to Luz when she believes she just been tricked into accidently killing her own mother with her Deadly Force Field and they're still in a fight to the death that's far from over. Not that he could slap her even if he wanted to.
Rikitasu: Calm yourself. Focus… You can grieve later. Channel that anger and despair you are feeling, and use it against your enemies. Push past this, and bring your wrath down on your foes!
  • God-Emperor: All For One's endgame is to rule humanity as a functional deity across The Multiverse, accumulating so much strength and so many Quirks using Luz's body that the world will have no choice but to depend on him for resources after throwing the economy into chaos.
  • Good Powers, Bad People: One the Quirks he steals is "Repair". He used it to heal his sickly brother's injuries but no one else's.
  • Grand Theft Me: Rikitasu's Evil Plan for Luz then get back to his world.
  • Gratuitous Japanese: Rikitasu can sometimes slip into this from time-to-time, especially if he doesn't want Luz to know what he's saying.
  • Greed: Luz describes the All For One Quirk is an embodiment of this, allowing them to amass unchecked power at a whim. All For One himself doesn't deny this.
  • Hated by All: Nearly everybody in Mutant and Demon Realms speaks of him with either fear, hatred, or both. Mostly both.
  • Hates Their Parent: His birth father, Tamashiki Shigaraki, was the only person that ever truly disgusted him. Justified as his father not advocated for Quirk users to lose their human rights but he raped their mother when she was only 16 and abandoned her and his sons. The day he met the bastard in person was the day he murdered him.
  • The Heavy: Being the Evil Mentor living in her head, Rikitasu is the one who interacts far more with the protagonist than any other bad guy. He's also ultimately responsible for a lot of suffering in the story.
  • Hero Killer: He and his followers had become infamous for killing many heroes who tried to stop them. This is especially true of the holders of One For All: before All Might killed him in their last battle. He also killed Harvey Park, one of Willow's dads, and many citizens of the Boiling Isles 14 years before the story began, as well as O'clock when he refused to join the villain.
  • Hidden Depths: He flat out admits to himself that he didn’t care about the power that claiming One For All would give him, implying he didn't need it to achieve his goals, but because it was a Tragic Keepsake of his younger twin brother.
  • History Repeats: Noticing the events Luz goes through similar to his own past and gains some of his physical traits, Shigaraki wants her to become the "Next Me" via Trauma Conga Line.
Ah~ good times! Luz’s life was playing mirror to his own. That was good. First persecution based on how one simply existed both in the past and the present. Now, there was seemingly a potential betrayal in the family. So long as this continued, and so long as enough tragedy strikes her, she’d be willing to listen to damn near anything he requested of her. It was only a matter of time before she gave way to her truest self. The truest self that All For One grants its user. Complete, and total, unrivalled POWER. Free from one’s limitations and morality. Free from one’s perceptions of the law. The moment Luz went quote-on-quote crazy, was the moment that he would be able to grant her the fullest of All For One.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Shigaraki admits to Luz that creating One For All was the beginning of his downfall that eventually led to All Might killing him in their Final Battle. He notes in hindsight he shouldn't have given his little brother a Quirk out of pity.
  • Horrifying the Horror: Even Shigaraki is a bit creeped out a bit by the partial vestiges in the Mental World.
  • Hypocrite: Shigaraki doesn't have a very high opinion on churches, viewing them as the "business in deluding the weak-willed". Though, this can be seen as a Psychological Projection as this is how he treated his own followers when he was alive.
  • I Control My Minions Through...: In the past, All For One controlled his minions by giving them Quirks, thus indebting them to him. However, he's also shown a talent for manipulating people frustrated with society they live in. This includes Luz, using her low self-esteem and her trouble fitting in to make her turn against everyone, while trying to act as a tough but fair mentor towards her.
  • I Did What I Had to Do: Despite Yoichi's disapproval, Rikitatsu stole other people's Quirks to better take care of himself and his little brother. With Yoichi's hemophilia, Rikitatsu feared his little brother would die not long without him.
Yoichi saw him taking other people's Meta-Abilities as cruel, and while that was fine—Rikitatsu didn’t care what his brother thought of him in that regard—it was him taking those Meta-Abilities that ensured his brother's survival. After all, who would he have without him? Yoichi would have died before the age of four without Rikitatsu being around.
  • In Their Own Image: After taking over Luz's body he intends to rule over the Human, Demon and Mutant Realms as a "Demon Lord" through fear.
  • Irony: All For One can't help but notice that actively manipulating Luz gets him subpar results, while allowing her a moments of freedom from his suggestions and manipulations, she is doing what he needed of her to get back to his home world.
  • It's All About Me: His Quirk name says it all. Not even Tomura, Gigantomachia, Yoichi or Luz are exceptions to All For One's egomania, viewing them as extensions of his will than their own person.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: Shigaraki fully admits to being a bad guy and owning up to his crimes as wrong, which surprises Luz as most Supervillains don't do that. He tells Luz she is destined for greatness, pointing out that her creativity shouldn't be stripped but cultivated in a more constructive manner, lets her know he's glad she survived the blow-back from having too many Quirks and advises which ones to keep. Shigaraki also teaches her how to strengthen her body to hold more Quirks, reassures her that she was not in the wrong when killing the kids that murdered her friends, and lets her know that just because she has his power doesn't she has to turn out like him if she doesn't want to. This could be seen as a heartwarming, if twisted, student/teacher relationship... Don't let that fool you for a second; in later chapters, it's revealed he's perfectly fine with hijacking Luz's body and using her like a puppet which would cause a Death of Personality if successful to get back to his home world to continue his reign of terror.
  • Justified Criminal: With no adults to take care of him and his brother, All For One had little choice but to steal Quirks, food and break into abandoned houses for them to survive otherwise they wouldn't have lived to see adulthood.
  • Kick the Dog: He's an expert at this, dead or alive.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: This happens to him before All Might puts him down.
Rikitasu: Oh… you’ll see soon enough…. I will return. And when I do… it will not be in a form you recognize. And when I find you…. I will kill everyone you ever loved. I will paint this world red with your blood! I will make sure that everything you ever cared about will be destroyed. I. WILL. COME. BAC-
  • Killer Cop: In his 20s he took a job as a police captain. Being on the right side of the law didn't make him any less murderous.
  • Lack of Empathy: As in the show, whatever praise or concern Rikitasu Shigaraki shows for others is false, because ultimately, All For One sees his followers as a means to an end and is utterly devoid of any genuine compassion for others.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: His death at All Might's hands for killing his mentor and predecessors is this as he created his Quirk, One For All, in the first place through his younger brother.
  • Laughably Evil: Surprisingly, he can be this with his chats with Luz.
  • Leaking Can of Evil: He's stuck inside of Luz's head and can't take over her body on his own, but under certain circumstances can influence her body and mind to benefit him.
  • Let No Crisis Go to Waste: All For One is not one to miss a chance to take advantage of the chaos he causes or caused by others to advance his goals. Hell, he was the one who accidentally caused the Mass Super-Empowering Event and kicked off the plot in the first place! When something goes wrong, he's right there whispering poisonous thoughts to Luz. Most notably when Luz discovers the mangled corpses of her camper friends, he encourages the distraught girl to brutally kill their murderers and steal their Quirks.
  • Let Us Never Speak of This Again: Shigaraki pretty much tells Luz this after seeing her cringed reaction for using the phrase "spill the tea".
  • Living with the Villain: Given that All For One resides within Luz's body, this naturally means that anyone living with her alongside the series' resident Big Bad as well.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: All For One was chased off before Amity was born and find out he succeeded in recreating One For All through Amity's birth.
  • Loves the Sound of Screaming: He considers hearing the painful moans of the vestiges one thing that was keeping him entertained being stuck in Luz's Mental World when not speaking to the girl.
  • Ludicrous Gibs: He recalls a time this happened to him, but himself back together.
  • Mad Scientist: While not a real scientist, he certainly acted like this to the witches where he performed Quirk experiments on.
  • Magical Homeless Person: He spent most of his childhood living on the streets with his little brother until he was old enough to get a job.
  • The Man Behind the Man: Luz the Anti-Hero is the current user of All For One and is a powerful foe to face against... absolutely no one but Luz herself knows that Shigaraki is helping her master All For One and her battles via her Mental World.
  • Manipulative Bastard: A specialty of All For One's who manipulates people and events around him without ever getting directly involved. Luz accuses Shigaraki of being this from the beginning and she's not wrong, forcing him to be more subtle with a More than Mind Control and Villain Has a Point approach.
  • Meaningful Name:
    • This story gives All For One the full name of Rikitasu Shigaraki, meaning "A multitude of splendid powers of death", which is quite fitting for a man with Power Parasite abilities who is a dangerous Card-Carrying Villain that's killed a lot of people.
    • This villain name "All For One" is just as suitable for someone who spent his life stealing and hoarding Quirks for his own purposes. It fits him much more than Luz who can be much more altruistic in nature.
  • Melting-Pot Nomenclature: Averted. All For One considers a foreign name mixed with a Japanese name to be ugly as sin.
  • Memento MacGuffin: Like in the manga, One For All is this to Shigaraki because it originated from his younger brother, Yoichi, and it is the one Quirk that defies him.
  • Mind Control: All For One used Titan's Blood to keep Gigantomachia as this.
  • More than Mind Control: The “addiction” that Shigaraki warned Luz about was really him forcing her hand, making her take Quirks to make her stronger and to fuel his sadism. Its revealed that every action, thought and word that she did that she considered as evil person was, in some way, influenced by Shigaraki.
  • Multiversal Conqueror: All For One's Evil Plan is to essentially become this, taking over his realm, Luz's realm and the demon realm.
  • Named by the Adaptation: The story gives him Rikitasu as his first name.
  • Narcissist: All For One is a narcissistic sociopath who only cares about power, himself, and what people could do for him, including his family. His immense desire to claim One for All, can be seen as him trying to retrieve an extension of himself that refuses to comply with his wishes. He also sees Luz as an extension of himself, becoming overjoyed as he sees the events she goes through similar to his own past and gains some of his physical traits. He finds her brown eyes disgusting and wishes that they would turn red like his soon.
  • Necessarily Evil: Luz sees having him as her Evil Mentor as this. He's trapped in his head with no way to kick him out and he has over a centuries worth of knowledge and experience in using Quirks, as no one else in her world is an expert on them. However, he also acts as a corrupting influence on girl over time.
  • Neck Snap: This is how All For One killed his father. Justified as he had a Super-Strength Quirk.
  • Never My Fault:
  • No Challenge Equals No Satisfaction: When Luz tells him that he'll never turn her into someone like him before she leaves, he notes to himself that it be as much fun for him if she was willing to do so.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: His apparent first act of genuine kindness, giving his twin brother a Quirk to make him stronger and join his side, lead to the creation of the Quirk that would cause his death.
  • Non-Action Big Bad: Justified. Since he's stuck in Luz's head and couldn't get involved even if he wanted to.
  • Noodle Incident: All For One recalls a time when he survived being blown apart into bloody chunks and and had to put himself back to together again.
  • Not Quite Dead: Shigaraki's consciousness, dubbed as a vestige, is embedded within All For One which was transferred to Luz's soul when he fell to All Might.
  • Not So Invincible After All: Despite hyping up their Quirk to Luz that they won the Superpower Lottery, All For One was still put down by All Might, which kicked off the story in the first place, something that Luz points out to him.
  • Obsolete Mentor: Downplayed. All For One claims that now Luz has awaken their Quirk, from this point forward, he only knows the basics about her power. However, he's still helpful in the lore of the Boiling Isles and his world.
  • Obviously Evil: Before Luz even said 2 words to Shigaraki, he set off her "Warning: This man is clearly EVIL" alarm the moment she lays eyes on the scary-looking man.
  • One-Man Army: The Emperor's Coven were just Cannon Fodder to him in the war.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The normally calm and in control Shigaraki demands Luz to get rid of the extra Quirks with genuine worry and concern. He also sounds to be panicking as it appears the Golden Guard is going to kill his protege (along with him) and she's helpless.
  • Opportunistic Bastard: He didn't plan on making Luz his successor, having heard of the girl in his life, never mind met her. But since he's trapped in her mind and has inherited his Quirk, he decided to make do with her, instead of Tomura.
  • Otaku: Who would have thought a Card-Carrying Villain like All For One would be an avid manga reader nerd like Luz?
  • Outside-Context Problem: All For One's vestige residing in Luz's mind acting as her Evil Mentor is this for the girl's friends and foes alike, who aren't even aware of his existence or even heard of him. The most notable ones being:
    • Kennedy and his team thought killing Luz and collect the award money would be easy after killing off half her new camper friends. However, not long before they arrive, All For One convinces his distraught successor to go on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge while stealing their Quirks. By the end, Luz gains a body count of 22, including Kennedy.
    • After Jonah tricks Luz into believing she just killed her own mother with her Forcefield Cannon when Charlie teleports her corpse in the attack, she about to go into a Heroic BSoD, which was All According to Plan for the monster to set her up a killing blow. What the assassins didn't count on, was the Spirit Advisor living in the girl's head to bring her out of it with a pep-talk invoking The Power of Hate and to Pay Evil unto Evil which gives her a Heroic Second Wind to kill them instead.
    • Hunter wants Luz as an ally to liberate his people from his Evil Uncle. However, he's completely unaware of All For One's presence in her mind with his own agenda to replace The Emperor in Luz's body.
    • He was this to Belos and the rest of the Boiling Isles when he came along from the Mutant Realm and waged a 10-year war on them, as he tried to conquer them.
  • Parental Abandonment: All For One was especially angry that his deadbeat dad left him and his little brother to live on streets by themselves. He tracked him down and killed him for that.
  • Parental Substitute: Rikitasu acted as one for Tomura when he was alive, giving him his family name. He seems to be taking up this role for Luz, now that both her parents are dead now.
  • Patricide: He murdered his father when he found out he was a Child by Rape, under the knowledge that he had abandoned him, his mother and brother after his crime on Aiya.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Shigaraki's habit of this gives Creepy Uncle vibes to Luz.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: His Final Battle with All Might turned a once thriving city into a warzone that look like it got nuked.
  • Personality Powers: Unlike Luz, All For One is defined by his selfishness and every relationship he has is ultimately him viewing the other person as his possession rather than a person, making him a Power Parasite is immensely fitting.
  • Pet the Dog: When Luz suddenly hugs the villain and starts bawling in his chest after everything that's happened to her in the Battle of Gravesfield, Rikitatsu is left confused until this scenario reminds him of when his late brother Yoichi, one person who cared about other than himself, did this when they were kids. Instead of using the situation to his advantage for manipulation, the supervillain makes a genuine effort to comfort the crying child.
Rikitatsu: It’s… going to be alright, Noceda.
  • Plausible Deniability: All For One plans to use Luz's skin colour as this if All Might comes across him in her body in the Mutant Realm.
  • Posthumous Character: All For One died to All Might which causes the story to begin.
  • The Power of Hate: Its the one emotion that All For One seems to have faith in is hatred, and encourages Luz to utilize it.
  • The Power of Blood: All For One used Titan's Blood to keep Gigantomachia's Undying Loyalty to him as a Mind Control agent at the cost of his intelligence, his other Quirk experiments and travel to the Demon Realm in order to find some more.
  • Pragmatic Villainy:
    • When an angry Luz believes Shigaraki is implying she should kill Julia after taking her Quirk, he quickly corrects her he isn't, as it would make her quality of life worse. Though its most likely he doesn't want to lose what little trust girl has in him.
    • Shigaraki strongly recommends that it would be better for Luz if she didn’t kill anyone she took the Quirk off of, if it can be helped. Otherwise, they'll both be bombarded by the voices of those who Luz has stolen the Quirks of.
    • He admits to enjoy tormenting and manipulating poor Luz, only holding himself back to not lose her trust in him for his master plan to work.
  • Pretender Diss: All For One sees Belos as a fool and plans on taking the Boiling Isles from him.
  • Promoted to Parent: With their mother dead and father absent, he was in charge of looking after Yoichi.
  • Puppeteer Parasite: He intends to become this to Luz.

    R-Z
  • Rags to Riches: Throughout his childhood, he lived as a homeless boy until her became old enough to get a job and buy a house as a policeman. When he became a crime boss he became much richer.
  • Red Baron: He is refer to as "The Interloper" on the Boiling Isles.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Shigaraki has these and is a dangerous character. Luz at one point notes that All For One's red piercing eyes gave her the chills.
  • Revenge: He wants this on All Might for killing him.
  • Sadist:
    • Despite finding them to be creepy, Shigaraki describes the moans of pain from the vestiges in Luz's Mindspace to be musical and wonderful to his ears.
    • It's revealed that he lied to Luz about the "Quirk Addiction" because of this, enjoying watching her kill her friends murderers and steal their Quirks in her rampage. He only holds off on tormenting Luz herself not out of any compassion but by out of Pragmatic Villainy to keep her trust in him.
  • Satanic Archetype: He's like the perviable devil on Luz's shoulder.
  • Sealed Inside a Person-Shaped Can: An unplanned and unintentional example. After his death at All Might's hands in the Mutant Realm, his vestige is transferred into Luz's Luz's mind with no way for him to break lose.
  • Seen It All: Shigaraki, aware of the scene unfolding, isn't at all worried Luz was blown to pieces or surprised that his successor would live. After all he's survived worse.
  • Self-Made Orphan: Not only did his mother die giving birth to him and Yoichi, but he tracked down and murdered his father with a Neck Snap for abandoning the three of them.
  • Seven Deadly Sins: Fitting for the Resident Big Bad and author of most of the misery Luz has to go through, as well as others spanning multiple realms, All For One shows traits of all seven of the sins and tries to impose them onto his successor.
    • Pride: He's incredibly arrogant and egotistical, seeing his Power Parasite Quirk as making him a god among men and encourages Luz to have this same mindset. He's also pleased as her hair and eye color slowly changes to match his, as it appeals to his narcissism. On a more positive side, he takes pride in his Superior Successor awaking their Quirk.
    • Greed: His Quirk is described as the symbol of this sin. He is compulsively greedy, wanting Luz to steal powerful Quirks and plans to pull a Villain Override on the girl as he believes, through her, he can upgrade his Take Over the World Evil Plan into becoming a Multiversal Conqueror.
    • Gluttony: Not in a Big Eater sense. All For One has an innate hunger to steal other Quirks he fancies and is still obsessed with stealing One For All, even after its last wielder killed him. He's also responsible for Luz's Addictive Magic to get her to steal more Quirks.
    • Envy: He's implied to be tied to an envious wanting of what others naturally possess, e.g. Belos's rule over the Boiling Isles, unique Quirks, etc.
    • Lust: Not in the sexual way. All For One has an immense lust for power and control, and has plans to take over The Multiverse through Luz. He's also has sadistic streak, taking pleasure in watching Luz kill people and steal Quirks which causes great pain to her victims. Hell, even Luz isn't exempt from this, enjoying tormenting and manipulating her for his own agenda.
    • Wrath: All For One can react with extreme rage to any challenge to his image of the all-powerful Demon Lord, as is implied to why he killed Harvey Park for laying a scratch on him. He also encourages Luz to utilise The Power of Hate to Pay Evil unto Evil, as hate and anger are the only emotions he has any real faith in.
    • Sloth: All For One prefers to leave the dirty work to his underlings and rarely does anything himself. He also encourages Luz to not bothering stealing any Quirks that take time to train it to awesome level, instead focusing on Boring, but Practical and Simple, yet Awesome powers. His Evil Plan is to reap the rewards of Luz's progress by pulling a Demonic Possession on her.
  • Sharing a Body: All For One somehow ended up in Luz's body after he died in his world. So far Luz is in full control and he's just a passenger.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: All For One is described as wearing a black two-piece business suit not too dissimilar to what the Antagonistic Governor wears.
  • Sincerity Mode: Shigaraki was genuinely curious about why Luz thinks stealing other people’s powers is wrong in chapter 8.
  • Sink or Swim Mentor: Normally he isn't this but decides when Luz is fighting The Golden Guard, she has to Figure It Out Yourself to beat him.
Shigaraki: Just because I’m your mentor does not mean I am obliged to give you all the answers. I can’t coddle you. If you are to be a true successor to All For One, you need to figure it out on your own. Just because you have a plethora of abilities does not make up for a lack of problem-solving. I didn’t get anywhere in the world without figuring out my problems for myself.
  • Slasher Smile: Shigaraki constantly cracking wide, toothy grins whenever he's getting particularly emotionally worked up, smug, or satisfied with his results, which helps sell to Luz when they first meet there's something off about him.
  • The Sleepless: Shigaraki at one point in his life stole a Quirk that made it so he didn’t have to sleep, so that he didn't have to deal with the vestiges haunting his dreams.
  • Slouch of Villainy: All For One does this on his chair in Luz's Mental World in his Establishing Character Moment to the girl. She notes he acts like a king on his throne looking down on a peasant.
  • So Proud of You: Rikitatsu praises Luz for achieving Quirk Awakening, something he couldn't do in his entire life, telling her he's genuinely proud of her and that the Quirk is truly her's now.
  • The Social Darwinist: He certainly has this mindset when it comes to powers, with his being at the top of the food chain.
  • The Sociopath: Tics all the boxes for a high-functioning one: Arrogant, manipulative, intelligent, higher-than-average impulse control, a good amount of charisma and Lack of Empathy. Even his supposed affection for Luz is skin-deep as he's not above manipulating her into becoming the "Next Me" and is more than willing for her to get hurt or outright have her pushed to the Despair Event Horizon if it suits his goals.
  • Soft-Spoken Sadist: So far Shigaraki has never raised his voice to or around Luz, despite being an unrepentant villain that enjoys hurting people.
  • Sore Loser: He's rather dismissive of All Might because his defeat at his hands cost him his life.
  • Spanner in the Works: Him wagging war for control of the Boiling Isles was this for Belos, as his machnimas almost ruined his plans for the Day of Unity.
  • Spirit Advisor: Ever since he died at All Might's hands, All For One presents himself as an Evil Mentor version of this to Luz, since he's literally stuck in her head and she needs help learning about her powers.
  • Superpower Lottery: All For One can steal Quirks from others, dead or alive, and wield them as their own. Luz can also combine the Quirks she has for stronger attacks. She can also give the Quirks to others. As Shigaraki explains, in a world where Everyone Is a Super, the one who can steal powers and give them to other people is the king.
  • Superhuman Trafficking: He's guilty of doing this to witches.
  • Supervillain: Luz correctly pegs All For One as one before he admits it.
  • The Svengali: Shigaraki is ultimately planning to groom Luz to carry out his will, as well as to make the girl her next vessel that's more resistant to the Quirk Singularity, as he tried with Tomura in canon.
  • Sympathy for the Hero: Even someone with a black heart like him is compelled to comfort Luz after her horrible experience at the battle of Gravesfield leads her to break down into tears after its over, which is probably only altruistic thing he's done in over a century.
Rikitatsu: You’ve been through a lot. More than any child should have to go through.
  • Take Over the World: All For One admits to Luz this was his purpose in life. And even after death he still plans to do so as well as adding the Boiling Isles to his list of conquest.
  • Totally Radical: Downplayed. Shigaraki once used the phrase "spill the tea". After seeing Luz's Lame Pun Reaction he promises her that he will never say that sentence again.
  • Tough Love: All For One locked his brother in a safe when he wouldn't join him and forced the "Stockpile" Quirk upon him to convince him to join him. He might have been manipulating Yoichi out of his pure ego but in All For One genuinely believed he was also helping Yoichi become stronger, due to having a compromised immune system which would cause him to die if he went outside for long periods. This backfired as it led to the birth of the power that would cause his demise: One For All.
  • Tragic Keepsake: All For One flat out admits to himself that he didn’t care about the power that claiming One For All for himself would give him, implying he didn't need it to achieve his goals, but because it was a reminder of his long dead brother.
  • The Unapologetic: When Luz asks Shigaraki if he regrets becoming a Card-Carrying Villain, he replies that the only thing he'd change if given the chance is his approach, tweaking things here and there to make his plans more effective out of Pragmatic Villainy.
Luz: Do you… regret what you did?
Shigaraki: Do I regret my actions? [...] Hardly. The only thing I regret doing is going about it in the way I did. I made a lot of errors back then, and if I were given a second chance, I would do it again, only perhaps with a less violent approach, and perhaps I wouldn’t have created One For All with my future knowledge. To give a very short version of my answer. No. No, I do not. But if I could change small bits and pieces of what I did to make for a more healthy outcome, then I would. Otherwise, I’d keep things the same.
  • The Unfettered: There is very little Shigaraki wouldn't do in order to succeed in his goals. He'll seek success by mass murder, any kind of torture, unethical experimentations (be it willing or unwilling test subjects), terrorism, starting wars, and a laundry list of other crimes and wrongs.
  • Using You All Along: All For One admits to himself that Luz was just a means to an end for his Evil Plan: To get to his world, have her steal One For All from All Might or his successor, and then pull a Villain Override her body and come back to life stronger than ever. With an evolved version of his Quirk, he would be unstoppable, and he could reclaim his empire from those who stole it when he was dead and make it even greater with the Boiling Isles.
  • Utopia Justifies the Means: At the end of the flashback, a 12-year old Rikitatsu announces to his brother he intends to save the world via domination: as an all-powerful dictator iron fist and stealing enough Quirks. While its a step up from him wanting to become a Demon Lord, this mentality can be seen as rationalizing his worldview as seeing people as his possessions to take care of. Given the Crapsack World that they lived him even Yoichi ponders if a world ruled by his brother would be such a bad thing, since this All For One takes good care of him.
Rikitatsu: With my power… once I get enough Meta-Abilities, I’ll be able to rule the world with an iron fist. No one will have to worry about wars because I’ll end them before they begin. No one will have to worry about hunger because I’ll stop hunger from getting nearly as bad as it is now. No one will have to worry about electricity because I’ll provide it. Everyone will rely on me because by then I’ll be immortal. I’ll be this world’s saviour! (Wide Smile) I’ll own this world, and when it’s in my possession, I’ll take great care of it. Just like how I take great care of you! Wouldn’t that be great?
  • Villain Has a Point: Despite being a bonafied supervillain, he's been right so many times he has his own subsection for this trope right here.
  • Villain Override: All For One's Long Game Evil Plan involves doing this to Luz, now that she has awakened their Quirk.
  • Villain Protagonist: He is the deuteragonist of the story and a straight up supervillain who plans to take over The Multiverse.
  • Villain Respect: He has developed this for Luz, his Quirk's successor, especially after she awakens All For One, something he couldn't do.
  • Villain Takes an Interest: He very much invested in making Luz his successor after she awakens the All For One Quirk.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: In the past, All For One presented himself as a freedom fighter for his fellow Quirk users against the Fantastic Racism they all suffered from in his world. He was also seen as a hero due to him stealing the Quirks of those who victimized others, taking them Quirks away from those that suffered from them and giving some to the Quirkless to defend themselves. Hell, even 14 years after he lost the war for the Boiling Isles, he still has followers that built an Underground City in his name and await for his return to overthrow The Emperor. However, its all a facade, he always was a megalomaniacal maniac, and they were just be a ploys for him to attract loyal and useful lackeys.
  • Villains Out Shopping: When he's not plotting, he sends his time in Luz's Mental World reading manga and playing Uno.
  • Villains Never Lie: As much of a Manipulative Bastard he is, Shigaraki has rarely outright lied to Luz, especially if it concerns an Awful Truth, simply out of delight with her trying to deny the awful revelations whilst he's being completely honest and forthright with her. Despite hating this, Luz does gain a level of trust in All For One because of this trait. Unfortunately for her, 'doesn't lie' does not mean All For One still isn't any less manipulative, villainous, and deceitful.
Wake-up call after wake-up call was something that [Luz] was used to, but not with the bluntness that Shigaraki provided. Most people danced around every subject, but Shigaraki didn’t. He went straight to the heart of the problem and ripped the bandage off with a pair of pliers each and every time. First, it was about using her power, then it was about the reality of the situation she was in, and recently it was about her mother and her actions.
  • Virtue Is Weakness: Shigaraki tells Luz she shouldn't force limitations onto herself because of some "misguided" sense of morality and shouldn't feel remorse for killing her enemies.
  • Walking Spoiler: It's impossible to talk about All For One without outing how his past actions are behind shaping the story's lore and character's backstories spanning three different realms. And that's not going into his agenda for our protagonist.
  • We Can Rule Together:
    • He offered this a recently graduated O'clock. After the young hero refused, All For One killed him and stole his Quirk.
    • Rikitasu also offered this to his brother who also naturally refused. He even intended to give him a copy of the Life Force Quirk.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: In the past he was this.
  • What Is This Feeling?: He has this moment when seeing Luz breaking down into tears after her Trauma Conga Line. Instead of his just usual sadism he feels genuine sympathy for the first time in a century. While he brushes off any real good in him as a malarkey, he feels himself honestly starting to care about his successor for all the horrible stuff he was ultimately responsible for.
  • Who's Laughing Now?: All For One admits to Luz, he eventually got fed up with the Fantastic Racism from those around him, and I acted upon his Power Parasite urges. He started to amass power, steal from those who I thought didn’t deserve it, and redistributed it to those who he believed knew would never lay a finger on him and his younger brother. Eventually he became Japan's most powerful supervillain.
  • White Hair, Black Heart: All For One has white hair due to albinism and he's definitely one of the most evil characters in the entire story.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Perks: All For One tries to sell this to Luz. She would prefer to follow With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility instead, even she finds to be cheesy.
  • World's Strongest Man: His Quirk is the most powerful one in his Realm with unlimited potential. Shigaraki remained unchallenged for over a century until the advent of All Might and put him down. He schemes to make Luz this and (if Tomura isn't a viable option) turn into his literal 'next me' in preparation for gaining the ability to claim his former strength and more through the body of a younger, more physically-enhanced individual (with help from his Mad Doctor) capable of withstanding the strain of his accumulated abilities without risk of a Superpower Meltdown, along with the capacity to finally absorb One For All, the only power that can stop him, and finally succeed in claiming the role for good as a near god-like being that will then Take Over the World in 3 seperate Realms.
  • Would Hit a Girl: Not only did he personally murder Nana Shimura, All Might's mentor, he also maimed Lilith, almost killed Eda and experimented on Odalia with his Quirk during the war he started.
  • Would Hurt a Child: His grooming of Tenko and turning him into Tomura qualifies as this, as any chance Tenko had at a normal life was taken from him the second Shigaraki found him. He also intends to use Luz as his own personal Soul Jar, if he can't reach Tomura back in his world quick enough. Its also revealed that he did Quirk experiments on witch children when he invaded the Boiling Isles and had Dr. Garaki extract Titan's Blood from King when his was just a child for years before Eda rescued him.
  • Writing About Your Crime: He had a journal detailing his Quirk experiments, including recreating One For All. The Blights own a copy.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: He remembered his brother's Last Words to his brother was that there was some good in him and that he only needed to act on it to change the world for the better. He disagreed with that.
  • You Could Have Used Your Powers for Good!: All For One recalls the time when Yoichi told him that could be better than a wannabe "Demon Lord" by using his Quirk to genuinely help other people instead of hurting them for his personal gain. He wasn't interested in that.
  • You Killed My Father: All For One personally killed Harvey Park, one of Willow's dads.
  • You Monster!: Luz and the residents of the Boiling Isles see him as this. And they're not wrong.
  • Your Head Asplode: How he dies courtesy of All Might.

    Last Quirks
  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: The "Spear Fingers" Transformation-Class Quirk allowed Rikitasu to turn his fingers sharp and pointed like spears, and fire them toward his targets like extendable pole-arms from a distance of up to 25 meters.
    • Mundane Utility: Deadly this power maybe, Rikitasu has ben shown using them as them makeshift knives when eating just as well.
  • Bad with the Bone: The "Spearlike Bones" Transformation-Class Quirk generates drill-like bone structures around All For One's body. He stole this Quirk from his mother, Aiya Kagurami, not long after he was born and was the first Quirk stolen by him overall. He also used this to give All Might his Career-Ending Injury.
  • Healing Factor: The "Super Regeneration" Transformation-Class Quirk that allowed Rikitasu to recover from life-threatening wounds, up to and including missing limbs, organs, bones, muscles, and skin. The process is quite painful though, and often leaves scars, but nothing too damaging. At some point, he managed to acquire the healing Quirk, but it was useless in restoring his body from the fatal damage All Might inflicted on him in their final battle.
  • Healing Hands: The "Repair" Emitter-Class Quirk allowed Rikitasu to heal other living beings, including Yoichi's injuries. Though overuse can be draining.
    • Heal Thyself: He could also use it to heal his own injuries, too.
  • Long-Lived: The Mutant-Class Quirk, "Life Force", doubled his lifespan at the cost of his athleticism, making him look like he's only in his 30s when he's really over a hundred years old. All For One was 160 years old when he died, and it was not by natural causes. It was originally Garaki's, who replicated it and gave the original Quirk to All For One, while he retained a duplicate.
    • The Ageless: He's older than One For All, the Quirk he created, which has been passed down through 9 heroes, yet has not aged since. Its because he found a Quirk that stops aging, Dr. Garaki's Quirk, "Life Force". However, he's not truly ageless, but his natural ageing process has been slowed down so noticeably that he'd be alive and in good health for a very long time.
    • Older Than They Look: He's looks like tall and well-built man in his late-20s to mid-30s but was one of the earliest Quirk users in his Realm, and his Life Force Quirk (which was given to him by Dr. Garaki) extended his lifespan longer than that of the average man's. He was over a hundred years old when All Might put him down.
    • Really 700 Years Old: He was one of the first Quirk users in the Mutant Realm, making him a centenarian, and his "Life Force" Quirk (which was given to him by Dr. Garaki) extends his lifespan at the cost of athletic ability (he solved this issue with his other Quirks). This allowed him enough time to stockpile many Quirks for his own purposes and make him the most dangerous Villain in all of Japan.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: The Transformation-Class Quirk "Multiplier" allowed him to grow up to 50 arms from his body; including his sides, back and on top of each other. These limbs can use other Quirks, so long as they originate from Rikitasu's hands, with the only exception being All For One, as it is attached to the original hands of Rikitasu.
    • Giant Hands of Doom: He can also merge the many hands to together into these the size of a bus.
  • Power Parasite: All For One allowed Rikitasu to give and take Quirks from others, both dead and alive. The process is painful for the person getting the Quirk/energy drained from them.
    • Addictive Magic: All For One claims that this Quirk gives her an inherent addiction to stealing Quirks.
    • All Your Powers Combined: Rikitasu's Quirk combined this with Power Parasite and Super-Empowering. He was able to steal others' Quirks for himself, allowing him to combine several Quirks together and stack them up.
    • Antagonist Abilities: The Quirk "All For One" is exceedingly powerful and can be seen the ultimate nightmare in society that revolves around superpowers.
    • Casting a Shadow: His signature "All For One" manifests as red and black flames.
    • Power Palms: As an All For One holder, Rikitasu has small holes in the palms of her hands. It's these that allowed him to steal and give Quirks.
    • Powers as Programs: "All For One" could steal the Quirks of others, allowing Rikitasu to either use them herself, or "upload" them into another person. The reason why he was so powerful and feared is that he'd spent over a century stockpiling powerful Quirks for himself.
    • Red and Black and Evil All Over: His original Quirk "All For One" manifests energy in the form of black lightning with red outlines when used.
    • Super-Empowering: Rikitasu had the ability to give away him Quirks. It was part of how he was able to build such a dedicated following back in the day was his ability to give Quirks to those without them, ensuing their loyalty.
    • Touch of Death: His ability to steal Quirks is basically this, as it's basically an Instant-Win Condition against an opponent with a Quirk. It could also cause fatal brain damage occasionally.
  • Super-Strength: Thanks in part to having three "Strength Enhancer" Emitter-Class Quirks, which increases his physical strength by two folds each and stack on top of each other, All For One is strong enough to fight off All Might back with his bare hands alone, at one point give his deadbeat father a Neck Snap.

    Former Quirks
  • Action Bomb: He was able to utilize the "Self-Detonation" Emitter-Class Quirk by having cells grow over his limbs. He gave this power to No. Six.
  • Energy Weapon: The Emitter-Class "Navel Laser" allowed him to fire his beam from his belly button. He gave this to a young Yuga Aoyama.
  • Feel No Pain: One of his old Emitter-Class Quirks, "Pain Blocker", nullified all pain, which explains why he was able to shrug off even attacks from One For All users that manage to knock him back. He gave this Quirk to Gigantomachia to become a more effective bodyguard.
  • Light 'em Up: The "Lightbringer" Emitter-Class Quirk gave him the power over and turns him into photon particles. He later gives this power to Hunter.
  • The Needless: The Emitter-Class Quirk "Energy Saver" allowed Rikitasu's body to function on very small amounts of nutrition and hydration. He later gifted Gigantomachia with this power.
    • The Sleepless: He could also fully function on a minimal amount of sleep.
  • Sizeshifter: Rikitasu could change the size of his limbs with his "Selective-Gigantism". He gave this Transformation-Class Quirk away to Hunter.
  • Stronger with Age: The raw power of the Emitter-Class Quirk "Stockpile" allowed him to gain physical strength over time. He gave this to his brother, Yoichi, to make him stronger. This inadvertently created One For All.
  • Super-Empowering: He created Yoichi's initial Emitter-Class Quirk that allowed him to transfer his abilities and his consciousness to another person via DNA. He implanted Alador with this Quirk for an experiment.
  • Super Smoke: Another Transformation-Class Quirk was called "Smog" which allowed him to turn into smoke and use it to attack and dodge hits. All For One remembers having this quirk remarking its hard to control and later used it to help create Kurogiri.
  • Super-Speed: Stolen from O'Clock, Rikitasu possessed the power "Overclock" which granted him great speed in short periods. He later gave this Emitter-Class Quirk to No. Six and later on Hunter.
  • Wolverine Claws: He could make his fingers grow into massive claws that look like giant rocks shaped into digits from his "Mole" Transformation-Class Quirk. This was the last Quirk he gave Gigantomachia.
