This page is for characters from The Annoying Orange and Liam the Leprechaun. Also covers crossover characters whose series don't have their own pages yet, but only to the extent of their appearances in those crossover videos.

Foods
General (The Kitchen Gang)
- A Dog Named "Dog": Most of them are named after the fruit they are, if not containing a preceding adjective that makes it avert this trope.
- Ambidextrous Sprite: They have two left eyes or two right eyes depending on which way they're facing.
- Animated Actors: Some videos show them to be these. Daneboe is apparently their director.
- Anthropomorphic Food: Obviously, they are sentient food.
- Invisible Anatomy: They have no hands or feet, and yet it doesn't stop them from moving around and holding things. They even often joke about it, particularly when they play video games.
- Only One Name: With some exceptions.
- Species Surname: More like Species Only One Name—the few with full names have standard Species Surnames.
Orange
Voiced by: Dane Boedigheimer (Daneboe)
First appearances: The Annoying Orange & ''The Annoying Orange OUTTAKE
The titular protagonist of the series and the self-proclaimed "highest-rated character on this show", Orange is well-known for his annoying jokes and crass sense of humor, which annoys all food — including his friends — to no end. He also loves explosions, looking for new ways to detonate any TNT he can find. He's also somewhat ditzy and tends to get himself and others into big trouble with his behavior.
- Absurd Phobia: He seems to have a huge fear... of dancing hippos.
- Achilles' Heel: According to the opening of Ask Orange #82, being forced to not make fun of someone (which is his entire characterization) causes him to literally explode.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: In High Fructose Adventures, while he still makes jokes and can be his usual obnoxious self, he's a lot nicer than he ever was in the web series, willingly helping people with their problems rather than just sitting by and driving them insane, and has even saved the world on occasion.
- Ambiguously Bi: Despite clearly having a crush on Passion Fruit, Orange has attempted to kiss Pear at least twice, while one episode of Ask Orange has a skit where he and Pear have a baby.
- Annoying Laugh: Lots of characters in-universe are annoyed by it.
- Anti-Role Model: He's turned into this as time has gone on, with the cruder and meaner aspects of his personality being dialed up with each successive year.
- Attention Whore: It's obvious that he craves a reaction from the other fruits with his constant bothering of them.
- Berserk Button: Woe betide those who date (or if he perceives you as such) his sister, whom he's very protective of. He let Little Apple off easy the first time (though he did have a long screaming fit in the fridge beforehand), but he raged hard at Corey when the latter revealed he had a crush on Sis. He even derailed an episode of HOW2 just because Pear admitted she was awesome.
- Boke and Tsukkomi Routine: Boke to Pear's Tsukkomi.
- Catchphrase: He's had several over the years.
- "Hey, hey apple!" (or anything else he's talking to) and "I'm not X! I'm an orange!"
- "Knife." (or any other tool)
- "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
- "You're an apple!" (used as an insult to anything that's annoying him)
- More minor ones include "WHOA!", "Uh-uh!", "I'm bored," "Ooh!", "YAY!", and "I really liked _______".
- "Yo, whatchu talkin' 'bout?!"
- Captain Obvious: "I'm an orange!"
- Cannot Spit It Out: Anytime someone brings up his crush on Passion Fruit, he's reduced to a stammering flushed mess. He does unknowingly expresses his feelings to Passion during "The Dating Game" though, and by Ask Orange 62, he's finally able to express it in his own special way: Stuff Blowing Up.
- Character Blog: He's on Facebook, Twitter, and the official blog.
- Characterization Marches On: In his first appearance and up to 2015, Orange was more of a Jerk with a Heart of Gold who actually felt bad whenever a fruit dies rather than a trolling Jerkass who enjoyed when fruits suffered, and he didn't speak in a loud falsetto like he does now.
- Cloudcuckoolander: His whole shtick is how much of an oddball he is.
- Cool Shades: In Flower Power!, Orange Goes Hollywood, Epic Peel Time, FPS Orange, Poison Apple, Annoying Orange - Easter Island, and Buddy Cops.
- Demonic Possession: Happens to him quite often in the Shocktober videos.
- In "Haunted Leaf Pile", he gets possessed by radioactive slugs after jumping into a radioactive leaf pile.
- In "annoyingorange.exe", Orange gets possessed by a corruted virus on a fart-themed website.
- Finally, in "Malloween", Orange becomes corrupted after eating some haunted candy from Marshmallow's halloween bucket.
- The Ditz: He's so dumb he can't tell that the other Fruits find him annoying.
- Exactly What It Says on the Tin: He's an orange. He's annoying.
- Everyone Has Standards:
- It's quite common, even in the recent videos, for Orange to cringe whenever a food dies, especially if in a particularly gruesome way. SKYDIVING! in particular has him horrified at the diving instructors brutal death.
- In Annoying Pear, he was sick and talked Pear into stepping into his role for a day. Pear's attempts make Turnip cry, which Orange admonishes him for, implying that although Orange likes to annoy others, he hates to make them cry. Somewhat confirmed in Briquet, where he immediately tries to cheer up the briquet when he starts crying.
- In Best Fiends Forever, he stated to Grapefruit that you can't shout out "Knife" if there's no knife, and later, he tells Grapefruit off for enraging Marshmallow by setting a picture of Princess Butterflykiss ablaze.
- In More Annoying Orange, he actually finds his counterpart to be extremely annoying. It is also shown that he is actually very mild for his species.
- Eye Beams: In an Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever clip from Mystery Guest.
- Fantastic Racism: With the obvious exclusion of Little Apple, he appears to dislike apples to a degree, often using the word as an insult towards the other characters.
- Flanderization: He only became more annoying as the series went on. His use of Toilet Humor, TNT, and him being a Gasshole are the most notable victims here.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: Pear, Little Apple, and Grapefruit get as exasperated with him as everyone else does, yet they somehow remain his closest companions.
- Gasshole: He's this most of the time, but he does it on purpose.
- Heroic Comedic Sociopath: He'll save the day every once in a while, but he's otherwise rather cruel and sadistic.
- The Hyena: Try keeping track of how many times he laughs at his own jokes without losing count.
- Incredibly Lame Pun: He makes puns in every single video that he's in.
- Idiot Hero: Despite being quite antagonistic for the most part, he's nonetheless the main hero of the series. He is also quite dense, airheaded, and careless.
- Insufferable Imbecile: He is an immature, Literal-Minded Jerkass who terrorizes other foods with his horrible jokes and pranks and is Oblivious to Hints.
- It Amused Me: The reason behind most of his antics towards other foods is just for the sake of a sick gag on his behalf.
- It Runs in the Family: Orange's family members have shown up in various episodes, all of which have established that they are just as annoying as he is.
- Jerkass: Beyond being obnoxious, Orange treats nearly everyone around him with little to no respect, including his friends. After Flanderization, his genuine love for Passion and his bond with his sister remain his only redeeming qualities.
- Karma Houdini Warranty: As much as he gets away with his behavior, he will be the center of slapstick on occasion like the rest, particularly in the Ask Orange episodes.
- Lack of Empathy: Orange shows very little concern whenever the other foods get brutally murdered, instead continuing his routine of comedy.
- Large Ham: He is frequently loud and vibrant, best shown in Monster Burger.Orange: You ate Lettuce, Cheese, and Tomato?! ALIVE?! YOU ARE A MONSTER!!
- Laughably Evil: While a stretch to call him 'evil', he is an Anti-Role Model with his ruthless mocking of other foods, yet we cannot help but find him amusing at the same time.
- Laughing at Your Own Jokes: He does this all the time. Actually becomes a plot point in one episode of the TV series.
- Mad Bomber: He loves TNT, with practically every How To episode ending with some going off, or him trying to shoehorn it in one way or another, to Pear's dismay. It also shows up a lot in Ask Orange.
- McNinja: In Kung Fruit he learns the ancient ways of the Ninja Fruit from the Ninja Fruit apple.
- Meaningful Name: Say "an orange" real fast.
- Motor Mouth: As a side-effect of being on a rush in ZOOM! Made even more hilarious by the theme music being sped up in the background.
- My Sister Is Off-Limits: As stated in Berserk Button above, he does not take kindly to anyone showing any form of interest in his sister. While he does let Midget Apple go, he absolutely loses it when Corey expresses feelings for her.
- The Nicknamer: A shtick of his is to take his current companion's name and alter it in some way, much to their annoyance.
- No Indoor Voice: Starting with "Crabapple", Orange's voice becomes louder.
- The Noseless: Lampshaded in Ask Orange #4: Master Chef!Announcer: (reading question) Why don't you have a nose?Orange: Wait, I don't have a nose? (the camera zooms in on his face as he screams with terror)
- Pity the Kidnapper: Jigsaw can't stand him.
- Pungeon Master: You do not know the half of it.
- Psychopathic Manchild: From his love of terrible jokes, his indifference to the deaths of the countless fruits and vegetables he meets, his love of explosives, and his selfish and at times outright sociopathic behavior, he certainly fits the criteria.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Red Oni to Pear's Blue Oni. He's loud and immature, while Pear is smart and reasonable.
- Sadist: After Flanderization, he seems to relishnote in other foods (even his own friends) getting the brutal short end of the stick.
- Signature Laugh: His laugh alone is a distinguishing part of his character.
- Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: For Liam the Leprechaun, Grapefruit, and almost every one-shot character.
- Troll: His main hobby is getting a rise out of other foods.
- Token Evil Teammate: If his name didn't already clue you in, he's clearly the cruelest out of all of the main cast, especially after Flanderization took effect.
- Took a Level in Jerkass: Not that he was ever a saint, but later episodes of the web series have made him out to be far more malicious in his heckling and treating his friends like butts of the joke more often than not. It's gotten to the point where Grapefruit seems like a nicer guy.
- Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist: He makes fun of other foods, is an unrepentant Gasshole, and treats his friends more like punchlines than companions, but that's what draws people to him.
- Vibrant Orange: The Annoying Orange is hyperactive, talkative and attention-hungry much to the annoyance of anyone in his proximity.
- Villain Protagonist: He's ventured into this over the years, with his Lack of Empathy and borderline sadism becoming more blatant.
- Vocal Evolution: Not a very big one, but if you listen to his voice in earliest videos such as Plumpkin and his voice in Crabapple, you'll definitely notice his voice got higher and more nasally starting with "Crabapple".
- With Friends Like These...: He annoys his friends just as much as he would anyone else in the kitchen, if not more-so.
Pear
Voiced by: Dane Boedigheimer (Daneboe)
First appearance: The Annoying Orange
Orange's best friend — or rather not, as he likes to claim. A green Williams pear who functions as the kitchen's Only Sane Man and, in the eyes of his friends, The Bore. Pear would rather enjoy a normal day, be it sitting on the counter reading a book, teaching new things to viewers, or telling stories. But when you're friends with the Annoying Orange, it's near-impossible to do so. From Orange's petty jokes to a boatload of objects dropping on top of him, his luck is... quite bad to say the least.- Berserk Button:
- Orange going off-topic on the HOW2 episodes annoys him very much. TNT is also a pretty big one for him.
- Thanks to Flanderization, the very presence of Orange himself seems to be becoming this in recent years.
- Boke and Tsukkomi Routine: Tsukkomi to Orange's Boke.
- Bookworm: He likes to read books during his spare time and narrates classical books during the Storytime segments. Unfortunately for him, he's often disrupted by Orange.
- The Bore: What the other fruits see him as, and considering some of his hobbies include collecting pocket protectors, eating rice crackers, and listening to the Rickroll song on repeat, it's not too surprising to see why they think this considering all the whacky antics the other fruits get up to. Not to mention that an ordinary day with all the other fruits is quite possibly the most boring thing there is. He also flat-out refuses to participate in a lot of the other fruits antics. Oftentimes warning them that things will go wrong.
- Butt-Monkey: The other fruits look down on him for being "boring", and he's frequently the victim of Orange's antics. Exaggerated in the Youtube Stories featued on the Ask Orange series.
- Character Blog: He's on Facebook, Twitter, and the official blog.
- Characterization Marches On:
- Believe it or not, Orange Goes Hollywood had him outright admit he was Orange's best friend and he didn't take kindly to getting replaced in that role, a far cry from the Pear who would stubbornly deny so later on.
- While he was always a serious Straight Man to Orange in earlier episodes, that didn't stop him from launching into activities others would find fun (with the biggest activity going to "WAZZUP!" sessions). Now, he's The Bore of the group who outright refuses to partake in what his friends do.
- The Chew Toy: Anything and everything frequently goes wrong for him.
- Child Hater: For whatever reason, Ask Orange #13 reveals that he can't stand babies, and it's never brought up again in future episodes.
- Cool Shades: In Naval Orange, FPS Orange, and Annoying Orange - Easter Island.
- Deadpan Snarker: Mainly whenever dealing with Orange's obnoxious behavior.
- The Dog Bites Back: Once in a while, Pear will get his opportunity to teach Orange a lesson. He gets back at Orange when he takes on the "Google Yourself" challenge. With a little help from photoshop, Pear proceeds to exploit Oranges crush on Passion with several Ship Tease fansites dedicated to the pairing, including an implied baby site, and even an offical wedding site.
- In a youtube short Orange is told that if he tells a joke a dancing hippo will appear. Cue Pear coming in with a pun book and then deliberately setting up jokes with puns but not saying the punch line saying he doesn't know them, driving Orange so crazy (complete with Orange's face going red and steam coming out of his ears) that Orange says at least six punch lines in rapid succession. Pear then knowingly smiles, thanks Orange for sharing, and watches as the dancing hippos appear and Orange runs away screaming!
- Flanderization: He got less and less patient over time.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: He can be quite irritable when it comes to Orange. Then again, it's hard to blame him given what Orange regularly puts him through.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Orange, whether he wants to admit it or not..
- Hypocritical Humor: Despite being called boring multiple times in the series, he laughs with everyone else in "Easy as Pi" when Little Apple jokes that the knife probably sliced off the part of Professor Pie's brain that makes him so boring.
- The Lancer: Seems to be the second-in-command when it comes to the fruits. There are quite a few times where another fruit will follow Pear's lead, and despite all the misery he's put through, he tends to stick by Orange regardless.
- Nice Guy: For the most part, he's a friendly guy to others, especially compared to Orange.
- No-Respect Guy: He's constantly looked down upon for being "boring".
- Not So Above It All: While he can be the Only Sane Man, there are a few times when he'll crack a few puns himself or join in on the fun. He even suggests once that it could be a coping mechanism.
- Only Sane Man: While he can sometimes be just as annoying as Orange, he will often act as this if there is nobody else to do it.(while Orange is being cloned in Million Clones)
Pear: This is a terrible idea! No good can come from this!
Voice: It's not terrible, Pear. What better way to thank the subscribers than to make a million Oranges? - Power Parasite: During his time as the Pearasite, he can steal other peoples powers for himself and leave them defenseless, as he demonstrates with Grapefruit. During his proper battle with Orange, he tries to use it only for it to steal the power of a Marsh-Minion.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Blue Oni to Orange's Red Oni. He's smart and reasonable, while Orange is loud and immature.
- Temporarily a Villain: In Despicable Me Too, he is portrayed as the supervillain, Pearasite, who imprisons the Leaning Tower of Pizza in his lair and battles Orange.
- Vocal Evolution: His voice got higher after his first appearance, but eventually went back down.
Little Apple
Voiced by: Dane Boedigheimer (Daneboe)
First appearance: Crabapple
Smaller than the average apple, Midget- or as he wishes to be called, Little- Apple is one of Orange's friends, though Orange's incessant height-related jokes always drive him nuts. He's also illiterate, and no matter how much he denies it, Orange, Pear, and the others can see right through it. Also, he is one of the youngest members of the Kitchen Gang, which makes him NUMBER #1.- Berserk Button: Early in the series' run, calling him "Midget Apple" will cause him to angrily respond with "It's Little Apple!". As the series progressed though, that button eventually disappeared and his new button became just making fun of his size in general.
- He also doesn't like jokes being made towards his blatant illiteracy.
- Catchphrase:
- The usual one:
Character X: [insert sentence that has "Midget Apple" in it here]Midget Apple: Hey! It's Little Apple! (or a variation of that) - Character Blog: He's on Facebook, Twitter, and the official blog.
- Cool Car: Has his own monster truck.
- Cool Shades: In Buddy Cops.
- Deadpan Snarker:Marshmallow: Hey! Sorry I'm late for the party!Little Apple: Hello?Marshmallow: Hi! I'm Marshmallow! Will you be my friend?Little Apple: Get me out of this cupcake and I'll be your best friend!
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Marshmallow.
- Hunter of Monsters: He's used his Monster Truck to turn several ghouls into roadkill, be it blobs, zombies, Slenderman, werewolves and even ghosts.
- Never Learned to Read: Repeatedly displays complete illiteracy. Not that he'll admit it.
- Pintsized Powerhouse: At least in Wishful Thinking's It's a Wonderful Plot, where he was shown to have beaten up Grapefruit.
- Ridiculously Cute Fruit: Though not to the same extent as Marshmallow.
- Those Two Guys: With Marshmallow.
- Unexplained Recovery: Multiple times in Cartoon Network's Web Game Annoying Orange Pinball.
- Your Size May Vary: In Crabapple, he's smaller than Crabapple, but in later episodes he's probably about the size of Crabapple. And in Annoying Orange meets Charlie the Unicorn (Spoof), he's nearly the size of a normal apple.
Marshmallow
Voiced by: Dane Boedigheimer (Daneboe)
First appearance: Saw 2: Annoying Death Trap
An eternally cheerful and optimistic marshmallow with a very unique family tree and one of the very few foods who can actually get along with Orange. Marshmallow scarcely ever gets angry... but when they do, all hell breaks loose. Their gender is a mystery to their friends and the audience for years... until "PRIDE" reveals that they are non-binary.- Alien Among Us: The High Fructose Adventures episode "Marshmalia" reveals that they're from the planet Marshmalia.
- All-Loving Hero: They get along with everyone, even their evil teddy bear in Orange Nya-Nya Style.
- Ambiguous Gender: For a good 12 years this was their primary Running Gag. "PRIDE". Finally answered the question: Non-binary.
- Berserk Button:
- As Grapefruit found out in "Best Fiends Forever", burning a picture of Princess Butterflykiss is one effective way to enrage them.
Marshmallow: Nobody hurts Princess Butterflykiss!- Declining an offer to be friends with them also brings out the worst in them. The pigs from Angry Birds learned this the hard way.
Marshmallow: You... don't wanna be friends... with me? (suddenly goes into a destructive rage that causes a thunderstorm, destroying the structure and killing the pigs)Orange: Geez! Marshmallow sure knows how to lighten them up! (laughs)Marshmallow: Yay! A rainbow!- Insulting their favorite things will also set them off, as Little Apple and Bran Ram found out.
- Beware the Nice Ones: As seen in Best Fiends Forever, Annoying Orange vs Angry Birds: MARSHMALLOW, and Buddy Cops.
- Big Eater: At least when it comes to bacon, as seen in Epic Peel Time.
- Break the Cutie: In Best Fiends Forever when they're visibly hurt by Grapefruit burning his picture of Princess Butterfly Kiss, before they unleashed their wrath.
- Character Blog: They're on Facebook, Twitter, and the official blog.
- Cloudcuckoolander:Midget Apple: OK, that's one more vote for Double Rainbow, and three more for Chocolate Rain. What's that bring the total to, Marshmallow?Marshmallow: Unicorn!Midget Apple: That's not a number!Marshmallow: Yes it is! Unicorns are number one! YAAAY!
- Cool Shades: In Party Rock (ft. DeStorm), Annoying Orange - Easter Island.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Do not deny Marshmallow friendship, or hate on unicorns in front of them.
- Cuteness Proximity: They sparked this reaction from many viewers.
- Disney Death: Near the end of Wishful Thinking, they are dropped into a mug of hot chocolate like in the Alternate Universe. As the others mourn their apparent demise, they suddenly emerge from the mug and compares the hot chocolate to "a hot tub full of love".
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Little Apple.
- In Touch with His Feminine Side: Their femininity and love for unicorns is why several fans mistook them for a girl.
- Made of Iron: On top of the unexplained recoveries, their unaffected by a saw in Saw 2: Annoying Death Trap, and even survives being dunked in hot cocoa at the end of Wishful Thinking.
- Morality Pet: Next to Passion and Sis, they're one of the few characters Orange doesn't try to spite in any way.
- Sneeze of Doom: As seen in Sneezing Marshmallow (Sneezing Baby Panda Spoof) and The Amnesiac Orange. (For some inexplicable reason, they sneeze glitter.)
- Those Two Guys: With Midget Apple.
- Token Good Teammate: The only member of the cast who is consistently nice.
- Unexplained Recovery: They're set on fire at the ends of Saw 2: Annoying Death Trap and Happy Birthday!, but is shown undamaged in later episodes.
- Verbal Tic: Yay!
Passion Fruit
Voiced by: Justine Ezarik (iJustine)
First appearance: Passion of the Fruit
Introduced in tandem with Grapefruit, Passion Fruit is Orange's one and only true and beautiful crush, and, somehow, Orange's Morality Pet. Unfortunately, Orange's inability to admit his feelings leads to her considering them as Just Friends, when in reality Orange would want much more than that. She seems to be somewhat of a dude magnet, as evidenced by Orange, Grapefruit, and few more falling in love and trying to impress her. She did gain a boyfriend in granidilla G.G, but his nasty behavior caused things to fall apart. She's the most level-headed female fruit in the kitchen, rivaling Pear in terms of sanity.- Action Girl: Annoying Orange vs Angry Birds: PASSION FRUIT reveals her to be a black belt.
- Ascended Extra: Before being Demoted to Extra once again.
- Character Blog: She's on Facebook, Twitter, and the official blog.
- Closer to Earth: During The Exploding Orange, while Orange has the hiccups:Passion Fruit: Look, everybody. The important thing right now is to just remain calm.(Orange hiccups)(Everyone freaks out)Passion Fruit: No, no, NO! Everybody just shut up!
- Morality Pet: One of the only fruits Orange doesn't try to antagonize, owing to his crush on her.
- Only Sane Man: Calmer than most of the characters.
- Spell My Name With An S: Her name is occasionally listed as one word ("Passionfruit").
- The Smurfette Principle: She's the only recurring female character.
- Tertiary Sexual Characteristics: Has lipstick and makeup.
- Vocal Evolution: In Passion of the Fruit, her voice is higher than in later episodes. (She doesn't have the high voice in PASSION FRUIT!!!, but that video doesn't count since iJustine playing herself as a passion fruit, not the character Passion Fruit.)
Grapefruit
Voiced by: Bob Jennings (Bobjenz) (2010-2021), Jon Bailey (2021-current)
First appearance: Passion of the Fruit
Arrogant, strong, and prideful, Grapefruit was introduced in tandem with Passion Fruit, getting on Orange's bad side for having a crush on Passion and being all-around rude and troublesome. He met a gruesome end at the hands of Knife, but was revived as "Frankenfruit" and, since then, became a core member of the cast. No matter how hard Grapefruit tries to boost his ego and prove himself capable of anything and everything, fate always makes sure to Break the Haughty. Beneath his egocentric demeanor lies a heart of gold, which his time of hanging with Orange and his friends seem to have brought out.- Abhorrent Admirer: Grapefruit prides himself as a ladies' man, but it's obvious that's not the case; his attempts to impress them frequently fall flat and end up making him a bigger fool out of himself. Passionnote and Sisnote have both lampshaded this many times:Passion: (during a "The Juice" episode in Christmas after Grapefruit tries hitting on her) On behalf of ladies everywhere... eh, no.
- Adaptational Villainy: In High Fructose Adventures, he takes on an active role as the antagonist in a couple of episodes, most notably in "Fruit-Vengers", where he is shown brutally murdering vegetables with his telekinetic powers.
- Back from the Dead: In Frankenfruit, despite appearing alive in the earlier episodes Liam The Leprechaun - Liam Vs. Grapefruit! (Characters From The Annoying Orange!) and Liam The Leprechaun - Lousy Limericks.
- Bad Liar: Mostly on his Facebook and Twitter pages, but occasionally in the series as well.
- Berserk Button:
- He was very offended when Orange called him "chubby" in his debut episode, and proceeded to angrily correct him, swearing all the while.
- Make fun of his mom? Hope you've got strong legs, because Grapefruit is going to chase and possibly beat you with a baseball bat in his nonexistant hands.
- Butt-Monkey: Second to Pear, he often gets blown up, mocked by Orange for his "weight", etc. This is especially shown in the "Challenge" videos.
- Cast as a Mask: In April Fruits Day, he disguises himself as Midget Apple and while in disguise is voiced by Daneboe instead of Bobjenz.
- Character Blog: He's on Facebook, Twitter, and the official blog.
- Cool Shades: In Poison Apple.
- Drop-In Character: He lived in another house until Best Fiends Forever.
- Flanderization: Grapefruit's unluckiness got worse and worse over time, to the point where it makes Pear look like a winner.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: None of the others really like him, but they still let him hang around. Gradually, he stops being this after he Took a Level in Kindness, with Orange's Flanderization causing him to take his spot.
- I Fight for the Strongest Side!: In Kung Fruit he becomes Coconut's servant after Coconut uses Kung Fruit on him, and in Wishful Thinking's It's a Wonderful Plot he joins in on insisting that Midget Apple's name is Little Apple after Midget Apple beats him up. It's also implied after he was beaten up by Marshmallow in "Best Fiends Forever" that this happened in every episode after.
- Insufferable Imbecile: He is an egotistical idiot whose attempts to show off often blow up in his face.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He has evolved into this as the series progressed.
- Kick the Dog: Burning Marshmallow's picture of Princess Butterfly Kiss in Best Fiends Forever. The results were not pretty.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Suffers from this most of the time. Especially in Best Fiends Forever when after he spitefully burns Marshmallow's Princess Butterfly Kiss photo, he gets burnt by the explosion of Marshmallow's anger.
- The Nth Doctor: The in-universe reason for his voice changing from Bobjenz to Jon Bailey is due to one of Dr. Bananas's inventions, as covered in Grapefruit's New Voice.
- Small Name, Big Ego: He frequently brags about things he's never actually done or accomplished.
- Took a Level in Kindness: Not by a whole lot, but in contrast to Orange who ironically just seems to get worse as time goes on, Grapefruit's self-centered tendencies have become relatively downplayed and he's been shown to be more friendly and considerate towards the others than he was before.
- Unexplained Recovery:
- He's cut up at the end of Passion of the Fruit (and confirmed to be dead in Grapefruit's Revenge), but reappears in Liam The Leprechaun - Liam Vs. Grapefruit! (Characters From The Annoying Orange!) (which is set before Grapefruit's Revenge) and Liam The Leprechaun - Lousy Limericks, both prior to his coming Back from the Dead in Frankenfruit.
- Hand Waved on Grapefruit's Facebook page: "As long as as [sic] grapefruit's [sic] exist I shall exist and that's that bubby!" (though this claim is dubious at best; see Bad Liar above), though it does back up a Wild Mass Guessing theory that when a fruit is knifed its soul is transported to the body of another fruit, explaining Grandpa Lemon's recovery.
- Multiple times in Cartoon Network's Web Game Annoying Orange Pinball.
Grandpa Lemon
Voiced by: Kevin Brueck
First appearance: Grandpa Lemon
An old lemon who first appeared as the only man who could match Orange in annoyance. Since then, he's grown into the oldest out of all of Orange's friends, although he isn't as senile as he looks, since he also has some practice in motorcycle tricks.- Back from the Dead: In Frankenfruit.
- Character Blog: He's on Facebook and Twitter.
- Cool Old Guy: He rides motorcycles, and even does motorcycle jumps.
- Gasshole: Grandpa lemon is known for how flatulent he is.
- Posthumous Character: In Orange Potter and the Deathly Apple, as Grandpa Lemondore, he only appears in a Dead Person Conversation with Orange Potter.
- Robe and Wizard Hat: In Orange Potter and the Deathly Apple, as Grandpa Lemondore, he wears a wizard hat.
- Senior Sleep-Cycle: he manages to fall asleep while getting cut in half.
- Sleepyhead: He falls asleep a lot.
- Unexplained Recovery: Multiple times in Cartoon Network's Web Game Annoying Orange Pinball.
Orange's Sister (Sis)
Voiced by: Jess Lizama
First Appearance: Annoying Sister
Orange's equally annoying sister.- Distaff Counterpart: Orange, but a girl.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Despite being just as annoying as her brother, she's much nicer than him by comparison.
Squash
Voiced by: Dane Boedigheimer (Daneboe)
First appearance: Ask Orange #1
A butternut squash who's main thing is to land on unsuspecting foods, something he has no control over.- Catchphrase: "Ewww gross!"
- Character Blog: He's on Facebook and Twitter.
- Expy: Of the Squash from Plants vs. Zombies.
- Mad Libs Catchphrase: In his catchphrase, he sometimes replaces "gross" with other things.
- Perpetual Frowner: Since he is always being dropped on his victims, something which he dislikes very much, this is understandable.
Mustachios
Voiced by: Craig Benzine (Wheezy Waiter)
First appearance: Mystery of the Mustachios
- Accidental Misnaming: The ones in Mystery of the Mustachios.
- Character Blog: They're on Facebook and Twitter.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: In Mystery of the Mustachios, Orange and Pear immediately recognize them as Pistachios, but the Pistachio-eating human apparently was fooled.

Apple

An apple who had its skin peeled off and happily walks around the kitchen without it.
- Birds of a Feather: He gets along swimmingly with Orange and loves to be as annoying as him.
- Naked People Are Funny: His whole ordeal is that he is naked.
- They Killed Kenny Again: In a fair amount of his appearances, Nude Dude gets killed in some way at the end. In his first appearance, he is cut up by knife. In his second, he is eaten by a werewolf. In his third, and apple bobber bites him.

- Conspiracy Theorist: He has a ton of outrageous conspiracies relating to the current situation. Sometimes he turns out to be right.
- Insane Troll Logic: Most of his conspiracies rely on this. For instance, he believes that Steven Spielberg deceived the general public into believing dinosaurs exist based on the huge box office success of Jurassic Park.
- Punny Name: His name is a pun on the word "lunatic", which sums up his character in a nutshell.
Corey
First Appearance: The Sibling challenge
Little Apple's thrill-seeking half-brother.
- Berserk Button: Don't call him "yellow". That man is willing to take another knife if it means avoiding ridicule.
- Beyond the Impossible: Getting cut in half means imminent death for any fruit. Cory managed to survive this at the cost of half of his brain.
- Blessed with Suck: The good thing about getting cut in half is that you lose half of your brain, getting rid of some attributes you probably dislike. The bad thing? You're still losing half of your brain, so while Corey lost the half that controlled his fear, he also lost some more useful attributes, like the part that allows him to breathe and the part that allowed him to do basic math.
- Fearless Fool: Lost the part of his brain that controls fear.
- Half the Man He Used to Be: Was sliced in half years ago, though it doesn't seem to have slowed him down.
- Visual Pun: His entire shtick is that he's cut in half, making him quite literally a half brother.

Grapefruit! (Characters From The Annoying Orange!), which picks up from where Luck o' the Irish left off and shows that squashing him sends him back to the leprechaun world rather than harming him (though in Liam's Top Ten Most Annoying Annoying Orange Videos he claims to have to go through "months of painful recovery").
- Transplant: He was originally a Wicked Awesome Films character, but eventually became part of the Annoying Orange cast.
- Unexplained Recovery: See They Killed Kenny above.
- Your Size May Vary: He usually appears around as small as the foods, but is human-sized in Liam The Leprechaun in a Tree! and The Annoying Orange Behind the Scenes : The Partners Project Out-Takes.
