Characters: The Annotated Series

A list of the current annotators...and growing.
First band.

CurtDogg

Annotator since- CTRL+Alt+Del: The Annotated Series

The friendly man who started it all by creating the channel and uploading CRTL+ALT+DEL. He was once the main uploader and one of the primary annotators before unofficially leaving at the near start of The Annotate Xperiment.

jmr48080

Annotator since-
I submit that there is nothing more terrifying than an animal with a mouth full of human teeth.

CurtDogg's Lancer and one of the more reclusive annotators.

Avirosb

Annotator since- CTRL+Alt+Del: The Annotated Series S2
Also, isn't Mother Brain already allied with Malkil and Eggplant Wizard? What the fuck does she need MORE wizards for?!

Annotation Color: Green

The Smart Guy who provides a lot of more intellectual jokes. He took over the role of Big Good from CurtDogg after the first channel jump.
  • Funny Foreigner: While this is kind of flawed, most of the annotators are American or British, while Avi stands out as being Norwegian. You'd never notice unless he told you.
  • Shown Their Work: His contributions show this. invoked
  • The Smart Guy
    • The Hero of the AnnotatXperiment channel. Sort of the Moses leading on when shared annotations ended.
  • 10-Minute Retirement: Tends to retire briefly whenever Youtube makes a change in the annotation system.

ReloadPsi

Annotator since April 2010.

Annotation Color: Teal

A minor annotator who later became part of the main group. He provides some musical contributions to the channels, as well as performing in the Easter Egg videos.
  • Ascended Extra: Appeared briefly in Annotated Daydream after having made minor contributions to the annotations for the past year, then went on to perform a number of Easter Egg videos.
  • Bi the Way: Once stated that the main reason he didn't find Bouchedags as hard to watch was because he found Sam and Steve kind of cute.
  • The Voice: Started uploading his vocalisations of the surf music songs during Captain N.

Irrelevant402

Annotator since- Street Fighter S2 Ep07
Remember Irrelevant: becareful what you wish for.

Annotation Color: Black

The ever-present Token Evil Teammate who loves to troll his fellow annotators by uploading the worst stuff he can find.
  • Attention Whore
  • Author Appeal: Giant robots, Guyver, Paradise Lost, and things like character development and continuity nods.
  • Bald of Evil: Nutshack...(He is both balding and shaves his head.)
  • Berserk Button: Child molesters and rapists in general, female characters that are just 'the female character', friendship being told and not shown, the Nutshack and extremists of any sort.
  • Bi the Way: But was not the Annotator who found some of the Bouchedags attractive.
  • The Chick: Contacted as many people as possible to rally around Avirosb after sharing annotations ended.
  • Dude, Not Funny!!: Rape gets under his skin very quickly and was upset when Santa cried during the Pac-Man special. invoked
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Could not bring himself to mock Bouchedags. Hypocritical considering he finds Nutshack even worse and only because it has old men with constant boners. Nor could he taunt Jay's Life because he could sympathize with that young teenager attitude of 'lol this is funny!' Also Bouchedags, Nutshack and CAD had actual money involved so they could apparently be mocked. If he tries to force a running gag and people hate it he'll fess up and apoligize too.
  • Fat Bastard: Slimming down though
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: Often wants and typically gets vodka during the worst stuff.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold
  • Never Live It Down: His fellow annotators will never forget him wanting Nutshack and Beauty and Warrior (even if he didn't upload them himself). invoked
  • Real Men Wear Pink: Is not ashamed to admit he loves My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and citing Shrinking Violet Fluttershy as his favorite among the main cast.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Red to Avirosb's blue.
  • Shown Their Work: Having gone to culinary school he pointed out several problems with the extremely lax kitchen staff in Ratatoing.
  • Token Evil Teammate: After learning how to upload videos he is not afraid to upload The Nutshack if he doesn't feel there aren't enough intermissions.
  • Working Through The Cold: Or rather a broken ankle in April and trying to annote every once in a while.

Second band.

creatorofGandP

Annotator since-

Hamsteere

Annotator since- The end of "Captain N: The Game Master" Season 1

HurpDurpManBry

Annotator since- The Legend of Zelda: The Annotated Series
They're actually doing something? Bullshit.

Annotation Color: Dark Blue

An Ascended Fanboy Floridian with some rather... interesting thought processes. Gets the gears going as being the official uploader.
  • Ascended Fanboy: Watched the entirety of Ctrl-Alt-Del Annotated, and within a month later made brief annotations in Legend of Zelda and the Battletoads/Bubsy pilots. He didn't shine through until Captain N: The Game Master.
  • Author Avatar: Robotnik from Sonic SatAM, according to his opposers.
  • Berserk Button: Puns. Also slow pacing and plot holes.
  • Cloud Cuckoolander
  • Crazy-Prepared: Has taken up this mantle since Bauglir100 went AWOL. He prepares videos two days before the air date in case something comes up in his schedule.
  • The Everyman
  • The Heart: Reasonably passionate for this entire thing.
  • I Shall Taunt You: Taunts mercilessly at Youtube to take down their videos.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Advertised Voice Actor Richard Newman's fundraiser which was meant to help him and his daughter to pay their rent. Also he dedicates videos to some recently at-that-time deceased celebrities such as Robin Williams.
  • One of Us
  • Seen It All
  • The Smart Guy: Is The Other Darrin for this, while Hamsteere has problems with his own video editor.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Uploaded "Dr. D and The Human Life Machine" when people uploaded unplanned videos, and when Irrelevant was considering the second episode of The Nutshack to be uploaded... And waited a total of eight hours to upload all three parts of the second Dr. D video
  • The Voiceless: He once only suggested video ideas and commentates and annotates on videos earlier in the project, though he turned it around by being more active, and by willing to upload Sonic Underground and The Super Mario Brothers Super Shownote  throughout both of their entire run before retiring from uploading duties after a year.. before coming back and sharing uploading duties with VonClutch.

Former Annotators.

Owandt

Annotator until- The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3: The Annotated Series

A former annotator who left the series some time ago. Was hated by pretty much everyone due to his incredibly forced and lame jokes.
  • And There Was Much Rejoicing: No one misses him at all. In fact, they end up mocking him sometimes by either parodying his Republican banter, or jokingly fearing that he sneaked onto the channel.
  • Anvilicious: Most of his annotations forced jokes about Republicans and technology. invoked
  • The Chew Toy
  • Dude, Not Funny!: His fellow annotators did not hesitate to Invoke this upon him whenever he posted an annotation that they didn't like. invoked
  • The Friend Nobody Likes
  • The Scrappy: Largely seen as this during the Beeupyou days. invoked

Bauglir100

Annotator till- Super Mario World: The Annotated Series - Unknown

A Crazy-Prepared annotator/fan fic writer who handles the scheduling for the series. Known for nigh unflappable personality. Unofficially discharged for shilling his fan fiction and not contributing anything to the channel.

New Generation Annotators.

Other members of the channel that stand out from the others, most of them joined around the second channel hop.

Cyberguy64

Annotator since- Megaman
This episode has the budget of a Happy Meal.

Annotation Color: Cyan.

A new annotator who joined on after the jump to TheAnnotationStation.

Vonclutch

Annotator since - The End of Darkstalkers

Annotation Color: A different shade of Dark Blue

One of the newer generation annotators and co-uploader with Hurpdurp since March 2015. Takes far more calmer approach to the material, but there are expections.

  • Acceptable Targets: Furries and certain fandoms for him.
  • Ascended Fanboy
  • Author Appeal: If he uploads an episode, he'll most likely put things he likes as commercials and credit gags.
  • Bash Brothers: With Hurpdurpmanbry. Since Sa TAM, he always proceeds to take shots at him.
  • Berserk Button: While relatively calm, Hanna-Barbera's work and Memes drive him into riff-induced anger.
  • He Also Did: Runs two Tumblr blogs that riff on certain terrible webcomics.
  • Ho Yay: Isn't too afraid to admit his homoerotic fictional crushes.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: Whenever incest is implied in material, he'll immediately start making light of it.
  • The Heart
  • Running Gag: Always tries to force one, most of the time it actually succeeds in catching on.

Mr. Y

Another one of the newer-generation annotators.Annotator since- Dinosaur Adventure

Annotation Color: Yellow

ShiningPokeStar

Annotator since- The Flintbones

Annotation Color: Lime Green

MagnumBill91

Annotator since- Dinosaur Adventure

Annotation Color: Purple

  • A Day in the Limelight: The final part of the last annotated Star Wars Droids episode was annotated entirely by him.
  • Ascended Fanboy: Started watching during the Sonic Underground/Super Mario Bros. Super Show era. His first contribution to the series was a single guest annotation for the Season 2 premiere of Mega Man.
  • Author Appeal: The ProStars episodes he annotated contain several references to the Detroit Red Wings.
    • He'll also reference the "WARM UP TIME! FOLLOW THAT DOLPHIN!" line from Wave Race 64 whenever he gets the chance.
  • Driven to Suicide: Tried to kill himself with cyanide and motor oil in Felix Saves Christmas.
    • Tried to kill himself again with Shining Poke Star's Running Gag gun during the "Head" song from Donkey Kong Country, only to discover that she had finally used all the bullets.
      • After the "It's a Wonderful Life" episode of DKC, he decides to take what he learned from the episode to heart. The result: shooting himself in the style of the aforementioned Running Gag.
  • Forced Meme: During the second season of DKC, he tried to force a gag known as "Subliminal Season 1 Krusha." It originated from the infamous Ian Corlett-penned time stop episode. The third act uses Stock Footage of a flash hit from the Season 1 finale for when DK punches Klump and Krusha. When placing the footage into the episode, the editors left in one frame of Krusha from the source episode. When it showed up again in another episode, he tried to make it into a counting gag. Unfortunately for him, later Season 2 episodes would use an original flash hit animation, thus killing the gag. By the Season 2 finale, he admitted that this was a forced gag.
    • He also forced a gag about K. Rool losing more and more of his Kritters due to his bad decisions that never really caught on.
  • One of Us: I wrote this entry.
  • Sir Not Appearing In This Episode: Comes and go very sporadically.
  • Verbal Tic: Usually begins his annotations with "Damn" or "Christ" or something to that effect.

NewStuffs

Annotator since- The Flintbones

Annotation Color: Lemon Yellow (as himself)/Black (When narrating)

  • Author Appeal/Running Gag: Often likes to change the title of what's being mocked.
    • Also has a tendency to make jokes based on music, to where in his initial appearances, had a habit of singing lyrics to old songs.
  • On a Scale from One to Ten: Another recurring joke of his.
  • The Narrator: Occasionally takes on the role for scene transitions.
  • Off Model: Will usually be the one to joke about or point out some of the animation mistakes of the material presented.
As Micheal Jordan, after the colors of his uniform change: "This just blues my stripe."
  • Rape as Comedy: Invoked in the Woody Woodpecker and Rick Dees in Let's All Recycle!, where he thought one of the three new 'R's Woody was referring to was 'Rape'.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here!: Has attempted to pull this off on a few occasions, but tends to either return or get rejected. Poked fun of this in the "Jesus Vs. Frosty" video.
    "Oh wait."
  • Sir Not Appearing In This Episode: Usually disappears as often as he appears.

Wombatus777

Annotator since- Q-Bert

A curmudgeonly windbag. Has no set annotation color but usually uses orange.

  • Art Attacker: Occasionally makes simple ASCII images or things constructed from note annotations.
  • Berserk Button: Is pretty chill or at least tolerant about most of the things being mocked. But he has absolutely no patience for smarmy and rude know-it-alls. Maria Ramirez of Our Annotated Friend, Martin is one such character.
I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate this girl. ...Hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate... HAAATE!!!
  • Downer Ending: The usual fate of annoying cartoon protagonists, according to some of his annotations. The antagonists usually fare better.
  • Flavor Text: Sometimes writes miniature narratives involving the characters in the works being mocked. Usually used to invoke a sense of doom.
  • I Work Alone: Mainly just annotates. If he posts on the forums, it's usually just for a quick little blurb.
  • One of Us: And also a shameless self-promoter.
  • Overly Long Gag: Frequently.
  • Running Gag: Presenting statements as "FACT"s or "TRUE FACT"s. These do occasionally contain actual facts.
  • Self-Deprecation: Will occasionally make jokes portraying himself as a huge pervert.

Characters Of Works

Their own interpretations of characters. invoked

Shirt

Lucas's shirt.

Sagat

M. Bison's second-in-command. Despite supposedly being a skilled muay thai expert, he's actually a loser can't even knock a chainlink fence over.

Simon Belmont

Kevin's Eccentric Mentor who is training him to be a great hero. He pretends to be a Smug Snake moron to provide learning experience to Kevin.

The Oracle of Delphius

The Big Bad who is manipulating both heroes and villains to his own mysterious ends. He poses as a wise oracle to trick people into trusting him.

Queen Aleena

Sonic, Sonia, and Manic's neglectful and cowardly mother. She abandoned her children to their fates in order to work for the Oracle Of Delphius.
  • Abusive Parent: For how much she talks about honesty and facing reality, she sure wants to stay away from her children with gusto.
  • Dirty Coward
  • The Dragon: Maybe, being the dragon to The Oracle, the true Big Bad.
  • Fan Nick Name: Queen Meanie because of how Robotnik prounouced her name in one episode.
    • Also, "Weiner Leader" for the same reason.
  • Hypocrite

Kree

Just you wait until I've got you in a dark corner. I'll give you a damn good beating!

A rare gem, Kree is an example of a likable character from a Dingo Pictures film. A Pterodactyl (Sometimes affectionately called a Ptrolledactyl.) with a superiority complex over all the other dinosaurs due to his wings. His sarcasm and wit earned him the title of Honorary Annotator.

  • Call Back: The appearance of anything dinosaur related is sure to bring up quotes of his. Even more likely if there's another Pterodon.
  • Catch Phrase: "Mammoth mayhem!"
  • Ensemble Darkhorse
  • Take That, Scrappy!: Universally won the annotators over with his constant mocking of the movie's scrappy, Peak.

Don Oriolo

Producer, musician, third generation owner of Felix The Cat and the Ultimate Evil. Was behind Felix the Cat Saves Christmas, whose painfulness started the annotators intense hatred towards him. Wants to cause pain and depression by making horrible puns. Sometimes appears off-screen in punny materials to compliment the pun or get inspired.
