The Dark Purveyors

    open/close all folders

    General
  • Abstract Apotheosis: All of the Dark Purveyors managed to Ascend to demi-godhood by choosing to become infernal punishers like their adoptive parents. They would later move on to true godhood under the tutelage of various benevolent deities.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: All of the Dark Purveyors have horrible pasts that gave them incredible trauma and shaped them into becoming who they are in the present, something that their video-game counterparts lack.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: The Dark Purveyors of Lollipop Chainsaw lacked backstories that explained their personalities and how they came to be. The Codex versions of the Dark Purveyors have backstories... but they're utterly horrific and sad.
  • Adaptational Badass: The Dark Purveyors from Lollipop Chainsaw were superpowered Revenant Zombies with abilities that pertain to the music genre they're based on. By contrast, the Dark Purveyors of the Codexverse are bonafide gods.
  • Adaptational Heroism: The Dark Purveyors from Lollipop Chainsaw helped start a Zombie Apocalypse for an Emo Teen's petty revenge scheme because they can. The Dark Purveyors of the Codexverse are constructively evil deities who were used as Unwitting Pawns by Swan Song. They're also much more sympathetic overall compared to their video game counterparts.
  • Adaptation Species Change: The Dark Purveyors of Lollipop Chainsaw were Revenant Zombies with godlike powers. Here, the Dark Purveyors each come from different, non-human species like a Pony (Dühroham) or a Deer (Voľná Láska).
  • Co-Dragons: During the 'Swan Song Crisis', they — or rather, their divine avatars — all worked under Swan Song and answered equally to him, thanks to a Deal with the Devil he made with them in a bid for revenge. However, once Swan Song's plan to summon a Walpurgisnacht is revealed, they immediately turn on him and work to help the heroes kill it.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Pun aside, all of the Dark Purveyors have suffered traumatic pasts where they were abused by parental figures in different ways, shaping them into what they became today.
  • Dark Is Evil: Played with. They're called the Dark Purveyors, and they're infernal deities who are as depraved and horrifying as their adoptive parents, the Four Terrors. However, they use their natures for constructive purposes by tempting mortals to see if they'll persevere in the face of evil.
  • Deal with the Devil: Much like what happened in Lollipop Chainsaw, Swan Song made a deal with them in exchange for help in creating a Zombie Apocalypse in revenge towards everyone who wronged him. However, once they learned Swan Song tricked them into helping him summon a Walpurgisnacht by sacrificing their avatars, they turn against him and help the heroes kill the Walpurgisnacht before it inflicts colossal damage.
  • Deity of Human Origin: All of the Dark Purveyors were mortals who managed to Ascend to demi-godhood, then true godhood under the tutelage of various deities.
  • Divine Parentage: All of the Dark Purveyors would be adopted by the Four Terrors. While their extreme PTSD initially made things difficult between them, they gradually came to see their adopters as family.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: They all love their adoptive parents, the Four Terrors, as well as their adoptive siblings and cousins despite their traumas making things rocky between them at first. This love also extends to each other, with Dühroham having the closest relationship with his younger brother, Prince Lázadó.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Like the huge majority of their infernal family, they do not tolerate self-destructive evil. Despite working with Swan Song in creating a Zombie Apocalypse, they secretly undermined him by pushing many heroes to fight back against the zombies. And when they learned Swan Song used their divine avatars as sacrifices for a complex ritual to summon a Walpurgisnacht, they immediately decide to help the heroes put an end to it. This is a stark contrast to their video game counterparts, who willingly went with it For the Evulz.
  • Evil Versus Evil: Being more heroic than their video game counterparts, the Dark Purveyors are utterly opposed to those who follow destructive evil, which includes the Children of Ispita, whom they are related to by adoption.
  • Expy: Of the Dark Purveyors from Lollipop Chainsaw. Like their video game counterparts, the Dark Purveyors are a five-person band whose members each specialize in a specific genre of music, like classic rock (Dühroham) or psychedelic/acid rock (Voľná Láska).
  • Freudian Excuse: Deconstructed. All of the Dark Purveyors suffered horrific degrees of abuse and trauma that shaped them into what they became today. However, their trauma resulted in behaviors that proved to be harmful and/or self-destructive. Therefore, the Purveyors' adoptive families and relatives, as well as their mentors, seek to help them overcome their trauma so they can become better people. Finding a shared purpose in punishing the wicked was what allowed the Purveyors to Ascend.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: While a few of them came from elite backgrounds (Dühroham was the son of nobles, and Voľná Láska was essentially the Princess of her Neo-Alvslog Deer community), all of the Dark Purveyors were originally mortals who were horrifically abused by parental figures. Then they encountered benevolent deities who helped them recover from their trauma, inspiring them to become the divine punishers they are today.
  • Good Needs Evil: Much like the rest of their adoptive family and relatives, the Dark Purveyors believe good needs to be tested by evil so it can be more prepared to take on beings more evil than them.
  • Happily Adopted: As shown with Dühroham and Voľná Láska, all of the Dark Purveyors were born to Abusive Parents and went through extreme suffering because of their environment. They would be adopted by each of the Four Terrors individually, and though their trauma contributed to a rocky start, they came to see the Four Terrors as much better parental figures than their birth parents had been to them.
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: Subverted; all members are "Tier III"-ranked Ascendant deities, which, while ancient by mortal standards, makes them incredibly young by divine standards. This is because in the Codexverse, deities "grow" by getting Stronger with Age. Of the Dark Purveyors, Dühroham is the oldest of them because he Ascended to godhood first.
  • Ironic Hell: Being divine punishers, each member of the Dark Purveyors rules over a hell-fief that is specifically tailored to punish crimes that are related to their portfolios. For example, Dühroham's hell-fief focuses on uncontrolled fury and abuse of strength/technology, and Voľná Láska's hell-fief focuses on addiction as well as the darker side of the Hippie movement like love, nature, and spiritual enlightenment.
  • Must Make Amends: After the 'Swan Song Crisis' ended, the Dark Purveyors proceeded to help with rebuilding the Erobreseg Deer Realms to make up for Swan Song's actions.
  • Never Be Hurt Again: A variant — the crux of their Ascensions involved them choosing to become divine punishers so they can protect others from going through the same horrific trauma they themselves went through as mortal youths.
  • Our Gods Are Different: All members of the Dark Purveyors are Ascendant deities who are also divine representatives of the race they hailed from, as indicated by them possessing certain magics associated with their race(s).
  • Quirky Miniboss Squad: Much like the Dark Purveyors of Lollipop Chainsaw, they're a five-person band whose members take after the music genre they specialize in, such as classic rock or psychedelic/acid rock. And like their source inspirations, they acted as Co-Dragons for Swan Song during the 'Swan Song Crisis', though here they also secretly undermined Swan Song by pushing many heroes, including Sky Star and her family, to fight back against the Zombie Apocalypse.
  • Related in the Adaptation: The Dark Purveyors were not related to each other in Lollipop Chainsaw. Here, they became adoptive siblings and cousins after the Four Terrors took them in.
  • Rotten Rock & Roll: Four of the Dark Purveyors play sub-genres of rock: Dühroham plays classic rock, Voľná Láska plays psychedelic/acid rock, Hermaður plays viking metal, and Lázadó plays punk rock. They're also infernal deities, though it's subverted as they are Noble Demons who follow 'Constructive Evil' and punish the wicked.
  • Semi-Divine: All of the Dark Purveyors would become demi-deities following an epiphany that allows them to Ascend to that point. They would later Ascend to true godhood under the tutelage of various deities.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Whereas their video game counterparts willingly did it For the Evulz, the Dark Purveyors here were genuinely unaware that Swan Song intended to summon a Walpurgisnacht through a complex ritual, using their divine avatars as Human Sacrifices as fuel. Once they find out, they are furious and personally participate in the Final Battle to help put an end to the Walpurgisnacht. Once it's killed, the Dark Purveyors helped with rebuilding to make up for Swan Song's actions.

Prince Dühroham Erobreseg, the Furious Musician

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Fury, Strength, Music, Technology

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

"Rock n' Roll is here to stay; YOU'RE NOT!"

Prince Dühroham Erobreseg, born Glorious Legend (his entry here), is the Alicorn god of Fury, Strength, Music, and Technology, and is an adoptive member of the Deti Uzhasov.
  • Abstract Apotheosis: What led to him Ascending to demi-godhood was him choosing to be an infernal punisher like Yarost, believing that no one will suffer like he did as a foal if he went after those who gave in to their inner fury, and/or misused things like technology and music for wicked ends.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: During an academic stay in Malrègnar, he accidentally discovered that his Technology domain gives him control over Demon technology. Both his adoptive family and his Malrègnarian tutors are looking into studying this further.
  • Actually Pretty Funny: During a Codex Equus interview, he genuinely laughed in response to Blazing Path's quip about his hell-fief being "a suburban hellhole full of flank-holes".
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Unlike Lewis Legend, he gets a backstory in the Codexverse. Unfortunately, he's depicted here as a Shell-Shocked Veteran who was raised by his Abusive Parents to be nothing more than an unfeeling killing machine that brought victories for his native kingdom. While he was freed thanks to chance encounters with Blue Suede Heartstrings and Yarost, his upbringing left him with horrible PTSD, including guilt and a strong desire to die. He does get better eventually thanks to support and psychiatric help, but it was still an uphill battle for him.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: In Lollipop Chainsaw, Lewis Legend is an elite zombie from Rotten World, with no backstory to explain who he is. In the Codexverse, he was a mortal Pegasus who, as a foal, was weaponized physically, magically, and psychologically by his Abusive Parents. A chance encounter with Blue Suede Heartstrings made him realize his parents' warmongering ways are wrong, but was actively prevented from turning good until he reached his Rage Breaking Point during a genocidal war campaign, where he snapped and brutally massacred the entire army he was part of. A sojourning Yarost finds him in the throes of his breakdown, kicking off a series of events that not only leads to his native kingdom's destruction, but also his Ascension to godhood once he overcomes the worst parts of his foalhood psychological conditioning.
  • Adaptational Badass: Lewis Legend is a superpowered elite zombie who can wield a guitar-gun and drive an elephant-themed Mini-Mecha, and is a Marathon Boss who takes seven finishers to kill him. Here, he's a bonafide god who embodies the harmful, enduring aspects of fury, especially when it's applied to things like music and technology. Lewis' Elephant-themed Mini-Mecha is depicted here as a powerful 'One-Winged Angel' form where he transforms into a gigantic, demonic, twisted, Elephant-like beast with pieces of technology forcibly grafted onto his body. He's also a skilled guitarist who was tutored by Blue Suede Heartstrings himself, and was a powerful Super-Soldier in his youth, which granted him enhanced physical capabilities, greater magi reserves, and deadly combat skills.
  • Adaptational Heroism: In Lollipop Chainsaw, Lewis Legend helped Swan spread the Zombie Apocalypse he started across San Romero for no other reason than For the Evulz. Here, he's a divine punisher of the wicked who follows 'Constructive Evil' and abhors 'Destructive Evil'. Notably, he was horrified when he learns Swan Song intended to summon a Walpurgisnacht — the very disaster that Lewis Legend helped bring about in Lollipop Chainsaw — and actively helped bring it down. Also, in regards to what happened, he's depicted here as an Unwitting Pawn who was tricked into letting his avatar be sacrificed as part of Swan Song's ritual, whereas Lewis Legend willingly lets himself be sacrificed by Swan to summon Killabilly.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: Lewis Legend is straight in canon and only flirts with Juliet while spouting misogynistic insults at her. Here, he's gay with a preference for strong males who proved themselves in battle.
  • Adaptational Skill: In addition to Lewis Legend's canon skills, he's a technology buff and a skilled mechanic, which is helped by him being a god of Technology. His music skills are also expanded upon, with him being tutored by Blue Suede Heartstrings himself.
  • Adaptation Name Change: The name of his motorcycle is changed from "Ellyphant" to Byleth. In-universe, the reason behind this is because his family reacted negatively when he decided to name his motorcycle "Ellyphant", making him change the name to a better one.
  • Adaptation Species Change: Lewis Legend of Lollipop Chainsaw is a Revenant Zombie. Here, he's a mortal Pegasus who later Ascended and became an Alicorn.
  • Age Lift: In canon, all of the Dark Purveyors, him included, are 18 years old. Here, he's a "Tier III"-ranked god who's around ten thousand years old at maximum, and is noted in his entry to be the oldest of the Dark Purveyors.
  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Being a Death Seeker at the time, he outright begged Luminiferous to kill him when provoking him didn't work. Luminiferous refused, and instead made him his student so he can help him recover from his trauma.
  • All Your Powers Combined: Being an Alicorn gives him the combined magics of all mortal Pony tribes.
  • Aloof Big Brother: Subverted. Though far from the oldest sibling in his family, he's the oldest of the Dark Purveyors and is stoic, aloof, and tough like his adoptive father, Yarost. However, he's more emotional and affectionate than he appears, and while he does have a history of Emotion Suppression (which was enforced on him by his birth parents as a foal), he's working on overcoming that.
  • Animal Motifs: Much like Lewis Legend, he's associated with Elephants, except instead of a motorcycle that transforms into an Elephant-themed Mini-Mecha, he can turn into an enormous, demonic, and twisted Elephant-like beast whose body is a horrific mixture of flesh and machine, with parts looking like they've been forcibly grafted onto him. His motorcycle, Byleth, was originally going to be named "Ellyphant", but he changed the name after seeing his family disliked it. It's heavily ironic considering that Elephants usually symbolize the removal of evil and/or obstacles.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Alicorn god who embodies Fury, Strength, Music, and Technology.
  • Auto-Kitchen: Being based on the Second Age at its most technologically advanced, one innovation his hell-fief has is automated restaurants with conveyor belts.
  • Badass Biker: He drives a divine, custom-made Steamcycle named Byleth, which has flaming wheels. When he rides it, it's usually to drag damned shades to their eternal punishment and provide himself an alternative method of travel. He's also a God of Evil who, in his youth, was a powerful Super-Soldier created by his birth parents.
  • Baddie Flattery: He was genuinely impressed with Sky Star's defiance and later stated she performed "beyond expectations" during her fight with his divine avatar.
Prince Dühroham Erobreseg: Ah, cocky little whore. I like that.
Sky Star: Bring it on, douchebag! I’m gonna EFF! YOU! UP!
Prince Dühroham Erobreseg: I love your passion, babe. Looks like we could make beautiful DEATH together!
  • Be All My Sins Remembered: The main reason why he didn't want to be worshiped by mortals. Despite choosing to be an infernal punisher like Yarost, he felt guilty and ashamed of his past as a soldier, and couldn't understand why people would want to worship someone who was trained to kill since foalhood. He later got over this after Yarost set him straight on the matter.
  • Blood Knight: Much like his adoptive father, Yarost, he revels in battle and stubbornly keeps on fighting until his opponents are defeated/dead, while goading his opponents to keep fighting him out of wounded pride until they exhaust themselves.
  • Breaking the Cycle of Bad Parenting: His birth parents were horribly abusive to him and treated him more like a weapon than a person, which left him a Shell-Shocked Veteran with incredible amounts of PTSD. By present day, he still has issues, but he's significantly more adjusted than before thanks to Yarost adopting him and receiving psychiatric help. His entry notes that all of his children were adopted due to him being gay, but he's nonetheless a much better parent to them than his birth parents were to him. One of his children is Noo-Noo, a robotic vacuum cleaner he adopted as his son after Noo-Noo gained sapience.
  • Broken Pedestal: He started losing admiration for Blue Suede Heartstrings when he noticed his mentor becoming increasingly uncomfortable around him to the point of ceasing visits to the Bogolenya Deer Pantheon altogether. When he confronted Blue Suede over it and called him a Hypocrite during the ensuing argument, Blue Suede punched him straight into a wall and then ran away for seemingly no reason. Despite repeated attempts to find his mentor, he wouldn't meet him again until after Blue Suede suffered a massive breakdown because the latter kept. Learning that Blue Suede was suffering from three Ages worth of trauma and flaws yet told no one about it left him enraged and heartbroken, and initially planned to chew him out for his actions.
  • Broken Tears: He starts crying these immediately after taking a few hits from Yarost and suffering a psychological breakdown over the atrocities he committed, calling himself a "monster", among other things. He later breaks down crying in Luminiferous' forelegs when hearing the latter's experiences with being created as a Tyke-Bomb for Morning Star hit a little too close to home regarding his own parents.
  • Brown Note: As a god of Music, he can use Magic Music to inflict physical and mental pain on his listeners.
  • Calling the Old Man Out: After becoming an Alicorn and being given his own hell-fief, he would call out the damned shades of his birth parents for abusing him as a foal, before subjecting them to experiments similar to the ones they performed on him.
Prince Dühroham Erobreseg: Strength over weakness. Victory at all costs. Every day, you fools drilled those lessons into my head, hoping I would become your perfect warrior. Your perfect weapon. And yet, I became something far greater than you could ever imagine by finding strength in weakness, and victory... in losing.

Tell me, nameless bastards. The cruelty, the bloodshed, and the countless lives you threw away like trash... Did they make you happy? Were they all worth it in the end?
  • Casting a Shadow: Due to his Music domain being geared towards dark magic, he can use shadow magic, which he can channel through music. When combined with his fire magic, he can control flames of darkness that can't be extinguished by normal means.
  • Child Soldier: It's implied that, due to being a Tyke-Bomb for his birth parents, he was made to fight wars since foalhood. It's deconstructed as psychological conditioning he endured, in addition to his parents' abuse and experiments, and the horrors of war eventually led to him snapping and breaking down by the time Yarost finds him. It also contributed to his trauma as an adult, which he took a long time to recover from.
  • Combat Tentacles: His One-Winged Angel form has a trunk strong enough to be used as a whip.
  • Cool Big Bro: Gender-inverted. While he gets along with all the Dark Purveyors, he has the closest relationship with Prince Lázadó, the youngest of the group and his younger adoptive brother.
  • Cool Bike: He's the owner of Byleth, a divine, custom-made Steamcycle with flaming wheels. When he rides it, it's usually both to drag damned shades to their eternal punishment and to provide himself an alternative method of travel in place of flying. It's regarded with fear among the Erobreseg Deer, and it is said that those who catch him riding Byleth are automatically marked for damnation. He originally wanted to name his Steamcycle "Ellyphant", but used a cooler name instead after his family showed their dislike of it.
  • Cruel Elephant: His One-Winged Angel form is an enormous, demonic, and twisted Elephant-like beast whose body is a horrific mixture of flesh and machine, with parts looking like they've been forcibly grafted onto him. He is also a furious, sadistic God of Evil who revels in battle and derives pleasure from seeing people's anger, especially when it's directed at him.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: While in the throes of his Unstoppable Rage, he mistook a sojourning Yarost for a surviving soldier from his native kingdom and attacked him. The 'fight' lasted for less than a minute, and he proceeded to break down laughing and crying after taking only a few hits, much to Yarost's surprise.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: He grew up in a Erobreseg Pony kingdom that grew obsessed with war and conquest in response to being in an unforgiving environment, and he was turned into a Super-Soldier by his parents, who only saw him as a weapon. A chance fight with Blue Suede Heartstrings awoke his suppressed empathy and ignited a passion for music, but his parents doubled down on their abuse of him because they believed Virtue Is Weakness. His Rage Breaking Point came when, during a military campaign, he realized he was essentially sent to commit genocide against another Erobreseg kingdom for holding peaceful ideologies, and went on a bloody rampage after his commander brutally attempted to make him obey. A sojourning Yarost found him, and they engaged in a Curb-Stomp Battle over a misunderstanding, after which he proceeded to break down laughing and crying over what he became. His guilt and trauma was so great that, despite being adopted by Yarost, he couldn't handle living in his father's hell-fief and ran away with the intention to kill himself. He would have succeeded had Luminiferous not found him in time.
  • Dark Is Evil: Played with. He's an Alicorn with a jet-black mane and tail, wears a black leather jacket, and has a One-Winged Angel form where he appears as a demonic elephant-like beast with jet-black skin. He's also a God of Evil who is depraved like his adoptive family, though he devotes his evil to constructive purposes and is shown to have nobler personality aspects outside of it. He's also a member of the Dark Purveyors and played a role in spreading Swan Song's Zombie Apocalypse, though he really disagreed with Swan Song's plans to summon a Walpurgisnacht.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Played with. He's an Alicorn with a jet-black mane and tail, wears a black leather jacket, and has a One-Winged Angel form where he appears as a demonic elephant-like beast with jet-black skin. While he's a God of Evil who devotes his evil to constructive purposes and has nobler personality aspects outside of it, he is still depraved like the rest of his adoptive family. He's also a member of the Dark Purveyors and helped Swan Song spread a Zombie Apocalypse, though he also undermined Swan Song by pushing many heroes to fight back and personally helped defeat the Walpurgisnacht Swan Song summoned after learning of the latter's treachery.
  • Death Seeker: His guilt and trauma were so great that, after Yarost adopted him, he ran away from home with the intent to commit suicide, seeing himself as a 'stain' on the world. When Luminiferous found him and intervened, he first tried provoking Luminiferous, then outright begged him to do the deed when that didn't work. Luminiferous refused and instead took him in as his student to help him recover from his trauma.
  • Defusing the Tyke-Bomb: Much of his life post-adoption focused on overcoming his birth parents' psychological conditioning, such as his enforced Lack of Empathy. Thanks to his adoptive family, his mentors, and divine therapists, he succeeded for the most part, since he's able to accept that feeling positive emotions is okay and reconciled the act of killing with the desire to protect.
  • Deity of Human Origin: Unlike many of his siblings and adoptive cousins, who were born demi-deities before Ascending to true godhood, he was a mortal Pegasus who Ascended to demi-godhood by choosing to become an infernal punisher like Yarost, then Ascended to true godhood under Luminiferous' tutelage.
  • Delinquent Hair: He styles his mane into a Greaser's pompadour in emulation of his mentor, Blue Suede Heartstrings. While he isn't a delinquent, he's a God of Evil who embodies the toxic, unfettered aspects of fury and strength, and targets those who misuse things like music and technology for evil.
  • Depraved Homosexual: He's gay, and though he's attracted to males in general, he has a thing for strong males who proved themselves in combat. He's also a depraved God of Evil who embodies the harmful, enduring, and toxic aspects of Fury and Strength, and is a furious and sadistic Blood Knight who goads his opponents into fighting him.
  • Domestic Abuse: Invoked. Damned shades who abused their own families in life without repenting are subjected to the same thing in death, being constantly abused by their spouses, children, and/or relatives with no way out of it.
  • Dragged Off to Hell: He drags damned shades of wicked, unrepentant sinners down to his hell-fief while riding Byleth.
  • Driven to Suicide: Narrowly averted. He ran away from Yarost's hell-fief with the intent to commit suicide, seeing himself as a 'stain' upon the world. Fortunately, Luminiferous intervened, and despite his initial anger over it, him living turned out to be the better option overall.
  • Emotion Bomb: As a god of Fury, he can produce an empathic aura that makes people feel angrier in his presence. He can also use music to do this in combination with his Fury domain.
  • Emotion Eater: As a god of Fury, he can feed off of anger and gain strength from it, with him often being at his most powerful in places full of conflict.
  • Emotion Suppression: Deconstructed. In their attempts to weaponize him, his birth parents tried suppressing his natural empathy by teaching him that Virtue Is Weakness, and horribly abused him as punishment if he failed to adhere to their teachings. The lengths his parents took to stamp out his good side became a major factor in his eventual Rage Breaking Point, and despite being freed from their influence, he felt genuinely baffled whenever his adoptive family showed kindness and sympathy to him. Thus, it took him a long time to accept that feeling positive emotions is okay. It's later discussed during an interview with Codex Equus researchers, where he considers himself lucky that his birth parents did not think to surgically remove his emotions entirely while experimenting on him.
  • The Empath: As a god of Fury, he has empathic powers that allow him to sense and encourage people's fury. He can also produce an empathic aura that makes people feel angrier in his presence.
  • Enemy Summoner: As a god of Music, he can use music to summon infernal forces from his family's hell-fiefs, providing quick aid for his allies.
  • Even Evil Has Standards:
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Justified. Because his birth parents tried stamping out his natural empathy, he felt genuinely baffled whenever people showed him kindness and sympathy. It took him a long time to accept that feeling positive emotions is okay because he was conditioned since foalhood not to feel anything resembling 'weakness'.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Blue Suede Heartstrings. While they're both Music gods, Dühroham uses dark music spells like hypnotism, curses, and summoning infernal forces. And unlike Blue Suede, who grew up poor yet was raised by Good Parents, Dühroham was raised by Abusive Parents who were also warmongering nobles. Dühroham also represents what happens when musicians like Blue Suede gave in to their anger. It's invoked; after choosing to be an infernal punisher like Yarost, Dühroham cultivated the image of him being Blue Suede's 'evil counterpart', inspired by his interactions with his mentor. Unfortunately, it contributed to their falling-out when Blue Suede began avoiding Dühroham due to the latter reminding him of all the times he either killed someone or lost control of his anger. However, once he and Blue Suede reconciled, Dühroham would continue serving as this for his mentor.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Like Lewis Legend, he has a deep, growling, and raspy voice, and is a God of Evil (though a constructive one). Some believe it was a consequence of living with Abusive Parents and/or his foalhood battles, while other say it was invoked by him. He has refused to comment on the matter.
  • Evil Versus Evil: He opposes 'Destructive Evil' in general, which includes factions like the Children of Ispita. In fact, discovering he's now related to Ispita's family by adoption infuriated him.
  • Expy: He's based on Lewis Legend from Lollipop Chainsaw. They're both Greaser Delinquents and Badass Bikers who ride a flaming motorcycle, and they're both music-themed villains with a guitar-gun and a furious, sadistic personality. However, unlike Lewis, who helped spread a Zombie Apocalypse for no other reason than he could, Dühroham is essentially a Noble Demon who actively helped stop a similar disaster upon learning what his actions unwittingly led to.
  • Feather Flechettes: Thanks to the liquid metal formula in his body, he can fire shards of hardened metal with his wings ala Archangel.
  • Fictional Fan, Real Celebrity: He's based on Lewis Legend, and he became a fan of Blue Suede Heartstrings in his mortal youth because his music made him realize there's more to life outside of war and killing. When Blue Suede himself later offered to become his mentor, he cried Tears of Joy (though he vehemently denied it). However, Blue Suede's traumas and issues at the time led to a falling-out between them, with him losing faith in his mentor and initially planning to call Blue Suede out for his failings, only to reconsider once he sees how broken his mentor is and realizes he would've made things worse. They apologize to each other and reconcile, restoring his faith and admiration for Blue Suede.
  • Flying Car: Being based on the Second Age at its most technologically advanced, one innovation his hell-fief has is flying vehicles.
  • Food Pills: Since foalhood, he was fed "military-grade slop" by his Abusive Parents, who never gave him real food because they only saw him as a weapon. Following his native kingdom's destruction/damnation, the first thing he ate was egg salad sandwiches. He found them to be so delicious that they quickly became his Trademark Favorite Food.
  • Forgiveness: He forgives Blue Suede for his flaws and mistakes after learning why he acted the way he did, before apologizing for any harm he inflicted on him. This causes Blue Suede to break down crying.
Prince Dühroham Erobreseg: ...I forgive you, Blue. And... I'm sorry, too.
  • Freudian Excuse: Deconstructed. Many of his present behaviors originated from his utterly horrific upbringing as his parents' Tyke-Bomb, but they're also self-destructive and potentially harmful to others, necessitating the need for others to help him recover from his trauma.
    • His Lack of Empathy came from his parents trying their damnedest to stamp out all good within him, seeing things like empathy and compassion as "weaknesses" that sapientkind is better without. He felt genuinely baffled whenever people are kind and/or sympathetic to him because of this, and it took him a long time to accept that it's okay to feel positive emotions in general. However, his guilt towards the atrocities he committed in his youth is a sign that his empathy is not entirely gone, and many people, from his mentors to his adoptive family, took great care in fostering his empathetic side more.
    • His discomfort with being worshiped, especially in his early days as a demigod, stems from the guilt and shame he felt as a former soldier. Despite choosing to follow in Yarost's hoofsteps, he couldn't understand why people would want to worship him, a person who was trained to kill and butcher innocent people since foalhood. It took Yarost setting him straight on the matter for him to become more tolerant and accepting towards being worshiped.
    • According to Yarost, he was much angrier and more violent in his mortal youth, and he had a lot of triggers that made him prone to lashing out at his own family at times. He would also freeze up and stand rigidly in place like a soldier awaiting orders whenever someone yelled at him. All this stems from the huge PTSD he gained from his time as his kingdom's Super-Soldier, and it made him unable to deal with living in Yarost's hel-fief at first. Fortunately, he is able to receive psychiatric help from various therapists and support from both his mentors and family, allowing him to overcome the worst of his traumas.
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: He has no tolerance for those who try making excuses to justify their horrible actions, since regardless of what happened, their actions are still their own. His "The Reason You Suck" Speech to a dead Swan Song is essentially him deconstructing the latter's motives, pointing out how Swan Song is a whiny teenager who chose to make everyone suffer by essentially throwing one big tantrum over his problems, instead of rising above it and becoming a better person. However, he admits that he would've ended up like Swan Song if he hadn't been found by people who genuinely cared for him.
  • God in Human Form: When not punishing damned shades with music, he frequently attends music festivals while disguised as a mortal Pegasus.
  • God of Evil: He specifically embodies the toxic, harmful aspects of fury and strength, and how people would misuse things like music and technology for malicious ends or to express/vent their anger. However, it's subverted as he follows constructive evil and his role is to punish those who expressed their anger in self-destructive ways, misused things like technology and music for wicked ends, or both.
  • Good Needs Evil: Part of his development as a character involves recognizing there are good and bad sides to every concept, and that 'good' concepts need to be balanced out by 'bad' concepts.
    • Due to being raised as a Super-Soldier and made to fight wars for his kingdom since foalhood, he started seeing war as an evil concept that brought nothing but death and suffering, and desired world peace as a result. This largely stems from the guilt he felt regarding the atrocities he committed, and is implied to be a reason why he made his home a peaceful, rustic estate in his hell-fief. However, during his travels, he is introduced to another side of war as a last-resort solution that one will take to defend one's people/home if there's no other option. He has since acknowledged that there could not be peace without war, even though he personally may not like it.
    • Likewise, he initially saw killing as a bad thing. However, he would learn during his travels that killing is sometimes a necessary solution in certain situations, such as protecting loved ones or dealing with threats that cannot be reasoned with.
    • He initially had a hard time reconciling life with death in general, which stems from guilt for all the innocent lives he took in the name of conquest. After Moon Ray Vaughoof and Blue Suede Heartstrings took him to see Bossa Nova Heartstrings, Blue Suede's older twin brother, he learns that both death and life are part of the natural cycle, and that life is a journey. However, protecting souls from wicked entities is very important as without life, new souls wouldn't be born and Equus would be just a barren rock. Therefore, those who kill people for malicious reasons must be punished.
    • He started taking this approach to music and technology as well. Having heard and seen what music and technology can do when misused by others, he chose to play himself up as an Evil Counterpart to various musicians so he can test their morals by tempting them into sin. He would also tempt people into misusing technology for wicked ends so he would see whether they would resist him or not.
  • Greaser Delinquents: He usually dresses up like a Greaser in emulation of his mentor, Blue Suede Heartstrings, sporting a pompadour and wearing a black leather jacket. According to his entry, he became one as part of his plan to invoke the image of him being an Evil Counterpart to various musicians like Blue Suede, and also represent the ultimate fate of musicians who became unrepentantly wicked.
  • Happily Adopted:
    • In his mortal youth, he was adopted by Yarost, who is incredibly sympathetic towards his troubles and wanted to be the good parental-figure that his birth parents weren't. Unfortunately, his extreme PTSD at the time made him unable and unwilling to connect with Yarost because his hell-fief reminded him of all the atrocities he participated in as a Child Soldier onward, which factored into his decision to run away. It's after meeting people like Luminferous, Moon Ray Vaughoof, and Blue Suede Heartstrings that he finally accepts Yarost as his father, having recovered from most of his traumas while globe-trotting with his mentors.
    • All of his children were adopted, due to him being gay and accepting only male partners. Yet despite it, he's a loving father to all of them. One of his sons is Noo-Noo, a robotic vacuum cleaner who managed to gain sapience and has the mind of a young, mischievous foal.
  • Has a Type: He's attracted to males in general, but he especially has a thing for strong males who have proven themselves in combat — in his words, "I love a guy who can kick my flank." While this might be due to his militarized upbringing, he has explicitly stated his sexual preferences are not related to his past at all — just something he naturally feels.
  • Hate Plague: As a god of Fury, he can essentially invoke this by using his empathic powers to make people angrier in his presence.
  • Hates Their Parent: Due to how cruel and abusive they were to him as a foal, he understandably hates his birth parents and has completely disowned them as family. Whenever he brings them up, he only refers to them as his "leaders".
  • Heel Realization: A chance fight with Blue Suede Hearstrings caused him to realize there's more to life than just fighting in wars and killing people for the sake of survival, and he decided he wanted to be a musician instead. Unfortunately, his Abusive Parents doubled down on their abuse of him as he was developing "weaknesses" as a result of his growing love for music, which contributed to his eventual Rage Breaking Point and psychological breakdown by the time Yarost finds him.
  • Hell-Bent for Leather: He wears a black leather jacket in emulation of his mentor, Blue Suede Heartstrings. Though he does wear divine black barding with fiery orange designs for certain occasions.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Deconstructed. He's a huge fan of Blue Suede Heartstrings and dresses like a Greaser in emulation of him. According to him, Blue Suede's music changed his life because it made him realize there's more to life than war and conquest. And when Blue Suede became his mentor, he cried Tears of Joy (though he vehemently denied it). Then he sees Blue Suede's flawed sides firsthand, leading to the discovery that Blue Suede had been hiding his traumas and flaws for three Ages. He is so heartbroken and angry that he initially planned to chew Blue Suede out for it after the latter's near-Fall, but Yarost talked him out of it. It's later reconstructed — once he learns from Blue Suede why he acted the way he did, he realizes he and his mentor aren't so different after all, after which they reconcile and share a mutual apology, regaining his respect for Blue Suede in the process.
  • Hidden Depths: Despite being a god of Fury and the militarized aspects of Strength, he admits he desired world peace, as he saw war as an evil concept that brought nothing but death, pain, and suffering. This is implied to be the reason why his hell-fief's home appears as a peaceful, rustic estate. However, his global travels, as well as learning from the Trimortidae and Yarost, made him acknowledge that it's impossible to live without conflict or death, even if he personally may not like it.
  • Hypocrisy Nod: While he hates those like Swan Song who use excuses to justify their horrible actions, he admits he would've ended up in a similar situation had he not been found during his lowest moments by people who genuinely cared for him.
  • I Am a Monster: During his psychological breakdown, he called himself a "monster" (among other things), something that surprised a sojourning Yarost during their encounter. The similarity of their words got him compared to Joyous Freedom, who experienced a similar breakdown after realizing what she did during her europhic Ascension to demonhood.
Glorious Legend: I'm a monster! A BEAST! A HARBINGER OF DEATH!
  • Immune to Mind Control: Being a god of Strength grants him an indomitable will that allows him to shrug off most brainwashing and mind-control spells, and overpower the telepathic influence of psykers.
  • Incompatible Orientation: He's gay in a family where things like Brother–Sister Incest, Parental Incest, and Kissing Cousins are common. While he does love his sisters and female cousins, he often has to reject their advances (which he admits makes him feel bad) because he's only attracted to his brothers and male cousins.
  • Ironic Hell: He rules over a hell-fief where damned shades are punished according to the crimes they committed in relation to his domains of Fury, Strength, Music, and Technology. Fittingly, his hell-fief resembles a technologically advanced metropolis inspired by elements of the Second Age at its height.
    • Those who gave in to their inner fury are endlessly attacked, brutalized, and/or killed by serial killers, vicious gangs, disgruntled 'employees', etc. Berserkers are forced to live in constant terror and suffering as fleeing refugees, or thrown into battlefields where they are hopelessly slaughtered. Even those who were violently abusive to their families are trapped in abusive marriages where they are the ones being victimized, with their spouses and children turning the tables on their abusers.
    • Those who developed twisted standards of strength end up victimized by the same beliefs they preached in life, with those who prioritized both military and cultural superiority above all else being punished by being conquered, destroyed, and/or subjugated by stronger enemy forces in an endless cycle. Those who weaponized innocent people, whether by increasing their magical/physical capabilities or outright removing their free will and ability to feel sapient empathy, are themselves subjected to the same horrible experiments. However, the punishment depends on the type of strength, as various damned shades like unrepentant bullies, serial killers, racial bigots, tyrants, magic users, etc. are being punished for promoting their own twisted brand of strength.
    • Those who oppressed music and/or misused it for selfish ends, such as propaganda, end up having their auditory senses maximized and forced to endure listening to unending, horrific cacophonies in twisted concerts, all while strapped to audience stands and chairs. Alternatively, damned shades are turned into living instruments that are played in parties by Dühroham's infernal subordinates and family. Yet another punishment involves being rendered completely deaf and crippled so they can't play anything anymore, which is considered to be one of the worst things to happen for musicians. Those who also mistreated their bandmates, fellow musicians, and/or managers in life are subjected to the same thing themselves, and the same could apply to abusive managers.
    • Those who misused technology, limited technology to the privileged few, and/or oppressed technology for various reasons like racism or traditionalism, are punished by being crushed or ground into paste by mechanical parts, having both machines and weapons come to life to tear apart their former wielders, being used as test subjects to test new pieces of technology, and being painfully converted into cyborg servants who are forced to do grueling, agonizing tasks until they wither away to nothing. Recently, Dühroham has included damned shades of Clovenists who endangered lives with their unfettered technological progress, creators of Judicial Replacements, and, following events like the Exosus Conflict, anti-Synthetic Automaton bigots who advocated the destruction of sapient machinery just for developing sapience, regardless of what they actually did to deserve it.
  • I Shall Taunt You: He preys on his victims' insecurities by bragging about his own strength while taunting others' lack thereof. In battle, he goads his opponents to keep fighting him out of wounded pride until they exhaust themselves.
  • Lack of Empathy: Justified. He was born in a warmongering kingdom that believed in conquest and victory at all costs, and his parents hammered into him since foalhood that Virtue Is Weakness. When a fight with Blue Suede Heartstrings brings out his repressed empathy and causes him to realize that his actions were wrong, his parents doubled down on their abuse, believing he became 'soft'. Even after being freed and adopted by Yarost, he couldn't understand why people are acting so kind to him due to his abusive upbringing. Ironically, he felt extremely guilty for the deaths and destruction he caused as his kingdom's Super-Soldier, so it's a sign that his empathy is not completely gone. It took him a long time to accept that feeling positive emotions is okay, and he considers himself lucky that his parents didn't think to remove his emotions completely in their experiments.
Prince Dühroham Erobreseg: ...I always wondered why my... leaders... never got rid of my emotions. If they really wanted to weaponize me, if they knew before-hoof what I would become later on, they should have nipped my 'problem' in the bud much earlier. But they didn't, only using fear and abuse to keep me in line. Perhaps I was one of the luckier ones.
  • Laughing Mad: He starts laughing immediately after taking a few hits from Yarost and suffering a psychological breakdown over the atrocities he committed, calling himself a "monster", among other things.
  • Magic Music: As a god of Music, he has standard abilities like musical healing and empowerment, providing buffs, and sound magic. However, his domain works in a different way — unlike many Music deities, he uses dark music spells to do things like hypnotize people, inflict various curses, inflict physical and mental pain on his listeners, and destroy his surroundings. He can also use shadow magic thanks to his domain working differently, use music to summon either infernal forces from his family's hell-fiefs or dead spirits, and combine it with other powers/domains for devastating effect.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Furious Musician", due to being a divine musician and a God of Evil who specifically embodies the harmful, enduring aspects of Fury.
  • Make Some Noise: As a god of Music, he can use sound magic, except his version is more destructive. When combined with his fire or shadow magics, be can do things like unleash sonic screams that inflict serious burns, or concussive shockwaves that temporarily engulf areas in darkness.
  • Manly Gay: Despite his flirtatious tendencies towards males and females alike, he's actually gay. He's attracted to males, including his own brothers and male cousins, but he especially has a thing for strong males who can, in his words, "kick [his] flank". He's also a masculine Warrior Prince, a Badass Biker, and a technology buff who loves studying and/or tinkering with machines, though a few of his hobbies are not "manly" in a conventional sense, like reading comic books or playing video games.
  • Master of Illusion: He can use Magic Music to create reality-warping illusions.
  • Meaningful Name:
    • According to him, his birth name, Glorious Legend, was given to him by his Abusive Parents because all they saw in him was the potential to become a great warrior, nothing else. He equates it to being treated like a glorified killing machine who went after things that threatened his native kingdom's survival.
Prince Dühroham Erobreseg: My... leaders... named me 'Glorious Legend' because all they saw was my potential to be a warrior. I was to bring victories for my home and be its hero. And so they molded me, twisted me, and equipped me with all the tools I was to use in their... ahem, 'glorious' conquests. In short, I was nothing but a glorified killing machine that wiped out anything my home saw as a threat to its survival.
    • His current name, Dühroham, translates to "burst of anger" in Hungarian. This not only evokes his relationship with Yarost as the latter's adoptive son, but also refers to his role as a divine punisher who went after those who let their anger influence them into doing horrible things.
  • Meaningful Rename: His birth name is Glorious Legend. Once he Ascends to true godhood, he would be renamed Dühroham Erobreseg, after the Deer realms his adoptive family/pantheon looked after. Dühroham also translates to "burst of anger" in Hungarian, which is appropriate considering he's a god of Fury who punishes those who gave in to their inner fury without repenting.
  • Mirror Character: As Yarost points out, both he and Blue Suede Heartstrings have hurt, betrayed, and killed their fair share of people, which is rooted in extreme trauma that they both suffered at some point in their lives. Eventually, with no one to turn to for help, they snap in the worst ways possible. This is what influences him to be more understanding of Blue Suede's actions and mindset at the time, leading to him forgiving and reconciling with his mentor.
  • Modest Royalty: Downplayed. He's a Prince and he usually wears a leather jacket in emulation of his mentor, Blue Suede, though he does wear divine black barding with fiery orange designs for certain occasions.
  • My God, What Have I Done?:
    • Deconstructed and played for drama in his mortal youth. He has long since realized that his parents and kingdom's warmongering ways were wrong ever since he got into a fight with Blue Suede Heartstrings. But his parents' abuse and contempt for weakness, combined with being helpless to do anything about it, caused his anger to boil. One day, after realizing he was ordered to conquer a peaceful kingdom, he snapped and murdered the army he was part of. When Yarost found him, he engaged him in a pitifully one-sided fight before breaking down laughing and crying, overcome with guilt and utterly shellshocked by his horrific experiences.
    • Though more subdued compared to the above example, he also has a moment of this after learning of Blue Suede Heartstrings' troubled history, making him realize that he partially contributed to his mentor's increasing trauma by calling him a hypocrite. He proceeds to forgive Blue Suede for his previous actions and apologize for any harm he caused him, causing Blue Suede to break down crying.
  • Named by the Adaptation: His guitar-gun, unnamed in Lollipop Chainsaw, is called Highway to Hell here.
  • One-Winged Angel: Like Yarost and his oldest adoptive siblings, he has the ability to turn into a more powerful form. In his case, he transforms into an enormous, demonic, twisted, Elephant-like beast with jet-black skin, red eyes, and a flaming Pony-like mane and tail. His body is a horrific mixture of flesh and machine, outfitted with weapons like a Pneumabolt Repeater, an Arcane Bomb Launcher, and saw blades, with parts looking like they've been forcibly grafted onto him. His physical capabilities are enhanced tenfold, and he can do multiple things with his trunk, like using it as a crushing whip, blow out both normal and darkness-based fire, and produce sonic roars/trumpets that cause destruction and physical pain. He can also shoot metal projectiles out of his trunk and manifest liquid metal as a form of armor.
  • Parental Abandonment: His birth parents were killed by the Four Terrors during a 'Calling the Terrors' sanction that destroyed his native kingdom. He doesn't begrudge Yarost for it and doesn't really care that his birth parents died, since they were horrifically abusive to him in life.
  • Parental Substitute: His entry notes that all of his children were adopted, due to him being gay. Despite this, he is a loving father figure, which is a lot more than what his birth parents had done for him as a foal.
    • He became the adoptive father of Noo-Noo, a sapient robotic vacuum cleaner. Originally, Dühroham built Noo-Noo to help him tidy up his mansion, but Noo-Noo later developed self-awareness and the mind of a mischievous foal. Not wanting to put him to work in torturing damned souls, or knowing what to do with him in general, Dühroham decided to adopt Noo-Noo as his son instead and is a loving father-figure for him.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: As an infernal punisher, his duty is to torment those who committed crimes related to his portfolio, such as becoming furious berserkers who killed indiscriminately, turning innocent people into weapons to fight wars, and misusing things like music and technology for evil. In particular, he got his revenge on his birth parents for treating him like a weapon since foalhood by performing cruel experiments on them for eternity.
  • Playing with Fire: As a god of Fury, he can use Fire magic in relation to his domain like Yarost can. He is capable of generating fire for various applications like beams, fire-breathing, constructs, and barriers, as well as turning himself into a Fire elemental. He also can combine his Fire magic with Shadow magic to create shadowy flames that can't be extinguished by normal means.
  • Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: His folder/entry quote is the very same quote that Lewis Legend would say to Juliet Starling right before his boss battle occurs.
Prince Dühroham Erobreseg: Rock n' Roll is here to stay; YOU'RE NOT!
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner: During 'Final Ragnarock', he would say this line before firing Highway to Hell upon hordes of demons, Fallen warriors, sorcerers, monsters, and the like:
Prince Dühroham Erobreseg: I have a feeling when I start playing, you’re just gonna DIIIIIIIIIIIE!!!
  • Punched Across the Room: He gets punched straight through a wall by Blue Suede Heartstrings after calling him a hypocrite during a heated argument, with Blue Suede avoiding him afterward out of guilt over hurting one of his students and fear of receiving an even worse retaliation. Once he learns why Blue Suede punched him, he becomes more understanding and forgives him for it, leading to their reconciliation.
  • Rage Against the Mentor: Played for drama. He initially planned to chew out Blue Suede Heartstrings, his mentor, for his more unsavory actions. However, he is talked out of it by Yarost, who points out that reacting with anger, especially after Blue Suede just went through an extremely traumatic near-Fall, will only make things worse. Once he approaches Blue Suede with a calmer mind and learns why his mentor acted in certain ways, he realizes that they're actually very similar than he initially thought and forgives Blue Suede instead, leading to their reconciliation. He even admits that if he actually went through with his intentions, he would have made Blue Suede's mental state much worse than it already was.
  • Razor Wings: Thanks to the liquid metal formula in his body, he can form metal wing blades.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: After the 'Swan Song Crisis' ends, he gives a brutal one to Swan Song's spirit, calling him a "whiny teenager" who is essentially throwing a huge tantrum over being passed over by the pretty Doe he never asked out.
Prince Dühroham Erobreseg: (roaring) LOOK AT ME, SWAN SONG! I HAD SUFFERED JUST LIKE YOU DID, AND MORE! MANY OF MY FAMILY, THOUGH BLOOD WE MAY NOT BE, HAD SUFFERED ALSO! AND YET WE ALL FOUND A PURPOSE AND A REASON TO LIVE IN SPITE OF IT! YOU, ON THE OTHER HOOF, ARE JUST A WHINY TEENAGER WHO'S FULL OF SHIT, RUINING EVERYTHING FOR EVERY-CREATURE ELSE, ALL BECAUSE YOU WERE PASSED OVER BY A BLUSHING DOE THAT YOU DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO TALK TO!
  • Rebuilt Pedestal: After Yarost talks him out of his plan to call out Blue Suede, he approaches Blue Suede with a calmer mind and has a talk with him instead. During the conversation, he learns the truth: Blue Suede avoided him partially because he was constantly reminded of all the times he killed people or gave in to his rage, and partially because he felt extremely guilty for hurting his own student in anger and was afraid of being subjected to more abuse in retaliation. This makes him realize that he and Blue Suede are not so different from each other, and they reconcile after he forgives Blue Suede and they share a mutual apology.
  • Related in the Adaptation: All of the Dark Purveyors, him included, are completely unrelated in Lollipop Chainsaw. Here, they're a band consisting of adoptive/biological siblings and cousins who shared a collective desire to play music.
  • Required Secondary Powers: His Music domain gives him divinely enhanced hearing and the accompanying resistance to protect him from deafness.
  • Robot Maid: Being based on the Second Age at its most technologically advanced, one innovation his hell-fief has is robotic servants. Many of them are damned shades who were painfully converted into Cyborg servants against their will, then made to perform grueling, agonizing tasks until they wither away to nothing.
  • Rotten Rock & Roll: His music genre of choice is classic rock, which stems from how listening to Blue Suede Heartstrings' music made him realize there's more to life than just war and conquest. He's also a sadistic and furious God of Evil, though a constructive one who punishes mortals for committing crimes related to his domains of Fury, Strength, Music, and Technology.
  • Rousing Speech: As a god of Strength, he can rally his followers with rousing speeches.
  • Seers: As a god of Fury, he has a form of precognition that makes him see what happens when people give in to their inner fury or not.
  • Semi-Divine: He became an Alicorn demigod by choosing to be a divine punisher like Yarost. Later, he would Ascend to true godhood under Luminiferous' tutelage.
  • Shapeshifter Weapon: As a god of Technology, he can turn his own body parts into weapons.
  • Shell-Shocked Veteran: What he became post-adoption. While he was freed from his birth parents' influence, he became so traumatized by what he experienced that living in Yarost's hell-fief constantly put him on edge, his PTSD triggered by the violence and bloodshed. He also felt so guilty for the atrocities he did as a Super-Soldier that he ran away with the intention to kill himself, though thankfully, Luminiferous found him in time. In addition, he desired world peace because he saw war as nothing but an evil concept that brought death, pain, and suffering. He gets better thanks to his mentors, his therapists, and his adoptive family, though it took him a long time to get there and he still has some issues left.
  • Shock and Awe: His Technology domain gives him limited lightning powers, but he prefers to use his fire magic.
  • Sorry, I'm Gay: Due to being physically attractive, he has a lot of female admirers, including his own sisters and female cousins. Unfortunately, his preference for guys means he has to reject their advances a lot. He admits he feels bad whenever that happens.
  • Spell Blade: As a god of Technology, he can empower weapons with various buffs, like protection from jamming.
  • Stepford Suburbia: His hell-fief resembles a Second Age-esque metropolis with technologically advanced suburban neighborhoods, towns, and cities, and a thriving music scene. His home is a peaceful, rustic estate where he plays music and tinkers with machinery. However, it's a literal hellhole where damned shades are constantly abused, massacred, and brutalized in various ways, and forced to live in ghettos and/or war-torn environments inspired by the 'Great Wars Era'. This is invoked, as his hell-fief is designed to punish those who gave in to their inner rage and/or bloodlust, or misused things like music and technology for selfish ends. Blazing Path also calls it "a suburban hellhole full of flank-holes", which gets him cracking up.
  • The Stoic: Like Yarost, he's stoic, aloof, and tough. Justified, as his birth parents conditioned him to suppress his own emotions because having empathy is seen as weakness in combat.
  • Stop Worshipping Me: Initially, during his early days as a demigod, he shared Blue Suede Heartstrings' discomfort with being worshiped by mortals, though in his case it's out of guilt and shame towards his past actions. He genuinely couldn't understand why people would want to worship a former Tyke-Bomb who was groomed since foalhood to kill and butcher innocents. It took Yarost setting him straight for him to be more accepting and tolerant towards being worshiped.
  • Strike Me Down with All of Your Hatred!: After his suicide attempt was stopped by Luminiferous, he tried provoking the Alicorn into killing him. When that didn't work, he outright begged Luminiferous to kill him. Luminiferous refused and instead made him his student to help him recover from his trauma.
  • Super-Empowering: As a god of Strength, he can empower his mortal/infernal followers physically and mentally.
  • Super-Hearing: His Music domain gives him divinely enhanced hearing and the accompanying resistance to protect him from deafness.
  • Super-Reflexes: Being a Super-Soldier gives him a faster reaction time, to where he can catch arrows in mid-air.
  • Super-Scream: As a god of Music, he can unleash potent sonic screams. When combined with his fire magic, his screams can inflict serious burns.
  • Super-Soldier: Cultura calls him the Fourth Age equivalent of one. Thanks to the experiments his birth parents performed on him, he has enhanced physical capabilities, greater magic reserves, and a faster reaction time to the point of catching arrows in mid-air. He can also manipulate metal thanks to being injected with a liquid metal formula similar to Broken Fang's, coating himself with metal like armor, forming metal wing blades, and firing shards of hardened metal with his wings. Naturally, his being a super-soldier comes with combat training and skill in weaponry. He would become even more powerful after Ascending to godhood, and he would learn more about combat from various deities, both inside and outside the Bogolenya Deer Pantheon.
  • Super-Strength: As a Super-Soldier, he has enhanced strength, and becoming a god of Strength made him even stronger than is the norm for his divine 'age'. His elephant form also enhances his strength tenfold.
  • Super-Toughness: As a Super-Soldier, he has enhanced endurance, and becoming a god of Strength made him even more durable than is the norm for his divine 'age'. His elephant form also enhances his endurance tenfold.
  • Teach Him Anger: He has been provoking and prodding Prince Steel Barricade to make him show his anger more on account of the Terran Prince being extremely stoic to cope with his own trauma.
  • Tears of Joy: He cried in joy when Blue Suede Heartstrings, whom he idolized, decided to make him his student. However, he kept denying it when asked during Codex Equus interviews, forcing Jade Shell to ask Blue Suede instead.
Jade Shell: Dühroham kept denying that he cried after becoming Blue Suede’s student during our interview. The only reason why I know he did cry is because I had to ask Blue Suede himself.
  • Technopath: As a god of Technology, he can control technology in various ways, such as activating dormant technology, dismantling/reconstructing machines at extremely fast rates, and creating makeshift suits of armor from scrap parts. He has psychic knowledge on any machine, allowing him to know how to fix any flaws/glitches affecting them. He can empower weapons with buffs (such as protection from jamming), turn his own body parts into weapons, and cast spells to grant machines and weapons some degree of sapience and autonomy to punish damned shades who abused technology in life. Unusually, his domain includes controlling Demon technology, which he discovered by accident during his academic stay in Malrègnar. Both his family and Malrègnarian tutors are looking into studying this further.
  • Telepathy: As a god of Fury, he has telepathic powers that allow him to sense and encourage people's inner fury. His domain of Strength also gives him a telepathic ability to sense what people consider to be 'true' strength.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: In his mortal youth, he was a Super-Soldier who was taught to believe that Virtue Is Weakness and felt baffled every time someone showed him compassion. He was also much angrier and more violent back then due to untreated PTSD. In the present, he's still an angry and aloof god, but he's also much more empathetic to others, enjoys partaking in his hobbies of music and technology, and is a loving father to his adoptive children. He's also more forgiving of others thanks to being around Luminiferous and Moon Ray Vaughoof, as shown with him forgiving Blue Suede Heartstrings for his flaws and mistakes.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: He loves egg salad sandwiches, and often munches on them even during work. According to him, they were the first thing he ate that wasn't "military-grade slop". He also treated Blue Suede Heartstrings to some egg salad sandwiches to reward his mentor for passing his Secret Test of Character in handling his repressed anger.
  • Tyke-Bomb: Deconstructed. Because his birth parents groomed him to be a Super-Soldier and treated him like one for much of his mortal life, he was left with horrible PTSD and an inability to properly feel/understand empathy for others. He also felt so guilty over the atrocities he committed for his kingdom that he became a Death Seeker.
  • Unwitting Pawn: He and his fellow Purveyors lent their avatars to help Swan Song create a Zombie Apocalypse as part of a Deal with the Devil they made. What they didn't know was that Swan Song intended to summon a Walpurgisnacht and sacrificed the Purveryors' avatars to do so by tricking Sky Star into killing them off one by one. Once he learns of it, he is furious, influencing him and the other Purveyors to personally help stop the Walpurgisnacht and kill it.
  • Villainous Crush: It's rumored In-Universe that he developed a crush on Prince Steel Barricade, Emperor Golden Scepter's eleventh-born son and the Alicorn demigod of Technology, likely due to his strength and sharing similar experiences in breaking down over their atrocities.
  • Virtue Is Weakness: Deconstructed. A huge reason why he was baffled by displays of kindness and sympathy, especially when directed at him, is because his birth parents hammered into him that such things are 'weaknesses' to be excised. Ironically, they never thought to outright remove his emotions, which he considers himself "lucky" for. This upbringing contributed to his overall trauma and left him unable to empathize with people, including his adoptive family and relatives. It took him a long time to accept that feeling positive emotions in general was okay.
  • Walking the Earth: Much of his character development occurred while he was traveling across the world, whether with Luminiferous, Moon Ray Vaughoof, or Blue Suede Heartstrings. All three of them helped him overcome his extreme trauma for the most part, later influencing him to choose to be a divine punisher and Ascend to demi-godhood.
  • Was It Really Worth It?: During an exchange with the damned shades of his birth parents, he asks them if their warmongering ways and the countless lives they "threw away like trash" were ultimately worth it in the end. It's not known whether they answered him or not.
  • Weather Manipulation: He's skilled with weather magic due to him being a former Pegasus. He specializes in the heat aspects with it, being able to generate heat and weaponize searing-hot winds that can incinerate/melt most materials.
  • Winged Unicorn: Post-Ascension, he became an Alicorn with a jet-black mane and tail made of smoke (it turns into fire when he's sufficiently angry). He doesn't have a magical wing gradient yet due to his current divine 'age', but he will grow one once he gets older.
  • Worthy Opponent: He's gay, but he's especially attracted to strong males who can best him in combat. This might be why he developed a crush on Prince Steel Barricade, the Alicorn demigod of Technology, on account of his strength as a Warrior Prince of the Terran Empire.

Princess Voľná Láska, the Enlightened Sage

Classification: Ascendant/Elemental

Portfolio: Addiction, Enlightenment, Love, Nature

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

"Let's travel to the land beyond the Doors of Perception. Step outside the boundaries of your mind, lose yourself in the eternal collective unconscious... and rot!"

Princess Voľná Láska (her entry here) is the Deer goddess of Addiction, Enlightenment, Love, and Nature, and is an adoptive member of the Deti Uzhasov.
  • Abstract Apotheosis: Like her cousin Dühroham, she Ascended to demi-godhood by choosing to become an infernal punisher, believing she can protect people from suffering like she did as a fawn if she went after those who committed crimes relating to addiction, enlightenment, and nature fanaticism.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Unlike Mariska, she has a Dark and Troubled Past in the Codexverse that informed her character and actions later in adulthood. Because her parents exploited her precognition by keeping her high all the time, she became wary of getting close to people (including her own adoptive family) for fear of being exploited again. And because her parents murdered her childhood friend for interfering, she languished in grief for a long time, choosing to stay addicted so she could keep her friend 'alive'. She was also a Troubled Sympathetic Bigot thanks to her upbringing by the Neo-Alvslog Deer Herds, which her adoptive family understood but nonetheless felt hurt by her racism. Thanks to Moon Ray Vaughoof and, later, Joyous Freedom, she overcame msot of her trauma and directed her experiences to higher causes, like punishing the wicked.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: In Lollipop Chainsaw, Mariska is an elite zombie from Rotten World, with no backstory to explain who she is. In the Codexverse, she was a mortal Deer doe who, as a fawn, was turned into a Junkie Prophet by her parents so they can exploit her precognitive visions. Her fawnhood friend Tiszta tried saving her and was brutally executed as punishment. A sojourning Pokhot later finds her while she was suffering an overdose, kicking off a series of events that not only leads to her Neo-Alvslog community's destruction, but also her Ascension to godhood once she overcomes the worst parts of her trauma and grief.
  • Adaptational Badass: Mariska is a superpowered elite zombie who can play the sitar and, out of the Dark Purveyors, has more mystical powers like illusions, teleportation, and levitation. Here, she's a bonafide goddess who embodies the consequences of Addiction, as well as the harmful aspects of Enlightenment, Love, and Nature. In addition to being a skilled musician who was personally tutored by Moon Ray Vaughoof, one of the greatest Blues musicians of the Second Age, she has even stronger Psychic Powers, can conjure illusions to Lotus-Eater Machine degrees, and is a 'prodigy deity', being a prodigy in plant magic in her mortal youth. She also has a One-Winged Angel form where she turns into a gigantic, enthrallingly beautiful butterfly-like creature, something that Mariska didn't have.
  • Adaptational Heroism: In Lollipop Chainsaw, Mariska helped Swan start a Zombie Apocalypse simply For the Evulz. Here, she's a divine punisher of the wicked who follows 'Constructive Evil' and abhors 'Destructive Evil'. Notably, she was horrified when she learns Swan Song intended to summon a Walpurgisnacht — the very disaster that Mariska helped bring about in Lollipop Chainsaw — and actively helped bring it down. Also, in regards to what happened, she's depicted here as an Unwitting Pawn who was tricked into letting her avatar be sacrificed as part of Swan Song's ritual, whereas Mariska willingly lets herself be sacrificed by Swan to summon Killabilly.
  • Adaptational Jerkass: Unlike Mariska, she was a Troubled Sympathetic Bigot by virtue of being raised in an intolerant community that styled itself after the Alvslog Deer Herds. Her racist beliefs and puristic views of evil alienated both her infernal adoptive family and her noble relatives, until she was forced to see that her behavior was wrong by interacting with non-Deer deities outside the Bogolenya Deer Pantheon. This led to her becoming the Affably Evil, carefree hippie that Mariska is in the game.
  • Adaptational Skill: Unlike Mariska, she's an avid gardener, and she's good at cooking and making tea blends.
  • Adaptation Species Change: Mariska of Lollipop Chainsaw is a Revenant Zombie. Here, she's a Deer goddess.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Deer goddess who embodies Addiction, Enlightenment, Love, and Nature.
  • Appearance Is in the Eye of the Beholder: As a goddess of Love (specifically Eros), she can shapeshift according to her target(s)' desires.
  • Arcadia: Harshly subverted. Her hell-fief appears as a natural paradise with lush forests, tranquil temples, and forest communities that are relatively free from authoritarian influence, and multiple paths that people can take if they ever desire to travel. But underneath the utopian veneer is the hell-fief's true purpose: To punish damned shades for crimes relating to addiction, religious/spiritual enlightenment, love, and nature. The hell-fief is actually a Death World where everything is extremely deadly, leaving no hope for anyone to live In Harmony with Nature as is often believed. Even traveling isn't safe, as damned shades are forced to wander endlessly as punishment for prioritizing travel above everything else, in addition to being preyed on by dysfunctional addicts, corrupt religious/spiritual figures, and sexual predators.
  • Astral Projection: Her Enlightenment domain gives her astral projection.
  • Bad Powers, Bad People: Subverted. She's a goddess of Addiction, and she is an evil goddess who uses her domain to lure people into addiction. However, because she follows 'Constructive Evil', she gets people addicted to test their morals and to weed out the wicked from the innocent.
  • Bestiality Is Depraved: It's heavily implied that the Neo-Alvslog Deer communities she once lived in practiced this, as they performed 'recreational activities' with the local non-sapient wildlife they claimed to support. Seeing nothing wrong with it, she participated as well until she realized just how wrong it was years later. This became part of her punishments, where those who preached coexistence with nature to fanatical degrees are violated by animals for eternity. Learning of this also disgusted Jade Shell, who interviewed her, so much that the Tortoise left in the middle of her own interview and was found banging her head against the wall by coworkers.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: When not high off her flanks from drugs, she's a compassionate and generous Doe who loves playing music, helps her adoptive father Moon Ray/Canticum in locating/rehabilitating addicts, and offers advice on various topics like enlightenment and love. She also likes cooking and making tea blends with the herbs she grows. However, she's a God of Evil who embodies the harmful aspects of religion/spirituality and the Hippie movement, and she is genuinely enraged by those who selfishly try to gain enlightenment at the expense of others, especially when children is involved.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Her One-Winged Angel form is described as a gigantic, butterfly-like creature.
  • Breaking the Cycle of Bad Parenting: Her birth parents, as Neo-Alvslog Deer, bore the same bigoted, traditional, and reactionary mindsets as the original Alvslog Deer Herds. They were also both religious fanatics and eco-extremists who exploited her precognitive visions by essentially turning her into a drug addict so they could lead Erobreseg Deerkind back to their "birthright" as caretakers of nature. In stark contrast, she herself would become a good mother for her adoptive and biological children, including Shàngtiān Jiùēn/Dìyù Shēnghuó, whom she and Moon Ray saved from himself after her son's repressed traumas and negative emotions finally caught up to him.
  • Broken Bird: She was a magical Child Prodigy and an aspiring musician, but unfortunately, she was born among the Neo-Alvslog Deer Herds, former Erobreseg Deer who became increasingly depraved in trying to 'connect' with nature like the original Alvslog Deer. When she unlocked precognitive abilities during a drug-induced meditation, her parents kept her constantly on drugs so they could exploit her visions, brutally killing her friend Tiszta when the latter tried intervening. She was rescued and adopted by Pokhot, but she was so traumatized that she crossed the Despair Event Horizon, willingly becoming an addict so she could keep Tiszta 'alive'. Her behavior alienated her adoptive family/relatives, and she eventually ran away in self-loathing. She was found by Moon Ray Vaughoof, and while he did get to her eventually, it took him a while because of her stubborn refusal to let go of her addictions or her grief over Tiszta's death.
  • Broken Pedestal: Subverted. Despite knowing of Moon Ray's flaws, she never loses faith in him because he's honest with her about said flaws. This gave her some angst as she believed having a good relationship with her mentor kept her from sympathizing with Dühroham's deteriorating relationship with his own mentor, Blue Suede Heartstrings, though Moon Ray convinced her otherwise.
  • Bubble Gun: One of her attacks involves making telekinetic bubbles to trap enemies with.
  • Calling the Young Man Out: Her adoptive uncle, Sunny Field Vaughoof, would angrily call her out for turning his brother, Moon Ray Vaughoof, into the eldritch and completely stoned Mad God, Caelum Filum. To be fair, what happened was a complete accident and there was no way she or anyone else could have foreseen it.
Sunny Field Vaughoof: The hell did ya do ta Moony?!
Princess Voľná Láska: I DON'T KNOW! I think I put too much herbs or maybe mixed in too much magic... Or maybe I boiled it in the pot for too long...!
Sunny Field Vaughoof: Well, whatever ya did, mah brother's now a MONSTER 'cause of you!
Princess Voľná Láska: I'm sorry! I just wanted Father to get better!
  • Combat Clairvoyance: In her gigantic butterfly form, she can dodge attacks with the aid of precognition.
  • Combat Tentacles: As a goddess of Nature, she can summon vines for attacks.
  • Create Your Own Villain: She is directly responsible for the 'birth' of Caelum Filum and his month-long rampage across the Glimmering Isles, though he's not really a villain due to being completely stoned at the time. She is also indirectly responsible for the rise of the Cosmic Acolytes, who followed Caelum Filum so they could record/exploit his prophetic visions.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: While her birth parents' mistreatment of her left her deeply traumatized, it's learning of Tiszta's death that sent her into the Despair Event Horizon, influencing her to become an addict in her attempts to deny her grief. Any attempts by her adoptive family to help her were rebuffed due to her trauma and intolerant views. It's not until she meets Moon Ray Vaughoof that she recovers from it.
  • Dark Action Girl: Averted. While she's a magical prodigy, she's a Squishy Wizard whose Powers Do the Fighting in contrast to the male Dark Purveyors, who are skilled in physical combat on top of using magic themselves.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: She had the sheer misfortune of being born in a Neo-Alvslog Deer community that became increasingly fanatical and depraved in trying to reconnect with nature. When she unlocked precognitive abilities during a drug-induced meditation, her parents turned her into a Junkie Prophet by constantly feeding her drugs to enhance her visions so they can exploit her. Her childhood friend Tiszta was brutally murdered for trying to save her, and she was later found suffering from a drug overdose by a horrified Pokhot. She was rescued and healed in time, but was so traumatized that she became wary of connecting with others and developed a form of denial through addiction, believing she was keeping Tiszta 'alive'. This (among other things) strained her relationship with her adoptive family, spurring her to run away. Even after meeting Moon Ray Vaughoof and being taken under his wing, she continued her self-destructive behavior until she got in trouble with drug dealers, sparking a heated argument where she accidentally blurted out her reasons for wanting to stay addicted. Once the truth of Tiszta's death sinks in thanks to Moon Ray's gentle prodding, she turns into a sobbing mess, realizing her childhood friend is never coming back no matter what she does.
  • Deity of Human Origin: Unlike many of her adoptive siblings and cousins, who were born demi-deities before Ascending to true godhood, she was a mortal Doe who Ascended to demi-godhood by choosing to become an infernal punisher like Pokhot. She would later Ascend to true godhood under Moon Ray Vaughoof's extended tutelage.
  • Despair Event Horizon: She fell into this following a combination of the news of Tiszta's death and being hit with the full reality of what her parents and Neo-Alvslog community did to her. Despite being adopted by a sympathetic Pokhot, she willingly became a drug addict out of grief and Survivor Guilt to the point of falling deep into denial, acting and talking as if Tiszta is still alive and refusing her family's attempts to help her. This, among other things, became a contributing factor into her decision to run away from home. Fortunately, she was found by Moon Ray Vaughoof, who managed to snap her out of it despite initial difficulty.
  • Didn't See That Coming: When she made a divine drug with Joyous Freedom, she only wanted to help Moon Ray/Canticum Lunae recover from his narcolepsy (besides testing him, which Moon Ray/Canticum Lunae willingly volunteered for). She honestly didn't expect the drug itself being strong enough to transform her adoptive father into a completely stoned Eldritch Abomination, and is horrified when it does. Moon Ray/Canticum Lunae later forgives her for what happened because it was simply an accident that no one could have predicted.
  • Dreaming of Things to Come: Justified, as she's a Seer who later became a goddess of Enlightenment.
    • Her first vision, unlocked via drug-induced meditation, consisted of her as a beautiful and magnificent Nature goddess. Unfortunately, it led to her birth parents exploiting her abilities by turning her into a Junkie Prophet, whose incomprehensible ramblings were used as excuses to commit acts of eco-terrorism so they can 'guide' their Erobreseg kindred back to Alvslog society.
    • Her second major vision consisted of a Deer settlement being engulfed in fire and destruction, while demonic, Deer-like creatures tormented her family and neighbors forever. The Neo-Alvslog Deer Herds interpreted the vision as the Erobreseg Deer Herds facing certain destruction and traveled to their realms to preach the evils of modernization over being In Harmony with Nature, even resorting to eco-terrorism. The vision was actually about the Temnobog and the Four Terrors coming to punish the Neo-Alvslog Deer communities for their extreme depravity, which also turns out to be a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy.
  • Drugs Are Bad: She's a goddess of Addiction who focuses on the sin of drug addiction, especially when drugs are used to gain spiritual enlightenment, with the purpose of seeing if people can resist her temptations. Her punishment for unrepentant drug dealers/addicts involve being either painfully distilled into drugs and beverages for Voľná’s family and subordinates to get high from, or left in a constant stupor where hallucinations closely intertwine with reality. Following her move to the Corporate Pantheon, she has been tempting various musicians into becoming drug addicts, and is delighted when they resist. She has also tempted Moon Ray/Canticum Lunae, her mentor-turned-Parental Substitute, though ironically the only time she managed to get him completely stoned was when she was genuinely trying to heal him from a medical condition, with disastrous consequences for everyone.
  • The Empath: Her Enlightenment domain gives her the ability to calm chaotic and/or fractured minds by giving them tranquility. Her Addiction and Love domains also give her empathic powers, though the former is applied via sensing and encouraging addiction.
  • Enlightenment Superpowers:
    • She gained her precognitive powers by meditating in a drug-induced trance, resulting in her receiving a prophetic vision of herself as a beautiful, magnificent Nature goddess. Unfortunately, when she told her birth parents about it, they decided to exploit her foresight by keeping her high on drugs so they can use her visions to guide the 'wayward' Erobreseg Deer Herds back to proper Alvslog society.
    • After Ascending to godhood, she became a goddess of Enlightenment, which essentially gives her powers revolving around the concept. Along with Psychic Powers, she can sense want people need to gain psychic powers, heal minds via granting tranquility, and enhance her psychic abilities further by entering a state of calm.
  • Erudite Stoner: She's a Hippie stoner who derives pleasure from taking drugs, whether made by herself or others. But she's also very intelligent, is well-versed on various topics like enlightenment and love, and has a few talents like cooking, gardening, and playing music. She's also a charismatic spiritual leader in her religious aspects.
  • Even Evil Has Standards:
    • While she embodies Addiction and tempts people into excessive indulgence, she loathes those who do the same thing for the hell of it. She has developed a deep grudge against her adoptive cousin, Závislost, the Fallen god of Drug Addiction, for this reason.
    • She was also horrified to discover that Swan Song tricked her and her fellow Dark Purveyors into essentially helping him summon a Walpurgisnacht by using their divine avatars as sacrifices. This influenced their collective decision to personally help defeat said Walpurgisnacht during the climax of the 'Swan Song Crisis', all of them keeping it occupied so Sky Star and Blazing Path can put it down for good.
  • Evil Counterpart:
    • To Satori. Like Satori, Voľná is a spiritual leader who appears as a monk, and is a goddess of Enlightenment who preaches her own take on enlightenment to her followers. Unlike Satori, Voľná embodies the wicked sides of spirituality and religion, such as Higher Understanding Through Drugs, romantic/sexual promiscuity, and pro-nature fanaticism. Because Satori preaches enlightenment through friendship, Voľná has been testing Satori's followers by tempting them into pursuing unfettered means to achieve enlightenment, such as strict adherence to Satori's teachings, making their own paths in rebellion, or binding others to their will. Satori has no hard feelings against her, though, as she accepts that Good Needs Evil.
    • To Moon Ray Vaughoof. Both are music-loving Ascendant deities who grew up with Abusive Parents, and would later go through a period of drug addiction that they would eventually get out of. But unlike Moon Ray, who decided to help rehabilitate addicts and became a god of Temperance post-mortem, Voľná chose to become an infernal punisher and became a goddess of Addiction who tests people by tempting them into addiction. She also represents what happens if Moon Ray chose to stay an addict (albeit for constructive purposes). Ironically, Moon Ray is Voľná's mentor and later her adoptive father, and the only time Voľná managed to get him completely stoned was when she collaborated with Joyous Freedom on making a drug to help him recover from his chronic tiredness.
    • To Muziki, one of Moon Ray's students. Both embody Addiction, except Muziki uses his domain to prevent addiction and punish those who lure people into addiction, whereas Voľná uses her domain to test people by tempting them into addiction. Muziki is a former addict and drug dealer who atoned for his actions, whereas Voľná acts like a Erudite Stoner as a living consequence of what happens when people get addicted to something without changing for the better. Predictably, Voľná has been seen tempting Muziki into returning to his old drug-dealing ways, though she's also interested in helping him Ascend to true godhood.
    • Ironically inverted with Závislost, whom she serves as his good counterpart. Unlike Závislost, a Fallen god of Drug Addiction who lures people into addiction For the Evulz, Voľná is a goddess of Addiction who tests people's morals by tempting them into addiction. Since she hates 'Destructive Evil', Voľná has a deep grudge against Závislost because of his actions.
  • Expy: She's based on Mariska from Lollipop Chainsaw. They're both music-themed Horror Hippies who are constantly stoned, possess control over mystical powers such as illusions, and can play the sitar. They're also the only female members of the Dark Purveyors and the most laidback of them all. However, unlike Mariska, who helped spread a Zombie Apocalypse for no other reason than she could, Voľná is essentially a Noble Demon who actively helped stop a similar disaster upon learning what her actions unwittingly led to.
  • Fantastic Racism: Deconstructed. Due to being raised among the Neo-Alvslog Deer Herds, she was disgusted by her Erobreseg kindred's decision to intermingle with 'impure' non-Deer races. Her prejudice also extended to hybrids, which consisted of the majority of her adoptive family. This became part of the reason why she felt unable to return her mother and siblings' love for her, alienating them in the process and contributing to her decision to run away. She eventually comes to realize the harm she was inflicting with her bigotry thanks to people like Moon Ray Vaughoof and Joyous Freedom, and after returning home, she apologizes to her family and makes huge efforts in being more tolerant.
  • Flat "What": She responds with a stupefied, "...What," to hearing of how some Oriental religious sects performed extremely horrifying ascetic rituals in their quest to transcend all 'worldly desires', such as self-mummification or entombment.
  • Forced Transformation: Part of her hell-fief is designed to punish damned shades who hunted animals for sport, as it falls under her domain of Nature. Damned shades are transformed into non-sapient creatures upon death and are mercilessly pursued and killed for enjoyment.
  • Forgiveness:
    • Upon reuniting with Pokhot in Neighpon, she discovers her adoptive mother had forgiven her for her bigoted behavior, despite having every right to stay angry. This causes her to break down in tears. Later, her entire adoptive family forgives her as well after she apologizes for her treatment of them and makes efforts in improving herself.
    • Later, Moon Ray/Canticum forgives her and Joyous Freedom for turning him into a completely stoned Eldritch Abomination with a powerful divine drug they created, as what happened was an accident that neither of them could've predicted.
  • Freudian Excuse: Deconstructed. Many of her behaviors originated from a deeply traumatizing and psychologically abusive fawnhood, yet said behaviors turned out to be self-destructive and harmful, which contributed to the straining of her relationships with both her adoptive family and mentor.
  • God of Evil: She specifically embodies the harmful aspects of the Hippie movement, such as drug addiction, sexual promiscuity, and unfettered, ill-advised coexistence with the dangerous parts of nature. She also embodies the depraved aspects of religion/spirituality, especially the things religious devotees would do to achieve enlightenment. It's subverted as she follows 'Constructive Evil' and her role is to punish those whose sins fall under her portfolio.
  • Gone Horribly Wrong: Her quest to cure Moon Ray/Canticum Lunae of his narcolepsy led to Moon Ray/Canticum Lunae becoming a completely stoned Eldritch Abomination since the drug she created together with Joyous Freedom was too strong for him to handle. She tried making up for it by protecting Moon Ray/Canticum Lunae from those who seek to harm/exploit him until he was cured back to normal, though Moon Ray/Canticum forgave her for what happened since it was an unexpected accident.
  • Good Powers, Bad People: She possesses 'good' domains like Enlightenment, Love, and Nature, but she is a (constructive) goddess who embodies the depraved sides of said domains and uses them to tempt mortals into wickedness. Enlightenment is notable because it's usually treated as a goal for the spiritually-minded to achieve, and it gives her the ability to restore chaotic and/or fractured minds via giving them tranquility.
  • Green Thumb: As a goddess of Nature, she specifically embodies her domain's plant aspects, and even as a mortal, she was a prodigy at plant magic. She can accelerate plant growth and summon various plants and vines for attacks, and heal/bolster her plants' defenses. She can communicate with plants, keep track of her whereabouts through plants so she (and others) will never get lost, and teleport through plants. She can telekinetically use storms of razor-sharp petals to shred her enemies alive. She also has psychic knowledge on plants and how to use them, whether for drugs, medicine, or food. More powerful techniques involve creating armies of sapient plants and treas, inhabiting trees and controlling them from inside like a Humongous Mecha, and commanding entire forests to attack anything within its borders. When combined with her Enlightenment domain, she can connect with the forests themselves to enhance her extrasensory perception and other psychic abilities, giving her wider psychic vision.
  • Half-Breed Discrimination: Due to being raised among the Neo-Alvslog herds, she felt disgusted towards her infernal adoptive family, many of whom are Deer-Draconequui hybrids. It's deconstructed as it alienates her family and drives a wedge between them, even though they understand she's a product of her environment. Once she is forced to see the flaws of Alvslog society and learns of High King Irminsul's hypocrisy, she realizes her beliefs were wrong and proceeds to apologize to her adoptive family after coming back from an extended period of time away from home.
  • Happily Adopted:
    • In her mortal youth, she would be adopted by Pokhot, who found her suffering from a drug overdose and took her to be cured. While she refused to accept Pokhot as her mother at first due to a combination of trauma, an intolerant upbringing, and grief over Tiszta's death, she later realized the harm her bigotry was causing. At Moon Ray's encouragement, she apologized and reconciled with Pokhot, and made huge efforts in becoming more tolerant.
    • Later, she would be adopted by her mentor, Moon Ray Vaughoof, sometime after he moved to Kerajaan Cahaya and adopting Prince Dissonant Tune. As Moon Ray helped her deal with her grief and break free of her drug addiction, she quickly accepted him as her father and helps him locate/rehabilitate addicts even while she tests him. Even Emperor Golden Scepter, who took in the entire Bogolenya Deer Pantheon through his adoption of Belyolen and Temnobog, gave Moon Ray his full blessings to be her father once he heard of it.
  • Higher Understanding Through Drugs: Her community did drugs in order to connect with nature, and this is what led to her unlocking her foresight, with tragic consequences. After Ascending to godhood, she can invoke this by creating various drugs in her personal laboratory. She encourages family memebrs to partake in 'bonding' acitivites like group meditation, though she admits they mostly just sit and smoke weed, or have orgies while in their highs. She would later do this by accident to her mentor-turned-adoptive father, Moon Ray/Canticum Lunae, by turning him into Caelum Filum with a very powerful drug. This eventually led to Moon Ray/Canticum Lunae's re-Ascension as a benevolent eldritch god.
  • High Priest: Pun aside, she was given the role of High Priestess by her birth parents after she manifested precognitive abilities during a drug-induced meditation. While she theoretically has great political authority after her parents due to Alvslog society prizing Seers like her, she was actually a glorified, abused figurehead who gave her birth parents an excuse to exploit her power and promote their pro-Alvslog bigotry. Her time as High Priestess gave her a lot of psychological issues that took her a long time to overcome, and after becoming an infernal punisher, she took a while to get used to playing the priestess again due to lingering trauma associated with it.
  • Holier Than Thou: Invoked. As an evil goddess who embodies the worst aspects of spiritual/religious enlightenment, she acts haughty and self-righteous on purposes. To punish damned shades for similar acts in life, she willingly sabotages or outright fights 'rival sects' to validate her own beliefs that her way is the 'right way'.
  • Horror Hippies: She's a Deer goddess who embodies the negative aspects of the Second Age Hippie movement, which rose in response to the various wars that plagued Ponyland. She dresses like a hippie and is high all the time, but is also a depraved hedonist who gets pleasure from doing drugs, and believes there's no wrong time to get stoned. However, she's a Noble Demon who directs her evil towards constructive purposes like testing mortals with temptations of what they desired most to the point of addiction, and punishing those who died unrepentant for crimes relating to her portfolios. Ironically, her genuine attempt to cure her chronically-tired adoptive father using drugs led to him transforming into an Eldritch Abomination and other disastrous consequences because the drug itself was too powerful.
  • Immune to Mind Control: As a goddess of Enlightenment, she has a supernaturally indomitable will that protects her against brainwashing spells.
  • Instrument of Murder: Her primary weapon is Woodstock, a magical sitar that enhances her abilities tenfold and channel them through Magic Music, allowing her to do things like creating more elaborate illusions and summoning more plants.
  • Ironic Hell: She rules over a hell-fief where damned shades are punished according to the crimes they committed in relation to her domains of Addiction, Enlightenment, Love, and Nature. Fittingly, her hell-fief resembles a seemingly Arcadian-style utopia that's actually an incredibly horrific Death World.
    • Those who became addicts without repenting will suffer depending on what they got addicted to. Sex addicts are exploited and raped, turned into inanimate toys to satisfy carnal amusements, or forced to suffer extreme sense deprivation. Drug addicts are either painfully distilled into drugs and beverages for Voľná’s family and subordinates to get high from, or left in a constant stupor where hallucinations closely intertwine with reality. Travel addicts are constantly on the move, never allowed rest or enjoyment that normally comes with discovering new places.
    • Those who misled and/or hurt others (or themselves) for the sake of enlightenment are left perpetually ignorant and desperate for spiritual/religious sustenance. Damned shades go through torturous ascetic rituals, such as self-mummification, entombment, and/or starvation. Others are deprived of all senses in a perversion of spiritual transcendence, or exploited/violented by depraved religious hedonists. Others are given too much enlightenment to where they are literally blinded and/or made aware of things people aren't, leaving them insane, gibbering messes who are unable to share their revelations with others. Those who abused their positions of religious spiritual authority are subjected to the same abuses they committed in life, being violated, persecuted, and/or branded as heretics.
    • Those who demeaned, exploited, and/or outright destroyed love are either put in abusive relationships and marriages, or made 'love-hungry' so they could never feel satisfied no matter how much love they desire or how much love they have. Some damned shades are cursed so people are automatically repulsed by their presence. Those who abandoned their lovers are punished via finding themselves being utterly helpless as they're magically forced to leave their loved ones behind. Alternatively, they're made unable to feel true love for their partners, leaving them feeling empty despite still feeling sexual pleasure. Those who conditioned others to be slavishly devoted to them are in turn enslaved by the person(s) of their adoration, with attempts to break free being met with punishment.
    • Those who exploited/destroyed nature are thrown into wild areas where everything is out to kill them, from plants to animals and bugs. Damned shades are turned into trees that are cut down for building material, or turned into non-sapient animals that are hunted for sport. These punishments also apply to fanatical Nature Lovers like eco-terrorists, who protect nature at the expense of everyoen else. It's noted that some plant species used in the hell-fief were delivered from Meridia for their potency (and handled with care). The damned souls of her depraved Neo-Alvslog family and neighbors were also subjected to the aforementioned punishments... as well as being violated in ways that were inspired by the 'recreational activities' they performed in life.
  • Jerkass Realization: Her globe-trotting trips with Moon Ray and Joyous Freedom eventually make her realize that her biological family's intolerant beliefs were wrong, and that she was wrong to treat her adoptive family like shit just because they're 'evil' as well as Deer hybirds. Once she is found by Pokhot and taken home, she proceeds to apologize to her adoptive family for her behavior and make amends for it. To their credit, her adoptive family did understand her behavior was the result of intense grief and growing up among former Erobreseg Deer who emulated their Alvslog kin, though they were nonetheless hurt by her bigotry.
  • Junkie Prophet: Her birth parents decided to exploit her budding foresight by turning her into a drug-addled 'High Priestess', isolating her and constantly feeding her drugs to enhance her visions. Despite Tiszta's efforts to save her, her birth parents did their damnedest to keep her under their control, leading to her suffering an overdose by the time Pokhot found her. Her mistreatment led to her being wary of connecting to others for fear of being exploited again, initially contributing to her strained relationships with her adoptive family and mentors. As a result, it took a long time for her to accept that there are people who unconditionally love her regardless of her powers.
  • Lotus-Eater Machine: Like her younger adoptive brother, Prince Touha, she can create illusionary worlds, except as a goddess of Addiction, her worlds stimulate the senses and allow people to indulge in their addictions for as long as they wish. She can make these worlds nightmarishly surreal of she chooses to.
  • Love Goddess: As a goddess of Love, she specifically embodies Eros love (sensual and/or passionate love), which is thematically connected to the Hippies' sexual promiscuity. She has enhanced empathy, and she can inflame feelings in others, sense/encourage passionate desire, and shapeshift according to her target(s)' desires. As an infernal punisher, though, she uses her abilities to tempt people into committing adultery and going on wild sexual escapades. When combined with her Addiction domain, she can bind others to her will and make her own presence irresistible, making her victims slavishly devoted to her. She can also cast various curses to punish Love-related crimes, some of them taught by Joyous Freedom.
  • Magic Hair: She has long, rippling black hair made of Nature energy, with flowers blooming from it before fading away, representing how things can be affected by corrupt teachings. It's noted that hair is something all Deer deities can manifest, but many of them choose not to either out of preference or gender-based tradition.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Enlightened Sage", due to being a goddess of Enlightenment who also represents the worst sides of religion/spirituality.
  • Mama Bear: While she hates religious/spiritual exploitation in general, she is enraged whenever she sees religious/spiritual leaders either prostituting young children or turning them into blindly obedient messiah-like figures they can use as pawns. Many of the legends surrounding her spoke of how she went after corrupt sects that did such things with a fury that could rival Dühroham's on a bad day.
    • She once went after a Fourth Age Bodhisattvist sect who, inspired by apocryphal records of Ashineigha, performed extremely horrific experiments on children by forcing them to eat centipedes that granted pseudo-immortality to their hosts. Enraged by the Bodhisattvist sect's atrocities, she marked the corrupt devotees for eternal damnation and alerted the local pantheon, leading to the devotes and their associates being Dragged Off to Hell. The surviving children, meanwhile, were rescued from their abusers and healed.
Princess Voľná Láska: (roaring) YOU COULD HAVE CHOSEN TO ENLIGHTEN YOUR PEOPLE! TO BRING EVERY-CREATURE THE JOYS OF LOVE AND PEACE! BUT INSTEAD, YOU CHOSE IMMORTALITY THROUGH THE BODIES OF CHILDREN!
  • The Marvelous Deer: Played with. She originally started out as an innocent Doe who was corrupted by the depraved, intolerant environment she grew up in, and her resulting trauma turned her into a Troubled Sympathetic Bigot who stubbornly refused to let go of self-destructive behaviors out of grief. After meeting Moon Ray and, later, Joyous Freedom, she overcame her bigotry and chose to become a divine punisher so no one would suffer like she did. While she is a depraved goddess who lures mortals into addiction and spiritual/religious corruption, she directs her behavior towards constructive purposes and tests mortals to see if they'll resist her.
  • Master of Illusion: As a goddess of Addiction, she can create incredibly powerful illusions, including a giant hoof that stomps on enemies and hordes of zombified farm animals. She also, like Prince Touha, can create illusionary worlds that stimulate the senses and where people can indulge in their addictions for as long as they wish. Ironically, she can see through illusions thanks to her domain of Enlightenment.
  • Meaningful Name:
  • Mind over Matter: Her Enlightenment domain gives her psychic telekinesis. She can use it to make bubbles that trap her enemies, or butterflies made of psychic energy that sap her enemies' health on contact.
  • The Minion Master: In her One-Winged Angel form, she can create tree minions by 'pooping' out rapidly-growing seeds.
  • Misery Builds Character: She admits she felt bad for having a good relationship with her mentor, Moon Ray Vaughoof, because she believed it prevented her from fully sympathizing with Dühroham's deteriorating relationship with his own mentor, Blue Suede Heartstrings. Moon Ray convinced her that simply listening and being supportive would help more than torturing themselves to gain better understanding of others. She took his advice to heart and tried supporting Dühroham as best as she could, which he greatly appreciated.
  • Moth Menace: Her One-Winged Angel form is a gigantic, butterfly-like creature that is a twisted parody of Mothryu, a mixture of flesh and plant, and has huge, leaf-like wings with disturbingly realistic eye markings (which she uses to stun her enemies). She's also a highly charismatic and insidious God of Evil who lures mortals into addiction and spiritual/religious corruption, but devotes her nature to constructive purpose like testing people's morality.
  • Nature Lover: Despite her horrific experiences as a former Neo-Alvslog Deer, she nonetheless loves and appreciates nature, and chose to study it in order to understand why people want to destroy or obsessively protect it. During her free time, she would go on nature walks and study plants, or tend to her garden where she grows fresh herbs and other useful plants. Unlike many nature lovers, she is willing to have her palace home installed with modern technology like bathrooms and lights. And thanks to learning under Moon Ray/Canticum, a Death god she believes that all things must die to make room for new life in an endless cycle, or there will be bad consequences for everyone.
  • Nature Spirit: She's a Nature goddess who specifically embodies the plant aspects of nature, giving her power over them. However, as an infernal punisher, she goes after people who pursue the unfettered sides of nature like eco-terrorism and ill-advised natural co-existence. As a mortal fawn, she foresaw herself as a magnificent Nature goddess after her precognition manifested, but this got her exploited by her parents, who kept her drugged so they can use her visions for their own ends. It's after breaking free from her parents' toxic beliefs and acknowledging the good and bad sides of nature that she chooses to become an infernal punisher like Joyous Freedom, allowing her to Ascend and fulfill her first vision.
  • Never Be Hurt Again: Part of the reason why she had a hard time returning her adoptive family's love is because she believed they only loved her for her clairvoyant powers, as her birth parents exploited her once she manifested them. It took her a long time to accept that her adoptive family loves her unconditionally, regardless of her powers.
  • No Sympathy: She was completely unsympathetic to Swan Song's motives for starting the Zombie Apocalypse. Considering that Swan Song did it simply because he was picked on in school and was rejected by a Doe he crushed on, it's understandable.
  • Oh, Crap!: Both she and Joyous Freedom were horrified when their attempt to heal/test a narcoleptic Moon Ray/Canticum with a divine drug they made went horribly wrong, and were forced to watch as said drug transformed Moon Ray/Canticum into a completely stoned Eldritch Abomination.
  • One-Winged Angel: Like Pokhot and her oldest adoptive siblings, she has the ability to turn into a more powerful form. In her case, she transforms into a gigantic, enthrallingly beautiful butterfly-like creature described by others as a twisted parody of Mothryu, one of Neighpon's guardian Kaiju. In this form, her body is a mixture of flesh and plant with tree bark grafted onto her like armor, and she has huge, leaf-like butterfly wings with colorful patterns and disturbingly realistic eye markings. She's an incredibly fast flyer with the ability to dodge attacks with the aid of precognition, and she can use her wings to kick up powerful winds and dispense hallucinogenic spores that inflict terrifyingly surreal hallucinations upon contact. She can also create tree minions to command and bolster magically by pooping out seeds that quickly grow.
  • Oppose What You Suffered:
    • She absolutely hates religious/spiritual exploitation, which stems from how her parents exploited her precognitive abilities for their own benefit by turning her into a Junkie Prophet. She believes everyone deserves a positive enlightening experience, and is enraged when people ruin it for others by giving harmful teachings and exploiting others' naivety. But what she hates the most is seeing religious/spiritual leaders groom young children, whether as prostitutes or messiah-like figures who are actually glorified, blindly obedient pawns. She gained such a reputation regarding this that many legends based on her adventures depicted her as a wrathful figure who went after deeply corrupt sects, her fury being comparable to Dühroham's on a bad day.
    • She also hates pro-nature fanatics, seeing them as Hypocrites who hurt innocent people just to protect nature despite claiming to support it. While she does understand why her family and neighbors chose to break away from their Erobreseg kindred, she believes they deserved to be damned for the horrible things they did and feels ashamed for her role in her Neo-Alvslog community's corruption. It's rumored she sent several of her followers into Thicket, King Aspen's home, due to the Alvslog King being an eco-extremist and unpleasant Jerkass who also participated in the Elternteil Deer Pantheon's horrific abuse of Blue Suede Heartstrings. She also started hating the reclusive Nature Giants after hearing about their horribly racist treatment of Legate Anela, a Nature Giant hybrid with half-Giant of Light heritage.
  • Parental Abandonment: Her birth parents were killed by the Four Terrors during a 'Calling the Terrors' sanction that destroyed the Neo-Alvslog community she grew up in. She doesn't begrudge Pokhot for it and doesn't really care that her birth parents died, since they were abusive and exploitative to her in life.
  • Petal Power: She can telekinetically manipulate storms of razor-sharp petals to shred her enemies alive.
  • Planimal: Her One-Winged Angel form is a gigantic butterfly-like creature whose body is a mixture of flesh and plant, with tree bark grafted onto her like armor. Her wings are also huge and leaf-like.
  • Point of Divergence: According to her, if her friend Tiszta hadn't made her aware of her community's corruption, she likely would have died from a drug overdose or, barring that, continued being her community's glorified figurehead for the rest of her life.
  • Powers Do the Fighting: Deconstructed. Her extremely conservative and traditional upbringing left her a Squishy Wizard, so she fights with her powers to compensate. If her powers fail, however, she is left completely defenseless. This is how Sky Star managed to defeat her avatar during their fight.
  • Psychic Powers: She first manifested her psychic powers in the form of prophetic visions, after which things went to absolute hell for her. After becoming a goddess of Enlightenment years later, she gained more psychic powers like telepathy, astral projection, extrasensory perception (in which she can psychically view the world around her), and precognition. She also has psychic telekinesis, which she can use to make bubbles that trap her enemies, or psychic butterflies that latch onto her enemies to sap their health. She can also enhance her abilities further by entering a state of calm. Most of her abilities have been nurtured under Moon Ray/Canticum's tutelage.
  • Restoration of Sanity: As a goddess of Enlightenment, she can heal chaotic and/or fractured minds by giving them tranquility.
  • Rotten Rock & Roll: Her music genre of choice is psychedelic/acid rock, which she switched to after learning how to play Blues Rock under Moon Ray Vaughoof's tutelage. While she's the most mellow and laidback of the Dark Purveyors, she's also an infernal goddess who lures people into spiritual and religious corruption, though a constructive one who punishes mortals for committing crimes related to her domains of Addiction, Enlightenment, Love, and Nature.
  • Seers: Her Enlightenment domain gives her precognition. Even before becoming a goddess, she had prophetic visions that were activated by drugs, the first being of herself as a magnificent Nature goddess. The fact that her birth parents and Neo-Alvslog community exploited her power by turning her into a Junkie Prophet messed her up deeply, to the point where she became wary of connecting with people out of fear of being exploited again.
  • Semi-Divine: She became a demigod after choosing to become a divine punisher of the wicked like Joyous Freedom. Later, she would Ascend to true godhood under Moon Ray Vaughoof's tutelage.
  • Sinister Minister: While she's more of a monk thanks to strong Oriental influence from Joyous Freedom
  • The Smurfette Principle: Much like Mariska, she's the only female member of the Dark Purveyors.
  • Squishy Wizard: One of her biggest weaknesses is that she's not very good at physical combat, so she fights with her powers to make up for it. This proved to be her avatar's undoing, as once Sky Star figured out how to bypass the illusions and other powers, she tore into her with relative ease. It's justified due to her upbringing, with her fawnhood Neo-Alvslog Deer community holding extremely conservative views on gender roles.
  • Supreme Chef: She makes her own tea blends, cakes, and pastries by using herbs from both her garden and antlers. She can also make sandwiches. Satori absolutely loves her teas and cakes, and enjoys them when not clashing with her.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: Subverted. She does understand why her birth parents and neighbors broke away from the Erobreseg Deer Herds, but because they became corrupt and exploited her precognitive powers by getting her addicted to drugs, she believes they deserved to be damned for the horrible things they did. She also feels ashamed for her role in her Neo-Alvslog community's corruption.
  • Talking to the Dead: After learning of Tiszta's fate, she was so overwhelmed with grief that to cope with it, she willingly becomes a drug addict to keep her fawnhood friend 'alive' and pretending that Tiszta's still there. Because of this, she constantly refused to be cured of her addiction, which became part of the reason why she alienated her adoptive family. However, once she meets Moon Ray Vaughoof and he learns why she's refusing his help, she's forced to face the reality of Tiszta's death, and doing so causes her to break down crying. She's later able to talk to Tistza for real, after Belyolen gives her permission to visit Tistza in the Heaven-Realms.
  • Telepathy: Her Enlightenment domain gives her telepathic powers. Her Addiction domain also has telepathy which she can use to sense and encourage addictions.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: She loves eating meat dishes, which she discovered during her trips in the Oriental lands with Joyous Freedom. She has stated her preference for meat is a 'middle claw' towards both the Neo-Alvslog herds' fanatical pro-nature traditions, and the stereotype that Deer are tree-hugging vegetarians.
  • Tragic Villain: She's presently a God of Evil who embodies the wicked aspects of Addiction, Enlightenment, Love, and Nature, but in her mortal youth, she was essentially turned into a drug addict by her parents so they could exploit her precognitive visions. Her fawnhood friend was brutally murdered as punishment for trying to save her, and by the time she was found by Pokhot, she was experiencing a potentially fatal overdose. Learning of her fawnhood friend's fate and realizing what her parents did to both of them broke her so much that this time, she willingly went back into addiction to cope with her guilt and trauma. All attempts made by her adoptive family to help her failed because of her stubborn refusal to let it go. Things finally turned up for her when she ran away and met Moon Ray Vaughoof, and even then it wasn't an easy ride.
  • Transflormation: Invoked. To punish damned shades for becoming pro-nature fanatics, she has them transformed into trees that are eternally cut down for building material.
  • Troubled Sympathetic Bigot: Much like her younger sister, Queen Krásná Tradice, she became this due to her upbringing as a Neo-Alvslog Deer. Despite the sheer trauma she suffered at the hooves of both her birth parents and corrupt community, she continued clinging to the bigoted lessons they taught her, and she resorted to using drugs to cope with her grief over losing her fawnhood friend, Tiszta. Her bigotry in part alienated her adoptive family and relatives because she refused to accept the existence of evil and interracial relationships, culminating in her running away from her new home out of self-loathing. Fortunately, becoming a globe-trotter and meeting non-Deer like Moon Ray Vaughoof and Joyous Freedom allowed her to overcome most of her issues, and forced her to see that her beliefs were wrong. Upon returning home, she would apologize to her adoptive family for mistreating them and work on being more tolerant, which her adoptive family appreciated even though they understood she was ultimately a product of her environment.
  • True Sight: As a goddess of Enlightenment, she can see through illusions and falsehoods. Which is pretty ironic since her Addiction domain gives her power over illusions.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: She collaborated with Joyous Freedom on creating a drug to test Moon Ray Vaughoof in both morals and powers. She ends up kickstarting the 'Cosmic Prophet Debacle' when Moon Ray turned into a completely-stoned Eldritch Abomination upon consuming the drug because it was too powerful.
  • Unwitting Pawn: She was horrified to learn that she and her fellow Purveyors were tricked by Swan Song into lending their avatars as part of his plan to summon a Walpurgisnacht to kill everyone who 'wronged' him. This influenced her and the other Purveyors to personally help stop the Walpurgisnacht and kill it.
  • When Trees Attack: Invoked. As a goddess of Nature, she can create armies of sapient trees, possess them to attack through them like a Humongous Mecha, and command entire forests to attack everything within their borders. In her One-Winged Angel form, she can create tree minions by 'pooping' out rapidly-growing seeds.
  • Wind from Beneath My Wings: In her infernal butterfly form, she can use her huge wings to kick up powerful winds.
  • You Could Have Used Your Powers for Good!: In one Fourth Age incident, she furiously lambasted an extremely corrupt Bodhisattvist sect for choosing to pursue immortality by experimenting on young children, instead of doing their jobs as religious authorities/devotees to bring enlightenment to their people.

  • The Big Guy: He's the biggest of the Dark Purveyors in height, with Prince Dühroham Erobreseg coming in second.
  • Expy: He's based on Vikke from Lollipop Chainsaw.

Prince Lázadó, the Prince of Anarchy

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Anarchy, Disorder, Rebels

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

Prince Lázadó (first introduced here) is the Celestial Griffon god of Anarchy, Disorder, and Rebels, and is a member of the Dark Purveyors.
  • Adaptational Badass: In Lollipop Chainsaw, he's a sentient, superpowered elite zombie with the power to literally hurt people with his words. Here, he's a bonafide god who embodies the harmful aspects of anarchy, social disorder, and revolutions.
  • Adaptational Heroism: In Lollipop Chainsaw, he and the Dark Purveyors helped Swan create a Zombie Apocalypse for no reason other than for the hell of it. Here, he follows 'constructive Evil', and goes after those who resort to extremely reprehensible methods to topple authoritarian regimes/governments/factions.
  • Adaptation Species Change: Zed of Lollipop Chainsaw is a Revenant Zombie. Here, he's a mortal Griffon who later Ascended and became a Celestial Griffon.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's a Celestial Griffon god who embodies Anarchy, Disorder, and Rebels.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Lázadó was born a mortal wingless Griffon in one of the Cardinal Griffon Realms (he refuses to say which, but has stated he's not a Northern Griffon), his parent a revolutionary who rose up to overthrow the tyrannical Autorist order that reigned over their kingdom... but ended up becoming as unfettered, fanatical, and abusive as the Autorists he opposed. After his parent went too far, Lázadó kiled them to end their threat, but was deeply traumatized by it for years. Even after being found and adopted by Yarost and Phykti, he couldn't accept the idea of punishing or killing someone close to him even for good reasons, and ran away from home because of it. Fortunately, Lázadó was found by Prince Dissonant Tune, who became his mentor. Learning why Dissonant Tune chose the path of 'Constructive Evil' helped Lázadó come to terms with what he had done to his parent, triggering his Ascension.
  • Deity of Human Origin: He was a mortal wingless Griffon who Ascended to godhood after understanding the purpose of 'Constructive Evil', and accepting his act of killing his revolutionary parent before they became a threat themselves.
  • Expy: He's based on Zed from Lollipop Chainsaw.
  • God of Evil: He specifically embodies the toxic, destructive, and harmful aspects of anarchy, disorder, and rebellion, and how people are willing to conquer and/or kill each other under the belief that their ideologies are right. However, it's subverted as he follows constructive evil and his role is to punish revolutionaries, anarchists, and individuals/factions of similar mindsets who went too far in bringing down authoritarian regimes.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Prince of Anarchy".
  • Meaningful Name: His name translates to "rebel" in Hungarian. He is a god of Rebels, as well as the harmful aspects of Anarchy and Disorder.
  • The Quincy Punk: Following his Ascension, he became like his mentor Dissonant Tune, dressing up as a Punk and acting extremely abrasive, violent, and foul-mouthed. He also instigates violent rebellions and coups in order to test anarchists, revolutionaries, and other anti-authority individuals/factions, owing to his nature as an infernal god of Anarchy, Disorder, and Rebels.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Zed and Lewis are completely unrelated in Lollipop Chainsaw, but here, they're brothers.
  • Slave Liberation: Subverted. He 'tests' his infernal adoptive family by instigating massive breakouts in their hell-fiefs, including the damned 'slaves' watched over by Lord Knechten. This is so his family can improve their hell-fiefs' security and weed out potential traitors among their forces. While Temnobog welcomes and even encourages this, several of his siblings, like Knechten, find him extremely annoying.
Lord Knechten: You've become a real pain in the flank, you know that?
Prince Lázadó: Hey, I'm just doing my bucking job here.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Deconstructed. His role is to punish anarchists, revolutionaries, and other anti-authority individuals/factions for going too far in their attempts to bring down authoritarian regimes by any means possible.

    Tabboush, the Black Beast

Tabboush (first introduced here) is the divine pet cat of Prince Dühroham Erobreseg and a terrifying creature of ill-repute in the Erobreseg Deer Realms.
  • Cats Are Mean: Zigzagged. The Erobreseg Deer fear him for being a herald of Temnobog's forces and a divine punisher of the wicked... but he's also a loyal pet who helped Dühroham recover from his foalhood war trauma. When not performing his duties, he acts like an ordinary house cat who loves relaxing and eating wet beef, and helps the Dark Purveyors by babysitting their adoptive/biological children.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: He was an orphaned kitten whose mother and siblings were wiped out by a brutal Civil War that was gripping the kingdom they lived in. He would have been obliterated in the following 'Calling the Terrors' event if Prince Dühroham Erobreseg of the Dark Purveyors had not rescued him in time.
  • Dark Is Evil: Played with. He's a black-furred, divinely-empowered cat who is infamously known as the "Black Beast" in the Erobreseg Deer Realms, and he helps his master, Prince Dühroham Erobreseg, torment the damned imprisoned in his hell-fief. However, he does have a softer side, as he frequently rescues people from dire situations, babysits the Dark Purveyors' youngest children, and acts like a normal house cat.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Played with. He's a black-furred, divinely-empowered cat who is infamously known as the "Black Beast" in the Erobreseg Deer Realms, but he frequently rescues people from dire situations, babysits the Dark Purveyors' youngest children, and acts like a normal house cat when not tormenting the damned or heralding the arrival of Temnobog's infernal armies. However, the fact remains that he is still feared among the Erobreseg Deer Herds for his association with Temnobog's family, especially Prince Dühroham Erobreseg, and his presence and roars have always led to doom and destruction (for wicked kingdoms and individuals, that is).
  • The Dreaded: After turning into a Divine Creature, he became feared throughout the Erobreseg Deer Realms for his demonic appearance, black fur, and the fact that he serves as the herald of Temnobog's infernal armies. To the Erobreseg Deer Herds, seeing him approach a kingdom is a sign that the kingdom was slated for divine punishment by the Bogolenya Deer Pantheon; two Deer from one such kingdom begged for mercy upon seeing him.
Deer 1: It's him! It's the Black Beast! He's coming for us all!
Deer 2: Please, have mercy on us! AAAAAAAAAH-!!!
  • Fluffy the Terrible: Tabboush is a fairly cute name for a cat, and it translates to "chubby" in Arabic. It's zigzagged — he's greatly feared in the Erobreseg Deer Realms because hearing his roars means Temnobog's forces are arriving to inflict divine judgement upon a wicked kingdom. However, he's a loyal pet to Dühroham (to the point of helping him with his war trauma) and helps his master punish the wicked; when not doing that, he's a Gentle Giant who acts like an ordinary housecat and serves as a baby sitter for the Dark Purveyors' youngest adoptive/biological children.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: He started out as an orphaned kitten struggling to survive in a kingdom gripped by a brutal civil war, after his mother and litter mates all died. He was rescued and adopted as a pet by Dühroham, putting him on the path to becoming a feared creature who heralded Temnobog's infernal forces and tormented the wicked dead.
  • Gentle Giant: Played with. He's the feared "Black Beast" who heralds Temnobog's infernal forces with a terrifying roar, and helps Dühroham torment the wicked souls imprisoned in the latter's hell-fief... but he's also a very affectionate cat who loves and is loyal to his master. He even babysits the Dark Purveyors' youngest children and gives them rides on his back.
  • Hell Is That Noise: His roars are rightly feared within the Erobreseg Deer Realms — it means the Bogolenya Deer Pantheon has issued a 'Calling the Terrors' event, and Temnobog's forces are coming to deliver divine punishment.
  • Meaningful Name: His name translates to "chubby" in Arabic.
  • Morality Pet: He ended up helping Prince Dühroham Erobreseg overcome his extreme PTSD, as looking after his own pet brought out the inner kindness and compassion that Dühroham's birth parents tried to suppress in him.
  • Oppose What You Suffered: He torments damned souls who abused animals and waged wars in life for petty reasons, while frequently rescuing war refugees and victims of abuse and racial persecution, because he was once an orphaned kitten who lost his mother and litter mates to a brutal Civil War in his native kingdom.
  • Parental Abandonment: His mother (as well as his litter mates) became collateral damage in the brutal Civil War that affected the kingdom he was born in.
  • Pet the Dog: Despite being an (constructive) evil feline, he frequently rescues war refugees and victims of abuse and racial persecution when not heralding the damnation of wicked kingdoms or tormenting the damned. He also babysits the Dark Purveyors' youngest children and gives them rides on his back.
  • Sole Survivor: He's the only surviving kitten of his litter; his mother and sibilings were all wiped out by the brutal Civil War that gripped the kingdom they lived in. He would have joined them in the following 'Calling the Terrors' sanction had Prince Dühroham Erobreseg not rescued him in time.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Being a cat, he loves eating wet beef.
