This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here

- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

I'd like to request a lock for Memes.US Politics Biden Era (and optionally the other political meme pages) because there's an extreme amount of misuse that increases every few days as people post knee-jerk reactions to every little political event there. That should give the folks trying to clean it all up a bit of breathing room.

Speaking of, I'd like to request to effectively replace the trope list segment at UsefulNotes.Joe Biden for Real Life Troping reasons and the discussion here. As mentioned there, if something really needs to be put back, it can be requested again.
Tropes associated with Joe Biden's portrayals in fiction:
- Butt-Monkey: The Onion's depiction of "Diamond" Joe Biden usually has him getting himself into hijinks (due to being portrayed as a mix of a Frat Bro, The Casanova and The Stoner) of which Obama had to bail him out of.
- Cool Car:
- Biden and his 1967 Chevrolet Corvette appeared in an episode of Jay Leno's Garage where he did burnouts in it and later drag raced a newer Corvette driven by a mysterious driver, later revealed to be none other than Colin Powell.
- The Onion portrayed him as driving a 1978 Trans Am, which he would wash shirtless in the White House driveway. The Obama Biden Mysteries, a series of novels that portray Obama and Biden as solving crimes like a modern day Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson after they leave the White House, actually features Biden driving a Trans Am in one of its covers, possibly as a direct Shout-Out to his The Onion portrayal.
- A sketch recorded for the 2014 White House Correspondents' Dinner had Biden interact with Selina Meyer of Veep, and he picks her up for a ride through Washington, D.C. in a brand-new yellow Corvette Stingray (perhaps as a reference to his real-life vintage one), although Selina doesn't seem impressed by it. Stills from the video have found their way onto memes and jokes, such as in Jimmy Kimmel Live! when Jimmy Kimmel joked, while showing a picture of Biden in the yellow Corvette◊, that it made him worthy of being called "the real Joe Exotic."
- Biden and his 1967 Chevrolet Corvette appeared in an episode
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: Portraying him and President Obama as very close friends was a very popular meme during their time in office together.
- Rail Enthusiast: Comedic portrayals of him being a rail-travel advocate parody this into a childish enthusiasm for "the choo-choos".
- "Sesame Street" Cred: Once he appeared in a 1993 episode of of Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Portrayals of Biden have taken his love of ice cream, especially vanilla soft-serve ice cream cones, and ran with it, taking any opportunity to shoehorn in a cone.

Would it be possible to put a lock on this page? He is a very controversial figure in political documentaries and I fear that will make the page prone to vandalism or edits with heavy opinion.

We have preemptively locked Creator articles before, but my question about D'Souza is why do we even need it? He doesn't write creative works and he's not featured in creative works. The article has no purpose on our wiki so should be cut.

Just because other problematic articles exist doesn't mean that Dinesh D Souza should to if it breaks our policies. That just means that we haven't gotten to evaluating those pages yet. In any case, this isn't the place to debate the existence of the page.

Correct, but if we don't have articles for them, nor do we have any meaningful trope lists in these Creator articles, then they don't belong here. In principle, documentaries can use tropes. In practice, most aren't tropable because there is insufficient narrative content, and in any event, the shit D'Souza vomits out probably violates ROCEJ.
If there's a better place to take this, please feel free to do so, but locking the article is not a solution to anything. It just means we have a bad, locked article.
I am also very irritated when every time someone brings up a problematic article, someone else points out a different article that we haven't talked about that potentially has the same issues. Two wrongs don't make a right, but equally, every article is different.

The Biden page revamp is well-done, looks a lot cleaner and less controversial. Just don't put the blame on me for it being locked, it's not my fault. It was the Mods' decision.
Also, D'Souza's a lying, dishonest propagandist to put it nicely. He doesn't deserve a page here, it'll only serve as Flame Bait.

Any particular consensus here on whether or not The King Of Hate should go in the Permanent Red Link Club?
His page was removed for being near-entirely bashing him, whilst his Horrible and Dethroning Moment subpages were cut for similar reasons.
I've already removed all the red links I know of, and removed some examples altogether.
